Fresh Dog Food for a Fresh Start: Transforming Your Dog's Health
Fresh dog food is a type of pet food that is made from whole ingredients, cooked and packaged to preserve the nutrients and flavor. It's typically made in small batches and has a shorter shelf life than traditional kibble. Fresh dog food can come in various forms, including pre-made meals, raw ingredients, and DIY meal kits. These meals are designed to provide dogs with a balanced and nutritious diet that meets their nutritional needs.
The benefits of fresh dog food are numerous. For one, it's easier to digest, reducing the risk of digestive issues. Fresh food also promotes a shinier, healthier coat and can even help reduce allergy symptoms. Additionally, fresh food supports a stronger immune system and provides more energy and vitality. Overall, fresh dog food is a great option for dog owners who want to provide their pets with the best possible nutrition.
When buying fresh dog food, there are several things to consider. First, look for whole, named ingredients like chicken, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Ensure that the food is nutritionally balanced and meets your dog's needs. Check how the food is preserved - is it refrigerated or frozen? Consider the convenience of the food - is it easy to serve and store? Finally, think about the cost - fresh dog food can be more expensive than traditional kibble.
There are several types of fresh dog food available, including raw food, cooked food, and vegetarian/vegan food. Raw food is uncooked and mimics a dog's natural diet, while cooked food is easier to digest. Vegetarian/vegan food is plant-based and a great option for dogs with food sensitivities.
Transitioning your dog to fresh food should be done gradually to prevent digestive upset. Start by mixing a small amount of fresh food with their current food and gradually increase the proportion over time. Monitor your dog's progress and adjust the transition schedule as needed.

Benefits of Raw Dog Food in Fort Lauderdale and Jupiter, FL
Many homeowners consider their pets to be a part of the family. The love and companionship they provide can help to keep the family together as well. Such families need to ensure proper nutrition for their dogs at home. Feeding processed food such as kibble for an extended period is likely to give rise to health concerns. The pet parent would do well to switch to raw dog food in Fort Lauderdale and Jupiter, FL, which accounts for a happy and playful dog in the family.
Sure, most pet owners are a trifle apprehensive about such a move. Well, it helps to learn that raw food is uncooked food that is provided to the dog during meal times. There is no harm in trying it, as the dogs in the wilderness were hunters who thrived on raw meat. After inquiring about the quality, the pet owner may source raw meat from an online pet food store.
The food that should be added to the dog bowl should be a combination of connective tissue, fat, and various animal organs and bones. A few pet owners also make sure to add finely chopped vegetables and fruits to the bowl. The vets state that fruits and veggies may be an afterthought but not a necessity or a part of the raw food diet meant for a dog's well-being.
Yes! Raw meat is also suitable for pups. To ensure proper nutrition, it is best to feed them meat instead of organs and bones. The benefits of putting the dog on a raw food diet are diverse, with the following pluses evident before long: · Optimum Weight- A dog or pup at home often gets fat as physical exercise is too little to eliminate excess fat. Surprisingly, raw food can help the pet maintain an ideal weight easily.
· Healthy Skin & Glossy Coat- The raw meat provides moisture and lubrication to the pet's skin, which is sure to display healthy and glossy fur. The shedding tends to be low as well. Moreover, the dog on a raw food diet is not prone to allergies and will not have a shabby-looking coat. The instances of canine atopic dermatitis in pups are pretty low as well.
· Improved Immunity- The dog does not have compromised digestion since raw food, mainly meat is digested easily by the body. The required nutrients are absorbed speedily as well. This strengthens the immune system and keeps the pet healthy and active; ill-health is rare in such pets too
· Firm Stools- With proper digestion being the norm, the dog will not make a mess when taken out for a stroll. Instead, the stools are smaller and firmer. The pet parent will not have a hard time scoping it up either
To ensure proper nutrition for the beloved pet, it is essential to ensure fresh dog food delivery in Fort Lauderdale and Jupiter, FL.

i actually do kinda like delivering groceries on the side because it gives me such a unique cross-section of the community. i never know whose groceries im shopping for until i finish the delivery and see them/their home and it's like it adds more detail to the picture of who they are. the baby supplies going to the apartment that i know for a fact is one bedroom (they'll be moving soon - i bet they're apartment hunting, i hope they find a place). the new cat litter box, bowl, and kitten food going to the house covered in "i <3 my dog" paraphernalia (a kitten definitely showed up on the porch recently and made itself at home). the fairly healthy boring grocery order that includes an incongruous tub of candy-filled ice cream going to the home of an elderly woman with toddler toys in the yard (it's clearly for her grandkids, whom she sees often).
shopping for someone else's groceries is a fairly intimate thing. i've bought condoms and pregnancy tests, allergy medicine and nyquil, baby benadryl and teething gel, a huge pile of veggies paired with an equally huge pile of junk food, tampons and shampoo and closet organizers and ant traps and deodorizing shoe inserts and a million other little things that tell a million different stories in their endless combinations. one time someone had me buy one single green bean. i messaged them to confirm that's actually what they wanted, and they said yes - neither of them liked green beans very much, but they had a baby they were introducing to solid foods, and they wanted to let him try one to see if he liked them. another time i had someone request 50 fresh roma tomatoes - not for a restaurant, but for a person in an apartment. the kitchen behind them smelled like basil and garlic when they opened the door. another time i brought groceries to three elderly blind women who share a house. that was one of the few times i have ever broken my rule and gone inside a place i've delivered to, because they asked if i could place the grocery bags in a specific location in the kitchen for them to work on unloading and there was no way i was going to refuse helping.
i gripe about the poor tippers, but people can also be incredibly kind. one time i took shelter from a sudden vicious hailstorm inside an older lady's home in a trailer park, while i was in the middle of delivering her groceries. we both huddled just inside the door, watching in shock as golf-ball-sized hail swept through for about five minutes and then disappeared. she handed me an extra $10 bill on my way out the door.
when covid was at its deadliest, people would leave extra (often lysol-scented) cash tips and thank-you notes for me taped to the door or partially under the mat. i especially loved the clearly kid-drawn thank you notes with marker renderings of blobby people in masks, or trees, or rainbows. in summer of 2020 i delivered to a nice older couple who lived outside of town in the hills, and they insisted i take a huge double handful of extra disposable gloves and masks to wear while shopping - those were hard to find in stores at the time, but they wanted me to have some of their supply and wouldn't take no for an answer.
anyway. all this to say people are mostly good, or at least trying to be, despite my complaints.

Old dog
Daryl Dixon x reader | SMUT🔞
Daryl is never been watched with such interest before, and it grabs his attention. But he feels like he got his order of actions wrong..
The Kingdom was a strange place.
First there was the King, with his pet tiger.
The King spoke in a strange manner, and his ever so friendly right hand too.
The Queen was a kind woman, she had shown you around and given you a roof over your head after you wandered into her lands.
The Kingdom had guards on horseback, and all its residents referred to their leader as the King.
Like a true old age Kingdom.
It was near summer when you arrived and took some time to get settled, now having your routine all worked out and were a happy new addition to the bakery.
While it meant crazy early mornings, it brought many people a good start of their day. You made your delivery rounds as the first people got up to tend to the gardens before the sun got too hot, passing then with a kind smile and a good morning wish on your way to the school building where you'd make your last delivery of the day.
You continued your daily tasks back at the bakery when a returning resident came by.
Each day he'd come by to pick up the same order, so by now it was standard to have it ready by a certain time.
Like clockwork he showed up, the gorgeous older man with his grey streaked hair that framed his bearded face oh so perfect.
You always wondered about the scar that sat around one of his sea blue eyes, but you never found the courage to ask.
You only knew his first name because the baker mentioned it once.
Daryl.
With rough, scarred hands he accepted the packaged food but remained in his spot.
"M'sorry, ya don't happen ta have sun leftovers, do ya? 'M headin' out fer a couple days 'n could use some extras." A little stunned by the sudden change in routine had you stammer a response neither of you could make out before you disappeared further into the back.
To your luck a fresh batch was just taken out of the oven, so you quickly grabbed a few buns and put them in a tea towel before moving back to the front.
"Here you go, fresh out of the oven." You smiled nervously as you held out the makeshift pouch, almost freezing as the calloused pads of his fingers brushed your skin while taking the bread from you.
With a charming as ever thanks he made his way out the door.
After the third time preparing the order for Daryl, who wasn't in town to come pick it up you were told to go take a day or two off, relax and go try and catch him come back home later during the day.
On your delivery routes and walks around the community you had caught wind of some kind of guard dog. You'd pick it up from time to time but today had been much more frequent.
You wondered what they meant. Maybe you'd ask Carol about it later.
The Kingdom was a nice place.
Each day there would be someone in the community's centre, playing some kind of instruments. Alone or in a group, it varied, but it was always nice to enjoy when you could.
You were enjoying it for so long you barely noticed the sun starting to set and Carol finding you. "Couldn't catch you at the bakery today, was told you were given the day off."
She came to sit beside you, enjoying the music and sharing a small snack she brought with you.
After a short while she got up, turning to you and offering a hand. "Come, we're gonna see something. If I have to believe the baker's words you're gonna love it."
Carol's words confused you, the thought of the baker casually talking about you with her wasn't really a happy one. Yet you followed her every step as she made her way to the front gates of the Kingdom.
"We're heading out? Without weapons or gear?" There was nothing around for you to see, confusion rising even more and edging on annoyance. Why wouldn't she just way where you were going?
You stood and watched as as she bounced on her heels with her arms behind her back. She was being all giddy about something and your mind could not come up with what on earth it could be.
Option after option ran through your mind until the guards spoke and the gates started to open.
Carol passed you a smile and raised her brows as she nudged her head towards the gate before turning back to watch.
You took a step closer to see what she was on about, and within the reach of your first step a figure came into view between the large gate doors.
"Holy shit." You stood frozen, much like those few days ago when Daryl suddenly asked for additions to his bakery order.
Despite the distance between the two of you and the low volume of your words, it looked like he heard you and gave you a smile and a small wave.
The scene before you became crazier by the second, on his shoulders a large deer that he carried without any visible strain but that wasn't all. Tied to his waist with a thick belt he lugged a tarp stacked with different hunted animals.
But something else felt off, beside the show of inhuman strength he seemed to possess.
Out from underneath his hair poked an ear, like it did sometimes before as well, although they seemed.. pointed?
His smile as well. You had seen the stubby pointed canines he had, but there were loads of people who had those slightly longer than average. Why did they look bigger now, accompanied with a similar set on his bottom teeth that surely weren't there before.
Also, was he fuzzier than normal? It was all hard to see in the dim light. It could just have been dirt stuck on his skin from being out in the woods so long. Surely he didn't bother cleaning up out there.
All the while Daryl dragged his game inside and stopped to report to Carol, glancing your way every so often as he could feel the energy radiating off you. He was enjoying the way you stared at him with confusion that slowly morphed into something he almost wanted to categorize as adoration.
It wasn't often Daryl got that look from anyone, so to say he was suddenly more intrigued by the baker woman was an understatement.
"Hey," Daryl's voice pulled you from your thoughts, staring at him without a single word running through your mind. "Wanna help unload all'a this at the butcher?"
A silent nod was all you managed as you followed him, hearing Carol say something but not entirely registering her words.
It was the next day when you saw him outside of his usual routine yet again, before the time of his usual pickup. The early summer sun was up when you made your rounds, and so was Daryl.
Across the street from the butcher’s place was a small area that used to be a children’s playground where you caught him doing pull-ups, flannel hanging open over his torso that you secretly expected to be way more toned, but instead you saw lightly furred soft flesh.
He hadn’t noticed you as you moved past to the butcher’s doorstep where you’d leave her order, quietly mumbling to yourself as you stared at Daryl again. “Lords, I want that man to fold me like a lawn chair..” You were so lost in the view of him pulling up his full weight with just one arm, his legs crossed under him, that you didn’t hear the butcher arrive until she pat you on the shoulder. “I may not be into men, but even I can see the appeal of that old dog bending me over the nearest surface.”
The sudden contact made you squeak and jump away, only to be laughed at as you stumbled over your words before running along on your delivery route.
It was only a couple of seconds after you were out of earshot that Daryl appeared on the butcher's steps, shoulders shaking as he softly laughed at the interaction he heard all too well just a moment ago. "Yer horrible, ya know tha'?" He bumped her shoulder aa he walked past her, into the shop to start working on all the kills he brought back the day before.
The butcher let out a breath through her nose. "And you love me for it, mutt." Behind her she closed the door and flipped off the hunter, sticking out her tongue behind his back. "'Course I love ya, ya crazy knife wieldin' hag."
The rest of the day after running off at the butcher went fairly normal, Daryl picked up his order and you cleaned the place alone with the baker having to leave early for a meeting.
It was only when you closed up shop for the day that it got weird. Daryl stood outside, seemingly waiting with his arms crossed under short sleeves so tight you wondered how they hadn't cut off circulation yet.
Without missing a beat he pushed himself off the wall and stepped beside you. "C'mon. Wanna show ya som'n." His gruff voice could tell you to eat dirt and you'd do it so naturally you followed suit, walking around the community until you reached the homes placed at the far end, right at the forest wall.
You took in the beat up old truck with the hood popped and one wheel missing, and next to it inside the garage with the missing door a bike that looked like it was made over years of collecting parts. Was this his home?
You followed him inside the garage, the door in the back opening and leading into a small kitchen littered with tools and materials. The tea towel you gave him the bread in laid neatly folded on the corner of the messy table, not a single grease or oil covered item near it.
In the moment of distraction Daryl's hand landed on your hip as he scooted past you in the narrow space between the counter and the table, his crotch brushing your ass in the process.
He felt you become rigid at his touch and apologized. "Sorry, doll. Place ain't made fer two."
His hand remained in its place, squeezing as he apoligized making you want to just give in to your haunting daydreams and let him take you right then and there.
"So, what did you wanna show me again?" You were fidgeting, trying to calm your nerves with Daryl so close.
"S' upstairs. Sum ol' items ya can dig through. See if ya wan' sum." With a hand placed on your hip he led you upstairs, steering you around the corner and through one of the doors, ending with your knees pressed against a bed.
Before you had a chance to ask anything one of Daryl's hands came around your front, resting on your lower belly as the other one snuck around your chest. "How 'bout ya be a good girl fer me an' lemme fold ya like a lawn chair." His beard drug across your skin as he came to bite your earlobe. "Tha's what ya want, righ'? Got all hot 'n bothered when the butcher mentioned me bendin 'er over the counter.." with one hand sneaking under your waistband and the other softly squeezing your breast he had you whimpering.
"S'fine, righ'?" His hands stilled at your silence. "Words, doll. Ain' gon do anythin' unless ya give me an okay." His hands moved to cafefully turn you around to look you in the eye, but you quickly buried your face in his chest, hands against him as well and all your body wanted was to squeeze.
Squeeze your fingers into his plump, soft chest. Squeeze your thighs together for some desparately needed friction.
You softly nodded, murmuring something Daryl couldn't make out.
"Need ta hear ya." Daryl softly caressed your shoulder, moving to tilt your head up so you'd look at him.
Your eyes scanned his face, soft and gentle. Eyes glistening a bright blue between the thick, red scarred line that cut right through an eyebrow. Your eyes wandered to his lips, partially hidden by the grey scruff that occupied the lower half of his face as you breathed. "I want this."
With your eyes on his lips you saw his concerned look change into a wicked grin that showed his pointed canines.
In a split second after that you were thrown onto the bed and caged between Daryl's limbs, his face buried in your neck as he nipped and sucked at your skin.
"Go on." He whispered. "Take 'em off. I know ya wan' it." Daryl was on his way to the hem of your shirt already as you slowly worked your hands towards the buttons of of his flannel, undoing them with trembling fingers, focus drifting away with every drag of his teeth across your flesh.
With some assistance your top halves were soon bare. Daryl's hands on your soft chest, tongue all over them as he sucked bruises to the underside.
Your fingers found his hair, pulling at the strands in pleasure as the others traced every scar on Daryl's body. From the small puncture wounds to the large gashes on his back, you caressed each one of them.
Letting out short, panted breaths your body burned wherever Daryl's fingers trailed, the rough pads leaving a path of tingling flesh from your chest down to your side, his tongue following down your body between where his hands had gone.
With the descent of his body his scarred frame moved out of reach, placing both hands in his hair and tugging as his teeth dug into your skin, earning a growl that sounded from deep in his chest.
With newfound interest you pulled again, your nails scratching his scalp in the process as your hips rolled up against his torso.
The low, scratchy moan that left him rumbled against your hip and had him quickly slide his hands down your hips. With no effort you felt your hips rise as two strong hands grabbed your ass and fabric slide off your body. Both your loose trousers and panties were shoved down the rounds of your hips as they lifted off the bed, the fabric pulled off your legs before your knees ended on both sides of your chest and Daryl's teeth were back just below your bellybutton where the meat of your folded torso met in perfect, bite-sized rolls.
You watched him litter your stomach in marks, clamping his jaw onto your thighs to color your skin in where only he could admire them.
"Daryl, please.."
Your voice had him lock eyes with you from where he sat between your legs and watched your pleading gaze with a soft nod before leaning back down and licking a broad stripe over the back of your thigh, moving to delve his tongue right into your centre.
Your moans of his name added fuel to the already raging fire, parting your lips with his tongue and drinking up all of your sweetness. With each stroke against your clit your walls clenched around nothing, muscles tensing but your body laying unmoved under Daryl's strong grip.
You squirm, hands finding his on your thighs as you whine and mewl, signaling you being close to finishing.
"Such pretty sounds, all fer me.." Daryl speaks against your clit before wrapping his lips around it once more and teasing you, making you hold back your own thigh so his fingers could join his mouth, stuffing two down your entrance with ease as he kept licking and sucking in tandem with the curls of his digits.
Your sounds increase in volume with Daryl's ministrations, crying out at your peak, clenching your walls tightly around his fingers as you finished.
"'Ere, lemme stretch those legs fer ya." With gentle hands he laid your legs flat against the bed on either side of him, allowing the blood flow to return while you came down from your high.
You watched him with hazy eyes, on his knees between your legs tugging at the button and zipper of his black jeans. Beneath the oh so inviting trail of dark hair he lowered the layers still on him to reveal his thick, hard cock.
Your view was close to perfection, a gorgeous old man between your spread legs. The lines of his body like rings on a tree, showing signs of age and survival. From the scar at his collarbone, at the edge of the soft dusting of chest hair down to his thick strong legs he was removing his clothes from he was like a piece of art for you to admire as you desired.
And gods, you desired him.
"Ya look like ya wanna eat me alive." He looked down at you, one hand running through his hair while the other slowly stroked his cock.
You licking your lips as you stared at his impressive length was all he needed to ler himself fall forward and catch himself right before he'd make contact with you, calmly catching your lips in a deep kiss. With your tongue against his lips you asked for more and he obliged almost immediately, parting his lips and swiping his tongue against yours, lips moulding together in percect harmony until you desperately needed air.
Your hand lingered on the side of his head, thumb caressing the scar around his eye.
"What's the story on this one?" Daryl couldn't get enough of that look on your face. The one filled with curiosity, not a speck of fear or disgust on you.
"Old girlfrien' decided she didn' like me no more." He averted your gaze as he remembered the fight in the cabin back then, and the serrated edge of the knife catching the skin of his face. He deliberately left out the terms his then lover called him as she chased him out the door with a shotgun. That was a tale for another time.
Right now all he wanted was to ravish the woman underneath him.
The setting sun caught his eyes and for a fraction of a second they seemed to glow, icy blue in a sea of black. When they looked back at you it was gone, a pair of normal blue eyes looking at you.
He shook off the memories and brought his focus back to the now, to you underneath him, the scent of your arousal, and his painfully hard cock.
Daryl adjusted his position, his length rubbing your folds in the process earning a soft moan from you.
"Gonna make more o'them pretty noises fer me, doll?" His hand reached for his member and rubbed the tip between your folds, spreading your wetness around, listening to your soft mutters of "yes" and "please".
Daryl needed no more convincing, nuzzling your noses together before kissing you deeply as he slowly inches himself inside of you. The initial stretch hurt and you couldn't help but groan into the kiss at how big he was. His cock was way girthier than just two fingers, and it had been years since your last time before this.
Daryl's hand moved down your body, slowly rubbing your clit to distract from the stretch. His kisses deepened, your tongue sliding past his teeth, feeling around his fangs with fascination.
A soft whimper sounded from you as he bottomed out, making him halt a moment to let you adjust. "Ya tell me when yer good, 'kay?"
You nodded and answered a soft "uhuh." and a bit later, after a few experimental squeezes you told him you were good.
With his hand still on your hip Daryl carefully pulled back and slid inside at a slow and steady pace, letting you get used to him for a few thrusts until your heels came up to dig in his rear.
"Hmhm, eager are we?" Daryl grinned against your neck, taking the hint and quickening his pace. His hands had your hips in a bruising grasp, his hips snapping against yours earning soft gasps on each impact.
"H.. hah.. ah Daryl fuck--" you were a beautiful piece beneath him, with your head thrown to the side, arm covering your eyes and chest heaving and shaking with each thrust.
"So good, doll. So pretty for me." Daryl was huffing out a laugh, moving his hands off your hips to grab at your lower legs. Deep, short thrusts continued as he moved your legs from around him back to up beside your torso, knees pressed against your shoulders as he fucked into you with your ass up off the matress.
He was so deep all of a sudden it had you see stars, crying out his name aa your orgasm crashed down on you.
You were sweating all over, breaths deep to get enough air and body heavy. With your eyes closed you laid still, getting the air back into your lungs as Daryl teased you by softly rutting into your overly sensitive cunt.
"Don' tell me yer tired already, I haven't even finished yet.." His thrusts changed angles and now brushed your clit, having you mewl out pleas he chose to ignore. "Tha's more like it, music, those sounds o' yers." His thrusts continued, as did your pleas. You didn't even know what you were begging for but the knot in your belly was quickly returning in time with his thrusts getting sloppier, not long after crying out again as you came a few thrusts before je did too.
There were tears rolling down your face, laying limp on the bed. Daryl's hands had let go of your legs again, letting you stretch them for thr short moment before he was fully hard again.
Unexpectedly Daryl flipped you onto your stomach and moving your hips around to his preference.
"Time fer round two?" He wached you nod wit your face in the pillows, moving to slowly press inside you once more and bending down to press soft kisses to your back. Your mind went back to being hazy a few thrusts in with how good his cock felt at this new angle fist gripping at the pillows beneath you that muffled your moans.
His hands were all over your backside, kneading every soft surface he could reach as he continued his steady pace.
Your sounds were like music to his ears, wishing to hear them every night, over and over again until your throat was so soar he had to bring you medicine and nurse you back to health. Your curiosity was already enough to make him want you, never having anyone radiate such a type of energy towards him and it has him hooked. But having you here like this now had him almost addicted, wanting to keep you, claim you but he knew he didn't have the right to do so. He didn't deserve it, for he was sort of still lying to you about large aspects of his life.
But if he could make you feel this good now in this moment, that was all he cared about.
He fucked you from behind until you came once, twice and then moved you onto your side, holding onto one of your legs against his chest as je continued rutting into you, earning two more orgasms from you right before finishing himself for the second time.
As he came down from his high he stared at you, passed out and asleep beneath him. Ever so carefully he moved you so he could lay down as well, pulling you against his chest as he settled to drift off too.
It was morning by the time you woke up, groaning in pain as your legs resisted being moved off the bed. You blinked the sleep from your eyes and shot up off the bed. "Ah, god damn oww.." Your ass hit the matress again, the crunchy layer of dried fluids scratching your thighs.
"Oh for fuck's sake I'm gonna be late!" You stumbled around the place searching for the shower to scrub yourself clean, picking up your shirt off the floor and sniffing it. "Nope, can't wear that. Shit!" You found the bathroom and were vigorously scrubbing your legs and quickly back to digging through all of Daryl's drawers in a panic, trying to find something decent to wear.
"Ya know ya can just ask, right?" You didn't even register what he said and grumbled back at him. "I don't have time, okay? I'm already gonna be late for work and I got nothing to wear because my own clothes stink so I'm gonna have to run home first and be even later."
Face down in a drawer your attention was pulled by a short whistle, and the second you were up and turned towards the noise an entire outfit found your face.
Underwear, socks, simple sweats and a flanel.
"Why do you have a stash of women's clothes?" You were genuinely curious but that didn't stop you from struggling to put on the clothes with your entire body aching. "I don't even know how I'm gonna walk my rounds. Everything hurts.."
You were already dreading today and it had barely even started.
"Need me ta make yer rounds? Got time so I don' mind." Daryl was following you down the stairs now, hands ready to catch you as you stumbled, not wanting you to fall.down the stairs on your wobbly legs.
"No way I'm letting you do my rounds. I don't want the whole community on my neck tomorrow about why I sent you." You were halfway out the door already, walking as fast as possible and waving Daryl off on your not so fast way to work.
You arrived late and got told off for it, but the baker quickly changed his demeanor once he saw you limp. He gave you a quick rundown of what he had planned to do at the bakery and let you stay in as he took over your rounds, which you were very thankful for.
The front door bell rang and Carol appeared, a while after Daryl had dropped by for his usual, and bringing in a bag with your clothes.
"Hey, didn't see you this morning." Carol was as cheery as ever, her hair braided and her smile kind and motherly.
"Yeah," you leaned against the counter, wincing as you moved your weight. "Hurt my leg yesterday, so I'm in here thr whole day now." You tried to shrug it off, not feeling like coming up with a decent enough lie. Not that you needed one anyways.
"Which clearly has nothing to do with you spending the night at Daryl's place?" A knowing smile spread on her face as she looked you up and down, arms crossed over her chest, laughing as she watched your eyes about to pop out of your head in response. "You're wearing my emergency clothes. Looks like we have about the same size."
You felt blessed with today being a quiet day and could clean while you chatted with Carol and closed up shop after, with the baker off again while you ran the bakery.
"There's something wrong with that man." You sighed as you bent down to lock up the garage door, groaning as you came back up. "He's like, what? Almost sixty? And he still held out longer than me. I swear I passed out once before he was done."
Carol was giggling all the way with your bags in her hand. "He's fifty-four, but alright."
"Yeah, okay. That fifty-four year old would have kept going if I hadn't clocked out after lord knows how ma--"
"Five, doll." Daryl's voice suddenly behind you had you jump up and almost fall if it wasn't for his quick response to steady you.
"How the hell are you fine?" Your question was directed at Daryl, but your eyes were on Carol who was having the time of her life seeing you be so confused about her best friend's energy levels.
"There's a lot about Daryl you don't know yet, dear." She winked at her friend, who only grunted in response.
"Oh really? When are you planning on telling me all about yourself? Do I need to cook you a romantic dinner?" Your words came out with way too much excitement, letting out how eager you were to learn about Daryl.
"Ya'll learn eventually. No need ta rush things, righ'?" His voice kept cool, but Carol read his body language like a book and quickly saw he needed help to cross that line. Him scratching the side of his fingers, and obsessively wiping the hair out of his face, eyes looking everywhere but at you. They were all tells, and Carol felt bad for him.
"Why don't you two stay over for dinner? Ezekiel won't make it home in time so I'd be all alone otherwise." Carol quickly set up a plan, making it all seem like coincidence but in her mind she had all the steps figured out already.
"I'd love to stay over, but only if it's not too much effort." Peeking past Daryl you saw her wave your assumption off and assure it was fine.
And thus you three ended up around Carol's nice dinner table in the King's home.
Somehow you expected it to be fancy and pristine, but that would never happen with how selfless the King was.
The food was nice and Carol had gifted you some stronger painkillers she had laying around to ease your body, you all just chatted about your day, and you thought your subtle questions about him were going okay, until Daryl excused himself to go smoke what seemed in a hurry.
"It's okay honey, Daryl has a hard time opening up to people. He needs to find the right moments to talk." Carol gave you a loving shoulder squeeze and pointed you towards the back door where Daryl had just left through.
"He loves the forest, he feels safe there." With a wink she sent you off.
You carefully approached him and settled in the doorframe. "Hey," Your voice was soft as to not startle him. "Wanna go for a walk? Outside the walls."
With a nod he got up and offered you his hand to take, and with a sigh he let a smile come through. "Carol really set us up, didn't she?"
You laughed along with him and decided then you wouldn't push him, and let him talk at his pace.
With your gear gathered the two of you found yourselves walking along the tree line in silence.
"M' sorry." Daryl kept his eyes on the ground where he walked, but with his pinkie he touched yours and hooked them together.
"When Carol brought ya to welcome me back after the huntin' I was confused. But when I felt yer curious stares instead of gettin' negative 'n scared I got.." He fell quiet, his hand pulling away from yours but you quickly grabbed it fully, rubbing your thumb across his knuckles.
But you stayed quiet, and just walked with his hand in yours.
After a long stretch of only hearing the ground crunch under your shoes Daryl stopped.
"S'where I stay when I go out each month." You stood a few feet away from a rock wall, overgrown with green and a small clearing in it. Looking around you there was no way of being seen here from any angle.
You also saw trees with torn off branches and what looked like deep claw marks. "Should'a shown ya 'fore last night."
You looked over at him and made sure he saw you smile. "You really think anything would have changed my mind?" Your hands came up to his face to hold his gaze on you, hoping he'd see the truth in your eyes.
"I know yer not lyin'. Ya haven't lied since we started talkin'." His hand moved to touch the small of your back, the other one gesturing at the overgrown wall. "C'mon."
Daryl had his knife ready as he moved past some hanging vines with your hand in his to keep you close.
The area was void of any dead, except for the picked clean bones covering the ground.
And the seemingly random pile of fabrics and signs of humans staying here.
He let go of your hand and let you wander around, staring at every little thing.
You kneeled down off to the side, getting up to move some vines to let in more light before walking back.
"You stay here?" Your fingers traced the print in the sand, glancing over at Daryl who was slowly stepping closer with calculated steps, like a true huntsman would to not startle an animal.
Quietly he leaned down next to you, and without saying a word moved his hand to the print in the loose sand.
The world went blurry around Daryl's hand as you watched it change. Muscles under the skin warping to reshape as flesh darkened and nails grew, and then fit perfectly into the indentation.
Daryl was hyper aware of everything around him, senses almost overwhelming him as he felt the worms crawl under the earth and heard the birds fly over outside. But even with his senses running on overdrive he couldn't find a single negative feeling coming off you.
You stared at his hand, now more a claw and it felt like everything suddenly made sense.
His strength, the way he heard things from so far off, his way of using terms that didn't make sense and that strange glow in his eyes.
Daryl's mind kept showing you running away, crying as he got closer each time.
Instead, there in the small cave like structure he called home once a month, you reached out your hand and placed it on top of his changed one.
"I don't regret being curious." Your shoulder rested against his, slowly easing into more contact. "And I'm still happy I went home with you, and came here to see this. To see you." Your weight was now entirely resting against his side, and for the first time since he sat down he dared to look at you.
You, who laid comfortably against his side.
"I'm honestly kinda glad you showed me this." You watched Daryl raise his brows at your words. "Suddenly your strange but interesting things make sense. Kinda obvious for someone to be so strong, or have glowy eyes when they're not human."
Your hand gave his a comfortable squeeze. "I hope you'll show me all of this you one day." With a finger pressed to his knuckles you moved your head to kiss his cheek.
"Close yer eyes fer a minute." Daryl moved to stand after he kissed your head, moving behind you.
Noises filled the air. Clothes being undone and landing on the floor.
And then cracking. Tearing and groaning. Coughing and growling, a thud that acompanied a shove against your backside that almost made you turn around, but je asked not to, and you were going to respect his wish.
Once the noises died down and all you heard was deep breathing you opened your eyes again, staring straight forward as you waited. Waited for something to signal it was okay to turn.
That something was a press against your shoulder, a press and a huff of air against your exposed neck.
From the edge of your vision a nose peeked, making you turn and stare right into his scarred eye.
"Wow." It caught you off guard and you stubled backwards just a small bit, staring and laughing at yourself for falling on your ass. "Okay. Big guy. That's ..wow."
You followed his movements as he walked into your view. And you recognised him. All ofrhe features that made Daryl look like himself changed along with him, from the dark, shaggy mane to the scar and beard. Even his tattoos were spots of darker fur, especially clear on the lighter areas.
But, still..
"Wait. So Carol knows about," you wildly gestured at his entire self. "you know, this. She's seen you? And what about the butcher? That comment of hers, she knew."
You gasped in realisation. "You were testing me! You could hear us, you were there on purpose oh my god."
Daryl only sat and listened to your rambling. If anyone had asked him how he envisioned this scene to go, he would have never guessed this to be the way. Not that he was complaining or anything, he liked this.
He liked you, and you liked him too, even in this shape.
With a tap to your hand and his paw covering his eyes he asked you to look away once more, changing back to his human self and getting dressed before coming to press a kiss to your temple. "So, ya sure this's all fine?"
You stood up to join him at eye level. "You're either the most dense man ever, or are still convinced you don't deserve love just because you're different." Your deadpan look spoke more than needed.
"Yeah, alrigh'. Sorry." He shook his head in apology.
"You literally just turned into a goddamn werewolf." You paused. "Wait. That is correct, right? You're a werewolf? I mean, I don't wanna assume and be wrong, or offensive.."
He kept his head low but nodded, telling you were correct in your observations.
You stepped into his space and peppered his face with kisses, grabbing his hands to fake a sense of chaining him to you and it worked. He let himself melt into you and accept your affection.
Your love.
"Let's go home?"
With a nod he stepped back go retrieve your items. "Yeah. Home's good."
The walk home was silent, only sporadic and very random questions with short and simple answers.
Only when he dropped you off at home he spoke full sentences again. "I wan' ya t'move in with me."
You shrugged and nodded. "Yeah, okay. But we gotta clean the place first."
With a nod he agreed and let you go for the day. Only a week later moving the last of your items into his home after strategically cleaning and rearranging his home to accomodate two people.
That night, in bed all cuddled up together after a shower, Daryl pressed his lips against your jaw and uttered three simple words.
"I love ya."
A/N: Okay yeah damn that became way longer than I originally planned. But it wad fun! Hope you enjoyed it~

Part 2 of Woof Woof Konig
Content: Animal Injury (Non-Descriptive)
The walk back to your home is slow. Johnny stays glued to the new pup’s side - as much as he can given how the other towers over him. Ghost pulls ahead to patrol the path, always circling back to press his nose to your hand.
The new dog is so big that his head nearly reaches yours. He keeps his chin down, though, almost ducked, eyes flicking shyly to you. His eyes are big, one sky blue and the other deep brown.
When you reach the house, you nearly have to push his big butt in the door as he hesitates on the porch. Ghost stands watch behind you while Johnny tip-taps on the other side, and you pat at flanks breathing like bellows.
Finally, he inches far enough inside that Ghost can squeeze in and you can close (and lock) the door. You take a deep breath once you do, feeling the last hour crashing over you.
“Jeez, bud,” you sigh, offering your hand to your newest charge. “What a day, huh?”
A quiet, almost shy “snarf”. You grin and scritch gently at his chin, then flick your eyes to the bloody cut over his eyebrow. You click your tongue sadly.
“Alright, baby. We gotta take care of that. Then you can be done for the day, okay?”
You should probably take him to the vet - big fuckoff sized dog with an injury. But you can’t imagine trying to bundle him into your reasonably sized car. Even getting Ghost in there is a struggle the two times you’ve had to do it.
So you leave the pup awkwardly standing, trembling, by the door and collect the dog first aid. You also grab the jar of dog-safe peanut butter. Even Ghost loves that shit.
When you come back, the dog seems to droop when he sees the kit in your hands.
“I know baby, it’ll be okay. I got something that’ll make it better.”
You approach slowly, carefully, watching for any signs of fear aggression. Issue is, there’s every chance he could snap without warning, but you’re praying he’s not one of those. Your boys would go ballistic.
Thankfully, he lets himself be bribed with globs of peanut butter while you clean up the cuts around his head. There’s a chip taken out of his ear that nearly brings you to tears. And the poor boy only whines every once in a while, pressing his face into your chest while you work as quickly and gently as you can. No aggression, no lashing out.
In the end, you press your face to his neck and scratch gently at his shoulders.
“No one is ever going to hurt you again, honey. Not here, not with me.” You press a gentle kiss to his muzzle. “I take care of everyone.”
You get him settled with some blankets and a fresh bowl of food while you check on your boys. Ghost leans into your side while you cry a bit, whispering that you love him and he’s been so good.
Johnny whines and licks the tears away (smelling a bit like peanut butter of course) when you turn to him, pressing his face up under your chin.
“Such good boys,” you sniffle. “Dunno what I’d do without you.”
They practically baby you for the rest of the evening. One with you, one with the new pup, who’s resting and warming up by the heater, bowl empty. They don’t even bark too much when you decide to order food and the delivery comes - perhaps sensing that you’re too drained for their overprotective antics.
When it’s time for bed, you cross over to your new boy and scratch at his hind leg.
“You wanna come to bed, sweetie? You don’t have to, but I don’t want you to be alone out here.”
He stares at you, mismatched eyes way too big. You make one last kissy noise at him and then head to your room, Ghost and Johnny following as usual. Just as you’re about to turn off the light, a big form lumbers into your doorway.
“Hi bud!” you call softly, patting the mattress. “You wanna try coming up?”
He seems to consider it, eyeing the bed and the space available between you and the other two dogs, before politely walking to the dog bed. It’s technically Ghost’s bed, though he only uses it when you’re getting ready to go out.
“You can sleep there, sweetie. I’m sure Ghostie boy doesn’t mind.”
You glance at him as if to confirm, but Ghost is predictably pretending that you’re not talking. Grumpy boy hardly ever responds once he’s tucked into bed.
You smile as the new dog carefully climbs onto the cushion.
“Alright, good night boys. I love you.” You pause, make eye contact with your new pup. “Even you, bud.”
Late in the night, you could swear you hear voices. The low rumble of men talking. Even dream of someone kissing your forehead.

"i'm protecting my turf in my own way."
A 'PERKS OF BEING A HOUSEHUSBAND' DRABBLE.
pairing: min yoongi x reader
plot: the (mis)adventures of retired gangster min yoongi as he leaves behind the life of the mafia and navigates the way of the househusband.
warnings: the way of the househusband au, marriage au, crack, domesticity, yoongi unintentionally adopts an apprentice :O
masterlist + disclaimers.
note: in case u didn't know, i'm still currently on my aug-oct vacation (see details in pinned post!) and this post was scheduled in advance :> i has fun with this one 😂 hope u enjoy it and leave ur thoughts about it <3
Yoongi hates Wednesdays.
Wednesdays are usually when his favorite grocery store gets deliveries for fresh produce, and since they're freshly restocked, they tend to price them incredibly high. He usually counters this by using a gift card but then he remembers how he gave away his last remaining gift card to the two policemen from before.
So, yeah, Yoongi hates this particular Wednesday. But he carries on because your fridge is running low on food and he needs to do his weekly grocery run.
He's strolling down the sidewalk, signature 'poodle' apron on and mesh tote bag on his shoulder. He's about a block away from the store when he sees a familiar face.
A face from his past. With blonde hair and a boxy smile.
"Taehyung?"
"Hyung-nim?!"
Taehyung looks at him in shock, his face roughed up and bruised, before practically bursting with tears in relief. He runs up to Yoongi and wraps him in a hug.
"Hyung-nim! It's really you!"
"Don't hug me."
Taehyung pulls away. "Where are you going?"
"On an assignment."
Yoongi pats him on the back before moving to continue his walk to the grocery store. Curious and excited, Taehyung follows him, chatting his ear off.
"Where've you been, hyung? Since you disappeared, the gang's practically in shambles. I've tried looking for you everywhere. Oh, and what's this assignment you're talking about? Is it important—"
Yoongi cuts him off when they arrive at the store's entrance.
"It's very important. And I'm gonna need your expertise."
Taehyung gulps.
"Of course, hyung-nim. Let me help."
Yoongi smiles manically.
"Good. Now let's get to work."
Taehyung fully expected to do some dirty work. In the past, Yoongi always used to ask for his expertise with the computer and other tech stuff. What he didn't expect was for Yoongi to ask him for his expertise on fruit.
"Choose the freshest ones, Taehyung. I trust your judgment."
They stand before the strawberries section, and after a quick discussion about how a strawberry's leaves help tell whether they're ripe or not, Yoongi tells him to choose the best strawberries that can be made into homemade jam.
Taehyung rubs his eyes, looks at his former gangmate, then rubs his eyes again. He stares at the grocery cart full of fresh produce, toilet paper, scented candles, fabric conditioner, and dog food, among others. His eyes then move to his former gangmate's 'poodle' apron and the mesh tote bag on his shoulder.
"What the fuck is this?" he asks, his blood boiling.
"What are you talking about?"
"What the fuck are you doing, hyung-nim?" Taehyung's voice starts to rise. "What's all this? What are you doing playing house?"
He grabs Yoongi by the collar and tries to shake him but his former gangmate remains sturdy.
"The Agust D we know would never be caught dead doing all this, so what the fuck are you doing?!"
And the Agust D that Taehyung knows would've blown up and retaliated by now with how the younger man is treating him. But this Yoongi just grabs Taehyung's hands and pulls them away from his collar.
"Taehyung," Yoongi says calmly, "I'm done with all that."
"W-What?"
Yoongi fixes his top and straightens his apron out.
"I'm a househusband now."
Taehyung gapes at him.
"I'm protecting my turf in my own way," he continues. "You can't protect what's sacred to you through violence."
What?!
Then Taehyung still doesn't understand even when Yoongi makes him help put everything away in the different cupboards. And Taehyung still doesn't understand even when Yoongi makes him help cook up some homemade strawberry jam.
Taehyung doesn't understand.
But Yoongi doesn't give him time to understand before he's finishing up the grocery run and making the younger man help him carry the grocery bags back to the apartment.
But Taehyung finally understands everything when you arrive.
"Yoonie! I'm home!"
Taehyung sees you walk through the front door, greeting your husband hello and asking him where your poodle is. He sees you, all pretty and charming, being doted on by your ex-gangster husband. He sees you, a goddess with ethereal beauty, make someone like Yoongi, who he thinks of as a god, cater to you and respond to your every whim.
Taehyung understands now.
Agust D never really disappeared. He just found a new master to serve.

Fresh Delivery |Negan S. X Fem!Reader | PT. ONE
Warnings: mentions of blood, explicit language, guns, kinks, cursing, negan being smug, mentions of iprisonment.
Story: Negan discovers a suspicious crate of fresh fruit. In order to keep anyone from dying Rick has to give up the secret about your farm. At first you can't stand Negan, but in the short time you've known him, he leaves a lasting sort of impression.
“Well." Negan drawls, turning his back to his men as they work to gather the last of the supplies. Every bullet, can of food, and hope snatched from the good people of Alexandria.
"Everything seems to be in order, Rick." He gives the officer a harsh pat on the shoulder, before he reached down to pry Lucille from his grasp. "You're band of heroes are doing a bang up job of gathering all this shit." He gestures to the items with the end of Lucille as Rick stood in silence giving Negan that famous ‘stink eye’, as he liked to call it. He was going to correct him for it, but as soon as he thought to chastise him one of the soldiers had a little slip up.
They had let one of the cases of fruit tip over. Fresh tomatoes, apples, and other delights tumble out onto the concrete. Leaving brusies behind on the skin as they thumped and rolled to a stop at the two men's feet. This said fruit was currently being looked over by Negan, who had not seen a single sign of a garden since taking over. His eyes narrowed and his grin returned. The air grows cold and tense as he bends down to pick up one of the apples. Rick’s whole body is frozen in place as Negan examines the fruit then slowly turns to face him.
“Rick?" The brunnette casts his gaze down before looking up at him. He holds up the ruined fruit, “Do you have any idea where these little delights came from?"
Surely the truth was just as dangerous as a lie. Either way someone would get hurt. Rick would only hope he'd just punish him by taking more supplies, but that wasn't how things worked. So a lie it was. “We found trees-“
“Bull-fucking-Shit.” He hisses, tossing the apple aside and pressing Lucille to his chest, tapping it ever so lightly, not even bothering to let Rick finish the lie. Negan wasn't dumb. He didn’t like it when people tried to make him look that way, sure he believed in a little fun but he got the shit done.
Apparently nobody learned anything from a few days ago, after he beat the crap out of two of the most important people in Rick’s original gang. Not a single thing. “Did you not learn your lesson the first time?” He snarls, hazel eyes narrowing dangerously as he eyes the dumbfounded expressions on Rick's face. Oh he caught him alright. “So, quit feeding me shit and tell me where the fucking fruit came from!”
Rich shakes his head a huffs in defeat. Sweat dripping from his brow as he locked eyes with Negan and gave in. “It’s a small farm.” He finally gives in. “She gives us fruit, in exchange for very little-"
“Oh, she?” His interest is piqued at the mention of a woman. “You let a little lady fend for herself, Rick. That’s cold!” He lets out a rolling chuckle, and smiles. It was odd that anyone would choose to be on their own versus living in a nice community. However, he knew that being on a farm was also a smart choice.
“Well lets go pay her a visit!” He waves his hand, and the other Saviors work quickly to pick up the fruit that fell. The other members stood in a small crowd watching their every move. Negan throws his hands up in the air. “We’ll give her the good ol’welcome wagon!” He hands off Lucille to Dwight, who lowers his weapon to take the bat. The leader turns and grabs Rick by the collar of his shirt, dragging him off like he was some dog towards one of the trucks, “Arat! We’ll be back. Keep an eye on the Brady bunch, will yah!”
It had been at least a week since Rick had come to see you. The Alexandrians had become close friends of yours after discovering your lovely little farm, which had been lucky enough to outlast the horrible world that surrounded the small walls of the land. Most farmers didn’t build walls like the ones you’d been graced with but it was necessary way before the biters walked the earth. From deer, to boars, and other such rodentia it prevented unnecessary destruction to the fresh garden and small patch of crops blessing your land. When Rick and his gang first came across the farm you were dry adamant about privacy, but grew to enjoy the company, and decided to pass on small crates of fresh foods on occasion since it was only you left standing to defend the farm.
However as you had been careful as to keep track of their visits, you’d notice it’s been a few days almost bordering on five since seeing Rick last. It was odd. Maybe they were busy with the herd. You knew that they had been planning for the worst, but you weren’t exactly sure. So you decided to make the decision to make the delivery yourself, you’d an abundance of fruit, veggies, and bread this season and you surely weren’t going to use it all before it was going to spoil.
As you gather the last of the fruit into one of the wooden crates, there was an unusual loud rumble from outside your gate. It sounded like a car, maybe two. Maybe it was Rick or maybe anyone from Alexandria, you drop the basket of tangerines and rush out to undo the wooden bar locking the metal gate in place. The walls were just high enough to provide coverage from the outside. So you missed the large truck and were in such a rush to make sure you’re friend was safe. So when the doors swung open to reveal Rick but not just him your face fell. He stood next to a much taller man stood behind him, his left arm hung around his broad shoulders. A large truck sat off to the side, one guy inside, and another tall, skinny, dirty blonde hair had a gun aimed on you and Rick.
The more animated one sported a huge grin and cocked his brow. "Ding-dong. Sorry I didnt ring the bell, darlin'."
You stood frozen watching between the two before you were able to say something, “Who?” You gasp, “What’s going on?” You are shocked by the situation. Had he turned on you?
“Listen, I’m so-”
“Ah, none of that Rick.” The older man speaks, swinging his right hand, handling the bat laced with barbwire up in his direction. You stumble back and he chuckles, “Dwight keep an eye on that will yah?” He shoves Rick towards the man he addressed, the guy in the truck sat unmoving watching. Rick shot this man a glare, but it was cut short by Dwight knocking him down on his knees. You lunged forward in order to help Rick, but your kept at bay by the quick movement of the stranger swinging out his bat towards your chest.
“Ah, not so fast darlin’. Rick deserved that one, he kept this little slice of heaven a secret then lied about it.” He was kind to inform you, “See Rick and his community are now under new management, but he still seems to forget the rules.” He chuckles, shoulders shrugging as he glanced back at Rick.
“Negan.” Rick hisses, “Leave her out of this. She’s on her own.” The bat at your chest lowers but does nothing to help steady the increasing beat of your heartbeat, the rise and fall of your chest comes in rapid movements.
“Ho-ly Shit!” Negan speaks out suddenly, “It’s just you out here?” He asks. As if he didn't figure that out back at the community.
You open your mouth to answer by are cut short by him once more, “Fancy livin’ you got there sweetheart. A little garden, some fresh crops, maybe a cow or two in the barn.” He tosses the weapon in his hands back and forth as he swaggers closer towards you. “So where is mama and pop-pop. I wanna meet the Mr. and the Missus."
With everything that happened in the moment, all of your adrenaline and confusion, you reached out and smacked him. Rick, despite his position, knew how Negan would react to such an action, and he wanted to help you, but the barrel that dug into his temple kept him still. "Not an inch." Dwight reminded him.
The man in the truck moved to aim his own weapon towards you. Negan holds him off with a wave of his hand. He chuckles, throaty and heartfelt, almost if he had enjoyed it.
“Day-yumn!” He nearly shouted, “You got quite a hand on yah, sweetheart.” He laughs as you clench your hands at your sides. He waits for a response or some kind of sass, but you say nothing. He leans down to be eye to eye, “Why don’t you give me a tour huh?” At this proximity you can smell the bitterness of beer and brisk scent of pine. When he didn’t get the reaction he wanted, he reached his gloved hand under your chin, finger digging into the flesh of your cheeks, “I said give me a fucking tour, princess. Don’t make me ask again.” He growled, your eyes trailing up his face.
Now you could really take in his features this close. The well trimmed peppered heart, perfect lips, hazel eyes you could lose yourself in. Sure he may have insulted your intelligence, but it felt good to have a man put you in your place. “Yes, Sir.” You reply without a beat. His lips pull into a smirk and he chuckles.
“See, Rick! We’re gettin’ along just peachy.” He finally releases your face and the dull ache in your jaw is only an afterthought as he kindly places a hand on your lower back and ushers you further towards the garden. “B-R-B.” He sings leaving his men to watch over Rick.
The gravel crunches beneath the weight of your steps as you and Negan approached the garden abundant with many fresh goodies. He swings his bat as he walks, "So what's your name, sweet cheeks?"
"Y/N, and that's all you're going to get out of me."
"Oh we'll see about that darlin'." Negan chimes in.
((So I had this all planned out and I think it'll do better in multiple parts. So keep checking back for more! Thank you for reading 📚))

How to Find the Best Dog Food for Your Needs
Dog Food: How to Find the Best Dog Food for Your Needs
When it comes to the well-being of our canine companions, one of the most crucial decisions we make as pet owners is selecting the best kind of dog food; the market is inundated with a plethora of options, ranging from dry kibble to wet food, raw diets, and even homemade meals. Each type of dog food comes with its own set of advantages and considerations, making the decision a complex one for pet owners seeking to provide optimal nutrition for their furry friends.
Understanding Canine Nutritional Needs:
Before delving into the debate over the best kind of dog food, it is essential to comprehend the nutritional requirements of dogs. Dogs, like humans, require a balanced diet that includes proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals to support their overall health and well-being. The specific nutritional needs of a dog may vary based on factors such as age, breed, size, activity level, and any underlying health conditions.
Types of Dog Food:
Dry Kibble: Dry kibble is one of the most commonly consumed types of dog food. It is convenient, cost-effective, and has a long shelf life. Many dry kibble brands are formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of dogs at different life stages. However, some critics argue that dry kibble may contain fillers, preservatives, and artificial additives that could potentially be harmful to dogs.
Wet Dog Food: Wet dog food, often sold in cans or pouches, is another popular option. Wet food typically has a higher moisture content than dry kibble, which can be beneficial for dogs who do not drink enough water. Some pet owners prefer wet food for its palatability and the variety of flavors available. On the downside, wet food can be more expensive and may have a shorter shelf life once opened.
Raw Diet: A raw diet consists of uncooked ingredients such as raw meat, bones, fruits, and vegetables. Advocates of raw diets believe that this type of food closely mimics what dogs would eat in the wild and can promote better digestion, healthier coats, and increased energy levels. However, critics raise concerns about the risk of bacterial contamination and the potential for nutritional imbalances in homemade raw diets.
Homemade Meals: Some pet owners opt to prepare homemade meals for their dogs, using fresh, whole ingredients. Homemade meals allow for greater control over the quality and variety of ingredients used. However, formulating a balanced and nutritionally complete homemade diet can be challenging, requiring careful planning and consultation with a veterinarian or canine nutritionist.
Factors to Consider:
When determining the best kind of dog food for your furry companion, it is crucial to consider several factors:
Nutritional Content: Look for dog food that meets the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) standards for complete and balanced nutrition. Check the ingredient list for high-quality proteins, fats, and essential nutrients.
Life Stage: Consider your dog's age and life stage when selecting food. Puppies, adult dogs, seniors, and pregnant or nursing dogs have varying nutritional needs that their diet should address.
Breed and Size: Larger breeds may have different dietary requirements than smaller breeds. Some breeds are prone to specific health issues that can be managed through diet.
Health Considerations: If your dog has any health conditions, such as allergies, sensitivities, or digestive issues, choose food that addresses these concerns. Prescription diets may be necessary in some cases.
Ingredients: Opt for dog food with high-quality, whole ingredients and avoid artificial additives, fillers, and by-products. Look for named protein sources and limited ingredients to minimize the risk of allergies.

Strategic Confession
Kirara: knock knock knock
Gorou:*opens door*
Kirara:It’s me! Your favorite delivery girl with a prestine package for you!
Gorou:Oh, so now you’re my favorite?
Kirara:Must be. I get told when I’m requested~ hehehe.
Gorou:Nobody can deny you do good work. Is the box okay?
Kirara:Of course! Same day freshly snipped flowers in a vase; vertical standing box with reinforced packaging for bumpy sea travel. You really know how to sweat the details.
Gorou:If I don’t then floral and vegetation don’t survive the trip. Growing things over here is already quite the challenge with healthy crops.
Kirara:Living in a place where fresh water still smells salty is probably why. Anywho, here ya go. Please sign.
Gorou:Wanna see what they look like? You’ve already been through all the trouble.
Kirara:Oooo I’m game!
She uses one of her claws to cut along the box seam to open it effortlessly. Inside was a lovely brown and light mosaic vase that held the most luscious tiger lilies anyone has ever seen. Her gaze was captivated as Gorou pulled one out to show its glory in full bloom.
Kirara:Wooooow. I didn’t even know the petals could get this wide! You must’ve paid a good amount for this quality.
Gorou:It’s all worth it. They’re hard to come by. Here, take it.
Kirara:I can have one!?
Gorou:Of course. After all, *red* they’re all for you anyways.
Kirara:…Huh?
Gorou:These flowers are for you, because you were right. You are my favorite delivery girl; also my favorite friend, and I think about you a lot. I’d like you to think about me a lot too. The way I think of you, Kirara.
Kirara:*blushing* You….made me deliver my own flowers?!
Gorou:Well you’re always busy and I didn’t want to rob your time of work! This was all I could think of!!
Kirara:Well…that’s very thoughtful! *holds flower*…. There’s absolutely no way for me to carry this vase back now.
Gorou:I was thinking you could come back for it later this evening; after it’s done being a center piece at my dinner table tonight?
Kirara:You…You really thought ahead huh?
Gorou:I am a general. So, Kirara, well you go out with me?
Kirara:….*swaying* I get off really late. Also my hours can get long.
Gorou:That’s fine.
Kirara:I also really, really like attention despite being so carefree and independent! *swaying* Like you wouldn’t believe how much I-
Gorou:Perfect.
Kirara:….I can be back at nine.
Gorou:Your food will be warm and ready.
Kirara…..You seriously made me carry my own flowers.
Gorou:You’re getting five stars!
Kirara:Pffft hahahaha!
Gorou:Hehe, look, I get the plan was a little convoluted but-
Kirara:You’re a real dog, y’know that~
She leaned in quickly, taking hold of his face gently and giving the young man a kiss. Kirara sneakily slid the flower back into his hand while taking her clipboard before walking backwards with a smile on her face.
Kirara: Thank you for the tip.
She transformed into a cat and darted off to finish her shift on time. Gorou’s plan was a complete victory, yet as he silently looked at the flower, he felt as if Kirara has once again gained the upper hand. His face burned bright pink as his tail wagged.
Gorou:I’m so doomed.

"Alright, you can just put the last box in the kitchen, and after that, we're all done," you say to the mover, and he does. You're getting out your wallet to pay them for their hard work and time, and when they're gone, you're plopping yourself down on your couch.
Today is the first day of your new life, fresh out of college and starting your new job soon. As much as you love your parents, you're thrilled that you've decided to move to Boston.
With a soft sigh, you get your phone and start looking for some restaurants offering take-out, ultimately deciding to get some Chinese food for yourself.
When you look out the window, you see a pretty well-built man with sunglasses and a baseball cap walking his dog, and you can't help but look a little longer than perhaps appropriate, but you're in the comfort of your own home, so no one can blame you for doing it.
When the food is ordered, you unpack some boxes in your kitchen and get them out of the way so you don't have to do it later. When you have emptied a few boxes, you flatten them and bring them to your car so you can recycle them later, and that's when you happen to see the handsome man again.
It turns out he lives across from you, and when he noticed you staring, you quickly wanted to get away, but you bumped your head in the process.
"Shit!" you say softly as your cheeks turn bright red, and you notice the man smiling from behind his window before walking back into his house, and you do the same, with shame washing over you.
When you're back inside, your doorbell rings, and your food is here, so you take it from the delivery guy and tip him generously for his work.
Seeing how you unpacked in the kitchen, you can grab a plate and some cutlery before dropping on the couch and putting on your favorite series on your tablet since your TV isn't mounted yet.
Over the next few days, your house is being put together, and more and more boxes are finding their way to recycling. Coincidentally, you've seen your neighbor quite a few times, too, but not because you were waiting for him to be outside or in front of his window.
You've been settling in for a few weeks now, and you're getting used to your new job as a criminologist at Boston PD. Today is your day off, and you have decided to bake some cookies and introduce yourself to your new neighbor across the street.
You've met all the others, but since he has a dog, it's been quite challenging for you to go over there and say hi. Today is the day that will change, is what you tell yourself.
With your chocolate chip cookies and a few safe for dogs, you walk over to the other side of the street, ready to meet the mystery man.
Your palms are increasingly sweaty as your feet bring you closer to his front door. When you're there, you place your feet firmly on the ground to gently ground yourself, and you ring his doorbell.
You hear his dog barking and close your eyes shut, repeating, 'It's just a dog; he won't hurt you; there's no need to be nervous' in your head. When the lock clicks, you dare to open your eyes, but when that very same dog walks over to you, you can't help but take a step back.
"Dodger, c'mere boy!" the man says, and you let out a sigh of relief that you hope the man didn't hear.
"I-I'm sorry, I'm not used to being around dogs," you stumble, and Chris apologetically smiles.
"It's alright, he won't hurt you, but if you're not comfortable being around him, he can stay inside," he tells you, and you nod.
"T-thank you. I, uh, these are for both of you. I moved in a couple of weeks ago, across the street. And I thought it'd finally be time I introduce myself," you say softly as you try your hardest to focus on the man in front of you instead of his dog.
"Oh, that's super nice, thank you! I'm Chris Evans, and this is my dog Dodger, as you already know," he says with a big smile as he takes the cookies from you.
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N, and I didn't realize I lived across a celebrity; I'm sorry. I shouldn't have come here and disturbed you," you tell him, turning on your heels and jogging back to your house.
When you arrive, you quickly open your door and slam it shut before leaning against it and sliding down until you're sitting on the floor, and tears threaten to fall.
"Why can't I just get over my nerves and talk to him?!" You scold yourself.
It's been a few weeks since you went to Chris' house, and even though you wave every time you see him, you never talk to him.
That is until you're invited to a neighborhood barbecue, and Chris is invited as well. After thinking about it for a few days, you accept the invitation and get a new dress.
You tried many options, and finally, go for a black and white polka dot maxi dress and a pair of black and brown wedges to finish the look.
Your hair is up in a simple ponytail, and you wear some light make-up to not detract from the outfit. When it's time to go over to your neighbor's house, you run into Chris, and he can't help but do a double-take when he sees you.
"Hey, Y/N!" he says as he waves at you, and he waits for you to cross the street so you don't have any other choice than to face your embarrassment right now.
"Chris, hi," you say softly, silently cursing yourself out for how you sound.
"How is everything going?" he asks, and for some reason, you have forgotten all the words and can't say anything. Not only are you nervous around his dog, you're shy around him, too, because he's a celebrity.
He looks at you with worry, and when you look at him, he can see the tears threatening to spill.
"Hey, what's going on? Let's sit down for a moment," he says as he walks you back to the porch swing before your door, hoping to calm you down.
"I-I'm sorry, it's stupid," you sigh as you wipe away your tears. "I'm not even sure why I'm crying, honestly," you say.
"Hey, it's okay. And I want you to know I'm not mad at you or anything for how you reacted when you met me. I get that it can be a lot to meet a celebrity, let alone meet their dog when you're not used to it," he says, and you nod.
"Can I... Can I touch you? I want to rub your back, nothing else," he asks, and you nod again. When you feel his large hand splayed on your back, you let out a sigh of relief. Maybe he isn't so bad after all.
"I'm sorry for my reaction today and a few days ago. Growing up, I've never been around dogs, and even though I like them a lot, I am still a little nervous around them. My parents are both highly allergic to them, so I could never visit friends who had dogs because of that," you tell him, and Chris' heart breaks a little.
"While I get it, it still sucks. But would you maybe like to meet Dodger? Like I said, he won't hurt you or anything; he's just a little enthusiastic," he says, and you smile.
"Maybe another day; I believe we have a barbecue to attend," you say, and he laughs.
"Right, I completely forgot about that. Want to be my plus one to the barbecue?" He jokes, and you nod.
"I thought you'd never ask!" you joke, and the two of you smile wide, all your insecurities about him being a celebrity long forgotten.
Ever since the talk you had with Chris, you have gotten more comfortable with being around him, and today is the day you're going to his house to meet Dodger for the first time.
You've prepared yourself by giving yourself a lengthy speech, and you brought him some of his favorite snacks to help win him over, too, after asking Chris if that might help.
You opted for a simple summery outfit today, and when it's time to go to Chris' house, you give yourself a few more words of encouragement.
"You can do this; there is nothing to be nervous about. Chris is there with you, and Dodger won't do anything bad," you say, and after putting on your sunglasses, you cross the street, some cookies for Chris and treats for Dodger in your hand.
You ring his doorbell, and this time, it's just Chris opening the door, ensuring you are comfortable without Dodger jumping all over you.
"Hey you!" he says as he pulls you in for a hug, which you gladly give back.
"Hi! I brought cookies for you as a thank you for doing this; I can't tell you how much this means, so I hope my cookies can do just that," you say, and he laughs.
"Thanks, you didn't have to do this, but I'm grateful for them," he says before asking you to come in.
"Can I get you something to drink? After that, I figured we could go to the backyard and sit outside so you can meet him properly there," he says, and you nod.
"Just a Coca-Cola is fine, thank you," you tell him, and he grabs one and water for himself before leading you to the backyard.
The two of you sit outside for a little while before he's going to get Dodger, and you're thankful for that because you're already feeling much more comfortable right now.
"Okay, here he is!" Chris says, and you notice he's holding Dodger with a leash, and even though you feel bad that he's leashed in his own house, you're glad too because it gives you a little peace of mind.
"Hi, Buddy," you say, and when Chris tells you to hold out your hand, you do it, hoping it's not shaking too badly. Dodger comes over to sniff it and quickly approves, already asking for scratches.
"Oh, you're such a sweet boy, aren't you? I had no reason to be nervous around you, did I?" you say while giving him some lovely scratches behind his ear.
"Thank you for doing this, Chris. It really means a lot," you say, and he nods with a big smile.
"Anything for you," he says, and you can't help but turn red at the words.
It has been a few months since you've been introduced to Dodger, and now you're seeing him more often than not, spending a lot of time at his house.
Today, however, Chris and Dodger are coming to your house for dinner instead of you always going to his. You began feeling guilty for always going over there, so you invited them to your home.
You've spent almost all day cleaning your house to make it perfect for when Chris comes over, and now you're preparing dinner. Tonight, you're making a nice and creamy pasta with seafood, which is your favorite.
Once that is simmering away, you go and prepare for dinner and decide to wear your black and white playsuit to fit the weather outside. Your hair is in a ponytail, and you're also wearing a pair of flat sandals.
You have set up your outside seating area for dinner and dessert, waiting for Chris and Dodger to arrive. Not long after, they are here, and you hear the doorbell, making your heart skip a beat.
When you open the door, Dodger immediately greets you, and you crouch down to give him scratches on his back and behind his ears, greeting him happily.
"Hi! Are you excited to visit my house for the first time?" you ask the dog, and before you know it, he finds his way inside and sniffs everything.
"Hi, Chris," you say, but before he answers, he leans down to kiss your cheek as a greeting.
"Hi, thanks for having us for dinner tonight; I can't wait to see what you've made," he says, and you lead the way inside, showing your house and eventually outside.
"Dinner is just about ready, so if you get settled, I'll be right with you," you say, and he does, looking handsome as ever with his sunglasses and full beard.
Not long after, he sits down, and you're walking outside with two big plates of pasta. Chris immediately sits up to see what you've made, his mouth watering at the smell.
"Wow, this smells amazing!" he says, and you walk back inside to grab a bottle of Pinot Grigio and two glasses to pour it in. When both glasses are filled, you cheer for a long friendship, and the pasta is gone before you know it.
"Are you ready for dessert? I made something for the two of us as well as something for Dodger to cool him down a bit in this weather," you say, and you could swear you just saw Chris' eyes twinkle when you said that.
When you come back, you first have the treats for Dodger because you still need to make the sauce for the sticky toffee pudding you've made today.
"I made treats of Greek yogurt with strawberries and blueberries for him that are frozen, so he can have something healthy and cool down at the same time," you say, and you show the treats in the form of bones.
"Oh, those are adorable! Just like you," he says, and you feel yourself turn bright red at the compliment.
"I, uh, thank you," you say, and you quickly run inside to finish your dessert. When the sauce is done, you pour it into a little gravy boat and take it outside on a serving tray.
"Alright, here's one sticky toffee pudding for you and one for me!" you say, and you pour some sauce on both of your desserts. The dessert is gone within no time, too, and Dodger has also thoroughly enjoyed his treat and is taking a nap in the cool shadow.
When you get up to clean the table and do the dishes, Chris gets up and helps you, so it's done much sooner than if you would do it alone.
Your elbows and arms touched a few times, and your fingers brushed past each other a couple of times when you handed dishes to one another, sending tiny sparks through your body.
"Shall we go sit outside and enjoy the rest of the evening together on your porch swing?" Chris asks, and you nod, so the two of you are sitting in front of your house; Dodger is lying by your side as you enjoy the beautiful sunset together.
"I'm glad you finally gave us a chance because I don't think I could've waited much longer if you hadn't come over," he says, and you blush a little.
"I'm still sorry about that, but I'm glad I finally did it as well," you say with a soft sigh. Chris wraps his arm around your waist to pull you closer, and your head leans against his chest.
The two of you stay like that for a bit longer while continuing your conversations, and when the sun is almost gone, Chris moves a little, and his hand cups your cheek softly, his thumb rubbing your cheekbone.
"Can I kiss you?" he asks in a low whisper, and you say a soft yes.
He leans in, and your lips brush past each other briefly before he presses his soft, pink lips against yours, and the world seems to come to a halt suddenly.
Your hands find their home on his waist to ground yourself, and the kiss seems to go on forever. When you finally break apart, keep your eyes closed for a few more seconds.
When they flutter open again, you look into Chris' beautiful eyes, and a grin immediately spreads across your face.
Dodger appears to get a little jealous and is now jumping between the two of you so he can get some scratches, too, and you can't help but laugh.
"Alright, Buddy, you can have some scratches and kisses too," you say, kissing his head while he settles for some belly scratches.
The rest of the evening is spent in Chris' arms, exchanging small kisses and many scratches until it's time for Chris to head home since you have to work the next day.
"Thank you for everything tonight, and I can't wait to see you again," Chris says before he pulls you close for one more kiss, unable to stay away for long, but you're not complaining.
"Let me know when you arrive home, okay? I want to know if you arrive safely," you say, and he does. He waves at you when he crosses the street and stands on his front porch.
"I arrived safe!" he yells, and you can't help but laugh at his weird antics. God, you've fallen head over heels for this man and couldn't be happier.
"Good, now go to sleep, old man!" you joke, and with that, the two of you wave one more time before going into your own houses.
Life is pretty incredible right about now.

lunch date- m.schumacher
pairing: mick schumacher x reader word count: 700 a/n: blegh
You loved your job. At times, it was the only thing that you felt like you had control over in your life, a constant in a vast ocean of chaos with an ever changing current. You could do without the early mornings some days, especially on chilly winter mornings when you forget to start your car before leaving or the coffee maker takes a crap or you forgot to change the laundry and your favorite pants are still soaked in the washing maching. All those things were trivial in the grand scheme of things, though. Work was great. Great coworkers, great bosses, great facilities, and great work. You knew with a hundred and ten percent confidence that you had set yourself down the right path all those years ago before graduation.
You loved your job, except when Mick was visiting. When your boyfriend, who was long-distance even when he wasn’t travelling to races, was sitting in your apartment all day being all cozy on the couch and cooking meals in your kitchen and playing with your dog, you resented work.
I miss you, you would text him more when he was visiting than when he was away. It was almost harder, knowing he was right there and you couldn’t stay in his company, stay in the warm bed, watch your favorite movies on the couch and eat the food only he could make taste good.
You’ll be home soon, he would always reply because he knew if he said I miss you too, you’d be halfway home before the message even went all the way through.
The phone in your office rang a little before lunch and you answered it without second thought, mid-email, only half-focused on the voice on the other end. There’s a delivery for you in the lobby, the front-desk associate spoke, and you promised to be down shortly to pick it up. You hung the phone back on the line and returned your attention to your email, finishing the task before you stepped into the elevator. It was on the ride down you’d realized how strange a request it was. You never have anything delivered to work, and when you do, they always bring it to your office with any company mail you’d received. You’d never had to go to the lobby to pick up anything outside of a food delivery before.
He’s waiting for you in the lobby–jeans and a cozy sweater and carry-out from your favorite lunch spot. He’s lingering at the front desk, making small talk and laughing at one of the receptionist’s jokes and charming everyone to death, just like always. “What are you doing here?” You ask as you approach, his head shoots in your direction and his smile flips from a polite purse to a genuine grin.
“I brought lunch.”e holds up the bag like a proud little kid.
You eat together on the bench on the sidewalk outside. It’s the perfect temperature out and the sun is shining and the air smells like the fresh bread from the bakery that’s a few buildings down the street instead of the stuffy recycled air in your office.
“You remembered my order,” you smile sweetly at him, pulling out the to-go box of sushi and setting it on the bench between your bodies. He digs into the bottom of the bag, retrieves two white paper sleeves and pulls the chopsticks out, hands a pair to you.
“I know all your orders.”
“Don’t get cocky, now.”
“I do, I have them all in my phone.” You laugh around the chopsticks. “What?”
You chew hard, hurried, swallow part of the bite and hum his question away. You cover your lips, shield him from the contents of your mouth while you finish chewing. “Nothing.”
He shakes his head, knows you don’t believe him, wants to show off his word. You watch him dig his phone out from his pocket, tap the screen a few times before he’s showing you a note in your contact card. He has probabably a dozen different restaurants and their orders typed out. “See?” He says, proud and goofy.
“That’s really sweet, Mick,” you tell him. “You’re adorable.”
“I know.”
