DP OC Parade, Day 3: Worst Fear

I spent a lot of time on this picture because I don't like the colors. So I'm behind schedule, haha

Of course, no matter how brave Donna tries to be, deep down she will never stop being afraid of him. That he will take away her freedom again. That she will not be able to protect her siblings from him. That she will screw up and he will take everything from her.

Therefore, it is her duty to protect those she loves. At any cost.

SILENCE ALEXANDER

Silence is a ghost librarian who roams the Ghost Zone and the living world in order to learn everything there is to know about ghosts!

Age: ~150yrs

Height: short

Sexuality: Bisexual

Gender: Bisexual*

Powers: pyromancy, smoke-mancy, book summoning, encyclopedic knowledge of ectobiology and ghost history, and also literally possesses multiple encyclopedias about those things. She wrote most of them.

Weaknesses: water, her own hubris, emotional constipation, Vlad Masters who said that? must've been the wind...

Silence keeps a massive hoarde of unique books and strange artifacts in her library inside the Ghost Zone. She will even lend these books and artifacts...in exchange for information of equal value! Plus, whatever info you offer isn't safe from being traded with others just as readily, should someone have a worthwhile offer for it! If someone uses that information to hurt you, then that isn't Silence's problem.

She uses one such artifact to disguise herself and traverse the human world. She is completely unable to use any ghost powers while disguised, but she doesn't seem to mind. In fact, she can almost forget she's a ghost at all...except that she can't taste or feel things the same way a human could.

She's very knowledgeable, but sometimes her pessemistic biases lead her to draw questionable conclusions. She assumes that all ghosts are fundamentally self-serving-- which means there's nothing wrong with her being selfish too!

PLOT INVOLVEMENT:

Silence met Vlad in the 90s, and was beyond thrilled that an unprecedented creature like a Halfa could exist. They got along like a house on fire and made it everyone else's problem for a year or so.

Then Silence suddenly disappeared, leaving Vlad with unfettered access to her many, many resources. How strange...

Silence reappeared 10 years later (during the events of the show) and wasted no time getting petty revenge by setting Vlad's mansion on fire.

She's not satisfied with just destroying his belongings, though. Silence also makes a point to befriend the Fenton family in disguise, using them to catch up on the years of research she missed.

Danny catches on almost immediately, but Silence is able to win him over with promises of Ghost Zone knowledge and dirt on Vlad. She seems to know a little more about Vlad than a "former business partner" should, but hey, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, right? And Danny doesn't have a lot of friends in the Ghost Zone.

Unfortunately, Danny will go on to learn that Silence is actually friends with most of his OTHER enemies, because Silence firmly believes that the ends justify the means when it comes to getting her hands on valuable information.

Even her and Vlad's mutual hatred seems a little, um...layered. Not that either of them will ever admit it.

Silence does not consider herself evil or underhanded, just...driven to succeed. She firmly believes that everything she does is necessary, and serves the greater good of scientific advancement.

Silence lived a very lonely human life and died feeling irrelevant and replaceable. She sees a kindred spirit in Vlad, which is both attractive and infuriating. She was deeply in love with Vlad during their time together in the 90s, but she refused to tell him and he was blinded by his focus on Maddie as usual. Vlad's betrayal reinforced Silence's pessemistic worldview and her unwillingness to be honest or vulnerable with others. Somehow, though, it didn't completely get rid of her crush on him...much to her continued chagrin.

Heyo! Here's my guy! Introducing himself for day 1 of the OC parade! •^•

I'll give some backstory on my guy (both the design process and lore under the cut!

This right here? My guy? I made him because I wanted a fire/candle dude.

But that's just the beginning of his journey! Allow me to show some earlier sketches just so y'all can see just how much I enjoyed designing this man. I think I've been drawing him for at least a year, though I've rarely shown him off XD

So as you can see by all these sketches, figuring out his colours actually felt really difficult, while his general silhouette got very few changes (a more unique face, he gained an arm, ect.) And I'm honestly really happy with how he currently is, even if he is very bright.

In fact he is so bright that I forgot to check my values when I drew him at 2 AM, and had to mess around in my phone to make the contrast a bit better XD

Using a saturation filter to check the values even after you've finished a piece is actually really useful (just a tip) •^•

Anyway, design history of my guy aside, Ignis had a finished design for maybe a few months (colour aside) but what he didn't have... Was lore.

Yes. For the longest time, to be he was just 'sneaky, conniving meow meow fire man' and I didn't even have a name for him - I just wanted to design a fire man but had no lore attached to him.

But since the DP OC parade? Oh lord, does he have lore. ฅ⁠^⁠•⁠ﻌ⁠•⁠^⁠ฅ

Basically, Ignis was created when the library of Alexandria was burnt down. He's not entirely sure himself if he manifested as the collective emotions surrounding the event, if he was some unfortunate guy who died there, or if he is the library himself, but when he came to, all he could remember was that one event.

Over the years, he's dedicated himself to preserving information, books, scrolls, paperwork, anything important. His enthusiasm and reliability netted him a spot in the ghost king's court as an advisor, a few rulers before Pariah.

Once Pariah took the throne, Ignis decided that he did not support anything this man did, and 'accidentally' started making poor strategies for him. And leaking a few good ones to the ghost zone resistant groups.

Once this was found out, he was promptly fired, but not before Pariah reimbursed him for his betrayal - an eye for an eye so to speak. And also an arm. He was also forced into hiding, because he was to be hunted down for treason, but he escaped.

Eventually, The ghost king's wife, Hera (might provide a pic of a sketch of her later if asked) decided to divorce Pariah. She didn't do it for the longest time because she was trying to pull legal authority and mitigate damage, but she realised that there's not much more she could do, so she straight up left to openly plan with his enemies.

Unfortunately, her role in the resistance and all the plans and insights she gave proved her a capable leader, and there was one faction that didn't want anybody to be ruling the ghost zone once Pariah fell - The Observants council.

This is relevant because while Ignis was on the run, they did their best to erase all records of all insider dissent in the court, and only give very general statements of fact about people like Ignis and Hera leaving, thus painting them as cowards at best.

Ignis was understandably quite pissed, because he knew that what they were doing is manipulating the people into essentially letting the Council rule. Even if he was technically a free ghost after the ancients sealed Pariah, the Observants basically began another reign of terror based on misinformation and censorship.

Ignis absolutely despises people in power wielding it for terrible purposes, and especially by obstructing information that to him should be available for the people to know and form conclusions off of.

Fortunately his former queen found him and she took him back to her lair with the rest of the surviving court dissenters.

And there, the group plans to if not dismantle the council, then reform it to be an actually functional governing organ with less corruption.

Like, no copious amounts of ecto, no exposed insides or stuff like that. If you want to give him a mild splatter and focus on his waxed over missing eye and arm, that's chill, just keep it mild.

DP OC Parade, Day 4: Café or Bar?

Could there have been any other answer? Right! No!

COME ON IN, DON'T CROWD, THERE ARE ENOUGH ROOMS FOR EVERYONE!!!

WOAHHHH my DP ocs....which are actually just AU versions of my normal ocs yay <3 got so excited for this event bc i love ocs that i drew new lil references for them on the spot. bc i did not have any before now. which is why i'm late to day 1!! just pretend this is also for day 2. even though it's not reverse AU for these ghosts to have human designs. because they're adaptations of ocs i already have and i decided they were humans who died and became ghosts LOL... and of course Reo is here. he's human and still alive. further oc lore concepts will be under the cut ↓

OK. so. Maverick first. he's a poor teenage ghost who is REALLY passionate about mail. he was quite lonely and pushed-aside (thanks in large part to his brother) when he was alive, so as a ghost his greatest desire has become "acknowledgement", in a sense. as a ghost he can't speak, so he just writes and sends letters. one of his ghost powers is just being able to instantly pull written and sealed letters out of his bag. so if you were to have an actual conversation with him he'd just be handing you endless amounts of letters over and over again... he can also manipulate or summon other mail, doesn't just have to be his own.

ironically, his other main ability is pyromancy. he can burn your mail just as easily as he can deliver it, lol. the fire powers is bc i associate him with fire in my original oc story but also because he's slightly based on the phrase "going postal," so. he has a bit of a hot temper here. i imagine that most people or ghosts aren't keen on answering random letters from someone they don't know, (humans especially are prone to ignoring spam mail) so he still ends up ignored (he gets ghosted, you could say). and then he gets mad.

this would lead in to the hypothetical Episode that exists in my mind. which i would title "going postal" haha. basic plot rundown is that Maverick would be trying to get Danny's attention with some letters, but Danny is a veryyyyy busy guy and would keep accidentally, or through hijinks, ignoring or destroying the letters, both in human and ghost form. this would be the last straw for Maverick and he'd get pissed enough to attack. he wouldn't be a reoccurring antagonist though, as I imagine the miscommunication would get resolved by the end of the episode.

and now for Reo!! he's a student at Casper High and is on the baseball team. which i don't recall if the school is ever mentioned as having a baseball team in the show? but it's a high school. it has one. anyways, he was one of the random people selected to receive Maverick's letters, and one of the only ones ever to actually send a reply. he's VERYYY curious by nature. so even if it is weird as hell to get a letter out of nowhere from someone you don't know, he'd probably reply.... and then he keeps replying even after he finds out his new pen pal is a ghost. he's nice like that. so hooray for MavReo friendship.

As for canon interactions. I did consider the idea of like. One day Reo takes Maverick to school with him, and it keeps setting off Danny's ghost sense. So Danny's freaked out all episode bc there Must be some Ghost following him around school all day ...sneaking ...stalking.... But actually it's his random background classmate passing notes w a ghost all day long. I also have another (human) character from my oc story that Reo is friends with that I didn't do an AU design for (yet?). In this setting, they would definitely try to do ghost investigations together. so that could be a goofy episode plot, that Danny has to manage some random students poking their nose in ghost stuff. WITH another ghost, no less.

now for "Ricky." in my regular oc story his name is a secret but i had to call him something for the sake of this AU so just don't mind my weird quotation marks. he and Maverick do NOTTTTT have a good relationship. he's the sorta typical jerk older brother who has no time for his sibling. doesn't care for that kid at ALL. Maverick is annoying, yeah, and it's really just stupid that their names are so similar, sheesh.... he would definitely be an antagonist, possibly reoccurring, because he's an asshole.

i do not have a little episode plot in mind for him yet, but his main thing is shapeshifting. i imagine he has all the basic ghost abilities everyone seems to have (invisibility, flight, intangibility) but beyond that, the shapeshifting is his only shtick. mostly because that's what he does in the original story AND i'm not trying to make him overpowered. you can do a lot with impersonation, especially since i have him able to mimic humans (something Spectra needs to siphon teenage angst for lol). So. bc he's kindof an all around jerk he would definitely just use this ability to cause problems. it is fun for him...

Not in the way that people notice. Not in the way that makes them stop and ask what’s wrong.

It wasn’t fast. It wasn’t violent. It wasn’t loud.

It was slow. A quiet kind of fading. The kind that starts with loneliness.

She remembered being a child, bright-eyed and full of wonder, dreaming about the stars while the world around her turned cold.

She remembered laughter that wasn’t meant for her. Life had no reset button, no manual, and definitely no pause option when things got too messy.

She learned early that pain wasn’t always loud.

Sometimes it came in whispers, in the absence of touch, in the way people pretended she wasn’t there.

Sometimes it came when they forced her to move schools, ripping her away from the only friends she had, making her start over again and again and again.

She stopped trying after a while. Stopped believing that anything she built would last. Stopped believing that people meant it when they said they cared.

Her father passed away. And with him, she lost a part of herself.

She didn’t talk about it. She didn’t cry.

She just existed… moving through life like a ghost long before she ever became one.

Until him.

Until Danny.

The boy with messy black hair, tired eyes and the stupid NASA shirt, standing alone at the bus stop like he didn’t belong anywhere either.

She didn’t know what made her talk to him that day. Didn’t know why he looked at her like she was someone worth knowing. Didn’t know why, for the first time in years, she felt alive.

Maybe that’s why she followed him into that lab. Maybe that’s why she didn’t listen to him when she should have. Maybe that’s why… when she reached for the button, she didn’t stop to think about what might happen.

Because deep down, Hailey had always known—

She was never meant to stay human.

And Danny?

Danny had become something… colder.

Darker.

She saw it the moment he turned to face her, standing there in the ruins of their past, his eyes… dead and empty, his smile too sharp, too… cruel.

“Well, well.” His voice was nothing like she remembered—low, detached, laced with something almost amused. “Look who decided to haunt… me.”

Hailey’s chest tightened. She hadn’t wanted this. Hadn’t wanted to come back. Not really. Hadn’t wanted to see him like… this.

But there was nowhere left to run.

She had spent so many years pretending she didn’t miss him, pretending that what happened hadn’t broken something inside her.

And now he was standing right in front of her, and all she could think was—

“I thought you were… dead,” she giggled carefully.

Danny laughed.

Not a warm laugh. Not the kind she remembered. This one was cold, detached… unforgiving.

“I am.”

Hailey swallowed hard, her hands curling into fists.

Five years ago, they had been almost everything to each other.

Now?

Just… ghosts and something in between, echoes of who they used to be.

DP OC Parade, Day 1: Introductions

Meet Donna! Donna is the oldest of the Danny's clones created by Vlad, self-proclaimed "big sister" and the leader of little rebellious bunch of them, who leads her 'family' with an iron hand. She is very protective and caring towards her siblings, but also cunning and manipulative sometimes. Sarcastic, tough, and confident on the outside, deep down, Donna is insecure and envious of her original template, Danny Phantom, and she has a desire to prove that she is better than him. She hates her father with all her soul and dreams of turning his life into hell.

And... better not ask her about the hand. Donna definitely doesn't like to talk about it.

Hey yo is that a rat why yes its CAP'N RATTAGUE

I saw that danny phantom oc parade and was like hey i got one of those i should draw him again

He's a pirate that was abandoned by his crew for being sickly. As he was dying he saw the rats surrounding him as his friends and hoped his dead body would nourish them for a long while. As a ghost he is CAPTAIN RAT he travels the ghost realm on his lil boat and is able to ferry ghosts around. He's able to turn into a big group of rats, control rats, summon rats from inside his cape. His whole schtick is rats jfjdsj.

He starts out as an antagonist for danny but eventually danny finds a way to become friends with him and get him into a stable position. Think of it like ice king from adventure time. He swings wildly between different moods and sometimes falls back into being a villain. He's most calm when hes on his boat.

Ghosts have to pay to get on his boat and through this hes got a big collection of treasure stowed away someplace secret on his boat.

Vlad has been banned from his boat and unbanned many times

Introduction:

Alex is a 16-year-old laid-back, half white, half latino spoiled rich kid who likes to game and simply hang out. Like Sam, he doesn't "flaunt" or show-off that he's rich, other than wearing expensive clothes simply because he likes the style. He doesn't really care about being goth, but his appearance tends to say otherwise. He wears three piercings in each ear and always wears a tight thin black choker and a black necklace underneath. He loves wearing dark grey or black clothes. He's gay, but tends to hide it, and will often mention his ex-girlfriend to further hide it.

He just wants to chill. He's very kind to others, but will quickly put a bully in their place if they make trouble with him. He's thin, tall, and lean, and strong underneath his slim exterior.

Hannah Black is a new student at Casper High, dragged along by her father who got a new job at Axiom Labs. She quickly realizes that Amity Park is some crazy town with ghost attacks nearly every other day. One day, as she is hanging out at her dad's work for a bring your kid to work day, she is attacked by ghostly insects that once attacked Casper High.

Common activities/hobbies: Hannah is a gymnast, but spends a lot of her time listening to music and skateboarding around.

Setting: Set in the modern 2000s, around when the show came out.

Additional stuff to keep in mind: She's definitely a tomboy, leaning that way more as she sticks to more pants and shorts. She wears leggings in her ghost form as it is most comfortable and closest she can get to wearing a leotard.

Saoirse Keane (Seer-Sha) | 18 | She/Her

18 Year old transfer student who just recently moved to Amity Park following a traumatic injury, her family decided that she needed a fresh start after her finally recovering from her accident where she was mauled by a large bear. The family decided that little ol’ Amity Park is the spot. She starts as a senior at Casper High. She’s ends up on the bad side of the A-Listers after snapping after being bullied by some of the popular girls and is thrust from the social hierarchy to the weird kids club. Which she prefers anyway. Unbeknownst to her that bear was not a bear, but a werewolf. She has yet to have her first shift but I’m sure a certain trio might think she could be a possible friend of Wulf she does eventually shift. She’s a huge nerd who loves to draw and game. She plays Doomed 24/7 and has 100% ganked the trio, even Sam.

Personality

She’s kind, empathetic, she feels her emotions 10x more than a normal person should, she has chronic anxiety after her accident and tries to keep her emotions in check, tired 24/7, she is prone to anger, will have sensory overloads due to her heightened wolf senses so she prefers to eat alone during lunch time and avoid any activity that has a large crowd. She is passionate about her interests she loves to draw and game.

Keen senses (She has her own version of a ghost sense which is highly accurate),

Honed Nose (much to her horror, she does not want to smell most of these smells)

Excellent Hearing but will overwhelm her (prone to having sensory overloads due to all the heightened senses)

Fast and powerful in her wolf form, human form not so much.

Faster healing

She can shift during moments of EXTREME stress/life or death situations. Her powers are tied to her emotions and if she’s highly emotional her feral instincts might override her human side of her brain. During the full moon she’s nothing more than a slavering beast, so it’s best to keep away from her during that time.

Her fur is soft to the touch and she won’t ever admit it but she does like being pet in this form.
