Slava Zima is a new project of experienced musicians from Belarus. Atmospheric black doom folk will appeal to both old metal fans and a new wave of listeners. The material on the album "Slava Zima - Viatry" includes 8 sorrowful tracks that describe the cold part of the year with the rituals of pre-Christian old Belarus. Glory to Winter.

So Peter travels alone in the wide world, protecting people from the strength of a cruel enemy. On his gigantic chest he wears a cross. And under a chain mail shirt he keeps a scarf embroidered by his mother. And it seems that the titan is sad which is why his head is heavy and his figure is downcast. But in the open field Petr Rataj stands up to his full height, clearly looks with his green eyes to the horizon, and longing leaves his body at the sight of the endless forest and the high sky.

Witching - Incendium  (full album, 2023)

There are albums you're listening to every day, every week, every months, always…

And this long awaited album for Witching is one of them. Mixing blackened sludge and doom, Witching offers us a heavy and crushing music that will resonate in your bones through seven all different but all excellent tracks. Starting with a jawbreaking first track with an additional voice, the album will drive you through a variety of different music styles. The second track is

almost slowly a capella, with a witchy doom tone that gives shrills. Then the album goes on by the most ingenious track, the eponym 'Incendium' with a groovy track. The album goes on with a diversity of tones, but keeping its powerful screams and well thought instrumentation, smooth bass, thunder-like drums and unstoppable guitars.

The last song of the album, 'So Young, So Useless' speaks to a whole generation lost in a world that lets them alone and helpless.

Overall, we can remember the howls, the explosion that reaches your ears, and the raging drumming all over the place. The whole band is reaching a new level of extreme after their extremely promissive first album, switching from extreme blackened sludge to sweet pretty sing in ‘From Beneath' or 'Prowling Oblivion'.

This album is a must go for all fans of black metal, sludge, doom and everything that lies in between.

They are from the 1700’s and depict an evil man and a good man both at the split second of their death. When I showed them to Drew and explained the idea -- well, these pieces speak for themselves."

Hello tumblr, time for some metal recordings 🖤🦇🦇🎵🎵🎶🎼

My friend took me to karaoke and the only song I knew all the lyrics to was Bewitched by Candlemass. Despite the plight that faced me I persevered through six minutes of badly singing and awkwardly bobbing my head through long intermissions with zero lyrics.

Jordskaelv - Grauw is mijn Vaandel

Atmospheric Black Metal from the Netherlands

"Grauw is mijn Vaandel" goes back to the initial sound of Jordskaelv and was written in the same way the songs were written back in 1999. When Havoque (Heidenland, D.R.E.P., Fluisterwoud, ...) shaped the atmosphere on guitar on Anzorgheian's primitive keyboard-tracks. This time Anzorgheian did everything by himself while trying to remain close to the sound of those days in the late '90s.
