I Have A New TWST Theory

Warning: There will be spoilers for the end of Black Butler: Book Of Circus. If you do not wish to be spoiled, then look away, dear reader. For those that would like to hear my nonsensical ramblings...

So we all know that Yana Toboso made Black Butler and helped design our lovely boys (and our beloved Meemaw Felmier and Najma), this is nothing new. But have you noticed how much some of the characters look and act like the first stringers? Each of the first stringers (minus Snake) died at the end of BOC, leading me to believe they were somehow reincarnated after Ciel and the Phantomhive servants killed them. Don't believe me?

Look at how some of the characters interact with each other, Cater and Vil especially. Cater looks and acts a lot like Joker, and constantly praises Vil, who acts like Beast. It is also heavily implied that Cater has a crush on Vil, and Joker and Beast were lovers at one point. It wasn't until they started the circus that they split up. While yes, Beast chased Joker for a while, she eventually stopped, realizing it was pointless. Well once they were reincarnated, a part of Beast (Vil) remembered Cater (Joker), and the tables were turned, leading Cater to chase Vil instead.

Ruggie looks and acts a lot like Dagger, even their voices are similar. They also have similar humor.

Deuce has similar morals as Doll, along with that care-free attitude, and even her eye color and build.

Jack and Jumbo are quiet big brother types, and are H U G E. We don't get to see enough of them, but we do get to see that the two are very similar, and will go to any length possible to do what they believe to be the right thing.

Dominic and Wendy are moral compasses, and often take care of grumpier characters. They are also both shorter than other people their age.

Grum and Peter speak for themselves, mostly for my aforementioned points on Dominic/Wendy. They are also both angry at practically everyone, except for the people they decide are worth something to them. Wendy was the only exception, as she was the one person that Peter trusted more than anything, and even loved.

And then we have Snake, the only first stringer that wasn't killed.

After decades of working for Ciel, Snake quietly passed away and was also reborn into Twisted Wonderland. But as who? A white haired orphan boy by the name of Silver, who kept all his memories of the first stringers. After being reunited with the rest of the reincarnated first stringers, he realized none of them had their memories of him, and Snake fell into a depression. Heartbroken, he now spends most of his time sleeping, dreaming of his past life at the circus, hoping that the first stringers' memories will remember each other one day.

And that, my friends, concludes the Reincarnated First Stringers Theory

TWST Story Idea (10)

Twisted Wonderland is a very unique world. Their world has magic, and they have different species living together, ranging from mages, beastmen, fae, merfolk, and so on.

Yuu's world had something like those, but obviously, that was just in a story, a fiction, a drawing on walls and pots. Something that almost all people heard of but did not believe in their existence. Which is understandable because Yuu's world is just humans and animals, and that's it. There are no werewolves, no vampires or mermaids, not even a dragon, and so on.

Yuu had been the type of person who always has been interested in these kinds of things: mythology, folklore, and cryptozoology, and maybe a little bit of history. That's what Yuu loves in the whole world.

They know many things and the history of how it came to be. You can ask Yuu if they know about skinwalker, and they'll put up a presentation that they prepared for years, which somehow leads to other cryptids. The Beast of Gévaudan? Yuu's got a conspiracy board with a bunch of pictures of animals to prove this beast is actually so and so and where it ran off to. They are also very knowledgeable about Greek mythology, followed by Norse, Aztec, and so on.

So imagine Yuu got transported to Twisted Wonderland and got the shock of their life when they saw a beastman. Yuu expected to see a furry animal standing on two feet, the face a mix with man and animal followed by animalistic growls and piercing eyes. Not… not a goddamn handsome man with a pair of ears and tails!

Sure, they had seen this type before, but that's on some people's fantasy that they have written and drawn! Yuu is absolutely stupefied when they're face to face.

Every time Yuu met a new species, Yuu didn't fail to feel disappointed in what they saw. The dragon by the name of Malleus got a human form that he likes to use, and that has the most ridiculously handsome face Yuu has ever seen. Where is the fire-breathing dragon? Where is the gold they hoard? The wings? Yuu is not satisfied with this.

Yuu met Hades next, who was hailed as one of the prominent seven figures seen as a hero or something, which just conflicted with what Yuu knows about the Hades of their world.

Yuu took a look at the multiple figures next to him like the Fairest Queen, the Queen of Hearts, Maleficent, and Ursula, and was astounded to see that they also were hailed as heroes. Their story is so much nicer than the original story Yuu read that at least, 2 out of 4 stated above died horribly if Yuu is not mistaken.

The dwarves are just toddlers that can speak perfectly, the eels from the Little Mermaid are humanified, what was supposed to be a werewolf is not a werewolf at all. The ghosts are all the same as though they are copy and pasted many times, some had different clothes. Yuu saw Grim, and they're not sure what he is, but he's cute, so that's alright.

Halloween comes, and Yuu is ready to be the most terrifying monster of them all, and they did, but that's because the rest dressed prettily and not terrifyingly like Yuu expected!

Where's the horror? Where are the screams of terror and the nightmare fuel appearance?? Yuu wanted to see someone getting traumatized, and all they got is sparkles and annoyance. Those magicam monsters must be stupid and blind to be scared of such pretty faces.

The only highlight of the Halloween was the Spectral realm like yes! The gloomy atmosphere is here! The graves! The very gothic architecture is everywhere! It was what Yuu imagined where the wandering and unrest souls will go.

It got crashed by a disco ball, though.

In short, Yuu didn't like it.

This world is sh*tty and against everything Yuu believed in. It's like meeting an idol you like so much and find that they are not the same as your expectation or something.

Dissatisfied, Yuu complained to themself, unaware that NRC heard it. "This is not what I imagined them to be. What a let down…"

Seeing that NRC are full of prideful kids, naturally, they get offended being told by a magicless human that Twisted Wonderland filled with wonder doesn't excite Yuu in any slightest.

Now this. This made Yuu perked up, but at the same time, Yuu is also offended that the others think their world is nothing special.

Yuu made up their mind to take it as a challenge. Yuu won't lose to these rip-offs of their world. They're gonna prove their world is superior, and that's Yuu's pride as a human being from that world.

Twisted Wonderland might have 7-8 prominent figures, but Yuu's world has more, although they may not exist today. Yuu is gonna show them how there's charm in being a mystery and history.

Yuu proceeded to drop snippets of a bunch of mythology, folklore, and cryptozoology randomly in the different places.

Yuu would go camping with the friends and said in his world there used to be a Wendigo roaming around in the woods. They would describe vividly about its appearance and how it eats flesh and the origin of how it came to be, taking sadistic delight when said friends looked at each other shakingly.

Yuu would mention out of nowhere about how beautiful people would have been sacrificed to the gods to a rather vain person and said it's lucky they are not in Yuu's world.

They even talked about Salem witch trials down to the details when a group of their friends has a fight or something. Magic doesn't involve in that, of course, but they looked terrified that even humans would accuse and execute their own kin. A very dark history indeed.

The mer eel would have threatened Yuu about squeezing and biting and so on, and Yu would drop a myth in their world about eating mermaid would bring immortality and maybe that's why they don't exist anymore.

They even mentioned casually that the faes would replace human kids with theirs and also kidnapped humans as pets. They can also be invisible to the eyes so no one would know or even find them.

The others are terrified to hear what story sprouted out of Yuu.

sometimes i think about the dwarves from twisted wonderland and think, yea actually, i can get why gran's annoyed all the time

imagine you were born shorter than others because of your race, and people infantilize and look down on you because of it, i'd be frustrated as well.

and like, imagine, you'll always be seen as this cute little child, even though you're already a sophomore, and you'll probably always be perceived as one, even when you're an adult, because at the end of the day, all you'll ever be is an extension of someone else's image (neige) and you're whole entire identity revolves around them.

idk i just find the dwarfs to be interesting. like whats their life like outside of neige? do they have hobbies of their own? i'm sure they do enjoy performing with him, but is that all there is to it?? like, what if one of them just goes "hey singing and dancing is fun and all but i wanna pursue a career in archaeology"

probably the other dwarves are bothered by this too, but they care about neige a lot, so they don't really say anything

Neige definitely thought about recruiting Vil-kun into becoming one of his fellow magical boys when he was first starting out! But for some reason, the magic gems used for the transformation never seemed to…ping? with Vil-kun? No matter which one Neige was given to bring near him, none of them seemed click like they did with the others.

Dominic tells him not to worry about it, that the life of a hero may not be for everyone! It’s good that Neige has friends outside his hero work, who he can rely on as a fellow actor!

Neige decides to do his best to protect Vil-kun as one of his precious people, as, as well Yuu-chan! It, it might be nice for the reporter to fight along side him, but they already charge into danger so much already and it’s kind of nice to be able to look after them…

But that doesn’t mean he’s given up on recruiting Yuuken as the Prefect, or turning Poison Apple back to the side of good! The Prefect is already kind of a magical boy even if he doesn’t have any transformation magic, and he knows there’s goodness inside Poison Apple somewhere! He’s just got to get through to him with his words (and maybe, Gran suggests, his fists too).

Here’s this, and honestly I think I’m just here to share my brain rot and trying to get others to see my vision lol. Anyway RSA spinoff when??

For reference- Agetes is OG! Ortho, he’s alive and goes to RSA. Adesius is his twin and also transfem because I say so. Not important here but she’s closeted because ✨All boys school✨

Anyway I hope you all enjoy this!

“This school is so big…” Agetes marveled as he moved through the library. “Not as big as home though.” He smiled to himself. “Now, where is that book, it should be around this section.” He spoke to himself as he scoured the shelves.

After a few moments of looking through the shelves, Agetes looked up. “These shelves are so high, and I don’t see any ladders to get up… Ah! There it is! Now, how do I get up there?”

Agetes looked around the bright library for something, but he wasn’t looking to far or wide. He stopped in front of his desired book and looked up and down the shelves and smiled to himself, rolling up his long sleeves so as to not get in his way.

“Alright.” He nodded, taking a few steps forward and stepping on the shelves, placing each hand on a higher shelf. And with that, he started to climb.

After making it up a good portion of the way, Agetes heard a shout.

“What are you doing?!” Came an unfamiliar voice.

“Hm? Who, me?” Agetes asked, glancing over his shoulder and down to the ground.

“Who else?” Asked the boy rhetorically. He was pretty short, shorter than Agetes at least, and stout in shape. He also had round glasses and grey hair.

“I dunno. I’m pretty new here.” Agetes says, climbing higher, realizing he had forgotten to answer the other boy’s first question. “And I would think it’s pretty obvious, I’m climbing. Seriously, what do you people do? There’s no ladders around here!”

Sure, Agetes knew by now that ‘What are you doing?’ or ‘What do you think you’re doing?’ often means, ‘Stop that!’ but if they’re going to phrase it as a question then he’s going to answer it.

“Yes, because we can use magic!” The boy told him, exasperation and worry - emotions often directed towards him - seeping into his voice.

Agetes stopped his ascent for a moment. “Oooh, yeah I guess I did forget about that, hee hee!” He had definitely noticed the floating books around the wide room, but he had failed to actually process it. “Oh well.” He said and continued his climb.

“Get down from there! You’ll hurt yourself!” The boy called out.

Agetes stopped for a moment, and looked down at the boy. He had a red gem, and sharp ears. He hasn’t memorized the different gem colors yet, but sharp ears are a signature feature of the fae. Judging from the short and stout stature, if Agetes had to guess than the other boy was probably a dwarf! This place is so diverse! Or at the very least, it is compared to home.

The dwarf boy looked relieved for a moment. An expression that dropped from his face when Agetes broke out into a grin, before turning back to the shelves and continuing his climb.

“Get down!” The dwarf boy called out, worried.

It was then that the two heard a laugh, coming from above.

“Wow, you’re quite the odd one, aren't cha, Flame Boy!” Laughed the one coming from above.

Agetes tilted his head up, but he could only see purple-y magenta ears, with some golden colored earrings. Again the diversity! A beastman in the flesh!

Agetes heard the dwarven boy sigh and say, “What are you doing here, Che’nya?” Ah, so the beastman in named Che’nya, got it.

“Do I need a reason to be here? Does anyone really need a reason for anything?” Che’nya replied.

“Che’nya, please. What are you doing on top of the bookshelves?” The dwarf asked with another sigh.

“Oh y’know, I was taking a nap before noticing this racket and decided to see it myself.” Che’nya explained.

“Wait, when did you get up there then? I would’ve noticed if someone else climbed up there.” Agetes said, before thinking for a moment. “Unless you flew but aren’t you required to use a broom for that? And, again I would’ve noticed you land.”

“Good questions, good questions!” Che’nya said. “I wonder what the answer could be…?”

“Hm.” Agetes hummed. What an odd… answer?

“Both of you, please get down, it’s really not safe up there.” The dwarf asked, resigned.

Agetes looked at the shelves, realizing that he’s finally at his book. Agetes grinned and called to the dwarf saying, “Okay. Also, think fast!”

The dwarf boy yelped in surprise, scrambling to catch the falling book as Che’nya barked out a laugh, absolutely cracking up at the display.

“Watch out below!” Agetes called out as he jumped down from the height as Che’nya continued to laugh.

Agetes touched down on the ground, his hands slapping the floor. “Whoo!” He breathed out, flapping his hand about as his sleeves rolled back down. “Thanks for catching this for me!” He smiled, taking the book from the dwarf.

“Wow! You’re even smaller in person!” Agetes said genuinely. “So tell me, you’re a dwarf right? I’ve never met one in person before!”

The dwarven boy crossed his arms. “Yes, I am. Why did you do that?”

“Mm.” Agetes hummed, shrugging. “Just felt like it.” And he’s a petty bitch like that, but he didn’t need to know that, hee hee.

“You could’ve gotten really hurt, you know that right?” The dwarf asked.

“Of course!” Agetes responded. “But it’s nothing I can’t handel.”

“And what would’ve happened if it wasn’t?” He asked, exasperation seeping back in.

“I die??? I dunno, lol.” Agetes said, which made Che’nya laugh again. “Skill issue?”

“You’re real funny, Freshie!” Che’nya said. “Do you have no fear or something?”

Agetes craned his neck to look at the beastman. “I guess not. I’ve given my family a ton of heart attacks over the years!”

“I’d bet!/I’d bet…” The two other boys said at the same time.

“Though seriously, how did you get up there?” Agetes asked.

“There’s more than one way to climb a tree, you know.” Che’nya grinned.

Agetes gave him a thoughtful look. Another non answer…

Ah. That’s it.

Agetes smiled and nodded to himself. “I get it now.” The other two looked intrigued by that statement. “You’re annoying!” Agetes said genuinely, grinning with all his pointed teeth.

For a moment, neither of the other two moved, but like statues coming to life, Che’nya immediately broke out into a fit of laughter, as the dwarf looked absolutely appalled as though Agetes had just killed a man in front of him. Or, if he was more worried about the ‘why did you do that??!’ rather than the ‘you just killed someone!!!’

“Well, I’ll see you two around!” Agetes cheerily said, turning around to leave. “Oh yeah! I’m Agetes by the way, seeya!” He said, waving goodbye.

As he was leaving her could hear Che’nya say, “What is that kid doing here?!” Between laughs and the dwarf (He should get his name) mutter “Why would he…”

On his way back to his dorm, Agetes called his siblings.

“I would like to say that I can’t believe you did that…” Idia said. “But unfortunately I know you.” Which made Agetes giggle.

“This place is just so interesting!” Agetes said. “I was worried that the people here wouldn’t live up to the wackjobs at your school, Idy, but they’re just the same!”

“I don’t think that’s a compliment those preppy fucks would understand at a glance.” Idia said, muttering. “TBF, they wouldn’t here either but…”

“I’m glad you’re having fun, Agetes.” Adesius said. Though she also muttered, “As much as I wish you wouldn’t get yourself in so much trouble.”

Agetes gave an apologetic laugh. “Sorry, sis.”

“It’s fine, I know you can handle yourself.” She told him. “It’s just a bit lonely without you. That being said, are you still thinking about transferring here to Night Raven?”

Agetes hummed. “I’m not sure, like I said, I was worried that everyone was going to be the same and interesting here, but it’s looking like if I stay here and continue to listen to your stories, then I’ll have twice the interesting anecdotes! Or would it be thrice with you, Ady?”

“You’re so weird.” Idia commented, but Agetes could feel the fondness in his voice.

“Thank you!” Agetes chirped.

“So you’ll be staying there?” Adesius asked.

“I don’t know just yet. Maybe I’ll change my mind, but right now, yeah I’m leaning towards staying.” He told her.

Adesius hummed, and he could feel the disappointment in her tone.

“Hey, Ady?” Agetes started.

“Yes? What is it?” She perked up.

“Go make a ton of friends, and tell me all about them! I’ll do the same too, kay?” Agetes told his twin. “That way, even if we stay apart, we won’t be lonely.”

That seemed to cheer her up a bit. “You got it, Ag!”

Agetes giggled, happy that she’s happy. “Kay, I’ll catch you two later then?”

“Of course!” Adesius confirmed.

“Don’t get into too much trouble there. Or do. I don’t like those RSA guys anyway, you excluded.” Idia told him.

“Okay, Idy.” Agetes chuckled. “Bye!”

With farewells from his siblings, Agetes turned his phone off, and walked into his dorm.
