I actually could see a DOTC2 arc (plus it would be a logical conclusion, kinda, to have a back-to-the-origins arc to conclude the whole series, hoping it means it's the last, etc) but I dread that they would make it like DOTC1, which I don't remember all that well so take it with a pinch of salt but from what I remember it was basically 5 books of repetitive, pointless, fruitless conflict, and then in the sixth arc we were finally starting to see the clans start being more like what they would become, with the warrior code being created and such (well the rule of "don't kill if you can avoid it" at least)

I personally love dawn of the clans, despite its faults, so I’m biased here but I disagree about the first 5 books being pointless fruitless conflict. Well the first three books at least for certain, the last three books, especially book 5 is debatable just because while they’re good they overall are not as impactful as the first half (except the very last chapter of the arc that messed me up for days and still messes me up even thinking about it for long enough). Because I’ll be honest, it’s been about 2 years ish since I last read Dawn of the clans and I remember the first half so well, as for the second half I remember not nearly as much.

Despite our difference in opinion there I see for sure what you mean. Dawn of the clans is for the large part establishing and keeping territory. But it would be great to see what they do after they establish their territories, how they move forward with establishing their own cultures and the warrior code. Where is the point where they start turning away outsiders entirely despite their own origins being cats that have come from so many different backgrounds?
