Moodboard for Edgar Lichtenstein, AKA not actually a doctor. Most of these document his fashion styles throughout the decades, after he's made immortal for attempting to play God. We got Crowley on there twice because he looks like him throughout the 60s and 70s. Everyone's amazed how deftly he picks up the moves of disco and the fashion of the times. His Time has come, his twinkish self is finally considered attractive. He thrives. In the 50s he's more of a family man, having figured out how to give his maternal-minded wife & creation a baby. Like Gomez Addams, his ideals of family are a little...unorthodox. He exhibits a dark yet dorky sense of humour. Dr. Eggman is yet another inspiration for Edgar, particularly the fan video explaining his backstory (it's the ine that goes in depth with his scientific theories). Edgar has a similar relationship with his grandfather as Robotnik with his father in that video. He's a misunderstood scientist at the end of the day. Young Liar, Liar era Jim Carrey is also a good cast for Edgar, i think. Brian David Gilbert is the main visual inspiration for Edgar, & his personalityfits in perfectly with the descent into madness often prevalent in BDG's Unraveled series. The bottom three, Dr. Jamison Junkenstein, Young Frankenstein as portrayed by Gene Wilder, & Frank N. Furter are my personal top three mad scientist characters/designs, & they perfectly embody the chaotic horny energy of this absolute mad lad. I am so over the moon that I finally have a Frankenstein-style mad scientist character of my own to draw.
