We have started selling a doujinshi that compiles the Honkai Star Rail comics I posted on the web. A digital version is also available. The content is in Japanese only; I'm sorry. Except for the three pages of newly drawn comics, everything can be read on Pixiv.

Scanlation: Tankoubon Dai-Yon Maki Kinen Shousasshi (new part only)
My English scanlation of the new mini-manga from the MR doujinshi "Vol.4 Sale Anniversary Booklet".
Sorry this took so long! As you'll see, I've only included the previously unpublished part of this doujin (I have a lot of stuff going on🤣).
The rest is made up of release booklets for Vol.4 and Twitter sketches etc. that I've uploaded before. I'll get to including them at some point, but it's fiddly and time consuming.
Read it below or download here or here.

Check out the master post at the top of my page to find all my MR scanlations!

Aikyudo's Undertale Merch Master Post Pt. Two!
I have so much stuff I need a part two for it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is about as official as official merch gets. XTale comic, XTale Secret Entries Zine, Cross pillow and charm by Jakei, distributed by LoadingCrewCrafts. I would really encourage anyone who wants fun merch to check them out. They're a little pricey, but I've been happy with a lot of the art from that crowd.

Paper Crane comic by Little_Noko, also distributed by LoadingCrewCrafts. I am planning on buying some more Crane merch since it's available. There's a cute little plastic standee that I've been having my eye on for a while now.

Game Night Zine by Cold Grove Studios. I had accidentally ordered two zines, one under my married name and one under my maiden name. Whoops! I've been thinking about reselling the extra one just to recomp the cost I paid, but I'll have to ask about their resell policy.

A silly little Wing Ding comic by DokHertz. I simply came across this on Etsy and decided to grab it, no vast story with this one.

Honestly, my crowning jewel. I had been staking out The Crayon Queen's tumblr/etsy for literal MONTHS trying to get my hands on these bad boys. When I saw that there were some available on her Etsy I just about shit myself, haha.

The Live, Laugh, Bone calender, ordered from September 2023. I actually haven't hung it up or used it at all this year, I just don't have the space for it. Well, maybe I'll try hanging it on the side of my green bookcase? Actually, that's not a bad idea....

I managed to grab this after their main sales had wrapped up, they had some leftover sales that I snatched up pretty quickly. There's actually several artists in this that I had been following on Twitter, but didn't know because their art styles had improved so much!

A super cute Dude&Bruh doujinshi from Twitter! The artist seems to be constantly doing more sales due to demand- and I understand why! The art is super great, the expressions are amazing, and it feels nice to hold. Only downside... I can't read Korean, haha.

okay but what about mangaka jade who is known for writing some of the most batshit insane stories? they’re always so bloody and graphic, scenes depicting victims having their organs removed are always so… realistic in their portrayal some internet users have begun suspecting him of the bodies found around the city! but it’s just fiction, of course - it’s not like he derives any pleasure from seeing the human body disfigured beyond belief, until it’s but a lump of flesh and organs in disarray. just don’t question too much when you receive a request to model for mangaka! jade, even if the location he sends you is hours away from the city >_<
OOOOOO imagine being an internet sleuth trying to decipher the strange and mysterious mangaka known only by the pen name: naoh. They're a very talented artist and storyteller, but they're just so shrouded in anonymity! naoh never attends any conventions or events, but they do self-publish and sell their works through doujinshi and manga websites. naoh is rather particular when it comes to their work. They never resell works that have already been published. In essence, once a work is sold out it's never going to be sold again, and they only ever create a maximum of two works each year with limited numbers of copies. naoh themself isn't very active on their social media, only ever posting the rare WIP or an update on when a new work will be up for sale. Despite their quiet social media presence, they have gained quite the following. naoh never follows anyone on their account, and it seems like they rarely engage with fellow mangaka and creators with similar interests. They work alone.
You're a fan of naoh's work. The way they draw the human body is fascinating. It's something that could be seen in an anatomy textbook; it's always so realistic and yet still so eerily beautiful and stylized! You'll never forget how they draw emaciated bodies. It's an image imprinted in your brain: horrifyingly realistic and skeletal, a figure so gaunt it's quite literally skin and bones drowning in clothing that can no longer fit comfortably. You've always wondered how they manage to draw such visceral scenes (like the ones depicting clinical dissections or decaying corpses). And then there's the way they depict fear. It's almost always raw, stretching the characters' features into something horrific. It looks so real; it feels tangible. Fans often speculate if naoh has a job in law enforcement or any other profession that deals with the more grotesque and graphic sides of humans, which could be references for some of their horror stories and could explain why they're so good at depicting details.
But then there are the fans who go beyond simple, innocent curiosity and begin to ask disturbing questions: What if naoh isn't with law enforcement? What if, rather, they're the exact opposite: a criminal? It feels like a silly theory, but when you flip through the physical copies of their work and compare the plots to the yet-to-be-solved cases throughout the past few months you begin to spot a few minor similarities. They're never glaring; after all, naoh is a master of crafting both cutthroat terrors and subtle horrors. The type that builds suspense over time. The type that crawls into your head through your ear to whisper nonsense at night. The type that slowly forms a picture over time, but once you realize this it will have been too late.
In their most recent work, a young man is out for a hike when he takes a stumble and falls down a dangerous slope, landing on a rocky outcrop that breaks his leg and leaves him trapped many feet above the ground. He tries to call for help, but no one seems to hear his voice. He spends days on the outcrop, slowly losing hope and sanity. By the end of the story, he's so certain he's going to die that he drags himself over to the edge and free-falls to the ground below. He lands in a spattering mess of shattered bone and stringy, bloody muscle. A lump of a human. The cruel twist is that his hiking partner had actually left to get help as soon as he had fallen and that the man had only been stuck up there for ten hours. Not even a full day, yet panic seized him and left him in hysterics. Had he remained calm and waited, he would have been saved.
It's a terrifying concept made even more scary when you realize there was a story just like this that hit the news. Only it wasn't a man who had slipped. A woman had been out for a run through mountainous woods; she was training for an upcoming cross-country journey through uneven terrain when she sustained blunt force trauma to the head. Many suspect her running buddy to be at fault, as she was never found, and it's theorized she's still on the run. The woman had attempted to flee, but with her head injuries her senses were vastly impaired and she took too many wrong turns. Police suspect she unintentionally ran herself to the edge of a cliff. From there, the story is foggy and difficult to piece together, but it ends terribly: she was found at the very bottom days later, decomposing in thorny bushes, her body mangled and twisted and smashed beyond recognition. The pathologist noted her body was in such disrepair that it's unclear what truly killed her, whether the fall or injuries she had sustained prior to the fall.
And it isn't just this story that somewhat mirrors naoh's works (often it's a setting or a circumstance or a facet of the true crime itself incorporated. Very rarely is it about the victim). You read up on very long threads regarding naoh and their identity, and slowly you find yourself doing research of your own. You have no idea where to start, so for now you keep track of each story you hear on the news and try to match pieces of it to naoh's works in hopes of learning anything new. Unsolved cases, though plentiful and murky, are where you turn to, as well as the discussion boards online. So many people are convinced naoh is a killer. After reading a few rational theories, you're beginning to think so, too. (Though something tells you it could be coincidence, or it could be naoh taking inspiration from reality. They might not even be a murderer like some think; it might just be hateful people trying to sully their name.)
One day, while scouring naoh's social media for any clues, you get the idea to type the pen name into the search bar as if it might yield something interesting. And the first thing that pops up is: Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), known commonly as lye or caustic soda, is... You stop reading and scramble to grab naoh's first-ever work: a work in which that same chemical plays a major role in murder. NaOH is a substance that, when heated to a certain degree, can dissolve a human body into a syrupy liquid in just three hours.
And that's the pen name of a mangaka who writes and illustrates horror stories about the sordid sides of humankind. A mangaka who might just be a murderer racking up a horrifying kill count, and no one knows anything about them or where they might be in the world. Most of all, no one knows where they'll strike next and who will fall victim to a dangerous killer.
naoh is a mangaka catalouging their murders, and you're determined to prove it.

Do you read Cherik doujinshi? I'm trying to find a cherik doujinshi called 1962 by Ellen chain, i really want to read it online.
You can purchase it from her Gumroad for $2 here: https://ellenchain.gumroad.com/l/1962?layout=profile. I think there's only samples posted online since she has it for sale.

Last week was really rough due to some health issues, but I'm slowly working through them. No success on the scanner front though, so that whole thing continues to be up in the air.
This blog is where I go to post about stuff I like though, so that's what I'm going to do. Here are a few highlights from the last few days.
G-Witch Doujinshi!
Tumblr media
I was lucky enough to score a copy of the G-Witch staff book from Comiket for not-the-worst price in the world . Look at how shiny those rings are, suck shit Bandai. (Seriously though, can't wait for that book to arrive with a few other things, the G-Witch team went all out and it looks gorgeous.)
Paripri Koumei mini-album!
Tumblr media
They're really releasing an IRL "Dreamer" mini-album (per the manga) on October 25, which is giving me the energy to go on. Flower crown!!! hot chill hot!!! I cannot wait to listen to it on repeat for at least a month and thoroughly skew my Spotify Wrapped for the year.
Cheap Kageki Shojo!! R4 Blu-ray!
Tumblr media
The ungodly fusion of Madman and Crunchyroll in Australia hasn't given shoujo fans a whole lot of anything, but they did manage to release Kageki Shojo!! this time last year. I finally broke down and bought it locally because the complete blu-ray set is currently $20AU in the distributor's winter sale. So there's a pro-tip for fellow local shoujo fans who are also poor as shit.
In terms of cheap-as bargains from that sale I'd also recommend the ACCA bd set for $20AU and the Flip Flappers bd set for $23.98.
More Fujii Mihona digital releases!
Tumblr media
A new GALS!! digital anthology and another chapter of the new Ryuu-ou Mahoujin arc? Yes please! While they don't have a date yet, the promise of these releases in the coming weeks has me excited... Although I still haven't made good on my promise to re-read the OG volumes. ;o;
That's about all I can think of right now!
I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of things, but these were the highlights. If I can get on top of my pain this week I'd like to do some more reading/watching of things, but we'll see how things go. Thanks for sticking with me.

Fragaria Memories Fanwork Guidelines
This is an unofficial translation of the guidelines for Fragaria Memories fanworks/ fanart/ doujin works.
I thought I saw conflicting translations/interpretations from shared posts about the guidelines that I came across recently, so I decided to translate them myself to (hopefully) avoid misinterpreting the actual guidelines. I do not track the official site for updates so there may be future changes not reflected here.
Last updated: 2023/10/23
୨୧:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::୨୧
Definition of 'fan content activities'
'Fan content activities' refers to works based on Fragaria Memories that either contain creative additions or are wholly new creations. These guidelines exclude copying as-is or activities* that can be treated as such.
*Examples of activities not covered in the guidelines: cropping official character illustrations, filtering/recolouring official art and so on, and making such images public
(T/N: I'll just use 'fanwork' in the main text from here on)
୨୧┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈୨୧
Applicable scope for these guidelines
The moment you upload your fanwork publicly, you're assumed to have agreed to the guidelines fully. Whether a fanwork is considered to have violated the stated guidelines or not is determined at Sanrio's discretion.
Sanrio may update the content of the guidelines anytime without advance notice.
୨୧:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::୨୧
Terms of Use
Terms of use regarding fanworks
(1) Not for commercial purposes (such as advertisements, promotions, sales) regardless of whether the work is made free or paid. *However, doujinshi distribution, video monetisation, paid membership perks and livestreams are allowed subject to fulfilling certain conditions mentioned later.
(2) Do not use Fragaria Memories' assets (illustrations, logos, marks/labels, scenarios, videos, voices, music, etc.) in the creation of your fanwork. Tracing is also not allowed even if you do it yourself.
(3) Do not misrepresent yourself as being related to or having the approval of Sanrio or Fragaria Memories.
(4) Do not deviate extremely from the worldview of the series or tarnish the image of the series. Inserting certain ideas/beliefs, or content of political or religious nature in fanworks is not allowed.
(5) Do not harm the reputation or status of others, and do not slander or libel others or commit other acts beyond public order and morals.
(6) Do not use content which third parties have rights to in your fanworks, such as content from collaboration events between Sanrio and its partners.
୨୧┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈୨୧
Terms of use regarding fanwork involving monetary/paid benefits
Notwithstanding (1) above, the distribution (sales) or publishing of fanworks may be allowed to a reasonable extent for the enjoyment of fans.
♦ Sales of doujinshi
Physical/paper forms, digital forms, illustrations, manga/comics, novels, cosplay photobooks and so on must adhere to the below terms.
(1) They must be sold approximately at cost price (the cost of your materials and production tools)
(2) The below links to a QR code that you can place somewhere easily visible to viewers (to avoid issues arising from being misidentified as official goods).
Fan Contents Nijigen Code (QR Code)
♦ Monetisation on video sharing sites
Monetisation of videos containing official instrumental music for cover songs (utattemita) is limited to the below video sharing sites:
YouTube
Nico Nico Douga *Please refer to these guidelines (the guidelines on the official site) if the video sharing site asks about usage rights when you monetise your video.
♦ Fanwork in paid membership perks and livestreams
Only for non-age restricted platforms (pixivFANBOX, Fantia, YouTube Live, Nico Nico Live Broadcast [Nico Nico Namahousou], TikTok)
୨୧:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::୨୧
Regarding goods/merch
Please refrain from distributing merchandise (clothing accessories, image accessories, plushies, etc.) regardless of whether they're free or paid to avoid issues of the items being misidentified as official goods.
You may still create items for personal use, but if you're uploading them to social media, it would be appreciated if you tag them clearly as fanwork/fan content.
Even for items for personal use, please refrain from using or tracing Fragaria Memories assets (illustrations, logos, marks/labels, scenarios, videos, voices, music, etc.)
୨୧┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈୨୧
Recommended hashtags on social media
Sanrio recommends using the hashtag #Fragari_Art when you upload fanwork to social media platforms.
୨୧:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::୨୧
Miscellanous Terms & Conditions
Fan content activities by official illustrators
Official illustrators (contracted by Sanrio or its business partners) may still make fanworks.
Official illustrators have to follow both their contracts as well as the fanwork guidelines so as to avoid having their fanworks misidentified as official.
୨୧┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈୨୧
Other conditions
(1) If your fanwork is determined by Sanrio as having violated their guidelines, Sanrio can demand you to immediately cease conducting fan activities, as well as completely scrap and delete the offending fanworks.
(2) There may be times when official projects/adaptations by Sanrio and its partners overlap with or seem similar to fanworks. In such cases, Sanrio and its partners reserve the rights to conduct their projects anywhere, anytime, and in any form without consideration for payment.
(3) In the case that Sanrio or its partners contact creators to make Fragaria Memories content, it will be done with a fixed contract from Sanrio or its partners.
(4) As Sanrio continually fixes and adds new content to Fragaria Memories, there may be times when Sanrio's projects, goods or services unintentionally seem similar to your fanwork. Sanrio and its partners reserve the rights to continue with their project plans and you may not assert legal claims against them on the grounds of copyrights or moral rights.
(5) Even with these guidelines, Sanrio reserves the rights to suspend fanworks to protect their copyrights and moral rights.
(6) Sanrio makes no guarantees of non-infringement on third party rights regarding the use of Fragaria Memories by these guidelines or of Fragaria Memories itself.
(7) You may not simplify/abridge, paraphrase or distort/misinterpret these guidelines through any method when posting on any third party platforms including social media. (T/N: I hope I'm not lol)
(8) Sanrio takes no responsibility for damages or disputes with third parties resulting from fanworks made by these guidelines and will not provide compensation in such cases.
(9) As these guidelines may be updated without notice, Sanrio takes no responsibility for any issues resulting from such changes.
(10) Sanrio reserves the right to take legal actions against fanworks that violate these guidelines.
(11) Sanrio will not respond to individual inquiries on these guidelines.
(12) These guidelines were written in Japanese and follow Japanese laws.
(13) Any disputes between Sanrio and others regarding fanworks or other uses of Fragaria Memories will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court (東京地方裁判所) or Tokyo Summary Court (東京簡易裁判所) in the first instance.

*OLD POST - Click the link for UPDATE POST #1b*
I will pay up to $300 for these 3 Rockman / Megaman Doujinshi
I figured I'd make a post for 3 more doujinshi I'd like to buy that aren't currently available online. They're titled "HOTTEST! HEATEST!!," "はじめてのハジメテ," and "溶けちゃうぐらいイチャイチャしたい!!." These were all made by Caelum (漣). I'm not as desperate to obtain these compared to the 3 doujinshi that were made by あじの缶詰 (さばみそ). So, I'm only willing to pay up to $100 each ($300 in total) for these. Once again, I'm willing to purchase these from anybody who doesn't want their copy(s) anymore, or from someone who manages to find these in a second-hand doujin shop. PM / DM me if you want to negotiate. Share and/or repost this with anybody who's interested. I'll post an update whenever a successful sale has been completed.
(Edit: Successful Sale = 1)

About Printed Fanfiction
This isn’t really a rant per se, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out there since I’ve been seeing a lot of this kind of discourse on my dashboard and timelines recently while doing research into printing fanfics.
I think a lot of the negativity towards fanfiction writers who want to have a physical representation of their work, and maybe sell at a marginal cost (i.e. cost getting something printed and shipped, plus like a dollar or two extra for their efforts), is unwarranted.
Yes, AO3 is correct, people should not be monetizing their fics, and doing that so openly on a site that is the last bastion of legal defense against copyright holders is not good! (Do not mention or link to donations/payments/stores on AO3). According to copyright law, it is illegal to violate the intellectual property rights of registered works. The Fair Use defense only works if a work is transformative, and for non-commercial purposes.
But there are thousands of zines and doujinshi created by fanartists, that sell for real money! Again, most of it is for marginal costs, to cover the cost of printing and distributing, plus a little extra for the artists. Those zines/doujinshi are violating the same laws that a fanfic zine would. Those artists are making profit! Some of those fanart zines have print runs up to 1000 copies.
Yet people go out of their way to harass any fanfic writers that dare sell their works on the down-low (again, not on AO3) wanting the same thing. These are works that are selling maybe 5-20 physical copies maximum!!
I really think Japanese doujinshi culture is correct on this point. Both fanartists and fanfiction writers are selling their works in low quantities, and sites like Pixiv Factory make it really easy to set up your work for print on-demand. Obviously, if rights-holders object, it gets taken down. But guess what? There’s very few chances of them objecting, if you keep it small.
The older zine culture from back in the Star Trek slash days understood this. Some people made some money, but 99% of it was within hobby levels.
I just want the same thing! I wanna see my works in a physical form!
Tumblr media
Above is a collection of Pumpkin Scissors doujinshi, along with my own fanfic doujin at the bottom right.
Guess how many copies I sold of my doujin? Three! One of which is my own. I hardly even made enough money to cover the cost of my own copy, never mind shipping from Japan. Which is fine! I appreciated people liking it enough to order it to begin with.
Fanfic writers shouldn’t be harassed about wanting to get their doujins/zines printed. Rather than forcing readers to format the book themselves, and go through the tedious process of bookbinding each individual book, it would be better if the author could just offer the formatted file, or an actual copy, for sale. Fanbinding is super cool, but it’s too high of a bar (and cost prohibitive) for someone who just wants a nice, printed copy of their stuff.
I might follow up this post with a “How to” on getting works printed through pixiv factory. I learned a lot during my process, and would be happy to share the information.

Swamp-con - Blog Post
Tumblr media
On Saturday March 2nd, 2024, I attended Swamp-Con which is the multi-genre convention held at UF by Gator Anime club and involving the comics clubs as well as a few other clubs. It was not what I expected for my first convention, but it was still fun, nonetheless. Of course, since this convention was open to the general public as well as children, there were restrictions for what could be sold and what people could wear but I didn’t mind. I had fun in the escape room hosted by the comics clubs, but I didn’t get to attend the lectures about FNAF or Touhou. There was also a maid cafe, but I chickened out of going. Overall, I give it a good rating for being a convention.
Tumblr media
The parts I will remember the most about this convention are the cosplays I saw, and the items being sold. As you can see in the photo above (taken from the swampcon.org website), multiple people are cosplaying as characters from their favorite fictions; I see MHA, Touhou, Vocaloid and even Homestuck. I did not get to interact with these people directly, but it was fun to point them out to my friend and try to guess what fiction they are from. Cosplay is an example of enunciative productivity by fans, where fans try to speak or dress up like characters in fiction, they are fans of. I can only think of two reasons that people would cosplay (for fun) as fictional characters: to attract the attention of other fans of fiction, or to spread awareness about a fiction to people unaware of it. I imagine that the cosplay at Swamp-con was done for the former reason, because interacting with other strangers who are fans of the same fiction as you can be quite fun.
I also saw more contemporary pop-culture attractions and cosplay. I saw two men dressed up in orange jumpsuits with accessories that made them look like characters from Lethal Company, a video game that was popular during that time. The most cosplay I saw was of the people dressed like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact (I can only recognize the style and not the characters) characters. These cosplays are special in the fact that are from pop fandoms whose popularity explodes then slowly decays, unlike the other fandoms I mentioned in the earlier paragraph, which are stable. These types of fandoms are common in the postmodern era, and I see them happening all the time with video game fandoms. New video games are released constantly but if there is a quality game released, it will spike in popularity, and you will see every video game influencer playing it or talking about it. Eventually after 1-2 weeks, the influencers will complete the game or get bored of playing it and move onto another video game. It is unfortunate that this happens to newer video games, but the fandom left behind are usually close and made up of strong fans.
Tumblr media
Lastly, I would like to bring attention to the artist attractions held at Swamp-con. As you can see in the photo above, different artists attend and sell anything approved, from artwork and artbooks to trinkets and I even saw a few body pillow casings. The closest form of fan productivity these fall under is textual productivity, where fans create their own texts (or artwork, in this case) based off of fiction. Moving on to the image below, you can see the artwork and objects for sale by artist “Rad Jinja-art” at Swamp-con. We can see fan arts of characters from a wide variety of fictions to even parody artwork, like the art on the center-left side titled “Sidon” parodying the “Jaws” movie poster. The closest parallel to this in Japanese fandoms is the Doujinshi, or parody booklets sold by artists to fans of fiction.
