I said I was going to do a new drive for the New Year! It's a teensy bit late, but it's the thought that counts.

Hi! My name is Sea, and I like to collect things. 💙

Specifically, as of February this year, I have made it my mission to collect as many resources for the Final Fantasy community as I can; including, but not limited to: Communities, Events, Free Companies, How-To Guides, Lore, Tools and more! I have compiled them into Sea's Community Compendium for FFXIV Creatives, a venture I hope will service as a directory for new and old FFXIV players alike to find places and things they might not otherwise know about, and I'm proud to say that the Compendium has over a hundred individual entries!

...But I want more.

Specifically, as much as this is a call to introduce new people to the Compendium, it is a call for anyone who might know of specific resources/communities that not in the document to take a moment's time out of their day to let me know about them. You can submit specific resources via:

You do not need to be a resource/server owner to submit; there just needs to be a publicly accessible link. ✨

Projects like mine equally cannot survive without the support of the community. If you like what I do, please reblog this post or share it with your friends; post it in your community servers or link it on your social media(s). The more visibility I get, the larger the Compendium becomes and the more likely you are to find a resource or community to suit your needs.

Okay, but really, Is my space suitable for the Compendium? Most of the time, yes! Below the read more is some more information/stipulations. This is all publicly available on the document.

Below are the following things I do not accept on the Compendium:

Personal/Single-Character LFC ads. (Though these get posted to the SEAFLOOR Tumblr Community when I find them!)

Content intended for or can be used for bullying, harassment and OOC gossip. E.g. ‘Secrets’ blogs, receipts, callout posts, etc. This does not include IC tabloid blogs or other ventures used to generate roleplay.

Communities that do not have an RP/writing element (large-scale exempt).

Modding outside of general how-to guides and compendiums of a similar spirit to this. This is for no other reason other than I do not want the document to be drowned in mod-related links.

Anything I find personally distasteful or goes against the spirit of this project.

Common-sense rule applies.

I want to put my community on the Compendium but we have an application process. Is this okay?

Yes! Just note somewhere in your application that's a requirement. The only thing that is mandatory for the Compendium is that you must be open to new members or have a public-facing/accessible facet. There's no point advertising a community if no one can join it in some way!

I want to put my Community on the compendium but I only have x number of members —

Also totally okay! People don't start with large communities. Activity is a must but, whether your server has two or two thousand members, if you're looking for new people to join, I'd love to help you find people.

I want to put my community/resource on the Compendium but I worry its too niche?

Okay, and? If your Eorzean Fishing Alliance has four members but you roleplay every second weekend, I still want to know about it. The same goes for resources; if it's relevant to the game, it'll be useful to someone.

How active does a community need to be?

If you find a community has not been active in about two/three months, send me a message and I'll take a look at it. Communities have ebbs and flows, especially event spaces that may take hiatuses depending on member interest/life events. I'm not strict in my implementation provided a space isn't dead. If a link or anything is broken, contact me asap!

Wow, has it actually been another year already? Apparently so! And as such, we are now bringing you yet another ADZ Wrapped! For those of you who have been here since last year, you know the drill. For those of you who haven't, well...it's exactly what it sounds like!

This post is so long this year compared to last year that we need a readmore. Under the cut we go!

Our biggest change was probably the addition of three new mods: Vega (Mod Budgie), Laur (Mod Quoll), and Nox (Mod Magpie)! The need for new personnel just speaks to the success and growth of the group, and we thank you all for our chance to grow. And haven't they just done a fantastic job?

Next, raw data! Including the mod team, we are now up to 108 muns and a whopping 253 muses! That is far bigger than we ever could have imagined. Our largest Direction was Center, with 73 muses! Just behind it was North with 58, South with 46, West with 39, and then East with 36! To put things in perspective, our biggest Direction last year had 30 muses, and our smallest had only 6. Of course, Direction size doesn't necessarily indicate popularity. South Advocate Mikaves Bell, written by Owl, has been actively pursued by at least three different guys this year! North Advocate Vera Graves also seems to have some admirers lurking about, though the only one to have actively made a move is Randy Orlando, written by Sety! Poor guy, you tried so hard...

Our member base has also made a lot of progress in their Wave resistance! While we do have quite a few new arrivals, with 111 muses at Rank 0, we have 58 muses at Rank 1, 43 muses at Rank 2, 16 muses at Rank 3, 11 muses at Rank 4, and 14 muses at Rank 5! We'd also like to shout those who have managed to hit Rank 5 just this year: Arcade with Alcryst, Sami with Dan Heng, Katie with Hesperia Doshin, Lizard with Julian Zenith, Hansie with Kris Dreemurr, Lemon with Agent Eight, Crea with Nathrae Amatista, Soren with Neuvillette, and Mocha with Yusei Null! (I, Addison, also managed to hit Rank 5 with Musiea and Ronan Muir but y'all know I work from home. My ass does NOT need celebrating.)

While the majority of muses (200, to be exact) are 18 years or older, we did have quite a few young muses this year! 37 of our current muses are 17 years old or younger. And though they are small in number, the kids and teens have made quite an impact on the community! We've also seen a lot of Path development. Idealist continues to be the largest at 46, while Passive, Intellectual, and Opportunist all tied for the next place at 19 muses. Cynic is just behind them at 18 muses, then Contrarian at 14 muses. We have just one Dissenter, and that is Primrose Ossler, written by Oz! Currently, the Tormentor count is at 0...phew!

As far as things within the server, ADZ grew so much that we needed to add 3 more permanent IC channels, with 3 corresponding OOC channels! We've had a total of 479 drabbles and threads submitted! There have been 149 IC deaths, much to Vera's dismay. The fastest death was N, written by Edel, whose robot body just couldn't handle being in the lake! While humor is subjective, the mods found that Heavy Weapons Guy, written by Fish, had the funniest death. He was mistaken for a prop during the talent contest and killed by Spy, which led to an IC reenactment of the ever iconic "Heavy is dead" video! The golden pan incident was also suggested. We were also very chatty, with around 330,000 IC messages being sent this year!

This year has led to a lot of progress with lore and events. While Yden and its Cache were technically revealed in very late 2023, people didn't start going to Yden until this year! We also ventured out to Oure, a Cache in need of desperate help, which has now put power back into the hands of its people. We've had one exploration quest this year, to the Cursed Ruins outside of Yden, which revealed some secrets of the past and the debut of the mysterious "lifeblood of the planet"! Spooky...we also had our second ever mini event, where some of the Advocates went to a banquet with the "president" of Oure to learn more about why someone sent out a message asking for help. We did have three festival events this year, First Dawn on Yden's beach, Festival of Fortune in Oure, and then the return of Seven Nights of Fright, which took place across the three locations! However, we did have quite a chonky two-parter of a lore event with Casino Morale! Everyone worked to spy and gather intel in the first part, while in the second, everyone worked together to fight off an evil woman turned tentacle monster and protect those who were affected by her rampaging. We also introduced member-run events as a means of keeping people busy and giving the mods time to make lore and festival events as great as they could possibly be. The first was EVO Outbreak, run by Birb! The second was Dreamers, run by Lizard! The third, which is ongoing, is Seeming (Un)Seelie, run by Kira, Xeno, and Chii! We're glad we decided to give you all a chance to let your creativity really shine, and we can't wait to see what you do in the future! We also had SYNC errors galore, with the most entertaining ones being either the "affected users are dumb and friendly" error, or the "affected users are now tiny" error. Of course, we aren't sitting idly by either, and we very much plan to introduce more fun events and harrowing events this year.

We've also had plenty of funny moments brought about from events and user shenanigans overall! Alfred, written by Vega, dug two holes this year. One was for the sand sculpture contest, but another was just for enrichment. Many people fell into that hole! The emu race was also a lot of fun, with emus proving just how dumb they are in the most spectacular way. Nobody was as forgiving and appreciative of her incredibly stupid emu, Adderall, as Lumera, written by Arcade, but Jiaoqiu, written by Ike, rode to victory in the second race atop an emu named after his most hated ingredient! Cephalon Ordis, written by Laur, was dragged behind his emu in his trash can drone. He hated it, but everyone else loved it!

Humor, written by Wren, attempted to start a fight with a kangaroo...how did that go, again? Genuinely cannot remember if he won or if he got his shit rocked. Vash the Stampede, written by Stan, didn't have a great time with the emu costume contest, as his participating emu decided to wake up and choose violence despite his nice costume. Hermes, written by Twin, was a true innovator in the same contest! He used his god powers to turn into an emu, but he got caught, and he and Elise Liedl, written by Soleil, were disqualified. Of course, nobody suffered quite like Cecil, written by Max, during the maze race. When 56 relic frogs get loose in the maze, you cannot dawdle! Poor Cecil had to face all of that goo in a truly harrowing scene that was, unfortunately, televised.

This year also brought about our biggest drop day ever (maybe aside from when we opened), as well as expansions to all of the residential areas within the Angara Cache! We also revamped the quest and mutation systems to make them even better. So much has been done that listing it all here would make this post needlessly long!

Our point in doing this is to look back on our progress, what we've learned, how we've grown, and how much fun we've all had. Even if you weren't shouted out directly, please know that we appreciate you being here and we value your membership and your place within our not-so-little-anymore group. We're thankful for all of the adventures we've had with you this year, and we hope to have many more with you in CY1025!

NAME OF MUSE(s) : Cyno is the overlord of the blog, with my Sephiroth sideblog as the strongest second. With that said, I have many other muses from other fandoms. Currently they are on a by-request basis, but I might throw them in the dash if the mood strikes!

BEST EXPERIENCE : This is tough because it cannot really be replicated on Tumblr, but group roleplay on FFXI and FFXIV is where my heart is at. I truly miss roleplaying the game story with a colorful cast of friends.

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS :

- Trivializing my character's challenges. I do not mind writing with powerful characters with all sorts of abilities, but if you go out of your way to make your character effortlessly rid mine of his problems or adversities he's currently facing (such as insta-healing him when he's down for the count), I won't be happy. Make sure your character's actions have a greater purpose than just showing off what he or she can do.

MUSE PREFERENCES: Canon filler. This is the words I use to describe plotting and writing events that can believably fill holes in a muse's canon timeline without contradicting the lore. I also love to write story divergences that may result from canon filler plots! Overall, I am a sucker for going back in time and tell the story of our characters from their childhood and upbringing.

PLOTS OR MEMES : Both~ Memes are great for icebreakers, and often get the juices flowing to plot bigger stuff!

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : Both! The length of my replies varies with the pace of the scenes. Combat and arguments are quick paced and will therefore create shorter replies. But if your muse does or says something that will kick mine into deep self-reflection, you can expect a multi-paragraphs post.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : I find that inspiration strikes me best late at night, just before bedtime. Not good for my 9-5 working schedule but what can I do? xD

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : Not much. Some muses have certain aspects in their story that resonate with me personally, but it's never a 100% relatable situation. Experience taught me that the best way to keep IC and OOC separate is to write muses as far removed from yourself as possible, and I try to stay true to that lesson.

Hi there, I'm Mod Springtrap lmao, and I just joined- anyways my pronouns are she/her, he/him, and they/them! (One of my kins uses She/Her/Void, so that kinda counts too)

I've joined the FNaF community since FNaF 3 was out and has always been a proud member of the community I think I have a pretty good grasp on the lore

This'll count as a technically unpopular opinion, but I actually find that most dash events are just kinda stressful. Mostly in a very personal. 'not for me' kind of way. It's not a moral judgement, I just personally have difficulty with it.

time constraints depend, but in a general sense, most vague stretches of time don't guarantee creativity from me; I'm chronically ill, am a bit overworked (whether it's my employer or simply myself chugging the workohol), and sometimes the mood just doesn't hit right.

Exact schedule depends too; I already kinda work 2nd shift, and so am awake for a 3rd shift/graveyard deal; you might miss when the mun/blog organizing the thing is on. So, even if you participate in general day long things, you can fomo for the high stakes/starring/determining events. But also, it is possible for an event to be very specific and catered around the host+friends' schedule/whims; sometimes it just doesn't work out for me.

complexity, tbh. depends on the event itself, but things often have to be some level of serious, fair, balanced, etc., and they might have their own idea of that, which needs to be respected. sometimes I'm not in the mood for that (wanna write easy, specific, or nonsensical things), or I don't feel like doing the actual 'work' especially with competitions; some days I couldn't give less a shit what I 'place' or what a judge likes. Some time periods I'm just too anarchic/chaotic/cooperative for that.

That being said, events are immensely fun and bonding if you can do them, so I suggest that you try them if you can! It can at the very least give you a feel for things, and how you want to interact with any one community!

As for dash commentary, I find it infectiously fun if you can get over the nerves about it; obviously that stuff is generally meant to be casual, but at the same time isn't required to stay that way... i think it helps to treat it like a toy, the way a toddler does it;

pick it up if you like it. (you don't have to justify why you like it.)

chew on it the way you want. (dash full of sex comments but your muse is ace? in a real life conversation, my buddy will just dunk us. make everything about bees if that's your hyperfixation. you don't have to stay scripted IC if you're being polite ooc.)

skim if you need to, drop it if you still can't. plenty of dash commentaries have me going 'what the fuck are you two talking about?' you can find out. if you can't, oh well. you can make a new post if you want.

be as specific or vague as you wish. don't be afraid to mention names/urls, or expand/tweak the topic. you don't have to argue w/ inspiration.

however, try not to metagame unless it's crack; there are people who don't wanna share certain lore casually, but it should be pretty clear when they do so (public/private knowledge memes, bio sections, etc.)

however i am bad with names/urls so bear with me when it comes to casual asks/etc. confusing 2 muses wouldn't be the end of the world, but lmfao-

❤️ - best thing about being part of this community Roleplaying is Fun, okay. I love writing with other people so MUCH! But I also really like lore and worldbuilding, and seeing all the different directions people take the Pokemon world is so fascinating for me!

🕰️ - how long have you been roleplaying before you made a pokemon irl blog? Oh gosh, since I was like 14 years old and an old friend introduced me to RPing on the forums of a virtual pet site called Anatheria. So that makes it 16 years ago! I made this Pokemon blog in... February 2014. according to the archive! So I was roleplaying for like 7 years before making this blog.

🫂 - which blogs introduced you to pokemon irl? [realpokemon doesnt count] For me, it was actually that post with the compilation about "Tweet like Pokemon are real", and then my friend (owner of wyrmwiind, I think is how they spelled it) made one, and I was like! "!!! Oh! I already have a Pokemon blog where I do that!" Among other things, but that was this blog of course. (Kat the Hex Maniac, if you're still out there, you were also an instrumental part of my Blogging Like Pokemon Are Real!)

👥 - why did you join pokeblr? See above. I already had a Pokemon RP blog, and it seemed like this style of RP was getting a lot more attention than traditional prose RP. I can't let go of my beloved prose, so it's dual-purpose, really, but, you know. I pivoted a bit for more interaction.

🌓 - lots of lore or slice of life? HELLA lore for me, please! Slice of life is fun in bite-sized pieces, but it bores me after awhile. I like Pokemon for the ADVENTURE!

✨ - what inspired your character? ...cough. They're a shameless self-insert, really. The reason I created them as a Pokemon character is basically that I wanted to write a story about what I thought my adventures in the Pokemon world would be.

⭐ - if playing a canon char - how are they different from canon?

🌟 - how much is your character like you? As much as I could fit into them! But they're also more well-adjusted because they didn't have to deal with, ahh, Extremely Negative and Traumatic Forces acting on their life nearly as long as I did. I daydreamed about running away from home since I was like 7 years old, and this character is my exploration of that. What would I be like if I was allowed to live a happier life in a healthier society with a greater sense of freedom and independence?

💫 - how has your character developed in a way you didnt expect? The breeding center wasn't originally part of the plan. It was going to be Endless Adventures, but as I got older I realized I wanted a Different Kind of "adventure". I had more fun writing about character dynamics and the study and care of Pokemon than battles and canon events.

🌠 - do you plan on revealing any NPCs from your characters backstory? If the situation calls for them, sure! Most likely not, though. Kind of a "leave the past in the past" thing.

🌀 - what are future plans for this blog? Meeting new muses, getting involved in interesting plots, and hopefully making friends. (More hoping for IC friends, though OOC friends are welcome too!)

💥 - favorite event so far? Unfortunately I haven't really gotten involved in any of the events, but Team Winter's seem to be the most easy to get involved with indirectly. I wouldn't want to get directly involved unless 1.) it makes sense for my muse to be the one who does it, and 2.) I talk OOC to get a feel for how the other mun wants to play it, but unfortunately I'm shy about that and modern RP blogs don't have the Rules and Explicit Preference Pages that used to abound in RP communities! And I'm never quite sure how to start those conversations...

🔴 - rotomblr, rotumblr, or a secret third choice I like Rotomblr.

🪨 - favorite pokemon? Mismagius, though Misdreavus is a VERY close second! That was yoinked straight out of my OOC head.

⛰️ - favorite type? Ghost, also a lifelong OOC truth!

🏞️ - favorite game? Pokemon Pearl! I loved everything about contests, the berries, the poffins, the ribbons were fun to collect, the Pokeball seals were an artistic DELIGHT for me! And although this didn't really translate into my OC's story very well, I also really loved the underground! I had hundreds of size 99 spheres buried for harvest any time I wanted, and I think that affected how many treasures I found in the walls, because I ALWAYS dug up something worth at least 500P or more. I also had a base that was a maze and booby trapped left and right, top to bottom, and I was the reigning champion in my area of Capturing Flags and Not Letting Anyone Else Capture Mine. ;}P (People literally had to ask nicely to be able to get my flag, I think mine was only stolen ONCE in the entire span of time we played that game.)

🌍 - favorite region? Sinnoh, largely because of the multitude of different environments and characters like Cynthia and Fantina, of course it has Mismagius, and the history that LA implied to be Sinnoh's further cemented it!

🧠 - headcanon for the pokeworld you have? I'll use a specific one I've seen lots of people have lots of different takes on: Most Pokemon can understand human speech and communicate with roughly the same amount of specificity. (Much more like the anime than the game, though the "voices" I imagine them speaking in are far more animalistic and colored by their cries in-game. Specifically, I imagine Misdreavus and Mismagius to sound a lot more like the Japanese anime voices with the cadence/pitch of their game cries!)

On the other side waits a man, as tall and beautiful as a marble statue, pale blue skin wrapped in a fine white robe and golden finery, matching the elegantly curved ivory walls and gilded pillars that reach up to the vaulted ceiling of the grand hall in which they meet. “Executor Ballas,” he says, taking a knee before that imperious gaze, “It is an honor to finally meet you in person.”

“Branch Chief Faba." The gilded lord's voice is as smooth as honey, as perfect as his sculpted features. "It is my pleasure to deliver my thanks directly- The research you have sent on these… ‘Pokemon’ creatures, is already proving quite useful- Especially your RKS System prototypes. The ability your creatures have to harness and direct elemental energy has given us great insight into weaponizing the power of the Void- What you know as Ultra Space."

"Yes, yes- Er, you mentioned, a reward, for my.... Collaboration?"

"Of course," Ballas smiles, his serenity hiding any offense taken from Faba's impatience, "Your RKS system changes the elemental alignment of your creatures for the sake of offense- In return, I give you its counterpart in Dualism- Defensive adaptation." Ballas unfolds his arm from behind his back, revealing it to be freakishly longer than the other- But much more interesting is the device it contains- An alien-looking computer card, red and white with blue glow, that floats from his slender blue hand to hover in front of the scientist "This technology, we developed for our Sentient terraformers, who will brave the unknown dangers of space to create a new home for us on another world- One to which you may be invited, if you continue to impress us."

"Of- Of course, my lord Executor Ballas," Faba sputters, his head already spinning with possibilities, "We will-- Install it, yes, in one of our Type:Full prototypes, and bring it here to demonstrate its full potential. I already know just the one, it is under the direct management of one of our finest minds. He, heh, he loves it like a daughter, so, we may be assured he will guarantee a, successful integration."

So as I am preparing for my next story, a realization hit me.

Shortly after selling their souls and returning to Europe to 'tie up loose ends', so to speak, they are required by the Master to return to Sugbu (Cebu, where Mactan is, and part of the Visayas) and serve him for however long he intended to have them. This was back in 1522-23. The Battle of Mactan took place in 1521 and Spanish colonization proper did not begin until 1565.  The Master did not face his first major defeat until around 1575.

That means Josep, Giovanni, Phoebus, and Guy were serving the Master around the Philippine Seas for about 50 years. This also means no access to European clothing and customs for about 50 years.

The more I prepare for this story, the more gaps in my knowledge of history of the South China Seas are being realized, but THAT'S OKAY--this is at least an area of knowledge I know how to fill in the gaps without coming off as intrusive as an outsider (as opposed to, say, researching for writing for Islamic practices or the Atlantic Slave Trade). But I just want to say that, part of the reason why I still haven't come back in replying to threads? I'm being excited for writing a part of "Devil's Eye" lore I haven't been excited over in a very long time.

I foresee people having issues with me or the story like it's 2012 Tumblr all over again, so I'm going to nip this on the bud with these disclaimers:

The Master's European thralls are NOT "appropriating" the native culture. They were forced into it because that is the location they were stationed in by the being they sold their souls to. They literally have no choice but to live in what is known today as the Philippine Islands. They are dressing and eating like the locals do because they're LIVING there, not stealing culture or to look cool. They are unable to go home to Europe at all.

They are NOT "white saviors" either. They are not "saving" anyone, they are not missionaries, and they are not on some glorified vacation. While the narrative does center around them more than the locals, it only centers around them because this is THEIR backstory. There are main Filipino characters, they just happen to appear in different parts of the greater "Devil's Eye" story than this one. Also, I count Ulan as a main character.

They are also NOT "mighty whiteys". The fact they became alipins ("slaves") is not intended to be (overt) subversion of the Mighty Whitey trope either. They are people, and the natives they live among are also people. You are doing disservice to the people with a history of slavery both home and abroad by denial an actual factual truth. And no, of course I don't endorse slavery.

Finally, this is a historical-fiction. While my characters can be fair for their time (with all the miscegenation, interfaith and interracial tolerance, and being supportive of gay people), they are still products of their time and may act in ways not considered cool today (such as believing women shouldn't be sent out to fight, prioritizing marrying women over marrying other men, etc). Once again, to write them to have modern views and morals does a great disservice to the marginalized during their time, as it discredits their real life struggles and what they went through to achieve what people of today now have.

Best ways to approach you for rp/plotting: the best way is just to straight up approach me. most often than not, just liking a post is not enough because it’s too vague ?? like if i post an idea & you like that, i’ll still be hesitant when it comes to roleplaying or approaching you because, while i appreciate such gestures, i’m just too anxious. therefore, plopping into my IMs without a properly fleshed out idea is also fine ! it, at least, gives me the hint that you’re actively seeking interaction. however, just saying “i want to roleplay & plot !” won’t cut it; at least, have something in mind, please !

What expectations do you hold towards your plotting partner:  basic ideas & pouring their heart into plotting! i don’t mind waiting, at all, so if you’re busy, don’t worry about keeping me waiting; i completely understand since i’m also often busy with work or university. but !! please don’t only come to me with the statement: “i want to plot!” it’s not gonna cut it & it’s not gonna help with a proper interaction, at all. if i approach someone, most often than not, i have SOME sort of idea in mind. but yeah, being passionate is the most important thing!

When you notice the plotting is rather one-sided, what do you do?:  most often than not, the conversation will die down because i will loose motivation; i don’t like it because i’ll feel like a bother & i shouldn’t feel that way when it comes to a hobby! therefore, one-sided plotting is one of my deal breakers; i usually end the conversation & there will be little to no interaction happening. like i said; i don’t mind waiting, i just hate that feeling of coming on TOO strong when my plotting partner delivers no input. 

How do you usually plot with others, do you give input or leave most work towards your partner?:  often than not, i start off with rather simple question like; are you interested in a certain verse ? do you already have something in mind ? if not, i will go through their about page & ask them things about their character & how that could possibly bring our characters to interact. sometimes, the about pages of a muse cannot give you every single bit of information; muses grow & change with each thread, therefore, it’s often better to just ask the people about their characters ! & from then on, it often just comes naturally. 

When a partner drops the thread, do you wish to know?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS. - And why?: if the thread is not THAT important or vital for our character’s relationship; i don’t mind & won’t need to know if the thread is dropped. sometimes, if it’s a heavily plotted thread & i’ve anticipated the interaction a lot; i’d appreciate a quick heads-up from my partner that they’re not feeling that certain thread any longer; i don’t mind that !! - What should your partner do when dropping a thread?: they don’t need to tell me; SOMETIMES, it’s just a nice gesture but most of the time, i don’t care, we can always start another thread !!

What could possibly lead you to drop a thread?:  many things can lead to me dropping a thread; just losing motivation, having no muse for a certain genre or simply having the feeling that my partner is not liking it, any longer (ex. extreme lack of trying to match the reply length ). my health & my schedule can also, sadly, affect my motivation, so, more often than not, i tend to drop shorter threads & keep longer ones.  - Will you tell your partner?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS.

Is communication in the rpc important to you?   YES / NO. - And why?:  i get anxious really fast if people stop replying for a very long time, out of the blue. it has happened to me once before with a good friend with whom i have no contact with any longer due to miscommunication & them not trying to communicate the issue with me; therefore, yes, it is very important. i wanna know if something is bothering you; i wanna know if you like something very much; i wanna know what’s up ! we’re humans & we’re adults; we can talk about this.  - Are you okay with absolute honesty, even if it may means hearing something negative about you and/or portrayal?:  yes ! as long as it is constructive criticism & not straight-up bashing my characters or lore; i’m all for it. i don’t mind hearing negative things; in fact, i appreciate the honesty & it gives me room to work on myself & my writing ! - Do you think you can handle such situation in a mature way?  YES / NO.

Why do you rp again, is there a goal?:  building relationships that LAST & exploring my muses through & through; it is amazing how much yuna has grown through interactions with others; how different she has become from the yuna i once started out with; it’s almost been a year now & it’s just amazing. however, i’m not stopping anytime soon; THERE IS SO MUCH MORE I WANT TO EXPLORE !! the ultimate goal is for me to just look at my blog & be completely proud of what i have accomplished & written; i want fleshed out relationships & threads; deep stuff !!

Wishlist, be it plots or scenarios:  yuna talking with someone about her struggles; mentally & physically. being open about her abusive father & how it has traumatized her & painted men in the worst picture one could imagine. HOWEVER; a hard thing because i don’t want these things to be pre-est or something; i want a thread where there is struggling, screams, conflict ! it is rather hard to find someone, though, who is willing & fitting to go onto that long journey with me & yuna. also, i’d love to write about darker stuff; i love fluff, though, sometimes i sure want a bit of that, too.

What type of characters catch your interest the most?: i love characters with uniqueness to them; it can be a certain interest, certain appearance or their species can be totally unique to them; i’ll love it ! i do have a thing for villains, though; always had, even when i was young 8^) so, dark, stubborn & “evil” characters catch my interest far more than a really nice muse who just is all smiles all day. i love a muse that can kick mine & yuna’s ass, basically. someone with strong morals or who is just really set on their beliefs can also offer conflict which i ADORE !! i need it; i live for it !!

What are your strong aspects as rp partner?:  i am a very open person who will talk with you about anything & is keen on exploring our character’s relationship at all times & through all means; i often send my rp partners prompts in form of my yuna just being her dumb-self or through memes ! i will constantly think about our characters & will try to have them interact as much as possible. i am, most of the time, very active & respond to the threads fairly quickly ! if i am totally invested; you’ll get everything you want; a moodboard, an edit, a drawing, etc. i literally pour my heart & soul into every bond my muse has; i live for them. oh !! i also love asking people question about their characters; i just love learning new things about them !!

- What could possibly make your Muse interesting towards others, why should they rp with this particular character of yours now, what possible plots do they offer?:  i think yuna is a person with whom it is easy to form relationships with; it takes a bit of time but due to her rather drastic ideals & opinions; anything can be founded within seconds. she doesn’t hold back when it comes to her honesty & conflicts will arise. also, for all muses with demonic or deity backgrounds; being a daughter of the literal queen of hell, though, also harboring fragments of a god’s soul makes her unique in the supernatural world which can spark interest with your character or even they can develop an ill-will towards her ? i think it’s really interesting exploring what makes one work & go on & yuna has the philosophical potential to tickle that out of your muse; she question EVERYTHING. now for certain plots; one-sided love or even friendships are always really interesting, especially when she is the one having such feelings. other than that; she has enormous & dangerous powers; so if you’re into character or world-building; can offer that as well !

- With what type of Muses do you usually struggle to rp with?:  humans; she doesn’t approach humans who are just kind & have nothing to offer for her, the least she’d do is have sex with them or kill them to harvest their life energy. i’m sorry but she really does hate all of humanity & to change that opinion ? man, you must be the most stubborn person ever.  - With what type of Muses do they usually work well with?:  characters who are of supernatural or demonic nature; she’ll be very interested & even nosy to a point. also, very attractive characters who are not afraid to speak their mind; she’s really superficial most of the time & will flirt with anything that she deems good-looking. muses who have ideals that contrast hers or that are similar to her but also, generally, people who are open-minded. 

- What interests your Muse(s) in general:  sex, parties, plants & flowers, astronomy, writing, demons & hell, the underground scene, killing, knives & playing the piano - What do they desire, is their goal?:  the questions that bother her the most are; why did her mother had to die ? why would nobody help her while she was being abused by her father ? why was she kept alive by her sisters ? is there love out there for someone like her ? what do these strange visions mean that occur almost every night ? she has a lot of things she wants to experience & wishes to have a normal life once she has killed her other mother, lilith, which is her ultimate goal, at the moment.  - What catches their interest first when meeting someone new?:  their appearance; the scent of their blood & if it differs from humans; how they react towards her & what they do in front of her.  - What do they value in a person?:    strong opinions, loyalty, good looks, humor, strength (not limited to physical strength) - What themes do they like talking about?:  herself or the world & the state of it; she likes being philosophical with some, can often be somewhat self-centered; THOUGH; it is almost always for her to see how they would react to that.

What expectations do you hold towards your plotting partner:  Ideas and somewhat more enthusiasm than me. I tend to shy away or feel very much awkward right off the bat if the person approaches me with not much to say or give. And honestly, some people really intimidate me because I am too hard on myself, so giving a bit of a pat on the back makes me relax more. I deal with a lot of anxiety and I know people run away the second I show it.

I know some who have dealt with me at first I seem like a dettached person but not having ideas really makes me feel like I have not much right to talk. I want to give yet without impossing or letting it twist my arm. I know for a fact nora’s lore really doesn’t help shit for most things. 

When a partner drops the thread, do you wish to know?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS. - And why?: if the thread was meaningful and we were really into it , then I would ask but as for the most, I don’t really bother with it. Sometimes people just lose muse, and even if I was enjoying it, I don’t have the right  to force someone or ask why they stopped. thread dropping is normal, i guess.  - What should your partner do when dropping a thread?:  whatever they want. telling me or not is up to them, I don’t really mind. RP is not something SUPER serious like it should be just perfect. I try to convice myself of this a lot.

What could possibly lead you to drop a thread?:  either because it was old as fuck, I couldn’t find muse or because it was lost in the void of tumblr’s amazing tracking system. - Will you tell your partner?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS.

Why do you rp again, is there a goal?:  connect with others, ramble a lot about characters, have fun. I’ve been rping since i was 12 ( back then it was not big deal your age apparently ) and having to connect with other people by making these plots and stories and just having a fun time is something that brings me joy. There’s so much that can be done. And exploring my muses with other muses influences is really helpful to fill the holes left due indecisiveness.

Wishlist, be it plots or scenarios:  I wish people joined my lore more. Having muses that could be in the same story department as Nora in particular, would be hella and inspire me more. There is so much I have. Explore nora’s power is also something I want but it’s hard -- it’s very invasive and not many would really like it, feeling it’s meta. For now, I don’t really have other muses and Spike has her little crew outside tumblr.

Themes I won’t ever rp / explore:  umm, it’s hard to think in something in particular. But mostly stuff that collides with nora’s story/character. but there is a lot I am willing to explore.

It’s easier to figure out how  to go or stop and think. plotted ones also work. as for what I dislike or cannot work with, things that force my muse to not act how they would? not giving me something solid is hard to handle. 

What type of characters catch your interest the most?:  I really like out of the norm muses, something that you see and say /oh , look at that/. Aesthetically, story wise or personality wise, something that goes out the usual troup most would use. I do have a guilty pleasure for opposite to my muse characters --- something that would really show the contrast with one another.

What type of characters catch your interest the least?:  Very basic ones? or those who try TOO hard to be special. A character that doesn’t fit in the context they are in, esp. in fandoms. HEAVILY divergent characters that just basically turn them into OCs. I know I sound like a bitch but I am the type who respect canon and the actual author behind the character too much. Also those that I don’t know much about? as in, the fandom never managed to catch my interest or smth in that line.

What are your strong aspects as rp partner?:  I know where is the line between fiction and reality. And that what your character does it does not reflect as the person you actually are. I am pretty laid back and I understand people’s views and reasoning. idk. I draw a lot if I am super invested ?

What are your weak aspects as rp partner?: I am super sporadic and can go from being super active to flat out dead for weeks. my mood swings a lot with the amount of attention I get, as horrible as it sounds. I am very anxious as a person for reasons ( not IRL mostly, just bad experience from previous partners ). I promise a lot but do little? honestly I will just bad mouth myself if I keep writing this.

- What could possibly make your Muse interesting towards others, why should they rp with this particular character of yours now, what possible plots do they offer?:  Anyone who is denying their feelings, are peculiar as an individual or anyone who needs an insight of themselves and the world around them. Nora is a mentor type of character, she is here to be a support and help others explore themselves and learn. Also if you are a minor, she will most likely try to get close to help -- one must protect the good sad kids.

- With what type of Muses do you usually struggle to rp with?:  Stubborn, very fixated with things. Who would not open themselves to other perspective without thinking someone is trying to change them. Also she would struggle a heck lot with psychopaths and sociopaths, or anyone that “doesn’t have a face” for her. - With what type of Muses do they usually work well with?:  Curious people, struggling ones, kids in general -- people that are willing to listen to her opinions and try to improve in a positive way. Also those who are quirky in a way. 

- What interests your Muse(s) in general:  rabbits, literature, interesting people, the unknown, learning, relationships of all natures.  - What do they desire, is their goal?:  Live long without letting her particularity ruin her -- for her kind nobody makes it past the 50s and she wants that , to conquer her ability and prove that even with something like she is ( they are ), it’s posible to live and be happy. have a family of her own, yeah she is that cheesy. - What catches their interest first when meeting someone new?:  Their actions and the emotions that they are carrying on their back.  - What do they value in a person?:    sincerity, willingness, enthusiasm. - What themes do they like talking about?:  a lot of phylosophic stuff, deep topics -- as well to casual things of life. about people and society. - Which themes bore them?:  excuses and avoidance -- people who are willing to drop everything and give up.

- Did they ever went through something traumatic?:  the attempt of suicide of her mother. and the successfull suicide of many of her peers. - What could possibly trigger them?:  any sort of threat or violence towards someone who does not asked for it. esp. her peers and family. - What could set them off, enrage them?:  Immoral ones. Those who are willing to stomp on others just to success in their goal. - What could lead to an instant kill?:  is not killing, but touch a hair of her family and you are done. same for her friends and protegees.

- Is there someone /-thing they hate?:  gorgers, suicide, her tired face. - Is there someone /-thing they love?:   her family and dear ones --- to a fault. rabbits or anything related to it.

Is your Muse easy to approach?: YES / NO. - Best ways to approach them?:  any way is okay as long as is not threatening. - Where are they usually to find?:  during the night, in the streets -- during the day is either her workplace or her house. maybe a park near her apartment/location if she is feeling stuffy.

Something you may still want to point out about your muse?:  she is not a good person , she is willing to manipulate people and is constantly trying to impose her morals. but she is also very sensitive even if she doesn’t show it --- Nora does look tired for a reason , and one of them is because she cries a lot .

If you could offer someone new to roleplay one piece of advice; what would it be and why?

This is a great one and admittedly so hard to narrow down to one thing. My advice may seem basic, but I think new role-players, especially anxiety monsters like me can really take it to heart. Also as I typed this reply got *much* longer than anticipated so..if I drone on, I hope you all will forgive me! I am really hoping some new roleplayer somewhere (or a more experienced one who is having trouble) will see this and find value. If not well…chalk it up to Vy babbling. But I tried to make it entertaining, covered a few important topics (I think!) and the main focus in case you just want an easy answer is found in the following sentence:

Always remember, people want to RP with you.

Time and again, I have heard people lament (and I have at times been guilty of saying these same things!) “I am not good enough.”, “My writing is not good enough.”, “I do not know the lore well enough.”, “People do not seem interested in me/my character/my ideas.”Well? Forget all that! Let me let you in on a little secret new roleplayer: Most other RPers are just like you. They are into nerdy things or else they would not be here, they enjoy mutual storytelling and interactions in RP, they are probably just as shy as you (That is an important one. Think of all the rpers you know..how many start off by claiming they are shy? *raises hand* Guilty!), they also have insecurities, but most of all they are standing there with their IC tag on because they *want to RP with you.* So what does that mean? Go on ahead and make that approach! I know what you are thinking, “But Vy, I am a shy bean and no one knows me and I stand in the Quicksand and I don’t know what to do or how to approach and ahhhhhhh!” Well friend, I was there too. Let me tell you a secret, lots of days I *still* am. What i recommend heartily is an icebreaker. Just like meeting someone in real life. Now you can do this IC by just walking up and emoting but lots of folks are afk a lot or alt tabbed on tumblr (guilty party here) so I am going to recommend starting with a tell. So what is a good icebreaker? Well, think about what attracts you to a character and makes you want to RP with them in the first place! Here are some examples:

A) You think they did a great job with their character design or glam. It really seems to fit the theme they are going for. Their search info says “Shroud Witch” and wow did they nail that look!“Hey I really love the aesthetic of your character! You really nailed that look. Do you have an online profile for your character? I would like to know more.”See what I did there? A true and tasteful compliment with a follow-up to hopefully learn more. If they have a profile odds are it is already in their search info (more on that later!) but it may not be. Either way this opens the door for the player to tell you about their character, and who among us does not like doing that? It lets you open the door to seeing if it could be a good fit, what kinds of RP they are into (feel free to ask during the convo, most people are happy to tell you) and just get the dialogue started. From there you can probably work on an introduction.

B) You saw their amazing carrd/refsheet/tumblr/third party web page in their search info, looked it up, found their character and say “Yes! My character would love to meet a paid contract assassin with no morals” Or..um..something like that. Tastes vary and I don’t judge. Send them a tell!“I just read your carrd (or whatever) and it looks amazing. I really like your character and writing. Would you be up for some RP?” Again, a genuine compliment and trying to make the connection. They might ask you about your character. Tell them!

C) They are pretty pixels. *Sigh* let’s face it, it is going to happen. I would recommend, truly, if the only draw you have to someone’s character and a desire to RP with them is based on how pretty they are on screen..you choose someone else. Now I am not saying “No search info, no RP!” If someone is alone and you’re like “Hey lemme see what this Seeker is all about…” go for it. But if it is solely looks based and you contact the person because of them “looking hot” it reeks of ERP. I have gotten many many many of these tells. Way too many to count. 98% of the time that is where they head and my shields go up immediately

Now I am not insinuating you are looking for ERP and frankly the person you contact may not think so either. Additionally, realize rather bluntly, I don’t care. You should seek your enjoyment as you wish and there are lots of others in the sandbox who want the same thing. I am saying however based on experience I and others I have talked to have had…well you understand. Now if that *IS* what you are looking for, godspeed and good luck. I am not judging you. I will not however cover that here as a) I do not think it fits with the overall tone I am going for here and b) I don’t do random walk up ERP so I am in no way qualified to discuss it.

A few points to ponder!

1) Be honest and genuine! It comes across. Do this with your compliments, your language and your discussion.

2) Do NOT be afraid to tell them you are new! Most of us are very happy to help new people learn the ropes and we tend to be pretty tolerant of mistakes. We make them too! Also if you are shy they may be willing to do the walk up for you and make the approach to kick things off. (Score!)

3) DO NOT BE CREEPY. If your tell starts with “sexy kitten owo :))” odds are pretty good I am not going to be super receptive or get a good vibe from you to want to RP. (See “shields up” above)

4) Be respectful. This one goes without saying, or rather it should.

5) Remember RP is a dialogue. Go back and forth!

6) Do not be afraid to discuss things in tell in an ooc manner. If you are uncomfortable with something or are not sure how to proceed, let them know or ask.

7) (I wish I did not have to say this one but…) If someone goes outside your boundaries remember YOU are in control of YOUR character and YOURSELF. No one can force you to RP, force you to ERP or make you commit to a scene you are uncomfortable with. You are free to walk away at any time no matter who the person is if they go beyond your boundaries.This one is so very important. Most RPers are just a friendly lot looking for good times and friends. Some…are not. Do not let ANYONE take advantage of you. It is of course best to talk and not escalate immediately but at the end of the day your comfort and safety are far more important than the integrity of the RP!

8) Sometimes it is not all rainbows and sunshine. You will encounter crappy people sometimes. You will encounter people who for some reason or another are very elitist or don’t like your character or you. IT HAPPENS. No one owes anyone else RP or attention (likewise you don’t owe anyone either!). Let’s say that again. No one owes anyone else RP or attention (likewise you don’t owe anyone either!). Try not to let these incidents discourage you! For every one of them there are a dozen people standing around awkwardly waiting for someone else to make the first move! if you can be that person, you have already won the game.

9) Always say thank you for the RP! I mean forgetting is fine sometimes, we all forget, but if you had a great time? Let them know!I am certain there are 100 more helpful tips butttttt I think I babbled enough for now! I truly hope some of this was helpful. Thank you for indulging me, and happy RPing!

What I’m looking for!

- any size group that is active during Eastern US time (UK also possible since I play during the day too).

- proactive rpers. organize events with some regularity, willing to run small group or 1 on 1 scenes.

- complex storytelling preferred but simple is fine too. i love my layers :>

- dark/mature rp. the grittier the better. i love suspense, tension, and horror. violence is a-okay. gotta blow off steam somehow!

- chaotic questionable themes are good! 

- not keen on any sort of point/reputation system in a group where i am required to show up for X events

- no metagaming, godmoding. internal monologue does not count as a response in rp. no would-ers. i do not use msq in my rp, prefer similar avoidance in others (as in, my characters do not know famous npcs, etc.) no trolls or asshats.

- plausible within lore is a-okay! lore bending fine! (i pull from real world mythology myself in some scenes). logic/solid story required. please no “from another (non xiv related) world” level of stuff.

- i’m 44, would prefer a group with a decent spread of ages

- probably Brinn Rosa, my current gameplay main, but I can offer a variety of characters, just ask! (I am currently running a scene with Brinn where he is injured and will be on crutches a while, but things are open besides that.)

- very much a casual. willing to run any non savage/ex content (will run them with a heck of a lot of convincing. willing to take criticism and learn to improve, but will need tons of patience.)

As much as Ren enjoys a good (or even a halfassed) romp, honestly? If it’s just ERP for the sake of smut, it is really, really boring for me. ; v ;  I gotta be in the mood to write it, and usually if there’s communication OOC before hand about what expectations are, fade-to-blacks are totally okay and sometimes preferred for sake of (usually) time.

I jokingly call them ‘fade-to-sandwich’es because morning-after food is legit. If you wanna just sleep with Ren, or wish to have previously slept with Ren prior to us RPing cause the tom elf gets around, just let me know!  I’m always down to headcanon things.

Things I like to know about my RP Partners AKA “Yet Another About Me Post”

Like to be called: Cuinn (or any IGN)! I’ve used Tor for a long time too but I don’t think anyone’s actually ever called me that. Gender: Amoeba (any pronoun is okay) One thing you should know about me: I’m scared. One thing you should know about my character(s): Cuinn can be extremely vague and untalkative and it’s not a reflection of my thoughts or me trying to be difficult! If there’s some confusion, feel free to let it be IC or to ask for a little clarification OoC if you need some guidance to keep things going in a direction you prefer (I try to offer it before you need to ask but him being confusing or utterly infuriating is actually part of his character). Honestly it makes my day hearing the initial reaction to some nonsense he just said or did. Is it the language barrier? Is he just vague AF? Does he know that he’s vague AF? First language: English Second language: Rudimentary fragments of other languages... but if I must, French and various dialects of Chinese. I’ve really fallen out with these over the years, though.

LFRP - Celestin Bellerose on Mateus

NAME:  Célestin Auguste Evaux Bellerose NICKNAME: Cel, Titi (he hates it), The Wilted Rose of Ishgard AGE:  46 summers old RACE:  Elezen, Duskwight GENDER:  M SEXUALITY:  Homosexual, asexual, aromatic. MARITAL STATUS:  Married SERVER:  Mateus TL;DR: The last of his bloodline, Celestin comes from a minor Ishgardian noble house. Detests politics, self-exiled from the Holy See. Loves knowledge. Hates people. Secretive and very dislikable. He is an airship engineer, serving on the Sky Fury, a pirate vessel. He is currently looking into a way to make a perpetual energy machine. Asocial, misanthropic, he is more a villain than a hero.

NAMEDAY: 15th Sun of the 6th Umbral Moon HEIGHT: 6’3’’ (193 cm) WEIGHT:  190 ponzes (Sickly frame) TATTOOS/SCARS: The scars he has around his testicles when he self-castrated himself, at the age of 19. He also has a long blemish around his stomach. It looks like a self-inflicted scalpel wound. DISTINGUISHING MARKS: He is a repulsive man. His traits seem they have melted on his face, they are sad and baggy. His skin is pallid: he has the complexion of a one-week-old cadaver that has been rotting in the Lominsa sun.  His hair is already starting to thin and that, in uneven patches. They are always greasy, limp, breaking, dull. His limbs are too long and too thin, his fingers are elongated and skeletal, his nails are yellowing. Really. A goobbue arse is more pleasant to look at than his face. COMMON ACCESSORIES: He's short-sighted so he never wanders far away without his glasses. He’s blind as a bat.

LANGUAGES:  Eorzean common, Voidspeech (cannot speak but comprehend), old roegadyn, Mhachi, Allagan, some fundamental of Doman.   RESIDENCE: Mist BIRTHPLACE: Ishgard, Coerthas PATRON DEITY:  Atheist. Still, his Ishgardian upbringing could make Halone her patron deity. FEARS:  Failure, growing old especially getting senile, going blind, dying, getting irrational, falling in love. PERSONALITY: Celestin’s personality is as pleasant as rubbing sandpaper on one’s genitals. While he is polite, his tone is cold, bored and apathetic. He doesn’t care for Spokenkind interaction neither he seeks it. Every conversation serves a purpose. If he doesn’t, it is a chore and wishes to be done with it as soon as possible. OTHER: He has a permanent injury in his left leg that make him limp. He has to walk with a cane and he cannot run.

SPOUSE:  Guolbryda/Guol Bryda, the captain of the pirate airship he’s serving on. While it is a sexless and loveless marriage, they did marry each other out of necessity, none of them plan to get a divorce. They are content with this union, has to present advantages. It is easier to pass the customs as a married couple. There is also the Eternal Ring, imbued with that Teleportation magic, that saved each other more than once.   CHILDREN:  None PARENTS:  Evaux Bellerose (deceased), his father. He died some years ago and with him, the noble name of Bellerose, as both of his sons are unavailable to take the mantle after he returned to the Life Stream. Celestin, in his diligence and seriousness, was his favorite child. Oh, how the Gods tormented him by making him his second born. Mariette Bellerose (71), née Sainte-Claire, his mother. The youngest of her sisters, she was from a minor noble family, with a status slightly better than her husband’s. After much cajoleries, she was married to Evaux Jr.; that was Evaux Senior last attempt to tried to salvage the Bellerose’s name. After the death of Aurèle, she sank into melancholy and depression.

SIBLINGS: Aurèle Bellerose (deceased), his older brother. Flamboyant, handsome and bold, he was everything Celestin never could be. Their fraternal love had a lot of friction, due to their parent’s pressure to “be what is asked you to be”. A harsh rivalry only kept growing with the years, fed with their conflicting personality.

Unable to bear with the politics of Ishgard and what his parents requested of him, Aurele committed suicide when Celestin was 18 summers old. He hanged himself to a spear of a Halonic statue, situated near the family’s favorite church -even in death, he kept his flair for the dramatic. The morning of that Iceday, while the community gathered to pray and praised Halone, the already cold body of Aurele was there to welcome them, slowly turning on its rope. All of his patriotic burden, the one that he needed to bring the family to great heights again, fell on his younger brother. Soon, Celestin understood what it meant to be Aurele and why he killed himself. The death of his sibling had a profound effect on him, realizing how fragile existence was. He keeps a portrait of his brother in his office, bringing the picture face down every time someone enters. GRANDPARENTS : (Father’s side) Evaux Bellerose Sr., Andrette Bellerose née Druirard. (Mother’s side) Auguste Sainte-Claire, Eldanne Sainte-Claire née Dupieu. OTHER RELATIVES:  Ashinne Berger née Ruinier, was Bellerose (43) his ex-wife. While Celestin was still in Ishgard, after the death of Aurele, one of the first things Evaux did was to find a woman to perpetuate the Bellerose’s name. The quite young Ashinne Ruinier (she was only 15 at that time), didn’t want to marry this ugly man, yet was forced to by her own family. She never bore him a child, as Celestin never slept in her bed once. After his disappearance and consequent declaration of his death by the Holy See, she remarried.

Fabienne Bellerose (29) His niece, only child of Aurele. She was only one summer old when her father died and she doesn’t remember him at all. She heard rumors her uncle could still be alive and that piqued her interest. Her only connection with the Bellerose part of herself was her mad grandmother and her brooding grandfather. At her age, she still hasn’t found a man. Nowadays, however, no one wants her. Not only she is “too old” by Ishgardian standard but she is also too weird.

PETS: B'zatr, an Ahriman. It’s more like of a minion than a pet: B'zatr takes care of all the heavy lifting, grunt work and whatever Celestin doesn’t want to do. It is also a garbage disposal, making everything compromising disappear in a jiffy. It serves him, as a slave to its master, no love or true loyalty behind its actions. One day, however, one day that Ahriman will be the master. It's only buying its time.

“The dollmaster” Celestin does a lot of experimentation on corpses, Ashkin, Beastmen and Voidsents alike. Your OC could be the result of such scientific endeavor. The exact point of they are, is up in the air: Homonculus, golem, reanimated body, Voidsent chimera… however, now Frankenstein has a monster to call him his own. How is their relationship? Will the creature rebelled against its master?

“The teacher:” He could either be an engineering teacher, an alchemist teacher or a black mage teacher… if your character is nosy enough to find he owns a soul stone.  

“A fellow scientist”: Your character could be one of Celestin’s correspondent; he writes a lot of letters to different arcanists, biologists, surgeons,... he is interested in all types of science.

“The Void and forbidden knowledge.” Being a lore-seeker above all else, any ancient magic or musty old books will light that oh-very-rare glow of interest in his eyes.

“Oh, this is quite fascinating”: If your character has anything to do with the Void or Allagan, Celestin will want to know more about him/her.. and probably will want to perform a vivisection.

“I heard about an airship? What’s the name? The… Sky Fury?” While he is not the captain, he is still an officer aboard the airship. Trusted by Guol, he can carry on interviews and recruit new members.

What I am not looking for ✘Godmode, metagaming I don’t have the interest to have the freedom of my character rob from me, neither I want to deal with OOC knowledge seeping ICly. ✘ Shipping & ERP Celestin is aromatic and asexual, I would appreciate if you could respect that about the character. ✘ No permanent maiming/death we didn’t first spoke and agree about it. I’m not completely closed to the option but let’s talk first. ✘OOC drama & toxicity Naturally. ✘ Grimdark for the sake of being grimdark Being dark must mean something, it must bring something on the table. I don’t want to murder thousands of children and wear their corpse as clothing, only to congratulate myself because “ Wow I’m so edgy and deep.” ✘ Fluff and slice-of-life This character is profoundly misadapted for that kind of plotlines.

Ask me about ✣ Kidnapping & long-terms imprisonments It’s a maybe. Celestin is far from being a defenseless being and taking him down, if cornered, will be a difficult task. ✣Long-term RP I don’t have much time for it, I prefer one-shot, short-termed or medium-termed. For me to want a long-term, I need a really good story and a good friend. Throw ideas at me!

☛If you are uncomfortable with body horror, gore and inhuman experimentations, Celestin is not a good match for you. ☛ The character is pretty inflexible, it’s his way or nothing. If it’s something you cannot deal with, I do have friendlier characters. (Ezrien and Ephraim are both good examples.) ☛ He is ICly a black mage, if you don’t like that, I do have more lore-abiding characters. (Narcisse, Medekhgui, Frydhaerz, Rhetizwyn.)
