If I could have anything, I'd have too much money and I'd travel somewhere new every week. I'd be healthy. I'd have a spine that was strong again, a body that had stamina. I wouldn't have autoimmune diseases. My muscles in my legs wouldn't spasm when I walk, the muscles in my arms wouldn't spasm when I held up a camera and the muscles in my back wouldn't spasms when I sleep making it so difficult to get out of bed. The pains would be gone and I could drive more than an hour before having to get out and walk, I could put on shoes with laces, I could sit on a toilet and I could back pack in the high Sierra again. If I could have anything, I'd be better than who I was, but than I wouldn't be who I am. I wouldn't know what I know. I wouldn't have learned the things I have. I wouldn't have the same empathy for others. My faith might not be as strong and my humor as meaningful. I wouldn't be home with my wife and daughters and I wouldn't have such a strong relationship with my Granddaughter. I wouldn't have many things I now do if I could have the things I want most, and so I choose to be thankful for what I have, grateful for what I've learned. I've learned to be "content in plenty and in want" and I've learned what it means to really pray. My life is good, even on the bad days and that's great. We spent 2 days exploring #dogwoodcanyon in Missouri. Had a blast. Hate for #springbreak2017 to come to an end!

Taking a break from some of my recent photos and getting back to an older autumn photo I took in 2014 @dogwood_canyon nature park in Missouri. It might not be the highest quality photo, because it was from an older cellphone, maybe 4mp's, but I really wasn't into photography then. What I really like is the way they've recreated the scene in nature imagining a native Tepee along the lazy river or creek. The nature park was put in place by the @bassproshops Johnnie Morris, so its top notch, and its sits just north of Arkansas in the Missouri side of the Ozarks. This area, as much of the Ozarks was and is Cherokee land, although Oklahoma gets the Cherokee nation, the forests through this area I have read was there original ground. I believe the trail of tears runs further south of here, and that is why I believe the Tepee is to represent the natives amongst nature as unspoiled along this 3 mile trail.
