ed can never get sick in his life because of how he lives on a daily basis, he’s built up his immune system against every disease known to man

double d speaks both french and italian, albeit with limited vocabulary compared to english but he probably learned it because of his parents

Just saw someone say that s4 St*ncy doesn't parallel midlevn and I've been sitting on this hot take for a minute but the whole reason we got a St*ncy revival in the first place is because of the parallel.

First of all, Mike can't say ily and Nancy says nothing in response to Steve's confession. Additionally, I think we're supposed to draw parallels to Ted & Karen with both relationships. Not to mention both relationships are the "safe" option but we've been over all of that.

What we haven't been over (at least that I've seen) is that Steve has put Nancy on this pedestal and expects Nancy to have his 6 children. The SAME WAY Mike has put El on a pedestal and expects her to save the world.

And yes these are vastly different expectations but tbh I don't think it's that much of a reach to say that they're not the things Nancy & El want to do. Nancy wants to go to college in the city and have a career she thinks 6 kids is a "nightmare". El doesn't want to be a monster or a superhero she wants to be a teenage girl.

I think there's also something to be said about how both Steve & Mike are struggling with insecurity in these respective relationships. Steve is tired of "always being the babysitter" and not being able to go with Nancy to Pennhurst. And Mike says that him finding El was dumb luck and that he isn't even Lois Lane (I also think we could argue the cliche of if you don't love yourself how is anyone else supposed to love you)

Steve & Mike idolize Nancy & El they don't love them. And this is crucial, there is NOTHING healthy about a relationship where one person is on a pedestal or expected to do something they don't want to. And unless that gets EXTREMELY corrected (retconned) next season both couples are still paralleling each other.
