Bye bye Zizek !

also love that mum and i were literally the Only people masking even tho we were literally at a hospital (/s). had one stranger try and justify to us why she isn't wearing a mask while in the elevator with us (hon, if you find it difficult to breathe through a mask then covid or any other respiratory infection is gonna be a Nightmare) and then the mother-son duo who had an appt after us asked if they should be wearing masks when they saw us come out.
it's like people *know* they should be wearing masks but bc the majority arent and it isn't being enforced, they give into social conformity and convenience and dont. But then seeing someone wearing a mask momentarily breaks the illusion that the pandemic is "over" and they might think to themselves maybe, just maybe, i should probably be wearing one too.*
*obviously this doesn't apply to staunch anti-maskers and similar covidiots, but the average person (esp here in aus) was generally pretty good with masking when it was the social norm and mandates were somewhat enforced

Just saw this abortion ad, heres the short version-
“Woah they just banned abortions after 6 weeks in florida(?)”
“Is that really our problem?”
“Imagine you wake up tomorrow and politicians are telling you and (gf/wifesname) what to do?!?!”
I wonder if this same organization has run ads about masking and covid boosters…
Imagine if I responded to any covidiot with the same rationale.
Its really mask off bc as long as they agree with what the government is doing theyre fine with you being swatted or arrested but the second they dont theyre like 2016 libertarians all the sudden. And unfortunately even when the government uses the boot against its still a loss for all of us even if its funny for 5 seconds. Im so tired

I have been in a mask making frenzy lately! My school is going back to campus partially in person, so masks will be required. I'm a bit of a diva when it comes to my color matching, so I knew I need enough to match any outfit!

Calling 100% BS on the “unsafe to wear a mask” excuse. Here are reasons 1-11
1) I was a trauma nurse for +14 years. I didn’t drop dead because of wearing masks.
2) I developed severe asthma after living in Eugene. Still wore a mask at work and it actually helped with my symptoms during bad allergy seasons.
3) I’ve been on a vent 24x before they had to put in a trach. Wearing a mask definitely is more convenient and a hell of a lot less painful.
4) Every fire season Pulmonologists tells asthma patients to wear a mask. No one complains then and they all fight for their right to wear one.
5) Firefighters, physicians, nurses, radiologists, pharmacists, scientists, archeologists and even gardeners have been wearing them for over 200 years....they aren’t dropping dead because of “low” oxygen levels...
6) Men & Women in Arab nations have been covering their entire faces for centuries...also breathe fine. (The Heat is another matter altogether)
7) They are probably wearing it wrong, it’s ill fitting, not kept clean or the wrong type of mask.
8) If you can’t handle wearing a mask for 15 min at the store you probably shouldn’t be out anyways & should be using the Reasonable Accommodations that are provided by almost every company as defined by the ADA. Curbside pickup, delivery, online & home services ect..
9) If your health is encumbered by a mask you def are in population of those who need one the most
10) See video below 👇
11) Not wearing a mask shows your inability to discern accountability or respect for others. Don’t protest BLM, Human Rights or Abortion if you wont wear a mask. Those lives must not matter to you if you won’t even wear a 4 inch square to protect them. And Yes for the people in the back BLACK Lives Matter so wear a fucking mask.

coronavirus and 9/11 are both major tragedies that kill/killed innocent people where thousands of people died. however, i do NOT condone comparing the two. one was a literal terrorist attack, an act of premeditated, planned, deliberate murder of 2,000 people just tryna make a living for themselves and their families, and in the aftermath hundreds of first responders were also killed, if not by on-site happenings then by diseases caused by their help on ground zero. we could have done next to nothing to prevent this from happening, and no one could have seen it coming. it’s the deliberately malicious nature of this event, however, not the death toll itself that makes this event such a massive deal. (though it is vv high and we should not become desensitized to any number of human lives lost)
the rampage of coronavirus, on the other hand, was completely preventable. it is non-political (out of necessity, the nature of 9/11 turned political) but still an event rooted in nature. it did not happen so suddenly, we should have been prepared, but some nations were left better off in preparations than others. every human life lost is a tragedy in itself, and the hundreds of thousands dead from this virus does indeed far exceed 9/11s, BUT the nature of this is the result of a plethora of mistakes we as humans make/made ourselves.
- tl;dr or i’m just bad at making my point - the covid pandemic and the 9/11 attacks are two separate leagues of tragedy and to compare the two is a disrepsect to lives lost in both of them, as though tragedies are to be compared in a competition to be the deadliest. like how would you feel if your loved one died in 9/11 and suddenly people are saying “that attack shouldnt have even been a big deal because so many more people are dying now!!!!” isnt that just fucking rude anyway i’m getting heated!!!!! have a nice day
