hey do any ieytd lore enthusiasts wanna speculate on what in the WORLD these two images mean with me

i took these from the official website where JJ and Roxy have case files to look over and they’ve been driving me CRAZY. first off, why does Juniper have a red cigar in a black and white photo? did someone do that on purpose? red, especially dark red like that, is usually associated with Zor, right, but then WHY does the Agency have these pictures with the captions scribbled out like that since both were made before any connection to Zor was even speculated?? like, for Juniper, if they just got this photo from somewhere random it could make sense, but what is UP with Prism’s? clearly it was taken while she was still working at the Agency since the file was made before 3 happened, so it seems like a normal classified document thing, but then what’s up with the color? there are five or six photos for both characters, and all of them are captioned in black and white EXCEPT for these two. the only connection that Juniper and Prism share in canon is Zor, but once again, these case files were clearly put together before either of their spotlight games occurred, so ???????

i feel like there’s enough of the captions still visible that someone smarter than me could decipher em so if anyone’s got any clues or ideas or theories PLEASE I NEED ANSWERS

but all might's characterization drawing so much strength from mother figures. his victory pose, his laugh, from his earliest memories with his mother. learning to smile and be strong from nana. thinking of nana in his worst moments and gaining strength- i thought of her as my own mother, being formed as a person by nana's life and death. i dont know why hori specifically chose to make the seventh holder a woman (shigaraki's story would have worked if nana was male) but i love that toshinori yagi is a mama's boy.

so much of the media i love has cool male mentors or emphasises fathers, male mentors, or if women are a source of drive or inspiration they exist in that capacity as lovers; but to have an Incredibly Powerful male hero that goes "yes, i derive all my strength from my mother-figure mentor" is so dear to me. his earliest memories of his happy childhood featuring his biological mother.

Roxana: yeah but... No one's run into my lab fatally wounded or set the breakroom on fire for fun. Not one of you have stuck a gun through a mail slot and shot at each other and if I were to stop talking right now, there would be silence. There is never a second of silence over there.

Zor: ... And the EOD just... Lives like that?

Roxana: unfortunately so.

I Expect You To Date: REBOOTED

OOC: Well, you asked for it, and it's back! There's still a few things to work out, I need to figure out how to format it to avoid burnout, but the server's ready! So without further ado, welcome back to I Expect You To Date!

The way this works is a mix between a dating sim and freeform rp. I'll usually give the player one or more options to reply with, but they'll almost always also have a [Custom] option, which allows them to write their own response.

Basic plot is, the Agency finally discovered Zoraxis's main base, and there's no one better to send undercover than good old Agent Phoenix. There are 3 Acts in the game, and 8 routes, selected at the end of Act 1- 6 familiar faces and 2 secret routes.

With all that said, I hope you'll join me in foiling Zoraxis's top brass's most dastardly plot yet- remaining single.

in my interpretation, Zor is human th like the handler and Roxana but never show their true self.. at least now now Juniper and Fabby are humanoid while, solaris, hivemind and Phoenix are creatures !

My opthalmologist drove me up a fucking wall today. She kept wanting to reduce the magnification on my reading glasses because someone in their 30s shouldn't need something that strong. She kept saying that "shouldn't" and "age group" until I had to take a hard stance with her.

"I have osteoporosis, I've been through menopause, I've been sick with chronic illnesses since I was 15. My age group is irrelevant to my health."

She was annoyed with me I could tell. I'd seen another doctor in the practice last time as a fill in who was super thorough. For the followup, I requested that they switch that woman to my regular doctor instead. I don't deal with doctors who try to force me into the "normal" box and don't address my actual problems.

have y’all ever seen that one post about Mistlefoe(TM)? it’s just mistletoe but instead of kissing whoever is under it you have to FIGHT them.

i think that mistlefoe is a time-honored Agency/Zoraxis tradition that stretches back so far that no one knows which of the two organizations came up with it first. over the years, it’s been honed down to a science: no weapons, one attack each, dodging and blocking is allowed. it’s still stupid dangerous but when has that EVER stopped them

most people have a signature attack that they do under the mistlefoe. here are a couple of my ideas, feel free to add on!!

Agent Phoenix - bit of a wildcard; default is a friendly slug to the shoulder since most agents don’t try to dodge their attack (highly subject to change since every Phoenix is so different)

Reginald - a well-telegraphed right hook that can be easily dodged. you’d better actually dodge it tho bc he hits HARD

Juniper - he’s slapping you. everyone knows that that’s what he’s going to do, and everyone thinks that they’re going to be the one who can block or dodge or otherwise avoid it, but you cannot prevent the John Juniper Movie Slap. it is inevitable. he’s slapped everyone at Zoraxis, and now he’s slapping everyone at the Agency. you cannot stop him

Roxana - she thinks that this game is stupid (true) but if absolutely forced to participate she’ll roll her eyes and punch you in the solar plexus and instantly knock the wind out you. most people don’t force her into it twice

Fabricator - she plays dirty, man. either she’s got a trap already set up (technically against the rules, but who’s going to call her out?) or she’s going for the shins with her high heels. you will die

Solaris - she’ll effortlessly block anything you throw at her, then flick your forehead. sounds weak but she’s got enough finger strength she can knock you off your feet like that

Hivemind - no bees allowed, so he’ll just pinch you really hard for a similar effect

Caliente - he’s the sort of man who respects the classics. you can expect any kind of straight-forward punch from him

Anna - when she first joined, she’d go for the ribs. by the end, though, whatever she threw was so easy to dodge it was sort of hard to tell what she was even going for

Ollie - he’s either booping your nose or laying you out flat with a punch even he didn’t know he was capable of, no inbetween

Zor - pray that you never find yourself under the mistlefoe with them. no one knows what they do because no one has ever survived it

So there I was watching Critical Role and thinking "Oh thank god, team Wildemount's back in Jrussar. The teleport must've worked and Matt and Laura are just massive trolls."

Then I check Tumblr and find there's a five day time difference, theories that Prism's scry might have been messed with and/or time's done its wibbly wobbly thing???

Well shit, this is going to be interesting. And here I was thinking Bor'dor biting it was the biggest trauma of the night.
