NGO FOR CHILDERN WELFARE IN LUCKNOW
After many years of experience the reality at ground zero level and the root cause of child labour is poverty. Children are forcefully sent to work at these toxic places by their parents, so that they can earn money for the family. They are forced to work for a stretch of not less than 9-10 hours only to be given bare minimum money with no food supplies. As a child care NGO working to elevate each child from the crunches of this social evil, Hum Sab Ne Ye Thana Hai, Baal Majdoori Ko Hatana Hai. We aim to put this into execution by means of our regular rescue programs that are tailored to stop the supply of children for child labour by sending them to schools or educate them by giving combine calsses and also address the most pressing needs of the victims of child labour.

The Environmental Impact of Dog Repellent Spray and Alternative Solutions in Lucknow
Tumblr media
The use of dog repellent spray in Lucknow, or anywhere else, can have environmental impacts that should be considered. Dog repellent spray typically contains chemicals that can potentially harm the environment, particularly if it is not used responsibly. For instance, it can contaminate waterways, harm plant life and wildlife, and reduce air quality. It is, therefore, essential to consider alternative solutions that can reduce the environmental impact of dog repellent spray.
One alternative solution is to use natural remedies to deter dogs. This includes using vinegar, citrus, and pepper sprays, which are effective at repelling dogs without causing harm to the environment. Other options include using ultrasonic devices that emit high-frequency sounds that dogs find uncomfortable, but that do not harm them.
Another solution is to focus on preventing dog attacks from occurring in the first place. This can be done through measures such as educating dog owners on responsible pet ownership, creating and enforcing leash laws, and setting up designated dog-free areas in public spaces.
Furthermore, the use of dog repellent spray can be minimized by using non-toxic and environmentally friendly alternatives. This includes using noise deterrents such as air horns, whistles, or clapping, which can startle the dog and make them retreat.
In conclusion, while dog repellent spray is an effective way to deter aggressive dogs, its use can have environmental impacts that should not be overlooked. It is, therefore, important to consider alternative solutions that are environmentally friendly, such as natural remedies, noise deterrents, and preventive measures. By using these solutions, individuals can protect themselves from aggressive dogs while minimizing their impact on the environment in Lucknow.

The Internet wasn't born with my dog, but I got to use it at the same time as he was with me. I was fourteen when I was allowed to make a Facebook account, the same age when I made a tumblr account and seventeen when I had a phone that supported WhatsApp. The new Internet grew around me, and I grew around my dog, so of course all of my first passwords began with my dog's name.
Habits are often muscle memories. He passed away in October of 2022 but I instinctively know how to type his birthday in the password bar faster than I do my own. I sometimes try to imagine the future in which I'd have to explain to someone, twenty years later - "No, that was my dog's name. My first one. Yes, I still keep it."
Of course it's stupid. He doesn't know and doesn't care, but I do. I sit there wishing he's in a better place and missing him at odd hours of the day. Before he died, the doctor told us that there was not much more to do, so I sat there and held him when it happened. He couldn't walk by then, so he just whimpered in my arms. My dad told me not to. "He'll come back if you hold him," he said. He didn't.
I'd brought him here, in my house in Lucknow. He'd come when my sister and I had picked him from the litter. There was another person choosing with us, and we felt she took the puppy with the brighter spots. Still, this one was ours. We brought him in, and he was terribly small. I dug out the photo lately, and I'm a little surprised by how small he was.
That's the thing about dogs. You pick them up and bring them home, then you're the one picking them up to bury them. And no, that's not new - that's been happening ever since we domesticated dogs. But this, this moment at the password bar, that's new. The password manager doesn't know, it doesn't know that that phase of my life is over. There's just these remnants, these muscle memories, that instinctively take me elsewhere when I think of him. I've never been this heartbroken in my life, my heart says. That can't be true, my brain responds. But my fingers just move - remembering passwords, food habits, his favourite walks. They don't know he's gone. And if I don't change my passwords, they never will.

Is happiness a human construct? The word “happiness” is no doubt a human construct, but the concept surely exists independent of the linguistic labelling.
The human understanding of happiness can be summarised in two key approaches:
1. Do the things that make you happy
2. Stop wanting to do the things that make you happy.
Both approaches of course presuppose that you know what makes you happy.
Interestingly approach 1 is mostly all about the material, the physical, the tangible…things you want to possess, own, have, be married to…
And approach 2 is spirituality.
1. “Doing things that make you happy” is a negotiation. To be able to do things that make you happy some times you have to do things that make you really unhappy, such as working 10 hours a day in a draining, monochromatic job or being nice to people you dislike. Sure that gets you the things that make you happy but in the end it’s a trade off between how much unhappiness you can take in return for some happiness.
2. “Not wanting to do things that make you happy” is usually not the default choice and people mostly try it after approach number 1 has failed. If we aren’t able to do the things we want to do whether because our socio-economic situation doesn’t allow us or because she said no or because we don’t like the work we’ve to put in, we look for ways to adjust and metaphysical, incomprehensible ideas around energies, discernings, enlightenment and actualisation are oddly comforting. Not knowing is humbling and in the world of internet and instant answers finding something that’s impossible to understand or make sense of without keeping rationality aside may be the elixir that a weary mind needs. To some of us “if you want to be happy, first you’ve to kill the desire to be happy” may sound counterintuitive, but to the burnt out investment banker that just might be the magic mantra to nirvana.
For dogs, there’s only approach 1. They only do things that make them happy. If they succeed they’re happy. If they fail or are prevented, they’re unhappy.
They’re happy and unhappy many times a day, never carrying over a mood from one moment to another.
What a wonderful strange way of being- living in the moment.
Not “a” moment. THE moment. This one. Right here. The one that’s just about to pass.
