Having watched Ewan McGregor in Shallow Grave and Velvet Goldmine its kinda crazy to me he was cast as Obi Wan. He has such a powerful fuckboy/dirtbag energy in those films it's amazing he was cast as someone so straight laced.

Re-watching romance movies I stumbled upon as a child and rooting for the ‘villains’ this time is an eye-opening experience :/
#well the somewhat decent ones that is#most of the times these villains in romance films feel copy-pasted from one character that became a hit#but what i get flabbergasted by is the amount of yandere coded villains i found in this saga#i NEED to know where the storywriters got the inspiration for this from#especially since they don't really do villains like these anymore#now that i notice all these apparently “good” heroes are so boring#and most of the times their relationship with the female leads aren't even well cooked#but what is even better is how i finally understand all the wrong and questionable stuff they implement in these stories in the name of love#yikes#sitting through some of them was literal torture#i absolutely need a ratio who can roast these films with me#anyway at least i got some inspiration :>#harmonysan.txt

How people use and see your art is often completely out of your control. It feels so personal and I can't wait to watch The Boy and The Heron for similar reasons

just saw someone in the drive away dolls tag complaining about how pedro pascal was only going to be in the movie for five minutes and how that meant "clearly he's being exploited". bestie i'm sorry the lesbian roadtrip movie is about two lesbians on a roadtrip and not pedro pascal.

my cancelled-able trait from the queer community would be that i really apparently love messy endings. i love u happy endings and i also love u such sad, messy, ambiguous endings . . . i love u endings where u have this weird pit in the bottom of your stomach because you know that there's love here but u have no idea what to do with it and u just have to deal with the fact that someone is profoundly affecting your life and you're not gonna get closure from it anytime soon . . . i love u queer love stories where it's really just "u don't always get to see the sunshine and rainbows at the end of it . . . sometimes all that's left is just one big question mark and the quiet hope that they get their shit together" . . .

'there is so much more to live. so much more to do.'#and i guess it's not just for queer love stories. i think a lot about the ending of my mister.#with lee ji an and park dong hoon walking away from each other but they're happy. u have no idea how their relationship will pan out but u#do know that they love each other.#or like. columbus. with jin and casey. they hug each other and thank each other for being in the other's lives.#and jin says goodbye to casey and casey says goodbye to jin and u have no idea if they'll see each other again. but u know they love each#other so very much. even if they'd only known each other for a second.#or like. beginners. anna and oliver love each other so much and u get this sense that. they're still a little bit uneasy/nervous about how#the rest of their lives are going to go. but they'll try.#or. god. the swearing jar.#the last shot. i think about it a lot.#there is love!!! but u don't always know how the rest of it is going to pan out!!! u just know that it'll pan out somehow!

I watched Avengers: Age of Ultron (apart from I skipped some overly long action sequences) and I am not sure so can someone tell me whether or not Tony Stark was the baddy in that film? Because about halfway through I was sure he was but then it was maybe just an evil robot after all and I am confused because either this film was surprisingly subversive or it was about robots hitting each other.
#I CANT STAND THE CONFUSION IN MY MIND#also i get why people wrote wanda/sylvie. they should go on a wholesome chick-flick revenge-quest together. and also they should kiss.#also i am now only *half* joking about thor being in love with mjolnir#it kept doing Christianity Bits which was quite awks.#not sure why it used the bit about building the church on a rock for some metal i mean wasn't jesus making a pun there? about peter?#i think Vision might be Jesus? or else he's Dr Manhattan who's done a first year philosophy course. could go either way on that tbh.#BUT TONY WAS THE BADDY RIGHT? it's day two and one of my classes is already giving me anxiety attacks BUT there's so many people in my class that are in the same major as me so hopefully it'll be fine??
#also trying to be more proactive about emailing professors when i'm having trouble bc i really can't drop out of this class#screenwriting is lovely but i really do hate doing literally every other job in a production#like i'm not interested in it so i don't care so i'm bad at it#and then i get freaked out bc i'm bad at it#look i can make a banger script for my skill level okay#like when it comes to my screenwriting i can give an a-worthy script no problem#but that's what i'm studying. professor banging on about how if you just put enough effort in your short film final from this class could b#festival-wrothy like bro!!! no it will not!!! i fundamentally don't understand how to use a camera and trust me i've tried#they legitimately just don't make sense to me#like i get it in theory but then there's always 1 million things i somehow get wrong#and that's very stressful!!#anyways. i guess it's a good thing i only have three classes this semester#rambling
