Thank you!! <3 Yeah, Caine and Kinger are a couple when Queenie comes back, and they're very much in a rhythm by the time she's revived. It took some time to get there, with Pomni and Kinger trying to get Caine to work through his anxiety and jealousy and eventually it works out for the best!

As for Caine and Queenie's relationship-

It's very much romantic !! Thanks to this fic which you should REALLY check out, I now HC that Checkmates and Caine were a trio pre Queenie's abstraction, with Caine crushing on them w/o understanding what the feeling was, and Checkmates crushing on him but unsure on how to bring it up to the other spouse

Sometimes, people assume that because I am aroace (or adjacent, I dunno) that I don’t come up with horny shit. I very much do. I don’t enjoy it the same way a not-asexual might, but imagining a generally very gentle and responsible character expose how touch starved and desperate for affection/validation/care they are at their core, only to then get absolutely dominated by their loving wife and stumble away reeling, still makes me giggle and kick my feet like a I’ve just been bought by one direction. Again, not that I'm aware of. Years ago someone asked to translate Checkmate (I think?) to another language but I never saw anything of it. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

I don't think I ever would have considered co-writing if I'd never met @constant-sinner. Our styles and kinks and preferences just gel so well.

Father of All Motherfuckers was my only wip but it got shitcanned because I just didn't have the time (or the ideas, lol). Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth rose from its ashes and honestly I'm happy about that. I really enjoyed writing it. I have toyed with the idea of a set of confessional fics using some of its remnants too, but ehhh. Maybe.

16. What are your writing strengths?

As Raymond says, whimsical blasphemy.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I've never been a fan of dialogue. Some of my stories have masses of it which leads me to believe I was possessed by some sort of loquacious demonic entity at the time. Junkie had zero dialogue and that wasn't even a conscious decision, but goddamn it felt nice.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

If I could speak more than a few words of another language, sure.

Gotham.

Blasphemy (The Victimless Crime). It probably always will be. That fic helped me a lot and led to more fun than I could have ever envisioned. I owe it a motherfucking shitload.

Ah, thanks for the ask, Shai! I feel like I’m constantly going back and forth on which fic I like the most, so this is the vibe today, at least.

Little by Little - This fic was so important to me as I was writing it. I felt a lot of things for these characters, and it was fun playing with scents as more emotion-based than smells.

Party Lines - This started as a prompt from a fic game! The most smut without the characters ever touching each other in person lmao

Single Bells Ring - I have never gotten as much positive feedback about an OC as I did with one in this fic 😅 Writing Louis’ flirting was the highlight here. 

Been Waitin' (After Weekend After Weekend After) - This might be cheating a little, but I think the full fic of this storyline will be one of my favorites whenever I publish it (still in rewriting/draft stage, but it's close!). I wrote bits of this part in a Slack chat with my bestie, and it was cool to take that and turn it into a fic (and part 1 of (almost) exes to lovers).

Surfing the Crowd to You - My first published fic, my beloved <3. It doesn't happen often for me, but sometimes things just lift so perfectly from real life into a story, and the concert festival in this was that for me. Always in my heart, etc, etc.

I made the dress from Pearl (2022) :)

I really wanted to do this well, and I've never made a dress before. So after hours of scouring YouTube tutorials, I decided to do a practice run. This blanket and tablecloth I got from my sister's bed and breakfast worked

First I had to seam rip stitches throughout the blanket, and take out the stuffing.

Making this one gave me a better idea of how the final red dress should go, and that my elastic hairband for buttonhole idea was Not the Best.

One detail I really like, is that as I was figuring out the materials I would need for this, I noticed that the main lace pattern makes an "X" in between the flowers, as a reference to the previous movie. I was SO happy to find a very similar lace, and dyed it red :3 I would post pictures of the other lace I used, because one of them I didn't get enough of but ended up including it anyway, but there's a 10 photo limit,,

Overall, this entire project took about 7 weeks, the red dress alone took 3. I'm so proud of it, I want to tell everyone I meet, and I can't wait for Halloween so I can say "oh you like my costume? Thanks, I made it!! With pockets!!!"
