A. Haha, okay I received a ton of asks about this but I'm only going to post the one because you all get the gist of what the questions were like. Technically the Hulu account moderators, much like the 911 moderators, are employees of Disney, but usually moderators are given pretty free reign to post, comment, and 'like' as they please. As long as they're not being problematic or inappropriate. So I would caution that the comment doesn't necessarily mean anything. I will however say that the fact they felt comfortable enough to publicly comment on a video that is in direct contrast to the current canon probably doesn't bode well for said current canon. Because at minimum it's confirmation that there are no regulations in place for them to push the current canon. Which is probably not a good sign as far as anything long term goes. They would need to push it fairly hard to try and move the needle from an audience perspective so they would absolutely discourage Buddie encouragement. And that's clearly not a directive anyone has been given, so far anyway. We will probably get a clearer picture in the coming week or so. Embargos have to be close to being lifted, if they haven't already, which means we'll start to see more and more engagement from the media that covers the show.

I want to take a moment in this post to address several asks I received raging about how Buddie fans were the reason the show didn't release a full trailer. You all continue to prove you haven't been here longer than 80 something days. This is how the show always does things. They always start with a teaser. Last season was a hand on a ship rail, I believe. The season before that was the blimp. This has always been the way they do things. I know show history is irrelevant to you all but you should at least maybe Google something before jumping into blogs and raging.

Yep, I agree. Last season the show was heavily promoting Buddie. And it seems they have subtly began doing that again, while completely ignoring the canon relationship. But we do have to see if they will keep it up. I expect they will though.

This Hulu intern might just be a Buddie fan, but in the end they still commented using the Hulu account. They would have known it would be noticed and shared, but they still didn't delete it, which means that it was posted deliberately. They didn't just forgot to sign out of their professional account.

The comment talked about Buck deserving to be happy. Which basically implies that he isn't there yet right now. He still hasn't found his true happiness.

I realise that this is just a small thing and it might not mean anything, but to me it's definitely a subtle nod to signal that something has shifted.

And yeah, the promo always starts with a small teaser that has none of the characters. It has always been like this.

I do think that last year it was a hand on the round window of a ship, instead of on the railing. Do correct me if I'm wrong though. 😋

This has me excited though! I wonder what else they have in store for us this month. I'm looking forward to it! 😁

Well "ship" usually refers to head-cannoning/wanting two characters to be romantically involved. Even if they are not in canon. Blue and Seafoam aren't a ship, they just are.. well, together. Its written into the canon that they are together. So its not a ship and its feels a lot different than a ship would..

As for Peach and Mario, a quick google search says they are canonically mutually romantically interested in each other. Same with Luigi and Daisy. I only tagged my posts as "Mario x Peach" and "Luigi x Daisy".. because that's what people search for when they wanted to see romantic content of those characters-

And even if google straight up lied/is wrong and it turns out not to be confirmed? Those two pairings are so strongly suggested/implied in canon, that I don't get any of negative feelings I associate with ships.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I just don't like ships. It really isn't my thing for a lot of reasons. There's a loooot of not great feelings associated with them. None of my own characters make me feel that way becuase I created them. And their relationships are written into the story..

And the Mario pairings are canon. Or at the very least, they are soooo strongly implied, that I don't get any of the negative feelings associate with ships even if they weren't canonically a thing.. I hope that made sense..?

Anyway Simeon is my favorite guy ever and has been since the beginning I'm completely obsessed with him bc he's literally perfect tell my WHY on gods green earth he's always getting swept under the rug. Why does this man never get any attention and when he does why is he mischaracterized. He's got it all. He's tall and handsome in kind of an ethereal effeminate way, he's sweet and kind but not a pushover, he's one of the most tragic characters in the game, he's the perfect muse for a religious trauma arc, a corruption arc, a "the calm collected one who's always having a good time finally snaps and goes apeshit" arc, I mean come on. Come on. Every time I remember that his main sin is wrath despite him being SO chill and gentle on the outside I want to giggle a little bit. My beautiful princess with identity issues and slutty waist I'm so sorry everyone ignores you

Solomon though. I don't remember how I felt about him at first (other than lots of gender envy) but he wasn't a favorite until I came back to the fandom after being absent for ages. Like damn this man is everything. He's so complicated /pos that I cant even articulate why I love him so much but he's so well written (maybe one of the only ones who are written halfway decently) and SO tragic. The way he's so desperately in love with the mc and is forced to watch them go for literally anyone else but would still do anything for them and ask for nothing but a little bit of loyalty in return is scrumptious. Also the way immortality just kinda fucks you up after a while when you're only human. I've been very tempted to put him in a poly ship with my mc and Simeon bc he deserves it but for now he just has to watch from afar as the man he loves endlessly makes out with his best friend that he also kinda sorta has a little crush on bc making the gays suffer brings me copious amounts of joy. He's also the "always totally calm and collected no matter what but actually has really strong feelings that he works to keep in check" type like Simeon and I love that for him. One of the fics I'm reading has him once become so panicked over the MC's wellbeing that he completely loses his composure. Yelling, trembling, the whole nine yards and it was fucking glorious, I love seeing characters like him break.

Also I have to talk a little about Lucifer. He's not generally a favorite but I just think it's funny how I went from hating his guts bc I thought he was an asshole to to liking him a lot bc I have a weak spot for big brother characters. He loves his family so so so much and just has trouble showing it properly!! He's still an asshole and an uptight prick but I like that about him now. My mc had the same development with him as I did, he went from "I hate this motherfucker I wanna kill him also he kinda scares me" to "this is my big brother we are holding hands :)" in the span of like a year and a half and it's really funny. Lucifer thought he was finally getting a sensible housemate and friend but ended up getting another insufferable, headache indicung little brother figure instead. Also I kinda have a non canon ship between him and my MC's father bc the idea is SO funny but also a little cute bc they compliment each other real well. My mc would become homophobic so fast if he found out and thinking about it is incredibly entertaining

genshin: for thomayahao, he appears right alongside thoma when the traveller first gets to inazuma on the dock! when he sees the traveller arrive though, he ends up walking away.

yizou — hmm i dont remember what big story quests heizou was part of besides his hangout! but zhaoyi is definitely present in heizou’s hangout hah!

can’t say much for wriohao bc i haven’t played the story quest at all for fontaine 🫢

hsr: b!zhao first appears as someone stalking the astral express during their time on the xianzhou. we don’t see a full picture of him until after he and kafka pull blade out of jail.

s!zhao appears with sunday in the story!!

hq au jun is nekoma’s manager!! so he first appears in the show when they do :3c his entrance scene depends on which ship! for kojun (sugawara), he quite literally runs into the karasuno boys bc he had to take care of some last minute things.

s!zhao is on friendlier terms with people fs. the express didn’t trust him much at first but after the whole ena’s dream thing, he’s grown on them.

And its hard for me to say exactly? Im still very much into bsd but ive been distant with the fandom for a little while now BUT!! From what i remember what i usually didnt like was when people would make them so..two dimensional kinda?? BSD has pretty morally complicated characters and it was really weird when people would flatten sskk's personalities down to just some ship dynamic bc they are SOOO much more complicated than that. And thats just as INDIVIDUALS!! Even when considering them together theres a lot to think about when it comes down to their functionality, whether or not its viewed as romantic or platonic. And of course youre always gonna have those people who just water down any mlm ship into some weird dynamic that doesn't even fit the character's relationship which is just obviously Not Great.

And then as far as the characters individually i feel like a lot of people baby atsushi its really odd. Like that man has gone through some shit he is GROWNNN. I think its because hes the "softer" one out if the two or whatever. Which yeah he's nicer, its made clear akutagawa isn't a great person but atsushi isnt the exact opposite of akutagawa or the "softer" one. They're narrative foils of eachother, they mirror many of the other's character traits and atsushi has also done some Not Super Stellar shit. Do i think most of it was within reason? A little, considering what hes been through and exactly what he did. I do think he is the better person between the both of them - and i feel like thats also proven - but he is by NO means "innocent" or anything weird like that.

Then for akutagawa its really only that weird sa headcannon that originated from something he said in Beast (i can't remember exactly what, but i remember thinking it was NOT enough to warrant a hc like that. I remember that much). And as someone who's been through that a couple times i think its one thing if its some way to help someone cope or feel more seen (more specifically it isnt my business to cast judgement -unless it hurts them or someone else- and im no therapist), but i have seen people apply the headcannon simply because they say its "implied" or it "makes sense". Which, once again, as someone who's gone through that i think thats just. Weird. I dont like it. I personally try to stay away from any talk about it at all from anyone.

I also don't like when people make it seems like Atsushi has to save Akutagawa or something like hes some knight in shining moral armor. Its much more complicated than that and I could go further into this but it would be a whole rant about their characters and dynamic and itd go on FOREVER. So im just gonna say that akutagawa is also a grown man and knows well enough what hes doing with himself, even if its unhealthy (not that Atsushi is any better but lets be real no one is this show really is) and he wouldn't listen to atsushi if he didnt want to anyway. This part is really just personal opinion though, and i don't cast hard judgement on people who see them that way. Im not the type to care enough.

So yeah i guess it wasn't really hard to say at all LMFAO but otherwise i dont think ive had any other issues abt it?? I dont pay much attention to things i don't like anyway so im not easily bothered lol

❤️‍🩹 - angsty hc: I like to think that book 3 was…. particularly stressful for her (although it would be for anyone but). just. blending in with the enemy, wearing their clothes and walking among them, I think she’d be very on edge, paranoid. of course these feelings never last long, but they’re nagging at the back of her mind all the same.  😋 - funny/stupid hc: probably talks shit with momo. constantly thinking about how she asked for a table for two when it was just the both of them, I’m gonna take that a step further and say she holds whole conversations with him.       🪞- appearance hc: probably has very pruny hands, you know, because of the waterbending. sokka jokes that she looks like she has old lady hands, and is forcibly thrown into the ice-bucket challenge.                                                    🏡 - domestic hc: keeps a VERY tidy living space. I’m done hiding who I am, this part of me that’s been dormant for so long. I’m finally …. free.” “…. can I have it?” “*hop pop “BWAH?!?!?!?” sound*.”  🪞- appearance hc: has a scar on her lip!! I haven’t worked out what it’s from yet, but it goes from her bottom lip and just reaches her chin. either she got it in a fight, or while running from someone and ate shit because of those heels, or it was an unintentional shirou-related incident (cough). I imagine she has a number of scars in fact, claw and tooth marks. city’s rough.  🏡 - domestic hc: I feel like at one point, in a barely further future, she lets that one chatty albatross guy, entirely new and enamoured by the city, stay with her. he doesn’t go to the co-op, thinks it would be “awkward” with shirou being there, somehow less awkward to ask to stay with this one person he saw after a massive battle. and she’s like “wait till you find out I’m that guy’s informant.” but I feel like they’d really gel, after the initial “can’t believe he doesn’t notice I’m a con-artist” and “I’m doing such a good job at pretending I don’t know she’s a con-artist.”  🗡 - badass hc: probably very good in a fight. come onnnn, she jumps out the way of a close-range crossbow bolt, she slashes boris like he’s warm butter, she literally says “oh yeah sure I can kill those guys, done it before, but can you IMAGINE the paperwork?” very nimble I imagine, she literally runs and fights in heels multiple times, she’s gotta be very light on her feet. probably tussled with shirou at one point, maybe even got out the situation with a sort-of-win. michiru thinks she’s so cool (till she demands payment).

pink dawn: was your ship always a polycule? if it wasn’t, why did you decide to add in another character? when did you decide it was time to add in another character?

No it's not a polycule- it's just me and Tokiya. I kinda just want to focus on our growing and budding relationship.

quiet dusk: what time does everyone go to bed? does everyone get to bed at the same time, or does someone hop into bed earlier than someone else?

Tokiya tends to go to bed earlier than me since he has his idol duties. I've grown onto this habit of staying up late, which he doesn't really like. So, he keeps trying to get me to come to bed whenever he does.

rainy morning: what’s the order that everyone wakes up, from earliest to latest? feel free to include times too, if you know them!

Tokiya gets up first, not sure what time though. I usually set an alarm on my phone so I can get up early, but then I accidentally wake him up so I just let him go back to sleep.

friendship bracelets: how well do you all typically get along? has it always been like this, or did your f/os have to adjust to each other’s presence?

When we first met, I was very quiet and anxious- I had trouble even speaking to Tokiya. But, regardless we got along after I got more adjusted to work. All in all, we don't have any bad blood with each other.

pretty personality: do your f/os act differently around you than they do in canon? (ex: they have better morals, or they are more/less talkative) if so, how?

Tokiya acts the same, just more flirty and sometimes sarcastic. ^^;

Tokiya has an extensive book collection, mostly filled with classic literature from around the world.

He’s also a voice actor alongside being an on-screen actor. He’s featured in various anime, drama CDs, character song albums, etc.

Tokiya's the big spoon since he's taller than me. I really enjoy cuddling with him at night. ^^

We don’t really have a favorite place...since we have a lot. We have a lot of special memories whenever we go on our dates, so they’ve all become a “favorite” in some sort of way.

ferris wheel: say you all got to go to the carnival/fair one day, how does it go? is there anyone who refuses to ride anything deemed ‘scary’? is there someone who’s a ride fanatic? what about carnival games?

I don’t really like the roller coasters, so we won’t go on any of those. I prefer those swing rides or a carousel. A ferris wheel sounds nice too. ^^ Sometimes, I like to pester Tokiya into buying me something from the carnival games, like one of those cute plushies. 😋

We’d love to adopt a cat. I’ve always wanted one and it’s been confirmed that Tokiya likes cats as well.

Nintendogs...that takes me back. I don’t have a 3DS irl ‘cause I’m broke. Buut, for the sake of this question, let’s just say we both have the Nintendogs + Cats version. I feel like Tokiya would be a lot more competitive than me. He’d take part in the contests to get more achievements and prizes. I’d rather just take care of my pets and go to the café with my doggies. ^^

My favorite color is purple, and Tokiya doesn’t really have a favorite color. He has an appreciation for all of the colors.

Tokiya’s more protective of me- he’s said he just has that instinct to look after me.

ambition: what’s everyone’s hobbies? are there any hobbies your f/os might think nobody knows they have, but everyone does know? are there any hobbies they don’t know you have?

Tokiya enjoys gardening and drawing. My hobby is writing of course, but I would love to turn into a full-on career in the future.

sleeping on live: it’s a discord call, and somebody’s fallen asleep. what does everyone else do? do you let them sleep, or would someone startle them awake (either on accident or on purpose).

In my headcanon, Tokiya is fluent in English and is currently studying Chinese(perhaps both Mandarin and Cantonese). I'm currently learning Spanish, but I'll most likely never use it... Tokiya is teaching me Japanese- I could use the extra help. ^^

feverish: who gets sick often? who seems to be invincible to sickness? how do you all take care of each other?

Thankfully, neither of us gets sick all that often. But, I wouldn't say we're invincible to sickness. If it's something small like a headache or something, we can handle it ourselves. But, if it's something contagious, we keep our distance to prevent it from spreading, although it's not something we particularly enjoy.
