No bc tell my why a little bit ago I was scrolling on one of my f/os tags on tiktok and I find this one video and I was like "Oh cool f/o content i havnt seen!!" Only for it to turn out to be an ai generated video of somebody else kissing my f/o (not a canon character btw, just some guy, im assuming it was them or their s/i)

And oh boy when I tell you I felt GROSS watching it. Like actually kind of disgusted seeing it. Which really confuses me because im thought im a sharer, but this sort of content of my f/o makes me feel kind of sick? Like im sorry but I do NOT want to see AI generated videos of some rando kissing MY boyfriend.

All this to say i think im starting to question my sharing status? Idk thought id be fine sharing my f/o but this is starting to make me think im just TOLERANT of doubles, and I dont actually want to see them, at least for this one f/o. Like it wont hurt me or my mental to see a double or sombody else shipping with them, I'll be fine, but i definitely think id prefer to not see it and ignore it as much as possible.

Hi, I'm a nonsharer. It's not really an f/o or a selfship, I don't believe, I just get really angry and jealous and upset when I see people express a liking in this character.

I don't know if this is really the place to vent but I know most nonsharers have feelings like this for mostly romantic f/os but the problem is, I see myself and them as more familial than romantic. Siblings in a way. Seeing others express interest in them upsets me because that's my sibling, no one knows them better than me, siblings always are there for each other, you will lose interest in them and their source, but I can't and I won't because that's my sibling. My closest friend. Maybe it's just my inability to see my favorite people have lives outside of me.

I sound like I have such an ego but I don't, I just struggle with the idea that I'm not my favorites' favorite, if that makes sense, and that includes my f/os.

I think as long as you make it clear you distance yourself from that person and don't support them monetarily it should be okay(?) Unfortunately we consumers can't control if creators are good or not but making your distaste for them openly clear helps a lot

I’ve been having problems in nonsharer spaces (esp over discord) lately because I am always so paranoid that someone is going to claim a character I like, add it to their nonsharing list, and then I won’t be able to talk about how much I like that character anymore regardless of if I ever even selfshipped with them or not.

I don’t know what to do because it’s been affecting my mental health, giving me extreme FOMO, and genuinely makes me question on if I should even stay friends with these people even though they did nothing wrong and it is genuinely just my paranoia kicking in. I feel like I can’t enjoy media the same way I did before after joining these spaces.

Sorry for just venting I’m just. Lost. 😞
