Alejandro y Hefestión en San Francisco.

Leyes, Leyes, Leyes. No somos demonios.

Thinking abt dean being protective and possessive of sam’s tits. ready to kill other men if they dare to look at sam’s chest. especially when sam’s pregnant and his tits get even bigger which draws a lot of attention from men.
Makes Sam wear oversized shirts, jackets, coats, etc. to keep his breast contained so no one else can see them. Much like the mythical lands of Shangri-La or El Dorado no one else has seen or heard of them… only Dean and he’s not sharing their whereabouts.

El Dorado (1966)
Pulp science fiction writer Leigh Brackett was an anomaly in the genre. Not only was she a woman, but she also crossed over into Hollywood sporadically. Alongside her novellas and serialized stories, her film credits are enviable: The Big Sleep (1946; okay, this film’s story never made sense, but its romantic dialogue is legendary), Rio Bravo (1959), and, posthumously, The Empire Strikes Back (1980). To Brackett, she deemed her script to 1966’s El Dorado, a loose adaptation of Harry Brown’s novel The Stars in Their Courses, as “the best script [she] had done in [her] life.” High praise for oneself, especially as one could easily interpret El Dorado as a lighter, slightly more comic version of Rio Bravo. El Dorado was Brackett’s fourth of five collaborations with director Howard Hawks (1938’s Bringing Up Baby; the four other Brackett-Hawks collaborations include The Big Sleep, 1948’s Red River, Rio Bravo, and 1970’s Rio Lobo). Brackett’s inventiveness and spiky dialogue makes even the more clichéd elements of the story more entertaining than they should be. Other than Hawks and the ensemble cast, it is Brackett who is most responsible for the film’s success.
Somewhere in the American West, cowboy Cole Thornton (John Wayne) rides into the town of El Dorado for a job offer from local landowner Bart Jason (Ed Asner). His longtime friend, Sheriff J.P. Harrah (Robert Mitchum) meets with him, quickly deduces the reason for Cole’s presence in town, and effortlessly persuades his friend to turn down the job (the mutual respect for each other – between the characters and between Mitchum and Wayne – is apparent from the moment they meet). Jason’s job for to Thornton included coercing, gently or otherwise, the MacDonald family to abandon their land and water rights. The MacDonalds are an honest family, Harrah says, and they have been the target of regular harassment from Bart Jason and his men. Over the rest of the film, Harrah, Thornton, elderly deputy Bull Harris (Arthur Hunnicutt), a youthful gunslinger named Mississippi (James Caan), and Dr. Miller (Paul Fix) find themselves further embroiled in Jason’s repeated attempts to violently force the MacDonalds out.
El Dorado’s large supporting cast also includes saloon owner Maudie (Charlene Holt, whose character has a hankering for Thornton); R.G. Armstrong, Christopher George, Johnny Crawford, and Adam Roarke as the MacDonald boys; and Michele Carey as the hot-tempered Josephine “Joey” MacDonald (Carey and Holt play two of the final examples of the “Hawksian woman”).
Comparisons to Rio Bravo are all but inevitable to cinephiles and fans of American Westerns. Where Rio Bravo is more of a movie where friends revel in each other’s’ vibes, El Dorado is squarely a story of aging cowboys whose foibles – Harrah’s alcoholism to drown his self-pity, Thornton’s first act spinal injury and free-roaming ways – may spell the difference between local tragedy and justice. Despite what she might say, Brackett’s script to Rio Bravo (co-written by Jules Furthman) is far tighter than El Dorado’s, which employs a momentum-killing six-month time skip just as its dramatic interest begins to pique (editor John Woodcock does not provide any assistance here). It takes just a tad too much time for El Dorado, which uses the time skip to introduce Mississippi and sideline Harrah due to his heavy drinking, to regain the dramatic interest it established in the opening third of the movie.
Both casts of Rio Bravo and El Dorado have advantages over the other. Rio Bravo boasts Walter Brennan and Ward Bond in supporting roles (yet I’ve never been too fond of Dean Martin’s performance). El Dorado has Mitchum (whose dynamic with Wayne is fantastic), Caan (miles better than a Ricky Nelson sticking out like a rock 'n' roll kid from the 1950s), and not enough Asner. The two films, to me, are similar in quality, and I vacillate between which is “better” (but, on a rewatch, I think I might prefer El Dorado)*.
The interplay between John Wayne and Robert Mitchum lies at the heart of El Dorado. In 2024, it remains fashionable to lambaste Wayne for not being able to act and “playing himself” – an accusation that has been around for decades. With more lightly comedic material than usual (I would not consider El Dorado a comedy, but there are good-hearted ribbings and wry situational observances that prevent this from being a pure dramatic Western), Wayne revives some of the comic timing from The Quiet Man (1952) to decent effect here, especially around Mitchum and Caan. But most compellingly, Howard Hawks directs Wayne in a way that acknowledges and plays against his on-screen persona as the accomplished Western hero. Thornton’s spinal injury in the film’s opening act sees him reckon with his mortality – in jest and in seriousness. Wayne’s delivery and his physical acting is striking to longtime viewers such as yours truly, as it is one of the first films in which Wayne must come to terms with aging and his growing fallibility, as well as his reputation for outgunning and outthinking his opponents. The seeds of what would be Wayne’s late career signature performances in The Cowboys (1972) and The Shootist (1976) begin to show themselves here.
Mitchum, perpetually sleepy-eyed and always my first choice to play a slovenly protagonist good with a revolver, is wonderful here as a sheriff with the romantic maturity of a teenager who unaccustomed to rejection. The duality of Mitchum’s Sheriff Harrah here – the fastest gun for miles around determined to uphold the law and the inebriated slob who retains a sense of humor that makes self-pitying and self-deprecation indistinguishable – is difficult to pull off, but Mitchum does exactly that. Mitchum and Wayne’s historical on-screen personas are not polar opposites, but there is nevertheless little overlap between the two aside for their marksmanship. In their only screen appearance together (the two both co-starred on 1962’s The Longest Day, but their scenes were filmed separately), it seems the two have known each other for ages. The subtle glances, the knowing facial expressions, and gentlemanly warmth in conversation bely the fact that this is their first film together. But for El Dorado, their rapport benefits the film magnificently.
Like his good friend Ernest Hemingway, Howard Hawks admired masculine competence, professionalism, and self-reliance. El Dorado rambles a little bit about duty, honor, and loyalty, but all of this surrounds the central tenants of male friendship found here and in Rio Bravo. It is the development of that friendship and simultaneous professional excellence, rather than any plot details, that concerns Hawks – and this is the frame through which he wants viewers to see this film. By his own self admission, Hawks stated that he was, “much more interested in the story of a friendship between two men” than anything else in El Dorado (including fidelity to the original novel). The range war between Jason and the MacDonald family lacks as much exposition as some might expect. Hawks and Brackett refuse to fully explain how the dispute started, as well as what the conflict has wrought during the film’s time skip.
Those who are not as competent or professional – in this film’s case, James Caan’s character of Mississippi – are simply comic relief until they can prove otherwise. For those aware of Hawks’ aversion to Fred Zinnemann’s High Noon (1952) – in which Gary Cooper’s Sheriff Will Kane spends almost ninety minutes going around town asking for help when he learns a few recently-released convicts are coming to murder him (Hawks, to my consternation, considered this cowardly and a disgrace to the Western genre) – El Dorado is yet another reaction against it.
Unlike Hemingway, Hawks (who was by no means a feminist) rejects Hemingway’s reductionist portrayals of women as “Dark” (submissive lovers) or “Light” (castrating man-killers). The female protagonists in Hawks’ films, too, demonstrate tremendous ability. The saloon keeper, Maudie, is perhaps the most keenly observant individual in the entire picture, and can pick out the psychology of a person whether she has known them for ages (such as our leads) or if they have just stumbled in for a drink. She may be the smartest person in town. Her fellow Hawksian Woman is the wild-haired Joey MacDonald (her hair feels at times like an anachronism airlifted from the 1960s, rather than a likelihood of the Old West), quick on a gun and with a quicker temper. There is not nearly enough attention on either character as previous Hawksian Women (nevertheless, we need to recall what Hawks wanted to concentrate on most here, and that’s male friendship), but what there is still improves El Dorado’s watchability aside from our two leads.
youtube
A worthy score from composer Nelson Riddle (1960’s Ocean’s 11, 1962’s Lolita) dials back the main theme more than one might expect from a midcentury Western, but it is still effective music for this film. Riddle is best known as an arranger and orchestrator for the likes of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Linda Ronstadt, not a composer. Nevertheless, arrangers and orchestrators can learn composition through osmosis if they have not already been trained in music composition. Riddle’s liberal use of harmonica perfectly captures the setting, although his use of electric guitar/bass and discernible lack of harmonic identity (especially in the strings) feels too much like television scoring from this era – Riddle was the principal composer for the 1960s Batman television series starring Adam West. Instead, the score highlights revolve around uses of the main title song and its variations.
And what about that title song? Sung by George Alexander and the Mellomen, with lyrics by John Gabriel (Dr. Seneca Beaulac on ABC’s soap opera Ryan’s Hope), “El Dorado” fits the film perfectly, and Alexander’s rich baritone musically exemplifies the masculine themes of El Dorado. Strings double underneath the vocals, with the occasional woodwind and brass section and peaking out from the melodic doubling (again, one wishes for more harmonic interest here aside from doubling the melody). A snippet of the song’s lyrics reference to Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “Eldorado”; the poem itself is recited by Mississippi. “El Dorado” is nothing but an earworm, and I just wish it (and its variations) made more appearances in the film itself.
Though Rio Bravo had elements of a changing of the guard, El Dorado cannot help but feel, by its conclusion, as a generational marker, a near-last hurrah – intentionally or otherwise. This is not, like The Wild Bunch (1969) or Unforgiven (1992), a eulogy of the Old American West. In 1966, El Dorado came at a time when the great figures of Old Hollywood and the height of the American Western’s popularity (Wayne and Mitchum) were no longer the dominant forces in American cinema. The film’s title song even opens with oil paintings from Western artist Olaf Weighorst, of evocatively overcast vistas of the West, as if in reflection.
El Dorado would be Leigh Brackett and Howard Hawks’ penultimate collaboration and penultimate Western, with Rio Lobo a few years away. Their professional partnership, so unlikely given Hawks’ status in Hollywood and Brackett’s supposedly disreputable day job as a pulp science fiction writer, is maybe one of the most underrated and undermentioned in Old Hollywood history – one that spanned the height of Golden Age Hollywood to its final years. For El Dorado, Brackett, despite a few structural missteps, once again shows her gifts for dialogue and a keen understanding of Hawks’ directorial intentions. Hawks arguably improves upon his depiction of male camaraderie from Rio Bravo, allowing our protagonists to intuit their aging (some might say obsolescence). This is a sterling Western, if slightly out of time.
My rating: 8.5/10
^ Based on my personal imdb rating. My interpretation of that ratings system can be found in the “Ratings system” page on my blog. Half-points are always rounded down.
* As of this write-up’s publication, I have not seen Rio Lobo (1970), which forms an unofficial trilogy of Westerns with Rio Bravo and El Dorado.

Could you do Professor Jake Wilson x MC?
No smut or anything, I just wanna see a cute things.
Hey hi 👋🏻 here we are
The crew helped me with class choices for everyone 🤪
Professor of Love
Jake couldn’t take his eyes off her, even knowing he shouldn’t have let them stay there to begin with, especially when so many people could catch him staring. His gaze was soft, watching as she helped another student understand assignments that had seemed to go over their heads. Her raven hair hung over one shoulder like a curtain of silk, hazel eyes skimming the papers laid out on the desk. Even if he managed to tear his gaze away before she looked up, she somehow always knew. She never hid the smirk that twisted her lips when she would glance up at him, “Professor Wilson, don’t be getting too distracted. You need to grade your exams.”
He wanted to hate how easily she could see through him.
He wanted to hate it more when she would catch snippets of what the coeds would say about him and bring it up with that mischievous glimmer in her eye, while still somehow maintaining her innocent expression at the words.
As she had passed him to sit down at his table at the uni café, “If it isn’t our resident Eros.” That one was because they’d been referring to him as the uni’s personal Greek god of love, reciting romantic poems to his students far more often than tragedies.
She had come up to him, right as his office hours closed for the day, watching the students scurry away, “You know they wonder if you, uh, do house calls for your office hours, right?”
She had sat on the couch in his office, legs curling up under her as her fingers dragged through her hair, a salacious grin appearing in her face, “Did you know they say you have hot, single dad energy? I can see it.”
That one annoyed him the most.
Because if his students bothered to look past his chiseled jaw, his beefy arms, his strong chest- they would see his hands. And if they stopped thirsting over his hands for two minutes, they might realize what was always wrapped around his finger.
His ring.
Though, he supposed, he couldn’t blame the students entirely. Most of the faculty seemed to have trouble registering it at times.
Their head of the psych department had tried to set him up- and it took a very stern argument for Rohan to back down.
Tim, as the head of Spanish History, had very persistently offered to teach him the ways they had courted in centuries gone past.
Talia tried to analyze music choices for him, with her degree in theory, to find songs that showed he was looking for love.
He couldn’t tell if Youcef’s philosophy degree meant he could see what they couldn’t, that he had figured it out, or if it just kept him from asking the questions.
But she was the one that loved to tease him the most, Dean of Students, Doctor Avelina Morano.
“These bloody prats,” Tim groaned, rubbing his head as he sat in his office, “First question on the exam- who did the Spanish king finance for a sailing trip that was meant to profit his rule?”
“It’s Columbus, innit?” Rohan quirked a brow, tossing Tim’s rubber band ball across the space to Jake.
“They put the blokes from Road to El Dorado.” He sighed, finally tossing the papers down, “Alright, I need a cleanser-“
“It was the first exam of the semester,” Jake missed aiming his toss of the ball as Avelina’s voice sounded from the doorway, Rohan wincing as it connected with his temple, but she remained unphased, “Do I need to start auditing your classes again?”
Tim groaned, running a palm down his face, “Swear, doc, I’ve taught it to ‘em.”
She finally shook her head, letting herself laugh, “Don’t stress, Timmy. It’s one exam, they’ll get better. Every year this happens, and every year they get better. Probably doesn’t help that Thabi used that movie for the first assignment on themes in her film theory class.”
Jake chuckled, “Thought she agreed to hold off on it this semester and do a classic.”
Avelina shrugged, “Who knows? But I’m here for another reason- Jake, you have someone waiting outside your office.” He cringed, the last time someone had been waiting outside of his scheduled office hours they hadn’t been… very well clothed. She read his hesitation, “It’s Juliet.”
“Oooh,” Rohan called out, “What did you do to get the head of HR coming for a personal visit?”
He sighed, choosing to look towards Avenlina, “It could be anyone’s guess what she needs to speak about.”
He thought, for some reason, that she’d take his side, but she smirked, “Sounds like there are a lot of things you did.”
“Ha ha,” he commented dryly, waving to the boys before following her into the corridor, “You don’t know what this is about?”
“With Juliet?” She grimaced, “Could be anything. Swear I would fire her nosey arse in a second if I could find a qualified replacement. Why did Elladine have to retire to stay home with the kids?”
Jake chuckled again as they made it to his office, the poised woman standing inside the open door as she checked her nails, “Professor Wilson, finally.”
“Apologies, Miss Thompson, but we didn’t have a scheduled appointment.”
“No, silly me for thinking you’d be doing your own work and not goofing off with your mates.” Juliet rolled her eyes, not seeing Avelina’s glare.
“Juliet, being in HR does not give you the right to make insulting comments to my staff.” The woman foolishly always believed the Dean’s temper was all bark and no bite, waving her off.
“Yes, yes,” Juliet sighed, clearly already exasperated with the conversation, “I’ll be frank and to the point, I’m getting complaints from parents again. They’re concerned about a single man that looks as Jake does working with their impressionable children.”
“These ‘children’ are adults,” Avelina countered, “And Jake isn’t single. Maybe if you cracked open his file instead of cracking on with the head of my cosmetology department you’d know that.”
Juliet’s cheeks flushed, but she glared all the same, “His file says nothing about a wife- you are listed as his emergency contact.”
Jake coughed to cover a laugh, amusement in his eyes, “Did you ever look at the ‘relationship’ part of that information?”
“Why would I?” Juliet scoffed, “I know who she is-“
“Clearly you don’t.” Avelina snapped, holding up her hand as Jake held up his, their matching rings glistening in the fluorescent lighting of the office, “Are we done here?”
“You can’t be married!” Juliet huffed, “It’s against policy!”
“Against the policy you enacted,” Jake nodded, “But we didn’t feel the need to get divorced to comply with your new regulations.”
Stomping her heels out of the office, the couple watched her leave, “Looks like I need to find that qualified candidate now.”
“Looks like it.” Jake smiled, “Guess the cats out of the bag now.”
“I give it three hours before she spreads the news around campus.”
“Three? That’s generous, my love.” He fished his phone out, already blowing up with texts from most of the department heads, “I think it’ll take twenty minutes.”
They laughed as she finally wrapped her arms around his waist, in front of the open door, “Oh well, guess everyone needs to accept that you’ve been off the market.”
“Professor Wilson-“ they turned to see a sorority girl, face flushed in embarrassment as she tried to tug her minuscule skirt to cover her legs, giving up in favor of zipping her jacket to cover her chest where it practically spilled from her top.
Avelina laughed to herself, pulling her arms back as she gave Jake a smirk, “You are needed, Professor. Just don’t forget, you’re only allowed to make house calls with me.”
The girl sputtered uselessly as she watched the Dean walk away, cackling, and Jake was left red in the face and chuckling.
His wife could be petty, and she was a tease, but she was his.

Happy STS! 💕
Sorry for the late ask, I've actually been writing all day and I genuinely thought it was still Friday until I checked my inbox!!
If you could have one of your own characters meet another fictional character of a writer of your choice (this can include mutuals!), who would you choose and how do you imagine their interaction would go?
Hello! Thank you so much for the Ask!
I am terribly sorry for the very late answer, I have been catching up on a lot of my writing in the last few days, as it is a local holiday here in my country, and only now was I able to answer your ask, as I wanted to answer it properly.
It is a very interesting question!
I will choose some of my favorite characters from my favorite books and movies that I think my own characters would love to meet in person, but I might mention some of my mutual's characters too.
RAELEN ASHIREN: I think that Raelen would love to meet Arya Stark (Game of Thrones), Hiccup Haddock (How to Train Your Dragon), Toph Beifong (Avatar The Last Airbender), Alucard (Castlevania), Merida (Brave), Sam Winchester (Supernatural), Esmeralda (The Hunchback Of Notre Dame) and Tulio (Road to El Dorado)
AZRA MOORSWORTH: I think that Azra would love to meet, and would likely become good friends with: Lo'ak (Avatar 2: The Way of Water), Richard Grayson/Nightwing (Titans from DC Comics), Kili (The Hobbit), Jim Hawkings (Treasure Planet) and Apollo (The Trials of Apollo). Another character that I think reminds me of him is Palem from one of my Mutual's works (head to @lassiesandiego to check this character out!).
JULYAN ASHIREN: I think that Julyan would love to meet Dean Winchester (Supernatural), Hector (Castlevania), Prince Caspian (Chronicles of Narnia), Mako (Legend of Korra), Robb Stark (Game of Thrones), Runaan (The Dragon Prince), Shiro (Voltron: Legendary Defender) and Violet (Arcane).
BRYN SEPERI: In my opinion, Bryn would like to meet (even if that interaction would probably end with someone getting stabbed): Kaz Brekker (Shadow and Bone), Theon Greyjoy (Game of Thrones), Trevor Belmont (Castlevania), Murtagh (Eragon: The Inheritance Cycle), Nico Di Angelo (Percy Jackson Books), Nanashi (Sword of The Stranger), Morgana Pendragon (Merlin) and Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher).
NYX FAESTORM: I think Nyx would like to meet Legolas (Lord of The Rings), Jaskier (The Witcher), Vax'ildan (Legend of Vox Machina), Jesper Fahey (Shadow and Bone), Vignette (Carnival Row), Julian Devorak (The Arcana), and Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)
VALLERIUS ZYNDROSAR: Vall would definitely like to meet and talk to characters like: Edmund Pevensie (Chronicles of Narnia), Jayce Tallis (Arcane), Aleksander Morosova/The Darkling (Shadow and Bone), Will Turner (Pirates of The Caribbean), Callum (The Dragon Prince), James Kirk (Star Trek), and Enjolras (Les Miserables).
TANWIN LYRANDETH: I think the characters he would like to meet would be Lotor (Voltron), Bucky Barnes (Captain America: Winter Soldier), Tauriel (The Hobbit), Loki (Thor and Avenger Movies), Tim Drake (DC Comics), and Odysseus (Epic The Musical and the original Odyssey).
(and last but not least for this ask)
ELLINOR DALLANTES: She would like to meet Ciri (The Wicher), King Ezran (The Dragon Prince), Fa Mulan (Mulan), Percy De Rolo (Legend of Vox Machina), Susan Pevensie (Chronicles of Narnia), Jaqen H'ghar (Game of Thrones), Elizabeth Swann (Pirates of The Caribbean), and, Lancelot (King Arthur, especially the 2004 movie) Leia Organa (Star Wars).
I choose these characters because I think that their personalities would match enough for them to have an interesting interaction, as they could discuss similar worldviews and struggles, though they would quite possibly generate far too much chaos together lol.

Ricky Nelson and Angie Dickinson in Rio Bravo (Howard Hawks, 1959)
Cast: John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan, Ward Bond, John Russell, Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez, Estelita Rodriguez, Claude Akins, Malcolm Atterbury, Harry Carey Jr. Screenplay: Jules Furthman, Leigh Brackett, based on a story by B.H. McCampbell. Cinematography: Russell Harlan. Art direction: Leo K. Kuter. Film editing: Folmar Blangsted. Music: Dimitri Tiomkin.
I could never countenance plagiarism, but as they say, if you're going to steal, steal from the best. Even if you're Howard Hawks stealing from Howard Hawks, which happens almost shamelessly in Rio Bravo. No one who loves Hawks's Red River (1948) as much as I do could fail to miss how much of Rio Bravo is, let us say, borrowed from that film. There's the byplay between Sheriff John T. Chance (John Wayne) and Stumpy (Walter Brennan), which echoes that of Dunson (Wayne) and Groot (Brennan) in Red River. Ricky Nelson's young gun Colorado Ryan is a reworking of Montgomery Clift's Matthew Garth. And Angie Dickinson's Feathers could almost be a parody of Joanne Dru's motormouth Tess Millay. But the Hawksian borrowings don't stop with Red River. When Feathers kisses Chance for the first time and then goes in for a second kiss in which he participates more enthusiastically, she comments, "It's better when two people do it," which is a direct steal from a similar scene in To Have and Have Not (Hawks, 1944) when "Slim" (Lauren Bacall) tells "Steve" (Humphrey Bogart), "It's even better when you help." The two movies share not only a director but also a screenwriter, Jules Furthman, who is joined in Rio Bravo by Leigh Brackett, who earlier worked together on another Bogart-Bacall-Hawks movie, The Big Sleep (1946). Even the composer of the score for Rio Bravo, Dimitri Tiomkin, gets into the borrowing game, taking a theme from his score for Red River and handing it over to lyricist Paul Francis Webster for the song, "My Rifle, My Pony, and Me," sung by Dean Martin's Dude and Nelson's Colorado. Rio Bravo maybe isn't as great a movie as Red River, and it probably signals some creative exhaustion on Hawks's part that he not only borrowed so heavily from his earlier work but also felt it necessary to remake Rio Bravo in two thinly disguised versions, also starring Wayne, as El Dorado (1966) and Rio Lobo (1970). But is there a more entertaining self-plagiarism, and a surer demonstration of what made Hawks one of the great filmmakers?

Note
you should tell us what kind of songs you like so we can hear them and think of you!
Oh man, that is a rather tricky thing to do, hahaha. My comfort artists are Imagine Dragons (I've been listening to them since they started all that time ago—not one song they don't have, I don't know about. My favorite albums are Night Visions and Smoke and Mirrors. Both bring me comfort and yet make me sad with nostalgia) and David Bowie. Recently, Wallows has become an artist I have come to love because the feeling their music gives me is a sort of melancholic coziness/nostalgia. I literally cannot get enough of their stuff. You also cannot go wrong with Depeche Mode, but it's hard to choose a fav of theirs. As for Queen, tho, my favorite song of theirs is 'Killer Queen' and 'Good Ol' Fashion Lover Boy.' Hell, even Nickleback is a good choice (Yes, I listen to them and have since I was young. I love them and wish to see them live, but all their shows are in Canada at the moment) As for actual songs, some of my favs (since there are too many and I am on the spot, so aaa) are: -As the World Falls Down -David Bowie (I am weak for this song. You have NO idea how bad it is. If you need a song to associate with me, it is this one) -Leon's Theme -from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (Literally ANY Castlevania tune will be repeated, especially if it's from SOTN. Castlevania is my LIFE fr)-Merry Go Round of Life -Joe Hisaishi -These Days -Wallows -Sidelines -Wallows -Witch Image -Ghost -Rats -Ghost -Dense Macabre -Ghost -Round and Round -Imagine Dragons (Or really any song off the Delux Edition of Night Visions) -Good Grief -Bastille -Surfin' USA -Beach Boys -California Dreamin' -The Mamas and the Papas -Tough to be a God -El Dorado and the cover by Johnathan Young I also have a playlist of songs that make me cry from love because they make me think of my dad/found fam, which includes: -I'm Happy -Imagine Dragons -Deus in Absentia -Ghost -Instant Sunshine -Luke Million and LAU -Family -Mother Mother -You're My best friend -Queen -Friends -Band of Skulls Lately, my earworm has been Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go and Bad Medicine cuz UGHA so fucking good. Though TBF, my music taste is ALL over the place. I love listening to music from the 50s to the early/mid-2000s and sometimes video game music/scores, though I mainly enjoy 80s music. I love the rock there and all the yummy synth sounds they have, which is no surprise if you have seen my blog aesthetic or even my art over at @wonderlandjester (Sounds such as the sounds in We Built This City by Starships). But you can't ever go wrong with someone like Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, Beach Boys, or even Dean Martin. (Which fun fact: the only thing to get me to stop fussing as a baby was Dean Martin's 'That's Amore' hehe) So yes, if you care, dearest anon, if you want to know my genre(s), mainly rock and all its subcategories: classic, Indie, Pop, and Punk. Because let's face it, punk rock is everything, hahaha. And Synth/Electronic. I eat that shit UPPP and keep a synth playlist saved on Spotify for a reason yahahaha. Sorry if I rambled, but I just enjoy music so much, and it's nice to share words about the kinds I like, even if I am a bit anxious to share them irl with people. DMS are open if you ever want me to share some songs, too!

Ambos miraron a Cas.
Todavía me gusta.
—Y yo a ti —respondió Castiel—.
—No, gracias —dijo Jo cortésmente.
—Apestas a Loki.
Jo se encogió de hombros.
—¿Bueno?¿Y?
La mujer se irguió.
—Fui su amante durante siglos.
Bueno, eso llamó su atención.
—Oh.
—No.
—Bien.
—Correcto —dijo Isis lentamente—.
—Has roto nuestro trato —dijo simplemente el verdadero Loki.
Gabriel sonrió.
—Maldita sea.
—Tu vas a pagar-
Lucifer movió su muñeca y Loki salió volando.
—Nadie amenaza a mi hermano, excepto yo.
Castiel asintió y miró a Lucifer. Él devolvió el asentimiento.
—Ve.
—¿Padre? —gritó ella, saltando y acercándose a él—. Tú... ¿Tienes a Sam Winchester?

GADDAFI
Most libyans lived in an impoverished state. Their ruler pro west King Idris The First was a highly corrupt man. An army officer aged 27 Muammar Gaddafi, while the ruler was away for treatment at Turkey, staged a coup detat which didn't suffer much resistance (Operation Jerusalem). He built many schools, hospitals, infrastructure with the oil money flowing in the country.
Gaddafi's ideological father figure was Gamal Abdul Nasser. On Nasser's death, he saw it as an opportunity to take over. The Palestinian group responsible for 1972 Munich Olympic killings was Black September which was funded by Gaddafi. The terrorist bodies were brought by flights to Libya and the terrorists later freed were also brought to Libya to demonstrate Gaddafi's power.
Gaddafi funded Nelson Mandela because he knew that with the size of his population (6M), he could hardly have a say in geopolitics. Gaddafi funded many terrorist and rebel groups like IRA(Irish Republican Army), various groups in Germany, Italy.
He writes a book which was introduced in schools. Gaddafi declares himself a brother leader not a head of state. He had a vast police network so nobody dared say or goagainst him. He orders execution of a person in front of a whole crowd including bunch on 6 yo's. Gaddafi made sure that his assassinations were done in public.
The US navy in 1986 was performing naval training in Mediterranean Sea as they had before . Gaddafi threatened the Us but Us retaliated saying it was training on international waters. Libya fired 6 missiles. America destroyed 3 Libyan petrol carriers and 1 missile installation.
A bomb explodes in The American place, a club in Germany, where Us soldiers used to hang out. 2 serviceman killed. Gaddafi's house is flattened. Gaddafi escapes unharmed but he claims his adopted daughter wasn't so lucky (Operation el dorado). Earned sympathy.
A passengers plane is blown up which crashes in Scotland and caused 270 deaths. 4 years later, investigation revealed 2 libyan agents planted the bomb. Oil sanctions were imposed on Libya. Gaddafi's former foreign minister who had turned against him was now kidnapped by his men. He keeps him in his freezer.
Gaddafi invented more ludicrous titles for him such as Imam of all Muslims, Dean of Arab Rulers, King of African Rulers. His attention seeking tendency made him wear absurd flamboyant clothes. His billboards were everywhere. He set up a guard made up entirely of women called Amazonian Guards (Revolutionary Nuns)which had several beauty standards to be eligible. These women to became a part of his harem. Wives and daughters of various critics of Gaddafi were picked up and violated to humiliate them.
Gaddafi condemned 9/11, put out an arrest warrant for Osama and offered to donate blood to victims. Libya ties with West are resurrected.
In 2011,the Arab spring started. The revolts are crushed by Gaddafi. NATO comes out in support of the Libyan opposition and air strike Gaddafi's forces. By Oct 11,he's fleeing from city to city. After 42 years, Gaddafi's reign is over. The 2011 revolution has quickly turned in a civil war. The country is still struggling.

What Are You Doing in My Timeline?
This is an alternate timeline I made where Chris Farley lived long enough to finish recording all of his lines for Shrek. What follows is a strange timeline. It was really fun imagining these movies because many of them actually happened.
The story starts in 1997. On December 18, 1997, Chris Farley’s brother John invites him over (so that night Chris doesn’t have the speeball that killed him). He completes the audio for a new animated movie called Shrek directed by Vicky Jensen and Adam Adamson a week later. On January 10, 1998, he’s found dead on the streets of Chicago from an overdose. His last movie Shrek, is released in April 2000 ahead of Disney’s film Dinosaur. It does fine, but not fine enough.
December 18, 1997-Chris Farely stays with his brother John.
January 10, 1998-Chris Farely dies of a drug overdose.
2000
-Shrek starring Chris Farely, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz is released before Disney’s Dinosaur. It earns $123 million on a $54 million budget. People criticize it for taking advantage of Farley’s recent death, and the animation looks too scary for children. The film will ultimately find a second life online, in the same vein as Disney’s Treasure Planet (Never becoming the meme material that it should’ve been). Chicken Run grosses more, barely keeping the company afloat.
-Disney releases Dinosaur and The Emperor’s New Groove to half-decent turnout.
2001
-Mike Myers appears in Dieter’s Day, a comedy film directed by Bo Welch which performs modestly and helps keep SNL films alive for the next few years.
-Disney releases Atlantis, to good reception.
-Pixar releases Monster’s Inc, to great success.
-Dreamworks fails to make much from El Dorado.
2002
-Pixar releases its first fairy tale film, Tam Lin, directed by Brenda Chapman. It is awarded the Oscar for best Animated film. Tam Lin becomes enshrined in the Disney hero category similar to Peter Pan and Aladdin. At the 2003 Academy Awards, a rambling John Lasseter accepts the award for Tam Lin. He says, “Eisner told me this was the year of Stitch. This time it’s the year of Lin.”
-Disney releases Lilo and Stitch and Treasure Planet. However bad blood between John Lasseter and Chris Sanders/Dean Dublois (exacerbated by the Oscar speech) results in the two leaving the company.
-Dreamworks releases Spirit of a Horse with Ben Affleck as the film’s narrator. It performs poorly.
-Blue Sky releases Ice Age, to great success. It’s directed by Don Bluth who managed to finally work with CGI.
2003
-Tim Allen stars in Universal’s Adaptation of The Cat in the Hat. It becomes another modest hit for Imagine Entertainment after The Grinch. And they greenlight plans for a rock musical adaptation of The Lorax starring Jack Black to be released on Earth Day 2005.
-Disney releases Great Bear with Johnny Depp as the titular Kenai.
-Pixar releases Finding Nemo. William H. Macey’s performance as Marlin has the critics applauding.
-Dreamworks folds after the failure of Sinbad (an untitled undersea remake of Mean Streets with Chris Rock and Robert de Niro halt production, and footage of it becomes a holy grail of lost media sleuths in the late 2010s). Katzenburg decides it’s time for him to enter into the internet age, and takes a position back at Sony while working on a video-downloading platform called Quiki. Dreamworks assets are sold to Paramount, and many of the old directors and writers of the company go onto work for Nickelodeon. Films like Nome (an adaptation of the books by Terry Pratchett) and Escape from Manhattan (about a Lion, Hippo, Okapi, and a Giraffe escaping the zoo only to wind up in New Jersey) are put into production. With the dissolution of Dreamworks, Aardman then gains a contract with 20th Century Fox, with their next five films being released alongside Blue Sky.
2004
-Disney releases Cows Gone Wild with Rosie O’donnel, and it does modestly.
-Pixar releases The Supers. Blake Snyder, writer of the screenplay Nuclear Family sues Pixar and receives a portion of the film’s profits.
-Mike Myers stars as Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther.
-Wallace and Gromit: The Great Vegetable Plot by Aardman and Blue Sky is released to critical acclaim.
-Nickelodeon releases The Spongebob Squarepants Movie to great success.
2005
-Disney releases Mark Dindal’s The Ugly Duckling to mixed reviews. Joan Cusack earns praise for her performance as said Duckling facing obstacles in a summer camp.
-Blue Sky releases Robots to great success.
-Disney doesn’t renew Pixar’s contract due to bad blood between John Lasseter and Bob Iger, as well as diminishing returns. In the media storm rumors arise about Lasseter and possible sexual harassment (in our timeline he was let go because of this). He is ousted from the company and his successor is Pete Doctor. Lasseter goes on to work for Jeffrey Katzenberg’s new Clouding Service (in this timeline streaming is called clouding).
-Imagine Entertainment releases The Lorax with Jack Black as the Lorax and Chevy Chase as the Oncler, and despite music by Bon Jovi the film is laughed off. This is the one which causes Dr. Seuss’ widow to stop making live-action adaptations of her husband’s work.
2006
-Quiki is launched as a subscription based website where for $4.99 a month, you can download 11 or 22 minute episodes of original shows on your iPod and later Zune. Some of the shows include new sitcoms such as Penny and the Geeks produced by Chuck Lorre, and Phineas & Ferb, a flash cartoon by Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh. Captain Underpants is also brought to the platform starring Johnny Bravo actor Jeff Bennet as the titular captain. Katzenberg tries to acquire Homestar Runner to no avail.
-Disney releases The Robinsons, to negative reviews. Critics complain that the main villain played by Jim Carrey wasn’t scary enough.
-Pixar releases Monsters Inc. 2: Lost in Scaradise. The final scene where Sully sits with Boo as she is about to pass, music by Hans Zimmer, is acclaimed by critics as one of the most brilliantly edited montages of all time. At this time they have launched a joint venture with Robert Zemeckis to create a new studio called PIXAR LIVE, a mo-cap company, after the success of Robert Zemeckis’ mo-cap adaptation of Zathura.
-Nickelodeon releases Escape from Manhattan, now called Life’s a Jungle. It is hailed as a brilliant social satire of New Jersey’s infrastructure disguised as a goofy kids film. It features Breckin Meyer as Allen the Lion, Queen Latifah as Gloria the Hippo, Jerry Seinfeld as Benny the Okapi, and Matt Leblanc as Simon the Giraffe.
-Sony releases The Wild, with Cedric the Entertainer as a bear who gets lost in Cascadia and decides to create his own theater like the one he performed for in Yellowstone. The film is praised as an animated ‘remake’ of Werner Herzog’s Fitzceraldo.
-Chris Sanders releases American Dog for Blue Sky, the story of a successful dog actor who is forced to make his way in the world. The film is completely without dialogue. They find success and even receive the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Debates as to whether or not this or Monsters Inc. 2 deserve the Oscar go on to the present day.
2007
-Eric Darnell and Chris Buck direct and release Surfin’ Birds. Originally an idea Eric pitched to Dreamworks as a mockumentary with a four-penguin band similar to The Beatles. After his pitch is rejected and Dreamworks dissolves, he finds work at Sony who is working with Chris Buck on a penguin surfing sports film. EMI won’t let them have the rights to The Beatles, so the film is reworked to have the penguins be more similar to The Beach Boys or The Monkees.
-Disney releases an adaptation of Don Quixote with Wilmer Valderrama as Alonso Quijano and Cheech Marin as Sancho. Like Hunchback, it is criticized for watering down a beloved classic, but it finds a new following in the early 2020s.
-Pixar Live releases its first film 1906 featuring Al Pacino in multiple roles. Directed by Brad Bird and an adaptation of the novel of the same name by James Dalessandro, the film about the 1906 earthquake uses mo-cap, and is praised for expanding the medium.
-Nickelodeon releases A Fairly Odd Movie with Justin Long as Timmy, Wanda Sykes as Wanda, Sean Hayes as Cosmo, and Jim Carrey as Mr. Crocker. 4Chan debates Sykes’ casting, with the memes resulting in her calling out the racist ‘internet goblins’ on Conan.
2008
-Aardman’s latest film Crood Awakening is released. Originally an adaptation of The Twits by Roald Dahl, now rewritten and starring John Cleese, the story is of a caveman struggling to evolve in an ever-changing world.
-Pixar releases Toy Story 3. The film about Woody and Buzz attending Andy’s college drew criticism for too many jokes about the way that college works. The film was a box office hit, even with college students.
-Invader Zim finds a third season on Quiki.
-Blue Sky releases Jack Frost, an adaptation of William Joyce’s The Guardians of Childhood, the film has Aaron Carter as Jack and Santa Claus facing off against Bill Nighey’s Pitch Black.
2009
-Disney releases The Sleeping Beauty. A 3D film which is an epic fantasy retelling of Sleeping Beauty. With Mandy Moore as Aurora and Michelle Pfeiffer as Maleficent. The film is criticized for trying to start a franchise, but praised for its sympathetic and nuanced portrayal of Maleficent.
-Pixar releases Newt, a film about two newts who are the last of their species. The film is praised by critics, but draws criticism from Sean Hannity for being too Tree-Huggy and criticism from Greenpeace for its expansive toyline. PIXAR LIVE also releases an adaptation of Yellow Submarine directed by Robert Zemeckis. Tho the real life John and Ringo initially showed support, they retract it when seeing the final movie and its horrifying animation.
-Brad Bird and John Lasseter form a new studio named Noma Studios. Katzenberg shows interest.
2010
-Disney releases their 2D film The Snow Queen. Originally conceived as a musical before director Kevin Lima vetoed that decision, the film underperforms but with praise given towards Kristin Chenowith as the Snow Queen and John and Joan Cusack as the twins.
-Pixar releases The Bear and the Bow featuring Karen Gillian, blowing up at the box office and establishing director Brenda Chapman as one of the great Pixar directors. She sets out to adapt a film based on the fairy tale East of the Sun West of the Moon. Disney and Pixar bury the hatchet and their partnership resumes.
-Quiki in conjunction with Nickelodeon releases Zim’s Revenge, a film which is released in theaters and shortly afterwards online. It becomes a surprise moneymaker and viral hit.
-Aardman releases Tortoise vs. Hare, a story of the tortoise and the hare but about their rematch. Starring Miriam Margoles, Bob Hoskins, and an up and comer called Tom Holland. It underperforms being seen as Aardman’s first mid production.
-Sony and Happy Madison release Castle Drac, starring George Lopez as Dracula, failing to convince his daughter, played by Selena Gomez, to stay in the castle. It is a musical which takes home the Oscar for best Original Song “Little Bite of Love”.
-After the death of Bill Waterson in 2004, Blue Sky acquires the rights to Calvin and Hobbes and releases its adaptation with Robin Williams as Hobbes. The film underperforms and is praised for its ground-breaking animation but criticized by fans for not being something Bill would want.
2011
-Clouding services are starting to overtake TV, but Quiki may not be a part of it after Katzenberg decides to partner with Blockbuster. Lasseter and Bird are at Noma with Bird setting out to direct Ray Gunn and Lasseter an adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ The Sneetches. And the worst part is that there are people online who are beginning to hate Pixar for letting him go.
Katzenberg finally acquires Homestar Runner during the Chapman Brother’s Hiatus. Truly this is a disturbing timeline.
