Where DMC Characters Rank
Capcom Super Elections results have come in and it time to see where the characters of Devil May Cry rank among Capcom's wide array of characters.
Dante is very, very popular. He was voted as the #1 Capcom character overall with 26,874 votes, #1 in both the world and Japan, got first with male voters and second with female. Generation-wise, he was voted as the best by people in their 10s-20s, second best by people in their 30s-40s, and fourth best by voters in their 50s-60s (and higher I presume). He got most popular male character in both the world and Japan.
Vergil was voted as the 4th best Capcom character overall with 10,178 votes. He got the #4 spot in the world and was not on the top 10 list in Japan. He got 6th place among male voters and 5th place among female. People in their 10s-20s found him to be Capcom's 3rd best character, while people in their 30s and higher did not find him worthy of the top ten list. He's Capcom's third most popular male character in the world and the 7th in Japan.
Nero landed 16th place overall with 3,025 votes. People in their 10s-20s found him to be 10th place material, while people older than that did not find him to be top ten material. He landed 7th most popular male character in the world and did not make the list in Japan.
Honorable mention to reboot Dante, who made 70th place with 518 votes.
V got 71st most popular with 516 votes, I can only assume this is supposed to be V from Devil May Cry.
Tragically no women from Devil May Cry made the top 10s, only to be seen through the extended list.
We see Lady come in as Capcom's 80th most popular character with 419 votes.
Trish came in at 234th place with 86 votes.
Surprise contender Sparda managed to find himself in 264th place with 69 votes despite the fact we know nothing about him.
Nico found herself as Capcom's 275th most popular character with 65 votes.
Lucia got 379th place with 32 votes.
Nelo Angelo got his own character spot, apparently, and landed 452nd place. Why those 21 people didn't just vote for Vergil I do not know.
Griffon, Shadow, and Nightmare got grouped together and are Capcom's 507th most popular characters with 15 votes.
Kyrie is Capcom's 538th most popular character with 13 votes.
King Cerberus made 580th place with 10 votes.
Elder Geryon Knight made 770th place with 3 votes.
Mundus somehow managed to get 3 votes and wound up in 770th place.
The Doppelganger also got their own spot and got 2 votes that landed them in 816th place.
Death Scissors aka the bane of my existence apparently got their own character spot and actually got a vote that put them in 867th place.
RIP Eva I ran through this list twice and did not see your name.
#I did not see Kyrie's name the first time through#but I knew she was there because I voted for her so I had to go all the way through again#which I then saw some enemies on the list#what was going on in the head of the person who went through all of Capcom's characters or just DMC's characters and decided Death Scissors#are their favorite I have no clue#Devil May Cry#DMC#Do I want to tag all these characters?#Sure why not#Dante DMC#Vergil DMC#Nero DMC#V DMC#Lady DMC#Trish DMC#Sparda DMC#Nico DMC#Lucia DMC#Nelo Angelo DMC#Griffon DMC#Shadow DMC#Nightmare DMC#Kyrie DMC#Cerberus DMC#Mundus DMC#Eva DMC

Lately I've been thinking about pushing Dante's moveset to its absurd-yet-logical conclusion, and giving him as many styles and weapons as he can have.
I've pictured Dante with 8 styles, with each selected by pressing one of the Style Wheel directions twice (like how Quicksilver and Doppelganger are selected in the Nintendo Switch version of Devil May Cry 3).
It's easy to imagine some of the new styles that Dante could have.
Trickster could be split into two styles. One has his dash, air star, and the wall running mechanic from Devil May Cry 3. The other has a variety of Darkslayer-like teleports. I'd probably name the resulting new style "Redshifter".
Dante's summoned swords/mirage blades introduced in Devil May Cry 5 could be turned into their own style, with Devil Sword Dante gaining some more traditional Swordmaster moves, probably utilizing the scythe transformation that Devil Sword Sparda never really took full advantage of.
He could also have a ranged moveset for his summoned swords/mirage blades, inspired by Vergil's own ranged attacks, though intended more for extending combos than damage in this case.
Both summoned sword/mirage blade styles could also be used to activate Sword Formation with a back-to-forward input. It may seem redundant to place that mechanic in two different styles, but it can be helpful for a player who doesn't want to equip all 8 styles, and wants access to Sword Formation without being forced to choose one particular style.
Maybe the two styles could have similar names to reflect their overlapping roles, and the fact that neither of them are affected by Sword Formation... "Blademaster" and "Bladeslinger"? That'd mean that Sword Formation would have to be renamed to Blade Formation, though, I'm not sure I like that as much.
As for the 8th style, the one overlapping with Royal Guard, I would bring back one of the styles from Devil May Cry 3: the Quicksilver style.
Now, in its original appearance, the style functions more like an alternate Devil Trigger than a style, but I have some ideas to bring it up to par with the other styles. See below:
Quicksilver Style
Dante's Quicksilver Style grants him control over time, allowing himself to manage and recover from intense situations. Rather than pulling from a universal energy pool like Devil Trigger or Royal Gauge, each Quicksilver move has an independent cooldown period. A successful devil hunter will use each move wisely.
Style: Slow Touch
A close-range attack allowing Dante to effectively stop one demon in its tracks. Only one demon can be affected by Slow Touch at a time. Of all of Dante's slowing moves, this one lasts for the longest time. This one has no cooldown period, but using it while another demon is already affected will restore the previously affected demon to full speed, unless Tracker (see below) is active. This move can be performed in the air.
Forward + Style: Slow Sphere.
A projectile move where Dante will launch a small sphere of Slow Time, slowing down any demons inside the radius. Of all of Dante's slowing moves, this one has a moderate duration and cooldown period. This move can be performed in the air.
Backward + Style: Slow Dome.
Create a wide dome of Slow Time where Dante is standing, slowing down any demons inside the radius. Of all of Dante's slowing moves, this one lasts for the shortest time, and has the longest cooldown. This move cannot be performed in the air.
Back-to-Forward + Style: Rewind Time
Reverse time by a few seconds, restoring Health, Devil Trigger, Sin Devil Trigger, Royal Gauge, and Orbs to their previous state. This also reverts the Health and Armor of enemies to its previous state, and restores lost time in the Bloody Palace. This move can be performed in the air.
Sword Formation: Tracker
Dante's summoned swords/mirage blades will form a shape similar to the hands of a clock, and tick. Each hand tracks the duration or cooldown period of one of Dante's four Quicksilver moves.
This will speed up the cooldowns of all Quicksilver moves, cause all Quicksilver moves to last longer, cause Rewind Time to go farther, cause Devil Trigger and Sin Devil Trigger to deplete more slowly, and increase the time window for Quadruple S.
This may sound strong, but keep in mind that this effect is only active while Dante is in Quicksilver style, meaning that the player must remain in Quicksilver style to take full advantage of the effect.
Tracker also allows Dante to stop two demons at a time with Slow Touch. Switching to another style will not interfere with the effect on either stopped demon.
* * *
Besides all of these changes, there are ways to expand the existing styles.
As I said, Devil Sword Dante could have a traditional Swordmaster moveset. Plus, if a moveset is packed, Dante could use inputs where the Attack button and the Style button are pressed at the same time, like Vergil and Nero already do.
Royal Guard already has Forward Release, but you could also add an Up Release performed on the ground, and a Down release performed in the air, with Royal Revenge being moved to a back-to-forward input. Perhaps this could come with a return of the Charge Release mechanic from Devil May Cry 3, which could allow the player to control how much of the Royal Gauge is expended upon a Release. All of this could add some nuance to the pure Royal Guard playstyle.
But I think the style with the most room for expansion is Gunslinger.
I think that Twosome Time and Honeycomb fire could be moved to Ebony and Ivory's standard moveset. Use a back-to-forward input to enter Twosome Time, and hold forward during Twosome Time to activate Honeycomb Fire. Upon switching to Gunslinger, the player would gain access to distinct and complete movesets for Ebony and Ivory respectively.
Ivory moves, consisting of fully automatic sprays, would be mapped to the Style button. The most notable example would be Rainstorm, which now only utilizes Ivory. However, Dante will fire Ebony if the player presses the Gun button during Rainstorm.
Speaking of which, Ebony's moves would be mapped to the Gun button, and would consist of narrow, hard-hitting, penetrating, and sometimes ricocheting shots, somewhat inspired by Spiral from Devil May Cry 3.
Ivory attacks can sort of be charged too, but by repeatedly firing instead of preparing a single shot. Kind of like Dr. Faust's Red Shot, or the Gunslinger style's Rapid Shot from Devil May Cry 3.
While wielding one-handed guns like Coyote-A, Dante can still use Twosome Time, wielding Ebony in his left hand. And if Dante switches to Gunslinger while wielding such a one-handed gun, the gun's standard fire will be replaced by Ebony's Gunslinger moves.
Now, whether not any or all of these changes would actually make Dante more fun to play is subjective, but I still feel proud of what I've come up with. If you made it this far, I hope you enjoyed the post.

Y/N As A Doorman
From "That's Not My Neighbor" game
Warning (?) - Hospital
Note - Is having the character in the hospital a warning? I honestly don't know when to put warning or when they are truly needed.
Part 9 (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8, Part 10)
I woke up to a very bright light. I closed my eyes and opened them little by little, getting used to the brightness.
Looking around, I realized I was in a hospital. My whole body was sore, but strangely it didn't hurt. “I'm probably on painkillers,” I thought as I glanced around the room filled with flowers, making it smell very nice.
The door suddenly opened, and a crying Hoon came in. The moment he saw me, he quickly ran towards me and hugged me. Even though it was a bit hard for me, I hugged him back. “Hey Hoon, how are you?” I asked to calm him down. He looked at me and started talking, but I obviously couldn't understand him but something I did know was that he was worried about me. I then saw D enter the room.
D - “Hey, you're still alive?”
Hoon glared at him, and I chuckled. “You won't be able to get rid of me that easily,” I said as I calmed Hoon down. D smiled and got closer with some snacks.
D - “Here, you need to rest. Don't worry about anything.”
“What happened? Like, what's the situation?” I asked as I opened the bag of snacks.
D - “Well, the two doppelgängers were taken care of. The two girls that were in the office were treated for any possible injuries or anything they may need while also being question as to what happened. A D.D.D agent will take over your post for the time being. The residents are all alive and well, and, well, I think that's pretty much it.”
I was happy that everyone was safe and that nothing bad happened. Even if those two twins were annoying, I still wouldn't leave them to die. “Who gave me all of these flowers?” I asked as I looked around and saw the many different types of flowers.
D - “Their from the apartment residents. They came to see you while you were still asleep and left the flowers as a thank-you gift.”
I smiled and thought about everyone and how we all had created a far more friendly relationship than just me being their doorman. Hoon grabbed a vase and showed it to me. I recognized the vase; it was my grandpa's vase, and the flowers were from the backyard. “Is this your gift to me, Hoon?” I asked and took the vase while smelling the flowers. Hoon nodded and hugged me again. I then started to feel pain everywhere, which made me groan.
Hoon quickly let me go and looked at me with worry. “Don't worry, the painkillers just stopped working,” I said and held his hand to comfort him.
D - “If it hurts too much, I'll call the nurse.”
“Nah, don't worry, I can handle it,” I said, and we stayed like that for some time until they had to leave. I rested back, and suddenly the door opened. I looked and saw Francis, out of breath. “Francis? The visiting hours are up,” I said a bit confused.
Francis - *a bit out of breath* “Yeah, I don't care. I wanted to see how you are doing. I got really worried when I went to the apartment and was informed of what happened. I got even more worried from what the twins said.”
“What did they say?” I asked, a bit curious as to what those brats were telling others.
Francis - *sitting near the bed* “They were saying that you fought a bunch of doppelgangers. If I remember correctly, they said it was you against 5 or more doppelgangers. They also said that you fought with only your fists. Oh, and that you were an angel disguised as a devil. And Selenne just couldn't stop talking about how you saved her and how she was so moved by you, among a lot of other things. Elenois was also so grateful, I think she even went the newspaper to make them publish about this matter.”
“They exaggerated everything. I only fought two doppelgängers. And what do they mean by an angel disguised as a devil?” I asked, confused and strangely happy to know more.
Francis - “Well, since you are always fighting with them, they nicknamed you 'devil doorman.'”
“No wonder! Mia once accidentally called me devil and was about to say something else, but she stopped herself and quickly entered the building. So that's what was happening—freaking brats. Next time, I'll personally hand them over to the doppelgängers,” I said angrily while Francis chuckled. The door then opened, and a nurse came in.
Nurse - *confused, looking at Francis* “What? Young man, you aren't supposed to be here. Visiting hours have long passed.”
Francis - *acting confused* “Really? I didn't check the time, I'm sorry. *standing up* Well, I'll get going. *turns to face Y/N* Goodnight. Rest well, and make sure to get a lot of rest. Don't worry about anything else. You did an amazing job today.”
Francis then left, and the nurse gave me more painkillers. She then left, and I was alone in the room. I looked out the window and saw the full moon. “I'm happy that everything went well,” I thought as I rested my head, closed my eyes, and went to sleep.

Meet "Combat Data Fark (CDF), Combat Data Spark (CDS) , & Combat Data Sfarx (CDSFX)"! A doppelganger boss concept that was inspired from Devil May Cry 3 I pretty much want a boss that actually is just the player character but stronger & the more upgrades you buy the more surprising the boss fight gets so I made these guys lol
Mini lore for these evil copies:
There will be a ??? icon that appears like how when a boss shows up ingame in the map leading back to the base in the Drinyon Desert only with it being in ruins and thats where Spark & Fark go to investigate. This is meant to be a secret boss fight after Clarity is defeated.
Now inside the base Fark sees a scanner in the shape of a metallic eye flying around when it suddenly springs onto him flashing lights rapidly to stun him. As its scanning Fark, Spark leaps into a dive to try to stop the Clarity scanner from completing the scan but its too late as both of them got scanned thus leading to the Combat Data versions of the jesters to rise from the data from the floor and take on their forms. After they were scanned Spark destroys the eye ball scanner with a charged shot and then the battle starts.
The Arena has lasers on all sides & most of the fighting is gonna be in the center of the base. There will be enough wiggle room to catch the copies off guard.
These copies are an incredibly deadly & very egotistical since they will adapt to Spark's & Fark's attack patterns, trying different combos is the way to defeat them as well as hitting them when they are vulnerable when they decide to taunt or laugh.
If not properly parried/counterattacked the copies will deal double damage, the only time they will decide not to harm the Jester Duo is when they do a grab attack. This is because the copies want to toy with the originals more in the fight.
This boss has 3 phases however each Jester is forced to fight their copy, Fark can't assist Spark if he's fighting his copy as an example.so it goes CDF, then CDS, & finally their fusion CDSFX.

Devil May Cry 3 Missions 16-17
Mission 16 is simple and the fight against Lady is a highlight....though the fight itself is too janky for my liking
The actual cutscene is a favorite of mine, as we Dante finally dropping the adrenaline junkie act and start acting more seriously for once, understanding Lady’s pain and accepting his responsabilities. It’s just a very sober moment in such a wacky game.
Mission 17 has the infamous cube room. DMC and platforming don’t mix together very well so I hope you got the double jump for this one.
The Doppelganger is....ok? It’s technically solid but also too simple and repetitive for such a late game boss

Note
You may be interested to know that Dante has access to a Doppelganger style in Devil May Cry 3 too, which he got by defeating a particular boss
Also, I don't think the Doppelganger game mechanic having roots in previous titles necessarily contradicts the one Vergil canonically uses having a unique origin
i know doppelganger was in dmc3 but thing is, it's the idea of vergil having it was what came from the reboot since vergil in it has one in his boss fight. it doesn't do much of anything in there though.
side note: every time i look back at the reboot, i always remember that hideki kamiya, creator of dmc, almost wanted to quit altogether cause he hated where the reboot was going, if i remember correctly.

Adaru32′s VG Dream Story #10
(I’m not a really good writer/typist, so bear with me on a lot of missing details, funny paragraph placements, etc.)
This one’s about that I'm playing a complete remake of Devil May Cry 3, where the missions and item/weapon placements are scrambled (For example, you obtain Beowulf early in the game instead of later), and the cutscene graphics had Naru Omori’s models (In other words, these models):
I was on mission 3 or 4 but instead of fighting Cerberus or Gigapede, I was fighting Dante’s doppelganger. And how I had to defeat him was that I had to lead him to a certain kind of light (You never know which one it is), and turn it on when he's just about to attack you so you can damage him. Each time you damage Doppelganger with a light, there are 6 or 7 of these giant crystal balls sitting in a row near the ceiling area, and one gets shattered at a time. When all crystal balls are shattered, all lights will turn on in the room, causing Doppelganger to become immobile/petrified. It’s then your chance to take him down as fast as you can. If not fast enough, the crystal balls will return, all lights will turn back off, and Doppelganger will use this attack that takes off about half of your health, depending on your condition (Sometimes it would take off a little more or less than half of your health). Thing is, though, that as soon as I was about to defeat Doppelganger (One last punch with Beowulf!), my dream ends where I wake up with the sound of my alarm clock for school. Not a very good way to end the dream...I was looking forward to seeing what happened next.

Thoughts on finishing Devil May Cry 3
I posted a while back about my first time playing Devil May Cry and what I thought of it. Directly afterwards I opted to skip the...um...controversial second game and jump into DMC3. Despite how much I enjoyed it, it actually took me much longer to finish. This was partly due to other games in my backlog I was playing at the same time, most notably Elden Ring and Xenosaga 3. But yesterday I finally finished my Vergil playthrough and I’m ready to give my thoughts. Much like my post on the first game, this isn’t a stuctured review, just some general unfiltered impressions.
-It goes without saying that the combat upgrades are incredible. Every weapon is distinct, and all of them are useful. And the fact that all of them can be further affected by styles adds to the variety tenfold. There’s plenty of room to experiment; or just to find a style that works for you and stick with it. Trying to use everything in one playthrough is a tad overwhelming (I didn’t even get to touch half the styles and mostly used Trickster and Swordmaster with a bit of Doppelganger), but this game does an excellent job encouraging replays for that very purpose. Especially since you can actually level select this time, so practising levels for S Ranks is much smoother.
-The boss fights were pretty much on point. I like the inclusion of Mega Man style weakness weapons to encourage you to experiment with weapons. There are certainly some strategies that work better against some bosses than others but you still have plenty of room to experiment. My favourite bosses were naturally the Vergil fights. They took everything I liked about the Nelo Angelo fights in 1 and turbo charged them. But Agni & Rudra, Beowulf and Geryon were all standouts too. Sadly, the final Arkham fight was a little disappointing. His telegraphs are hard to read, I don’t like how many times he hides out of range, and the second phase Vergil team-up, while cool story-wise, just disempowers the player by taking away Devil Trigger. Still these were the exceptions to the rule. Most bosses were excellently designed. -The presentation is leaps and bounds ahead of the first game. I admit that for me, the jump was exaggerated because I skipped 2 but still. The cutscene animation and direction is incredible, with some wonderfully ludicrous action scenes. That opening cutscene is iconic for a reason. The visuals, while they do have a lot of murky browns and greys, are excellently animated, which makes combat look superb. The grungy music is on point, but contrasted with some more poignant choral tracks. Even the script is smoother. I found it kind of jarring how many sentences in the first game were rather uncanny, they felt like they written with Google Translate. Here, every scene just flows much better. -Speaking of, the story’s actually pretty good. Ok, it’s mostly just a silly action movie plot, but as I say, the cutscenes are much better handled and there’s a pretty nice emotional core. Dante, Vergil and Lady are all fun, compelling characters with understandable motivation and interesting conflicts. Dante’s youthful exhuberence lets the aspects of his personality the first game hinted at really shine. And it makes him a blast to watch in both the cutscenes and his ingame battle animations. Vergil also has a strong introduction. He’s incredibly fun to hate, but there’s some nice subtleties to his character left unsaid that make him surprisingly engrossing. I’m not usually one for smug, edgy bois, but I enjoyed him quite a lot. Lady is just a complete badass, kicking all kinds of butt without even needing demon powers, and probably has the biggest stake in the plot. The ending especiallly felt very satisfying. Lady’s resolution (“And here I thought I wasn’t gonna cry...”) was surprisingly poignant. As was Vergil’s ending. Again, a lot goes unsaid and you can make a lot of different arguments as to why he chose to go into the demon world and leave Dante behind. It’s not high art, but it’s much better presented and more confident in itself than the last two games.
-All that being said...HOLY HECK THIS GAME IS HARD! Part of the reason it took me so much longer to get through this one was because I found myself playing other games just to take a break. Whereas DMC1 is hard, but you get used to it fairly quickly, 3 is much more punishing and demanding, even on Normal. Those bosses push you to your absolute limit. And I shudder to think how much harder the OG US PS2 version was...The difficulty is consistently fair, mind. But I could see it being a little too much for more casual players. -I’m also a little mixed on the out of combat exploration. The levels are larger and the design is more fleshed out than the first game which is nice, but it also risks overstaying its welcome. There’s a ton more backtracking and just walking around, and the creepy atmosphere isn’t quite as striking as the first game, so you feel the drag a bit more. Also, DMC, please stop trying to do platforming challenges. It worked for Bayonetta but it wasn’t fun in DMC1 or 3. It’s not quite as stiff as the first game, but it’s stil far from enjoyable.
-There’s also the inclusion of Vergil as a playable character in the special edition. Vergil’s moveset is much smaller so you don’t have quite the variety and skill ceiling of Dante, who is very much the main course. But Vergil’s toolkit is exceptionally well designed. Switching between all his weapons feels very intuitive. He’s extremely fast and mobile, and unlike Dante’s guns which are very situational, Vergil’s summon swords can be easily combined with melee attacks to break the game. Just map the swords to a trigger button so you can melee and shoot at the same time and watch the damage wrack up. As a result, Vergil’s playthrough is substantially easier. Bosses that took me a ton of attempts on Dante’s route went down first try as Vergil (including the final boss). And it was in this playthrough that I got my first few S Ranks. Vergil may only be a side offering, but he’s a blast to play and I can’t wait to see how sequels will flesh out his gameplay.
Devil May Cry 3 was certainly exhausting at times but it’s a wonderful game and rightly considered a classic. A near universal improvement on what came before. It codified the character action genre and it still holds up exceptionally well today. As brutal as it got at times, I’m looking forward to revisiting it and digging more into its systems. But before that, I plan to go through 4 and 5 so I can see how the series evolved. Hopefully I’ll have stuff to say about Devil May Cry 4 soon! But until then, take care!

I’ll get to those Magic Crafter Dragons I sweeeear But first, fun stuff from Discord. Dunno who made the original, it was just posted on a server, but yeet I did it anyway First of all, I don’t play a lot of games. I like games and the idea of them. I enjoy people playing stuff, I love watching others play. It’s that little sibling culture. But lemme toss a word or few about all of these. Though first of all, I only own 4 of the 8 games listed and even still I’ve only played 3 of them xD R.I.P. Pokemon Cafe Mix - The game is just Super Cute. Like oh my god Aesthetics! Adorable, every pokemon looks so nice and I just want to go to the cafe and taste everything and just chill. Please. It looks so cozy and relaxing. Gameplay is fairly simple too. Sometimes things seem a bit BS but in one way or another I’ll get through every stage etc. so it’s not too bad. Most of the time relaxing, can be addicting because of how simple things are. But really I love the game and I hope one day they’ll add more of the pokemon I like xD Buizel is my current favourite <3 It’d be nice seeing Mienshao or Mienfoo for one, maybe Glameow as it doesn’t get a lot of attention. We got Gogoat, but I wouldn’t mind a Sawsbuck or Deerling Pokemon Black 2 - To keep the Pokemon trend going, this is my fave out of the mainline games. I’ve been a fan ever since the first generation, I’m older than Gen 1 at that. But yeah, we did buy games but Nintendo stuff was too expensive and so I never really got to play those growing up. Black 2 was the first game I ever bought, for myself, with my own money. It was my first game and I loved it dearly. Still do and man I’d Love to replay it, but the curse of only 1 save file is cruel. I don’t want to restart my first ever save file. Currently I have no way of transferring anything over and I even have a Shiny Gothorita there (as underwhelming as it is, it was my first ever shiny). I love these games~~ Lots of different pokemon to choose from, great story, the fact that it’s a sequel is so freaking cool and unique I Love It So Much. Of course it’d be cool to have some extra things to do in it, like cleaning my badges, contests would be cool, I loved the mining stuff in Gen 4 when I got to try it on my friend’s Platinum save file as a kid. Speaking of, Gen 4 games would probably be my favourites, if I ever had the chance of owning and playing any fully. They have soooo much to do in them! Gen 5 is good and certainly up there in faves, but bruh, Gen 4 had all sorts of extra stuff, especially Platinum, and in HG/SS you had Pokemon following you like bruh that’s Crazy and I’d love to have that for a game I own, it’s like a dream Honorable mentions to Mystery Dungeon and Gen 6′s Pokemon Y for some grand memories. Firstly Pokemon Y, the second game I ever owned I think, great fun. I played that game for hooooooooours and it’s the only Pokemon Game that I’ve both played as a Nuzlocke and actually reset to play again. Also the first gen where I actually really got into competitive stuff, breeding for natures and stuff, and I’ve caught so many shinies in Y and Omega Ruby (mostly Y, OR has 1 shiny in Pidove, while Y has Ninetales, Pachirisu, Burmy, Gligar, and perhaps some other ones I caught/hatched myself). Mystery Dungeon games get a mention for having cool stories and I like the idea of the personality test and stuff. I’ve never played or owned any of these games, but I’ve watched Marriland play a handful of the games and currently am enjoying MDB playing through the first games in the series. Also a quick bloop on Colosseum being Cool as heck, and Battle Revolution gets a shoutout for looking so freaking good, having amazing music and making me search up videos with my favourite pokemon and just looking and watching hundreds of videos just because they looked so nice
Fire Emblem has to be the 2nd series of games I’ve gotten the most into. Although I’m a fairly new fan and my experiences and knowledge are limited, I do still enjoy the series and games - both old and new - a bunch. I only own Awakening, Conquest and 3 Houses, but I’ve again watched others play the past games a bunch, so I have some knowledge and memorable moments from those games too. Now I haven’t actually gotten myself to play 3 Houses yet, I’ve seen playthroughs of the game already and know the story etc. But yeh. Still, I’d say that I’ll probably like 3 Houses more than Awakening and Conquest. Awakening is nostalgia galore for me, but it does have its things with the story and characters and stuff. It’s nice, but I dunno, I just feel 3 Houses has an edge on it in some way. Maybe it’s just... Less controversial? Less Flame Wars? Maybe? Fates games, well, we all know the big glaring thing here. The story. And some of the characters suffer from this too. I kinda do wish that the Player had a biiiit more control in how the story went and played out, like I feel you definitely could have saved Scarlet in some way still, and all that. But eh, there’s enough stuff for me to go and prefer 3 Houses over it. And yes, I like choosing the members of my team and playing however I like, so giving me the ability to class my characters however I want is going to be a mistake as I’ll just make everyone a mounted unit and get destroyed but hey! Options :2 Variety :22 Great tiiiiimes~ Also it’s Blue Lions for me, Golden Deer Second Now for the games I don’t own. I chose Radiant Dawn because the Tellius games are just so good. I love the character in them, the story is pretty solid and the worldbuilding is cool too :2 I like both of the games, and while Path of Radiance is more coherent and doesn’t give split the characters up a bunch, Radiant Dawn has More of the great characters :2 Yes I know, not all of them are as fleshed out and thought out as the first game’s characters, but yo I still love them. I love a good continuation to a story. I love a ‘hey maybe it wasn’t as Black & White as we were made to believe’ twist. Also just hella good memories from watching BigKlingy play these games. The audience memed Aran to the final levels. We did it, he did so well, Aran deserved to be there xD Radiant Dawn also brings us Nailah, who is just. Yeah, you speak to me on so many levels, I’m easily readable. But also, woman, wolf, strong, yasss~~ Also I love the idea of the Jaegan character being a Thief/Assassin. That’s just so different and cool to me after all these Horse Units. And I’m the one guy who likes Levail and would love to see more of him. Give us more of Levail, the man who almost made it to being playable. Man. Levail is probably the one reason I’d pick Radiant Dawn over Path of Radiance xD The other game I’ve watched BigKlingy play through (and that’s my only experience on that game) is Sacred Stones. Pretty solid game all in all. Story, characters, but speaking of that story, if you really think about it, it’s Hella Dark, and that’s actually kinda cool in a way. I’m not that into dark stories, but here it worked. Also watched PhoenixMaster1′s playthrough on the Echoes game. I do like the game, if i find it one day I Might buy it but I’m not like in a hurry to get it. It was cool though, different for reasons but hey~ Also, Berkut, yes. I’m one of those people who like this angry man. But come on, he was really good xD Spyro I’ve already talked about in my lengthy little thing that I’ll get to continuing eventually xD But yes, I freaking love Spyro, my childhood, still very enjoyable experience full of great memories Metroid Fusion - Oh boy here come the nostalgia~ I’ve actually never played any Metroid games myself. I got introduced to the series in the early 2010s through youtube videos. I’m fairly sure it was me looking through dozens and dozens of Top 10 videos, several of which were on ‘the scariest bosses’, either unexpectedly scary or something else. But guess what, Nightmare from Fusion was in there, and I Think the person in the video said something on not wanting to even show the final forms of Nightmare’s face because it was that horrifying to them. And honestly? The fact that they didn’t show how bad it got, mixed with my morbid curiosity and woop, here I go~ Down the Metroid rabbithole where I watched a lot of videos on people fighting Nightmare and the other bosses in the game, eventually going into watching full run-throughs of the game and enjoying my time. Game looked pretty good, soundtrack was really nice too. And so I ended up on listening to a lot of the game series’ music and getting more familiar with the other games and the lore too. Learning to know that Samus was a lady was also hella badass. Fusion started it all for me, and while Super Metroid is cool, people also just play it a loooot, especially the Speedrunners, there’s also plenty of hacks based on that game and yeah I get it the game is Good, but that makes Fusion all the more special to me~ Devil May Cry 3 - Ok so again, I’ve not played any DMC games myself. This one again though is nostalgia ocean for me~ 2010 or such, I’m on some forum, said forum has a forum game based around songs or such and someone links one from this game. I Think it was the Doppelganger battle theme, or then I just found that one and listened to it for hours among the other battle themes these games have because they’re soooo gooood~~ DMC 4 was fairly new at that time, but I remember Gredo’s and Agnus’ themes being up there in songs I listened to a lot too. My experiences and stuff on this series was fully based on the songs, images on said songs, bits and pieces of the cutscenes of these games I saw and comments I read. I didn’t get too deep into DMC back then though, but I did have a bit of knowledge here and there, even if my idea of the stories in all the games was, well, I wouldn’t call it warped, but I definitely had imagined the story going differently to how things actually went xD Still, as a few years back I returned to DMC out of that feeling of nostalgia, and discovered DMC 5 had Just been released, boi, I was In. And I watched through cutscene compilations, playthoughs and what have you on all the games (Except for DmC, boot to you ReBoot), and it was quite the hype time~ I enjoy the chracters, the story that there is around them, and just how carefree and fun stuff can be. The party sure did get crazy~ Lost Dimension - The last game I have on the list there. This might be a weird one and I get that yeah. How many have even heard of this game? I sure wouldn’t have ever known of it without BigKlingy’s playthrough of it. But that playthrough was full of memories, I should really rewatch it one day~ I may not remember an awful lot about the game, but I do keep coming back to it in one way or another. I liked the character designs, the fact that all of them were unique and had their own abilities, there was a bit of story around all of them, the traitor system had you thinking & made each run a little different... That’s some Cool Stuff! The game might be a bit obscure and seriously not known at all, but for what it was, it was great and I enjoyed it a bunch! And now for stuff that wasn’t on the list but I kinda still want to mention. Because why not~ IB - This Almost made it onto the list, but I felt a little closer of a connection to the other games on it. But IB is one of those games from the early 2010s that I also got introduced to through the wonderful world of Youtube. I have forgotten the name of the person whose playthrough in the game I watched. But I watched a ton of people play this game. It was just. So cool. The puzzles in this game were nice and the fact I myself could solve and understand them too was pretty nice to me, and for some reason I just enjoyed watching other people react to the game and try solving stuff. It also had a couple different endings so watching and seeing what the other people got was also interesting. Great memories~ Witch’s House / Ao Oni / Mad Father - And all sorts of other horror games that kinda fall under this grouping and style and stuff. Yeah, IB kinda opened a bit of a thing for me as I realized I greatly enjoyed the horror games with puzzle elements to themselves + a bit of story here and there. There’s definitely much much more than these 3, I watched soooo many of these games being played by others. Ao Oni I may have discovered through my Hetalia phase though, HetaOni, if any of you still recognize that name. Daym. Although at first I didn’t want to watch HetaOni because of the portraits. Pfffff I thought the person who made them was being mean to some of the characters, but nah, I’d later learn that those were simply just mimicing the ones from the original game. But yeah, Ao Oni had a dozen variants and things inspired by it so those kept me busy for a whiiiiiile Hades - Now here’s a cool recent game! Again, haven’t played it, but it looks cool. The story is nice, character designs are God Like (hehe), soundtrack is super cool, aesthetics and oh my god everything is voice acted oh my gooood. This game is just. So cool. And the team who did it seems really cool too and are seemingly full of nice amazing people. This is definitely some great example work on how things should be done :2 Definitely something to look up to, I love everything about them~ The only reason Hades isn’t up there is because of its recentness and my brain not managing to think of it somehow even as I struggled to come up with stuff (I was mostly trying to think of stuff I had played, so that’s one thing. I even struggled to remember DMC because my current hyperfixations are elsewhere and that’s freaking Wild considering how much I enjoy DMC) But yeah, Hades is Super Freaking Cool Crash Bandicoot - These games I did play as a kid actually, the 1st one was way too hard and the 3rd one was my favourite. I like Crash, these games were nice too and I have plenty of good memories with the game, just not enough to make it up there on my list. Yeah it sounds stupid that I’d take out a game I actually played and replace it with stuff that I didn’t, but... Hey, my list Minecraft - Watched several videos on other people pllaying this game, I know of it, I respect it, but I’ve never played it myself and stuff. It’s cool but didn’t make it on the list Animal Crossing - Riiiiiight, these games seem adorable and I wouldn’t mind owning an AC game one day. I’d probably reset continuously though to get Skye in my town/village/island, she’s my favourite xD If the recent game had cost lest I might have gotten it. 60-70€ is just, a lot of money Persona - I guess I’ll mention these too. My experiences are through Bigklingy’s videos again. 3 is a fave, 4 seems cool, 5 I don’t know a lot about but it seems nice too. I probably wouldn’t be able to play these games myself, since some fights kinda need certain things and strategies and you can’t really just pick whatever and whom ever and roll through with brute strength. I mean, I Guess you could, but that might not be as fun in the long run? Who knows, but it’s not exactly like Pokemon or Fire Emblem in those regards you know The big conclusion is that I like all sorts of different aesthetic looks, mostly probably natural with some brighter colors in it. Stories are good, I love stories! Good characters with nice designs and backstories are really nice too. Things being thought out and built nicely is great you know? A little bit of strategy, fantasy here and there. Nothing too dark and gloomy or ‘hyper realistic’ or what have you. I guess no first person shooters either, though combat is fine. Games where I can pick and choose what to use and what kinds of ‘teams’ I build and the ‘members’ I use in them is nice. I do love watching others play, but with games like Pokemon & Fire Emblem I have that drive of choosing who to use and having my own unique experience kinda gets me to buy the games.

Headcanon that the red Vergil that Vergil fights in Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is actually a real character. He's a member of the same species as the shadowy doppelganger that Dante fights and gets the Doppelganger style from in the base game. That doppelganger is also who Dante fights on the final floor Devil May Cry 4's Bloody Palace.
I'm less sure of how to fit the Vergil mirror match in Devil May Cry 5's bloody palace into this silly headcanon. His color palette is just whichever one the real Vergil isn't using at the time (either his classic colors or his modern black coat). Perhaps you could chalk this up to Red Vergil becoming more skilled at mimicking Vergil?
Also, what are the implications of V absorbing this Vergil doppelganger? Vergil does gain the ability to summon a ghostly clone once he's restored, and it's easiest to accept this as a power gained from the Devil Bringer, given its similarity to Nero's DT from Devil May Cry 4. But it's fun to imagine that V finally defeating and absorbing Red Vergil was a factor as well.

After watching kdramas on the streaming services I had, I kept seeing recommendations for weightlifting fairy, Kim Bok Joo. So I found Viki. Where I have been trapped, falling in love with a new show after new show ever since.
Shows and my ratings are below the cut.
Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok Joo Kim Bok Joo is a weightlifter who is finally realizing there’s more to life than just sports. This features crushes, sweet sweet boys, wholesome ladies, and fluffiness. 10/10 This was SO GOOD! IT still gives me the happiest of feels to even think about it. I just fell head first into this drama. If I had one, teeny tiny nitpick, it would be that I think the 2nd lead is a bit wooden in his acting. I could never get a good read on him. Marriage not dating Fake dating-Plastic surgeon wants his mom off his back and to stay single. He falls into real feelings. 10/10 I straight up love this one. There's drama (the hair pulling in the mall made me shout with happiness). I love fake relationship dramas and that is what this is, until it's not. I just seriously adore this one. Princess Hours AU History, Girl finds out she’s engaged to crown prince in an arranged marriage. She marries him and DRAMA ensues. 3/10 I liked parts of this one a lot, but I just felt like it dragged way too long and kept repeating itself. Plus the 2nd leads Mom was horrible and I felt no pity for her ever. The kiss in the middle between the leads was extra good though.
Goblin First supernatural kdrama. An immortal can only die when his “bride” comes along to pull the sword from his chest. He meets his bride and the Grim Reaper moves in with him. 9/10 It took me a bit to get use to this one as it was my first supernatural drama. I had to look up some history for it, which I love doing so that was cool. Once I was in though, the main couple HAD ME! The Grim Reaper was also fantastic and I wanted more of his friendship with the leads. Super big BROMANCE in this one. I liked all the supporting cast members as well and the last few episodes had me legitimately sobbing.
What's Wrong With secretary Kim Secretary Kim is the perfect secretary until she quits and her boss will do anything to keep her (cause he loves her, but shh, don’t tell him that.) 10/10 The chemistry is on fire, the leads are amazing and I like the secondary and tertiary stories that are going on all around. This just lit me up from within. The only problem was I felt like the reveal of the flashback plot took a bit too long toward the end.
Full House (2004 version) Girls house is accidentally sold to famous actor. Contract marriage ensues. MORE FAKE DATING!! 9/10 I'm a SUCKER for fake married, so they had an easy lead. (Also a sucker for couples who fight to cover their feelings so add another check mark there) Once again, it took me a few eps to get into it, but once I did, the Main Couple were my jam. Fighting to cover feelings is something that I understand and these characters do it in spades. The family dynamic made me super happy as well. My only complaint is I HATE HATE HATE the female leads “best friends.”
Fated to Love You Accidental pregnancy becomes marriage of convenience becomes so much more. 7/10 While a bunch of the side plots in this are super cringey, I bump it massive points for the middle to the end of the show. Now do I think some of the stupidity went on a bit too long? Yes. Just tell the woman you bought her painting and why! Could have cut most of an episode out. But the scenes with the Main Character talking to the baby…just ugh!!! And when I realized he had taken the baby furniture into his room….and eating cake with the baby!! I was a mess for a few of those eps. Also the main guys laugh freaked me out. But be prepared to CRY in a few places.
All I want for Love is You Follows a couple who go to school together and she follows him to medical school (even though she is scared of blood). She’s a dumb jock, he’s a smart sweetie and both are crushing on each other, but hiding it. (He had REASONS, but bleh) 9.5/10 I love almost everything about this Cdrama except the last episode. They cram months and years of stuff into like 5 seconds. We don't have time to process that the lead character may be dead before oops nope he's back. Now kiss and run off camera…what?? But everything leading up to that episode was so good. The horrible were horrible, but ultimately slightly redeemable. The main guys stole my heart. It was everything, (just wish the last ep stuck the landing)
1% of Anything Girl saves an old man, not knowing who he is. The old man without her knowing makes her a condition of his will. His grandson has to marry her to inherit. 9/10 Fake RELATIONSHIPS GIVE ME LIFE! But seriously this one is pretty sweet, once again it does bog down in a couple of places, but overall, super sweet experience
Oh My Venus Girl who was super hot in high school gains weight and then gets dumped by her bf (of like 15 years). She decides to lose weight. Her trainer and she fall for each other in the process. 7/10-the Main relationship was great once it got going, but I struggled with the family/company drama. I got slightly annoyed at the very end of the show when she was bigger again because of her pregnancy and the man wasn't cool with it.
Fight My Way Four best friends (2 girls, 2 boys) live in a apartment block. Main leads are stuck in dead in jobs, missing out on their dreams. But not for long. Also they realize they are stupid in love with each other along the way. 10/10 A bit of a slower start, but after the like second episode I was in love with it. I wish the girl's plot had been moved a bit faster earlier on, but overall, SO SO GOOD. Although the ex-girlfriend in this one serves little purpose.
The World Owes Me a First Love CDrama, Mobile gaming company CEO and his first employee fall in love while dealing with a new dungeon release for their game. 8/10 Perfectly lovely story with sweet people. I was pleasantly diverted
Love in the Moonlight Historical Drama-Woman poses as man for plot reasons and accidentally becomes a eunich in the palace. The Crown Prince falls for her anyway. 8/10 Apparently I really struggle with the historical dramas. I liked most of this one, until the end when it got bogged down in its own plot.
Coffee Prince Girl poses as a guy to get a job. The boss is super confused, but falling in love anyway. 9/10 A ton of sweet moments with some fake relationship and gender misunderstandings. I really liked this one over all. The moment that the main guy kisses the main girl (thinking she's a guy) is one of my favorite moments. Also a later kissing scene is in my top five favorite kdrama kisses.
You're Beautiful Once again, Girl poses as boy, this time as her twin brother, to help him get into a kpop group. And while there...falls for one of the members. The boys do figure it out fairly quickly and decide to help her. 6/10 Okay, but nothing special. The main girl is good, but probably good she never played the brother. But that was part of what made it weird. We heard about the brother for the whole series, but we never saw any personality from him, just sort of heard about it. And the 2nd female was super evil!
Drunken to love you My first Taiwanese drama. Leads get drunk and married. They stay that way for the plot. 8/10 Stupid in all the best way. It did drag a bit and the introduction of the character Daniel felt super forced. Seriously just super campy and I loved it.
Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me Season 1 Cdrama. Poor girl moves into rich house and Rich boy falls for her (with mother rooting for it all) 1/10 The dubbing was bad, the music was bad, the acting was atrocious and I barely made it though and could not do the second season.
My Princess 9/10 Normal girl finds out she's the Princess of Korea. Love the main couple. A few confusing plot bits in the middle and the two politicians add very little to the story. Ending was a bit confusing, is she still the princess or not? Mask 7/10 Woman is forced to take the place of her doppelganger and falls in love with her new husband. melodrama Main couple is too precious for words. Their romance is wonderful. The 2nd leads (and villain couple) are delicious. The sister is layered and understandable while the man takes moustache twirling to a new meaning. Suspicious Partner 10/10 Law student accused of murdering exbf, works with Prosecutor who loses his job over her case. They fall in love and solve murders. Also Super Adorable and ridiculously attractive. A few slow moments made up for by some really intense ones. Could have probably been tightened up into fewer eps, but all bad points made up for by supporting office characters (Investigator Bang and the CEO are the BESTEST) Bromance!
And that’s what I’ve seen so far. Currently watching Touch your heart. Will let you know how it goes!
