Starter Call for Marie/Aislynn!

Marie or Aislynn as she is known in the game, is a Dot Hack OC whose avatar is a Shadow Warlock or Wavemaster. She loves to roleplay in character in the game so Aislynn comes off as mysterious, poetic, and lover of fortunes.

In real life she is a shy major geek, loving video games and manga/anime. She has a separate .Hack GU verse where she is the new Epitaph user of Fidchell and takes that role very seriously as it seems really cool to her.

She has this verse but can also be used for SAO, Log Horizon, or other mmo-type fandoms. I can also fit her in a fandomless setting in either her normal form as Marie or her magical witch-like form of Aislynn.

RPers Sought via Discord

I am seeking canon x canon ships for fandoms via discord. This will be a 1x1 situation. I am happy to double! For my ships, please reach out for information as many are crack/unusual. I do tend to stick to MxF romances but if we're doubling up and one pair is MxF, I'm open to adding a same-sex pair. When I double, I use a word counter to make sure posts are equal. I don't require this of my partners as long as they look similar in effort. Should favoritism begin to appear, I'll express concerns but if it happens often, I'm going to end the RP.

My posts tend to be several paragraphs (I guess the term might be novella or advanced literate) in third person, past tense. When on Discord, it's not unusual to take a few messages to complete my post but I do indicate with a (c or cont) if it's continued and end with an (end) to indicate that it's all complete. Due to post sizes being lengthy, I tend to give about 2-3 posts a week. Often more but I would say that's a pace I'm happy with getting from a partner. We all have lives. I'm not going to hound anyone to post unless it's been like, a month. People get busy or bored. It happens. That said, I love a lively OOC where we get to know one another and converse freely even if posts come at a slower pace. I'd rather hear about disinterest and work to fix it, than have resentment or complacency build behind the scenes.

NSFW stuff is bound to happen within moderation and with proper development. My RPs are very gradual, slow burn. I'm in this for the long haul and I expect my partner to be as well. Communication ensures longevity and interest.

Got an abortion bc I'd rather die than have my abuser's baby lmao

Good evening. I apologize for any errors in this post, haven’t used tumblr in a while.

Hope you are well.

I am looking to partake in some 1x1 RPs via discord for several fandoms. Generally I prefer canon x canon pairings and while I do enjoy playing both genders, I don’t like to play males for women writers who refuse to double since I feel like I see too many writers only writing their personal gender and I think it hinders our story if I’m the only person capable of side or other main roles.

I do prefer M x F pairs.

I also tend to give 3-6 paragraphs per main role I write as, in third person past tense.

Generally I try to get 2-3 posts out a week so if you’re after a rapid-fire writer, we may not be suited for each other. I am almost 30 and have a lot of things on my plate so I would prefer my partner be in a similar place in life where they aren’t in front of their laptop all the time.

That said, I do love to chat OOC and prefer to get to know my partners on a personal level. I am happy to be someone who you vent to or share silly memes with. If you prefer to keep things more professional, that’s okay and I respect that provided you can still be plot and be approached with discussions relating to our story.

Mature content is something I don’t shy away from, however it shouldn’t be the center of our story.

Revelry In The Dark

Inaba... Normally a quiet, sleepy town in the heart of Japan that used to be picturesque. Now it attracted filth from Okina, Sapporo and god knows where else. The police did nothing, as a child back when his innocence hadn’t been stripped away with the roughness of sandpaper, he believed in justice. He used to think the police were heroes of justice, saving people... He was such a little fool back then, now they were worse than the criminals. The new ones went on mad power trips, arresting you for anything or nothing at all to get off on the fact that you obeyed them. The older ones took bribes like the addicts they got them from took meth. Little baggies with shards of blue crystal littered the streets and the deals were as open as day. There stood his father, not yet at the top. Not yet strong enough to give Inaba Police Department the purge it needed, perhaps he’d never get there. With each passing day he saw more of his father be worn away in the tide like a bar of soap. “I’m home.” Yuichirou called out wearily, Saburo serving him dinner on the dot. Asaka was busy with Jin so he cared for the house and did a damn good job of it too. “Welcome back. I’ve got you a beer.” He explained. The tired, middle-aged man gave a smile of silent thanks before opening it, alcohol the only comfort left after being surrounded by what the man considered filth. Saburo soon learned to seek his own justice in vigilante black hat hacking. Fucking over the drug dealers and scammers and using their money to fund himself, ensure he could get a good education and escape this decaying dystopia, hopefully with his father in tow. He’d attracted unknown attention as he walked out of the bookstore, bag laden with manga as he waited under a shop’s awnings. “This town... is rotting.” The hacker sighed, looking tired and not paying attention.

It will be an original 18+ Medieval Fantasy RP forum focused around a civilisation that heavily relies on magic in their day-to-day lives. Player-made species based on Folklore

SPECIES Players will be able to draw inspiration from a variety of folklores - such as Japanese, Greek, and Celtic - when creating their characters. One can even make up their own species. We just ask that players refrain from evangelical (e.g angels) or undead (e.g. vampires) species to try and contain it somewhat. SOULHOUNDS Regardless of a character’s species. all player-characters are a type of “Soulhound.” Soulhounds are sentient beings attuned to the elements (e.g. water). What type of magic and/or abilities an individual can use depends on the type of Soulhound they are. The four types of Soulhounds are as follows:

SUNDOG This is the Tank or DPS type of Soulhound. Their magics/abilities are offence, defence, and/or DoT (damage over time) orientated.

MOONDOG This is the Healer or Support type of Soulhound. Their magics/abilities are curative or passive (including HoT [heal over time] or illusions and the like].

ECLIPSE This is the “adaptive” Soulhound and are very rare; it can switch between “sundog” and “moondog” stances.

TERMINATOR This is the “bogeyman” of the Soulhounds, and is very rare. Unlike the other three, they can’t use magic - they can only negate magic. They can, however, use familiars.

ELEMENTS There are several elements: AQUA, IGNIS, VENTUS, TERRAM, ASTROLOGIA, NEUTRUM, OMNI. Each character may have up to two elements: one that they’re born with, and one that they acquire through their life’s experiences. While these elements dictate what sort of magic or ability your character may use, they are flexible provided they fit within the element. For example: Aqua is both ice and water, but you don’t have to go for outright water; you can go for something like blood instead. SOULNAMES & GIVEN NAMES Characters are born with a “soulname” that are used in place of a given or surname. Soulnames are a word that describe their soul, like “Vigil” if a person’s core characteristic is to be vigilant. INNATE ABILITIES The Soulname gives an individual an ability that’s relative to their Soulname -an ability they’re born with. For example, the name Vigil means to watch. Maybe Vigil’s innate ability is to see in the dark without aid of a light source, or perhaps their sight is generally better than most and can see long distances without the aid of a scope. FACTIONS There will be four main factions: Armoury, Drug, Info, and Force. Each have their own purpose, and each have their own main villages. Armoury has craftsmen. Drug has alchemists. Info has scholars. Force has militants. SUB-FACTIONS are player-made divisions that exist within one of the four aforementioned factions. A player-made tribe of warriors would be under Force, for example. ADVENTURES & QUESTS While our main RP hub is in the Northern Territory (and everyone needs to be located there so we don’t stretch too thinly location-wise), there are three other locations across the continent in which players may go out and explore of their own volition. Every once in a while, they may find some relics of the past, and/or ye olde lore tidbits. DEITIES At some point, there will be playable “false deities,” one for each element. A player may only have one. I’m thinking we may unlock one or two at a time as the main plot unfurls.

QUESTIONS Here are some questions others have asked:

Q: Will this be a statless, stat-heavy, or stat-light RP? A: Tentatively stat-light. You’ll have points to distribute into attributes, but there’ll be no math, dice rolling, or RNG. It’s more for a quick visual reference like, “okay, my character is much faster than theirs; however, their character is much more durable than mine.”

Q: Will there be any sort of stat progression, or just a set sheet with all stats from day 1? A: There’ll be stats progression along with level progression. We’ll have 7-8 levels and each level will be allotted X amount of points to distribute. Levelling will be optional for those who want to keep their characters at a low level.
