Note
The Japan fanbase shortened "Dokutā Sutōn" to "dokusuto," so since doctor is with a 'C' in English, Do-Ku-Su-To became DCST!
TRIVIA !!!!!! I know everything now thank you

The Rivalry Between Science and Power in Dr. Stone
Dr. Stone, or in japaneseドクターストーン (Dokutā Sutōn), began as a manga series in 2017, created by writer Riichiro Inagaki and artist Boichi, and later adapted into an anime by TMS Entertainment aired on Tokyo MX in July 5, 2019. The story, set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been mysteriously petrified for 3,700 years, follows Senku Ishigami, a brilliant scientist with a relentless drive to restore civilization through scientific discovery. Senku embarks on a journey to revive humanity through scientific innovation. However, his vision is challenged by Tsukasa Shishio, a character known as the “Strongest High School Primate,” who believes that only the young and pure should be revived, free from the corrupt influences of previous generations.

Inspired by classic sci-fi and shonen adventure genres, Dr. Stone explores the question of how society should rebuild itself: should it be led by scientific progress and the pursuit of knowledge or by the ideals of strength and selective control?.This clash of ideals—Senku's commitment to progress for all versus Tsukasa’s selective approach to power—becomes the central tension in the series. Senku represents the potential of science to uplift humanity, believing knowledge should be accessible to everyone. Tsukasa, by contrast, sees science as a tool of the corrupt and seeks to create a simpler, purified world. This conflict between science and power finds its roots in age-old philosophical debates about technology and ethics, especially the question of whether all knowledge should be used to benefit everyone, regardless of past failings.
Can science coexist with ideals of purity and simplicity? The anime brilliantly visualizes this tension, making each encounter between Senku’s "Kingdom of Science" and Tsukasa’s empire of might a philosophical as well as physical battle. By pitting two radically different visions of society against each other, Dr. Stone encourages viewers to question the very foundations of civilization: Is knowledge meant for everyone, or only for those deemed worthy?

I’ve gone over two laugh-riddled shows, how about something a bit different?
Dr. Stone is a series that begins with a mysterious phenomenon - one where a significant part of humanity is suddenly turned to stone. Several thousand years pass before one of our characters, Taiju Oki, breaks out of his stone confines to find out what happens. The other character that appears to have broken free was Senku Ishigami, an apparently very smart science-driven classmate of Taiju.
The first episode covers a lot of ground, from a clipped love confession by Taiju, to the stone transformation crossing the globe, and an apparent discovery of how they might be able to transform people back to normal. It felt quick, like they needed to simply get that stuff out of the way, so I’m curious how the series will go moving forward. The (assuming) open shown at the end shows a wide set of characters, so just what this series is yet - I’m not sure. I’m willing to watch a few episodes before giving judgement, but with Crunchyroll hyping this I’m interested to see if it’ll live up to being a seasonal highlight or not.

Dr. Stone Ryusui Anime
After the Tsukasa Empire is defeated, the Science Kingdom plans to embark on an adventure to discover the source of the petrification halfway around the world. For this purpose, they begin the construction of a large ship to cross the ocean, and to command it, they revive Ryusui Nanami: an extremely skilled young sailor, heir to the powerful Nanami conglomerate. However, Ryusui's greedy requests to cooperate, and his realization of the money revival, bring a new dynamic to the science realm's workforce. Overnight, an economy of labor and goods develops; a market that is manipulated by Senku and Gen for all it's worth. Ryusui's currency, the Drago, has its value backed by oil, from the Sagara Oilfield, which Senku promised to find, and hand over the property to Ryusui in exchange for his services. However, Japan's landscape has been rendered unrecognizable by the earth's volcanism for thousands of years, and the kingdom is unable to orient itself to locate the oilfield. They need updated maps of Japan, and to map them, they make a hot air balloon to observe the earth from the sky. On its maiden voyage, Senku, Ryusui, and Chrome fly from Roppongi Hills to Ishigami Village, a trip that didn't go without having to brave a fierce storm along the way.

Dr. Stone (Dokutā Sutōn)
Tumblr media
Image from AlphaCoders
This is another on-going anime. I remember I was so bored one day that I decided to look up new incoming animes for the year and Dr. Stone was one of them. The story is what got my attention really. It’s about how everyone on earth turns into stone one day due to an unknown cause. Taiju Ooki was a high-schooler who was about to confess his love to Yuzuriha Ogawa at the time he got petrified. He’s the first person we see waking up from this phenomenon. He finds that the modern world is completely wiped out and everything is now covered by nature. While wandering around, Taiju finds his science-loving friend Senkuu, who has been awake for a few months now. Senkuu then tells Taiju about his grand plan that involves the complete revival of civilization with science.
There are about 17 episodes out right now and it’s just so good. Even though the story is fictional, the materials and scientific methods used in this anime are all real. It’s very interesting and definitely one to look up if you haven’t yet!
Here’s a trailer for those who are interested.
