We've had so much happy sappy things lately. How about some angst? Companions react to sole getting super pissed at them and just leaving forever?
Oh, no..... I knew this was going to come soon enough... All good things must come to an end, after all 😔💙💛
All jokes aside, this literally broke my heart to write, but I very much enjoyed your suggestion for the new perspective it gave and the opportunity to write some good, old-fashioned angst 🥰 I didn't provide an explanation for what they said or what they did to make F!Sole mad, which I hope is okay! (I couldn't picture my F!Sole leaving any of them for any reason but I'm sure everyone's Sole varies in that respect)
Warnings: Light mentions of suicide, heavy mentions of drug and alcohol use.
Cait - Falls back into chems and will likely drug and drink herself to the grave. She can't believe that she went and screwed everything up again. She let down and upset the one person she vowed to never do that to, and now she's alone. Again. She's managed to run off the one person in her whole lifetime that actually cared about her and all she knows is that life is not even really worth living sober if she has to endure pain like this.
Piper - Cries herself to sleep for many nights after and sometimes finds herself crying during the day while she's typing an article or doing small mundane things, her guilt and sadness consuming her. (If F!Sole let her interview her back when she first came to Diamond City) Piper keeps a copy of the View from the Vault articles beside her bed and numbly reads them sometimes before going to sleep just to remind her of the only best friend she had ever had in her life. The only person that had stuck by her and tried to look out for her since her dad. Eventually she stops crying, but it takes a long time for her to rebound and her smile to come back. It never is as bright as it used to be when F!Sole was there, though.
Curie - Breaks her heart and completely destroys her. She cries for days, weeks, forever. All she knows is that there is a huge hole in her heart and she thinks of F!Sole every day. Her humanity is a constant reminder of the great person that she had lost and she will forever blame and kick herself for being so horrible that F!Sole would leave her. Curie will always care about F!Sole even if F!Sole doesn't care about her and Curie will forever miss her.
MacCready - Ends up heading back to go be with Duncan permanently. F!Sole was the only thing keeping him in the Commonwealth but now that he screwed that up, there is no reason left to stay. He was originally going to have his son brought to him as soon as possible, but he decides that they're better off away from where all of the sad memories are lingering. When he returns to his son, he is very happy, but he soon falls into a basic routine, trying to get through his grief of losing a true friend because of his own stupidity. He will eventually come out of the depression, but he will always carry the intense guilt of driving her away for good.
Deacon - Despite the fact that he just continues on with that constant mask of looking like he's just as calm and happy as anyone else, he is hurting deeply on the inside. It is easy to tell because of how he seems even more distant than usual and he very rarely ever comes back to the Railroad HQ. Guilt turns him into someone even more detached than he used to be before she left. However, he sometimes goes undercover just to watch her at a safe enough distance to keep her from recognizing him. After all, he has not changed his face since she left, preferring to keep some souvenir from his time with her. Unfortunately, his face is all he has left of those days.
Codsworth - Is broken-hearted and is at the epitome of guilt because he cannot believe he has made her so mad that she will have nothing more to do with him. He has absolutely no one left to serve and there is no one left who cares about him at all. He ends up falling into a state of denial, somehow glitching and convincing himself that she, sir, and young Shaun are simply away and will come back eventually. He sadly remains in this deluded state for the remainder of his days.
Hancock - Somehow does even more chems than before, knowing it cannot kill him but needing the rush to distract him from the complete and utter pain after sending away one of the few people that actually stood by him through thick and thin. He goes back to being the full-time mayor of Goodneighbor, but when he falls so deeply into the chems, the citizens begin thinking that it would be best to overthrow him. When he figures this out, he knows he has to stop doing the chems quite so much. He cuts back just enough to be coherent and make speeches to inspire people, but anyone can see that he is by no means doing as well as he used to before F!Sole left. At some point he is completely numb and he takes the chems to just feel something besides this deadness inside.
Danse - Is devastated. She is all he had left after being kicked out of the Brotherhood. He can't believe that he drove away the person that convinced him to see his own worth despite his true identity. He finds himself in deep, inescapable depression, and he eventually loses sight of why he should even keep going on at all. After all, he is just an instrument of evil that breaks friendship, families, and all good things. Why would the world need something like that?
Preston - Despite the fact that he does not believe he can do it, he forces himself to take up the mantel of General. He tries to lead and maintain a brave face even though he feels like he is falling apart. He knows the Minutemen are depending on him, and he feels so helpless. Eventually, he hands leadership over to Ronnie Shaw, returning to a second-in-command position as he throws himself into duties and work to try not to think about the loss of one of the few people that actually saw his vision and tried to help him achieve his dream. However, he can't quite forget the fact that it's all his fault that it ended up like this.
Valentine - Honestly cannot believe it and is in pure shock and devastation for several days before the grief and depression finally sets in. He throws himself into his work and becomes even more self-endangering, caring very little about himself and what happens to him. He knows he still has Ellie and the agency, but it just kind of seems to fade in importance as he thinks of F!Sole and how he drove her away. If he doesn't manage to get himself killed during this period, Ellie has a stern talk with him, and he actually does start being a little more careful. Not quite the level of careful he was when he had both F!Sole and Ellie on his back about it, but he tries for Ellie's sake if not his own.
X6-88 - Is quite angry at himself for angering and isolating such a vital and valuable asset of the Institute, but there is something else inside of him that pricks and pokes at his mind and gut. It is something he cannot identify and something he has never experienced before. It frequently brings her face to the forefront of his mind, homing in on just how angry that she looked and how she looked like she would rather be looking upon a pile of Brahmin dung than to be staring into his face. It bothers him for some reason, and when he returns to the Institute and expresses his thoughts, it is the last thing on his mind before they wipe his memory of her and reset him entirely.
Dogmeat - Tries to follow her even though she does not want him to. When she screams and throws things at him, he lowers his ears and tucks his tail, confused at what in the world he did wrong. He just wants her to love him again like she used to. He could be a better boy. He could stop pooping in Cait's shoes and stop chewing holes in things. Eventually, after weeks of following her and being rejected, he finally leaves her alone, heading back to Red Rocket Truck Stop where he decides to wait for her in hopes she will one day come back and give him all the pets or at least one pet. He ends up living his days waiting for her and pacing the place, waking up every morning with hopes that the sunrise will bring her back to him until he doesn't see the sunrise again.
Strong - Stays mad at her forever. However, he sometimes does wish that he had tiny human to help him with some things like fighting or cooking, but he quickly remembers that he's mad at her and tells himself that super mutants don't need puny humans. But there is something strange in his stomach when he thinks of her, but he usually smashes something to try to make himself feel better. The feeling never goes away quickly, though.

Companions as Hallmark Christmas Movie Love Interests
Happy Holidays!! I’ve been watching a LOT of bad Christmas Movies, so here are the companions as Hallmark movie love interests! (I’ve left out Codsworth, Dogmeat, Strong, and DLC companions.) [disclaimer: I know most jobs listed in these do not work in the way that I will imply, but that’s pretty standard for these kinds of films, so I’m rolling with it. Also, most of these are based off of SOME movie I’ve seen this Christmas, so obviously it’s not going to be super original. They’re Hallmark movies; they’re not supposed to be ‘good.’]
Note: I’d love to expand these into a fic, but I really don’t have the free time right now. If anyone is interested in taking one of these ideas and running with it, please do!! Just tag me when you’re done so I can read it!!
Cait- Cait owns a bar and she has a strict “No Christmas” policy. No Christmas music. No singing Christmas carols. No decorations. She hates the holidays because she thinks that all of the happiness and love that they inspire is a bunch of BS. She say’s it’s all fake for the sake of Christmas cards and holiday specials. One day, you’re the last patrion in her bar, and Cait slips on some ice while she’s locking up. You take her to the hospital and she has *gasp* AMNESIA. You let Cait stay with you because you can’t find any friends or family of hers, and the hospital can’t keep her. To your surprise, this Cait actually seems to like Christmas. She treats everything like she’s learning about it for the very first time. She’s not all soft and lovey-dovey, sure, but she doesn’t mind the peppermint bark and ice skating and snowball fights and eggnog. As she begins to get her memory back, she gets colder, and she opens up to you that the reason she hates Christmas is because Christmas never meant anything to her as a child. Her parents were mean to her 24/7, and that didn’t stop around the holidays, which is why Cait was always so certain that Christmas cheer was a hoax. Cait regains her full memories, but because of your re-introduction to the holiday, she doesn’t mind it as much anymore. She’s no santa claus, but she does stock up on peppermint vodka and candy canes for the bar, and wears a mistletoe headband during December, which you always manage to take advantage of.
Curie- Curie is the owner of a flower shop in North Pole, Alaska. Every year, more people move out of town, and Curie has to try to sell more items during Christmas, which is her most profitable season. You’re a character actor who works as an elf for a mall santa agency, and this year, you’re sent to the Fairbanks/North Pole region. One day, you go to see the sights in North Pole and meet Curie while she’s working in her shop. She’s running around like a chicken with her head cut off. You ask if she’s busy, and she mentions that she just lost her only employee to the local Build-a-Bear. She charms you, and you apply on the spot. After she hires you, you realize that there’s a well dressed real estate executive that comes in at least once a week to hit on Curie. She explains that he’s been offering to help her business in exchange for a date, but she won’t do it. As you and Curie ready up for the Holidays, you realize that you’re really compatible. You have fights with the fake snow used for window displays, you help organize flowers in the walk in freezer together and bring hot chocolate in when it gets too cold, and you start sneaking kisses to one another when you have to retrieve an order from the back. One day, the business man comes in and tells you that he’s buying the land that your shop is built on unless you can afford to pay an astronomical hike in rent. Curie begins to worry that she’ll have to sell her shop, but you promise her that it won’t happen. Together, you come up with the idea to sell Christmas packages online, so families who live far away from each other can send a little piece of christmas to other family members for the holidays. The idea takes off. Not only are you able to sustain the hike in rent, but you’re able to pay for your own land to move the shop, so Curie will never have to worry about rent again. You never go back to the mall santa place, and you run your shop with Curie for years, making a comfortable living in a cozy town.
Danse- Oh, Paladin Danse-- He’s the son of the president, and one of the best generals in the country, and he’s getting married. You are the baker for his wedding. One day, when you’re trying to haul a prototype cake to the other end of the capitol building to put on display to show Danse and his future spouse, you turn a corner and run into Danse, covering the both of you in cake. You don’t recognize him, and he doesn’t introduce himself, but offers to help you in any way he can to rebuild the cake. He insists on helping, so you let him, which sparks a friendship between you. Once the cake is ready, you bring it back upstairs, to find Danse and his spouse ready to look at the cake. Danse and you start speaking when you run into each other in the halls, and one day, he asks you on a walk around the grounds, where he confesses to you that he doesn’t personally feel attracted to his spouse, but it must be done for the good of the country. Just before his wedding, you confess your feelings and Danse runs off. The wedding comes to a halt and nobody knows why until Danse shows up to tell his future spouse that he can’t go through with this because he is in love with someone else. He approaches you as you’re cleaning up the confectionary table and tells you that he has to be true to himself, and that means being true to you.
Deacon- You’re a server working at a diner in a moderately large town. Deacon comes in one day and introduces himself as the new hire. You train him, and he’s kind of terrible, but he makes you laugh. You slip him your number after a week or so of light flirting and banter, but he turns you down. You leave to let Deacon close, but realize that you left your phone at the diner in an embarrassed hurry. You head back to the restaurant and find Deacon snooping through the boss’s files! After you catch him, he confesses that he’s an undercover spy, sent to keep an eye on your boss, who is suspected of using the diner to launder money. Now that you know, Deacon brings you on as his partner, and swears you to secrecy. You two go on a cute stakeout, have researching sessions together, and slowly fall in love over the course of December. At the end of the month, you come in for a shift to see your boss being arrested, and Deacon isn’t there. It isn’t until Christmas eve that you get a knock on your door. Deacon is there with takeout. He explains that his boss decided to go in without asking him, and they forced him back to the office, barring any outside contact until he could provide a full report. He confesses that he has fallen in love with you, but has also lost his job because of it, because he confessed to breaking cover. You reunite with a warm kiss and warm takeout, and, now that you’re both jobless, you start a P.I. agency together.
Hancock- Oh. Oh. Oh. BAD BOY CELEBRITY gets in trouble with his publicist over general bad-boy-scandalous behavior. YOU are a choir director for a low income rec center in a small town and you are putting on a Christmas Pageant. You don’t have the funds, but eventually the publicist finds out about your little operation, and she is ALL over it. She brings Hancock in to work with the kids and she brings an entire media team with him. He’s arrogant at first, and doesn’t even remember your name for the first few days, but you notice a change in him as you begin to work together. As skeptical as you are, Hancock really connects with the kids, and really seems to care about the Christmas Pageant. While you’re there, the kids start teasing you two, and implying that you have crushes on each other. In the end, The publicist scores him a comeback story and interview on a national morning talk show, but it would mean missing the pageant. While it seems like he’s chosen to go to the talk show, he changes his mind and arrives just before the pageant with flowers to apologize. After you accept his apology, the kids push you two under some construction paper and white puffball mistletoe.
MacCready- RJ is a single father who is still getting over the death of his wife. He has yet to move on in part due to his son’s illness. You are an heiress to a rather large fortune, but you’re told that you have a year to get a job and learn about good old fashioned hard work before you’re allowed to have access to the fortune. You start out with no discernible skills, so you become a babysitter for RJ. He goes to work in the evening as a security guard and you take care of Duncan at home. Duncan confesses to you that things haven’t been the same since his mother died. One night, you decide to ask Duncan what he wants for Christmas, and he tells you that he told the Santa Claus at the mall that he wants his dad to be okay. One night, RJ comes home and confesses that with the holidays coming up, he doesn’t know if he can afford to keep paying you to watch him every night, to which you reply that you’d gladly work for half salary. One night, you two stay up until Duncan has to get up for school, just talking about your lives. MacCready starts inviting you on outings with him and Duncan. One day, after RJ loses his job and can no longer to afford medicine for Duncan, you confess to him that you’ve been rich the entire time, and that you can pay for it yourself. MacCready accuses you of lying to him this entire time about who you are, and he asks if he can ever trust you again. You tell him that omitting to your fortune was a lie, but your feelings for him never were. You two make up, move into a house together, and Duncan thanks you for granting him his wish.
Nick Valentine- Did someone say GHOST ROMANCE? Yes, I did. You inherit a small farmhouse from an old relative that you haven’t seen in years. You go to get a good look at to see if it’s even salvageable, and you find that not only is it relatively well kept, but things move when you’re not looking. You spend the night and are woken up in the middle of the night by someone rummaging around in the attic. You find Nick, and you threaten to call the police. He’s polite, and promises it’s not what it looks like, but tells you not to call the police. When you do, they show up to find nothing in your house. Once they leave, you turn back, and Nick is in your house again. He explains that he’s a ghost, and for some reason, he can only be seen by the deed holder of the house, which is why your relative hasn’t been to the house in years. Nick explains that he died in this house a few decades ago, but he doesn’t know how it happened. Determined to figure it out in hopes that it can help him pass on, he was looking in the attic to see if it might have any proof of how he died and if foul play was involved. Over the course of your investigations, you two become good friends, and as much as you want it to be more, you tell yourself that it could never happen. Together, you slowly piece together that Nick was murdered just before proposing to the daughter of someone who used to own the house. As you and Nick celebrate this information, you realize that Nick hasn’t passed on. Nick explains that ghosts can’t pass on until they feel they have nothing to leave behind. He explains that he has grown attached to you, and doesn’t want to leave you behind. You move into the Farmhouse with Nick where you two live until your spirits can both pass on together.
Piper- Piper is a journalist who has been tasked with writing a weekly features column about Christmas, but she has found herself disillusioned with the holidays. She thought she’d be getting a Christmas bonus that she could use to buy Nat something special, but there was never a bonus, and money is really really tight. You’re quite literally the child of Santa Claus who has been sent out into the world to be with the people and really learn what the true meaning of Christmas is before you start your apprenticeship with your father to be the next in line. You meet Piper at charity event where you’re gathering toys to send to low income communities. After Piper interviews you, you start asking her questions, and upon seeing that the cold world has turned such a warm heart into a Christmas cynic, you decide to give her the Christmas of a lifetime. I’m talking ice skating, light shows, snow on christmas, and Nat getting a few extra presents. On Christmas eve, you’re called back to the North Pole. Your dad wants you to start your apprenticeship with him on Christmas by seeing how it’s done. You tell him that you can’t, because you have your own duties this Christmas, and he’s proud of you for that. You tell Piper about your dad, and she doesn’t believe you at first, but after bringing her and Nat to the North Pole to see it all happen, she apologizes for not believing you. You kiss, and agree to split time between the North Pole and Piper’s hometown, because you would never make her give up what she loves.
Preston- You grew up in a small town, but moved to the city to get a job at an ad agency. Around the holidays, your agency notes that they’re looking for something more down-to-earth and rustic for their new ‘winter campaign,’ so they send you to your hometown for Christmas. They’re expecting a campaign plan by new years, but while you’re trying to do your job, you find Preston, selling Christmas trees at the local Christmas tree farm and greenhouse. He teaches you to slow down, and to appreciate a christmas built on family, camaraderie, and love. You use your ad/social media experience to save his dying christmas tree farm. At the end of the year, you decide to quit your job and stay with Preston, who brings you on as a partner in the business and in life.
X6-88- X6 is a loan company executive who has been sent to audit the inn that you have been taking care of since your spouse passed away years ago. He’s quite serious and no-nonsense, which clashes with the capacity for compassion that you clearly possess. He thinks such traits are inefficient and pointless. Despite that, you include him in all of the Christmas dinners and events that you have planned, even if he’s not enthused about them. Through the Christmastime events that you plan for the inn throughout the Christmas season, X6 realizes that you’re not just all heart and no head. You have great ideas, and you’re inclusive of him even when he’s pessimistic. He uses his own knowledge of your loan plan to outsmart his own company and save your inn for the time being. He decides to leave his job in the city to live with you at the inn so he can handle the business and finances.

I’ve been trying to get this request to blogs to no avail. So I’ll try here. SS is John Wick. How would companions react to him and how he fights?
Thank you so much for the Ask!! Mod absolutely LOOOVES John Wick, so this was really fun to do!!
It’s been quite a LONG time since Mod has done any reacts, she’d a bit rusty, but shes working on a few now that she thinks are gonna be really great! (And finishing up a few older ones that needs to be finished!!)
Click “Keep Reading” to see the answers! (Doodle of John and Dogmeat also below the cut...)
Cait: Cait was wildly impressed. “Fuckin’ christ John! You’ve gotta teach me some of those moves!” Her favourite was when he’d run out of ammo and use various things to take down the last few enemies they faced. “Shite! I didn’t know you could kill a man with a Bobblehead!” Honestly, she loved traveling with him and learning from him, the two of them together in a room full of enemies, there was nothing like it.
Codsworth: Codworth had known of John’s previous employment before the war. But only ever served under him once he’d retired. When the bombs fell and John came stumbling out of the vault only to be thrust back into a dog eat dog world, Codsworth couldn’t help but feel sorry for his master. “Sir, I know the world has changed, but I hope you can consider retiring again someday. I’ll be here to help you along the way.” Codsworth was impressed with John’s skills sure, but more than anything, wanted him to be happy again like he’d been before the bombs.
Curie: Curie didn’t seem very surprised to see John’s unique style of fighting. His skill was leagues above the average commonwealth ruffian so she was more impressed and intrigued than anything. She was always asking him questions about his past and his fighting style, much to his dismay. That and she was pretty protective of him, concerned since he was getting older he couldn’t continue to be so hands on. “Monsieur Wick! Please do be careful! I understand this used to be your job but you are not as young as you used to be!”
Danse: When John had stumbled across his squad in Cambridge, Danse thought he was like any other wastelander. Boy, he was surely mistaken when the two of them went to Arcjet. John was completely incapable of taking orders, but even with nothing but a pistol and his worn down suit, he was able to clear the whole plant of synths like he’d never seen. Danse and John didn’t work well together but he admired his skill with a gun, and was envious of how he used his body and surroundings to his advantage in combat. “You’re a very skilled fighter John, but I just don’t think our styles play well together.”
Deacon: Deacon had his eye on John ever since he stumbled out of the vault. He knew John didn’t mess around and recommended his recruitment into the railroad almost instantly. If John wasn’t on their side, he would have made a grave mistake. Personally, John and Deacon didn’t get along all that well together, after all John was a man of few words and well... Deacon was not! Although that never stopped Deacon from trying to get the master assassin’s secrets. “Y’know John, if you let me in on some of your tactics, maybe we could work out a cool tag team stealth infiltration strategy.”
Dogmeat: John and Dogmeat, BFFs till the end of the world!!
Hancock: John and Hancock actually had very similar views on justice, and how they viewed any personal discrepancy. Hancock, maybe not to the same extent as John, but that bond actually made them quite good partners. John had managed to half entertain the idea of being a “silent” post apocalyptic Silver Shroud with just his usual demeanor, and once Hancock saw him in action himself he was really impressed and excited. Hancock jumped at every opportunity to hang out with John and take on the commonwealth. “Man, you put the Silver Shroud to shame, the two of us could really raise some hell out here with just your name alone, John Wick.”
MacCready: MacCready totally geeked out when he saw his boss fight the first time. To him, John Wick was some kind of Anti hero in a comic book, he couldn’t believe the moves John pulled off! It was tough for MacCready to tread the fine line of childlike awe and professional mercenary whenever he was with John. After all, the last thing you want to do is piss off John Wick. “Boss, I’m real glad you decided to hire me but, not sure why’d you need me! You’re the best shot I’ve ever seen!”
Piper: When John stumbled into Diamond city with Piper, she had no clue the plainly dressed guy packed such a punch. She’d nearly called him foolhardy for walking around in nothing but a bullet proof vest and a worn out suit. That was before she knew what he was capable of. After that, she had no doubt he could handle himself, and made sure to stay on his good side. She was weary of him, John was far more skilled in combat than any man she’d ever met before, and oftentimes more ruthless. “Um John, I know you know what your doing but, maybe take it easy now and then?”
Preston: John always returned to him nearly unscathed, even when he went to some of the most fortified raider camps. Occasionally he’d come back a bit beaten or bruised but nothing worse for ware. More tired than anything else. Preston had no idea how John handled himself so well until he’d accompanied him on the road. After he saw was John was capable of, he made sure never to question it. Preston was seriously impressed, but also seriously cautious with his requests. This was a man he didn’t want to get on the bad side off. “Mr. Wick, I have some jobs for you if you’re interested.”
Strong: Strong likes John a lot, after all, John is very good at fighting and doesn't talk too much. Strong is very impressed by how good of a fighter John is, and now thinks any other human is not as good as John. Sometimes he gets annoyed when John is doing maintenance on his guns, but otherwise Strong and John get along great together. “Human good fighter, strong like super mutant brother! But fast like bullet also... Strong like Wick!”
Valentine: “I don’t know why you need an old soul like me hanging around when you carry yourself like that Wick.” Just when Valentine had thought he’d seen it all, Jonathan Wick showed up in his office. He hadn’t thought much of him initially, didn’t even really believe him when he’d told him he was a retired hitman. But then way he moved through fully guarded enemy strongholds, clearing the place swiftly of enemies? Yeah. He’d come to believe him. Everyday with John he’d find a new way to kill a man he hadn’t thought possible before. And he’d seen a lot.
X6-88: X6 absolutely loves how John does things. They work well together and he stays out of his way when he needs to. X6 may be one of the highest trained synths in the institute, but even with that, he hardly compares to John. X6 usually doesn’t have much to say to join in terms of critique, often really only providing intel about the commonwealth itself rather than how to survive or fight. Often pushes John to continually consider becoming the new leader of the institute. “Sir, of all the humans I’ve met in the commonwealth, by far i think you are most suited to succeed Father.”

Fallout Party, Day 4
Day 4- Relationships are a fun topic. Is your OC/s in love? Platonic love? Frenemies? or are they an anti-social shut in who hates everyone, just like Kaeso. Tell us about their relationships!
Leonel
At first, when he was fresh out if the Institute, Leonel tended to avoid social interaction, or any interaction for that matter, as much as he could. Luckily however, he soon met Ada who went to become one of his biggest Allies and friends. Now that he wasn't completely alone in the Commonwealth, he felt more comfortable approaching other people since he knew that someone was watching his back. This led to Leonel developing a nice reputation with the merchants of the Commonwealth as well as its citizens, though for the most part all he had to do was sa what they wanted to hear in order to get things over with. However, things were different when he had to interact with people who actually wanted, or ended up, traveling with him.
Here's a list of the companions Leonel has traveled with and how well they get along.
Ada: The oldest and most trusted comrade Leonel has in the Commonwealth, capable of clearing areas of enemies while simultaneously keeping Leonel safe. The two have been through quite a bit together both before and after they dealt with the Mechanist, so Leonel doesn't even need to look over his shoulder when he has Ada with him.
Dogmeat: An all around good boy that always keeps him company, even in he dead of night or in the hardest of storms.
Danse: Despite their introductions and initial interactions being quite tense, what with Danse being vocal about sharing the same opinions about synths as Elder Maxson, the two started to get along rather well, even if the guilt from not telling Dande the truth about his origins bothered Leonel quite a bit. The two bonded over machines and tech that Leonel managed to salvage after scavenging, and Danse's interest was intrigued even more than just for the posibility of said tech being useful for the B.O.S. when Leonel started working on salvaging and upgrading power armor suits. Eventually the guilt from keeping his identity a secret from Danse became too much for Leonel, which is why he came clean about his secret which, sadly led to the two of them having a falling out after an ensuing hostile argument. Danse left Leonel by himself afterwards, but as fate would have it, Danse's identity as a synth was revealed days later, which served as a major turning point for the way their relationship was heading. Although it took a bit longer, the two eventually found themselves back to how they used to be, though some things had changed for the better after what they went through.
Piper: From the moment Leonel walked into Diamond City, Piper had always been a friendly face that was always willing to help him out when he needed it. The two travel together from time to time, what with Leonel commonly getting involved with sabotaging Institute business and Piper looking to learn more about them though the knowledge of what they're after. Leonel tries his best to treat both Piper and Nat to some noodles every Friday.
Nick: The detective was the first real person Leonel told his secret to. As expected, Nick didn't think anything less of him afterwards, though he did find it surprising that he managed to escape and still kept his memories from his time on the inside. Leonel really appreciates Nick's calm personality since it reminds him of his old friend from before he left the Institute. Leonel actually enjoys tagging along on Nick's cases, even if it is to just provide fire support sometimes.
Curie: Leonel finds Curie to be quite interesting but he mostly appreciates how gentle she always seems to be. She aspires to be a great scientist, so Leonel does help her with some of her research whenever he can or when she needs him to get something when they're traveling together, though sometimes he gets stuff for her when he's just paying a visit to Vault 81.
Maccready: Although the two don't quite know a lot about each other yet, Leonel does respect how helpful the mercenary seemed to have been to the people of Goodneighbor with how highly some of them speak about him. Leonel definitively wasn't yo get to know him better, but for now the bond over the comic books Leonel has collected while scavenging.
Deacon: While Leonel greatly appreciates Decon for how he vouched for him when he searched for the Railroad after Danse was revealed to everyone, even himself, to be a synth, things between them could still improve. Even now when Leonel helps out the Railroad from time to time, since the B.O.S. ideologies started to wear him down, the escaped synth has yet to forgive the organization for leaving him completely by himself with barely anything other than the clothes on his back after he escaped.
There are other companions out there but Leonel has either not met them yet, or not traveled with them enough to have a solid idea of what they're all about. However there are also some other noticeable figures who Leonel gets along with, such as Isabel Cruz, Austin, Daisy, among many others.

Dream Daddy/Mummy
Written by @saintlyguy who was inspired by a dating sim called “Dream Daddy.”
*Warning - Imminent cuteness ahead!*
Ada: The bumbling mom who’s first priority is to protect her child. Although Ada is fully capable of looking after her child and teach them common sense, she’s not the best cook or cleaner. When she’s not extinguishing the oven fire she started, she’d ask help from her neighbor Codsworth, even for babysitting while she works as an arithmetic (probably for NASA to uncover some hidden figures). Although her house isn’t the most organized place, Ada provides a safe environment for her child despite her doubts and flaws.
Cait: At first, she’d have cold feet; to think she of all people could raise a child on her own. She would need to gradually warm up to the idea, at first being frustrated with providing food and bed for two. Despite her callous personality, Cait would refrain from yelling at her child and forbid herself from laying a hand on them. Coming from abusive parents, Cait would want to be the caring mother she never had. She would need PLENTY of help from Nate/Nora, considering they’re much more experienced in parenting as well as etiquette. That means less drinking (few shots a week don’t hurt), stop getting into (as much) fights and to cut back on swearing. Overtime with assistance of her friends and a swear jar, you could see Cait walking through Sanctuary Hills with her kid in hand. Eventually she would begin to teach them how to fight. She would kinda be like Black Canary in the Injustice series.
Curie: The apex mother; plenty of love, hugs, kisses, cuddles and snuggles. Her child would be pampered emotionally and prepared educationally. Curie would homeschool her child, so well that they will most likely study abroad on scholarships. Mama Curie will always ensure that her child eats healthy, properly maintains hygiene and above all feel as if they can always turn to her for anything. She would do the “Get Out” challenge across a playground in order to kiss her child’s boo-boo. Whenever her child accomplished a feat, no matter how small (especially during potty-training) they would be met with a small applause and a kiss on the forehead. Mama shines especially when taking care of her sick child. “Rest mon cher, Mama will nurse you back to health.” No doubt her child will grow up into a reflection of her selflessness.
Danse: Military dad. Disciplining his child so that they could be much better and stronger than he is. Also the dad to walk around in buttoned shirts with rolled up sleeves. He’d be especially involved in his child’s health and well-being. Willing to spend any expense for his child’s pursuits, so long as he finds them practical and morally sound. An example would be when he closed the door on a recruiter from CIT. “Damn Institute.” Despite his mildly overprotectiveness, Danse’s child will always have a shoulder to cry on; arms to hold them; a rock to lean on. As a baby his child would always be willing to sleep on his broad chest or be carried in a baby harness. Many admirers of him would envy the child for being the apple of his eye.
Deacon: The cool yet irresponsible dad. Always looking for creative ways to have fun with his child; taking them out to conventions, festivals, arcades and amusement parks. He would even go so far as to design his child’s room to their liking; if they love Batman, his child would be sleeping in their own Batcave. How does he afford all this? “Don’t you worry your little head, nothing’s too much when it comes to my little one.” However the father and child would always be covered in bandages, since safety isn’t always taken into account; like that time he dressed up as Bane so that his child could defeat him as Batman/woman, which ended with Deacon having a broken nose and a missing tooth.
Dogmeat: No one, NO ONE will ever harm his puppy. You looking to harm Pupmeat? You will hear the most intimidating snarls and barks in your life. Here’s a translation: “Motherfucker you lay a hand on my pup, I will bite your genitals and ass off. Afterwards my pup and I will tear up your skin. Afterwards, I’m gonna shit in your mouth and leave your corpse to the maggots.”
Gage: Similar to Cait, Gage would have no idea how to handle fatherhood. At first his only concern would be providing basic needs. After seeing how fussy his child can be without any attention, he began to take into account their wants. This would be annoying to Gage as he began to carry his child wherever he went. Soon he became a much more responsible father; telling bedtime stories and teaching his child what he knew. He would however know to give them space here and there so that “They don’t grow up to be a pussy.” As much as he loves his child, if they were to go do something stupid, he wouldn’t be afraid to throw his slipper at them.
Hancock: The ghoul would want to pass on his ideals of freedom onto his child in order to help improve the world, but first he would need to change the man in the mirror first. No more chems. For real. He’d ensure that the vices of Goodneighbor would not corrupt his child; they would be the diamond in the rough. His child would have much freedom in how they express themself; clothing, identity and interests. Anyone would dare bully his child would feel a knife poke into their back as they’re dragged back into an alleyway for a discussion. “‘Boys can’t wear dresses/ Girls can’t wear suits?’ You and I need to have a talk.”
Longfellow: The outdoor dad; type to shop at North Face or Bass Co. Wears fishing vests and hiking boots wherever, whenever. Not shy about drinking in front of his child, although he would hold off on sharing a drink until they’re 21. Takes his kid camping/hunting/fishing once a year. Takes a cross-country trip with an RV to see wonders of nature. He would want to raise his child out of a metropolitan area, probably somewhere like the frontier.
MacCready: Duncan would have someone to share his interests, be it Grognak comics or mutfruit. The lucky kid would always have someone to watch the latest Marvel movie with, sometimes even going in cosplay; their favorite by far is Guardians of the Galaxy Vo. 2 (for obvious reasons for those who have seen it). MacCready is always willing to roleplay and even larp with Duncan, having plenty of cardboard to cut into whatever they need. Whenever he isn’t playing with Duncan, MacCready is out working his tail at two jobs; despite medical bills for Duncan, the father and son are able to live happily.
Nick Valentine (story time; Lego Batman reference!): After chasing a lead regarding the Mysterious Stranger, Nick returns to the agency for a new case in Far Harbor. Heading to the terminal, Nick researches a disappearance and how he’ll get there. “Fastest route to Far Harbor.” The terminal isn’t responding. “FASTEST ROUTE! Why isn’t this thing working?”
Dun dun duh! “Hello Mister Valentine. I’ve just taken away your terminal privilege.” GASP
“Lucky for me, I got a master password.”
“You mean “ellie_sucks.” Crap. “Nick, it’s time you start taking responsibility of your life and it starts by raising your daughter.”
“I’m sorry, I’m completely lost.”
“The young orphan you let in with you, she’s been living here for a while and I’m quite fond of her.”
“Well I don’t have time to watch a kid. Send her back to wherever she came. Or the orphanage if they still have any.”
“Mr. Valentine this will be great for you. Start getting you back with us socializing people. Let her into your life as you let me in.”
“As someone who doesn’t know how it feels to have a surrogate father, you shouldn’t be telling me how I should run my life, now lift the terminal lock.” Slyly, Ellie opens the door to allow the young girl in. “Ellie, what are you doing?!”
“Letting Piper into your life.”
“Don’t forget Nat!” a squeaky voice announced as the door closes behind Valentine’s new daughter. Wait. Daughters. Ellie may have let that detail slide.
Piper: Having an appropriate job to support her plus one family, she would live in a condo with her child and auntie Nat. Given her punctuality for news, Piper told the best bedtime stories; not ever needing to read from a storybook. Her child’s imagination would soar while their grammar and writing surpasses their classmates’. Nat would be competitive regarding who’s a better caretaker; Piper won this when she brought in Grandpa Valentine dressed up as Santa for Christmas. Eventually Nat will settle for second best; what child could resist Piper showering them with kisses and cooing “Who’s my little pearl? You are!”
Preston: A parent whose care almost rivals that of Curie, maybe even Nora/Nate. Preston would raise his child close to school, the park and their favorite restaurant. He’s the dad who would wear a funny apron while baking brookies for his child and their friends. He may not understand some of the songs his child enjoys, but he’ll put up with them so long as the songs aren’t derogatory; he was on the fence when his child would listen to The Fuxedos. Preston’s concern grew as his child grew. As much as his child understands, hearing “Another college needs your application” daily gets old.
Strong: The dad who wears the shirts that say stuff like “guns don’t kill, dads do.” Everybody wonders how the hell did anyone decide to have a kid with that guy. But they quickly change their minds when they see how Strong scared off some hoodlums with a single stare. He would always be the chaperone for his child’s school trips. Although he may not be that smart and has to use a flip phone, Strong makes up for it by providing safety for his child and their friends. Although no one dares to invite him to their barbeque, he’ll probably eat everything (but ensures to keep two whole steaks for his child.)
X6-88: Being cold on the outside and seemingly apathetic makes it hard to see X6 as a parent. None of his neighbors know his past, or where he gets his income, but this dad is able to provide organic meals for his child as well as get them pretty pricey outfits. Ever since they were a baby, X6’s child would wear gold Rayban aviators, similar to their father. X6 would ensure that his child’s posture and strut just exhausts power and regality. But what most people don’t realize, is that he doesn’t shy away from staycations in pajamas and having lightsaber fights with his kid once and awhile.
Nora/Nate: Fresh cookies baked in the afternoon, homemade costumes/cosplay, a robot butler and faithful dog. This household just gives off family vibes. Nora/Nate would ensure that Shaun would grow up into a person more grand than they are. They would be on top of everything Shaun is interested in. Their family would be the envy of Sanctuary Hills. If only.
Conrad Kellogg: Although this he scares most people, his wife and daughter, Sarah and Mary would feel safe in their bungalow near San Francisco. Although prefers to keep to himself and his family, Kellogg would always take his family out so that they may enjoy themselves and each other. But what’s secret to everyone, even to his family is a secret room where does some pretty shady business.

Living with Companions P2
Hancock
Hands down the chilliest fucking roommate you’ll ever have.
Is usually always high, mostly because he bored.
Playfully flirts with most of the companions.
He’ll ask Sole’s permission to use the stuff at the settlement, even eating the food available there(it’s their stuff after all).
Will sometimes go hunting with MacCready for something to eat since he’s not fond of mooching off of food Sole has provided.
Would often sing along with the radio out loud.
He’s a night owl, he’ll be up drinking and getting high, laughing it up with whom ever is present.
Is rather rowdy in the late hours, but isn’t intentionally trying to disturb anyone sleeping(unless it’s Danse).
Sleeps in the day time, sometimes in his room or in a comfy chair leaning back with his hat in his face.
Sleeps fully clothed(he’s easily cold)if it’s hot out, he sleeps in the nude.
Smokes indoors, he’ll stop if asked(nicely).
Very social with the other companions, always strikes up a conversation with them.
Doesn’t clean up after himself, leaves empty jet inhalers all over the place.
There have been times when a few settlers or caravan guards have left his room in the morning after a night of drinking.
If he could, he’d walk around naked, he’s done it before when he was drunk with Deacon that one time.
MacCready
Jacks your shit(usually only comics, magazines, or hologames) but he’ll bring it back.
Tends to sleep long hours, especially after a night of drinking.
Is very grumpy in the morning or whenever he decides to get out of bed, needs his morning beer or Nuka Cola.
Removes his hat and coat when turning in for the night, unless Sole provides him so sleepwear(a comfortable t-shirt and a pair pajama pants).
Is easily irritated(becomes a grouchy baby) when the other companions are too noisy when he’s sleeping.
If the survivor is willing to let him live under their roof, then he could help himself to their food, right?
Has experience farming, so he’d help provide by doing some gardening.
Respects Sole enough to smoke outside when told too.
Sometimes sits around and reads Sole’s comics for hours on end all while chain smoking.
Occasionally flirts with Piper, Cait, and even Curie.
Has been caught playing with pre-war children’s toys(got super embarrassed and grumpy).
Briefly becomes addicted to holotape games and couldn't get off the terminal for days(until Sole forced him to outside).
Cracks sarcastic jokes most of the time, only Deacon and Hancock find it amusing(and maybe Sole).
Probably has the messiest room out of all the companions.
Is smelly(rarely baths).
Nick Valentine
Prefers to be at his agency getting work done, than sitting around at Sole’s settlement.
Is pretty quiet.
Keeps his place neat and tightly...usually(has a lot of paper work).
Spends most of his time either reading, tinkering, or going through his case files.
Would usually chat with the other companions wanting to get to know them, learning what makes them tick.
Covertly chats with Deacon about the rail road.
Mostly hangs out with Piper and Dogmeat.
Enjoys giving Curie advice about the wasteland and explaining quirks about human behavior(finds her curiosity adorable).
Doesn’t sleep, he’s usually the one to watch over the settlement at night.
Grampa of the group, scolds Sole or any of the other companions when they’re acting up or are being too rowdy.
Doesn’t eat(much), but curiously drinks coffee.
Doesn’t wear hats or smoke indoors(he’s polite that way).
Hangs his hat and coat when getting comfortable.
Will offer help to Sole when building up the settlement.
Sits on the porch with the local settlement cat(s) on his lap.
Can spend hours chain smoking outside, waiting for Sole to return.
Nick spends some time helping Danse cope after his personal quest, sympathizing with him despite their past hostility towards each other.
Piper
Tends to forget to clean up after herself, but is super apologetic when reminded to do so.
Sleeps in a tank top or a large tee shirt with pajama pants.
Mostly hangs around Dogmeat and Nick.
Like Nick, she removes her coat and cap when she’s getting comfortable.
Doesn’t particularly have a weird sleep schedule(unless intoxicated).
On a good day, she’d celebrate by hitting the bar and ruins the evening when she gets a bit too drunk.
Tends to chain smoke outside with a few other companions.
Interrogates the other companions for more information about Sole, their faction, or just for an interesting story(it'd sometimes gets annoying).
Isn’t skilled in tinkering, but she knows how to garden.
Mostly eats the sweets at Sole’s place, she’s also fond of coffee.
Don’t let her cook, she sometimes burns the food.
Also likes to humor Curie about human quirks.
Usually brushes off flirtatious advances from Cait, MacCready, and Hancock.
Only joins in on pranks if the target annoyed her that day or if she’s intoxicated.
She’s guilty of looking through Sole’s stuff when they’re gone.
Likes to read any pre-war books or magazines Sole provides, she’s even played with some of the hologames.
Preston
He’s a farmer boy so he helps out with the crops.
Is a decent cook, his best dish is vegetable soup.
Likes to check up on everyone he’s living to see how they’re doing.
Is always working, he’s either on patrol, gardening, helping around the settlement, or tinkering(even though it isn’t his strong suit) he rarely takes a break from work.
On his time off, he reads whatever he gets his hands on and can spend hours reading books and magazines.
Always goes to the bar during after hours, but never drinks enough to get drunk(usually).
Patrols at night, he doesn’t sleep well.
When he does sleep, he snores, loudly.
Takes him quite some time to get comfortable, but eventually settles down in regular settler’s attire.
Is the friendliest companion out of the bunch.
He always stops to pet the local settlement animals, especially Dogmeat(and they all love him for it).
Cleans up after himself, he even does his own laundry(his mother taught him better).
Likes to listen to Codsworth and Nick about the world before the bombs.
Is friendly with most people, even thoughs who are rather rude(Marcy).
