WWW запускает блокчейн-систему мониторинга поставок продовольствия

Всемирный фонд дикой природы в Австралии (WWF-Австралия) объявил о запуске системы управления поставками продовольствия, некоторые элементы которой используют технологию блокчейн. Новый инструмент позволит предприятиям и потребителям отслеживать продукты питания. Платформа, получившая название OpenSC, является результатом партнерства между WWF-Австралия и компанией BCG Digital Ventures (BCGDV) — международным венчурным подразделением Boston Consulting Group. Согласно сообщению на сайте WWF, система позволит компаниям отслеживать продукты, которые они производят, а потребителям — происхождение продуктов через «уникальный блокчейн-код». Платформа распределяет QR-коды между продуктами, произведенными корпорациями-партнерами инициативы. QR-коды проверяются с помощью блокчейн-платформы, позволяющей потребителям узнать происхождение и жизненный цикл каждого конкретного продукта. Цель WWF, как сообщается, заключается в том, чтобы дать потребителям подробную информацию о продукте, а также возможность целенаправленно сделать этический выбор за или против покупки данного продукта. «Благодаря OpenSC предприятия и потребители увидят новый уровень прозрачности в отношении того, способствует ли пища, которую мы едим, ухудшению состояния окружающей среды или социальной несправедливости, такой как рабство». WWF показывает принцип работы блокчейн-системы на примере поставки рыбы — патагонского клыкача. Из инфографики видно, что сперва рыбе присваивается уникальный код в том месте, где её поймали. Далее при помощи машинного обучения и GPS система проверяет, в разрешённом ли месте был пойман клыкач. П��сле разделки рыбы система присваивает новый идентификатор каждому кусочку, а потребители при покупке продукта могут проверить по QR-коду его происхождение.

По словам руководителя BCGDV Пола Хуньёра, в перспективе система может применяться не только для отслеживания продовольственных продуктов, но и для лесоматериалов и пальмового масла. Примечательно, что еще одна из австралийских компаний также тестирует блокчейн для отслеживания цепочки поставок мяса. В середине декабря одна из ведущих в Австралии компаний по страхованию автотранспорта, National Transport Insurance (NTI), объявила о старте тестирования системы оптимизации цепочек поставок говядины на экспорт.
