Is there any ship from the show that you gate more rhan the Love Square?

This is pretty standard for me, but I really hate ships where people put a character and their bully in a relationship. It's just something I genuinely dislike and it always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Examples being: Marinette x Chloe (ML), Marinette x Lila (ML), Dash x Danny (DP), Vlad x Danny (DP but this is also just something I find incredibly icky. Vlad is literally old enough to be his dad and all the people who ship them make me very uncomfortable to talk to) etc.

They try to sell it as enemies to lovers, but enemies to lovers to me are like in my heart Light x L (DN but like this will always be angsty with no happy ending unless it's an actor au), Selina x Bruce (Batman but like they are light enemies to lovers and speed run), Emma x Hook (oupat), Buffy x Spike (btvs), in my heart Merlin x Arthur (Merlin), Alvez x Garcia (CM but like they were more frenemies to lovers), Mindy x Josh (Drake & Josh), Mickey x Ian (Shameless), ect.

So yeah. I'm not a fan of Chloenette or Lilanette, people who are fans of them I have nothing against. You do you boo and I'll do me. I'm not gonna bash fans who love those ships, and I will never tell them not to interact with me, we could have a friendship as long as we treat each other's ships like religion. Which probably sounds absurd, but religion should be chosen by the person, and that person shouldn't shove their religion down other's throats in an attempt to make them change their beliefs.

Omg, you seem to have practically predicted Avatar 3! Idk if you've seen the leaked stills from the movie, but it certainly does seem that both Spider and Quaritch find themselves in the Ash people clan. My personal thoughts are as follows:

Spider, Lo'ak (and potentially Kiri) are captured by the Ash people (who are fierce and absolutely wish harm on them, especially Spider for being human). I can see the Ash clan holding them to lure Jake and Neytiri out somehow.

Quaritch (along with maybe Wainfleet and Mansk) find their way into the clan somehow and discover that they have the kids captured. Immediately of course, Quaritch starts strategising how he can get Spider out of this. I can see him making a deal with Verang, perhaps they team up somehow (as Verang has bad intentions - I think she's a bad guy) and then at the end of the movie or in movie 4, Quaritch betrays her and backstabs her to get his son back - adding to his (questionable) redemption arc. I think James Cameron is going to go for a redeeming storyline for Quaritch because he knows it will be controversial, and therefore makes a great story.

Possible romantic subplot between Quaritch and Verang? I wish they wouldn't, but this is hollywood and everyone has to be paired off with someone, so I wouldn't be surprised. It would certainly make Quaritch's betrayal of the ash clan more meaningful if he had developed 'feelings' for their leader. I don't think it would actually go anywhere because Quaritch would choose Spider over any romantic aspirations in a heartbeat. But I can see people shipping it.

Spider will definitely not become a 'villain', I mean, come on. That take is colder than the ice cream I'm having for desert tonight. Moreover, I think he's going to be used as the main plot device that brings Quaritch and Jake together somehow.

I really hope that a couple of issues do get raised in A3 or A4, such as clones and their identities, the neglect Spider went through, and the grief Neytiri has to deal with.

In all honesty, I love the new versions, Style is such a vibe now. My bestie OOTW is sending me straight to the exosphere. Wonderland vocals are so good it's giving me nausea. Stolen version, who?

this is just my opinion but i think any good media needs obsession behind it. it needs passion, the kind of passion that's no longer "gentle scented candle" and is now "oh shit the house caught on fire". it needs a creator that's biting the floorboards and gnawing the story off their skin. creators are supposed to be wild animals. they are supposed to want to tell a story with the ferocity of eating a good stone fruit while standing over the sink. the same protective, strange instinct as being 7 and making mud potions in pink teacups: you gotta get weird with it.

good media needs unhinged, googling-at-midnight kind of energy. it needs "what kind of seams are invented on this planet" energy and "im just gonna trust the audience to roll with me about this" energy. it needs one person (at least) screaming into the void with so much drive and energy that it forces the story to be real.

sometimes people are baffled when fanfic has some stunning jaw-dropping tattoo-it-on-you lines. and i'm like - well, i don't go here, but that makes sense to me. of fucking course people who have this amount of passion are going to create something good. they moved from a place of genuine love and enjoyment.

so yeah, duh! saturday cartoons have banger lines. random street art is sometimes the most precious heart-wrenching shit you've ever seen. someone singing on tiktok ends up creating your next favorite song. youtubers are giving us 5 hours of carefully researched content. all of this is the impossible equation to latestage capitalism. like, you can't force something to be good. AI cannot make it good. no amount of focus-group testing or market research. what makes a story worth listening to is that someone cares so much about telling it - through dance, art, music, whatever it takes - that they are just a little unhinged about it.

one time my friend told me he stayed up all night researching how many ways there are to peel an orange. he wrote me a poem that made me cry on public transportation. the love came through it like pith, you know? the words all came apart in my hands. it tasted like breakfast.

Accidental Arranged Marriage AU (v1)

After a reveal gone... weird, the Fentons believe Danny is dead and haunting them and is in denial when he claims to be half alive. They mourn him, and maybe even blame themselves and their research for causing him to become a ghost rather than dying properly.

But he is still their son, and they can't bear to hurt him, so they instead turn to superstitions and traditions from other cultures to try to get him to "move on" or "appease his restless spirit" or "put him at rest."

(Danny is actually eating better than ever now that his parents are regularly leaving out offerings of food at his altar.)

Eventually they come across the ancient Chinese practice of ghost marriage and decide to give it a shot. Maybe Dann-o can't move on because he died single, right? According to their research, ghosts would sometimes appear in their family's dream to tell them which other deceased person they want to marry, so Jack and Maddie hold a seance to consult their dead son.

(you could've just asked, y'know. You don't have to light candles and incense every time you try to talk to me.)

Danny, by this point is exasperated by his parents' failed and increasingly ridiculous attempts, decides to play along and says he wants to marry the Dead Robin.

He didn't expect this to be the time his parents' hairbrained plans actually sorta works.

Anyway, now Danny has to find the poor ghost he accidentally married so that they can get a ghost divorce. Well, guess his parents are getting rid of him after all, because looks like he's going to Gotham.

Now if only the Bats would stop looking at him so weird whenever he says he needs find the dead Robin so that they can annul their marriage.

I hope you know that literally nobody is going to be able to live up to the standard you, V*v, and Glitch have set and your arrogance and exploitation of your fanbase and connections has screwed millions of creatives out of their dreams because Hollywood is a joke that isn't worth telling and wealthy e-celebs like yourself have claimed the indie scene all to yourselves and moved the goalposts into the stratosphere.

Nope. This isn't a zero sum game. There is not some limited, prescribed number of indie trophy slots that a few studios greedily filled up, blocking everyone else out. That is not how it works. Nothing any other creator is doing - short of personally sending hired goons to your doorstep or stealing your credit cards - is taking anything away from you or preventing your success. In fact if an indie creator can manage to demonstrate that they've got something viable going, it may help to map out a pathway for others.

I think I'm not going to bother trying to address whether or not cartoons in return for support from fans - an entirely voluntary exchange - constitutes exploitation. And I'm living in the Midwest driving a 2007 economy car with 200k+ miles on it, but let's just skip past the assumptions that I'm wealthy and connected too.

Instead, let's get to the weirdly myopic notion that the indie scene is held captive by three studios. Maybe YouTube algorithms or Twitter bubbles are somewhat to blame, but in actuality there are so, so many individual people, friend groups, and small production houses out there making independent animation, I cannot possibly name them all.

The point is, the indie landscape is vast and populated by creators new and old, making all kinds of animated media from skits, to shows, to ARGs, to films. Audience sizes vary as much as the content, stylistic approaches, subject matter, and budgets do. There are no compliance standards, no gateways to entry, no goalposts. There's not even any preset definition of success except what you decide for yourself.

Anyway, instead of nurturing your resentments, consider making something. I assure you, it's a far more rewarding use of your time and energy, and pretty much no one can stop you. ------------- EDIT- Made some additions to the list based on comments. Thanks!

because sometimes there are invisible tests and invisible rules and you're just supposed to ... know the rule. someone you thought of as a friend asks you for book recommendations, so you give her a list of like 30 books, each with a brief blurb and why you like it. later, you find out she screenshotted the list and send it out to a group chat with the note: what an absolute freak can you believe this. you saw the responses: emojis where people are rolling over laughing. too much and obsessive and actually kind of creepy in the comments. you thought you'd been doing the right thing. she'd asked, right? an invisible rule: this is what happens when you get too excited.

you aren't supposed to laugh at your own jokes, so you don't, but then you're too serious. you're not supposed to be too loud, but then people say you're too quiet. you aren't supposed to get passionate about things, but then you're shy, boring. you aren't supposed to talk too much, but then people are mad when you're not good at replying.

you fold yourself into a prettier paper crane. since you never know what is "selfish" and what is "charity," you give yourself over, fully. you'd rather be empty and over-generous - you'd rather eat your own boundaries than have even one person believe that you're mean. since you don't know what the thing is that will make them hate you, you simply scrub yourself clean of any form of roughness. if you are perfect and smiling and funny, they can love you. if you are always there for them and never admit what's happening and never mention your past and never make them uncomfortable - you can make up for it. you can earn it.

don't fuck up. they're all testing you, always. they're tolerating you. whatever secret club happened, over a summer somewhere - during some activity you didn't get to attend - everyone else just... figured it out. like they got some kind of award or examination that allowed them to know how-to-be-normal. how to fit. and for the rest of your life, you've been playing catch-up. you've been trying to prove that - haha! you get it! that the joke they're telling, the people they are, the manual they got- yeah, you've totally read it.

if you can just divide yourself in two - the lovable one, and the one that is you - you can do this. you can walk the line. they can laugh and accept you. if you are always-balanced, never burdensome, a delight to have in class, champagne and glittering and never gawky or florescent or god-forbid cringe: you can get away with it.
