A) Deadpool

B) X-men Including X-men Days of Future Past and all the trilogies which X-men was the fav as we saw the rise of Professor X and Magnetto whom were a pretty damn good duo. They never got Gambit right until thank god for Deadpool once again saving the day.

However the clash of Deadpool origins as one describes his creation from a lab project gone wrong hence the first fight of Wolverine Origin and Deadpool in X-men Origina and the more current version of his timeline in which actually FRANCIS would not of been the object of hate much like wolverines hate for the Trucker in his original Wolverine Origins. Deadpool would have then been even more a foe of Wolverine but Wolverine maid it difficult for that Deadpool to even be a side note

Logan was maybe one of my stand alone Wolverine movie best thou and they were good to use that in the current Deadpool saga.

We all know what new Deadpool did with that montrasty of the old Deadpool in Deadpool 2

C) Iron Man was my favorite over the Cap America’s and really Cap got shorted a movie to make a saga as after Winter Soldier we were already in the Civil War and Avengers rise of Ultran

We had to get Buck’s story first then the Falcon was launched with the more recent 2025 Cap America.

D) The Avengers and nothing is as good a build up to End Game and the most iconic foe titan Thanos.

E) I ll take the Dark Knight my fist DC saga and yeah I am biased that went against my youth as I was a kid during my the Michael Keaton saga of Batman as well as Val Kilmer was my era of becoming a super hero movie fan along with original Superman movies with Christopher Reeves

F) I must not forget Blade

G) Guardians of the Galaxy

H) Spider-Man all of them Toby Andrew and Tom all rocked the shit out of that Spidey role I think they all great.

I) and they should have their own category Into the Spiderverse Across the Spiderverse and we know the end of this Saga is upon us in the near future

J) Thor as we do not have Loki either if we don’t have Thor

K) As well as Wakanda forever and the Black Panther saga

L) Man of Steel Batman vs Superman and Justice League I thought Man of Steel was the best but the other two didn’t make my cut for all time in my mind.

M) Dr Strange and all of his Multiverses of Madness

N) Venom one was awesome 2 I didn’t see yet but the upcoming Venom movie in the fall looks pretty good.

O) Antman was extremely great and

P) Hulk and only the Incredible Hulk not Eric Bana and Ed Norton was my preferred hulk but Ruffalo was a nice addition but he sort of was a stretch for me to be as good as Norton’s portrayal I was upset with the Hulk John Woo version and if you were around the hype was as bad as when we saw Godzilla in 1999 well actually a re vised Godzilla that was a far looking different Godzilla than the Godzilla we always saw growing up.

Q) Aquaman never really interested me but I guess we must include

R) Wonder Woman and 84 and we know she appears in Justice League as well as Batman vs Superman

S) Shazam not a big fan here but I got give respect that his series is better than anything in this next choice

T) Fantastic Four it’s a shame and hopefully they get it right with the next adaptation of Dr Doom who besides Thanos was really a bad dude in which took all Four and. Silver Surfer to take down.

U) Harley Queen as well as the Bird-of Prey and Suicide Squad

V) Spawn this needs a revision but I didn’t mind the OG.

W) Blue Beatle just saw it and it was a good start

X) Daredevil sorry Ben and double sorry as casted as Batman and that too was two strikes for Mr Afleck

Y) The Punisher

Z) Ghost Rider

Now the last few here technically didn’t make the Saga criteria but along with Logan even though it was an end but not for ever end .were decent hopefully to something that could have been even better if they did the adaptation better down the road. The Punisher series is a series I will have to revisit as well as the Flash but the Flash just could never get that mass fan fare as much as any other DC character I still think Superman or Batman is an always better draw for audiences which is a shame but it is the reality. And maybe it could have caught up to Spider-Man success but it really never launched as much as the future for DC moving forward.

Loved seeing "Titans" bring in the multiverse and have all those cameos!!! :D Plus this being 6 days before "The Flash" show is bringing it back in their next episode and before "The Flash" movie uses it in the films in June. Nice to see them include the animated shows, as well as hinting our Earth is also in the multiverse by actually having one of the comics' writers interact with Gar, as I don't remember the Arrowverse doing that if the different Earths mentioned or shown. Below are the ones I noticed and I've seen others point out as well, and there was a shoutout to Vixen too before Gar entered the multiverse.

William Allen Young as Dr. Rollie Guthrie, an ER attending physician with a very nurturing style; he takes Angus under his wing in his first days in the ER. Guthrie's wife committed suicide, a death that strained his relationship with his son, a surgeon. During season 2, Guthrie is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and undergoes corrective neurological surgery to delay the onset of symptoms. Guthrie had a daughter who died from carbon monoxide poisoning while Guthrie tried to save his son from a similar death.

Harry Ford as Dr. Angus Leighton, a first-year resident. His father is on the hospital board. He feels overshadowed by that and by the achievements of his older brother, a former resident, but slowly grows in confidence. In his second year he is encouraged to transfer and become a surgical resident.

Benjamin Hollingsworth as Dr. Mario Savetti, a first-year resident. He grew up poor and sees emergency medicine as his way out. He worked as a bartender before medical school.

Luis Guzmán as Jesse Salander, known as "Mama". A senior nurse who manages the residents, Jesse is tough but caring and supportive of the students. He and Dr. Rorish have a long-term, close friendship.

Boris Kodjoe as Dr. Will Campbell, Chief of Surgery. In season 2 he is assigned as the new Chief of the combined Surgery and Emergency medicine department in order to save costs, causing strife between him and Rorish. Campbell has a disabled daughter (season 2–3; recurring in season 1).

Jillian Murray as Dr. Heather Pinkney, a surgical resident who becomes involved with Mario.(season 2; recurring in season 1). He quickly ends it when he hears about her side relationship with Dr. Campbell. She gets in further trouble when it's revealed she's providing Angus with Adderall. When confronted by Campbell, she threatens to turn their past relationship into a sexual harassment case.

Noah Gray-Cabey as Elliot Dixon, a first-year resident in the ER (season 2-3).

Emily Tyra as Noa Kean, an ER resident and former dancer. She begins a relationship with Dr. Mario Savetti (season 3; recurring season 2)

Things I want from Itopia Series 3

This is a mix of genuine wants and also some silly things

A basic plot of Nina kidnapping Lwsi to try and create her own cure, and the others having to rescue her, therefore keeping the stakes high.

Cameo from Kit Reeve (English Alice) as a Zed because Lara Catrin cameo-d in Project Z and I think it would be funny.

Brian Hunter-Ed Thomas-FN Stine dynamic. Single dad club! Brian and Ed have a great deal of respect for each other but can’t stand Stine. Stine desperately wants someone to like him again and doesn’t understand why they can’t get over the ‘enabled the zombie apocalypse and endangered their children’ thing.

ALSO SOMEBODY’S MUM. Alive and preferably non-abusive. At this point I’m starting to wonder if there’s a shortage of middle aged welsh-speaking women.

Lwsi having another crisis, this time about whether she still counts as human.

Nina going on a proper messed up evil science power trip. Or, even more than she has already.

Alys and Macs NOT getting back together. Keep them platonic, Zac and Lwsi are doing an excellent job of carrying the romance.

Lwsi-Mari dynamic. Lwsi’s spent the last 3 years with Alys’ full attention on her. With Alys now having Mari to worry about, I imagine Lwsi must be experiencing a weird mix of relief and jealousy which could lead to some interesting interactions.

Lwsi-Ceri dynamic. Ceri is a walking reminder that Lwsi got lucky. Again, some interesting interactions.

Also just more of Ceri Stine as a character instead of a backstory.

Alys-Zac dynamic. I still haven’t gotten over the fact their first interaction was her chasing him out their house because he was helping Lwsi commit cybercrime only for their second interaction to be her asking him to commit more cybercrime. Also let Alys give him the shovel talk.

Zayn/Zane equivalent character! Alys rescues some strange skateboarding sixth-former from a school, who then follows her around for a bit and then continues to save other people when Alys has to return to the main plot.

Summary: It’s finally time to get your wisdom teeth taken out and you have a lot to say.

A/N: I’ve had this idea for literal years and I finally got around to it! I hope you all enjoy it, feedback is welcomed ✨

Today was the day…the day of horror. You absolutely hated going to the dentist, but your wisdom teeth were killing you. You wanted to just take them out yourself, but Sam and Dean convinced you otherwise. You’d have to get back at them for that.

There was a reason you waited so long to get them taken out: you hate the dentist. You seem to always have some kind of bad experience when you’re there. For example, one time you went to get a cavity filled and the dentist drilled into your tooth so far they hit the nerve, causing you a bunch of pain and your gums to swell up. After that, you vowed to never go to the dentist ever again. But of course, Sam and Dean stepped in and changed your plans.

You heard Dean calling for you, “Y/n! You ready to go?”

You sigh, “I’m coming, I’m coming.” Grabbing your jacket, you head out of your room and to the door of the bunker with Dean right behind you. You call out to Sam before heading out the door, “See you later, Sam.”

Sam nods his head, not bothering to look up from his book, “Don’t be nervous y/n, it’ll be over before you know it.”

Once you both are in the car, it’s mostly silent, neither of you need to talk when you both are aware that you don’t want to be going to the dentist. Reluctantly though, Dean speaks up. “So, how are you feeling?”

You turn in his direction with a dirty look on your face.

“Right, not a good question to ask.”

“You think?” you spat.

Dean doesn’t bother to respond and much to your dismay you notice you’re already at your destination. Getting out of the car, you both walk into the building and head to the front desk where a woman with perfect shinny teeth smiles brightly at you both. “Welcome! How can I help you?”

Dean smiles back at the lady, “Hi, my friend here” he points to you by his side, “is here for her wisdom teeth removal with Dr. Reeves.”

You don’t bother looking at her, instead finding the pamphlets on her desk more interesting.

Without breaking her smile, the woman hands Dean a clipboard with a bunch of papers on it, “Sounds good! If you could just fill out these information papers and bring them back to me, we’ll get her all ready for the procedure.”

“Thank you. C’mon, y/n, let’s get these papers filled out.”

You both sit down and Dean hands you the clipboard. You push it away, “Can you fill it out for me?” Your hands are shaking. ‘Why am I so nervous? I kill monsters for a living for fucks sake! This is the easiest thing I could do.’

Dean notices your shaking and pities you. Accepting your wishes, he fills out the paperwork. When he’s finished he goes back to the front desk and hands the paperwork over. “Everything looks good! Let me inform the doctor that she’s ready.”

Just as soon as the lady leaves, she returns, looking your way, “Y/n L/n, Dr. Reeves is ready to see you now.”

Oh no.

“Dean, I don’t think I can do this,” you manage to squeak out.

Dean places a hand on your shoulder, offering a smile, “You’ve got this, y/n. There’s nothing to worry about. Remember that I’ll be here in the waiting room until they’re done. It’ll be over before you know it.”

‘Yeah, he’s right. This will be fine.’

I give Dean a weak smile and head to the door. The lady motions me to sit in the dental chair and I do so tensely. I see a man in his mid-40s walk into the room.

“Good morning, Ms. L/N! Are you ready for your surgery?”

I chuckle nervously, “Actually doctor, I’m a little nervous about the whole thing. I’ve never had a good experience at the dentist.”

Another man walks into the room with us, presumably the dental assistant. He starts hooking me up to an iv bag and I take a deep breath.

“Don’t worry, Ms. L/N, I’ve been doing this for a long time. It’ll be over before you know it.”

‘If I hear someone say that one more time I’ll punch them straight in the jaw so they can deal with the dentist instead.’

Before you knew it, you were passed out. You don’t think you dreamed of anything, but you wouldn’t doubt it if you did. Lately, you’ve been dreaming of Sam. You had a crush on him for as long as you could remember. You’ve been meaning to tell him your feelings but every time you get the courage to do it something comes up, whether that be Dean walking into the room or suddenly becoming discouraged.

It seemed like no time had passed when you woke up in the dental chair. Your eyes grow accustomed to the lights and your arm aches from the iv being taken out of you. You reached up to touch your face. You couldn’t feel anything and started to freak out a little.

“Haha don’t worry Ms. L/N, your face is still there.” Dr. Reeves chuckled by your side. You heard another chuckle from the door. You looked over and saw Dean standing there with a smile on his face. He walked over to you, his smile never letting up.

“Hey, sweetheart. How are you feeling?”

“Blaaaahh,” was all you could say. You were still groggy from your forced slumber.

“She’s still groggy from the medication. Here,” Dr. Reeves hands Dean a little bag filled with medication, “Have her take two of the pills every five hours for the next few days and make sure she gets plenty of sleep and drinks a bunch of water. She also might say things that don’t make sense, but that’s completely normal. Also, make sure to change the gauze in her mouth every two hours.”

“Thanks, doc, my brother and I will make sure to take good care of her.” Dean shakes the doctor’s hand then turns to you. “C’mon y/n, let’s get you home.” He helps you sit up and out of the chair, arm around your shoulder, then guides you to the car and back to the bunker.

Sam was there by the door when you got there. He helped Dean take you to your bedroom and kept you company as Dean went to get you some water.

“See y/n, I told you it would be over before you knew it.”

You tried your hardest to punch him in the face, keeping your inner thought promise, but it just came out like a light tap instead. “I’ve heard that so many times today.”

He chuckled, “I’m sure you have, but we didn’t lie did we?”

You rolled your eyes the best you could, taking Sam’s hand without thinking, and fiddled with his fingers. “No, I guess not. But I still hated every second of it.”

Dean was taking a while getting your water so Sam decided to go check on him, pulling his hand away from yours. The warmth being pulled away from you made you whine.

“What’s wrong?”

You pouted like a child did when they didn’t get ice cream. “I want to keep playing with your fingers.” Your words made Sam smile, wondering what your thoughts were in this moment, being doped up on meds still.

He sat back down next to you and put his hand in yours. You blushed at the contact and it piqued Sam’s interest. “Just what is going on in that little head of yours?”

You had a dopey grin on your face as you looked up at Sam. Or was it Dean? You really were drugged up.

“I have such a huge crush on Sam. I’ve been meaning to tell him but I always get too nervous and can’t bring myself to do it.”

Sam was shocked. What did you just tell him?

You laughed at his reaction, your hands now moving to his face and stroking your thumbs along his cheeks. “Shhh, don’t tell Sam.” You were in a fit of giggles now.

Dean finally made his appearance, water and new gauze in hand. He stopped in his place when he saw the position you and his brother were in. “What’s going on here?”

Before Sam could answer his question, you did, “I-I’m in love with Sam but but don’t tell him, okay?” you were still giggling.

Dean resisted the urge to bust out laughing. “Whatever you say, sweetheart.” He walked over to your side and took out your old gauze and put in the new ones, allowing you to take a few sips of water in between. “Well, I guess I’ll allow you two lovebirds to talk or whatever.” and he left you and Sam alone once again.

You still had your hands on his face and a lovesick smile still going. As bad as Sam wanted to not pry at you to keep talking while in your vulnerable state he couldn’t help himself.

“So how long have you been in love with Sam?”

You giggle again. “Silly, you’re Sam!”

He laughed at your words. “Okay then. Well, how long have you been in love with me?”

Your face contorted into confusion and thought. “I t-think for as long as I’ve known you. You’re always so nice and gentle with me, always having my back and never judging me even right now.”

Sam was happy with your words. He too was in love with you and was glad to know you reciprocated his feelings.

You still had your hands on his face, but your eyes were starting to close. Sam saw that and decided it was time to let you rest.

Taking your hands in his, he lowers them into your lap. “I think it’s time for you to get some sleep, y/n. You look tired.”

You whined. “But if I go to sleep you’ll leave and and I don’t want you to leave!” You looked like you were about to cry.

“I’ll stay with you until you fall asleep. Deal?”

You pondered his words for a second. “Deal.”

He gave you a small smile and it made your heart melt. Letting go of your hands he places himself on the other side of the bed, pulling the covers back and settling both of you under them. Once you’re both settled under the warm covers you move closer to him, laying your head on his chest. You look up at him, love evident in your eyes, “I really do love you, Sammy.”

Now it was his turn to blush. Kissing you on the forehead and wrapping his arms around you he closes his eyes and relaxes, allowing sleep to take him. “I love you too, y/n, but let’s talk about it more when your medicine wears off.”

Giving a curt nod, you too let sleep take you for the second time today.

Here‘s who I‘d cast in a „A Little Life“ Movie:

Ramsey Nasr as Jude. Tbh, I can‘t imagine anyone else playing Jude. I saw excerpts of the theater piece online, and he was great!

Hugh Grant as Harold. Each time there were scenes with Harold, I always imagined Hugh Grant as him [Harold]! I feel like he fits perfectly for playing him, and no one can change my mind :D

Chris Evans as Willem. I wasn‘t too sure about this at first, but after giving it some thought, I think that he‘d be great for portraying Willem :)

Alfred Enoch as Malcolm. I‘ve seen many people choose him as Malcolm before and he‘s just perfect for him in my opinion! :D

Daniel Glover as JB. Another common choice for a JB cast, but he‘s just perfect for the role! :)

Kevin Bacon as Dr. Taylor. I don‘t know if any of y‘all watched „Sleepers“, but since I watched this movie, I couldn‘t see him in any other role as well…someone like Sean Nokes or, in this case, Dr. Taylor. I think that it‘s difficult for actors/actresses to portray someone like that, but he was able to make it seem so real in „Sleepers“, it was scary!

(I‘m sorry, very sorry-) Keanu Reeves as Brother Luke. Now before y‘all judge me, let me explain! Keanu Reeves is one of my favorite actors and he just seems so nice and friendly! But in this photo he just… I don‘t know how to describe it 😭 But I was looking at pictures of him on Pinterest and when this showed up, for some reason, The first thing that came to my mind was Brother Luke. I don’t know why and I have no idea why associate this picture with him 😭 I love Keanu Reeves sm, so why would I think of one of the most disgusting people ever when I look at this picture?! Someone explain.

THIS Tom Hardy as Caleb. He just seems so strong and kinda angry sometimes, it made me think of him right away. But I only think that he‘d resemble Caleb when he has this beard and has such a serious facial expression ^^‘ I‘m not 100% sure about this!

The SOLD OUT event saw some of the biggest digital creators going toe-to-toe for charity

TAMPA, FL (May 14, 2022) – In front of a raucous, sold out crowd at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, and also online at Moment House, the next evolution in influencer boxing took place. Creator Clash, created and produced by iDubbbz, in collaboration with Real Good Touring and co-creator Mike Leanardi, hosted an exciting night of boxing with some of the biggest digital creators facing off in the squared circle in pseudo exhibition bouts.

In the night's main event, Ian "iDubbbz" Washburn took on Mike "Dr. Mike" Varshavski. The fight went the full five-round distance, with the judges awarding the fighting Doctor the victory with scores of 50-45 twice and 49-47.

At times, the sold out crowd of fans in attendance was earsplitting, hanging on to every punch each participant threw.

In the five-round heavyweight co-main event, Harley Morenstein of Epic Meal Time stepped in the ring against Arin Hanson of Game Grumps. After two dominant rounds in which he imposed his size on Hanson, Morenstein got the technical knockout victory.

Real estate agent and investor Graham Stephan faced off against YouTuber and professional Fortnite player Michael Reeves in a five-round lightweight match. In the second round, Reeves landed three or four straight hands in a row that backed up Stephan to the ropes forcing the referee to halt the bout. The fight was stopped at the 1:48 mark of the second round.

The cruiserweight proceedings carried on with Brett "Hundar" Hundley of Muscle Party fighting Ab "Starkilla" Ayad of the H3 Podcast. Both creators took their time getting to the action in one of the more tactical fights of the night. Hundley was able to get the stoppage victory in the fifth round after the referee stopped the fight with 50 seconds remaining.

The ladies took center stage with Haley "Yodeling Haley" Sharpe battling Justa Minx in a junior middleweight bout. Minx and Haley went to war, trading bombs in each round. In the fourth round, after some clean right hands were landed in a row from Minx, the referee stopped the fight with just 50 seconds left.

In a five-round cruiserweight bout, Austalia's Alex Apollonov of "I Did A Thing," took on The Odd 1s Out Robert James Rallison. Apollonov made quick work of Rallison as he ate a series of right hands and jabs. The fight was stopped at the 1:24 mark of the first round.

In the first of two heavyweight bouts, Internet Comment Etiquette's Erik Hoffstad fought San Francisco’s DJ Welch. The California native scored multiple knockdowns in the first and second rounds en route to scoring a technical knockout. At the end of round two, the fight was stopped at the 2:00 mark.

The cruiserweight action continued with Ryan Magee of comedy-duo SuperMega facing off against Alex Ernst. After a series of exchanges, Ernst landed a right hand that sent Magee down to the canvas in the fourth round. The bout went the full distance, with the judges awarding Ernst a unanimous decision victory.

Kicking off the clash of the creators was Matt Watson of SuperMega facing off against Nathan "Dad" Barnett in a five-round middleweight match. “Dad” wasted no time and immediately began throwing power punches landing nearly every punch he threw. After a minute of nonstop blows, the referee halted the bout in the first round.

The amount raised for charity, which included the American Heart Association, The Alzheimer's Association and the Healing Horse Therapy Center, was astounding thanks to ticket sales, and once calculated, will be announced at a later date.

NCIS special agent Todd has a secret that could but the whole team into danger what happens when the news about the death of her dad triggers her powers to become stronger then she ever thought she could she will need to tell them before the nemesis of her youngest sisters best friend strikes again with a changed up mo she will have to reveal the secret to the rest of the team that doesn't know but how did the team take it.

Helene goes to sleep peacefully in her Alexandria apartment and Kate follows suit in her dc apartment while back in the sisters hometown Maura and Jane follow their night routine falling into bed side by side as they have done for a long time now back in her Beacon Hill home. The next morning Jane and Maura are faced again with the sculpting change in mo and Helene is enjoying a peaceful morning yoga session with both of her sisters and Jane’s as well. After yoga they all go off to work and Kate with a renewed sense of determination to help rid her sisters best friend of her personal nightmare she walks into work and sits down and goes though the files as the rest of the team filters in and she decides to go downstairs to train a bit more before Abby comes in to work. After finishing the training it hits her who it is with the files maura has sent over along with Claire’s on Lindsay’s personal nemesis she races back upstairs to the team all drowned in their own work and Salone waiting for her

Summary: Keanu found the girl almost dead, in the wrecks of what was once her car. While she was in surgery, stuck in a coma, he gathered the best doctors of New York to attend to her. They told him she is likely to have some kind of brain damage, what may lead to memory loss. And this possibility added up wit the fact that she's pregnant, made the council come up with an odd idea. They asked Keanu to pretend to be her husband, since the stress of finding out everything that happened could put the baby in danger. He reluctantly agreed, but only if she does has some kind of memory loss. He still goes she'll wake up soon, with her memories intact.

But when you finally wake up, there's nothing inside. You're quick to find your head is empty, void, like a blank canvas. The only thing that brings you some relief, that makes you feel less lonely is the mention of a husband. And you can't wait to meet him, because you know you can't deal with this by yourself.

Birth

Dr. Williams and two other nurses are the only ones here besides Keanu. You've been in agonizing pain for over an hour now, but it's finally time.

“You're completely dilated now.” Dr. Williams says from her place in between your legs. “You just have to push, alright? Can you do it?”

“No.” You cry, many tears staining your cheeks, hair attached to your face because of the sweat. The pain is too great, and you're conflicted by Keanu's presence. And you just can't. “I can't. I want a cesarian.” Pleading, you rest your back against the bed, hands covering your face.

“We can't perform a cesarian now.” Dr. Williams says. “(Y/N), you're ready. Your baby is coming and I get it that you're scared, but you're almost there. Just push.”

“I can't. I can't.” Voicing breaking, you feel as the sobs shake your body.

“(Y/N).” Keanu's voice reaches you, ripping through the chaos. Your eyes find him, standing away. But soon enough he comes closer, taking your hand. “You can do this, sweetheart. I know you can.”

Nodding, you close your eyes tight and push, biting back a groan as it feels like all strength is leaving your body. You can't faint now... You have no idea what would happen if you pass out.

“Good, (Y/N). Again.” Dr. Williams says, and so you do it.

“I can't.” Shoulders shaking, you squeeze Keanu's hand.

“I can see the head. A big push and it's over, (Y/N), c'mon.”

“One more,” Keanu repeats, moving to seat on the bed next to you. Nothing else matters now, and everything that happened is forgotten. You need him, so you just move, the best you can, your back against his chest as his free hand comes to grab your thigh, keeping your legs spread. “One more push and you'll meet Liam, sweetheart, you can do it.”

His voice brings you a new strength, and you turn your face to look at him, a hand finding its way to his face, pulling him closer so you can kiss him. Then, with your eyes still closed, you hold on to his biceps and push, with whatever strength still left inside you. You're almost giving up when a cry fills the hospital room, the pain surrenders, and Dr. Williams stands up straight, holding a tiny little human in her arms.

“Here he is.” She says, smiling. “I'll clean him up and I'll hand him over to you, alright?”

Still catching your breath, you nod, lying back down, colliding on Keanu's chest. The doctors do their stuff as you try to calm down after all this effort. You knew it wouldn't be easy, but you never thought it would be this hard. “I can leave if you want.” He says, letting go of your thigh. There will be a bruise there, but you don't mind.

“No.” You're quick to answer, voice a little harsh. Part of you doesn't want to need him, to love him this much, but you do. The heart wants what it wants. It loves who it loves. “Stay to meet the baby.”

“Alright.”

It takes a few minutes until Dr. Williams brings Liam to you. He's wrapped around a pale blue blanket since Keanu remembered to bring your bag when he went to pick you up at the hotel. And he's absolutely beautiful, so light you barely feel him in your arms.

“Hi, baby.” You whisper, barely hearing your own voice. Slowly, you touch his forehead with your fingers, softly, as if he's made of glass. You can't control the tears rolling down, but they're from joy this time. You can't believe you're finally seeing him, face to face, after carrying him inside you for so long. He moves his mouth a little, and slowly, he opens his eyes, curiously looking around before blinking a few times. “It's mommy, little one. And...” The words get caught in your throat, your heart sinking a little. “...And daddy...” You push out because Dr. Williams said babies can recognize the parents' voice from the moment they're born, and the father's voice belongs to Keanu, and you know how much it hurts to miss this man, you don't want Liam to feel the same pain. Turning your head to look at Keanu, you're surprised to find teary eyes focused on the baby. “D-do you want to talk to him?”

He nods, glancing at you. He does love this child, that's not up to discussion. “Hi there, little one.” He starts, voice a little clouded. “It's so good to finally meet you.” Liam seems to find you with his eyes, and they move from Keanu and back at you.

“Excuse me, Mr. and Mrs. Reeves.” Dr. Williams says, and the way she addresses you makes you move uncomfortably. “I must take the baby now. Run a few exams to be sure he's one hundred percent fine. Then we'll bring him back so you can feed him”

“Alright...” You don't want to let him go yet, but you knew about these exams. “Keanu, can you... Just keep an eye on him?” You ask in a low voice before Dr. Williams comes to take Liam from your arms.

“Sure.” Keanu slowly gets up, and you feel a little abandoned. But you shouldn't. You shouldn't have him this close, and you definitely shouldn't have kissed him.

But you can't take those things back. And you're not sure if you would if there was a chance.

You spend two days in the hospital, with Dr. Williams teaching you everything you'll need to know. But you've been taking classes, and reading many things about how to take care of your baby, so you think you can do it. Well, at least the theory. Laura comes to visit, and so does Lucia. Keanu doesn't leave except to shower and have dinner. Other than that, he's always around.

But the day comes when you can leave, so you bathe, dress up and wait for the nurse to bring Liam. You were trying not to think too much about it, but eventually, you have to. As you thank and watch the nurse leaving, you see as Keanu comes in, always a little embarrassed, avoiding your stare, head low. You haven't spoken much. Actually, you haven't said anything to him since the birth. You did thought he'd leave after that, but surprisingly, he stayed.

Holding Liam on one arm, very, very carefully, you try to pick up your bag. “Let me.” Keanu quickly says, making you stop your motion, eyes following him around as he takes the bag himself. “I can drive you wherever you'll be staying.” The words come out heavy as if they're piercing through his throat. “Or a cab, if–”

“No.” Cutting him short, you shake your head. There isn't anywhere else. The hotel is out of question, as is Lucia. And you don't want to crowd Laura's apartment with a loud, crying baby. And the house is ready to receive Liam, so, for now, there's no other place. “For Liam's sake, I believe it would be better if we stayed at your place. If that's not a problem for you, of course.” It takes a lot of effort not to call his place ‘home’. Because that's what that place is.

“Of course not.” He seems perplexed, furrowing his eyebrows a little before gesturing at the door. “Let's go.”

“Let's go.” You mutter, setting in motion.

Liam proved that knowing the theory doesn't mean you'll nail the real thing. At first, you find it strange that he sleeps too much, even though you read that newborn babies sleep for like seventeen hours a day, only to wake up when they're hungry. And that happens every two to three hours, which means you barely have any sleep. But you're completely focused on him, jumping to your feet whenever you hear that low-pitched cry.

You also start with the postpartum exercises, which was already planned, with a personal trainer that comes three times a week, so your body will go back to normal. You dropped many pounds very quickly. These things aren't that important, not now at least, that everything got real and you're still trying to deal with the web of lies you were caught into, but the routine gives you something else to think about.

The diet is carefully followed too, but that's all Keanu. You don't really see him, since you confined yourself to the guest room, where Liam is also sleeping in his crib, but the meals are always ready. He doesn't even give you the chance to cook something. When you go downstairs to eat, there's something ready for you.

The first month goes by slowly, and you're starting to get the hang of things. Since Liam spends most of the day in the bedroom with you, you asked Keanu to take him for his daily morning walks around the neighborhood. You agree with Laura, you can't and won't pull Liam away from him.

Sometime around Liam's second month, you're checking your face in the mirror. You look terribly tired, and you feel even worse. But the exhaustion is worth it, and you get a reminder every time you see or hear Liam. Taking a step back, you take a look at your body. You did recover from the baby weight pretty quickly since sometimes you have nothing to do but to keep repeating the exercises. You barely remember how you looked before.

Despite being a little early, you decide to call it a night, curling up in bed. You did miss sleeping on your stomach, but you spent so much time sleeping on your side that you just feel a lot more comfortable like this. You're having some kind of dream, about a peaceful beach when you're awakened by a gentle shake on your shoulder. Breathing deeply, you slowly float back into consciousness, raising your head and finding Keanu seated on the bed with a teary Liam on his arms.

“What happened?” You ask, already pushing yourself into a sitting position.

“Liam was crying. You didn't hear it so I came and changed him. But I think he's hungry.” Keanu says in a low voice, and you take Liam from his arms.

“I'm sorry he woke you up. I... I'm just tired.” You're surprised you fell in such a deep sleep you didn't hear Liam. “Thanks, though.” Sliding the strap from your tank top down your shoulder, you open the bra, freeing your breast which is easily found by Liam. It takes a while until you get reminded of Keanu's presence, your senses overcome by the need to feed your baby. So you give him a look, and you find his eyes locked on his hands cupped together on his lap.

“You don't have to thank me. I'm here if you need me.”

“Why did you do this, Keanu?” You didn't want to talk about it, but there's a freaking elephant in the room and you can't take it anymore. And you need to hear it from him because you're not sure where you're going from now. You're living one day after the other, but still, you feel lost. Clueless. “Why did you lie to me like that?”

“They told me you could lose the baby.” He begins, sad eyes finding yours. “Depending on how you'd take the news about the memory loss, Daniel's death, and the pregnancy. Dr. Wright said you were too hurt already, and your body wouldn't be able to deal with the stress.”

“Then it wasn't your idea.”

Silently, he shakes his head no. “I knew it wasn't fair to you. You needed Daniel, not me, a complete stranger, but if anything happened to you or the baby because I didn't agree with that crazy idea I'd never forgive myself.”

You're about to say something when Liam makes a little noise, and you look down at him. “Slowly, baby, slowly.” You whisper, caressing his cheek before speaking to Keanu again. “Why did you... Why did you...”

“Because I was in love with you by then.” He answers, knowing exactly what you're talking about. “I didn't want to. I mean, I did, I just... I knew I should have stopped, but I couldn't. I loved you so much. I love you so much and I–”

“I felt so violated. I thought I was making love with my husband, not with a stranger.” The words are harsh, but they're true. And the truth must be spoken.

“I'm so sorry, (Y/N). And I completely understand if you hate me.”

“I hate that I love you.” Muttering, you focus on the baby in your arms because you can't bring yourself to stare at Keanu anymore. “But I do. And it sucks because I feel that everything you told me was a lie. The first ‘I love you’ certainly was.”

He takes a deep breath, and you feel his eyes burning on you. “The first was, but all the other times...” Keanu moves closer, and you raise your eyes to meet his. “I love you. And I hate myself for everything I did, but I did it for you. And for Liam. I was terrified that you'd leave after knowing the truth, that you'd never want to look at me again but I rather have you hating me than seeing you or the baby in danger.”

“Ke, I...” You don't know what to say, and you curse yourself for calling him that.

“The only thing I need to know, if you have any affection for me, even if it's as small as a speck of dust... Please... Is there any chance we could... Somehow make this–”

“I don't know.” Cutting him off, you feel a tear rolling down, so you look away. The hurt in his voice breaks your heart, and you want to hug him, kiss him. “I don't know. I-I'm here, and I don't know what to do next... I have feelings for you but I'm still heartbroken. I don't know when I'll be able to... Look at you as I did before. You're not my husband, and I'm not Mrs. Reeves.”

“And Liam is not my son, I know that.” With a heavy sigh, he gets up, making his way to the door.

But you won't let him go, not until he hears it. Not until he hears the truth. Now, more than ever, the truth is a sacred thing, and you will speak it, it doesn't matter how you feel about it. The truth is above that. “You may not be his biological father, but I'll let you be his father.” You raise your voice just a little for him to stop, but not enough to bother Liam. “He grew up inside me listening to your voice, feeling your presence, if that's even possible, and influenced by all the love I have for you. And I won't take that away from Liam, I know he loves you.” It's pretty clear that the baby knows Keanu. He feels good when held by him, and when for some reason the morning walks can't happen, Liam cries his heart out, only to be put to rest if Keanu takes a fake walk with him through the house. “If you love him... It doesn't matter what will be of us, I want you to be around Liam.”

His eyes are intense, full of sadness, confusion, and things you can't understand. “I do. I love this baby and I love you.”

“Then will you let us stay? Until... I don't know. Until somehow we figure this out. Because even if I move out, I won't be far.” You're trying not to cry, at least not in front of him. You don't know what will happen next, or when, but you're happy to know you'll be here today, and tomorrow, and the day after. Then... You'll see.

“(Y/N), you can stay here for as long as you want. This is... Your house too, even though you don't feel like it anymore.”

Nodding, you look down at Liam again, who already stopped sucking and has fallen asleep again. “He's out.”

“Do you want me to put him back in his crib?” He reluctantly offers. Keanu is back at the very beginning of this. Distant, trying not to make you feel uncomfortable.

“Yes, please.” Slowly, you pull him off your breast, quickly covering yourself before giving him to Keanu. You watch as the mountain of a man delicately puts Liam down, fixing the blankets around him before walking away.

“Good night, beautiful.” He says, immediately stopping by the door and looking at you. “I'm sorry, I shouldn't have called you–”

“Good night, Ke.” You mutter, turning on your side and closing your eyes shut again.

All Is Bright Again: Inside The Kennedy Center’s Star-Studded 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert

Celebrating 50 years of world-class art, innovation, education and community, the Kennedy Center hosted a magical night of music, dance and even spoken word poetry for its 50th anniversary celebration concert on September 14 — and suddenly, to those of us in the audience, all felt right in the world.

The concert hall was electric from the star-studded lineup, with appearances ranging from first lady Dr. Jill Biden for opening remarks to Oscar- and Grammy-winning artist Common, who closed the show with an inspiring, uplifting two-song performance that included “Black America Again.” Artists like Kennedy Center Hip Hop Culture Council Member Robert Glasper and rapper D Smoke exuded musical relevance with “Common Sense” while guitarist Grammy Award-winning guitarist Keb’ Mo’ and Grammy-winning bassist Christian McBride honored musicians who came before them with Leadbelly’s “Black Betty.”

The audience roared for six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as she gracefully stepped onstage to host this one-of-a-kind show directed and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse. But let it be known that this nearly three-hour production had something for everyone to enjoy, and more than enough for my desperate-for-live-concerts, music-loving soul.

If you have never seen the National Symphony Orchestra perform before, this was the night to develop an unwavering appreciation and totally swoon. Conductors JoAnn Falletta, Steven Reineke and Thomas Wilkins led this group with heaps of bright energy, filling the room with tranquility and light. Luckily for us, this also meant ample solos from the prodigious and expressive Taiwanese-Australian violinist Ray Chen, who wowed at every given moment and sent the audience into a collective chuckle when flirting with soul icon Bettye LaVette.

With the orchestra playing behind most of the night’s vocal performances, this Kennedy Center experience was elevated into unmatched, intimate concert territory. When Broadway and opera star Kelli O’Hara enchanted us with Sondheim’s “Take Me to the World” from “Evening Primrose,” I immediately got goosebumps that turned straight into happy tears when Darren Criss came onstage right after to serenade us with a new rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Misérables,” with just his guitar and smooth tenor voice to guide us.

The musical theatre geek in me was over the moon when Criss came back onstage minutes later to join TikTok sensations Emily Bear and Abigail Barlow for a duet of their song “Oceans Away” from their newly released album “The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical.” I followed the duo, known as Barlow & Bear, for eight months on the Internet as they wrote and composed the album right in front of our eyes in a myriad of encapsulating TikTok videos, so seeing them perform lyrics that have been stuck in my head for months for the first time in person was a real treat.

While it felt as though this celebration was highlighting luminaries of the present and future, it just as much recognized soulful powerhouses who have been performing for decades, such as jazz singer Dianne Reeves, who scatted and belted Duke Ellington’s “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If it Ain’t Got That Swing)” alongside McBride and Chen on the violin, and Lavette, who put tears in our eyes with her powerful cover of George Harrison’s “Blackbird.”

Among some of the powerhouse vocalists mentioned above, there was incredible tap dancing, intense ballet choreography with dramatic lifts, modern bluegrass and Americana vibes from Punch Brothers combined with powerful blues vocals from Lake Street Dive’s Rachael Price, and a moving spoken word piece called “Dignity as Currency” from Marc Bamuthi Joseph, vice president and artistic director of social impact at the Kennedy Center.

The evening ended on a high note — literally, from Broadway star Joshua Henry’s talented voice — with Common’s (and John Legend’s) brilliant Academy Award-winning song “Glory” from the movie “Selma.” While Common rapped in honor of the memory of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Trayvon Martin, among others, the cast from David Henry Hwang’s “Soft Power” sang the heart-clenching “glories” in the background.

Of course, there was nothing but respect and applause for the uplifting message and powerful tribute from this finale group. The praise may have only been louder when Henry had brought down the house moments earlier with a fiery rendition of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.”
