Things just don't feel right and I feel empty. I'm confused and lost and I just want to sleep.
I consulted with my psychiatrist today and there was a lot of things I unpacked today so I'm drained and kind of moody. She told me feeling empty is a sign of depression, but because I recently finished with my exams and studying for something so major, that is a likely reason why I feel empty, too. Even with everything I've accomplished, I still feel empty. But I'll give it a few more weeks to see if it's not something related to depression. I feel like I'm missing something even though I have everything. I just want to jump in a pool and swim.
She also chewed me out for being judgemental towards one of my friends. I didn't realize I was judging her, but I'm glad she pointed it out. Still, i got everything out and admitted I felt guilty for passing my exam when my friend hasn't been able to pass it. I cant let myself celebrate my own achievement because I think of her, and I don't WANT to think of her. I'm so TIRED.
I also talked about my relationship with God and things I'm scared to admit even to Him. Something that's been bothering me so much about the church and what they preach is when they talk about the LGBTQ+ community, one lady is always speaking as if it's so scandalous. The pastor says he loves them, but they will not be saved by God if they don't regret their sins (their sins refer to their lifestyle). And I've been thinking about this for a while. I've even attempted to talk about it with God. But i can't bring myself to regret identifying as bisexual. That's just part of who I am. I can't take that part out of me. I have a relationship with God and I dedicate time to Him and I do what I can to honor him. The church doesn't understand that. They don't understand this community. I'm so drained from even thinking about it. It took my mom a long time to be supportive of me, and even then she really wasn't truly supportive. So now, she makes backhanded comments disguised as homophobia and I just ignore her and the church because I can't be bothered to even care anymore. I spent years being depressed over this subject because of the catholic church so I refuse to be depressed over this same subject because of the baptist church. They can keep their judgement and hypocrisy.
Finally, I'm just tired because I'm finally getting over the insurance agent that asked me to dinner the other day. I didn't change agents because my mom convinced me not to. She told me to grow up and to keep being his client because he is good at his job. And okay? They just want to keep him because they want him as an agent. I just don't want to talk to him. I've asked him questions regarding the insurance, but nothing past that. My dad constantly needs help with his insurance, though, and I'm helping him translate the insurance letters so he can read them to the agent. But I made it very clear I do not want to speak to him. I do not want to talk to him. My parents have to respect at least that, seeing as they didn't let me change agents. I just wish my dad could do things for himself.
Addition: my parents have toned it down on the arguing, but they still have smallish spats.
#so if i start to feel depressed again then i get a higher dose on my happy pills?#does that mean the pills reach a tolerance level?#bc ive just been low for a while and i want to cry okay#fran talks#idk what to think#nothing makes sense and i want for these people to leave me alone 😭#but i live with them and i don't want to be a jerk or think this way bc i feel like garbage

Gravity Falls Thoughts: Ford and Trauma™ (Part 01; because I know I'm turning this into a multi-part series)
So...when you start to think about it, Ford has been through a lot. Because of Gravity Falls' nature as a 2-season Disney cartoon, I feel that we've only scratched the surface of all the crap this man went through.
And thanks to the fandom...good Lord in Heaven, all the flippin' Trauma!!! Sweet Moses...
I mean, other than Bill Cipher and Weirdmageddon, Ford has a level of trauma that not a lot of people have.
Of course, Ford isn't the only one with Trauma™. Really, all four of the Pines are traumatized in some way. I mostly want to focus on Ford for now.
Now, most of the trauma Ford is given is fan speculation/interpretation. The thing is though, is that these traumas would make sense if Gravity Falls was given a more serious direction. (sort of like Steven Universe, a show that is more emotionally driven)
Okay...first things first, nutrition.
In a previous post I've made (I think it was about the Feral Ford headcanon; which I may or may not go into further detail in this series), I said something along the lines of how Ford wouldn't be all that bothered by weird looking food or could even stomach strange food combinations.
While a part of me still thinks this, another one thinks of something else thanks to reading a lot of fanfics of his essentially living off of nutrient pills.
This is from Ford having to be constantly on the move to avoid Bill's reach during his travels. I'd imagine it's a rare occurrence for him to be able to sit down and have a decent meal, either at an establishment or even hunting for food. Not only that, but you have to remember that a lot of the places he went to probably don't have food suitable for humans.
So, Ford has probably taken to nutrient pills so that way he's always on the go, among other foods he's able to preserve and carry.
The thing is, living on mostly nutrient pills could only take you so far before it could be more of a bad boon. Nutrient pills wouldn't exactly give you the appropriate amount of calories a human adult male needs. Especially if they are constantly in danger.
This can lead to some malnutrition.
Yes. I took time to research this so we can properly make Ford's life more like hell.
Signs/Symptoms of Malnutrition (according to NHS)
(Other than the main concern of weight loss and BMI being low)
reduced appetite
lack of interest in food and drink
feeling tired all the time
feeling weaker
getting ill often and taking a long time to recover
wounds taking a long time to heal
poor concentration
feeling cold most of the time
...feeling cold most of the time...
"feeling cold most of the time"
...And who wears a turtleneck sweater/trench coat combo during the summer?
And, lastly, Low mood, sadness and depression.
Furthermore, it would seem that Ford would have developed a low tolerance to actual food (other than bland, mushy stuff) and is probably incapable of eating a whole meal without throwing up.
It's a struggle to be sure, especially if Ford already has a history to forget meals, even as a child (may or may not be projecting here as someone who forgets to eat)...not to mention the months of paranoia due to Bill prior to being sucked into the Portal.
I'm honestly imagining a scene in which Abuelita (bless her soul) tries to feed Ford when she sees how skinny he is...or at least what she perceives as skinny. And no one (no one) can say no to Abuelita Ramirez. And it's Mexican food. There is absolutely nothing bland about it. And Ford does his best to eat it...only to scurry into the bathroom after three bites. He didn't mean to be rude. It was honestly very delicious. Ford's body just couldn't handle it at the moment.
At least Abuelita is understanding of the situation and becomes Stan's right hand woman on his quest to help Ford with his eating habits.
...Great, another idea for an upcoming fic...I had a title in mind but I feel like I should call it *Trauma* Ford Edition.

Norray halloween week Day 1: Ghosts!
If curious, below are some random info about this Teacher/ghost AU
Ray got a gun and he can use it. The ghost gun isn’t able to touch, much less physically hurt anyone, but it replicate the sound of a real gun, which contributed a lot to how low priced his haunted house rent has become. It nearly gave Norman a heart attack the first time he heard it.
After being dead for a while, Ray learned how to turn visible and invisible at will and play around small objects such as paper, shoes and butcher knives. He can control up to 4 small objects at a time or something relativaly heavy like a chair if he really concentrate. The more he got the hang of controling and moving small objects the lower his house rent become, rarely getting aggressive but still able to physically hurt people. On All Hallows Eve he can posses people’s bodies and get out of the house he haunts, but he always ends up back to his empty ‘home’ when the night is over.
Ray is an incredibly fast learner. Just by observing the people that visits his house, he learned a decent amount of modern english and understand the basics of how tecnology is a thing now -he wished this advanced tecnology was invented when he was alive. It would make the of lack of food and nutrients less of a deadly nightmare in open sea.
As a pirate, Ray used to be the one in charge of doing most of the bloody work and take the night watch, protecting his captain’s back from both outside and inside forces. He was constantly alert, borderline paranoic. But as the years in death passed, he grew more calm, very patient. He usually don’t mind new people in his house, happy to learn more modern english and befriend the guests willing to tolerate him. If a new guest cross a line however, Ray will do his best to scare them away. Hurt them or kill them by manipulating knives if he sees fit.
It’s very rare for adults to see Ray as anything other than a nonsense they have no energy to deal with or a warning sign for their crumbling lives, so he usually hang around kids. The childish company mellows him with time.
Ray is from a time where death was common and getting hurt was inevitable so what people consider pretty serious is something Ray considers mild “Why are you being so dramatic about seeing some bone? Be grateful your hand is still attached to your wrist after you slaped your daughter. If it wasn’t for her wishes you wouldn’t have legs to run away.”
Norman is considered a genius and have countless prizes under his belt. He wanted to go to the moon when he was a kid but because of his weak health, he knew he would not be acepted in the space program. He decided teaching was the next best thing later on, accepted as a teacher in a prestigious school while still young. He enjoys and understand all subjects but love history the most, unable to deny it was hard and frustrating to teach a whole class of teens at times but still liking his job. Having one student that was genuinaly interested in his class was more than enough to make his day.
When Norman first started teaching, he felt more responsable than he had his whole life. It wasn’t a bad feeling per see, but it made him anxious so he called his little sister Cherry once a week to ask her questions about her teachers and make sure he was doing a good job.
Norman may not be the funniest of teacher but he’s still a favorite for his palpable cares for his students. He does not make the subject easier than is requested but he put a lot of effort into making people enjoy their world history, teaching with passion and seriously answering any questions, no matter how silly or joking it sounds. He’s understanding and try his best to help those with dificulty with the subject, always giving people second chances, having lost countless nights of sleep correcting re-writen essays after deadlines and turning his test questions into podcasts for students with adhd, aware the big historical excerpts are fundamental for answering the test but too hard to focus, specially with limited time.
The lambda crew are problem children. Norman went the extra mile to save Barbara and Zazie from failing classes even outside history and left Vincent startruck with his wide knowladge about not only world history but a ton of subjects he could be teaching too if he wasn’t overworking himself. Norman is both happy to inspire the squad to study hard and also very awkward by their blind admiration.
The teacher had a firm “ghost don’t exist” mentality, which is one of the reasons he brought the haunted house in the first place. He had chalked Ray up as an halucination from his sleep deprived brain, having the rotten luck of buying the house right after a bad guest owned. The ghost got more annoyed than usual from things as insignificant as Norman keeping the lights on for too long, putting music Ray doesn’t vibe with, or just acting unfairly cute, to more personal matters such as Norman studying about Ray and his family lives. They used to have a distant and bad relationship but once Ray noticed Norman had only admiration for history, being genuinaly kind when trying to talk instead of mocking his existence, Ray apologised. Norman was still wary at first but they quickly hit off, enjoying to learn what the other had to offer and matching in wits.
When Norman catch a fever or a bad cold Ray gets wary. He know, on some level, that medicine have evolved a lot, but he remenbers way too clearly how serious even the weakest of diseases could get if not imediatly treated. He always stick by Norman’s side when the teacher sneezes, not taking his eyes off him. Usually Norman keep working when he catch a cold, so Ray learned to float Norman’s grading papers out of his reach when coughing joined his sneezes. Floating a paper is enough to get Norman to take a break most of the time, but if the get stubborn Ray will stop playing nice. Just lower his voice to comander mode and order “Rest. Now. Or I’ll make your life a living hell.” and Norman does what he’s told, it’s very unconfortable to have a gun in the face and he does feel very tired.
When Norman is seriously sick, not just coughing but stuck to his bed. Ray freak out and fear for his life. When it reached this level, most of his crewmates died or had to be thrown in the sea to not infect other. Yes Ray know it’s not as bad anymore, but even when he observed guests, they rarely got sick, and when it got bad they where taken to a doctor. Norman lives alone so he got no one to feed him and bring him blankets or take him to the doctor if he lies for hours in bed. Ray was all the help he would get and he is fucking dead, he can’t measure his temperature or take care of him properly. Ray does tries his best though. He concentrated a lot to float heavy blankets and pillows towards Norman. Imediatly fetching any pills asked of him and doing his best to make him tea. It isn’t tasty, but Norman still appreciates his care.
Ray is the first to fall in love, he think “If only I could kiss this fool and hug him, I would do it on the daily. I wish he was alive back then... He would love meeting Emma...” at least once a week but a big part of him is just “Forget scurvy! Norman would die of cold or malnutricion before he reached 10. Thank god the helpless bastard took his sweet time to be born.”
Ray cannot touch any eletronics, he can’t even come close without phones, computers, and tvs turning to statics, so Norman buys an illustrated book about the Red Mane Pirates for Ray to see his crew again. He know is not perfect but is the best he can offer whenever Ray expresses missing his family.
They read together. Norman occasionally teaching a new word to his ghost and Ray correcting any historical inacuracy. It’s fun.
Norman finds an illustration of an alive Ray sleeping in the mast waaay too beautiful. Ray snort at the romantized draw, disolving into laughter by how Norman failed to hide his blush.
It became a habit to read history books together and tease each other. More often then not, it lead to a history class and way to much sass on both ends.
“Wait, so there really was a world war? I heard about it from old guests but I thought they were exagerating when they called world war! And what do you mean 2? There was a second one??”
“How did miss the second one? It was HUGE, quite horribl-”
“You were not even alive when it happened.”
“Tecnically, you weren’t either Ray-”
Ray is a bit scared of how attached he got to Norman, knowing eventually the man would die. He hopes it will take a long time, and that once he had a painless death, he will become a ghost too, but he doesn’t really believe Norman will ever turn into a ghost. Ray knows not everyone that dies became a ghost. Since someone as compassionable as Emma -even if she was forced to have blood and dirty choises on her hand to survive the merciless seas- was not cursed to became a ghost, he was confident someone as kind as Norman would dissapear from Ray’s afterlife once he died too.

“I’m okay now” with saimomoharu? this ship is on my head like, alot these days and i just want to see more fanfics about them
My dumbass had to Google it to double check who it is and boy howdy was I relieved to see it’s Training Trio! My absolute favorite! /gen 😌
Non-Despair AU where they’re all young adults settling into careers! I’ve had a HC for a while where Shuichi & Maki would be Private Investigators together while Kaito is some sort of aerospace engineer.
🌻🌻🌻
Maki and Shuichi were leaning over a table in their office, sorting through photos and files.
Since they’ve opened their own Private Investigators Service together, they’ve been able to keep themselves occupied with work.
Maki picked up a file from the table and asked “Shuichi, did you get the autopsy report?”
“The medical examiner hasn’t finished yet; why?”
“It looks like the stab wound isn’t that deep,” Maki squinted, bringing the photo closer to her face, “I don’t think that’s what killed him. At this angle, you’d need to really dig in to kill someone. There aren’t any vital organs around this area of the body, and it seems unlikely he died from blood loss. I think something else killed him that we can’t see.”
Shuichi looked up and smiled at her. “What would I do without you, Maki?”
“You wouldn’t be nearly as competent as you appear to be,” Maki’s facial expressions barely change, but Shuichi can detect the slightest movements from her and knows when she’s teasing.
He crossed over and wrapped his arms around her waist, “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner—“
They stopped what they were doing when they heard the humming of their garage door opening. “Speaking of partners,” Shuichi said, quickly kissing Maki’s cheek before heading back to where he was working
“Did he text you? I didn’t know he was coming home late,” Maki said
Shuichi took his phone out of his pocket, “Uh, no, I haven’t heard from Kaito since he left for work this morning.”
They got quiet and listened to the house. Their tumbler opened— the door was unlocked— and some plastic bags rustled as they hit the floor. There was an alarming THUD followed by a grunt, and Shuichi and Maki looked at each other in concern and horror.
They briskly left their office and headed downstairs together, afraid of what they might see.
“Kaito?” Maki called out
He swore under his breath, unaware his partners definitely heard him, and replied back, “I just lost my footing coming in; I’m alright!”
Once Shuichi and Maki reached the first floor, they turned the corner and saw Kaito on his hands and knees, grocery bags strewn about, struggling to pick himself back up. “Kaito, are you okay?” Shuichi got down on the floor to his level, trying to steady him
“Tell us what happened. Now.” Maki demanded, taking a hold under one of his arms
“I swear, I’m okay now; let me just get up— fuck—“ as Kaito quickly lifted his head with his eyes shut tight, he practically collapsed further onto the floor.
Shuichi and Maki shared another look. “Stay with him,” Shuichi took charge, “I’m going to get some water and something for him to eat.”
“Shuichi, please, I’m alright—“ Shuichi clearly wasn’t listening; he was already heading toward the kitchen
“No, you’re not. Stop lying to us,” Maki insisted, “You need to tell us how you got here.”
Kaito sighed before giving in and speaking up, “I was fine at work, so I went to run errands afterward, and I guess I started feeling shaky in the checkout line and on the drive home my breathing was shallow—“
“Did you take your meds today?” Maki asked
“I’m back,” Shuichi’s voice rang out from around the hall as he quickly approached with a glass of water and a bowl of dry cereal
Shuichi knelt down to Kaito to hand him the rations. “Thanks, baby,” Kaito muttered before taking a drink
“You didn’t answer me,” Maki said
“Hm?” Shuichi piped in, having missed the question
“I think he hasn’t taken his meds today.”
“Kaito?” Shuichi gently asked, making Kaito’s already frail body twinge with guilt, “Is that true?”
He sighed again, feeling shameful, “It’s uh... half the truth.”
“What does that mean?” Maki was not tolerating this.
“You’re going to be angry—“
“I’m already kind of angry, to be honest,” Maki’s face changed ever-so-slightly once again. She’s trying to keep things a bit more lighthearted, just so a screaming match doesn’t break out. They’ve never truly screamed at each other before, but Maki has had to learn to control her temper a bit.
“I haven’t been taking them for about a week now—“
“WHAT?!” Shuichi and Maki cried in unison
“I just felt like I haven’t needed them? I’ve been feeling stronger and I had to see if I could live without them—“
“You’ve been feeling stronger BECAUSE of the meds, Kaito!” Maki and Kaito were both shocked with Shuichi’s sudden outburst, “You know what happens when I don’t take my anti-depressants because I feel like I’m fine? I get depressed again! That’s how medication fucking works!”
“Shuichi, I—“ Kaito began, but Shuichi was up on his feet again, storming back to the kitchen, “Dammit.”
“He’s right, Kaito,” Maki said, rubbing a hand on his back, “He’s only angry because he cares. We both do. You need those prescriptions to function.”
“I know. It was stupid of me; I just... I hate that I’m like... broken. Like I need to ingest something in order to live and it’s held me back from my dreams and—“
Shuichi was back, holding three bottles of pills. “Hon, medication doesn’t make you any less of a person,” he sighed, sitting down on the floor in front of Kaito and opening the bottles, “Practically everyone takes something every day. I bet you could ask your coworkers and everyone would at least say they take a vitamin supplement or something.”
“You think I take birth control just because?” Maki chimed in, “No, it’s so I don’t miss out on work and life for three days every month because I’m in unbearable pain.”
Kaito slowly picked his head up, feeling less heavy after drinking some water, but still not doing amazing. “I get it,” he said with watery eyes
Shuichi scooted over and wrapped his arms around him, leaning his head into Kaito’s shoulder. “We love you, okay?”
“Yeah. I love you both, too.”
Maki held on to Kaito’s arm again and quickly kissed his shoulder, “We don’t want you dying on us just yet, got it?”
Kaito chuckled, “Ten four; got it.”
“Rest tonight, please?” Shuichi said, “And I think you should stay home tomorrow so your body can recover.”
“I have the day off anyway—“
“Perfect. We’ll take the day off, too,” Maki added
Shuichi reached for the pill bottles and took out the appropriate doses from each container, and offered the tablets to Kaito.
He shut his eyes and smiled, taking the medication from Shuichi’s hand.

8: training turns south...
Training wasn’t hard for you, all you had to do was figure out what needed to be improved and then improve it.
It was working with others that wasn’t easy and reading boring textbooks.
More specifically, it was hard dealing with the silver haired prick, Tetsutetsu. One one hand, he does try to work with you, but on the other, his temper makes him flip flop between being tolerable to being a nuisance.
Unfortunately, you didn’t really have a choice.
You knew Sekijiro-sensei was forcing you and the guy to train with one another in a training exercise outside on the field. Although the man didn’t say it outright, you knew he was trying to get you to open up and... bond? With the guy.
“Hit me with your best shot!!!!” Tetsutetsu yelled.
You scowled at the teen and charged him while he charged you back. He wasn’t hard to move around and punch, it was just the fact that his stupid quirk kept him from bleeding.
He quirk turned him into a living metal statue, taking in your blows better than he would without his quirk.
He was the only one in the class that could land some good hits on you and stay standing long enough. He had a higher percentage of being able to take you down.
How did he know this?
Well, he had you bruised up and panting, sometimes collapsing to one knee.
However, the longer the two of you fought, the weaker his metal got... and the stronger you got.
You thought you were pushing your limits when training by yourself, but this reached a whole other level. Due to Tetsutetsu being a challenge, you were breaking new limits you didn’t know were there.
Now, you were discovering something new about yourself, and that was how long you could go against an opponent...
And how more aggressive you get.
As time passed, you grew more and more angry and unpredictable. Your movements became more rapid and you started losing your rhythm.
Tetsutetsu was growing fatigue due to using his quirk for far to long and soon found himself becoming less immune to your punches. Your blood was covering most of the ground and you. Your sweat glands practically squirting out blood.
By now, everyone stopped what they were doing and watched in morbid curiosity and awe at the display.
You were reaching a new height.
A new level.
And unfortunately, like a fledgling flying for the first time, you were losing control.
You uppercut the silver haired teen, sending him in the air a couple feet before he collapsed on the ground. He was no longer moving, clearly unconscious and his quirk deactivated, leaving bruised, pale skin behind.
He was no longer the threat, in your eyes.
But everything else was.
“That was amazing!” Pony exclaimed with a clap of her hands.
Her voice and the sudden clapping sound made you snap your head in her general direction.
Your teeth were bloody and bared and you slowly began approaching her and the brown haired kid next to her. She didn’t even realize the danger she was in as well as a few others, though some could see what was about to happen.
When you were within 10 feet of her, you launched yourself towards the girl with a bellowing war cry. Luckily for the foreigner, a large body made its way in front of her and took the blow to the gut.
Vlad King let out a sharp exhale and stumbled back a bit, bumping into the poor girl before engulfing you into a bear hug.
“Get Aizawa in here, NOW!!!” He yelled and pushed you back enough to let Pony and Kaibara escape.
Kendo ran into the building, leaving the rest to watch in abject horror. Ibara pulled Tetsutetsu’s unconscious body with her hair towards the group and hid him behind them with the help of her classmates.
“The rest of you stay back, I-“ before he could finish, you gut punched him two times and forced him off his feet.
The man quickly used his quirk, engulfing you in a bloody cocoon. You snarled and growled, struggling to get the man’s hardened blood off of you while Vlad scrambled up and pinned you to the ground.
You twisted in his grip, snapping your teeth at him and nearly slipping from his grip. He held you steady, looking down at your enraged expression.
“(L/n), you need to calm down. Deactivate your quirk. Now.”
The adrenaline pumped harder than before, heart racing fast, and muscles tending to the point of pain. Your mind was completely gone, relying purely on instinct, and having your teacher telling you to calm down did not help at all.
“Sekijiro-san!” A voice called.
The man didn’t look up to see who it was, already knowing the boisterous voice belonged to All Might. Aizawa stood behind, still covered in bandages.
The blonde man rushed over and helped to hold your head down, surprised by the fight you put up.
“Are they restrained enough?” Aizawa said in a serious tone.
You snarled at the blonde for holding your head tight, getting blood all over his hands and wrists.
Within seconds, your quirk began to weaken. Blood no longer pumping through your body at a fast rate. It was as though you took a high quality chill pill that took away all your stress and worries.
Your body grew limp and your eyes grew heavy. You couldn’t stop sleep from taking hold of your body, and you stared blankly up at the sky for one last time before closing your eyes.
“Just what the hell was that?”
Sekijiro winced at the scruffy man’s tone. You were currently resting at the nurses, recovering from low iron levels, dehydration, and the filling of your lungs.
Toshinori stood at the coffee maker in silence, listening to the conversation.
“They just... lost it. They never did this before. Sure, they have a temper, but their actions are always directed at the people who got on their bad side.”
In front of the two men sat the principal of UA, Nezu.
He held a file in his paws, reading through it before placing the file down and turning it toward Sekijiro.
“Their quirk heavily involves adrenaline and aggression. Seeing something like today hasn’t been mention before, I would have guessed that this is something new.” The mouse chimera said.
“Kids have discovered new things about their quirks inside and outside of school, either by strengthening themselves or something else. Either way, in most cases, it’s on accident.” He placed his paws together.
“So the kid is the embodiment of a ticking time bomb? Tch, troublesome.” Aizawa muttered the last part under his breathe.
“Hm? What do you mean?” Nezu cocked his head.
“That kid has apparent anger issues. Unlike the kid in my class, Bakugou, (L/n) is more unpredictable.” He said before turning to Sekijiro.
“You said it yourself, they have physically harmed others, correct?”
“W-well, that’s just a little exaggerated, I mean, they haven’t necessarily beat someone up...” he tried to defend you.
“But today, they attacked you.” Aizawa stared bluntly.
“They... they aren’t sadistic. And they’re a good kid, I’ve seen how they act when they aren’t inconvenienced-“ he said but stopped when he felt he was getting nowhere.
“You’re getting attached, Sekijiro-san.” Aizawa stated.
Toshinori stared at his steaming black coffee but didn’t reach out to grab it. His body was ridged and he was ready to butt in at some point. A sigh rang into the air, catching the men’s attention.
“...but... I’ll admit that I do see something in them.” Aizawa muttered.
“They aren’t a bad person, but they are dangerous. It’s obvious that they don’t have complete control over their quirk, nor their behavior, so...” Nezu said before taking a sip out of his tea cup.
“Sekijiro-san, I’m going to need you to train with (L/n) during your tutoring. Help them blow off steam, redirect their aggression.” He said, earning a nod from the larger man.
“Mister Nezu.”
The two men and mouse turned to the deflated blonde.
“If they have another incident like this... will they be kicked from the program?” Toshinori asked, afraid of the answer.
“That would be last resort, Yagi-san. If they have another incident, we would have to put them into counseling.” Nezu said while waving this off.
“(L/n) isn’t someone we want to pass up on. They have great potential, they are astounding when it comes to combat... they could do better in math and writing... and they work well with others despite their antisocial traits.” Nezu clapped his paws together and stood up.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some tea to taste test.” The principal said and left the three men in the teachers lounge.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nezu has his priorities straight!
Sorry about the short chapter... don’t worry though, it’ll get good, especially in the sports festival arc.
CBD Oil Vs Capsules Are CBD Softgels A Better Option For Getting CBD Into Your System Fast?
CBD oil is becoming more popular for its natural health benefits. CBD is a natural chemical compound that can be derived from hemp plants, and it’s been shown to have many medicinal properties. CBD capsules, on the other hand, are made of powdered hemp oil.
These capsules are easier to digest and absorb than oil because they go straight into your stomach without any extra work on your part. There are many benefits to each form of CBD, but which is best for you? Is it better to take capsules or use CBD oil? Find out in this article.
CBD Oil VS Capsules
CBD oil: source You can buy CBD oil in many different forms, from creams to drops, oils, and so on. It’s important to note that CBD oil is not technically considered a drug, so it’s legal and legal to buy and sell.
CBD oil contains the same cannabinoid (or “cannabinoid”) chemicals that can be found in marijuana, but since it’s legal and does not contain any THC (THC is the compound in marijuana that gets you high), it’s completely safe to ingest.
With CBD oil vs capsules you will find that they are only for adults and they both are non-psychoactive – meaning it does not cause the “high” feeling associated with marijuana. There are different formulas and strengths of CBD oil. Different manufacturers recommend different strengths, depending on your needs. With CBD oil, a 100% pure product can be purchased from a reliable source.
CBD OIL
CBD oil is pure, concentrated CBD in oil. Most CBD oil is formulated as a solution that’s easily absorbed through the skin, with high levels of CBD oil having a shorter, quicker action than a CBD capsule. CBD oil comes in different types hence the main subject of this article CBD oil vs capsules. Most CBD oils are available in either tinctures, oils, or edibles.
Although you can ingest any CBD oil, tinctures are by far the easiest way to get the highest levels of CBD, because the main taste is sweet and subtle.
Because of this, tinctures are always recommended for the majority of CBD use. Doses of tinctures tend to be lower than other forms of CBD, so people with a high CBD tolerance (or people who have a low tolerance for cannabis) may experience unwanted side effects.
CBD Oil vs Capsules Benefits
CBD oil is known for its medicinal properties. When we eat a meal, our body releases digestive enzymes into our body. These enzymes break down food in our digestive tract, and they help digest complex foods, like fiber, fat, and sugar. CBD works with these enzymes to help with digestion, which allows you to absorb the nutrients in your meal better.
This is especially useful for people who struggle with constipation, because taking a CBD oil capsule may help ease some of the discomforts you may feel. CBD oil can also be used to treat anxiety, sleeplessness, and panic attacks. CBD is also believed to be effective in treating other health problems, including migraines, back pain, depression, and mood disorders.
CBD Oil vs Capsules Disadvantages Of CBD Oil
CBD oil, because it goes straight into your body, is typically more expensive than capsules, and it tends to be difficult to absorb properly. If you get capsules that aren’t as pure as you’d like, you may end up taking the oil out before it has had a chance to do its job.
Plus, CBD oil is generally in pill form. Most people aren’t comfortable taking pills, especially when it comes to eating. Disadvantages of CBD Capsules The major disadvantage to using CBD capsules would be if you were a person that had a hard time swallowing pills.
Capsules
Although they’re not as popular as their CBD oil vs capsules which are both infused counterparts, capsules are certainly a smarter choice for people with digestion issues, especially those with digestive disorders like Crohn’s disease or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. CBD oil contains Phytocannabinoids that are absorbed directly into the bloodstream through your gastrointestinal tract.
Once inside your body, these Phyto-cannabinoids can stimulate cells in your intestines to make certain nutrients easier to digest. A capsule-based CBD regime allows you to take one capsule every day, or more frequently, depending on your body’s needs. You don’t need to mix the capsule with food, and you can take it anywhere you want — the doctor’s office, on the road, on vacation, or anywhere in between.
CBD Oil vs Capsules of Capsules Benefits
Studies have shown that CBD capsules are generally better for your health. You’ll get the benefits of CBD oil while also reducing the risk of overdosing. CBD oil contains multiple compounds, and the right ones work well together to provide an effective boost in health.
This is why CBD capsules are generally better than oil when it comes to providing all the health benefits you need. There are also some concerns about the side effects of taking CBD oil vs capsules, which may be prevented if you take capsules instead. Take a look at some of the most common side effects you may experience if you take CBD oil and CBD capsules.
CBD oil capsules vs. CBD oil: Does it matter which form you take? If you take CBD oil capsules, you can still get all the benefits of this healing compound.
Disadvantages of CBD Capsules
CBD capsules aren’t as easy to store as CBD oil, which means you’ll have to store them somewhere safe. The capsules can be opened but they are much more difficult to store. They are also more of a hassle to carry around and carry out to your kitchen.
CBD oil, on the other hand, is much more portable. You can easily take CBD oil anywhere you go. If you are planning on exercising or taking a long workout, CBD oil is a better option because CBD oil is much less likely to hinder your body from reaching peak performance.
CBD Oil vs capsules: Is it worth it? When it comes to buying CBD oil, I recommend capsules for one big reason. Capsules last so much longer than oil. As a general rule, most capsules will last you about 2 weeks while oils will last about 5-7 days.
Which Option is Best for You?
You can use either CBD oil or capsules to get the benefits of the cannabis compound. CBD oil, which comes from hemp, contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and hemp-based CBD oil has many medicinal benefits.
However, because CBD oil and CBD capsules are both made of hemp-derived CBD oil, they can be derived from the same plant. This means they can be extracted from the same CBD hemp oil.
With that being said, there are some differences between CBD oil vs capsules that make a difference in how they’ll affect your body. For example, hemp-derived CBD oil typically doesn’t have psychoactive properties, while the psychoactive properties of the oil can be addicting. This means that you won’t feel the highs that you get from THC.
Meticore Reviews – Scam Complaints Or Weight Loss Diet Pills Really Work?
Losing weight isn’t always easy. There are so many different factors that impact one’s ability to lose weight and keep it off in the long-term. While proper diet and exercise are a must, some find that adding a supplement to their daily routine makes it much easier to achieve their weight loss goals. We will understand how Meticore Works and how it helps lose weight in this Meticore Reviews.
These days, there is no shortage of fat burner products on the market. But as you’d imagine, not all of them live up to what’s advertised. Some use ingredients that have no impact on fat loss, while others have potentially harmful compounds that could cause adverse side effects.
Meticore Reviews
If you’re looking for a supplement that promotes a healthy metabolism along with natural fat burning and weight loss, look no further than Meticore. This supplement is uniquely-formulated with potent superfoods to increase metabolism, which is often caused by a low core body temperature due to age.
For this guide, we’re going to take a look at our third top fat burner supplement: Meticore. Meticore is one of the only metabolism boosting products that is packed with powerful and potent super nutrients that are effective in raising the core body temperature. When taken on a daily basis, this supplement can help anyone achieve their weight loss goals.
By enhancing cellular temperatures and cell activity, heat is produced within the body, which then stimulates and activates the metabolism. To get best results, use Meticore in combination with fat loss inducing lifestyle activities, such as making healthy dietary choices and routine exercise.
Taking Meticore as a daily supplement enhances energy and promotes fat loss by boosting the metabolism. A properly functioning metabolism uses calories for energy instead of storing them for fat.
Though there are tons of scam and low quality products that are marketed as fat burners, Meticore isn’t one of them. This product works to increase low core body temperatures while also helping to correct hormonal imbalances that make it harder to lose weight and keep it off for good.
What is Meticore?
Meticore is a diet pill that jumpstarts the metabolism by increasing body temperature. This promotes weight loss at a faster and more consistent pace. As we get older, our ability to maintain an efficient core body temperature decreases. There are many studies that have proven a correlation between metabolism and core body temperature. More often than not, low core body temperatures cause the metabolism to slow down and work less efficiently.
According to Meticore, both men and women can increase their core body temperature by taking the supplement regularly. Each capsule contains six high-quality, effective nutrients that supercharge the metabolism by increasing inner body temperature. If you’re struggling to lose weight, this may be just the supplement you’re missing from your daily regimen.
What’s important to note is that Meticore isn’t a miracle pill. You won’t lose weight or burn fat if you continue to eat a high calorie diet or workout very little or not at all. While Meticore will awaken a sleeping metabolism and improve digestion, it won’t work without being taken in combination with healthy lifestyle choices.
If you research any fat burner pill, you’re likely to come across negative reviews and feedback, but this is usually because of user error. Not only must Meticore be taken daily, people forget that it’s a supplement, not a product that can negate poor lifestyle decisions.
As discussed earlier, there are many factors that can cause weight gain. One of the most common is having a low core (endothermic) body temperature, which can cause a slow metabolism. Studies show that the lower your core body temperature is, the slower your metabolism will be. This not only makes it harder to prevent weight gain, but it also inhibits the ability to lose weight as well.
If you have a slow metabolism, the first step is to correct the underlying cause. In this instance, it means increasing a low core body temperature. With a healthy, regulated core temperature, it’s much easier to achieve healthy weight loss! A proper core temperature may also:
● Improve joint mobility
● Increase sleep quality and quantity
● Improve hair and skin health
● Reduce inflammation
When taken regularly, Meticore works as a morning metabolic trigger. It boosts the metabolic rate and shifts the way the body produces and uses energy. This is all possible due to the fat burning weight loss ingredients that are used in the formula.
Aging isn’t something that we can stop or avoid. So, one day, we’re all going to face the reality of a slowing metabolism. This means that as we get older, we’re more likely to see the number on the scale gradually tick upwards.
But whether you’re 25 or 55, Meticore can work as an effective weight loss and fat burner supplement. This product not only optimizes core body temperature, it revs up the metabolism and encourages efficient and effective fat burn. The six natural ingredients are designed to help you finally reach your goal weight.
What Are The Benefits of Meticore
So how exactly does Meticore work? The all natural ingredients turn up the internal heat of cells, which reverses age-related metabolic slowdown. The best part is that this all happens without any negative side effects! What you will experience is fat loss and an improvement in your overall health.
There are hundreds of fat burners on the market, but Meticore is one of the highest quality supplements available today. This product is worth considering because it:
● Is stimulant free. It doesn’t contain any artificial stimulants in order to trigger or sustain weight loss
● Is 100% natural and vegetarian-friendly
● Contains no GMOs or other additives
● Has no tolerance forming tendencies. This means it’s highly unlikely that you’ll build a physical or dietary tolerance to Meticore
● Is tested by an independent third party lab for potency and purity
In addition to being able to increase core body temperature in order to increase metabolism, Meticore may also help to regulate blood sugar levels, while also supporting heart, brain, and joint health. This supplement is manufactured and produced in the USA and is FDA approved. Meticore is produced in a GMP-certified facility, which means it’s processed under strict and safe standards.
Meticore Ingredients: the Special Secret Blend Of Meticore
Each of the ingredients used in Meticore are hand selected to provide three main benefits: burn fat, lose weight to boost energy, and to optimize metabolism. This means that there are no filler ingredients that don’t work to boost weight loss and overall well-being.
The makers of Meticore claim that the product delivers a fast-acting rise in core body temperature in order to boost metabolism. This promotes the burning of fat, especially in those stubborn and hard to target areas. But these aren’t the only benefits!
According to manufacturers, this supplement has the potential to offer a wide range of other benefits, including a glowing complexion, plump skin, silky hair, and reduced joint pain and inflammation. While this may sound too good to be true, there is plenty of evidence that backs all of the natural ingredients used in Meticore, to include herbal extracts and plant-based nutrients.
Meticore contains the following ingredients:
● African Mango Seed (Irvingia gabonensis)
● Ginger Rhizome (Zingiber officinale)
● Moringa leaf (moringa oleifera)
● Citrus Bioflavonoids (citrus Aurantium fruit)
● Fucoxanthin
● Vitamin B12 (as Cyanocobalamin) 10mcg
● Chromium (as Chromium Picolinate) 35mcg
● Meticore Formula Blend 250mg
● Turmeric Rhizome (Curcuma longa)
All of these plant-based herbal ingredients are encapsulated in a vegetarian capsule. There are no toxic substances, caffeine, or dangerous stimulants. When taken at the recommended dosage, Meticore is not only a safe supplement, it’s highly effective and will prove to be a worthwhile part of your weight loss journey.
Here is some in-depth information about each of the ingredients and how they work within the body to boost the metabolism to promote weight loss.
Brown Seaweed Extract – This ingredient contains a compound known as fucoxanthin, which has become widely discussed over the last few years. This compound is believed to target adipose fat tissue, including the stubborn fat that many of us suffer from in the abdomen area. Brown seaweed extract is also full of vitamins and minerals that optimize and improve energy levels.
African Mango Extract – Also known as Irvingia gabonensis, African Mango Extract is a well-studied ingredient that is commonly used in fat burner and weight loss studies. Several small studies have shown this ingredient to have weight loss benefits.
Moringa Oleifera – This is a very popular superfood ingredient and is a well-known energy booster. Moringa Oleifera is rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against damage caused by free radicals. This ingredient has also shown to benefit skin and hair health.
Ginger – There is no clear evidence in how ginger interacts with other ingredients used in Meticore or if it plays a significant role in weight-loss. However, ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory and has many other medicinal properties. It has been used for centuries to decrease inflammation, treat nausea, and even to improve heart health.
Turmeric – Similarly to ginger, turmeric is an herb that has been used for a long time due to its medicinal properties. Turmeric has an active ingredient known as curcumin, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory, which means it may be effective in lowering body temperature. Turmeric also has antioxidant properties and is known for being able to eliminate toxins and toxic metabolic by-products.
The combination of these ingredients offers all of the benefits that people on a weight loss journey need. Lowered inflammation, increased core body temperature, and an improved ability to burn fat.
The full list of ingredients used in Meticore includes:
● 15mcg (417% Daily Value) of vitamin B12 (as Cyanocobalamin)
● 35mcg (100% DV) of chromium (aschromium picolinate)
● 250mg of a Meticore Formula Blend containing Turmeric (Curcuma longa), African mango, ginger, moringa leaf, citrus bioflavonoids, and fucoxanthin
All of these ingredients are packaged into vegetable cellulose capsules, which makes this supplement safe for vegetarians and other lifestyles.
With all of this information, it’s evident that Meticore contains highly potent and effective ingredients that benefit the body in many different ways. While there is no solid evidence as to how these ingredients work together synergistically, looking at each ingredient individually offers great proof. There are also endless positive customer reviews that back the effectiveness of Meticore.
What’s nice is that this product comes with a 100% money back guarantee. The manufacturer offers refunds for any users who aren’t completely satisfied with Meticore.
Are Meticore Pills Safe?
One of the most important questions to ask before buying and taking any weight loss supplement is whether or not the product is safe. As discussed earlier, Meticore has thousands of positive customer reviews that speak highly of the fat burner. Many explain how well the product helped them to lose weight, and the only negative customers have is having to buy a whole new wardrobe!
There are many different ways to lose weight. People who have been trying to lose weight unsuccessfully often turn to fad diets, which are often dangerous and unhealthy. Extreme diets like one meal a day (OMAD) or extreme intermittent fasting can lead to malnourishment and unhealthy perceptions of how to lose weight.
By taking Meticore, losing weight doesn’t have to be dangerous or agonizing. When taken as recommended, Meticore works to increase the core body temperature in order to get the metabolism working as it should. This means no more spending hours at the gym or eating a dangerously low amount of calories in efforts to drop a few pounds.
The better option is to choose a sustainable weight loss method, such as routine exercise, a wholesome diet, and an effective fat burner supplement like Meticore. Weight loss isn’t something that happens overnight. For many, it takes months of dedication and consistency in order to reach their goal weight.
With this said, the best way to get rid of those pesky, stubborn pounds around the midsection is to target the underlying cause. A faster metabolism that is improved due to a proper core body temperature is sure to be most effective.
So just how safe is Meticore? Compared to other options on the market, it’s one of the safest fat burners available. To start, Meticore has been approved by an FDA-inspected lab that ensures the potency and purity of this product. This means that the supplement has passed all of the necessary qualitative checks before being sold.
This also means that the FDA has formally inspected the manufacturing plant where Meticore is produced. After undergoing an inspection, Meticore was found to be produced in a safe, strict, and sterile condition that meets all quality control standards.
In regards to fat burner supplements, Meticore is one of the safest that you’ll find.
The Proof: Are There Any Real Scientific Support?
According to the manufacturers of Meticore, once the body’s metabolic rate has been kick-started, you can expect to see noticeable weight loss throughout the body, including those areas of stubborn fat! Of course, where you’ll lose weight is highly dependent on your body, to include how and where you hold fat.
The bottom line is that within days to a few weeks, you can expect to see the number on the scale decrease. Not only does losing weight improve your physical body profile, weight loss has also been linked to many other benefits, including:
● Improved sleep
● Healthier hair and skin
● Improved immune system
● Less daily aches and pains
While there are no scientific studies that have been conducted specifically on Meticore, there is plenty of research that backs up the product’s ingredients. This is pretty common for supplement manufacturers, as most don’t undergo formal study unless they are prescription-great medications.
The good news is that Meticore’s manufacturer cites 24 scientific references that show the benefits of each ingredient used in the supplement. This allows you to see how the supplement works to burn fat and help you lose weight.
There is also tons of evidence that show the link between low core body temperature and obesity. A 2009 study found that there is a strong connection between both of these factors. A 2015 study suggests that obese people have a harder time raising their core body temperature, which increases weight gain.
In order to raise core body temperature, energy has to be burned by the body. There’s a possibility that thinner people are able to maintain higher core temperatures, which allows them to burn more calories and fat. However, it’s still unclear if the process works both ways or if there are supplements that have a huge impact on the body’s ability to burn fat.
After looking at the research, we know that many of the ingredients used to create Meticore have been linked with fat burning and weight loss. One of the most effective fat burning ingredients is brown seaweed extract. Even though Meticore only has 250mg of brown seaweed, other supplements only use 100mg, so Meticore offers more than double the standard amount!
Curcumin from turmeric has also shown to potentially burn fat and promote weight loss. One study, which involved more than 1,600 patients, found that curcumin helped to reduce BMI and weight. Doses varied from 70mg to 2400mg per day. So while it’s unclear how much curcumin must be taken each day, this study shows that the compound has weight loss properties.
Unlike other fat burner supplements, Meticore doesn’t contain any thermogenic ingredients that are able to increase body temperature. However, the brand website does offer an in-depth video that explains how these ingredients increase metabolic rate while then increases cellular temperatures.
All in all, there isn’t much direct scientific evidence that proves that Meticore is as effective as it’s marketed as being. But, with the supplement’s affordable price tag, and customer focused refund policy and risk-free money back guarantee, it’s worth giving Meticore a try. Summer is right around the corner, and now is the time to start working towards the body you’ve always wanted!
How to & Where to Buy Meticore
If you’re interested in trying Meticore as a fat burner supplement, the only place to buy it is on the Meticore website. The manufacturer offers a few package options along with bulk discounts. Purchasing options include:
● 1 bottle (30 day supply) $59.00 + shipping
● 3 bottles (90 day supply) $49.99 per bottle + shipping
● 6 bottles (180 day supply) $39.99 per bottle + shipping
Each bottle contains 30 capsules which is 30 servings. So a single bottle will last you an entire month!
To get best results, take one Meticore capsule on a daily basis. Over time, you’ll notice that those areas of stubborn fat will go away. But remember, Meticore isn’t a miracle pill. It won’t cause you to lose tons of fat overnight. It takes time for the capsules to boost your metabolism and encourage more efficient fat burn.
According to the Meticore manufacturer, it can take anywhere from 90 to 180 days in order to see optimal results. With this in mind, it may be ideal to buy a few bottles at a time, this way you don’t run out.
Meticore comes with a no questions asked 60 day money back guarantee. This shows just how confident the company is in its product. In turn, consumers can buy with confidence and know that their money won’t go to waste. So whether you buy a single bottle or six at a time, they can be returned if you’re unhappy with Meticore for any reason. Customers can even return empty bottles if the product doesn’t offer the benefits they want. However, in this instance, customers must pay for return shipping costs.
To learn more about Meticore, including thescientific research that the manufacturer references, be sure to check out the company’s website. Customer can also reach out to Meticore with any problems by emailing the team at [email protected]
What is the Meticore Company?
In looking at the Meticore website, the brand doesn’t provide much information about itself. But the information that is provided does shed some positive light on the company. All manufacturing occurs in the USA at an FDA-inspected facility. All ingredients are also sourced in the USA, so you can buy with peace of mind.
The platform seller is Digistore24 Inc., which is a reputable seller that honors return and refunds. The company is also known for its customer-first approach.
Because the supplement industry isn’t regulated, it’s not uncommon for scams and low quality products to be sold under false marketing and false promises. This makes it much harder for consumers to know where to spend their money and whether or not they’re buying a worthwhile fat burner.
When buying Meticore, there are a few things to be aware of. First, make sure you only buy from the brand’s official website. Never buy from any other sites, as the product may not be Meticore but a potentially dangerous copycat product.
Also, consumers can buy with confidence knowing that Meticore offers a strong refund policy. If you’re unhappy with the product for any reason, the supplement can be returned with no questions asked. But, this refund policy is only in effect if you buy from the Meticore website. Avoid buying from other marketplaces like Amazon or other online health stores.
What About Negative Meticore Reviews
Meticore is one of the most popular weight loss supplements available on the market. But, with greater popularity comes great accountability and responsibility. Because Meticore is so popular, there is a real threat of imposters and fraudulent companies that may try to lure unsuspecting consumers into buying a fake product that is advertised as Meticore. More often than not, many of Meticore’s negative reviews are from consumers who have mistakenly purchased a fraudulent supplement that was advertised as Meticore but isn’t. Sadly, many people don’t pay attention to where they’re buying from. Most just care about getting the lowest price for a product, instead of ensuring that what they’re buying is legitimate.
The good news is that this situation is completely avoidable. Customers interested in buying Meticore should only purchase from the brand’s official website. This is the only online store where legitimate Meticore can be purchased.
Buying this supplement from anywhere else all but ensures that you’re buying a cheap imitation knockoff that is not only unlikely to be effective, but may even be dangerous. Avoid anything that’s called Meticore Advanced Diet Pills Supplement for Weight Loss, Meticore Weight Management Pills, or Meticore Metabolism Supplement Booster.
When you buy from the Meticore website, you can buy with complete confidence. This supplement is safe, effective, and contains all natural ingredients that won’t cause adverse or unexpected side effects.
Meticore Results: Realistic or Too Good To Be True?
Meticore was introduced onto the market on August 2, 2020. Since then, this supplement has skyrocketed in popularity, becoming one of the most highly sought after fat burners available today. Once the new year came, the brand’s popularity continued to grow, as people were setting New Year’s resolutions to lose weight and to reach their weight loss goals
Looking at Google Trends, consumers can see just how quickly Meticore grew, from the day it debuted up until now. During the second half of 2020, hundreds of product reviews were published on the website. While most of them portrayed nothing but positive opinions, there are of course some negative reviews as well.
But, it’s important to distinguish between reviews from real Meticore users vs. reviews from those who bought a potentially lower quality, imposter product.
As advances continue to be made in the science and technology industries, the world of natural health continues to advance as well. We can expect growing evidence that shows the effectiveness of plant-based nutrients as well as herbal extracts. This is more important than ever, as more consumers are seeking all natural products.
On the official Meticore website, you’ll find many stories from users who have had amazing results using the supplement. When taken as directed, this product can help people meet their weight loss goals and can even target those areas of stubborn fat.
But as mentioned earlier, don’t expect the pill to do all of the work. In order to get best results from Meticore, you must follow a healthy diet along with routine exercise. It’s also important to be patient! It takes time to get the metabolism revved up and working as it should.
Metabolism is the biggest energy production regulator in the body and is impacted by many different factors, including hormonal imbalances. The body’s biochemistry is delicate, so give it the time it needs to restore and regulate to healthy levels.
Supplements like Meticore work as catalysts, giving the body the boost it needs to help it reach optimal levels. This includes metabolism and other physiological systems.
All in all, when Meticore is taken as directed and is combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise, it can produce life-changing results! This product stands as one of the most highly recommended fat burners for 2021 and beyond.
If you’re looking for a customer-focused company that offers an effective fat burning supplement that can help you meet your weight loss goals, look no further than Meticore. This all natural supplement is sure to give your body the boost it needs so that your metabolism works better than ever before, which enables your body to burn fat more efficiently.
There’s no quick path to weight loss. Even the Meticore website advises consumers to lower their dosage of Meticore if they begin to lose too much weight in too short of a period of time. We think that users who want to maximize their weight-loss potential target a total weight loss rate of one or two pounds per week. Anything more can be both unhealthy and unsustainable. Hopefully, the ingredients in Meticore’s formula can help you to speed up your metabolism. When combined with exercise and dieting, Meticore can provide you with the weight loss progress you’ve always wanted.
Meticore Reviews : Conclusion
Meticore is a fat burning weight loss supplement that works by raising the core body temperature in order to speed up metabolic rate. In turn, this enables the body to burn unwanted, stubborn fat that may not go away with diet and exercise alone.
With the ingredients used in Meticore don’t work individually to boost the metabolism, together they work very effectively, as shown in the hundreds of reviews for the supplement. What’s even better is that there is tons of research that supports each ingredient’s ability to improve bodily functions.
The entourage effect of ingredients sets Meticore apart from the dozens of other fat burning weight loss supplements on the market. There is also a lot of research that proves that as we get older, our metabolic rate decreases. By consuming a diet rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, this and other impacts of aging can be reversed. Meticore is chock full of these health-boosting ingredients!
Let’s face it; there’s no price tag you can put on personal health and overall well-being. If you’re willing to spend $40-$60 on a daily supplement, Meticore fits nicely into your budget. New customers can buy with complete confidence because of the brand’s 60-day money back guarantee.
This means you can try Meticore for two months, and if it doesn’t provide the benefits and results that you want, you can send back the empty bottles and receive a full refund, minus shipping costs.
Hakuouki Roadtrip Headcanons
Kondou Isami
-He is definitely primary driver if on the road with the group.
-His boundless patience not only makes him a levelheaded driver, but also ensures no one is getting fussed at for their antics.
-Asks frequently if everyone needs a potty break. Is gently reminded they are adults and the term "potty break" is for children.
-Leaves the snack stocking, fast food order gathering and navigating to Toshi.
-Many recollections and anecdotes accompany his driving. Loves to point out landmarks and beautiful scenery.
Hijikata Toshizo
-As a man who appreciates the solitude and quiet for accomplishing work... stuffing him in a car with the group is emotionally grating and his irritation threshold is low. Snappish in the car. (Repeats that it has nothing to do with motion sickness.)
-Riding shotgun helps him retain his sanity and navigating is a much needed distraction. (And, has nothing to do with motion sickness.)
-When it is his turn to take the wheel, he strives to make as little stops as possible. His overall goal is to retain their minimal funds and make their destination without an extra night's stay.
-Will yell that they just made a stop an hour ago and you should have peed then!
-Every stop requires him getting a coffee. Man hardly eats when on the road. His destination is his focus. He runs on caffeine. (And aspirin.)
Todou Heisuke
-He knows so many car games. Looked up car games just for this trip. Just as his energy makes him the Master Host at parties, he is the Master Entertainer in the car. It's an opportunity to bond with his friends and he is so stoaked for it.
-Only person who doesn't need a power nap. When surrounded by snoozing bodies, he uses the time to talk to Kondou-san and Hijikata-san for some catching up and life advice. Looks forward to this moment just as much as the rest of the trip.
-If no one is interested in a round of Twenty Questions or what have you, he will pull out his Switch. Willing to play alone, but he'd much prefer to Smash with his buddies. Brought extra Joycons. He's also willing to lend it to anyone bored.
-His optimism is never dowsed by any circumstances that arise. If there is a flat, he's willing to get help, call for assistance, or grab a jack. If there is traffic, has ways of entertaining everyone. Willing to dart into a gas station and get snacks. Happy to share fun, food or drink.
-He is also the master of music. Whether it is changing radio stations to playing his spotify playlists for the whole car, he picks the best tunes. He has a roadtrip playlist just for the journey. He collaborated with everyone, just to make sure that no one is left out. Unfortunately, this also exposes him to be griped at after so many songs grind Hijikata-san's nerves. How was he supposed to know there was a limit to Baby Metal songs? Wonders why Souji asked for so many... or, was it the fact that everyone was singing powerballads at the top of their lungs?
Okita Souji
-Speaking of Souji, please entertain this one in the car. He may not have bubbly enthusiastic energy like Heisuke, but this one has a capacity to make serious trouble when cramped into a car and bored. Chaos energy should never be contained without distractions. Everyone knows how unfunny it is to be stuck in a car with a cranky Souji. In order to avoid hair pulling, blame games and relentless button pushing, everyone does their best to keep him conversational if nothing else can be done. Gumny worms are a last resort.
-Thankfully, Souji also has the capability to take three power naps in the car and still arrive at the destination tired. However, no lap or shoulder is safe. Someone will be used as a pillow. If he has opportunity to rest on Chizuru's lap specifically, he will do so. Without permission. Declares it is because she doesn't stink like a man and women are just softer. Grins smugly to himself for the longest while as the car goes silent.
-He will ask "are we there yet?" Several times. He can see it clearly marked on the GPS how many miles they have left. That doesn't matter to him. If he and Heisuke start singing "are we there yet?" it guarantees Hijikata-san will snap and offer him a chance to drive. It's an absolute ploy to snag some Kondou-san time. Plus, it means the Oni can take a power nap. Not that Souji would set that up because he cares or anything. Don't get the wrong idea.
-Some moments he prefers to play games on his phone or take photos of the scenery rushing by. Souji doesn't mind staring out the window and thinking. He can wall himself off for introvert time, even shoved into a car. Headphones in, people out. Neko Atsume ensures no one will ask him questions or request he share the gummy worms. Those are his gummies. Kondou-san bought them.
-Asks for a milkshake at fast food stops. Sees how far he can go until Hijikata-san caves. "I don't want food. I just want a milkshake." (Only shares with Chizuru.)
-He likes to point out funny road signs and city names. So, so many puns with the Baka Trio.
-Souji is secretly a whole lot more excited to travel than he let's on. Plus, this group is his family. He can do a little better than tolerating everyone. He has a captive audience and is content to ride as long as he is included. Given the infectious level of cheer with the Baka Trio in the car, he might even sing along with them or goof off more than usual. He might even find it in himself to be helpful with getting snacks and drinks along the way.
Saito Hajime
-This man was prepared, packed and ready to go before anyone else. He made a checklist of everything he could need and anything that could be overlooked, checked it over three times and helped to pack the car and ensure what would be needed was accessible.
-He rose early to prepare himself and help others be prepared. He helped Souji and Heisuke pack. He took his motion sickness pill and has a large thermos filled with piping hot green tea. He also made a thermos with coffee for Hijikata-san (sugary, but black.)
-Saito has his headphones in often, but the volume low in case he is addressed. He may listen to soothing music and read a book on the history of katana. Reading in the car cuts the anxiety of being stuffed in a tin can at high speed with little wiggle room. He is grateful for the moments Souji steps in to block the extroversion chaffing his introvert soul.
-He brought a neck pillow to rest, but if he naps on anyone's shoulder he will apologize profusely. There are less tasks to focus on while riding and because this man works so hard without quite enough sleep, he will doze off. Thankfully, Souji has a pretty cozy shoulder.
-He is glad to step out and stretch his legs during a pit stop. Gases up the car without being asked. He will also wash the windows and Hijikata-san has to gently stop him from washing the entire car. Requests to drive through a car wash at the earliest convenience. Cuts a glare at Souji when he says he likes the mud. If Chizuru goes in to use the restroom, he will escort her. She needs protecc.
-Happiest when there is a beautiful rainbow or a lovely sunset on the horizon to admire.
Nagakura Shinpachi
-"Hey, do we have any snacks?" The main reason they have snacks is to keep him fed.
-This is the guy who sees the museum billboards or natural formations and requests they stop and take a look. Grumbles when the Vice Commander reminds him their budget is already tight, or they would have flown. They reach a middle ground once Hijikata-san promises they can see a museum once they get there.
-Will jokingly bemoan that they can't just drink in the car. Sano will give him a light scoff.
-Definitely will play on the Switch. Loves defeating Heisuke just to aggravate him and ask him if he needs a break from his overpowering gaming skills. This only makes Heisuke all the more pumped to win.
-"Hey, do you guys remember that time when..." What better way to pass the time than to rehash the good times? Has a funny story about practically everyone. Souji and Hijikata-san both threaten him should he begin to tell the stories they expect him to. He quiets down for a bit, only to begin a political discussion. Doesn't notice when Saito and Souji put in their headphones.
-The most vocal about restaurant requests. Would rather have a hearty meal than fast food, but orders two meals if that is their only option.
-You know what is really fun? Singing AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS! Encourages Chizuru to join in. Makes a puppy face until she relents.
Harada Sanosuke
-This man is an adult. Astute. Considerate. Well-mannered. Stuff him in a car with Heisuke and Shinpachi? That erodes into fun, goofing off time. Dance in the car? Sure! Bad singing contest? Oh, yeah!
-Still, he offers a hand to Chizuru to lead her out of the car on pit stops. Makes sure she is comfortable in the car.
-He did bring headphones for a moment's peace. Politely asks Saito to borrow his neck pillow for a nap. "Shinpachi, Heisuke. I'm going to sleep now. I'm tired. I don't want to play, I want to rest. I'm warning you both, if you touch me, I won't hold back. I'll knock your head off. Souji, that includes you, too."
-If all the chaos energy becomes just a tad too much to bear, he will lean towards the front and ask for a driving shift.
-On the whole, he is present to chat, help when asked and always aware of Chizuru needing just a little more tenderness than their pack of wild wolves.
-He might also text pictures to Shiranui of city names or cool sights. Smirks a little at the replies. When Shinpachi asks who he's texting, he doesn't give specifics. "A friend."
-He tries to avoid the role of peacemaker in the car, expecting everyone to behave. However, if necessary, he will wip out that big brother attitude and quell the situation. He isn't afraid to remind any of them how they are behaving in front of Chizuru. Is it a dirty move? Maybe. Does he care? Not really.
Yukimura Chizuru
-She's in a car with seven men. She did have nerves before entering, but mainly about how she would fit in with such a tight knit group.
-Her helpful attitude is appreciated by all. She finds herself being handed candies, given a pat on the back or a thank you to her face. She blushes happily about it all.
-She helped arrange luggage so they had optimal room. She appreciated all the strong men who were willing to help pack. It gave her great encouragement when they asked her give them insight.
-She has the tiniest of all the bladders. She is going to make all the pit stops she can. She does marvel at how well they all work together, despite being such different people.
-She gets dragged into so much silliness. She tries her hand at playing some video games with Heisuke, singing along to songs, any of the car games played and laughs at a lot of the antics in the car.
-Like Saito, she will help without requested. She sometimes gets snack or food orders from everyone to make the information short and accessible to Hijikata-san.
-She did bring some headphones, a book and the notes of thoughts on her phone to entertain herself. She doesn't need it so much as she expected. She loves to window gaze, take in the sights and spend time with them all. Road trips just feel like family to her.
MASTERLIST
Chapter 6 - Glass
Season 1, Episode 8
It was Stiles’ genius idea to get Scott wasted after Allison broke things off with him. Since Stiles provided the alcohol and Scott was the heartbroken one, Ramie decided it was only fair for her to be the designated driver. She followed the two boys into the woods, giggling as Stiles took another swig from the bottle of whiskey, clearly already drunk. Scott however, seemed fine. Scott and Stiles usually had about the same tolerance level, Ramie being the lightweight of the three, and Scott had definitely drank more than Stiles.
“Scott, you seem surprisingly sober,” Ramie called, as Stiles sat down on the ground, taking another swig from the bottle before laying on his back.
“I know,” Scott sighed, sitting down next to Stiles. “I think it’s the wolf thing… I’m pretty sure my body won’t let me get drunk, like I don’t need my inhaler.”
“My body will let me get drunk,” Stiles chuckled to himself. Scott gave him a glare as Stiles took another drink. Scott grabbed the bottle from his hand and shoved it towards Ramie.
“I’ll drive then,” He told her. Ramie raised her eyebrows at him but he shook the bottle, shoving it towards her again. She grabbed the bottle and took a drink, coughing a bit as it burned her throat. She definitely wasn’t going to be able to get on Stiles’ level of drunk, but she figured being a bit tipsy couldn’t hurt.
“Listen Scott, there are many girls, or guys, in the sea,” Stiles slurred, still laying on the ground.
“Fish,” Scott sighed. “Fish in the sea.”
“Fish? Why are you talking about fish?” Stiles gave Scott a confused look while Ramie just shook her head, drinking from the bottle again. “I’m talking about girls. I love girls.”
“We know,” Ramie sighed as Stiles continued to mumble about girls.
“Especially girls with nice hazel eyes,” Stiles sighed.
“Lydia’s eyes are more green, I’d say,” Ramie pointed out, drinking again from the bottle.
“Yeah, what I meant,” Stiles nodded aggressively. “Hey, take a drink! You’re not happy.” Scott ignored his friend and grabbed the bottle from his hand, handing it back to Ramie. Stiles’ brow furrowed, but he seemed to recover quickly as he reached for the bottle again, but Ramie kept it.
“I think you’re good for tonight bud,” She said as she took a drink herself, definitely feeling the effects after downing a few shots. She wasn’t one to drink a lot and was definitely tipsy. Not drunk, but a comfortable tipsy.
“Am I drunk?” Stiles asked suddenly, and Ramie snorted.
“Wasted,” Scott and Ramie said at the same time, which cause Stiles to cheer and raise his fist in the air. Ramie laughed but Stiles frowned when Scott didn’t join in with his cheers. “I know it hurts buddy. Well, I don’t know, but I’m sure it does. But you know what, as much as being broken up with hurts, being alone, hurts way worse.”
“I’ll drink to that,” Ramie said, pulling the bottle to her lips. Before she had a chance to drink anything the bottle was suddenly ripped from her hands. She jumped back, nearly on top of Stiles, and found two men standing over them. Stiles sat up quickly behind her.
“Look at the little teenagers getting drunk in the woods,” the man scoffed, waving the bottle in the air.
“Give it back,” Scott said, and Stiles hiccuped from behind Ramie.
“I think he wants a drink,” the other man teased.
“I said give it back,” Scott stood up slowly. “I want the bottle. You brought me here to get me drunk Stiles. I’m not drunk yet.” The man brought the bottle up to his lips and Scott stepped closer. “Give me the bottle of jack.”
“Scott,” Stiles warned, noticing what Ramie had also noticed, Scott’s claws showing up behind his back. The man handed Scott the bottle back quickly, and Scott threw it immediately, it smashing on a tree. Stiles let out an upset groan that Scott ignored. The two men gave Scott one final look, an almost scared one, then speed walked away. Scott looked down at Ramie and Stiles, who were still both on the ground.
“Let’s go,” Scott huffed, taking off in the direction of where the jeep was parked. Ramie got up quickly, the feeling from the alcohol definitely present as she tugged Stiles off the ground, who stumbled a bit but followed his two friends.
…
Scott ended up dropping Stiles and Ramie both off at Stiles’ house, Scott not wanting to leave drunk Stiles alone but too grumpy about Allison to want to stay with them. Ramie found herself shoving Stiles into the bathroom to change into pajamas while she went to get him water and aspirin for the morning. She definitely had not been drunk enough to get any sort of hangover herself, so she figured she’d just take care of him for the night. When she came back upstairs, Stiles was digging though his dresser.
“I already got you clothes Stilinski,” Ramie said, setting the water down on his nightstand. Stiles turned, a bundle of clothes in his hand and a grin on his face.
“For you,” He smiled, shoving the clothes towards her. “I don’t think you want to sleep in in jeans.” Ramie couldn’t help but smile at him, the big, dopey grin on his face and his glassy eyes. Stiles was definitely the lovey drunk type, as he had been telling Scott and Ramie the whole way home that they were his best friends in the whole world and about how much he loved them.
“Drink that water and take those pills,” Ramie pointed to the table. “I’m gonna go get changed.”
She left him alone in his room, going to bathroom across the hall. Once she stripped out of her clothes, she realized Stiles had given her one of his t-shirts and a pair of boxers. She figured he meant to grab shorts, but on her they were plenty long enough and she didn’t feel like upsetting drunk Stiles with his clothing choices, so she pulled them on and headed back to his room. She found him sitting on the edge of his bed, scrolling through his phone and giggling at something on the screen. He looked up when she entered, as she closed the door behind her.
“I drank the water!” He said happily. Ramie chuckled at his excitement, dropping her clothes on his desk chair. She turned back around to find his eyes on her, his mouth slightly open, as if he was in awe of something. She narrowed her eyes at him, wondering what he was doing.
“You look good in my clothes,” He mumbled, a small grin on his lips. Ramie was pretty sure she let out an audible gasp. She quickly recovered, knowing Stiles was definitely not thinking straight.
“Alright bud I think it’s bed time,” She turned towards his closet, searching in the bottom and trying to change the subject. “Where’s the air mattress?”
“I dunno,” Stiles mumbled from behind her, setting the water down on his nightstand again. “Just come sleep with me.”
Ramie raised her eyebrows at him from across the room. He simply smiled back, patting the bed next to him and pulling back the blankets.
“It’s okay Stiles, I’ll sleep on the floor,” She told him, breaking eye contact and pulling out her phone, plugging it into the charger that was on Stiles’ desk and setting an alarm for the morning.
“No,” Stiles smacked the bed next to him, pouting. “You’ll sleep here.” Ramie rolled her eyes and glared at him, and he patted the bed again, giving her a look that looked a lot like a puppy begging for food. She sighed, rolling her eyes again but giving in. She knew she shouldn’t but she couldn’t help but give in to him. She hopped over him on the bed and sat down next to him as he laid back. putting one of his arms behind his head.
“Let’s cuddle,” He said, sounding like a child. “Like when we were little.”
Ramie sat there for a second, looking over his face. She knew that he was drunk, and only being like this because of that reason. She knew she should just say no, and that she would just hurt her own feelings by giving in to him, but the bit of alcohol she still had in her system took over, and she found herself laying her head on his chest, curling into his side. His hand immediately moved to her hair, brushing through it lightly. Ramie set her hand lightly on his chest, her heart pounding.
“Thanks for staying with me,” Stiles said quietly from above her. She nodded, not trusting her voice. She hoped he couldn’t feel her heart beating against his side. She glanced up at him after he was quiet for a few minutes, wondering if he was trying to sleep. His eyes were still open, looking down at her already.
“What are you doing,” Ramie asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Stiles didn’t answer, his eyes studying her face. She could’ve sworn she saw his eyes flick down to her lips for a second, but the only light in his room came from the lava lamp plugged in next to his bed, and she convinced herself for a second it was a trick from the moving lights. That is, until he did it again, his head now moving closer to hers. Before she could even think his lips were on hers. It was a soft kiss, not too forceful but also not too gentle. She reacted instantly, melting into him, shifting so she was hovered over him slightly so her neck wasn’t bent at an awkward angle.
Stiles moved, pushing up on his elbows but not breaking apart their lips and Ramie rolled, her back now on the bed as he shifted over her. His hands were everywhere, moving from her hair to the side of her neck and down her sides, resting on her hips. She had one hand on his bicep and the other on the back of his head, threading through his hair lightly. Stiles shoved the blankets, which were getting caught between them, off to the side. Almost as quickly as it had started, the moment was interrupted by the sound of glass breaking. Stiles had successfully knocked his empty water glass off the nightstand while trying to move the blankets.
“Shit,” he mumbled, his face still extremely close to Ramie’s. She sat up quickly, realizing what had just happened. She had let drunk Stiles kiss her, and she knew it was a bad decision. Yet her head still felt foggy from the feeling of his lips.
“I’ll get it,” Ramie sat up quickly, climbing off the end of the bed. “I’ll clean it up, you go to sleep, drunkie.” She hoped joking with him would make things less awkward, but she knew her face was the color of a tomato. Stiles opened his mouth as if to protest, but Ramie was already on the ground, picking up the chunks of glass. She heard him sigh as he messed with the blankets, but she didn’t look back up at him. Ramie brought the broken glass downstairs without saying a word to him and found two reusable water bottles in the cupboard, filling them both up. She leaned against the outside of the fridge, the stainless steel cold to the touch. Her whole body felt like it was on fire, and she knew it wasn’t completely due to the bit of alcohol in her system.
“He’s drunk,” She told herself, drinking from her water bottle. “He probably won’t even remember in the morning.”
She trudged up the stairs, wishing she was drunk enough that she could forget what it felt like to have his lips on hers. When she entered his room, he was snoring on the bed and she couldn’t help but feel relieved that she didn’t have to face him just yet. The covers were pulled back next to him, like he had made the spot for her. She set the two water bottles down on the nightstand, crawling back into bed next to him. She turned her back to him and settled in, hyperaware of the boy behind her, her best friend, the boy she was definitely in way too deep with, the one who she was sure would regret his actions in the morning.
…
Ramie woke up to not only the sound of her alarm, but to Stiles groaning as well. For a second, she looked over at him and couldn’t help but smile at his scrunched up face, his eyes squinting as he rubbed a hand over his face. Then, she remembered what happened just hours before, Stiles kissing her. She got up quickly, moving over to her phone and shutting off the alarm. Stiles groaned loudly again, putting a pillow over his face.
“Why does it have to be so bright,” He mumbled through the pillow. Ramie laughed, sitting back down on the bed cross legged, scrolling through her phone. Stiles sat up after a minute and immediately grabbed the water bottle next to his bed, chugging the whole thing.
“How you feeling Stilinski,” Ramie asked as he gulped down water. Stiles nearly gasped for air after setting down he water bottle.
“My head hurts,” he grumbled, water dripping down his chin. He wiped it with the back of his hand, and then leaned forward, rubbing the heels of his hands into his eyes.
“Well you were pretty drunk,” Ramie said, setting her phone down and looking over at him.
“Yeah, I remember,” He said, his head still in his hands.
“You remember?” Ramie asked, unsure what he was getting at.
“Yeah, I think,” he looked up at her, almost timidly. “I don’t want to sound stupid so just correct me if I’m wrong… but did we kiss?”
“Yeah,” Ramie nodded, looking down at her hands in her lap. “But don’t worry about it, we were just drunk. It doesn’t matter.”
She didn’t want to make things awkward between them, and she definitely didn’t want Stiles to know that she would’ve gladly done the exact same thing completely sober.
“Right, yeah,” Stiles nodded with her. “People do stupid things when they’re drunk.” “Exactly,” She said, pretending that him using the word stupid didn’t absolutely crush her on the inside. “We’ll just forget it happened, it’s not big deal. Now c’mon, we need to get ready for school.” Ramie clapped her hands together and Stiles winced at the sound.
“This is why you shouldn’t drink on school nights,” Ramie tossed a flannel towards him, pulling out another for herself and headed towards the bathroom with his shirt and her jeans in hand. Once safely in the bathroom away from Stiles, she took a deep breath. She needed to take her own advice, forget about the previous night. They were drunk, it meant nothing. However, it was hard to believe that, when it definitely didn’t mean nothing to her.
The Edge of Summer {Self-Para}
Summer was stuck in a rut. She would wake up and think about how productive she had been the day after the full moon a month ago, and no amount of coffee helped her to get back to that mind space of energy. She never even asked Munro what the medicine had been called, and since she was ignoring him now, cut clean, she couldn’t ask. She couldn’t get anything more. Remembering being so vibrant and alive had made her feel sluggish and tired, and not really having anyone to talk to at school save for Piper, who was still busy being beautiful and popular and too busy for her, really. It brought her down a few levels. She had to find something to perk her back up - but what?
And the answer came in the form of a pack of 80 Caffeine Tablets from the local drug store - and what luck, they came to be buy one, get one fifty percent off. Don’t mind if she did.
Surely such things couldn’t be as bad as coffee, or the energy drinks that she sometimes had to go through around the full moon. And with her already being her own peppy-ish self most of the time, it might bring back some of the feelings from before, wouldn’t it? And then she could get out of her head and get things done. Be productive and active.
She took them normally, at first. Perhaps a little more than one should. She took a tablet with every meal. It gave her the pick-me-up she needed to get through her first classes, and when the crash started to come in, she would take another at lunch time. That first Monday, she managed to get through without too much trouble. Not the productivity that the other pill had given her, but still enough to breeze through a quiz with an A+, and do a good deal of research on one of her school projects. She even had enough energy left over to walk home instead of take the bus or bug someone for a ride, and discovered that with a little bit of effort, she could revive a little dead flower that had dropped out of someone’s bouquet on a side street she took to get home faster.
But over the course of the week, as her tolerance grew, she started to take more and more. Three in the morning on the way to school with her waterbottle, telling her dad that it was her birth control whenever he would catch her. She would skip lunch but take more. Her teachers were noticing a change in her, and they thought, for a time, that it as a good one. She was handing in her assignments early. Mainly because she couldn’t get to sleep at night and was skipping meals in order to finish them. She didn’t feel the need for sleep. Or to eat.
When she would take a nap and wake up in the morning to her alarm clock, she would immediately feel the effects of withdrawal. And then she would take more. She started going to different drug stores around the city to pick up the caffeine, in case one got suspicious of her. Maybe she was overthinking things - but it was better to be safe than sorry. Just because you were paranoid doesn’t mean that people aren’t actually watching you.
Thomas was a little slow on the uptake, mainly because Summer was already so perky as it was - and he had only really had a couple of months to get to know her. But she was starting to pull away from him. That was one thing that he had noticed right away. They still had their dinners together, him trying to do what he was learning in those cooking classes and it turned out alright, but she picked and talked more than she ate. She could talk and talk, she was like her mother in that way. At first, he didn’t mind that she would repeat the same story two or three times, but then it started to get more intense. Like it was hard for her to pick up any new stories, or information.
The first big sign that she was slipping was when a teacher called her into the office and handed her a test back. A big red D was written on the cover. 62%. Anything under 60% was considered a fail in this class. And she was just barely above the mark. “I know you can do better than this, Miss Savage,” The teacher had told her. “If there’s any problems going on at home, or if people are still bothering you...”
“Oh, no, everything is fine.” Summer assured, and she promised again and again that she was going to do better. She had to. She wasn’t going to sleep at all until she was better, got her grades back up, even looked better since she was losing a little weight from being too busy and distracted to eat most of the time. “I promise, I’m going to make it up. If I don’t get at least a ninety on the next test, I’ll give myself detention.”
“There’s no need to go that far,” The teacher said. But regardless, she passed over a package of papers. “Here’s some test prep for the next one - make sure that you study, Miss Savage.”
“One hundred percent!” Summer said, taking the package eagerly. She bounced along to her locker, to get to her secret stash since she felt like she was going to be reaching that crashing limit soon. However, the teacher wasn’t the only one who had noticed that something was a little off. Munro had been hiding there, leaning against the locker, making himself seen when Summer got close, and scared the shit out of her. “Oh my God! Don’t do that, jeez,” She said, groaning in frustration. “Wait, you don’t go here. What are you doing?”
“Well, how else am I supposed to see you?” Munro asked, with an eyebrow raise. “Don’t think I haven’t noticed. I don’t just get dropped very often like that.”
“I didn’t drop you,” Summer said, feeling a little huffy. She started to fiddle with the lock, getting the numbers wrong twice, three times, before finaly getting it open. “I just don’t think we have much to talk about, really. Is there something bad about that?”
“I know ghosting when I see it,” Munro said. Looking around to make sure that there were no teachers around, he pulled a little baggie out of his back pocket, and put it right on the shelf in the locker. It was easy for Summer to see that there was five pills of the same kind that he had given her before. She quickly took them and hid them in her gym shoes, without even thinking that this meant she was accepting it. “Those weren’t just a free gift, you know.”
“Then take them back,” Summer said with a shrug. “I didn’t ask for them, I just don’t want everybody seeing them.”
“No one gives a shit, Summer, I assure you,” Munro said, leaning forward. “I mean, I’m still just a little surprised you came to me rather than your boyfriend, since his family does the most trade in the city.”
Summer laughed, tucking her hair behind her ear. “If your way of trying to get me to be friends with you is to attempt to turn me against my boyfriend, my friends, my family - then you’re really deluded.”
“Not trying to turn you against anybody. Especially not your family. In fact...” He pulled out his phone out of his pocket and pulled up a photo. “Look familiar?”
Summer didn’t want to look at it, not trusting that it wasn’t some sort of weird dick pic or something, but eventually, her eyes did stop, and she gasped. She took the phone out of his hands, zooming in on the faces. “How do you have this picture of my mom?” She asked.
“That’s mine beside her. They were friends. So how about ... you stop ghosting me, keep being a client of mine, and ... I’ll set you up with my mom. Word is you’re always looking for more information.”
Summer took the pills back out of her locker once she was sure that no one was looking around at her, and shoved them back at Munro. “I don’t understand why you can’t just tell me what you know, out of the goodness of you heart. I would tell you anything about your parents if I had that information. And I wouldn’t expect anything in return.”
“That’s the difference between you and me,” Munro said, taking the bag. He slipped one of the pills out, and held it between his thumb and his index finger. “You’re a good girl. And I ... am not.”
“So let me get this straight,” She closed the locker, folded her arms in front of herself and looked him square in the eye. Being around the Laveaus so much had taught her how to be more forthcoming with her thoughts, even if it was risky. “You think you can use my mother as some sort of leverage for me buying pills from you? That I don’t even want?”
“Says the girl who snatched them pretty quickly,” Munro grinned. “I just want things to be like they were. And if you bring a bit of business, that’s cool. Also... we don’t want to make things awkward for Figaro. Not sure if she would like it if you try to make her choose between us.”
Summer was frowning now. Though it might seem that way to others, she wasn’t avoiding Munro because River didn’t like him. She really trusted his judgment, more so than her own. She didn’t have the best track record with people, given the bullies she would still try to be nice to. And though there was something sketchy about all of this, he was using two of her weaknesses against her. Her mother, and her best friend.
“This isn’t a good start to us being friends again,” She told him. “But - if our mothers were friends... but I am not buying anything from you again. I’m - I’m fine. Just a one time thing, for a rough day. Really.”
“Yeah, sure,” Munro said, not believing at all. He held that single pill in front of her, and noticed how her eyes went right to it, like a child looking at candy. “Open up.”
Summer pursed her lips and shook her head. But Munro didn’t let up. “It’s a freebie...” He offered.
And slowly, reluctantly, Summer opened her mouth, and he popped the pill right in. “Good girl, just like I knew you were. I’ll text you later. Have fun with your...” He noticed the study notes still in her hands. “Advanced Magical Theory?”
Summer swallowed the pill, and licked her lips, feeling a bit dirty for what had just happened. Munro flicked a curl out of his face, then walked out of the school, head down, keeping to himself, feeling very satisfied.
That bad feeling didn’t last long. She entirely rewrote an essay that she had botched for another class, highlighted and made notes on the study guide, managed to stay focused enough in her potions class and made one of the best ones out of all of her classmates, and answered not just one, not two, but seven questions correctly when the teacher did an oral pop quiz.
She was feeling on top of the world again, and she hated that she had to attribute that to Munro. Was it really blackmail when they were benefiting each other like this? She didn’t know, but it was suspicious enough that she knew there would be trouble if she told River about it. She was learning to be more forthcoming with her words, but she didn’t have the action aspect yet. River definitely did.
Another pill to keep a secret. Another reason for him to dislike Munro kept under wraps.
Do you have any tips for people trying to run their own roleplay guild? What are things you've learned from running Unit Eight?
Reblog if you wouldn’t mind some curious anons
Set your ground rules, boundaries, and expectations early on. Otherwise it’s complete chaos, you’ll become a door mat, and there will be no respect for leadership. Set ranks and entry level positions, make clear outlines on how member advance them, I use a “point” system behind the scenes that the members don’t have visibility to, used to track their IC behaviors both positive and negative during events.
Have some sort of leadership or management experience. It’s just my opinion but I don’t think anyone under the age of 21 is mentally prepared or educated to run a guild. Maturity is one thing, but people skills and experience is another.
Remember that you are a leader, and should set the example in your actions. Approaching it with a “do as I say, not as I do” mentally will turn your guild toxic and result in high turnover.
Everyone is different and the reality of the matter is; not everyone is a fit for your guild. Some characters will break the rules, some to the point where you would be “fired” from a job. It’s a hard pill for some people to swallow, I’ve had some people take it as it was while others threw a temper tantrum and resorted to mudslinging. You need to learn how to approach and deal with different and sensitive subjects in both a professional and timely manner. I’m tolerant of a few things, to a point, but I have several zero tolerance policies as well.
This can be difficult to control with various mixes of ages, ideals, views, opinions, ect. Bottom line is that everyone should be respectful, you don’t need to agree or like something that someone does, but that doesn’t give you the right to slam on it. Keep you guild channels and/or discord clean and moderated. Know the warning signs of possible problematic members and nip it in the bud early.
All guilds have the risk of turning cliquey, that’s just the reality of any social setting. It happens everywhere. Main causes of this are “love interests”, particularly the honeymoon phases and whirlwind loves that last maybe a month. This can shred your guild, especially if it involves and officer. Set ground rules for this, it’s why I have a conflict of interest policy. I’ve seen a lot of guilds go under because officers can’t keep it in their pants or because everyone is just trying to sleep their way to the top.
The other side of that coin is awareness. If you are not being intentionally inclusive then you are being unintentionally exclusive. Your members will see this and feel it, especially the new ones, and it will result in turn over and lack of interest.
Recruitment: shoot for quality over quantity. High member counts don’t mean a god damn thing, and the more people you have the higher the risk of guild explosion and drama is. Small groups are great early on, the “go big or go home” mentality with a guild just doesn’t work. Find good characters that are a solid fit with the image for your guild, and don’t discount the “blank slate” characters. I love to see new or unskilled characters grow and develop within a guild, taking in “master assassins” and the like right off the bat can stunt your guild growth, especially with events. Let your members shape the guild with it’s growth, don’t just railroad them, and give them goals and milestones to reach.
Finally; make the time for your guild. Create for it, build something for your members. Draft story lines and events, don’t just wing it at the last minute. You get what you give in a guild, from top to bottom. RP is a hobby, yes. But being a GM is like a part-time job, you are taking on that responsibility. If you don’t have the time, patience, or attention span to run and create, then I would implore you to reconsider.
John/Keith WIP excerpt
Just a few short months later, Keith is drumming for The High Numbers instead of The Who. The name change comes courtesy of their new managerial counsel, Pete Meaden.
Meaden’s the sharp-dressed, smooth-talking type with ideas as outsized as his appetite for pills. Keith isn’t wholly convinced by the man and his act, but a fledgling drummer’s voting shares within the collective don’t count for much, not yet anyway, so he defers to the others. If Pete and Roger can set aside their chronic bickering to agree on Meaden’s new direction, which entails turning the lot of them into the London scene’s unofficial mod representatives, he supposes it must be a good thing.
Keith doesn’t object to the prescription of neat haircuts and nice clothes, but John does. It turns their stoic bassist—The Ox, as Keith has come to privately nicknaming him—into a raging bull. Keith sits next to him in the barber shop while he glowers and snarls in between snips of the shears. It’s the first time he’s seen John visibly upset by anything.
It’s the principle of the thing, Keith comes to understand. John will tolerate all manner of senseless, arbitrary insanity in his immediate vicinity—The Who, er, The High Numbers, are awfully good at dishing that up, amongst one another and out in the clubs at night—but he draws the line at being shoved into a prefabricated mold. Keith can respect that.
The next night, John shows up at the Goldhawk in his new and smartly tailored suit, with the knuckles on his right hand scabbed over.
“What happened?” Keith asks him, innocently enough.
“Broke the bathroom mirror,” John grumbles.
“It’ll grow back out soon enough,” says Keith, a little thrilled by this side of John.
“I look stupid,” John insists.
“I think you look great,” Keith reassures him, and means it. John looks at him like he’s waiting for him to bust out laughing, but Keith wouldn’t do that.
John plays like a champ even with a battered hand. He’s the closest thing they’ve got to a true professional, after all. Keith has scraped his own skills together out of furious, single-minded desire, and what he lacks in finesse he makes up for in drive. John, he is finding, is more than well-equipped to keep up with this level of intensity, and the two of them charge ahead of Pete’s jaw-rattling guitar chords in complementary fashion, two racehorses neck-and-neck.
It’s hard to see in these light-starved quarters, through the sheen of sweat soaking his precisely manicured fringe and dripping into his eyes. When John wants to shift gears, he’ll lead Keith with an exaggerated swoop of the bass, its neck gleaming like an oversized conductor’s baton. John will sometimes throw an approving nod over his shoulder, and Keith’s not sure if it’s his drumming or the wild-man grin he can’t keep off his face that prompts it.
Halfway through the set, all hell breaks loose. A chest-puffing young man climbs up on stage during a brief reprieve between songs, three sheets to the wind. Swaying, he seizes Roger by one of his fancy jacket lapels.
“It’s my girl Lucy’s birthday,” the man says. “Play Cliff’s latest or I’ll chin ya!”
Keith, John, and Pete have a fraction of a second to exchange a knowing look among themselves, and then Roger cuffs the poor fellow hard enough to send him sailing face-first back into the audience. The West London crowd, loath to waste the opportunity for a good old fashioned pub brawl, escalates from there. Two of the man’s mates swarm the stage as fists and beer bottles go flying in the red-tinted dark, and while Roger gets one them in a headlock in short order, the second one is headed straight for the drum kit.
Keith is so shocked by this turn of events that he sits there and stares at the furious drunk stumbling in his direction. Why would anyone want to punch up the innocent drummer? What has he done to deserve this? He’s moments from being throttled when a towering shadow comes barreling down stage right and throws his would-be attacker off course. The collision makes a thunderous noise through the amplifiers, and Keith realizes that John has taken down the threat with his bass guitar still plugged in and slung around his hip.
John reaches a hand out over the snares, beckoning urgently. “I think we’ve overstayed our welcome this evening.”
Cheating on the Pete/Roger long haul with a Keith/John one-shot I hope to publish soon, set in the early days, around ‘64/’65. I have to do more research to determine when John got the official nickname, “The Ox,” but I like the idea that Keith had it in mind before anyone else. John did, in fact, angrily punch out his mirror after being given his mod haircut, so of course I had to include that anecdote.
This one goes out to you, @deacy-dearest, for tirelessly waving the Keith/John banner (as we all should) and putting out fantastic fanfic content to boot.
Annotated Bibliography
Winnicott, D. (1986) Home is where we start from. England: London
In this collection of essays we learn of Winnicott’s key teachings, presented to a lay audience. He explains attachment theory, the ‘good enough environment’, the contribution of the Mother to society, adolescence and the relationship between the individual and their facilitating family group. He explores concepts of health versus illness through his lens as a psychoanalyst in addition to to his medical background. It is extremely helpful to see how foundation concepts of personality, the very make up of human emotional development can be applied to such a variety of cultural topics such as monarchy, the Pill and mathematics. He brings clarity to these issues and offers me a model for applying depth of insight about the subconscious and the effect of early childhood environment on later life. By uncovering gaps or repression in the individual’s psyche the psychotherapist can facilitate milestones of developmental progress, albeit at a later stage of maturation.
Yalom, I. (2002) The Gift of Therapy. US: HarperCollins
This is a handbook of 85 tips and instructions built upon 35 years of clinical practice and teaching. He paints a picture of a therapist in a way that inspires me to rise to the challenge of training and the ongoing character growth that is so crucial to this profession. He promotes curiosity, humility and transparency, and breaks away the the image of the therapist as an all-knowing provider of interpretations, or a blank canvas to absorb transference. He gives a practical guide for mining the here-and-now aspects of the therapeutic encounter to further the process of therapy. He describes tools for incorporating the therapist’s own feelings into the mix as well as how to explore dream material, how to take a history and how to look at their present; how their daily life is organised and peopled. He writes with deep pride on the privilege of helping others find meaning, health and joy.
Skynner, Cleese (1983) Families and how to Survive Them London: Vermilion
This was a a whistle-stop tour through all the major themes of child development, identity, attraction, relationships and family dynamics written as a conversation between Robin Skynner, a psychotherapist and John Cleese his former patient. They discuss the continuum that exists with optimally healthy families at one end; dysfunctional families with inter-generational problems at the other; and the “normal” families in the middle in which we see an expected mix of ‘screened off’ feelings alongside coping mechanisms, defenses and social norms to smooth the way. Skynner draws on Freudian ideas as well as later work by more recent therapists and analysts who looked at how families work as a system. Each part affects all other parts of the system. By considering inter-relationships through the eyes of a typical family we can learn about letting go of inherited mistakes and move forward to optimal family life.
Van Der Kolk, B. The Body Keeps the Score, United Stares: Penguin
This book is about how trauma impacts a person causing long term suffering to victims, their families and future generations. Using scientific methods such as brain scans and clinically sound investigations, Van Der Kolk looks at how the mind and body are transformed by traumatic events; how neural networks are formed as coping mechanisms and may later morph into unwanted behaviours. This is followed by a paradigm of treatment that seeks to give individual patients ownership of their narrative, their bodies and a route to self awareness and healing. Yoga, EMDR, neurofeedback and theater are offered as examples of pathways to recovery and I believe that art therapy is another good candidate for an embodied type of therapy, one that does not rely on talking alone. This book answered questions about my own pattern of mild symptoms and has opened up the whole field of mind/body connection in relation to trauma and healing.
Axline, V.M. (1964) Dibs In Search of Self. London: Penguin
Virginia M. Axline has written the true story of Dibs, her client; a talented and sensitive child who was trapped in isolation due to the lack of emotional connection in his life. Through psychotherapy - play therapy to be precise - he regained his sense of self and was eventually able to thrive, utilise his gifted nature and contribute to society. It is an eloquent case study obliquely laying out the principles of play and art therapy. The therapist built the safe environment in which the child could open up and slowly verbalise his deeply felt emotions. reparation with his parents blossoms. It is notable that the therapist made it safe for Dibs to express negativity. This teaches us to think about hostility as a sign sometimes of adequate ego strength for the feelings to be articulated. In that sense, aggression is a sign of health! This book is a beautiful testimony to the power of psychotherapy to transform lives.
Malchiodi, C. (2011) Trauma Informed Art Therapy and Sexual Abuse in Children. In: Goodyear-Brown, P. (ed.) Handbook of Child Sexual Abuse: Identification, Assessment and Treatment. United states: John Wiley & Sons
This chapter deals with how art therapy helps children who have suffered sexual abuse to articulate their sometimes unutterable experiences in a manner that the therapist can understand while within what is tolerable for the child. Trauma informed art therapy involves using art materials to address hyper-arousal and to teach relaxation, referencing the specific neuro circuit that is activated by hands on activities of a soothing nature. The sensory and tactile qualities of art materials need to be taken into consideration, how they are central to trauma recovery, but equally how they may trigger memories of distressful events. The somatic approach, using colour and shape enables children to locate the place in the body where trauma is held so they can learn to diminish distress. The author comments on the relevance of culturally sensitive materials and projects. This has been a rich article for me, linking my reading on trauma, with art therapy for a client group I may want to work with in the future.
Cane, F. (1951) The Artist in Each Of Us. United States: Art Therapy Publications
This book bridges art and therapy. It aims to give the reader a means to achieving a richer art and a more integrated life. It looks at how movement, feeling and thought work together. I was intrigued to read detailed technical instructions for accessing subconscious material which can be used to reach higher levels of artistic expression and also personal healing. The case studies record the progress of her students and how transcendence was coaxed up through fantasy, play, rhythmic movements, chanting and other indirect means until it could be released for union with the conscious. I tried out some of these techniques and was surprised to discover not only the catharsis, but also the unexpected outcomes of artwork spontaneously arising from my own psychological material. It shows me how the perceptive teacher can awaken in her students their own creativity and direct them to find solutions for subtle or complex inner dilemmas.
Dalley, T. (ed.) (1984) Art as Therapy. An Introduction to the use of art as a therapeutic technique. London: Routledge
This book is an introduction to the theories that underpin art therapy and is broad in it’s range of contributing authors. We get an outline of the role of art within a therapeutic framework, the manifestation of art as play, as a language of symbols and development. The historical links between art education and art therapy are explored; the differences and what they have in common; and a possibility for merging the two fields. Each chapter on a specific client group offers insights for working with these vulnerable people in a way that will give direct therapeutic benefit.
I found the chapter on art therapy in prisons to be particularly enlightening. The author was clear about the actual constraints of working in that environment, what the pitfalls might be and she presented practical guidance on overcoming them. She promotes a vision for how arts can transform the most ant-social of prisoners into creative, productive people; this raises pertinent questions for the current justice system.
Price, J. (1988) Motherhood, What it Does to Your Mind London: Pandora Press
A fascinating book delving into the psychology of mothering written by a female psychiatrist and psychotherapist. It ties up the concepts of attachment theory with the realities of modern relationships and societal expectations. It is presented through the lens of a Woman, a woman who lived through her own mother-daughter dynamic, pregnancy, giving birth, breast feeding and the like. She looks at how our culture and family story play out in our own lives whether consciously or unconsciously. By normalising much of the natural difficulties of mothering, this book can offer solace in trying times.
I am a mother of four boys and pregnant with my fifth child, so I am justified to claim that his book ought to become mainstream knowledge. It is through lived experiences that we can most genuinely form opinions and then reach out to help others in a professional capacity.
Case, C. Dalley, T. (1992) The Handbook of Art Therapy London: Routledge
This handbook is a bird’s eye view of the profession. It covers the theories of psychoanalysis and how it intersects with art as well as a detailed look at the practical aspects of employment as an art therapist in jargon-free language. This gives a beginner art therapist a survival guide for those inevitable first forays into work. I gained a grasp on the complexities surrounding room set-up or lack of appropriate dedicated space. A how-to guide on various forms of note taking making use of the same example session throughout the different formats was extremely helpful. There is clear preparation for supervision, referrals, working in an institution, operating as part of a team versus being isolated and potentially being misunderstood. Reading this was an important step towards becoming a competent practitioner.
Hgh X2HGH Supplementation - What Actually Works? An HGH Evaluation
If you are at all thinking about anti-aging news or nutritional supplements, you have actually most likely heard about hGH or Human Development Hormonal Agent. Although it is necessary to review what HGH is and also just how it functions, the main emphasis of this post is to review the different kinds of HGH supplementation. What Is Development Hormone?
GH is a hormonal agent released by the pituitary gland. It generally releases the hormone in bursts. GH levels are high throughout the age of puberty and then fall off. One third of the 60+ adults produce NO GH whatsoever!
What Does It Do?
Why should we care about our GH degrees? GH is necessary in repairing harmed cells, advertising cell regrowth, improving muscle mass growth, burning fat, as well as supports healthy blood pressure and cholesterol degrees.
Low GH degrees might extremely well be the reason a few of us age much faster than others. Certainly, heredity as well as life style choices factor right into that.
That relies on your age and also existing GH level. Variables that assist with GH manufacturing are a low-fat, high protein diet, exercise, lots of sleep as well as avoiding anxiety. If you are over 40 and also really feeling slow-moving, opportunities are you may benefit from a GH supplement.
Which one works better? It's probably a case of trial and error to see just how your body responds. There are numerous medical professionals that assert none of the oral sprays function. There are additionally lots of individuals utilizing them that insurance claim to see results. There are aspects to consider when selecting a homeopathic spray-- For more discussion and also my suggestion, see the internet site listed below.
Nutritional Supplements
Nutritional supplements have been made use of by professional athletes and also body contractors for some time yet just lately have begun to capture on with the traditional public as part of an anti-aging program. I'm not speaking about the nutrient supplements, yet specific amino acids that promote GH production.
The amino acids that stimulate the release the GH are arginine, lysine, ornithine, tyrosine and also tryptophan. Nevertheless, it has been discovered that just a specific type of arginine (arginine pyroglutamate) integrated with L-lysine makes the most effective GH releaser. Vital Variables to Know-- Please read this
You may improve outcomes if you DON'T take your GH releaser on a daily basis. It ends up that the body can establish a tolerance to GH supplements. It relies on your age and GH levels yet every various other day to only 2 or 3 times a week must be sufficient. It may likewise be practical to transform supplements. Use the oral spray for a month or more, modification to the nutritional supplements and after that relax from both for a month. Once again, this would certainly be part of your own individual trial and error.
These are supplements that contain a percentage of actual artificial growth hormone. They usually can be found in spray form and are need to fulfill FDA guidelines on how much HGH to consist of. The idea is to boost manufacturing of your very own HGH by using a small amount of synthetic Hgh X2.
One more crucial consideration is making use of aspirin or antihistamines. They have actually been revealed to block the GH launch and also ought to not be taken within 8 hours before or after you take your GH supplement.
Fat or a fatty meal will certainly also badly reduce the release of GH. Beware what you consume previously as well as after your supplementation.
To conclude, HGH supplements for individuals over 40 can prove to be part of an anti-aging routine. It is essential to do your study to stay clear of squandering your cash. Do your very own testing to see what works for you but be smart about it.
The only CBD medication that is currently FDA-approved is Epidiolex, which the agency approved last year for the treatment of certain types of epilepsy.
Joy suffered from both chronic pain and sleeplessness, and her search for a natural remedy brought her to oil CBD. She tested seven different CBD brands, and only one of which was effective, which prompted her to make an honest company with pure products that can cure health issues and change lives.
Accurate Clinic promotes patient education as the foundation of it’s medical care. In Dr. Ehlenberger’s integrative approach to patient care, including conventional and complementary and alternative medical treatments, he may encourage or provide advice about the use of supplements. However, the specifics of choice of supplement, dosing and duration of treatment should be individualized through discussion with Dr. Ehlenberger. The following information and reference articles are presented to provide the reader with some of the latest research to facilitate evidence-based, informed decisions regarding the use of conventional as well as CAM treatments.
When you vape CBD , it enters your lungs and takes effect quickly, and also leaves the body quickly. Oils and tinctures placed under your tongue are absorbed into the bloodstream faster and linger longer. The frequency of your usage also determines how long CBD stays in your body. This is why it’s recommended you use it for at least a week to see if it works for you. Though it's often well-tolerated, CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue.
CBD appears to also antagonize the excitatory effects of THC by delaying the onset of the high, while also making it last as much as twice as long. Some of us refer to that as ‘creeper’ bud when the effect doesn’t seem to be there after consumption, but then all of a sudden…BOOM…it comes out of nowhere slamming you like a ton of bricks.
Far-reaching but mostly unsubstantiated claims about cannabidiol have made it a popular therapy for a variety of ailments. Hopkins expert Ryan Vandrey discusses the 'cure-all' myths associated with the drug and recent study findings. Cosmetic Dermatology Program, says Kalmaste CBD Oil United Kingdom may play a role in hydrating the skin and have anti-inflammatory effects, so using a product that contains CBD might help with treating dry skin or certain inflammatory skin disorders. However, it is sold in the form of capsules/pills, tinctures, vape cartridges, or topicals like lotions, balms, and creams.
This minimal amount is already not enough to cause a high, hence the legality of industrial hemp. It’s important to note that while some people confuse CBD with THC , which is also found in the cannabis plant, the two are different. CBD is not intoxicating and does not cause the euphoric side effects commonly associated with THC. That means you can use CBD products without having to worry about THC causing any sort of reaction.
The latter is a low resin strain, while the former contains a much higher content of resin. CBD oil churned out from marijuana plant may contain higher levels of THC. As such, it’s gaining popularity in the health & fitness space, with a number of scientific studies saying it might actually help heal or treat many ailments such as anxiety, depression and chronic pains.
MajorDo not take this combination.Clobazam Clobazam is changed and broken down by the liver. Cannabidiol might decrease how quickly the liver breaks down clobazam. This might increase the effects and side effects of clobazam.ValproateValproic acid can cause liver injury.
For instance, if a brand claims that their “highly potent CBD oil can cure cancer”, then that’s reason enough for you to steer clear of that CBD company. Nevertheless, hemp farming and CBD product making have been legalized and regulated in the US, among several other countries.
Both come from the same plant, but the difference in their production dramatically changes the end result. To explain why these two oils are different, it helps to first understand which parts of the hemp plant are used during production. CBD products in the USA (with the exception of the FDA-approved epilepsy drug Epidolex) were lumped into the same category as heroin, according to federal drug laws. However, when Donald Trump approved the Farm Bill into law during December 2018, it legalized CBD oil that is extracted from hemp and should only contain no more than 0.3% THC.
Or that CBN will leave you feeling more groggy and sleepy than THC does. The THC to CBN transformation also happens during the drying process to some extent, decreasing the amount of THC as the buds age. Contrary to what some people believe a plant cannot be made into a CBD rich plant if it lacks the genetic make up to do so. The ratios of THC, CBD and all other cannabinoids are genetically pre-determined.
Hypertension treatment: Medication, lifestyle, and more
New Post has been published on https://depression-md.com/hypertension-treatment-medication-lifestyle-and-more/
Hypertension treatment: Medication, lifestyle, and more
Hypertension is the medical term for high blood pressure. It means too much force pushes against the arteries that carry blood from the heart to the body.
According to the American College of Cardiology (ACC), a person should start hypertension treatment involving lifestyle changes, and sometimes medication, when their blood pressure reaches 130/80 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg).
Hypertension affects nearly half of adults in the United States. It can cause damage to the heart, blood vessels, kidneys, and other organs over time, potentially causing heart attacks, strokes, heart failure, or kidney disease.
This article discusses medications, lifestyle adjustments, and alternative medicine for hypertension. It also offers tips for living with hypertension and examines the outlook for the condition.
There is a range of blood pressure medications that have various effects on the body. The following are different classes of drugs, how they work, and their potential side effects:
Diuretics: These drugs help the body remove excess salt and water. Some also reduce potassium, which may result in weakness. An example is chlorothiazide (Diuril).
Beta-blockers: These drugs lower the heart’s workload. Side effects may include slow heartbeat and fatigue. An example is metoprolol.
Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors: These drugs enable the body to produce less angiotensin, a chemical that narrows the arteries. Side effects may include a rash and loss of taste. An example is captopril (Capoten).
Angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs): These block the effects of angiotensin, enabling blood vessels to stay open. They may sometimes cause dizziness. An example is candesartan (Atacand). Doctors do not prescribe ACE inhibitors and ARBs together because they have similar effects.
Calcium channel blockers: These drugs prevent calcium from entering the cells of the blood vessels and heart, an effect that relaxes narrowed blood vessels. They may cause swollen ankles and palpitations, which is an irregular heartbeat. Examples are amlodipine and bepridil (Vasocor).
Alpha blockers: These drugs relax the muscle tone in the artery walls. Side effects may include dizziness and a fast heart rate. An example is doxazosin mesylate (Cardura).
Alpha-2 receptor agonists: These drugs reduce the activity of the part of the nervous system that produces adrenaline, a hormone that strengthens the force of the heart’s contractions. Side effects may include drowsiness or dizziness. An example is methyldopa (Aldomet).
Combined alpha and beta blockers: Doctors may order the administration of these drugs via a person’s vein if they are undergoing a hypertensive crisis. They may cause a drop in blood pressure when an individual stands up from a seated position. Examples are labetalol and carvedilol (Coreg).
Central agonists: These drugs decrease the ability of a blood vessel to contract. Side effects vary with the medication, but they may include dry mouth and drowsiness. An example is clonidine hydrochloride (Catapres).
Peripheral adrenergic inhibitors: These drugs block chemicals in the brain that send a message to the blood vessels to constrict. Side effects may include heartburn and a stuffy nose. An example is guanadrel (Hylorel).
Blood vessel dilators: These drugs relax the muscles in the walls of blood vessels. Side effects may include palpitations and headaches. An example is hydralazine hydrochloride (Apresoline).
Doctors define resistant hypertension as blood pressure higher than 140/90 mm Hg after treatment with three or more medications. The medications should include optimal doses of the following:
While scientists do not fully understand the causes of resistant hypertension, they theorize that it involves excessive sodium retention in the kidneys. For this reason, the ACC advises one of these additional treatments:
Spironolactone: For a person with a potassium level below 4.5 millimoles per liter (mmol/L) if they are likely to respond to this type of medication.
Other potassium-sparing diuretics: For individuals with a potassium level of less than 4.5 mmol/L who cannot tolerate spironolactone. An example is eplerenone (Inspra), which acts similarly to spironolactone but has fewer side effects.
A double dose of diuretic: For people with a potassium level higher than 4.5 mmol/L.
Healthy lifestyle practices can help prevent or reduce hypertension. People can try the following approaches:
Eat a nutritious diet: This includes high-fiber foods, such as fruits and vegetables. It also involves foods plentiful in potassium and protein but low in saturated fat and salt.
Stay physically active: Current guidelines advise 150–300 minutes of moderate exercise, 75–150 minutes of vigorous exercise, or an equivalent combination of moderate and vigorous exercise per week. The physical activity recommendation for children and adolescents is 60 minutes per week.
Aim for a moderate weight: Eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly can help with weight management. One approach is the DASH diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension), which limits red meat, salt, and added sugars.
Stop smoking: Because smoking increases blood pressure and the risk of a heart attack and stroke, quitting can help reduce these health issues.
Get enough sleep: The risk of hypertension, heart disease, and stroke increases when individuals do not have enough regular sleep.
Limit alcohol intake: Since alcohol can increase blood pressure, people should limit their daily intake. Males should have no more than two drinks per day, and females should have no more than one drink per day.
Research suggests some types of alternative medicine can produce small decreases in blood pressure in individuals with hypertension. These include tai chi, meditation, yoga, and qigong.
Tai Chi
Tai chi is an exercise that combines deep diaphragmatic breathing with graceful body movements. An older 2013 study reviewed 18 clinical trials investigating its effects on hypertension. Researchers found weak but encouraging evidence that it may help reduce hypertension.
Meditation
Meditation involves focusing the mind on a particular thought or object. A 2017 review evaluated the effects of meditation on the risk of heart and blood vessel diseases. It found a potential benefit but could not draw definite conclusions.
Yoga
Yoga involves poses and slow, gentle movements. An older 2014 review of 120 studies assessed the benefit of yoga on hypertension in 6,693 participants. Most of the studies reported that yoga could reduce hypertension and suggested that clinical guidelines should include yoga as a therapy.
Qigong
Qigong is an exercise that involves coordinating breathing patterns with meditation and rhythmic movements.
An older 2015 meta-analysis reviewed 20 clinical trials evaluating the effects of qigong on 2,349 people with hypertension. The results suggested it was an effective therapy, but the findings warrant further research.
A hypertensive crisis is when an individual has a systolic blood pressure higher than 180 mm Hg or diastolic blood pressure higher than 120 mm Hg. A hypertensive emergency is when those readings are also accompanied by signs of organ damage.
Systolic is the top blood pressure reading, which shows the force on the arteries during a contraction of the heart during a heartbeat. Diastolic is the bottom reading, which indicates the force on the arteries as the heart relaxes between beats.
People with a hypertensive emergency need rapid-acting medications that a health care provider administers through a vein. Different conditions can cause this serious issue, and the drug of choice depends on the cause. A doctor treating the person will need to attempt to reduce their blood pressure slowly, to avoid dangerous side effects if the person’s blood pressure drops too fast.
Since hypertension often does not produce symptoms, it has the name “the silent killer.” In addition to the lifestyle changes mentioned above, it is helpful for someone to take their medications precisely according to their doctor’s directions.
This includes not skipping a dose or cutting a pill in half. Doctors also recommend taking medications at the same time every day.
The American Heart Association (AHA) notes that the risk of death from a heart attack or stroke doubles with every 10 mm Hg diastolic increase or 20 mm Hg systolic blood pressure increase in individuals aged 40–89.
A person’s outlook depends on how well they can control their hypertension. People should visit their doctor regularly to find out their blood pressure measurements and take appropriate action according to their doctor’s advice.
Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is fairly common in the U.S. It can cause heart attacks, strokes, heart failure, or kidney disease because of the damage it can have on organs in the body.
Treatment for hypertension may include medications such as beta-blockers. However, other treatment options exist, including lifestyle adjustments such as eating a balanced diet, and avoiding alcohol and smoking.
Other approaches, such as meditation and certain breathing techniques, may also help.
