Hometown Heroes, Part I

It was great to start the year in collaboration with a few of my favorite Austin businesses.  In early January, I teamed up with the folks behind the ever-expanding Ramen Tatsu-Ya empire to launch a brand-wide photography campaign. 

The first shoot took place at the recently-opened Domo Alley Gato - an outdoor bar and food concept that feels like Tokyo - or at least a movie set of Tokyo. It’s the best place to start, or end (or both) an epic night with a group of friends on E. 6th street in Austin. 

We are looking forward to the next shoot!

I made this tonight. Just really digging the lettering. I might do this for the rest of the main characters in the original trilogy. Maybe I'll do it for the newer folks, too. Who knows. My favorite thing about the character of Cress is that if she doesn't feel brave, she literally pretends that she is an actress in the role of someone who is brave. Then, she takes action as if she is actually brave.
