Hi Dog Man fandom!

Last year, me and @0rangekitty18 had the idea to create a Dog Man winter-related prompt list for the entirety of December. It's for drawings, writings, whatever- and now we have one for 2024!

Anyone and everyone is allowed to join! If you have OCs, alternate universes, whatever- do as you please! And please, don't feel that you HAVE to do every prompt- do it all at your own pace ^_^

Dogman-ber 2024 [Day 1 + Chapter 1 release]

It’s December! And you know what that means!

IT’S DOGMAN-BER TIME BABY!!!!! AND MY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL’S CHAPTER 1 RELEASE!!!!!!

To (try and) fit today’s prompt, I’ll give you a preview right here.

~The Preview~

Snowflakes waltzed down from the sky, sprinkling onto the city of Collardale. Over there, the snow-covered rooftops glistened under the moonlight, and only the soft whispering of snowfall can be heard in the night's silence. The stars remain present, twinkling in the sky, bidding farewell to the snowflakes as they make their descend down. 

Everyone, except for two individuals, were all still asleep, slumbering through the winter night. 

At a well-known policeman's dog house, a young orange kitten sat by the doorway, observing the snowflakes that are slowly piling up on the ground, forming a blanket of fluffy, white snow. He smiled to himself, knowing very well enough that soon, it will be his first Christmas. 

And I'll help make it most memorable for my papa, Dog Man, 80-HD and all our other friends! He thought, gazing at the snowflakes as they danced, entertaining him. 

Meanwhile, on a boulevard, a boy with dark skin complexion and dark grey hair gazed out his window as well. In his hand was a pen, and in front of him on the desk was a diary. By his bedside, on the wall, there was a calendar, which now shows the month of December. A small red Christmas tree can be seen on the day of December 25. 

This will be my first Christmas with all of my new friends from the start till end of this year. I won't be so lonely with only my family, Cristy and his mom around now. So I gonna enjoy this last month to the fullest! They wrote down their thoughts in their diary journal, the moonlight helping them to see each word. 

This Christmas will be the most perfect Christmas of our lives! 

The kitten grinned and giggled to himself, memories going around his mind like a snow globe. The boy smiled happily to himself, closing his journal and gazed up into the sky, hope shining in his eyes.

French filmmaker Luc Besson has been definitively cleared of all charges in the rape case involving the Belgian-Dutch female actor Sand Van Roy.

The ruling was issued on Wednesday by the Cour de Cassation, the French equivalent to the Supreme Court. The court document, obtained by Variety, says that “after examining the admissibility of the appeal and the files from the instruction, the Cour de Cassation has determined that there doesn’t exist, at present, any means to allow for the admission of the appeal.”

As part of the ruling, Van Roy has been ordered to pay Besson €2,500.

It marks the fourth and final judicial instruction in this case. The legal battle started with Van Roy’s police complaints filed in May and July 2018.

The case was dismissed by the Paris prosecutor after a nine-month investigation in February 2019, citing a lack of evidence. Van Roy then filed a civil complaint on the same charges in March 2019 which was once again dismissed after a three-year investigation in December 2021 and involved hearings with witnesses, including Besson’s former wife, the actor-director Maïwenn (“Jeanne du Barry”), with whom he has a daughter; and his former partner Anne Parillaud, an actor with whom he has two children.

It also included expert opinions of the civil party and an interrogation of Besson. Van Roy then appealed the ruling and lost again.

The ruling from the Cour de Cassation clears Besson of all charges in this case and prevents Van Roy from suing him on the same charges in France or elsewhere in Europe. She previously attempted to file a lawsuit in Belgium, in vain.

The actor, who had a small part in “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” alleged that she and Besson had an abusive affair that began on the shoot of “Valerian” and culminated in a rape on the night of May 17, 2018, at the Bristol Hotel in Paris.

“This decision confirms the dismissal in favor of Luc Besson and confirms all the decisions of the last five years which have found him not guilty,” said Besson’s attorney, Thierry Marambert, in a statement sent to Variety.

“It therefore puts a definitive end to this procedure initiated in 2018, during which Luc Besson was systematically cleared by all the magistrates who examined the case,” Marambert continued.

Following a four-year hiatus, Besson is making a directorial comeback with “DogMan,” a drama starring Caleb Landry Jones, which is expected to world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The company he founded, EuropaCorp, was taken over by New York-based Vine Alternative Investment, as part of a financial restructuring deal finalized in 2020.

Since the 1920’s, Maryland has been host to a strange creature resembling a werewolf.

Witnesses generally describe it as dark furred or brownish, and in one instance it was said to have stripes on its lower half like a thylacine, while another described it with sprawled back legs. Some accounts include fangs, muscular hind limbs, a long bushy tail, etc. This depiction is based upon some eyewitness descriptions as well as a sketch by News-Post sketch artist Ed Mull from the December 1, 1965 issue of The News.

An early report of the dwayyo came from Carroll county and the beast was described as calling out in “frightful screams" not unlike those of the dogman found in Michigan.  However, while that account dates back to 1944, it wasn’t until the holidays in 1965 near Gambrill State Park that the creature resurfaced, with enthusiasm, even attacking a man who defended his family from the beast!  In fact, it was seen so often that a hunt was planned, though it was unsuccessful.  It wasn’t seen again until the summer of the next year, where a gentleman encountered it and heard it scream as it backed into the woods again, where it remained unseen for a decade. Frederick county was next to be visited by the Dwayyo, where a couple of gentlemen were on the lookout for deer, and instead encountered a beast in the headlights!  It was a mere two years later that it was spotted in the same area again, where it ran in front of two onlookers and disappeared from history again until 2009.  The beast appeared by Hawbottom road, where it kept pace with a car estimated at 25 miles an hour. When the car slowed, the slobbering creature lunged at the vehicle!

Rumors abound about this mysterious creature, some claiming it’s a hoax, others saying that it’s a variety of cryptid, while others speculate that it’s a shapeshifter of some variety.  Regardless, the mystery continues, and perhaps you should tread with caution, should you find yourself alone in the forests of Maryland.
