Oh my goodness this is so close to how I imagine my own goddess/angel Kirar from my WIP Sky Isles. Her brother Lralso turned traitor and tore out her eyes (or maybe one and then she sacrifices the other later) at the battle that created the Sky Isles, so she is blind, and it makes sense that she cries because she still loves her brother, and also for all the people of the Sky Isles who are succumbing to Lralsos influence and leaving the way of righteousness.

She’s the patron of an order of nuns called the Blind Sisters who have some prophecy abilities. Before the fall, she created a race of people called Kirla or Magi who are element people, and I’ve contemplated giving her an ocean theme! (The Kirla are nearly completely wiped out today thanks to Lralso)

How I imagine Nayru!!! I’d love to develop some headcanons, but I’m soooo bad at that kind of thing, so oh well,you can’t be good at everything, right? Lol.

野原[Nohara] : Field, plain

薊[Azami] : Thistle

There were few flowers in the field, where the signs of autumn had disappeared. In the midst of all this, Azami(s) were barely blooming. Looking at them, the cephalic inflorescences (head flowers) were shorter and the purple flowers were darker in color than those usually seen. Probably due to the morning and evening frosts of the past few days, several had faded away despite being in bloom.

When I was looking at the faded color of Azami, I remembered the following tanka.

花の色は うつりにけりな いたづらに わが身世にふる ながめせしまに

[Hana no iro wa utsuri ni keri na itazura ni wa ga mi yo ni furu nagame seshi ma ni] Just as the colors of flowers fade during it rains on long days(長雨が降る[Nagaame ga furu]), so my appearance has faded, while I am just absently looking on(眺め[Nagame]) my aging(古る[Furu]) in this world. Well, often in the news, "Today, December 14, is the day of 討入[Uchiiri](The raid)". This refers to 赤穂事件[Akō jiken](The Akō incident) that occurred in the Edo period. Kirara:knock knock knock Delivery!

Gorou:*opens door* Hey! You have my- whaaat are you wearing?

Kirara:It’s a very long and whimsical story I’ll tell you when I clock off. It’s like I’m an honorable thief.

Gorou:And you’re delivering packages in it?

Kirara:Oh it’s definitely caused some trouble, but I really do like this outfit! What do you think?

Gorou:It’s…pretty nice i suppose.

Kirara:Then why is your tail wagging so hard?

Gorou:Huh!?

He whips his head around to see his tail completely normal. His face turns red as he faces forward again to see the girl’s smug smile as she hands him the box and signature paper.

Gorou:Very funny… *hands her clipboard*

Kirara:Thank you. I pride myself on my quick wit. Thank you for using Komaniya Express. May you have a wonderful day.

She turns around to leave then lets out a yelp as she’s feels gentle fingers comb slowly up her tails, sending a rush up her spine. Her face glows bright red Kirara quickly turns to face him in flustered defiance as he slowly begins closing his door in smugness.

Kirara:H-Hey!

Gorou:Consider that my tip. *shuts door*

Kirara:You- that’s….ooooo you’re lucky I like my job! *walks off* Almost got me fired just now…. *rubs tails*
