What if. Now hear me out. To the surprise of perhaps the whole world, Robotnik dawns an apron and cooks for Stone, but not only that! He’s humming and smiling and enjoying himself while doing so. When Stone finally wanders in, Robotnik turns, pan still in hand and Stone is nearly KO’d by the warm and happy grin he’s greeted with. Nothing smug, nothing cheeky, just genuinely happy, even more so when Stone is in view.

Stone’s mildly confused and in awe for a bit but the surprise leaves him soon and is replaced by immense warmth and love as he watches Robotnik finish up — flourishing and showing off a bit now that he has an audience of 1 of course.

(Neither of them were big on holidays, but Stone insisted on doing halloween properly, thinking that making the diy decoration together would be a nice bonding activity for Shadow and Ivo. The decor turned out so well, he had to drive to the store halfway thru the night to get more candy for the trick or treaters swarming their home. That meant leaving Robotnic in charge of opening the door and greeting the neighbourhood kids. Little did he know that the Wachowski children would choose that 30 minutes to knock on their door...)

I just get so sad imagining how Stone must feel seeing Ivo spend quality time with Gerald after meeting him for like a day when he’s been there for close to a decade and would’ve loved creating special moments with the doctor 😭

Headcanon.

Robotnik's tendency to grab Stone's face, invade his personal space and mockingly hit him was learned from Gerald's treatment of him. Maybe he learned that this behaviour was how His old man showed love? So he replicates this to show affection as well.

"Ah. Good morning, Maestro." The term of endearment remained. Their 'situationship' had been so undefined over the past three years-- domestic but not. Last night had been the first change in nearly a decade.

Who knew a simple kiss could change so much? Stone's cold heart warmed at the other's touch. His presence-- the sound of his voice. Everything about Ivo Robotnik was perfection to Stone.

"The theme from that new telenovela we started last night. Is it distracting you?" He continued to focus on the stove-- nudging the bacon as it sizzled and spattered [cleverly prevented from splattering on him thanks to the awe inspiring shield tech the Crab had at its disposal].

"I can get your latte finished before I head into work. How do we feel about Shadow helping at the Mean Bean?"

Ivo had been up way before Stone, and when he smelled something being cooked he couldn't help but follow his nose to find the source of it. Bacon and pancakes it seemed, and while normally he'd forgo breakfast and simply have his beloved latte he knew the reason why Stone was so chipper.

So in an act of domesticity the Doctor goes up behind him and wraps his arms around him, resting his arms around the man's waist and resting his head on his shoulder.

"What is it you are singing?"

There will be mentions/talk of Sonic 3. So Spoilers!!!

So some weeks ago I was watching a Youtube video (I can't remember which video, but is was defiantly sonic 3 related) and I was scrolling through the comments and saw this comment 👇

Which then sparked an idea of my of possibly (maybe, hopefully, wishful thinking) Sage could/should be in Sonic 4. But instead of Sage being a biological daughter (cause as stated by the bald sad man himself "...and something about my attitude renders me undesirable to all possible genders." cough, cough Not all cough.) Anyway, we keep Sage as a A.I being (in the form of a teen) who helps Stone in developing Metal Sonic and taking over the world in vengeance for her father (kinda sounds like Sonic 3 but this will have it's unique stuff)

Is it a long shot? Maybe/likely. Will it stop me? No.

So I concocted a fanfic story of the aftermath of Sonic 3 and a prequill (eh...eh...reference placing) to Sonic 4. Where Robotnik IS...💀 and featuring how Stone becomes the next big bad for Sonic and the crew (with Amy joining) along side Sage, the A.I daughter Robotnik created before Stone entered the picture. And building/creating Metal Sonic to test against Sonic.

Hence why the title of this says Stobotnik-ish, because Robotnik is dead (well, presumed dead ¯\(°_o)/¯, depends if Jim wants to come back or not. I'm okay with either and can work either way.) And the Stobotnik content is in flash backs and Stone talking to Sage about his feelings for her later creator/father.

So basically this fic is a domestic/family fic featuring Stone trying to live and work alongside the A.I daughter of his former boss/lover interest in controlling the word in the name of Robotnik.

So...what do we think?
