This scene gives me so many feelings too. Fili is NOT about to let his brother die alone in this strange town of Men! If Kili can't go then Fili won't go either! How do you not love these two? đâ¤ď¸đĽ°

Heyyy i just wanna say that I LOVE your writing. Its so so comforting đŤśđŤśđŤś
Can I request a story/headcanon about how Thorins company/ specifically KĂli would react if (fem) reader got her hair braided by her (non dwarf) friend, and it was just a friendly thing, but the dwarves thought it was a courting braid?
Pairing Fem!Reader x KĂli
Thank youuđŤśđ
Omg thanks! Comfort writing is a big honor đĽš
Mission of Misunderstanding- Kili x F!Human!Reader
Shout-out to my girlies in the unbraidable hair community lmao đ¤ Warnings: one minor swear lol, a couple suggestive remarks
One more step and your feet were going to fall off. Surrendering to the burn, you all but fell down onto the log, tilting your feet so only your heels rested upon the earth. A sigh escaped your lips and you didnât even move when the rustling sounded at your back.
A familiar voice spoke your name. Bilbo. âAre you quite alright?â
âYes, my friend,â you breathed, âso long as you donât count anything below the knee. Or my hair. Canât imagine how much dirt and leaves have gotten in it after all that.â
"Well, yes," Bilbo chided, ever the little mother-hen, "you've got to keep it back. Why don't I braid it for you?"
Your heart burst, and not from exertion this time. "You would do that for me?"
"Of course," the hobbit shrugged, "haven't had much practice of it of late, but certainly I can give it a go for you. I understand. I wouldn't want the mess either. Come here."
Thanking him again, you scooted closer to where Bilbo stood, gritting your teeth for the pain of him detangling your hair, only to relax at the gentle touch of his nimble fingers. Eyelids fluttering shut in contentment, you sat as Bilbo worked his magic neatening your hair up and making fresh braids of it for you. Feet still elevated and aching, but less so the longer you sat off of them. When the hobbit pulled back with a quiet, still-focused finished, your first instinct was to reach up around your head, touching the new set of braids with a widening smile.
"And now it shall be free of my face! Truly, thank you, Bilbo!" Pulling him into a quick hug, you vowed to repay him somehow with a teasing final statement. "Since I doubt you want me to braid yours."
"That is quite alright, thank you," he chuckled, "let's head back to camp before Bombur chases us down, eh?â
Camp was nearby, and still sparsely populated as you approached it. Bofur and Bombur were there building a fire, and Thorin stood a ways aside having a conversation with Balin. Dwalin and Gloin sat playing a game with a rock as their table, and Ori sat knitting. The others, you presumed, were hunting, saddling ponies, or else getting attention from Oin. Thinking nothing of it you sat down again, this time near Dwalin and Gloin, asking who was winning and if they were taking bets just to laugh at their responses. Bilbo helped Bofur and Bombur get set up for dinner a few feet off, propping up sticks strong enough to hold the cooking pot.
Sure enough, the rest of the company began trickling in, Oin, Bifur, and Nori first, the latter two with poultices and bandages. You winced. Perhaps you should complain less about your feet. Next up came Dori and Fili, who each carried one half of a felled deer, shot clearly with one of Kili's arrows. The younger prince had a bag in hand, likely having won whatever silly game determined who got the lightest load. Smiling and meeting his eyes, you gave a quick wave, indicating your amusement at the game behind you with your eyes.
Kili smiled back and waved, then swiveled his head away and back again in a double-take. You found yourself frowning as he averted his gaze to help his brother, blinking as you wondered what that was about. All you'd done was say hello. Not even say, really. Did he think you were making fun of the others?
Perhaps it was nothing, but considering your feelings for the prince, it was everything in your mind. Cycling ideas began overtaking your brain like mist. Had he suspected malice of your joke? Had he simply heard something? Why had his expression shifted so? Maybe he was just worried by what he heard.
~
"What did I miss while we were gone?"
At Kili's words, Dwalin simply frowned, peering at him like he'd thoroughly lost his marbles. "What do ya mean, lad?"
"Did...did anything happen?"
"Took Gloin for a right fool on the card table," the older dwarf replied with a smug look, chest puffing and shoulders widening.
"No," the prince shook his head, "not with you, with..."
Despite the way he trailed off, Dwalin gave him a knowing smirk, crossing his tattooed arms. "Ah, I see," he nodded, "not with me, not with me at all. With the lass, eh? Why, she didnât greet you with a kiss?â
Having an older brother really steeled one to teasing. Much as Kili wanted to fight, to protest and say oi, quit that or Iâll make you, he knew it was exactly the rise Dwalin wouldâve wanted to get from him. Beside the other fact that his elder could kick his ass easily.
ââCourse not,â he replied nonchalantly as he could, âI just noticed someone had braided her hair was all.â
Even Dwalin had cause for surprise at that, dark eyebrows shooting up to his metaphorical hairline. âJust since this morning?â
âYeah,â Kili replied, trying not to sound as deflated as the words made him feel, knocking the air clean out of him now that heâd said them out loud, âthought maybe youâd seen who did it.â
âHadnât even crossed my mind, but I think it was like that when she and Bilbo headed back to camp.â
âBilbo?â Heâd lose to a three and a half footâŚgrocer? âWell now, Iâd not have expected that, eh?â
âI can tell ye donât actually want to laugh, son.â
Sighing, he finally let himself deflate. Bilbo? You and Bilbo?
~
âI hardly see them talk that much. Do you?â
âNot nearly enough to warrant a marriage. Those take time.â
âI know, Fee.â
âSpark.â
âI know.â
âAnd I thought you two had it. Not even just saying that because youâre my brother. You know Iâm honest with you. The only reason those two would have is both feeling like outsiders, and that hardly seems cause to f-â
âThank you, Fili, yes. Perhaps I was just wrong. Perhaps she could never have loved me after all. She wasnât my One.â
âNow, brother,â grabbing him by the cheeks with one hand, Fili pulled his younger brotherâs gaze to meet his, ânot so hasty. Have you talked to either of them yet?â
âWasnât ready,â he mumbled, shaking out of the squishing grasp.
âWell, perhaps you should. Knowing is pain, yes, but it is also the thing that keeps us going in the end.â
Kili dropped his gaze thoughtfully before meeting his brotherâs eye again, smiling faintly. âRemember our old espionage days? Maybe itâs time we had another mission.â
âAlright,â Fili nodded and smiled, âfor old timesâ sake.â
~
âWell hello there, Master Burglar.â
âWhatever it is, I wonât fall for it.â
âNow, now, so dry and for what?â Fili wrapped an arm around the hobbit. âI was just wondering how you you were coming along withâŚa certain member of the company.â
At that, the hobbitâs face crumpled in disgust. By Filiâs reckoning, Master Bilbo seemed barely interested in romance and certainly not with any of the types he currently ran with. He needed someone more doilies and dishcloths and the lot. You may have been the closest to his type, but still far too much of an edge, far too much indeed.
âI beg your pardon?â Bilbo simply replied.
With a conspiratorial wink, Fili leaned in and whispered your name, glancing back to the hobbitâs eyes, which narrowed slightly. Suspicious.
âUh, w-well I would say,â Bilbo stuttered, shrugging lightly, âwell as we could be, all things considered.â
âAll things considered?â Filiâs grip tightened a bit. âThere are things to be considered?â
âThere are plenty of things to be considered!â The burglar shot back. âWhy, is she upset with me? Last I heard, she liked the braids and I made her feel much more comfortable. Have I done something today?â
Blue eyes closing to near-slits, Fili released his grip entirely, arm falling back to his side. âDid she ask you to arrange her hair?â
âShe complained about it,â Bilbo replied, shimmying in his newfound freedom and using his released arm to slide his pack closer, âso I offered to do something about it. Canât imagine that is much of an outrageâŚoh. Oh, good heavens! No! Oh, no. No. She could be my daughter, who on earth sent you over here toâŚ?â
Blonde brows raising, Filiâs head shot back in surprising hard enough to send his mustache braids swinging. âWait, so you do know about courting braids?â
âGloin was just telling me all about his,â the hobbit replied, freezing in place even in spite of his awkward, hunched-into-his-pack-hands-deep posture, âneither of us thought a thing about it. Privately I was hoping she and Kili would do whatever it was to get the tension out there, you know?â
Fili did know. He knew, all right.
~
âPsst! Psst! Hoo! Hoo! Caw!â
Kiliâs head snapped up at the sound, dark eyes meeting his brotherâs fair head popping from the scraggly bushes surrounding camp. One gloved hand waved wild beckoning at the younger prince. Rising from the rock heâd sat down on, one with a strategic view of some conversation between you, Uncle Thorin, and Balin, Kili strode to the edges of camp.
âReconnaissance successful,â his older brother hissed.
âWhat?â Jaw dropping, Kili felt his hands leave his chest and clench in surprise. âThat was fast. Nothing for me to do?â
âNot true, brother. Not true at all,â Fili smiled, âyour part is far more important. You have to go talk to her.â
With a sigh, Kili nodded despite the heavy clunk of his heart in his chest. All the childhood playtimes were nice and all, but at the end of the day he had to be a dwarf about things. Face his fears, just like Uncle Thorin and his father and even Fili.
âYouâre right. Though I dread it in my heart, I must speak to her. Even if my love is never known.â
âI wish you the greatest of luck,â Fili patted his shoulder, smiling eagerly, âand trust me. She wonât do a single thing to hurt you. I know it. Alright?â
Another nod. âAlright.â
Inhale, exhale. One step, then another. It was hard sometimes. Putting on the bravado. Fili was always so capable and Uncle had high standards. Not that he shouldnât, butâŚit just got easier to act unafraid of everything. In truth, there was much Kili didnât understand. Much he feared. Perhaps even his own heart, and that was why he had allowed himself to play games with it for so long. No longer, though.
Crunching across the dry campsite ground, he marched up to you as your conversation ended and asked to speak with you, frowning slightly at the nod Balin and Thorin exchanged. Focusing instead on your gaze, the way your eyes were intent in his and the-admittedly quite adorable-way shock bloomed across your face before giving way to a smile and a nod.
âOf course,â you said, and that was that.
How was it that one little smile from you could simultaneously calm Kili's heart and set it leaping like nothing else? There truly was no denying that you were special. Perhaps Bilbo had seen what was so dazzlingly obvious, too. Guess that wasn't too much of a shock.
You both ventured toward the tree line, stopping next to a particularly sturdy trunk. Eagerness was written across your face as you leaned against the smooth bark, encouraging Kili with a smile he couldn't help faintly mirroring even as tears swam in his eyes.
"Are congratulations in order?"
"For me?" You asked, head tilting and hand reaching to your chest. "Forgive me, but what are you asking? I thought maybe I'd upset you last night, but now I really fear it. Or are you teasing me again?"
All thought was scrubbed from Kili's brain at your words, a thick blanket of confusion draping over the prince's mind and furrowing his brows. Is this what Fili meant? Were you not to hurt him because you thought him cross with you? That hurt a bit in and of itself. Perhaps you'd known he would be jealous. But then again, you had greeted him so casually, giving him a cute little wave when he came back...
"Please," he all but begged your name, "the suspense is just killing me. Is that not a courting braid you've been given? I know it is new as of yesterday."
"Is that why you looked so perturbed? Courting...courting braid? Kili," you laughed, "my hair was full of sticks and leaves and all manner of muck, so Bilbo detangled it and got it out of my face for me! Bilbo could be my father!"
Still a bit shaky, but Kili's face surrendered a smile at the teasing smack you gave his upper arm. "Oh, forgive me for being a dwarf," he shot back, "I was hardly the only one who noticed."
"But you were the only one who was jealous," you teased him back, "is that not right?"
Kili could tell by the faltering smirk you gave, by the dart of your beautiful eyes, that you did not truly believe it, but by Mahal, you would when he was done with you.
"Madly," he agreed, eyes boring into yours, "never let anyone but me braid your hair again."
Eyebrows shooting up to your hairline, you peeled yourself from the tree as if to get a closer look. "Kili..."
"I mean it," he implored your name once more, gently taking your shoulders in his hands, "please. This isn't a joke, but if you'd like me to convince you..."
Surging forward, Kili closed the gap between you two, his lips soft against yours and stubble pleasantly tickling against your skin, which shifted as you moved in response to his kiss. Your hands found purchase in his hair, tangling in it and eliciting a sound Kili was too focused on you to be embarrassed about. When you finally pulled away for air, he pulled you back, resting his forehead against yours with a growing smile.
"So, you convinced?"
Your eyes glittered with mirth, joy, mischief...perhaps even love, and Kili knew he should have never doubted you were his One. "So convinced I practically want you to rip out all of Bilbo's work and do it over again yourself."
"You don't have to tell me twice."

Hobbit/LOTR characters when their s/o is upset with them
yes i'm reusing this trope and i dont care its easy-- also lmk if u want more characters and which onessss :3
requests are open (seriously please give me ideas)
Thorin
honestly
his reaction is so dependant on when you're upset with him
if its during the journey he will notice right away
he refuses to go to bed angry at each other
he makes time for you guys to talk every night
if its during his dragon sickness bit
yeah
no
he doesn't give a single shit
telling him that you're upset doesn't even do anything except make him mad
like you're wasting his time
AND
not looking for the stone so like
what the fuck are you doing
if we're talking like after the war
everybody lives au ofc
it probably takes him a little while to notice that you're upset if you don't flat out say anything
he's just slightly busy rebuilding a kingdom
honestly when he does notice or when you tell him
he feels bad
he decides it's time for a break
even if it's just for an hour or two
will take you through the halls just to talk through things
or he'll sit and have tea with you
honestly whatever you wanna do he's down
you are his only priority
if only for an hour
Fili
i would say that he's probably pretty in tune with your emotions
hes a sweet dwarf
will make you tea because he knows your upset
sometimes forgets that hes a little shit
like doesnt realise that things he does can make people upset
let alone you
right over his head
you will have to sit him down and talk with him
he will feel bad immediately
will apologize
offers to make it up to you in any way he can
I feel like if this happens after like the battle and the reclaiming of his future kingdom
he might be a bit busy
but he wants to sit and talk to you every night before bed
even if its just for a few minutes
so when you went to bed without him one night
oh he knows he messed up
theres no way to misinterpret that
will wake you up with kisses and apologies
even if he doesn't know what he is apologizing for
hes just a big sweetie
Kili
sweet boy
another kind of clueless one
id assume that you probably get upset at him sometime during the journey
while yes he is sweet
he can be kind of neglectful without meaning to be
he feels like he has to prove himself to his uncle because he is different from the other dwarves.
has a lot on his mind
i feel like he deffo neglects your relationship at times bc of it
which is why you pulled back
not pushing for affection as much as you did before
letting him get himself into bad situations
reminding him to eat/sharpen his sword
setting up his bedroll while he goes off to help with camp set up
it takes him a couple days to realize something is off
bc he totally doesnt realize how much you're actually looking out for him
it hits him one night after dinner that his bed roll isnt set up? and its not next to you? and you're already asleep?
wait when did he actually sit down and talk to you last?
doesn't sleep that night, just sits and watches you while thinking back on the past like week
as soon as you wake up he's by your side and asking if you guys could take a walk before the journey starts for that day
you agree
he immediately starts apologizing and explaining himself
i think the best way to deal with it is to like
have a nice sit down and talk it out
maybe not right at that moment but
eventually you guys have a long talk where you both talk about how you're feeling with the relationship and just emotionally and i think that solves a lot
like he lets u know just how insecure he is bc of how different he is
and you can talk about feeling neglected
at the end of it all he promises to put more effort but also wants you to know that you dont HAVE to do all those things for him to notice you/love you
very healthy tbh

You Love Bread!
Chapter 8
Thorin Oakenshield x AFAB!Reader
Summary: You wake up from your fainting spell to a group of very concerned dwarves. Thorin in particular would like some answers, and might just have a few ideas up his sleeve to solve your problem...
Warnings: no use of y/n, angst, NSFW, 18+, Minors do not interact, smut, implied eating disorder/starvation
author's note: This chapter ended up being sooo much longer than I anticipated, so I had to break it up into 2 parts. Don't hate me for where I choose to leave this one offđ
Word count: 2121
Someone is pressing a cold cloth to your forehead when you slowly start to drift back into consciousness. You groan as you start to regain feeling in your fingers and toes again.Â
It takes a moment for the memory of what happened to flood back in and your breath hitches in a jolt of panic as your eyes snap open and you scramble to get back to your feet.Â
âWoah, easy there lass,â Filiâs voice comes from behind you and he removes the cloth from your face to place a firm hand on your shoulder, keeping you from getting back up just yet.
âIâm fine,â you grumble, shaking him off.
âNo youâre not,â Kili chuckles from your side. âYou swooned into Thorinâs arms like some kind of damsel in distress. You need to take it slow.â
The brothers both bring a hand to your back, gently helping you to sit up further. Fili hands the cool cloth over to you and you sigh in relief as you slide it along your neck and chest.Â
Ironically you feel a lot better than you did before you passed out. A gentle breeze blows through your hair, and looking around you can see you are no longer in the same place you were when you lost consciousness.Â
Someone has carried you off the path to lie in a patch of grass alongside a small lake. The rest of the company must be waiting nearby as you can hear their booming voices through the trees and can smell the smoke of a campfire and food cooking over the flames. You feel something soft beneath you and look down to find yourself laying on a fur cloak. Thorinâs cloak.Â
You look around to try and find him. Farther down the lake you see him conversing with Oin and Bombur. They speak in hushed tones but judging by the troubled looks on their faces itâs safe to assume theyâre talking about you.
âSheâs awake, uncle,â Kili calls from behind you and Thorinâs head snaps to look over at you. He says something to Oin and they both hurry over to you.Â
âWelcome back, lassie,â Oin says, âyou gave us quite a fright.â
âYou need to eat something,â Thorin says, signaling to Bombur to bring you some food.Â
âIâm not hungry,â you tell him, âI just got too hot is all.â
âThat wasnât just heat stroke,â Oin replies with concern, âyouâre still very pale and Thorin says youâve been weak and disoriented all day.â
Of course, he did. You look over at him with a glare.Â
âWell then he would be mistaken, Iâm perfectly fine.â you lie.Â
Bombur finally returns and approaches you with a bowl of soup and some bread but you shake your head, waving him off.Â
âIâm not hungry,â you tell them again, âIâm ready to get back on the road I just need a minute to catch my breath.â
âWeâre not going anywhere. The others have already started making camp here for the evening, weâll start up again in the morning,â Thorin insists. He takes the bread from Bombur and shoos him away with the rest.
âBut Durinâs day-â you protest, knowing your deadline is fast approaching.
âWe can afford to wait a little longer, we already covered enough ground today. Here,â he replies, offering you the bread, âjust eat some of this.â
You push his hand away with another shake of your head. You can keep going you know you can. Youâve put a good amount of distance between you and the orcs already; you wonât jeopardize that now.Â
âIn all the time Iâve known you, Iâve never once seen you refuse bread,â Kili comments with a nervous chuckle.
âYou love bread,â Fili agrees.Â
You pay them no mind, keeping your eyes locked on Thorinâs as he thoughtfully examines your face. Heâs given you no indication yet that he knows your real motives. How could he?
âLeave us,â he instructs the others, still looking at you.Â
They all hurry off towards camp without protest.Â
Fili hands the damp cloth over to his uncle and gives you another worried look before joining the others.Â
Thorin is still looking at you in silence. Your anxiety gets the better of you and you pull your gaze away to look down at the ground, trying to feign innocence.Â
He still says nothing.Â
Does he expect you to speak first? Perhaps heâs hoping that if he waits long enough youâll divulge everything to him on your own.Â
Thatâs not going to happen, you laugh to yourself.
He rises to his feet with a sigh, but you still refuse to look at him as he makes his way over to the nearby lake. You hear him dip the cloth back into the water and wring it out before coming to sit in front of you.
He brings two fingers up to your chin, and gently turns your face to look at him. Youâre too exhausted to fight him.Â
His hand slides down to your neck, gently tipping your head back so he can see you better. You refuse to let your eyes meet his, instead electing to look over his shoulder at the light reflecting off the lake.
You shudder as he brings the cool cloth up to your face, tracing a slow line from your temple all the way down to your jaw.Â
âBombur says he hasnât seen you eat anything since Rivendell. No one has,â Thorinâs voice is gentle and cautious. Not at all what you were expecting.Â
You finally meet his eyes to see they are not angry as you were expecting. Instead, theyâre full of fear. You canât remember the last time you saw this side of Thorin, if ever.Â
The cloth makes its way down the column of your neck, inching its way closer and closer towards the top of your breasts. You hate how much you ache for him to touch you there again.
Maybe itâs your desire or his rare show of vulnerability but you canât help the words that escape your lips.Â
âOrcs can smell blood,â you whisper.Â
The cloth freezes just above your collarbone and he looks at you in confusion.Â
âIâm due to start my monthly cycle in the next few days,â you clarify and can see as the last pieces of the mental puzzle fall into place.
His brow furrows and his hand drops away from your chest.
âYou heard what Lord Elrond said. If we are being hunted by Orcs I didnât want to lead them right to us. I figured if I stopped eating for a while the bleeding wouldnât start and it would buy us more time to get them off our backs.â
You bite your bottom lip, waiting anxiously for the lecture to begin. For him to yell and shout and tell you how reckless you were, or even worse to send you away from the company until youâre no longer a liability.Â
But he doesnât.Â
âWhy didnât you tell me?â he whispers.Â
You raise an eyebrow at him, âwhy didnât I tell you I was about to start menstruating while weâre being hunted by a pack of orcs?â
âDid you think Iâd be angry with you?â he scoffs, âover something you canât control?â
âNo, Thorin,â you snap, âI thought youâd send me away. Again!â
He blinks at you in surprise.Â
âIf me being here puts everyone else in jeopardy, if it puts our quest in jeopardy, then that makes me a liability and it is your duty as king to send me away.â
âDonât you dare try to tell me what my duty is,â his voice drops into a low growl and his fists begin to clench sending drops of water running down his knuckles from the cloth still in his hand.
âQuest or no quest I am also responsible for the well-being of my people which includes you in case youâve forgotten. I will not allow you to do something so reckless and idiotic! How can you expect me to successfully lead this company to Erebor if youâre starving yourself while my back is turned? If you had told me earlier we could have found a better solution that didnât cause you to faint in the middle of the road!â
âYou mean if I had told you earlier, you could have left me behind in Rivendell instead of slowing the company down?â you snap back as he moves his face closer to yours. You can see the angry clench of his jaw, and the furrowed lines of his brow that seem to be a permanent facial feature on him.
âI would have thought youâd prefer the company of elves over that of your kin, you certainly seemed to enjoy Lord Elrondâs the other night-âÂ
You still feel weak from hunger but somehow the rage his words inspire gathers up enough strength for you to roughly shove him away from you. He barely budges and you lift your arms to shove him again, but this time he catches you, grabbing you by the wrists keeping you firmly in place. He pulls you closer into his chest until youâre almost nose to nose.Â
âYou will stay here with us and you will do so with a full belly. I need you to keep your strength up for the journey ahead and the orcs pursuing us. And I swear to you,â he says with a growl, â If I ever hear about you trying to starve yourself again, I will personally shove every last crumb down your throat. Do I make myself clear?â
âOh I have no doubt youâve been dying to shove something down my throat,â you purr with a wicked grin, âwhich is why I donât intend to give you the satisfaction, your grace.â
His grip on your wrists tightens.
âWeâll see about that,â he growls, letting go of your wrists. Before you can even blink his hands are grabbing your face, pulling your lips into his in an angry, passionate kiss.Â
You know you should resist him, or at least pretend like you donât want him as badly as he clearly wants you. But seeing as you are quite literally starving, and he tastes absolutely amazingâŚ
You tangle your hands in his hair and pull him closer to you. You groan in pleasure as his tongue sneaks past your lips forcing himself deeper inside your mouth. His hands leave your face and travel down your body to cup your ass firmly, pulling you into his lap.
You can feel his arousal through his trousers, stabbing your upper thigh, so close to where you want him but not quite close enough.Â
He drags his teeth along your bottom lip before starting to kiss a slow path along your jawline and down your neck, biting at your flesh as he travels further and further down.Â
You free a hand from his hair and reach it down between the two of you. You press your palm against his length and he growls into your neck. You want to tease him, to drive him to the edge of insanity until he is completely addicted to you. But not as badly as you want to feel him, all of him. You bring your other hand down to help unfasten his pants but before you can succeed he suddenly has you on your back beneath him, wrists held firmly overhead.Â
You growl and squirm trying to free yourself but you both know youâre not exactly at fighting strength at the moment. You are completely at his mercy and you canât stand it.Â
âPlease,â you whine, trying helplessly to press your body up to meet his again but he refuses to budge. âI need it,â you complain.Â
âOh, I know exactly what you need,â he whispers, his beard tickling your face. He releases just one of his hands, moving your free wrist to join the other and your breath hitches in anticipation, hoping that hand is about to touch you in all the places that ache for him.
You open your mouth to beg for just that when something soft is suddenly stuffed into your mouth.Â
You blink at him in confusion before your taste buds can identify the unexpected guest.
Bread!
âYouâre going to eat every last crumb,â he demands, âand when youâre done with that youâll have more. Iâm going to stay here and watch you eat every last bite, then and only then, will you get your other needs fulfilled. Do you understand?âÂ
You nod eagerly, unable to speak around the roll he shoved in your mouth.
His breath his hot against your cheek as he brings his lips closer towards your ear.
âGood girl,â he growls

A Wee Reflection on the Ending of 'The Hobbit'
I've just finished reading The Hobbit for the second time (yes I'm on a train as I'm writing this) and the ending made me WAYYYYYY more emotional than last time. When reading the farewell between Thorin and Bilbo before Thorin's death, I has chocking up so much I had to put the book down to recollect myself. Also, it would be embarrassing to be crying on a train... especially when it's about a fictional character.
There are a couple of things I find disheartening about the ending. The obvious (I think) is both Fili and Kili dying while defending their uncle and their Kingdom. Yes, it is heroic and kingly of the both of them, but they died only living in the Lonely mountain for a week or two. And then that wasn't exactly living; just surviving. They will never experience the liveliness of the Lonely Mountain as Thorin did before the desolation of Smaug - only know what they've been told growing up. This is why I don't watch the last Hobbit movie as I don't want to acknowledge how bad the ending is for the Durin line. Maybe cause I have a soft spot for them in both movies and book.
The other thing is Dwalin. Man I have such a soft spot (let's face it, it's a crush on this man dwarf) for him so I can't help but somewhat empathise with him. He lost his King, but most importantly his BEST FRIEND whom he would have stuck with through thick and thin. A friendship like that is irreplaceable no matter how much gold or silver is in Middle-Earth. (Don't mind me choking up while writing this bit lol.) Another thing with Dwalin, which is a bit of a digression, is how he outlived all the company members - particularly his brother, Balin. He would have heard news after the event in LOTR about Moria and the death of his brother. It's heartbreaking.
I did think that right at the end of the Hobbit tried to be more cheery and comical, especially with the auction and Bilbo's house. The visit from Gandalf and Balin felt reminiscent of the beginning for me despite only being the reader. Still, I am feeling an emptiness in chest that will last for a day or two haha.

âYouâre plotting something.â
The ranger paused in her movements, lowering the spoonful back into the bowl. She looked up at the older dwarf sitting across the fire from her before she squinted her eyes at him.
âWhat makes you say that?â she replied back, keeping the tone of her voice as neutral as possible, not wanting to lead him on in any way, shape, or form.
Balin raised his eyebrows in disbelief as if to say that he didn't believe her, to which he was within his rights to do so and was as true as the sun rising in the east each morning. That was the only thing she hated about the old man. His ability to tell whenever she was up to something.
Or maybe it was because she was terrible at keeping secrets.
"Youâre always plotting something," Balin spoke back, eating another mouthful of food before speaking again, "I don't suppose it has anything to do with leaving me here in favour of your gold hair-prince by chance?"
She choked on the food causing herself to swallow it to breathe again. Although she was used to the teasing from Kili and other dwarrow she knew, it hadn't occurred to her that she would face the same from Balin. But then again, it was Balin.
"You do understand why you couldn't travel with him?"
The pointed look he gave her was all she need to know.
It was a topic that came up constantly surrounding her betrothal to Fili. A lot of the dwarves in the mountain believed that their relationship was moving too fast, especially for the young people they were. Dis had tried to advocate for them and had Balin at the time, knowing what it was like when you met your one, but lots of the older traditional dwarrow couldn't be budged on their opinions. And so it meant the two had to be chaperoned a lot more than they previously were.
So when it came to the journey to Hobbiton, she wasn't surprised when it was requested she travels with Balin rather than unchaperoned with the two Durin brothers.
The white-haired dwarf saw how she deflated in on herself, subconsciously making herself appear smaller as thoughts plagued her mind. Blain internally sighed. It hadn't been his intent to cause her any pain or sorrow, so the only thing he supposed he should offer the lass was comfort and the thoughts of what was to come.
He rose from the ground, trudging over to her side of the campfire and sitting ever so graceless next to her.
"Just think, in a few days, you'll be able to see him again," he teased, "and to think he'll be glad to see you still have that dagger of his."
She considered his words carefully, trying not to blush but regrettably failing at the mention of the dagger Fili had gifted her. It was part of his courting gift to her, alongside the braid in her hair that she knew he would be itching to re-do upon seeing her again.
She smiled, remembering the day he gifted them to her as if it was yesterday. The way Fili's eyes shone with the love he held for her; how fingers carefully caressed through her hair, braiding strands together and clasping a bead into the end.
Her heart swelled at the thought of Fili doing that again.

Mommah's Birthday Bash - Day 6
"Good morning, my love." Your husband murmurs. His lips graze your temple. You groan softly, roll onto your side and nose into his chest hair. Fili chuckles and holds you close. "Are you sore?" He asks. "No way." You hiss. He grins widely. "I'll have to work harder then." He rumbles. "Do you want me sore?" You ask. "I want you so well fucked that you can't walk for a few hours." Fili replies.
You roll onto your back, pulling him on top of you. "Come on then." You reply. "Don't mind if I do." Your Prince smirks down on you. He cups your face with one firm hand, pulling you in for a deep, slow kiss. You taste sleep and the love you made the previous night on his tongue.
Slowly he begins to grind against you. He is already hard against your thigh.
"Eager, are we?" You tease. "For you, of course." Fili replies. He thrusts forward and you feel some precum on your skin. You wrap your legs around his hips, nudging him a little to allign his cock with your cunt. "Was I off?" He jokes. "Yes, a lil." You roll your eyes.
Fili rocks his pelvis again. This time his cock catches on your clit. You moan and rock back up against him. "There we go." You cooe. Fili chuckles feebly and rutts against you. He kisses you again, slowly this time around. You cup his face and nibble on his bottom lip. Fili moans lewdly. He keeps grinding on you, his cock rubbing against your clit with every thrust. You moan in each other's mouths and rock you bodies together in a slow, lazy fashion.
"I want to be inside you." Fili rasps. "I want to make you pregnant."
He knows his duty. It is up to him to provide an heir. The newest prince in Durin's line. But he is more than happy to do it, the sheer thought of knocking you up arousing him beyond words.
"Fuck me pregnant." You whisper. "I will. By Mahal, I will." Fili whispers. He lines himself up with your warm wet cunt. Your breath hitches in anticipation. You want him equally. "Fuck me." You whisper. You wrap your legs around his waist and draw him in. He breaches your core, pushing on at once. You moan loudly, in unison. Fili bottoms out, deep inside you. "So good." He whispers. "Yes, so very good." You agree. He hits all the right spots.
He sets a deep, slow pace, his forehead leaning against yours. Your breath mixes with his and so does the sweat on your skin.
"You are so warm and so soft." He grunts. "You are too." You whisper. Both your bodies are still sweet and tender from sleep. No outside air has yet touched your skin. It's perfect, so innocent, yet so passionate. It is such a pure form of love. "More, I want more of you." Fili rasps. "I am all yours." You whisper. "Fuck yeah." Fili picks up his speed. You wrap your arms around his middle, groping his arse and lower back. Fili grunts with joy, angling his hips so he hits that one particular spot inside you. You cry out for him.
"Put a child in me." You all but demand. Fili groans and swears in Khuzdul. You can feel his muscles becoming tense. He is ready to blow. "Do it." You run your fingers up his spine. Fili shudders under your every touch. You smirk and tug at one of his braids. "Fuck!" Fili groans. His pelvis stutters, but he is quick to recover. You smirk and tug him again. "Oh ... oh yes." He grunts. He takes a bit more to recover to his original pace.
You smirk and lean in to kiss at his throat. Fili shudders, his thrusts coming almost to a full stop. You feel him throb inside you. You know he is almost at the apex of his pleasure. You just need to push him a little more.
You nip at his jaw and Fili grunts. "D-don't." He rasps. "Why not?" You cooe innocently. "I ... I am too close." He replies. "I can feel that." You purr. Fili's ears turn red. He's always gotten a bit shy when you read him so well. But then again, his impending climax is hard to miss. You know his little tells and his large tells. The tension in his jaw as much as the unevenness in his thrusts. You read him like a book.
"Come on, do it." You whisper, your breath ghosting over his ear. Fili grunts, his pelvis shoving harshly against your. "No, not yet." He says pleadingly. "Yes, now. Give me your seed, so I may give you an heir." You urge him huskily. It is the undoing of him. His pelvis stutters against yours and he groans loudly. You feel how he comes to completion deep inside you. "Hmmm, my good Prince." You moan softly.
But then your breath hitches in your throat. He shoves his hand between your bodies and begins to rub your clit. You moan loudly for him. "Cum for me." Your husband rasps. "I w-will." You mutter. You are already on the edge of climax. You just need a little more.
Fili kisses you fiercely. His tongue thrusts into your mouth and at the same time he ups the pressure on your clit ever so slightly. It is just what you need. You moan deeply and all your muscles contract. Fili groans deep. "Good, good Princess." He growls.

Because I imagine this scenes of The Hobbit book with Elrohir and Elladan, you know, Elrond's twin sons. And it looks like this:
Elrohir: What brings Mister Baggins. Elladan: And Balin and Dwalin. O! tra-la-la-lally Elrohir: down into the valley. O! Tril-lil-lil-lolly. Elladan: in June, ha! Ha!
So they laughed and sang in the trees; and pretty fair nonsense.
âWell, well!â said Elrohir.
âJust look! Bilbo the hobbit on a pony, my dear! Isnât it delicious!â said Elladan.
Elrohir: âMost astonishing wonderful!â
âDonât dip your beard in the foam, father!â they cried to Thorin, who was bent almost on to his hands and knees. âIt is long enough without watering it.â
âMind Bilbo doesnât eat all the cakes!â they called. âHe is too fat to get through key-holes yet!â
âHush, hush! Good People! and good night!â said Gandalf, who came last. âValleys have ears, and some elves have over merry tongues. Good night!â And so at last they all came to the Last Homely House, and found its doors flung wide.
Bilbo would have liked to have a few private words with these people that seemed to know his names and all about him, although he had never seen them before. He thought their opinion of his adventure might be interesting. Elves know a lot and are wondrous folk for news, and know what is going on among the peoples of the land.
-The Hobbit Book - Chapter III, A Short Rest ⤴ď¸
P.s: They are silly, but are intelligent enough to know the visitors' names and that Bilbo is with them on a mission where he will have to enter through a lock, and they still don't know about the map, and the secret door. Which only proves that Elrond's sons are so much intelligent.
...And then, I imagine it's them singing this, in that scene on Bilbo's journey home, when he and Gandalf stop again in Rivendell:
"Sing all ye joyful, now sing all together! The windâs in the tree-top, the windâs in the heather; The stars are in blossom, the moon is in flower, And bright are the windows of Night in her tower. Dance all ye joyful, now dance all together!" (...) [Elrohir and Elladan sing the song].
âWell, Merry People!â said Bilbo looking out. âWhat time by the moon is this? Your lullaby would waken a drunken goblin! Yet I thank you.â
âAnd your snores would waken a stone dragonâyet we thank you,â they answered with laughter. âIt is drawing towards dawn, and you have slept now since the nightâs beginning. Tomorrow, perhaps, you will be cured of weariness.â
âA little sleep does a great cure in the house of Elrond,â said Bilbo; âbut I will take all the cure I can get. A second good night, fair friends!â And with that he went back to bed and slept till late morning.
-The Hobbit Book -Chapter XIX, The Last Stage ⤴ď¸
And so, in me headcanon, Bilbo kindly chose not to mention in his accounts when Elrond apologized to him about his children, with a certain guilty pleasure, because after all he loves his children and likes to see them happy. And Bilbo understands perfectly, because he also loves Elrohir and Elladan.
And somehow Bilbo thinks they look like Kili and Fili, and it brings tears to his eyes, and Elrond feels like he should be offended that his children are compared to dwarves, but in fact he is smiling kindly.
After Bilbo left Rivendell, Elrohir and Elladan fully told little Estel/Aragorn about him, who was eager to meet him ever since.
Years later, Elrond reads Bilbo's drafts about his adventure, and wonders if Bilbo left so much of his relationships out, just narrating and telling the basics, because it still hurt him to talk or write about it in more detail.
And anyway, everyone in Rivendell loves Bilbo, for reasons we will never know because Bilbo left out of his writings most of the lovelly dialogue and cute and greatest interactions he had with the elves (and also with Thorin's company).
Because it hurt him to put it on paper, or even talk about it, and that's why it took him years to write the most succinct and summarized book about his adventure.

25. Trying to seduce one another
Could you do this with kili x female reader where kili keeps trying to seduce reader but she finds his attempts absolutely hilarious and he is hopeless at it and he eventually gives up and she's like what we're you even trying to do and he's like seduce you if that wasn't obvious cue more laughing from reader but then she admits that his attempts were unnecessary because she's already in love him ?
Kili x F!Reader: The Art of Seduction...
(Hope this meets your idea. This was a sweet idea to mess with though this is new to me in a sense. LOL)
Kili still remembered the first time you met. He'd been having an argument of some sorts with his brother when he caught sight of you from across the training area causing him to become enthralled by your beauty. He remembered how Fili once he caught sight of you with a small groups of other girls walked over with him and pushed him forward causing him to blush.Â
-
Your initial impression was that he was possibly an idiot. Â A cute idiot. However, as time passed, you found yourself taking quite a liking to him. Â He was actually very thoughtful, brave, and dedicated to his duties, though he wouldn't openly admit it.
What you don't remember is when you finally realized you were in love with him. It seemed that one day you had simply woken up, gotten breakfast, and were waiting, when you found yourself desperately hoping that he'd drop by and visit you before he left with his brother to hunt. Â Then, you sort of had an epiphany and realized that you'd been feeling that way for weeks on end. Wasnât any wonder why? Â The man was absolutely charming, amusing, skilled with a blade and even more with a bow.
Too bad he never thought that was how you felt. He always seemed to be on edge around you or at least nervous but you never thought much about it until that day.
-
He'd been getting ready in his room, putting on his armor with the skill that heâd been building up for years, when he'd heard what sounded like someone knocking on the door but no words were said. Confused, he'd finished dressing and poked his head out, Startled, you'd backed up, when you watched him raise an arm to the doorway with a smile looking down at you and said hello in a deep voice. Instead though it came out a bit broken and awkward, You couldnât help but giggle and told him he should hurry to get some breakfast before going off for the hunt with his brother.
âSo...that was you big idea brother? Just to pose and say hey?â
âWell it works when Uncle Thorin does it...I thought maybe it would work on her.â
âThat trick only works for Uncle because of his voice. Your hopeless little brother. I donât see why you canât just tell her how you feel.â
âBecause I donât wanna mess it up Fili...If I were to tell her I would want it to be perfect. Besides she deserves to be wooed.â
Fili sighed as he focused preparing for the hunt. Kili though couldnât help but wonder what to try next when they returned but his mind was drawing a complete blank. Maybe he would do better by just asking you if you would be his. On the way to the gate Kili looked up to see you waiting. A sight he truly was always happy to see, a sight you could look at all his days. Both of them walked over to you seeing you read to join them and smiled as Fili noticed you with a pair of warm ale
âYou both needed something to warm you up before we head off for the afternoon.â
âWell, donât give this one too much he could never handle his drink.â Fili said smacking Kili on the back with a smile. Kili chuckled it off and looked at you.
âYou know Y/n there are more ways to stay warm...â He said taking a gulp of the ale and looked down offering the goblet back to you.
âYou could always keep me warm.â He said with a wink but you couldnât help but smile as Fili started laughing. Kili looked so confused as he watched you bring a hand to his mouth wiping off the foam mustache he gained from drinking the ale so fast. He was about to speak.
"Kili," someone said on the path out into the woods, looking ahead to see his uncle and Dwalin with their bows at their side with a doe flung on Dwalins back. Thorin seemed a bit puzzled and a bit irritated as he looked at both him and Fili. Â
"Fili," he said, sounding as though he were gently scolding them pair as if they were children,Â
"I thought I'd sent word for you two to scout out the wilds an hour ago.  What are you still doing here?  Surely not bothering y/n and distracting her from her own duties?"    They both shook their heads quickly, eyes flitting down and then back up to their uncle Â
"N-no!  Us?  Of course not! We were just . . . leaving and we were wishing each other good luck out there, you know?â Fili said quickly trying to hide the goblet of ale behind his back.Â
âIt's been awfully dangerous with all sorts of nasty goblins and orcs and what not. Â A little boost in morale never did anyone harm." Kili said smiling rubbing the back of his head. Â Â Thorin and Dwalin both watched the two to of them for a second in silence. Â "Right . . ." Thorin said, slowly drawing out the word, showing his clear skepticism. Â
"Well, I'm sure she appreciates it very much. Â Now, go do as I've told you, and let her finish getting ready." Â He then directed his attention to you.Â
"Y/n, head into the wilds to find any signs of survivors from past missions, undamaged supplies, and any more useful ingredients for the healers. Alright?"
"Yes, your highness" you said, nodding your head respectfully. Â Â Thorin nodded in return brining a gentle hand to your shoulder in respect, looking satisfied that at least one of his recruits was serious about their work. Â
"Good. Â Then I'll leave you to it." Â With that, he turned around, pausing to look at Kili and Fili in silence once more and seemed to get the hint and cleared his throat.
"R-right! Â I'll just be going on along now." Â But Kili turned to you, leaning in slightly close, and he found it difficult not to let a blush overtake him as he caught scent of your sweet fragrance. He wondered if youâd been using something new to wash with, it smelled of honey and ginger making him smile to himself.
âY/nâ he whispered urgently.  " Maybe you can meet me when you return later this evening behind the tumbled pillar up the stairs next to where the gardens are. Don't tell anyone we're meeting there.  Just say that you're tired and are feeling unwell and are going to return home,-â   "Kili!" Thorin exclaimed, causing him to flinch.   "Alright!  I'm going!  You don't have to sick anyone on me, look!  I'm walking away from the nice lady!" he said, putting up his hands as he backed away before turning and booking it as Fili sighed and smirked toward you at his brothers antics, leaving you to stare off after him in confusion and wonder.
- You had rounded a bend on the trail, around a thick copse of swamp trees and boulders, leaving you to hang back and survey the path behind you again for any signs of being followed.  You were still looking when you heard a snap of some branches ahead of you. When suddenly you heard a familiar voice from above. "Hey there, Y/n Nice weather we're having tonight, don't you think?"
"Oh yes, it's incredible. Â You should get a load of it from down here."
You couldnât help but smile as he jumped down from the few boulders and joined next to you. He simply smiled as you as brought your bow over your shoulder as you looked around.
âWhereâs Fili?â
âHe scouted a few deer nearby, seemed to be alright with me checking up on you.â
âWell luckily no worries on my end. Perhaps we should head back.â   On the walk back, Kili had taken up walking close beside you, and matched your pace.  He was silent now, and you found that surprising.  Normally he was a regular chatter box, but now he was quiet.  Glancing over at him you found his expression to be...nervous? Â
While you were distracted by your thoughts, you failed to notice him hesitantly reached out and put a hand on your upper arm. Â You looked to him, snapping out of your reverie, and blinked, perking up. Â "Hmm?" Â Â "Uh, Y/n? Â I...I need to tell you something," he sighed. Â Â "Oh?" Â You looked a bit nervously at him, brows furrowing. Â Was something wrong? Â Â "Yes," he murmured, and slowed, you too slowed your walk and tilted your head a bit. Â Â "Okay, well, what is it then?" Â Â He took a deep breath. Â "Right. Â What is it, indeed. Â Um, hh-" Â He took in a breath, a hand moving to the back of his head. Â "How...how do you say these things?" he wondered aloud. Â "Y/n" he said after a moment, shyly looking to you. Â You nodded, showing him that you were listening still. Â He blinked a few more times and took another breath. Â "Um, today...I...uh, actually, for awhile now, I . . . I've wanted to tell you . . . something. Â Something important." He said as he took one of your hands in his and gently squeezed it. "Yeah?" "Yeah. Â You see, I...â
Suddenly the ground began to shake as you both saw that a large herd of deer charged past the two of you and caused you both to hide behind one of the bigger oak trees causing both of you to catch your breath. You both saw and heard Fili running past both of you yelling out to both of you shooting after one of the deer's.
âSorry about that guys...Didnât mean to interrupt.â
You looked up at him once the herd had passed by and looked up at him to see that he had covered you with his body in a protective stance.
âY/n...Are you alright.â
You nodded as you noticed all the loose leaves on him had gotten stuck in his hair. He looked down at you and saw you smiling for a moment before laughing hard at the sight and sighed as he brought a hand up to hair in slight annoyance.
âOh for Mahals sake I give up.â Shaking off the leaves from his hair. As he groaned to himself crossing his arms.
âWait...wait Kili. Iâm sorry I didnât mean to laugh. What were you trying to do?â
âSeduce you Y/n. Iâve been trying for days now but you never seem to catch on...I mean all I wanted to do was to show how much I love you.â
You were completely speechless. Â You almost couldn't process anything that you just heard--it was all too good to be true! Â This man, this wonderful, amazing, god of a man actually felt for you the way you felt for him. Kili seemed to be put off by your silent awe, and winced a little. Â
"I... said something wrong, didn't I?"  He sighed, looking cross with himself.  "I am so stupid. What right have I to honestly believe that someone like you would actually feel anything for someone like me?"   He started to turn away when, before you could think about what you were doing, you grabbed his arm and pulled him toward you.  His eyes went wide and he was about to ask what you were doing, when you surprised the both of you by kissing him on the lips.  He went rigid, turning brighter red than before, now matching your own blazing blush, and slowly let his eyes close.  Tilting his head, he put a hand behind your neck, keeping you close to him as you both shared a delightful moment of blissful affection.   When you both broke the kiss for air, you found him gazing into your eyes softly, smiling gently. Â
"Y/n. Â How long have you been wanting to do that?"
You laughed breathlessly. Â "Probably as long as you."
He chuckled back, You glanced up at him again, and found him gazing back at you, eyes half-lidded. Â
"Y/n/ I suppose I'm right to assume that you . . . " Â Â "That I feel the same? Â Yes. You are." Â You grinned, voice lowered. Â "I love you, Kili. I always have.
He smiled as he brought his forehead to yours taking a deep breath as you looked up at him and asked.
âI guess none of the failed seductions were really required huh? â You said with a smirk
"Yes," he admitted, embarrassed.  "And only now have I realized how stupid that was of me.â
You were overtaken by another fit of laughter and shook your head. You started to walk away from him and turned around and smiled
"You adorable, handsome fool." you said winking to him as you walked ahead.   "Hey." he called from behind you.  "You're leaving out ruggedly good-looking and luckier than every other dwarf alive to be loved by you!" he said running after you as you laughed as he followed after you into the sunset. Into another day together.Â

Azog the Defiler x OC: In which Gandalf learns that Orcs can love
Title: In which Gandalf learns that Orcs can love

Fandom: The Hobbit movie trilogy
Summary: In this tale we follow the Companionship of Dwarves on a dual mission: reach and reclaim Erebor, and maybe rescue a friend they made in Laketown. The last quest leads to more hardship than expected, as Azog has his sights set firmly on the human, and isn't planning to let the Dwarves take her from him.
Warnings: rape/non-con, Azog is his own warning honestly, character death, non-consensual voyeurism, corruption, (mild) rape aftermath, language barrier.
Wordcount: 2147

"She should be around here, somewhere," called Fili from over his shoulder, scouting ahead through the thick growth of the forest. It was a forest so thick, only little of the late afternoon sun reached through the trees. Thorin, Kili, Bilbo and Gandalf followed him. They were tired, especially now that their end goal seemed so close, yet so far away. After leaving Laketown, the kind friend of Bard, who sheltered them, followed them with provisions and weapons. That was a week ago. Immediately after she found the companionship of dwarves, they were ambushed by Azog's hunting party, and she was taken.
After five days of captivity, it was Bilbo, with Dwalin and Thorin, who rescued her from the orc camp as they all slept. She wasn't as grateful as they expected however, frightened beyond words. Her fear remained with her, even though she was safely away from the man-eating orcs.
"You don't get it," she said, keeping her voice hushed even while hours away from the site they rescued her from, "he will find me and it will be worse. You've put yourself in danger, too."
The dwarves waved her concerns away, but it gave Bilbo pause. Something felt off. Why would the orcs come for her? They were hunting the dwarves already. Despite his feeling of unease, their journey continued.
Balin convinced her, with his gentle reasoning, to come with them, and not head back: "We are less than four days march away from Erebor. Once we are there, you'll be safe inside. No orc could enter the mountain and live. Laketown is at least a week from here, on horseback. Don't be stupid and get yourself killed trying to go back."
Hope shone in her eyes at his words, a fearful hope. It was decided; she would come with them. Evening fell, and they set up camp. Hadewych remained withdrawn. As they wound down after their meal, which finally got some life back in her face, Gandalf took up his pouch of pipeweed, lighting his pipe. They sat, gathered in a circle around the fire, flames making their shadows dance.
"Hadewych, what happened to you out there?" asked Fili. None had dared ask before, as her panicked state had been enough of an answer. Kili, who sat next to her, moved her braid aside and gestured at the large bitemark on the side of her neck.
"It looked like they tried to eat you," Kili said, sounding somewhat impressed, his tone light. Hadewych slapped his hand away.
"It's beyond you," was all she said.
Gandalf took the pipe out of his mouth, and agreed with her. "Let the poor woman have her rest. We're not there yet. I have a feeling the worst is yet to come."
Later, when just Bilbo and Gandalf remained, unable to sleep, keep watch, did Bilbo dare to ask the wizard more.
"The orcs, they..." he started, clearing his throat awkwardly. "Why did they let Hadewych live? They would've slaughtered any of us as soon as they had the chance."
Gandalf, old eyes peering from beneath his wizard's hat, replied: "Hmm, it is certainly curious. I suspect weâll find out soon enough, although I fear it won't be pleasant."
After a short silence, as the moon's rays illuminated the rocky landscape, he continued. "There isn't much we know about orc culture. So far, Azog has proven to be at the top of his tribe, with not just bloodlust, but also a great strategic mind. He's smart, Bilbo, that's what makes him more dangerous than most."
"You're saying he took her for a strategic purpose? But what on earth could that be?"
Gandalf shrugged, movements slow. "You should get some sleep. Tomorrow is a new day."
In the morning as they set out on their journey, Hadewych found Gandalf and fell into step next to him.
"Gandalf," Hadewych started, uncertainty in her voice, unsure of how to ask what she had on her mind.
"Yes, my dear, what is it?"
"Do you know Black Speech?"
"What a curious question. I do understand it, yes. It is a vile language, created by Sauron and I prefer not speaking it."
"I understand if it's too much to ask, but could you maybe teach me? Every little bit would be a great help."
Gandalf halted and turned to her. His eyes bore into her soul and she sensed that he knew and understood a great deal more than any of the companions, more than even the wizard let on. "There may be a way to teach you that will help you more than simply translating words. You've tried it already, haven't you? To let the pale orc teach you."
Unsure, but aware that lies were useless, she nodded. "All I've managed to parse out are a few different words, and that's hardly enough to understand what they say. The dwarves may think I'm safe now, but they don't understand." She adjusted her cloak and hugged it around her. "It's only a matter of time before I'm surrounded by orcs again, and I need to know what they say - to know what is coming."
The wizard hummed. "I see." He paused and regarded her for a long moment. The companions walked on ahead, but it was no matter. They could catch up with ease, if needed. Then he nodded and grabbed his staff. "Then we shall see what we can do."
Another day passed, and Gandalf allowed Hadewych to learn and practice Black Speech. She had little trouble with it, aside from the grammar. During the second morning, she felt a bit more at ease and her normal self returned, and she joked with the dwarves the same as she did while they were in Laketown. Bilbo still eyed her warily - to him, the mystery of her behaviour was not yet solved.
Once they got going, the terrain opened up in front of them, and it gained in height. It would truly only be three more days until they reached their beloved mountain. The hunting party ambushed them from the side, driving them back with a cliff at their side. It was the worst possible road to be ambushed on, and even though Thorin sent Fili and Kili ahead as scouts, they hadn't seen nor heard a thing. Thorin barely escaped with his life. Hadewych wasn't so lucky, as she was slung over their leader's shoulder, defenceless without the weapons or skill the dwarves had. The dwarves hid in the mountains, and the hunting party took off just as swiftly as they came, disappearing into a thick forest, taking Hadewych with them.
Evening fell. The dwarves licked their wounds and regrouped properly that night, and discussed what they could do. Many seemed in favour of continuing their original quest, and not taking the risk of going after the hunting party.
"Is Hadewych not also one of our own?" argued Bilbo. "She went through the trouble to bring us the weapons and provisions, without her we would've been defenceless."
"That's just how it goes, laddie," said Dwalin. "She knew the risks when coming with us."
Bilbo, outraged, looked to the others.
Balin answered. "Aye... But we've been the ones who convinced her not to go back to Laketown. That Erebor would be safer."
"No way she could've reached Laketown on her own anyway," said Gloin, his voice rumbling.
"Perhaps, but a group is easier to track than a woman alone."
"We failed to protect her," agreed Kili. "We can look for her, just a few of us. The rest heads on to the mountain. With just a few, we wonât be easily noticed."
And so it was that now the few of them who went to track the hunting party down; Gandalf and Bilbo came with, out of concern, Thorin and his cousins Fili and Kili; laid low in a bed of ferns, hidden behind bushes and trees, looking on as the orcs set up camp for the night. The pale orc towered over them all. He fed his warg and pet her fur, Hadewych close at his side, one hand in the warg's fur just like him. Kili wanted to creep closer, but was stopped by Thorin.
"So this is why she wanted to learn Black Speech," said Gandalf, which the dwarves paid little mind to. Bilbo looked at his wizard friend with curious eyes. They exchanged looks, and with his voice soft, Gandalf pointed at the scene. "They seem to be talking."
"He's laughing," said Bilbo, surprised. "Gandalf, don't tell me they've become friends."
They watched as Azog lead Hadewych to the campfire, a firm hand on her upper arm. Once seated, keeping her close to him, although it was difficult for them to see, he reached for the grilled meat, steaming in the cold evening air, and took a large bite out of it. The orcs dug in similarly, feeding on what was probably small game they've hunted, or dried food they took with them. Then the pale orc did something Bilbo nor the wizard saw coming. With the dead animal speared on his hooked hand, he plucked off bits of tender meat, and fed them to Hadewych. After letting her eat it right from his hand, he licked off his fingers.
"I'd say she's still deadly afraid of him, not to speak of the other orcs around. Wouldn't you agree?"
"But an orc wouldn't hear reason! Do you really think she talked him into letting her live?"
"That seems... unlikely," said Gandalf, his voice falling grim.
Thorin decided to wait until night fell and everyone was asleep to attack, so they did. The orcs laid down to sleep not long after, leaving just two who kept watch awake, as well as the pale orc and Hadewych. When they got up to rest, they did so on the other side of the mighty white warg, and Hadewych pet her fur as Azog gathered the blanket and mat from a nearby pack. When he spoke to her, his voice was low, unexpected of an orc to speak so gently. The dwarves spread out, trying to scout out the area more now that they had less eyes on them and less ears to listen. Bilbo stayed with Gandalf, leaned against a tree, waiting for the others to regroup. Their friend and her captor had now finally laid down and all was quiet.
"It's taking so long," complained Kili. "When will they go to sleep already."
"Patience," bid Thorin, reigning his cousin in.
They regrouped at their spot, Thorin directed everyone to their positions. When Bilbo glanced over at the sleeping forms of his friend and her captor, he found a rather odd sight. It wasn't immediately clear what he was looking at, as Azog hovered above the ground, facing down, and moved his body rhythmically. Not like someone who is sleeping. Not like someone turning around in their sleep. Bilbo grabbed Thorin by the arm, wordless, and pointed. Then, staring hard through the ferns, he they saw Azog sit straighter up and pulled a leg - a human leg - to his side, changing the angle of his hips. Then his movements made sense. Hadewych laid underneath him, and he moved his hips, grinning sadistically down at her, low rumbles spilling from his throat as he fucked her.
The dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf looked on, forgetting their cover, and stared at the scene in front of them with mouths open in shock. Kili pulled Thorin aside.
"I'm not risking my life for that," he said harshly, voice a little louder than it should've been in the quiet of the night.
Gandalf opened his mouth to say something, but refrained from interfering.
"What is happening, Gandalf, why is this happening?" asked Bilbo, who didn't want to look on, but couldn't tear his eyes away for longer than a second. The pale orc leaned down again, over his captive, and said something to her. The rasp of the Black Speech sounded almost doting. As the dwarves tried to figure out what to do - leave or attack - Gandalf observed the scene and thought of how to answer the hobbit. As he did, the orc snarled, and grabbed his captive close, ripped the fabric away from her shoulder, and bit down.
"It is what it looks like, my friend; Azog has claimed a mate."
Unfortunately for the unobservant dwarves, the pale orc had a short recovery time, and was on his feet within the minute. Quiet as a panther he moved through the thicket. He called out to Thorin, voice loud enough to wake the rest of the hunting party, and the dwarves were outnumbered quick. Hadewych looked on from the sidelines, leaning her back against the white warg, face in her hands, trying to ignore the screams of pain and sorrow as the line of Durin ended before her eyes.

your fic "Kairos" is one of the things that keeps me alive in a quite depressing part of my life and I just want to thank you for such dedication on it because so far it has been *chef's kiss*.
i love how the characters interact and the fact that in the latest chapter Thorin, Dis, Kili, Fili and Bilbo appeared was a pleasant surprise. I genuinely wish for a bond such as the one you created between Bard and Thranduil, although it may be rocky at times (like when Bard told Thandruil about the house being haunted and eating the Bowmans), it's clear as day that they love eachother. I like the side characters (Percy and David) as well, and I was a bit surprised at the bond that Percy has with Bard, but it was well met and I'd love to get more glimpses of Percy and David's relationship, if you would do short fics on the side (no pressure here, you do as you see fit).
Anyways, thank you for writing this incredible fic that made me feel the entire emotion spectrum. I was wondering especially if you could tell us more about ... lemme think... a lot of the questions I want answered are most likely spoilers, so it's ok if you don't want to answer them :
how big of a role do Thorin and the others play in the fic?
could you describe Rirosseth and how she would feel about this whole "haunted house" thing if she was alive?
are the thorned (black?) vine and the house linked in any way?
how much paranormal activity (things involving the house and the ghosts inside) should we expect from future chapters?
Thank you once again for writing this fic that I love with my whole being. I wish you have both sides of the pillow cold and the Mystical Writing Inspiration Gnome always near you.
âĄ
I want to start by thanking you for this ask! These are the kind of things that absolutely make a writer's week to receive, and it means a lot that you took the time to share your thoughts like this. Some of these questions will be answered later in the story, and some will be answered a little bit by Chapter 24, which was posted just a few moments ago, but I can answer some of the others in a bit more detail:
If Rirosseth were alive, I think she'd approach the house with an open mind. She's more apt to think outside the box than Thranduil is, and if he described what he was seeing to her, she'd have responded quickly. I don't think she'd have been as nice to the fake ghost hunters as he was, though.
The level of paranormality in the story is likely to increase.
I haven't considered writing short fics in this AU before, but that's mainly because I never planned to post it It's definitely something I'm interested in exploring once the story's progressed a little further.
Beyond that, I'm so honored to hear that the story means so much to you! It means a quite a lot to me as well, and the fear with sharing those kinds of stories is that I'll be the only one who feels that way. Asks like this, which remind me that I'm not alone with the story anymore, really mean the world to me! I hope that you also have a cold pillow when you need it and warm blankets when you need them, and that you've been all right since you sent this! I'm terrible at answering asks, but it's in the service of giving them the sort of answers they deserve.

Hey! Since you said, you don't get many asks, do you mind if I send you another one? I'd like to know, who are your three favourite characters and why :) (though obviously no stress, since asks are supposed to be fun)
When I read this I was like EASY! Then I got thinking and now Iâm like wait who really are my three favorite characters?
1. Fili. Obviously, easy, always number one haha. From the first time I saw AUJ (a year ago, I know Iâm behind lol) Fili was the one that stood out to me instantly! It was pretty much from the first introduction I was like yep, heâs hot heâs my new fave. Then the more I watched the movies, read the book and watched all those hours of behind the scenes I really started to like Fili for more than just looks. Iâm the oldest and so watching him with Kili and seeing how they interact together, how protective he is, and how loyal he is, it reminds me of how I am towards my sisters. Heâs so funny also, the (limited very limited) lines he has always make me laugh, depending on what heâs doing. Not all of his lines make me laugh, when heâs serious I take him seriously. And his facial expressions! Give it up for DeanO and his amazing acting! Filiâs facial expressions are so spot on. I love how you can see a playfulness in him but itâs like heâs holding back because of the seriousness of the journey and what it means for them. His speech to Thorin in lake town, freaking breaks my heart. You can just tell how much this means to him, how much his sick brother means to him and how he can see that Thorin is getting harder to reach and then when he makes it to Erebor and sees the gold sickness, itâs like a punch in the gut to him but Fili doesnât back down and stays loyal and true to his uncle and fellow dwarves. He is someone who will sacrifice to help others, in the book he cuts off his beard to help saved the other dwarves in Mirkwood. And we know how precious facial hair is to dwarves, that mustâve been like shit I donât want to but I will to help save the others. I so wish we had more Fili content but Iâm glad we have what we do. Oh and let me not forget the absolutely gut wrenching final scenes of him. HE KNOWS those orcs are there and yet he tells Kili that heâs got this and sacrifices himself to save his brother. Heâs also such a badass fighter! His million daggers all over, that scene in Mirkwood is my favorite! His double swords and then using a bow at the end! What canât he fight with? Fili will always be number one
2. Anders, Bragi. Gosh I freaking obsessed with Anders freaking Johnson (from the almighty johnsonâs). Yes partly the reason I like him so much is because of DeanO but he plays him so well!! Anders is such a little asshole at times but how can you not love him? It wasnât until my second rewatch of TAJ when I really paid attention to Anders and his character and not just DeanO. One thing that I really like about Anders are his cheeky comments to everyone, they are hilarious! Always spot on! I feel so bad for him also for how his family treats him. Yeah Ty and Axl are nice to him but I feel like Mike influences them and everyone else to see the negative in Anders, which isnât fare. No matter what his family does or says to him heâs still so loyal to them and I love that about Anders. He could totally ditch them and do his own thing but he doesnât and still sticks up for them. And his friendship with Dawn is my favorite. He can be a dick to her but you can tell how much he really cares for her. When he uses his Bragi powers, shooting fall so fast lol. Yeah thereâs times when I donât condone what he uses his powers for and there are times when I think it was smart for him to use them. I also love that all the filming locations for taj are in the north island because thatâs where Iâll be on my vacation and Iâve already found some filming locations to visit haha
3. Kili. I know I know I have his brother but I love Kili also! I just love how heâs the fun reckless brother. He has fun, finds love, and is also so loyal to his family and fellow dwarves at the same time. I canât imagine how much pressure heâs under (and his brother) for being next in line for the throne after his brother and knowing how important their journey. Like the troll scene where him and Fili are in charge of the ponies but they get taken and heâs the first one to step up for Bilbo when the trolls get him. His attempt at hitting on the elves in Rivendell, so iconic. Him stepping up in Mirkwood to open the gate for them to escape and getting hit with an arrow. His tear jerker standing up to Thorin speech before they go to battle. Heâs so freaking badass with a bow, like yes please I could watch you all day use it! Even when he was sick in lake town and helping out. Stubborn and loyal to a fault! Just like Fili, the lines he has and his facial expressions are spot on. And letâs not forget how Thorin only says his name throughout the movies haha. Like trust me, I donât think we could forget who Filiâs brother is. Kili is just so freaking adorable! I love him so much
So I kinda rambled and just went crazy writing this. Iâve been working on this for a few days now and I keep coming back being like âoh my gosh I canât believe I forgot to add this!â But number 2 and 3 can switch, I think I like Anders and Kili equally the same
#gosh I could keep writing about Fili lol#I had to stop cause it was getting so long#thank you for this!#it was so fun to think about why I like each character

Sarò il fuoco ed il freddo
Riparo d'inverno

Soltanto un sorriso
Ogni tua piccola lacrima è oceano sopra al mio viso
E in cambio non chiedo niente
Solo un po' di tempo
Sarò vessillo, scudo
O la tua spada d'argento
translation:
(I'll be the fire and the cold
A winter shelter
I'll be what you breathe
I'll understand what you hold inside
And I'll be the water you drink
The meaning of good
I'll even be a soldier
Or a light in the evening
I ask for nothing in return
Just a smile
Every little tear of yours is an ocean on my face
And I ask for nothing in return
Just a little time
I'll be a battle banner, a shield
Or your silver sword)
Sirius
specific parts translation:
I hear a thousand voices speaking, but I don't hear what they're saying
I look in the mirror and I imagine to be in a circus
On a merry-go-round of happiness and I don't want to get off of it
Even if I'm not having fun anymore
Sometimes I feel like a miracle and sometimes ridiculous
Then I lose my mind in a second, but don't go tell it around
I'm out of myself
............
I've been preparing my waltz with the devil
Since I was a child
You can call me crazy, bastard, insane
I'll toast over it with wine
Iâm only 20 Therefore donât be surprised if I make drama from nothing Iâm afraid of leaving only money to the world For my name to disappear between those of all the others But Iâm only 20 And I already ask forgiveness for the mistakes that I committed But the road is tougher when youâre aiming for the sky So choose the things that are really important Choose love or diamonds Demons or saints

Prompt: "Laying a gentle kiss to the back of the otherâs hand"
Fili x reader
If your still accepting these pls đđđ
The dance only our heart knows
Pairing: FĂli x Reader
Words: 1 482
It was a big day of celebration today, for it was Durin's day and fifth annivensary of reclaming the Lonely Mountain. And since both days happened to be the same and we are talking about dwarves here, it went without saying they'd threw a big party. Almost everyone had a day off from work, including you. You were clad for being able to work in the mountain and not to return back on living on the road, where you had lived before Gandalf had asked you to assist him and the group of dwarves and a hobbit on journey to reclaim a mountain from a dragon.
And since you still hadn't believed in dragons even after living in Middle Earh for a few years, you decided to tack along, just to proof Gandalf wrong and silly old man. Even this day he still was a silly old man in your eyes, but now you believed that dragons did exists. Along with other horrifying creatures.
You were sitting on a table near royal table, slowly drinking your ale, enjoying the music and the dancers on the middle of the room. You were smiling a little as you spotted Bombur with his daughter Tumli on the dancefloor. Tumli wasn't old, so it went without saying that her dancing skills weren't the best ones. But still, she and her father had a good time.
While you were enjoying your view of the danfloor, someone else had their eyes on you.
FĂli was leaning to back rest of his chair as he looked at you, only hearing half of what his mother and uncle were talking about. He smiled a little as he saw your smile turning even bigger. He could feel his heart expanding with joy just for the sight of you smiling and knowing you were happy. The music stopped and FĂli turned towards the dance floor, watching as dwarves returned to their seats, went to get more food or ale or another dance partner, or simply staying still to dance with their current partner.
Then FĂli turned his eyes back to you and smiled as he noted your longing look. He knew you hadn't been dancing this evening, nor had anyone asked you to dance. So, FĂli downed his ale and got up. For who would be a better dance partner for the first dance of the evening if not crown prince himself?
"Excusme, m'lady" FĂli said as he bend closer to you. You look up at him in surprise, not having heard him coming closer to you. Without giving you any time responce, he continued, "Would you grant me the next dance?" You felt yourself blush a little and you looked down, shyly. You had no idea how to dance, which was why you had sat a bit further from the dance floor so no one wouldn't bother to ask you. But now you were asked by a crown prince himself!
"I... don't know ho to dance" you said as the music started, but FĂli only laughed and pulled you up, not caring of your protests. He walked you to the dance floor and dwarves around you looked the two of you, giving you way to dance literally middle of the dance floor. You wanted glare FĂli, but decided to hold it instead. It would be bad enough that you would be stepping on his shoes.
"This hand goes here..." FĂli adviced as he quided your left hand to his shoulder and then he wrapped his arm around your weist. Then he took your hand in his and got a bit closer to you. His hand was rough, yet you didn't mind. And he was so warm. You felt your breath leave as your eyes glued to FĂli's. You two were about same height, you noted. Before you two started to dance, FĂli leaned closer to you and whispered to your ear, "Just let me guide you. You'll see, this is easy" And then he started to move, his hand on your waist guiding you by pressin gently on to you or almost letting go of you. Even if your steps were far from correct, you still enjoyed this. Somewhat.
As FĂli swinged you suddenly, pressing you close to him, a big and happy smile gragged on your lips, lighting up your face. You did enjoy this! And even FĂli started to smile more. He watched you closely, your every facial expression from a frown to shy look around you two as the dwarves around you danced, laughed and sent looks to your way, to finally have a bright smile. And he felt his own heart grow, how it exuded warmth that flooded around his body, making him more aware of being alive than ever before. And he sighed. If this was love, he'd gladly have it.
"Maybe I was born to hold you in these arms" FĂli whispered to your ear, causing you to shiver. He whispered this to you as if he was drunk, but you knew he hadn't been drinking that much to be actually drunk. His little brother had had downed dosens of pints and was about as loud and cheerfull as he usually was, his words still understandable and his walk as steady as any. So, FĂli and his four pint's hadn't gotten him drunk.
But, maybe it was something else that was causing him to say this to you? Maybe he had had a reason to ask you to dance with him...? Dancing had an important role in dwarven culture, you remembered GlĂłin once mentioning this.
"FĂli..." you whispered as he pressed his forhead against yours. A small smile grew on your lips as you saw his shining blue eyes and the whistfull smile he had. You felt giddy all of a sudden. Did he...? Did he...?
"You are like the most beautiful song I cannot get out of my head" he continued to whisper, making you shiver again. Your mouth was getting dry, and it had nothing to with dancing. You had had no idea he could be this sweet and overly romantic. And it felt a little weird to hear him say these, especially to you. But it still made you feel warm.
"Your eyes are like warm grass in the early summer on a sunny day" he continued breathlesly. You felt like you were glowing. The fact that might FĂli love you had your feelings for him rise even more.
"And yours are like clear sky on the very same summery day, when there are no cloud's on the sky and when the sun is warming us to the very heart" you whispered him back. You felt like you had to say something, but since you weren't sure if he actualy felt something for you, you decided to try with these sweet nothing's he had been gifting for you. FĂli sighed and pressed his forhead against yours, closing his eyes and as the music stopped, so did you two.
A loud clapping brought you two back to reality as you stared at each other for a second before taking a step back, FĂli bowing to you and you curtseying him, still holding eachothers hands. As you rose, you felt still giddy and warm and good. Your heart swelled again, when FĂli took your hand in both of his, stepped a little closer to you a pressed his lips against the back of your hand. Had this been a cartoon or an anime, your heart would have had shot right out of your chest to all to see and your eyes taking a shape of hearts as you'd faint to the floor from this small affection. But, instead, you felt like your heart started to beat faster, how your cheek's turning bright pink and a small, shy smile grew on your lips. You pressed your head a little down as you watched him kiss your hand for a few seconds longer. When FĂli finally stopped and straightened up, you smiled to him lovingly. You had never felt like this before.
The next song started and FĂli invited you to dance with him again with a small smile. You nodded and took a step in front of him, putting your hand over his shoulder as he put his on your waist, and you walzed to the next song, the world around you forgotten.
"(Y/n), after this song, would you let me braid your hair?" FĂli asked shyly. You saw this question had been hard to ask, and how much courage it had taken him to ask it. And you also understood what this actually meant. He did love you. He wanted to court you, have you as his other half. FĂli loved you as you loved him.
"Yes" you breathed out and smiled, presing your head against his shoulder. "I love you, mon amour"

Hello, I saw your post about taking hobbit requests and I was wondering if you would mind writing something from the perspective of a dragon?
I love dragons and there aren't really a whole lot of things to read with one as the protagonist.
So maybe just something about a dragon helping the company on their quest?
It may be a little cliche but I also like the reincarnation trope so do with that what you will, incase you want to write something about this c:
Omg, first request! Thank you so much :D I love this and I have a few ideas in mind.
(quick disclaimer that English is not my first language. If you spot any mistakes, typos, etc... please let me know)
This is really poorly written and towards the end I started running out of ideas but I do hope you like it :) Any criticism/tips are well appreciated!!
The Company of Thorin Oakenshield with a dragon companion:
Okay, so starting with the fact that the dwarves do not like dragons, it would be doubtful that they would want/allow one on the team, and if they did, it was probably due to Gandalf convincing them, especially Thorin, that the dragon could be useful.
While travelling, they would all be very cautious around it, although I think the amount of cautiousness would also depend on the size of the dragon. They wouldn't be as wary and scared with a smaller dragon as they would with a large one/fully grown one.
Once they eventually warm up to the dragon, they will treat it like an overgrown dog. Thorin would be the last one to warm up, that is *if* he warms up.
Listen, while I know this is the furthest thing from what Thorin would do, I canât get the idea of him being the ââI'm not a cat (dragon) person, I don't like themââ but then becoming best friends with that very same cat (dragon). However, for that to happen, the dragon would truly have to prove itself to him.
Once they reclaim Erebor (and everyone survives), Thorin would probably have a special room that has an easy exit for the dragon.
The first to take a liking to the dragon would probably be Bilbo, following Gandalfâs judgement.
Fili and Kili would try to stay strong and not give in to the curiosity and amazement of such a creature being peaceful with them, trying to be like their dear uncle. They crack soon enough and start playing with it.
I feel like Balin would also be quite quick to warm up to the dragon once he notices that it poses no threat to the company.
Moving on to travelling with the dragon
They could ride it, yes, but then again, it would depend on the size.
I feel like they wonât use it to fly over to the lonely mountain as they do know it would bring more harm than good
They would still use it to carry their stuff tho.
Sneaking the dragon around in the woods was easier, but once they got to Lake Town there was quite a problem.
I doubt theyâd bring it to the actual town, but maybe theyâd send it off to come to the mountain from the other side.
The dragon would still need to use the main gate (front gate??). Again, it would depend on the size, in my mind, the dragon is about the same size as Smaug or maybe a bit bigger.
Now when it comes to the fight with Smaug, the companyâs dragon would most likely have a dilemma
On one hand, it wouldnât want to fight its kin, but then again, the dwarves did trust it for so long.
The dragon would probably fight with Smaug, but the people of Lake Town would be set on killing off both
I donât have that many ideas as to what would happen between the companyâs dragon and Smaug, nor do I have ideas for what would happen during the battle of five armies.
I do believe that if the dragon survived the fight with Smaug and Lake Town it would stay with the dwarves until the very end
Other than that, I can't think of anything else, but I might add a few if I remember anything new
