(gaymeatcore) how aware do you think other characters were of Chujins treatment of his family? like ceroba sort of covers it up but do you think Starlo for example could tell him hiding so much was bothering her? That she felt a bit unloved? I think if he did he'd be so hyped for her if they divorced like he doesn't even mind if he's not the one who gets to be her new partner so long as she gets someone who loves her like she deserves. I just want to see her get what she deserved why would he do all that why did he not trust and adore her....Her unhealthy devotion is just so sad because she gets barely anything in return. like sure he gives her some stuff (most of it material) but he can't even tell her he loves her on his deathbed....
You may not like my answer, but I'd say that others aren't very aware of how Chujin treats his family.
The thing is, not even Ceroba is aware of how taken advantage of she is. She still follows through with Chujin's plan despite how much she personally doesn't want to go through with it/the amount of stress it's added onto her life. She still sees him as flawless and perfect despite all the evidence otherwise. She was wholly content with the life that she made for herself; she CHOSE to become a housewife and the breadwinner of the family so Chujin can keep doing the things that he wanted to. So it's really hard to tell how bad the familial situation is if the person/people most affected by it aren't even aware of how bad it is. Blind admiration and devotion is one hell of a drug.
The closest I can see Ceroba comes to realizing how bad her situation is (in a canon-conforming way) is her coming home from a very bad shift at Cafe Dune; it's one of those days where your feet hurt and you're in a bad mood and once you lay down, you know you won't want to get back up again, and as she's changing out her work clothes she thinks to herself "I miss when Chujin was working at the Steamworks and I didn't have to do all this." But then Kanako asks what's for dinner or Chujin comes home or something happens and she has to pull herself together because her family needs her and Chujin is doing good things for the Underground, she shouldn't complain. She's strong, she's independent, she's mature, she's capable, she's an adult. She can handle it! So if Ceroba isn't all that aware, I can't see others being aware either.
Plus, the Ketsukanes are already pretty private people: their estate is locked behind an ornate gate, Chujin has his whole "hiding my basement study/SOUL experiments/Axis/the reason why I got fired from the Steamworks from my wife" thing going on, nobody else knows about Kanako's Falling Down besides Starlo and the Feisty Four (though I imagine what happened was that Ceroba told Starlo and Starlo told the Feisty Four instead of her telling all of them at once, and even then none of them knew the specifics), nobody knew about the plans that Ceroba had for Clover until the Five were cleaning out her house. And I can go on. The Ketsukanes have a good reputation among the Dunes residents, you can most directly see that with the rock-monster in Oasis Valley that stands next to the oasis after Clover explores their estate. They call the Ketsukanes something along the lines of "Good folks." So I can't see others being all that aware of the dynamic that's happening behind closed doors.
But let's hone in on a few key characters:
Martlet never even saw Chujin's house, so she wouldn't know much about what's going on in her mentor's domestic life. She calls Ceroba an acquaintance, which means they've likely only really met each other a handful of times. Martlet really admires/looks up to Chujin and sees him as a guiding figure in her life and that image only sours when she sees the tapes. If she knew what his home life was like and all the specifics, that would've changed her perspective on him a lot sooner.
Dina doesn't even know that Kanako fell down, so she wouldn't know anything too personal about Ceroba's life. Chujin also only came by Dina's Saloon once, and that was when he came to drink because he "saw a ghost" so she doesn't know him all that well either.
As I stated earlier with the Feisty Four, I feel like the only reason why they knew that Kanako fell down was because Starlo broke the news to them. They are entitled to know why Ceroba is bunking with them for weeks on end all of a sudden but I can't see Ceroba telling them because she isn't part of the posse. Starlo also probably roped them into helping cheer her up by going along with more of his antics (to a limit, of course).
And Starlo. I don't see Starlo knowing what exactly is happening. He's not going to go snooping around into her life and her circumstances for a myriad of reasons: He is busy running the Wild East. Ceroba seems content with her life so why go looking into her business if everything looks fine on the surface? Whether he got over his feelings or not, it's still weird to look into his (former?) crush's love life. He's the sort to need things spelled out more directly in order to understand what's going on. And I don't think he understands how deeply and unhealthily her devotion to Chujin runs. Sure, he might find it a bit odd that Ceroba is working and taking care of the house and Kanako, but he also knows Ceroba wouldn't take shit from other people. So if she's not complaining about her circumstances then this must be something that she and Chujin worked out together. It's not his business. The least he can do for her is let her unwind whenever she swings by the Wild East and entertain Kanako so she can get a break from what he would probably see as the usual stresses of motherhood (this likely helped Ceroba far more than she realizes). Also, Starlo does have some respect for Chujin despite not liking him as a person. In post-Pacifist, when Ceroba comes out with what happened and what Chujin put her up to, I can see Starlo admonishing himself for not realizing how bad their relationship was sooner and would lose that respect for Chujin (even if Ceroba is still at a point where she sees Chujin as perfect). Hindsight is 20/20 after all.
Now, if Ceroba started to realize how much her life sucks and the cracks showed earlier, of course he'd pull her aside and try to sort out what's going on and see if he can help. He'd support her in any path that she chooses for herself, whether it be couple's counseling (massive doubt) or divorce (yeah, that's what would happen). Starlo isn't a petty person and respects Ceroba so when that divorce inevitably happens, he might be like "You lost your chance with a wonderful person" to Chujin, not "Ha, you lost your wife!!! Lmao, I win!!!" Even if Ceroba chooses to get into a relationship with someone else or doesn't choose anyone at all, what matters most to Starlo is that she's happy.
It's fortunate for Cerojin that Chujin died when he did because if he were still alive, at some point the fuse on the powder keg that was their relationship would've reached its end, and when that happened their relationship would've blown up with the messiest fallout. To everybody else (except those in the know), it would've looked like the lovely and happy couple of Oasis Valley spontaneously fell apart in a matter of days/weeks.

"Isn't Enemies to Lovers proship" Nope! Here's Why (+ Explaining Strawmen)
Proship/comship/neutral/darkfic DO NOT interact!! This post is not and never will be for you, stay away from me.
So I got this question as an anon but the ask just disappeared 😭 anyways I feel like this is a good topic to tackle because this shoddy argument is thrown around a lot
Short answer: No, but it can be depending on the execution
Long answer: Enemies to lovers as a trope isn't inherently toxic, but if it's handled wrong then yes the relationship would be abusive and ergo would be proship. But just because it CAN be handled poorly doesn't mean it's AUTOMATICALLY toxic and bad on principal
More under the cut:
I've had people I've hated who I later warmed up to. Happens all the time, that's life, you're not gonna like everyone. But that doesn't mean we abused one another or made one another's life a living hell. If you're thinking about ETL (Enemies To Lovers) in the context of the Enemy being this ruthless tyrant who tears down the MC at every opportunity, ruins their life, and overall makes the MC severely harmed from their actions: yes, that is abuse. THAT relationship would be proship.
But that's what I call BookTok ETL, cause BookTok is where it's most normalized (and let's be fr, they normalize proship stuff ALL THE TIME). BookTok ETL is specifically different from general ETL cause most interpretations of the trope are written by people who know there's a line between flirty angry banter and actual harmful interactions. Any sane person who loves the trope will tell you there's definitely a limit and that it becomes gross and uncomfortable when that line is crossed.
And, what I find important to emphasize: every trope CAN be toxic if done wrong. Childhood Friends to Lovers can be unhealthy if the childhood friend in question is a thoughtless shitbag and torments the MC. Coffee Shop AUs can be toxic if it's someone harassing an essential service worker the whole time. I've experienced media that's made me love tropes I usually don't care for just as much as I've seen media do a trope I love so badly that the relationship is a cesspit mess that I wouldn't ever dream of supporting.
My point here is judging a general and inherently harmless trope just based off of the idea that it could sometimes maybe be portrayed as toxic, doesn't mean the trope is on principal bad/toxic/gross. "But what about hero x villain?"— same rules apply. If Villain is terrorizing Hero or the ones they love so badly that it gives Hero trauma or deeply negatively impacts them in a scarring way, that is abuse and no one should argue that it isn't. But the trope can also be lighthearted and sweet, depending on the way it's handled.
Now onto my second portion:
What is a strawman?
A strawman is directly defined as "an intentionally misrepresented proposition that is set up because it is easier to defeat than an opponent's real argument". The very question of attributing harmless tropes to abuse romanticizing proshippers is a strawman. An argument that's meant to seem like a "HAHA GOTCHA" to people who don't sit and think for more than two seconds on how you're literally grasping at straws. This ties into a common trend of proshippers trying to worm their way into everything.
Let me be blunt: proshippers did NOT and never have invented shipping, selfshipping, fandoms, or anything of the like. They like saying that as an imaginary "gotcha" card to the rest of us, just claiming with zero proof or evidence to have invented online spaces because that's easier to argue over than the fact that they're supporting actually disgusting things. 9/10 they just wanna piss people off and then flood them with harassment when the person points out the obvious holes in their argument (pretty ironic coming from the "we don't support harassment!" crowd by the way)
So, to reiterate and be as clear as possible; no, enemies to lovers and hero x villain aren't proship. They can BECOME proship if specific portrayals are done in a very toxic way that make the relationship abusive, but any trope can be represented horribly, so no it does not automatically mean the trope as a concept is proship. Claiming it is is a strawman argument largely used by proshippers because they're deflecting from what they're actually doing wrong and trying to grasp at straws to "epically own the stupid antis" or something like that

🚨 Warnings 🚨 Light torture, getting shot, blood, language, name calling, suggestive spice
Chapter 3 - Stealth is A Go
48 hours after their first meeting, Price called them back.
"We have formulated a mission plan. Mykie will execute the infiltration by accessing the target structure through the designated drainage pipe. Ghost will assume the role of a sharpshooter and remain on standby for sniper support. Soap and Gaz, your positions will be in close proximity, ready to provide immediate backup. Mykie, you will be equipped with a heart monitor for monitoring vital signs. While inside the pipe, communication will be maintained via coms. However, once you breach the building, we anticipate radio silence unless it becomes absolutely necessary. In the event of any irregularities detected by your heart monitor, we will initiate radio contact as the first course of action. If there is no response, we will proceed with immediate extraction," Price conveyed the plan, ensuring clarity and emphasis on communication protocols and operational contingencies. Everyone nodded their heads, no one seemed to have any questions.
The mission was to start in a few hours, they needed the night to execute the plan. Once night fell, they rolled out to the location where the rest of the team would be stationed. Ghost was at work making sure all of Mykie’s gear was on her correctly.
“You sure about this?” Ghost asked as he tightened one of the straps to Mykie’s vest.
“A little too late to back out now, doncha think?” Mykie chuckled.
“It’s only too late once you're inside the building.” Ghost joked.
“I’ll be fine. I promise. You aren’t worried about me are you, L.T.?” Mykie teased.
“Only as a teammate, Mykie. Don’t get any ideas.” Ghost grunted sternly as he pulled the last strap tight. “All good here!” Ghost shouted back to the team, it was raining out, creating good cover for the team.
“Alright everyone knows their task, hop to it!” Price shouted over the rain.
Soap and Gaz escorted Mykie to the pipes, covering her six.  “All you from here on. Think you’ll fit?” Soap asked, clasping his hand to Mykie’s shoulder reassuringly.
“I’ve got it Soap. I know you guys have my back.” Mykie said as she smiled at Soap and Gaz. “Let’s get that fucking intel!”
Mykie lowered herself into the pipe. It was a little tighter than they planned for but she still fit. The pipe was also bone dry, they thought with all this rain, it would be slick with water, making it easier for her to slip through.
“Siren, how copy?” Price’s voice rang over the earpiece in Mykie’s ear. The 141 gave her the call sign of ‘Siren’.
“Pipe is bone dry, it might take me a little longer. Over.”
“Understood, proceed with caution. Over.”
Mykie continued her wiggle through the drain pipe. It wasn’t too long until she could see the light from a grate up ahead.
“Bravo six, this is Siren, I see the grate. About to make entry. Over”
“Understood, Siren. Proceed. Over.”
Tensions were high. This info was exactly what they needed to find Torres’, the current threat, current hideout. Mykie inserted a small door camera up through the grate, it led to a bathroom. No one was in sight. She pushed the metal grate up and over as slowly and quietly as possible. After exiting the pipe, she replaced the metal grate with the same caution.
“Going dark. Over.” Mykie whispered into her mic one last time as she made her way out of the bathroom. The building was a nice office building. It had three floors and the intel was on the third. Mykie began to scale the floors one by one as slowly as she could. She came to a corner where two men had stationed themselves. But they were coming closer, quickly. Mykie scanned the hall she was in and found a door slightly ajar, as quietly and quickly as she could, she slipped into the room. The lights were off and she heard no movement. Mykie waited patiently. She slowed her breathing the way a sniper would so they wouldn’t hear her.
The two men walked past the door she was behind, speaking Spanish loudly. Unfortunately, Mykie only knew some Spanish, mainly swear words from Alejandro and Rolodlfo. As soon as the coast was clear, she pushed out of the room and continued her climb.
“Bravo Six to Siren, you’re gaining on the door. Vitals are looking good, keep moving. Over.”
Mykie nodded her head despite their lack of visuals of her actual being. The door in question was a brass door, it looked heavy and Mykie prayed they oiled the hinges. Mykie placed her door cam under the door, it was dark but no one was inside. She slowly approached the door and pushed it open, to her luck, it made little to no noise.
Inside the room was a thick wooden desk with a laptop resting on it. Papers were thrown around the table. A gun and its magazine were laid out in front of her as well. Mykie pulled a small thumb drive from her pocket and stuck it into the computer.
“You’re in Siren. We’ll do the work from here. Over.” Price informed over the earpiece. All she had to do was lay low until they had the info.
“Did you remove the hard drive?” Price asked over the com.
“No,” Mykie whispered as quietly as she could.
“It shows disconnected, Siren, what’s going on?”
“So. You shits are in here.” The lights in the room flicked on, and guns being cocked could be heard. Mykie slowly raised herself up off the ground behind the desk. Her face was covered and she wore all black. But the man stared directly into her eyes.
“Grab him. He’s coming with us.” The leader of the three called. The two men with the guns rushed to Mykie’s side and tied her wrists, they pulled her out of the room and down a hall.
“Her heart rate escalated. Ghost, what can we see?” Price asked over the coms.
“Ghost to Bravo six, three men, two have Siren bound. They are taking her down a hall, heading north. I lost sight, sir.” Ghost swore to himself. The mission was a bust. This was now an extraction mission.
“Soap, Gaz, this is now an extraction mission. Alejandro’s team is here for backup. Do this clean, we don’t need to send in any more men than necessary. Over.” Price informed.
Soap and Gaz gave each other a nod before entering the building from a side door. They scaled the floors, trying to remain unseen as much as possible but not worrying too much. It wasn’t about stealth, it was about getting Mykie back.
“Ay pendejo, que haces aquí? Why are you here?” The leader of the three asked as the two men threw Mykie into a wooden chair in a smaller, brick room.
“Wouldn’t you like to fucking know pedazo de mierda?” Mykie spat at them.
“Ah the intruder is a little bird, and she knows Spanish.” The main man mocked. “Diles a esos pendejos que se veten la verga y si no van a ver.” The lead swung the back of his hand high and down, making full contact with Mykie’s cheek.
“Vete a la mierda.”
“Keep up with this attitude and we’ll send you back to them in a box.” He threatened, taking another swing at Mykie’s jaw. She could taste the iron of her blood as it spilled from her mouth and nose.
“They are on their fucking way, tell them yourself!” Mykie hissed gunfire could be heard from the hallway outside the door.
Soap and Gaz were closing in.
“Fuego, dispara en el hombro. Estamos enviando un mensaje.” The leader said to his guards, Mykie only understood some of it. One of the men took out a handgun and shouldered his rifle, he took aim at Mykie’s shoulder. One gunshot sounded off. Mykie bit down hard, trying to not scream. Her eyes shut tightly and she threw her head back in pain.
Everyone heard the one shot through Mykie’s earpiece. They knew it wasn’t their guns and fear set in. Ghost’s eyes widened.
“Chinga tu madre,” Mykie swore through the pain.
“Don't you dare bring my madre into this you little pendejo!” The man gripped Mykie in the shoulder she was shot in tightly. Pulling a muffled groan from Mykie.
Mykie’s mic was still audible. A sigh came from the team when they heard her speak, however, the whole team was hearing her writhe in pain. “Yo, dickheads!” Soap yelled as he kicked open the door, the two armed men tried to shoot but Gaz came up from behind Soap and dropped them both in quick succession. “On your knees, now!” Soap ordered Mykie’s capture.
“Siren, you okay?” Gaz asked as he rushed to her side to untie her.
“I’ve definitely been better. Can we leave please?” Mykie groaned as Gaz pulled her to her feet.
“Can you walk?” Gaz asked as he readied himself to run.
Mykie nodded. The three of them pushed forward, her capture was tied up, a knife in his neck. The team made it out of the building and back to Price safely. They loaded up into their vehicles and headed for the base.
“Price, I’m so sorry. I didn’t get the intel. I-” Mykie was cut short.
“I don’t care about the intel, Mykie. Your life matters more than that. Plus they were ready. They stopped the hack the second it started, they must have had eyes on the computer already.” Price put a hand on her non-injured shoulder. “Now your next orders are to recover. You still have work to do and I need you in top shape, do you understand?”
“Yes sir,” Mykie sighed as she leaned against Ghost, all the chaos tired her out. The ride was bumpy but Ghost didn’t protest.
“Try to refrain from using this arm for a few days. Take these when the pain gets too bad. As for your cheek, they didn’t do any lasting damage. You’ll be okay.” The nurse ordered before sending Mykie on her way.
Mykie sauntered down the halls towards the common room. She pushed past the doors. The rest of the 141 were all sitting around, waiting for her to arrive.
“You lived!” Soap shouted as he caught sight of Mykie.
“For now. They can’t take me out that easily.” Mykie gave a weak chuckle as she sat down with the rest of the boys. “I just hate that we didn’t get the intel.” She sighed.
“The intel wasn’t there. There was nothing else you could have done.” Ghost spoke up.
“I know, but I also got captured.”
“Soap has been captured a few times before. It happens.” Ghost retorted.
“Oy!” Soap interjected.
Mykie let out another soft chuckle.
The group sat around chatting for a while until the numbers slowly dwindled down as they retired for the night. Ghost and Mykie were the only ones left.
“I’m shocked you stayed out this long. You’re usually the first off to bed.” Mykie stated.
“And you’re usually the last.”
“How do you…”
“I have my ways.” Ghost interrupted. “Why are you always up so late?” Ghost inquired.
“I usually have a hard time sleeping. Sometimes I go to the gym and work out till I’m too tired to keep my eyes open, it’s the only way I can fall asleep some nights.”
“That’s not healthy.”
“Yeah well a lot of the shit we do ain’t exactly healthy is it?” Mykie sighed.
Ghost nodded. “You did good out there today.”
“Are you complimenting me, Simon Riley?”
“Peer review.” Ghost said bluntly.
“Gosh, you really are a stick in the mud.” Mykie chuckled.
Ghost didn’t respond. He only took a sip of his whiskey. “We should probably head to our rooms.” he said as he knocked back the last of his whiskey. Only his lips and chin were exposed. The soft lighting making it harder for her to make out his features.
“Stubble…” Mykie mumbled. She didn’t necessarily mean to say it out loud.
“Oh, yeah. Weren’t supposed to see that.” Ghost said as he promptly dropped his mask. “I’m turning in for the night. You should do the same.”
Mykie nodded in agreement as she too, threw back the rest of her drink. They both left the mess hall. Ghost was walking a little slower than usual as Mykie trailed behind him.
Ghost quickly turned around and pushed Mykie gently into the wall. “I have an idea. It’s been tugging at my mind since we got back.” Ghost placed his gloved hand lightly atop her hip.

Ideation - Where business ideas come from
Tumblr media
Ideation is the creative process of developing and communicating new business ideas. We can either use an existing idea or create our own. This is also true for growing an existing company. It has always been difficult for me to decide which is more difficult - the finding of an idea or the execution click this.
Sometimes, ideas are simple enough to come up with. The hard part is deciding whether it's good enough to be used as a basis for a successful business. The next step is to prove that your idea is a good one.
Sometimes, a viable idea can be the most difficult thing to find. You may feel like all the great ideas have been taken and you are left with little to no idea. It can take days or years to think of a good idea. And, as with creativity, it is often unproductive to rush the process. Apart from other common barriers (money, people), people often stop taking action on their dreams of being their boss.
The idea is the first step in creating a new business. It is possible to test your idea through prototyping, iteration, and other methods. Your idea will likely evolve during these initial phases and could even transform into something else. These are the three main categories for business ideas. Considering these categories can help you to spark your next brilliant idea or validate an existing one.
New is a new invention. You can think of the Segway, Virtual Reality, and other inventions. This category is difficult for new business ideas. Very few ideas are truly new. A "new" idea is one that does not exist currently or in the future. It is easy to mistake a new idea for a modification or disruption of a traditional or existing way of doing things. It is difficult to find truly unique and innovative ideas. Don't let this stop you from trying other viable ideas.
Improvement is the best mouse trap. Excluded are exterior-express car washes, Virgin Airlines, LED lighting and Disney Land. This category is likely to include most small businesses. This is when you take an existing product or service and make it better. For example, you might use better raw materials or add more value to the service or product.
Disruption is a revolutionary new way to do something. These include Uber, AirBnB and Amazon. The internet and modern interconnectedness allow us to transform, disrupt and reinvent entire industries. While the internet and other technologies may not be the only way to implement a disruptive business idea or strategy, they have certainly made it easier.
From where do great ideas come? These sources can be reading, podcasts and architecture. Customers are the best source for ideas for existing businesses. To spark the next great idea, it takes more than just reading or experiencing something.
Belle Cooper's article "How to Generate Good Ideas" quotes Steve Jobs as saying that creative people can " connect the experiences they have and synthesize new." According to his observations, creative people have "had more experience or thought more about their own experiences" than other.
It's a great way to continue developing your creativity.
Does that mean you need to be creative in order to come up with business ideas? Yes, creativity is a key ingredient for innovation. Many people don't believe in their creative potential or are afraid to tap into that creativity. In that we are creating something unique to be judged by others, the idea generation process is similar to creativity. It is important to be able to accept ideas that might seem ridiculous or frivolous from others. Remember what George Bernard Shaw said: "All great truths start as blasphemies."
It is best to start with one or two business ideas and then test them. Then, you can move on to the next step, which is to develop the idea that offers the greatest chance of success. Remember that the customer is ultimately the ultimate judge of a business idea's viability. Remember that even if your idea was simple, someone would have already done it.
Questions to ask to help you qualify your business idea.
What problem does it solve? What problem is it solving?
What are the benefits and features of my offering?
What is my competitive advantage What makes my idea unique in my market
What are my skills and experiences in relation to my idea?
How can I test it and show it off?
How much capital will it take to make this idea a reality?
Is my idea solving a problem for a billion people or just a few?
What can I see myself doing with this idea for the next five to ten years?

hi I'm back again. Anyways; as always you don't have to answer if you don't wish! How do you think the residents would react to a young Pureblood MC? (I'm talking about young like a minor.) With that Gen Z in a nutshell personality. Obviously no romantic feelings, just in your opinion how do you think they'd react? all of my questions are just "coincidentally" oddly specific aren't they, totally
Oh shit whaddup I love the idea of Gen Z MC!!! Young pureblood it is, here we go! I’m going to be moving from the assumption that they’re like Comte/Leo; very sympathetic to humanity and sometimes have existential crises (trauma babeyyyyyyyyy). As such, I’ll also be assuming she’s not super close to her family given she rejects the larger vampiric hierarchy/superiority paradigm, memes and modernity, all that jazz
I hope this fits the bill! c:
Under a cut bc is a lonnnnnnng boi~ Click after Napo to see everyone else’s! No explicit triggers that I’m aware of, but if anybody sees anything I missed feel free to let me know
Comte’s reaction:
Absolute baby, he has decided this is his grandchild--no he will not change his mind or take constructive criticism. Get’s ESPECIALLY concerned when he starts to see signs of that “nothing in life matters 😎” nihilism, but doesn’t pester them about it or becomes naggy. Growing up he had similar issues with the prospect of eternal life surrounded by creatures with a mortal lifespan, so he doesn’t judge. He’s more like nah we all hit that vibe, let’s see if we can get their mind off it c: I feel like Gen Z really understand and appreciate the importance of culture and art, so I feel like they would bond a ton over trips to museums/plays/concerts! Invites them to tea time if he ever sees them particularly silent (ah yes, repression) or particularly tired, and does his best to ensure their safety without being intrusive (has briefed the men to escort/accompany her as needed, though Sebas usually does it).
If he sees fangs out around baby he will thrash the shit out of the perpetrator--unless it’s an accident. No excuses. That’s a child. Doesn’t give a FUCK if they’re another pureblood even with all the arranged marriage bullshit. He said what he said. (Remember that biting between vampires or vampire + human relations is considered something that’s only done between intimate partners, so he is having none of that for a minor)
Leonardo’s reaction:
Also certified granddad, but he’s the one that enables shenanigans and is just like “oh worm” when it comes to the existential dread (it’s a Tuesday). At first though Leo is basically that meme like: (Stupidman = Leo, Maddie = MC)
Tumblr media
Not all purebloods are necessarily dangerous, but most are either incredibly indifferent to the plight of others (especially humans) or actively range from like playing social mind games to being sociopathic murderers/etc. the list goes on. As such, Leonardo is suspicious to no end until he sees that the kid really doesn’t have any ill will in her. She jokes with Sebas (they quote vines on the daily) and works with him normally; even when Leo asks Sebas he’s just “????? bro she’s just my kouhai, thanks for worrying tho”. One day he’s tasked with escorting her to grab groceries and assorted things for the mansion, and she freezes in place before bolting across the street. Turns out she saw a kid trip in the road and fall, and a carriage was moving fast from the other side--it likely wasn’t going to be able to stop. She scoops up the kid and holds them close, and when the parents try to thank her profusely she just seems more uncomfortable with the praise than triumphant. She didn’t want the kid to get hurt. If she could do something about it, it was as simple as that.
From that point on they’re hella chill and hang out together, usually just bonding in silence. If they’re an artist, he’ll offer them pointers and technique manuals--will help however he can. If not, they’ll just be reading together in the library now and again. If she falls asleep, he’ll tuck her in and watch over her (cue red eye meme when the door opens, but then it’s just Vincent so he c:). He’ll often pay close attention to her eating habits to make sure nothing’s amiss with her health since she’s still a growing pureblood. If she struggles with what she is a lot (given she’s sympathetic to human beings) he’ll synchronize his Rouge drinking with hers to make sure she doesn’t starve herself ;-;. Even if she’s just forgetful about drinking/eating, he’ll do what he can to make her life easier (that’s how he shows his affection uwu)
He will, of course, also tease her about being a baby until she kicks him in the shin while Comte sighs and tells him to knock it off with a smack upside the head
Napoleon’s reaction:
Not granddad energy, but you better believe he’s in a weird territory between sheer admiration and “I am your older brother now, eat your vegetables” “But I don’t even need vegetables” “Eat your vegetables and I’ll take you to a crepe shop” “............deal”
Basically it’s unlikely MC is super close to her siblings or even has any (pureblood children are a rare feat) so she’s like......wary, but then she just ???? this is.....kinda nice? Just having somebody that cares in a chill way, but still fully encourages her to throw men across the street if they’re hurting women/children (high fives her every time). He’ll often invite her to the swordplay lessons with the kids alongside Isaac’s teaching; she’s free to join in the learning, or honestly just hang out with people closer to her age (he’s v concerned about her having friends that she can relate to and talk to freely).
Protective in a subtle way, like Leonardo. Escorts her places and helps her carry groceries without fail when Sebas is running other errands. She becomes his crepe shop cover buddy whenever he has an intense hankering for sweets: “wanna go to that crepe shop around the corner” “you’re just too chicken to go alone, fool” “do you want crepes or not nunuche” “............BOKBOKBOK” “aight that’s it **gives her a noogie**” (they go anyway and have a marvelous time rating the crepes from best to worst, they got a whole list goin’)
Glares Arthur down if he so much as LOOKS in her direction
Mozart’s reaction:
Mozart is just the “what is with this sassy, lost child?” meme. Doesn’t dislike them, but they are just not remotely threatened by his haughty disdain by any extension. And he HATES IT. The MC is always just “Okay, boomer” and he just ?????? He doesn’t know what it means but it’s openly dismissive, so he mad.
Like idk if y’all know this meme, but it’s the same energy as:
Tumblr media
It’s only when he notices she’s always punctual and careful with his requests that he starts to warm up. For example, she makes him a mocha by combining the way he likes his coffee and hot cocoa to perfection when he falls asleep at his piano. (She feels bad for him after Comte explains because--though he’s got a stick up his butt--he’s clearly distressed in his new surroundings ;-; Plus, the kind of perfectionism Mozart exudes is an extension of internalized shame, and when she begins to see that she really shifts her approach.) As such, he begins to soften to her presence. He begins to see that she isn’t indifferent to his existence, it’s more that she sees no need for intimidation and believes admiration is earned (basic respect isn’t a privilege, it’s a right). When he figures that out, he stops being so barbed and terse--starts to relax. Offers to let her stay and listen to his pieces if she wants, and she’s honestly touched given his clear struggle with vulnerability. Cuddles with Schelm at the window as he plays, and they become good friends.
As a result, Mozart becomes fiercely protective despite her sturdier nature as a pureblood and has hissed venom at Arthur about the fact that she is off fucking limits. Doesn’t leave her alone in the same room as the other men unless it’s with Jeanne or Comte; he don’t trust like that.
Arthur’s reaction:
Sweating a lot at the sudden collection of baleful eyes sticking to his back everywhere he goes, but figures he brought it on himself to an extent. That being said, he can’t really get a word in edgewise given she just walks away when he tries to engage in conversation or compliment her.
Tough nut to crack this one, but he doesn’t let it discourage him. The only way she’ll give him the time of day is to play chess--and she kicks his ass soundly every single time. He’s fascinated by her extensive analytic ability, but she keeps silent about her strategies and thinking. Dazai and Theo always love to watch him get his ass handed to him, but he considers it a really interesting experience; it gives him insight into her mind, no matter how much she tries to hide. Patient, efficient, brutal--this kid has seen some shit, probably.
It’s after that point he just concedes she probably won’t let him in, though it doesn’t diminish his curiosity about the future; and perhaps traces of dread. What does the future look like for both her and Sebastian to be that stoic and aloof? It worries him...
Vincent’s reaction:
Vincent is v v impressed by her sense of self, and honestly sees a lot of Theo in her. She’s a little more reticent than Theo, but she has this same commitment to protecting the vulnerable and penetrating through the lies/shitty convictions of others. She is not a person who bends easily, but even so there’s a quiet kind of gentleness to her: she always chats to him v calmly, asks if he needs anything and is doing okay, doesn’t get impatient when he drops things or forgets his apron for the laundry. I think he would respond very positively to her presence, even if it wasn’t intentional. He just brightens up like a little sun and asks her out to picnics for fun; he has no greater intention than enjoying her smile and silly antics (he doesn’t always understand the references, but the way she executes it with so much dry wit--like Theo--makes him laugh). He just feels the warmth of family/familiarity around her ;~;
Ironically, they’re both exceedingly concerned for the other because they’re too self-sacrificing jkashlgdks like this is 100% a case of “I can’t let a young lady risk getting hurt” “Vincent I’m literally indestructible please just let me do this” “But it still hurts” “But I don’t want you to scar--” (This conversation extends so long that the author felt it would be more beneficial to add an etc. here).
He admires her and trusts in her abilities more due to the nature of her maturity, treats her like a cherished friend and sometimes younger sibling (not condescending but very indulgent; gives her the last of his sweets for example, or pats her on the head when she’s feeling gloomy--more of a wholesome puts her first). But make no mistake, he will throw hands in milliseconds if she gets ganged up on or can’t handle a threat--he just lets her handle most things bc she’s capable~
Isaac’s reaction:
Torn. Because on the one hand, she’s very serious and conscientious about her work--doesn’t want to inconvenience or trouble anyone--and he relates to that heavy.
HOWEVER.
She’s also got insanely chaotic energy when the mood strikes, so when Dazai starts doing his random shitfuckery you better believe MC is upping the ante. (I’m talking AH. ENSLAVED MOISTURE. levels). So Isaac essentially oscillates between thankful for her fortitude to bashing his head against a table for every second he knows her.
In all seriousness though, I would see Isaac as being pretty concerned. Like Vincent, they’re both self-sacrificing to a fault--and he doesn’t want that for her, especially given how young she is. Often tells her not to overdo it or to ask for help if she looks overwhelmed, though it’s not condemning; he says it softly with a neutral look on his face. (He considers it a Certified Mood^TM). He just wants to give back all the care she puts into helping around the house. He doesn’t feel right watching a kid work so hard without reminding her that she should find time to have fun and live for herself too. There will be plenty of time when she’s older to get serious.
He has a fairly easy time interacting with her because of his experience with kids; he takes her seriously (when she’s not clowning) and treats her autonomy with respect. If anything, she’s probably the protective one. She knows he’s an aberrant so she pays laser attention to when he’s suffering and brings him Rouge (not scared because she’s stronger than him and not human lmao, and she sees no need to put Sebastian at risk). When that uni pres pesters him, she goes cold and angry and asks the man to step off when she sees him start to downspiral. They’re essentially on equal footing (he has more life experience, she has more bodily strength/confidence). They're just chill and kind with each other (babies of the mansion, beloved by all).
Theodorus' reaction:
Because he is a manchild, he will be chill/generally indifferent until Vincent starts being indulgent with her (bro-con). He won't be violent or anything like that, but he will pout a storm and try to verbally shoo her away. Because she's a woman, intelligent, and likely a feminist--this will become hilarious because she will not remotely take him seriously. She will just ignore him or roast him in seconds before moving on with her day. Otherwise he doesn't care much because he doesn't have time to play babysitter (unless there's no one else to help).
At the most, he'll make sure she's safe and use the excuse that Vincent would be upset if he did anything less. If she likes/loves dogs and plays with King while she's there, he'll soften up and thank her for taking care of him. If she makes hella pancakes, he'll be the proudest about it--ruffling her hair. If she protects Vincent in any capacity, he'll be torn between jealous, grateful and impressed; he likes a kid that can hold their own and take responsibility within their abilities.
So their relationship is v much like a chill uncle with their niece; fond, but not necessarily super close or spend a ton of time together. He has his priorities, but he won't be an asshat (mostly).
Jeanne's reaction:
Jeanne is confused on so many levels. He doesn't dislike her spunk he's just staggered by her level of sheer reckless, righteous rage. (And he's a bit wary in the face of another pureblood as a potential enemy) but after a bit more time around her he relaxes. She's fairly simple to understand when you get to know her; cares about others to a fault, existential dread, overworks herself. Stays watchful, but he just treats her like the younger kids that Napoleon brings by the weapons shop when they need armor for practice. It can get a little funny because he’ll just be like “uhhhh uh kids like sweet stuff right? Here have some of the macaroons somebody brought by earlier, I don’t like ‘em that much anyway.” And she just “??? Thanks???” He doesn’t mind being around her, just doesn’t really know what to say so they often fall into comfortable silence after exchanging small talk. She likes that he isn’t complicated; what you see is what you get with Jeanne. It’s nice not to have to keep her guard up every second of the day,
When he sees her feeling particularly down, he’ll take her to that little field of white lilies behind the mansion during a full moon night. The silver light seems to make the petals emit an ethereal glow, and she makes him a flower crown in thanks. He listens kindly if she wants to talk, and if she doesn’t--that’s okay too; he’ll just give her a head pat.
Honestly he finds a lot of relief in the fact that she's a pureblood, because he feels less nervous about her being fragile or her getting fatally hurt when he’s not around. Will still be very gentle with her and protect her when she’s in proximity
Mission Status: Fucking Wholesome
Dazai’s reaction:
Big brother time? It’s big brother time!!!! He instantly makes it his subtle mission to look after her, though he’s v lowkey abt it. She takes one look at this depressed mofo climbing in through the window and just goes “aw yeah, this guy FUCKS” and they become besties at a glance. They basically make a game out of who can be the most absurd whenever they’re in the same room. Comte and Leo find it utterly hilarious, Napoleon is digging a grave for Isaac in the backyard (we all know his heart won’t be able to take it. Mozart is probably next. A moment of silence for our fallen.)
I just imagine them like that one post (@/acoolguy):
Dazai: You ever have to shake your leg because there’s a rock in it? MC: That’s your bones Dazai: Every day I learn some more
He’ll always share treats with her and brings her along for walks if she’s feeling wanderlust; he knows how hard it can be, how restless the heart becomes so far from home. He does his best to distract her with their ongoing jokes, but one day it starts raining very suddenly while they’re out. He rushes her under the nearest tree with broad, broad leaves and settles his haori/overcoat over her head. He looks incredibly serious as he looks to the sky--almost glowering at the dark clouds gathering, He doesn’t look at all like his usual fun-loving self in that split second, even though he’s back to his good-natured chirping “Guess we’ll just have to wait out the downpour. MC, are you cold? I should have been more careful.” She shakes her head and shares the coat with him, holding it out insistently until he relents. Their hands brush and she notices they’re freezing, but she doesn’t say anything. She seems to sense he has a lot on his mind, and leans her shoulder against his. The silence feels fragile; she doesn’t want to risk shattering it--shattering him. It is often said that it is an act of great courage to wipe away someone’s tears. But it can also be an act of great gentleness to turn away, to pretend one cannot see them fall (whether visible or not).
One day, after MC returns to her own time, Dazai returns to his room to find two shadows hanging from his window. Though a little crude--they’ve obviously been made by a beginner--it’s clear what they are. Rain ghosts. (Sebastian later explains it was MC’s wish that he have them, and Dazai only smiles very, very gently in response.)
Shakespeare’s reaction:
MC gets one look at him and knows something’s off. She can’t quite tell what it is, but he doesn’t feel like the rest of the family. She can sense something behind him, something lurking; but she can’t quite place it. (Comte has mentioned before that purebloods can sense each other, so I imagine MC knows right off the bat he isn’t a normal sired vampire--she just doesn’t know enough to identify exactly what it is.)
That being said, she is sus. He keeps talking like some kind of weird ass court jester/fae, and she hated his work when she had to do it for school (only enjoyed the Hamlet memes because, let’s be real, that shit is uproarious). When he tries to coax her to see Vlad with him, she says “'Sblood, do you think I am easier to be played on than a pipe? Call me what instrument you will, though you can fret me, yet you cannot play upon me.” And he just freezes in place before he starts laughing. Considers their battle of wills well-played, and warns her not to go out alone--doesn’t bother her again. Though sometimes enjoys listening to her conversations with others for good roast material. (No he is not taking notes, no this new chara is just fire and feral for no good reason--nothing to do with MC)
Sebastian’s reaction:
The l o r e, MC. Give him the forbidden pureblood lore. Will be incredibly curious and ask about what vampires are like outside of the mansion, for science of course. If he senses discomfort though his questions will die down completely--it’s not his intention to make her uncomfortable. He’s just curious!
Despite his stoicism he’s actually a very, very understanding and warm person.  Will listen to any teenage jadedness or hopelessness with fond patience, recalling the days he was similar. He’ll offer what advice he can. He’s not one to be preachy, but if he sees someone at a loss, he’ll offer what he thinks might be a productive direction for them. Given her removal from her home and parents--even though she’s already well into high school--he’ll sympathize deeply with her position. Will be a firm but gentle guardian (hello Mansion Mom #2), offers her candy every time she does a chore exceptionally well or offers assistance without prompting. She’s sus and takes it reluctantly at first, but after she tries one in private secretly loves them. Sebas is just silently “you like krabby patties don’t you, squidward”. If she’s honest, she’s comforted by the sense of normalcy and care he gives, the harmless joking and easy respect for others (unless otherwise provoked).
When she finds out about his hobby considers him to be a Fucking Nerd^TM and wants to shove him into a locker, but in reality is endeared by how much he genuinely cares about the men. She thinks it’s a harmless fascination, and she senses the oddest...ephemerality about him. Because of this, she becomes pretty protective; he’s a human and he’s too nice for his own good. While she identifies in one sense, she worries in another. Pureblood are sturdy, but humans can’t necessarily sustain that kind of constant self-giving for long...
Also bc my tag game too strong adding it here: #i love the prospect of pureblood MC trying to bring Sebas and Napo together #MC: bruh i got this #Sebas, full of gay panic: wait, MC nO--
Meme tl;dr in the tags also for your enjoyment! I’m sorry this one took a little longer than most to finish!
