Word Count: 1.8k
Rating: 18+ Minors DNI
Warnings: Some Suggestive Language, Angst.. That’s All, Slight Asshole Roman
A/N; It’s Honestly Taken Me Forever To Put Something Out Because I Haven’t Been Feeling My Writings 🙈, But I Hope You Guys Enjoy 🫶🏽
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You and Roman had been together for four years. Four years together that had been a whirlwind that was exhilarating and heart-wrenching, sometimes simultaneously. The intensity of your relationship mirrored the explosive nature of the WWE universe itself. For a long time, you had embraced the chaos, the thrill of being as much in love with a superstar as you were with the man behind the persona. But love requires reciprocity, understanding—things that felt increasingly absent.
You felt as though you’re now walking a tangled path woven with love, pain, heartbreak, and an insatiable hope for change.
The air in the locker room felt heavy with unspoken tension, a tightrope stretched thin between You and Roman.
You felt like you were spiraling downwards. You were secretly proud of his achievements, but it felt like a parallel world now—a reality you could barely touch.
You sat on the edge of the bench, your fingers digging into the edges of the metal seat the only thing keeping you grounded, glancing up at Roman every few seconds.
Roman leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his expression a mask of indifference. The faint sounds of the arena buzzing beneath them seeped in, but it was a distant hum, like a memory of laughter he no longer cared to recall.
“Roman,” you started, your voice trembling slightly, “we need to talk.”
“Talk?” He raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise. “What more is there to say? We’ve been through this.”
A sharp breath hitched in your throat. “You can’t just act like this is normal! You’ve cheated on me—again! How can you just stand there, arms crossed, like it doesn’t matter?”
He shrugged, a careless smirk playing on his lips. “You’re still here, aren’t you? You could have left anytime.”
“Stop.” Your voice was barely above a whisper, but it cut through the silence like a knife. “Just stop with the games. I’m done being hurt. I can’t keep doing this.”
“No, there’s no stop, because you know I’m right sweetheart.” He replied, the nickname that once gave you butterflies now making your stomach ache “You could have left the first time, I knew you were going to leave the second time, but where are you now… right here. So can we stop with the theatrics and just move to the part where I bend you over this couch and you forgive me.”
“No Roman” your heart racing as you fought back tears of frustration. “I can’t do this anymore! I’m done being hurt. You’re nothing but toxic, and I’m leaving … for real this time”
He rolled his eyes, pushing off the wall to close the distance between you. “You think you’re going to leave me? You’ve said that before. It’s just words.”
You stood, heart pounding like the crowd at WrestleMania, but this wasn’t a show. “ No! I’m done, Roman. I can’t keep doing this. I’ve stayed through the hurt and heartache, but you never learn. You always come crawling back with excuses, and I—a fool, am always here,” you spat, the words feeling both liberating and terrifying.
A fire ignited in your chest, anger mixing with hurt. “I mean it this time. I’m done. I deserve better than this.”
“Better?” He laughed, a deep, mocking sound that echoed in the small space. “You think you deserve better? Look around, Yn. You’re not going anywhere. You need me.”
“Need you? Or need the idea of you?” You shot back, your voice rising. “You’re not the man I fell in love with. You’ve become someone I barely recognize.”
Roman leaned into your space more, arms crossed, an unsettling indifference etched on his face. “You say that now, but we both know you’re not going anywhere,” he replied coolly, not even attempting to mask the boredom in his tone. It was a statement devoid of remorse—no pleas, no arguments. Just a calculated, toxic dismissal.
And You felt it; the hollow truth twisted within you despite your words. He was right. You had faltered before; in your heart, you had acknowledged the struggles countless times. Underneath all that bravado, this blow struck and you felt your heart splinter, the walls that had once protected it crumbling down. He was right, and the realization twisted like a knife in your gut. Why hadn’t you left?
This was a question not only you asked yourself countless times, but your friends also. Bewildered by your loyalty to someone who had brought you so much pain.
“You're better than this, Yn,” they urged, their concern evident in their voices.
“You deserve someone who respects you!”
Each time, you brushed it off, offering excuses for his behavior. But as you replayed the moments of hurt in your mind, the love that had once enveloped you had grown bitter, tainted by betrayal and neglect.
Numbness began to settle in, creeping over you like shadows at dusk. Each betrayal was a stone you carried, and you had grown accustomed to the weight.
With a shaky breath, you said nothing else, and walked past Roman, leaving his locker room. Tonight would became the silent goodbye you’d never vocalize.
Throughout the rest of the night, his words replayed over and over in your head, highlighting how his tone was almost dismissive, as though your pain held no value to him.
And In that moment, something inside you shifted. It was as if his words had stripped the very essence of your determination, leaving behind a cold, desolate emptiness. You felt numb, suddenly aware that he was right in a way. After enduring so much, you had lost the strength to fight, and He didn’t even know it.
As days went by & then days turned into weeks, you pulled away. You went through the motions of your daily lives, but the light in your eyes faded. You laughed but didn’t feel the joy. When you had the time to be home you cooked meals that went uneaten, and when you and Roman shared the same space, you were there but not really there—your laughter a façade, your smiles mere echoes of the person you once was.
You bid farewell to the emotional connections that had held you hostage all this time. You continued yourbroutine—getting ready for work, attending wrestling events, living your life in the background. But the spark was gone. You were here, physically, but mentally, you had withdrawn. The vibrant glow you once had was snuffed out, leaving a shadow of your former self.
For Roman, the change was palpable, but he mistook it for a development of maturity, perhaps a stoic acceptance of the realities of your guys tumultuous relationship. His world revolved around the ring, where battles were fierce and triumphs celebrated. He didn't realize the significant emotional loss he had endured until he caught glimmers of your stifled laughter, absent from its usual exuberance.
“Something’s off,” he confessed to his cousin Jimmy, one night backstage.
Jimmy raised an eyebrow, “You mean besides the fact that you keep screwing things up?” Roman brushed off the comment, irritation sparking within him. “No, I mean… she’s not the same. She’s withdrawn. It’s like I’ve lost her.”
“Maybe you have Uce.”
Weeks turned into months as Roman tried to break through the wall you had built around your heart. He watched you at the events—your smile forced, your laughter distant, your once vivacious spirit now a mere shadow. He tried to connect over shared memories, but every attempt was met with a steely indifference.
One evening, after a show you guys were sitting in silence across from each other when he finally spoke.
Yn… we need to talk.”
He Sighed when he was met with nothing but silence, but he still pushed on.
“You’re… different.”
“When did you start caring?” You replied, your tone flat, the hurt etched into your very being. “It’s too late for that.”
“What’s going on with you?” He studied you intently for the first time in a long while, something almost resembling concern darkening his features.
“I’m just tired, Roman. I’m tired of being hurt and ignored. I thought you’d care more about us.”
You met his gaze, and for the first time, your walls slipped just a fraction, revealing the vulnerability beneath the numbness. “You have no idea what you’ve lost, do you?”
Realization washed over him like a cold wave. He had taken you for granted, always believing you would stay no matter how far he pushed you away. His heart sank as he understood the truth: he was losing you.
“I didn’t mean for things to end up like this,” he said, his voice cracking slightly. “I... I do care.”
“Caring isn’t enough anymore. You don’t even see me anymore.” You fought the tears threatening to spill down your cheeks, refusing to show the brokenness you felt inside.
The weight of your words struck him like a harrowing realization. This was the point of no return. This wasn’t just about the betrayals or his toxic habits; it was about your irrevocable decision to shield your heart from further wounds.
In that moment, something shifted within Roman. He was finally confronted with the urgency of your pain, the reality of what his actions had wrought. For the first time, he felt the real weight of losing you—a loss that could break apart his seemingly unshakeable world.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, though it felt inadequate. Because in the end, “sorry” had never been enough for you , and now, amidst the wreckage of your fractured love, he realized the true cost of his indifference.
“I just .. i can’t keep doing this” you said as you stood up to leave the room, Roman felt panic rising within him. “Yn, wait. Please don’t go. Can we try again?”
“It’s too late”
You turned to walk away, a single tear trailing down your cheek, carving a path through your mask of indifference. You were still standing with a semblance of strength, but deep down, you were fragile, teetering on the edge of release.
In that moment, you both understood: the man who had once held your heart now stood as a weary ghost in your closed-off world.
And as you walked away, fully embracing the numbness, your heart echoed with a mix of sorrow and relief. The door closed behind you softly, and the sound signaled the end of your tragic love story, one that had been thrilling yet, ultimately, unfulfilling.
Roman sat alone, enveloped in the chilling silence of the room, staring into the void of what he had taken for granted, He was lost, and as the echo of your absence reverberated through the air, leaving him with a profound emptiness he was left grappling with a painful truth—he had taken the love of his life for granted, and he may have just lost you forever ,—a lesson learned too late in the WWE universe where nothing was ever guaranteed

Curiosity Killed the Kitten
Sylus x MC // Love and Deepspace
Author's Note: First I was horny about Caleb's return, but catching up on the lore has me in my feelings. No smut, just emotional hurt/comfort with Sylus. All of my LADS fics take place in the same universe and is a connected story which means MC is romantically involved with ALL 5 love interests. This is just me trying to put the pieces together that we get in the game and applying it how I think makes sense in MC's situation.
Summary: After going to Skyhaven for an undercover mission and learning that Caleb is alive and well, as well as discovering some unsettling information about the Farspace Fleet and his role in it, MC returns home to Linkon City. All of the men in her life are concerned about her sudden unexpected vacation, but Sylus most of all does not accept the flimsy excuses of her brief disappearance. Content Warnings: Reverse Harem/Why Choose (MC is with all five love interests in my au), afab!MC, she/her!MC, tracking device without MC's consent, canon-typical Sylus stalking, Angst, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Fluff Word Count: ~2600 words | Read on AO3 | Chapter List
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since returning to Linkon City after your extended “vacation” in Skyhaven, you have felt an uneasiness settling in your gut. You should be over the moon that your long-dead brother wasn’t dead after all but everything about Caleb seemed… off.
There were still traces of the boy you remember. He still doted on your every need. Was still over protective in the most annoying ways and still used humor and guilt to soften your irritation. He had never been straight forward with you, always willing to do whatever he needed to protect you even if it meant keeping you in the dark. So the fact that he deflected most of your suspicious questions concerning the practices of the Farspace Fleet was not a surprise, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that he had lied right to your face about many of the things he did answer, which was new.
He had always seemed a little haunted to you; like there were things he wasn’t saying or couldn’t say and that hadn’t changed, but the depth of it now seems insurmountable. What was it they said about gazing into the abyss? Well now, often times when Caleb looked at you, you felt the abyss gazing back. Like your caring brother was gone and the cold officer he had become was steering the wheel. You couldn’t decipher where Caleb began and the Colonel ended.
While in Skyhaven, you hadn’t received any of messages and had connectivity issues with the wifi. Initially, you had reasonably blamed the shoddy signal on the fact that you were in a city in the sky and that the near-constant storms were to blame, but after uncovering some suspicious information about Caleb’s new life, you were no longer convinced it was a mere accident. Which left you to believe either the Fleet had more of an influence on Skyhaven than anyone suspected, despite what their public policies claimed, or Caleb himself had intentionally isolated you. Both were concerning and likely had some truth to them, but the former was more painful to think about.
Your phone had been buzzing nearly non-stop since coming back to the city, updating with message after message. Messages from Xavier about hot pot and confusion about your sudden approved vacation days that you never mentioned taking; Rafayel feigning danger, saying he needed his bodyguard to come and check on him asap; Zayne concerned that he hadn’t heard a word from you after Mia’s unfortunate death and insisting you check in with him as soon as you are able.
They had been relatively easy to appease for now. You informed them all you had just returned home and would make sure to see them in the coming days— you just needed one day to sort through your thoughts and feelings about the Caleb situation. Besides, what were you supposed to say? I didn’t actually go on vacation because I went on a solo undercover mission for the Association connected to the explosion of my grandmother’s house just to find my long-dead brother/sort of ex-boyfriend is actually alive and well, and is now one of the top ranking leaders of the Farspace Fleet who may be involved in some unethical practices because I had one conversation with a little boy whom they had been searching for and he seemed to have a complete personality change in the two days after his sister’s death?
It wasn’t exactly something that could be explained in a text message.
Needless to say, your men were worried about you, but Sylus most of all. Though his messages where a lot more direct in their efforts to get to the bottom of your disappearance. They started off playful enough in their probing, but the longer you were gone, the more insistent they became.
Mr. Crow: Mephisto reported that you packed a bag. A big one. Where are we going?
Mr. Crow: Now he says you boarded a shuttle. Why would you do that when you have a helicopter in the N109 at your disposal?
Mr. Crow: Your return date is a week from now. Did you go on vacation without me, kitten? You never mentioned a work trip.
Mr. Crow: I know you’re a busy big time hunter but it’s unlike you to ignore my messages like this, sweetie.
Mr. Crow: Mephisto lost you. The twins can’t find you either.
Mr. Crow: Where are you?
Mr. Crow: You disappeared on me and I’m worried. This isn’t like you.
Mr. Crow: I’m very unhappy with you right now.
Mr. Crow: You can’t hide forever, kitten…
You knew without a shadow of a doubt that Sylus saw the moment you returned to the city because your mechanical bird companion was tailing you again. You hadn’t intentionally slipped his detail or left Sylus hanging during your leave. It was no secret that the Onichynus leader kept watch of you and it had actually become a welcome security over the months since you began seeing one another.
It should have struck you as odd that Sylus didn’t hunt you down during your two week stay in Skyhaven but the truth was you had been hit with near constant surprises in the floating city that you had no time to think about anything but what was happening in that moment. But now that you were away and had space to think, you were left to wonder why Sylus never came for you. Why you were able to be imprisoned on a military fleet ship against your will and your mighty crime boss didn’t track you down and bust you out.
Your phone buzzes again, shaking you from your thoughts.
Mr. Crow: Look who’s back in town.
Kitten: Will you meet me somewhere?
Mr. Crow: Turn around.
You lower your phone, eyebrows drawn together as you turn against the flow of pedestrian traffic. Your eyes flit through the decorated streets, colorful ribbons and lanterns decorating the way in preparation for the New Year. The crowd parts, making way for a hulking man in a leather jacket walking steadily toward you with danger flashing in his crimson eyes, his mouth set into a hard line. It never ceased to amaze you how Sylus was able to blend in with a crowd when he stood out to you so much. He towered over everyone and had a dangerous aura to him, yet no one batted an eye in his direction.
You gulp nervously, knowing he wouldn’t let you get away without an explanation. One you still weren’t even sure how to say. Anxiousness has your feet moving quickly as you duck into an alleyway to wait for him. You couldn’t do this with an audience. Though it’s still light out, the strings of decorations above has the alley appearing more dark than usual, allowing you to slink into the shadows and away from prying eyes. It doesn’t take Sylus long to catch up, his own shadow eating up whatever light remains as he draws closer until he’s towering above and caging you against the stone wall.
“Sylus—”
“Would you look at that? I caught myself a stray.”
His fingers curl under your chin, not-too-gently angling your face toward his. That simmering anger in his eyes softens at the sight of you, disappearing completely to be replaced with concern. He reads you entirely too well, even if he doesn’t know the cause.
“What’s wrong, sweetie?”
You let out a vulnerable sigh, lip wedging between your teeth to combat the sting in your eyes as the relief of this secret you’ve been holding onto is lifted off of your shoulders the slightest bit. You didn’t realize just how much you had been carrying since Caleb’s return, but if a single soft look and concerned question from one of your boyfriends was enough to make you feel like crumbling, it must be a lot.
You still hardly believed it yourself that Caleb was alive and well after all this time. Had seen him with your own eyes and yet you still felt the loss of grief from his death and the sting of betrayal at his return. A confusing whorl of emotion builds up inside your chest because along with the relief that he was alive, you felt an overwhelming sense of resentment toward him.
For so long, Caleb was the only one you saw, blinded by the tunnel vision of his affection. Then he went and died before you could navigate the complex secret relationship the two of you shared only to return from the death of a literal explosion to metaphorically blow up your life just when you had started learning how to live without him. Just when you had begun to find comfort and care with Sylus and the other men in your life. They had become your new foundation in the rubble of Caleb’s place and now he was returning from the dead to level it once again. The rebuilding process had been overbearing and painful and lonely and you didn’t know how much more you had in you to start over again.
As much as you loved Caleb, he never played well with others when it came to you. Sylus thought Zayne’s jealousy and reluctance to share your time had been a hurdle but your childhood friend was nothing compared to your brother’s jealous streak. In the handful of times you were shared between Caleb and Zayne in your youth, it was always at Caleb’s command. Nothing happened without his approval. What he said went and neither you nor Zayne ever dared cross that line to try to further explore your attraction to one another. Not until after the explosion, anyway.
A gentle thumb on your jaw brings your attention back to the present, sympathetic ruby eyes grounding you.
“Does it have to do with how much time you spent in Skyhaven recently?”
Surprise and panic flicker across your face at Sylus’s question.
So he did know where you had gone, after all.
“Please, sweetie. After all this time and you’re still surprised that I keep tabs on you?  Mephisto may well be glued to your side. And that’s not even taking the twins into consideration or counting the various tracking devices planted on you and in you.”
“Sylus!”
“What?” he feigns innocence.
“Mephisto following me is one thing but you can’t bug me! I’m an agent of the law. Not to mention, where the hell did you get plant devices that can evade government detection? And more importantly, how did you get one inside of me without me knowing?”
Sylus’s proud grin widens as a thick leather-covered arm wraps around you like a vine. He pulls you into a slow dance in the alley, no musical accompaniment or reason for it other than he wanted to and he missed you.
It soothed some of the warring emotions within you, making your irritation with his stalking tendencies dissipate. Truth be told, you were grateful that he cared so much about your safety. You know Sylus now and know that his only intentions are your safety and success. Though you wouldn’t ask it of him, he would burn the whole world down if you requested him to, for the mere purpose of pleasing you. You couldn’t same the same about Caleb, who only ever kept you in the dark about his intentions.
“You should know by now that nothing is out of my budget or reach, kitten,” he purrs.
His playful demeanor slips a fraction. To anyone else it would have been undetectable but having spent so much intimate time with the Onychinus leader, you have learned to read him nearly as well as he reads you.
“What is it?” you ask, cupping his jaw.
Sylus nuzzles into your palm, a heavy sigh puffing through his nostrils, reminding you of a mighty beast that had been tamed.
“Nothing is out of my reach,” he repeats, “except whenever you disappeared into Skyhaven. Mephisto managed to follow your shuttle all the way to the city gates but the moment he tried to cross the threshold he began to short out. He had no choice but to turn back. Once you crossed over, I also lost signal of every tracking device on your person, including this one,” his finger lightly trace a spot between your shoulder blades. So that’s where it is. “I lost the ability to track you. To keep you safe. That’s never happened before and naturally was a cause for concern.” He hesitates for a moment as if afraid to ask but does anyway. “Where did you go during your ‘vacation’?”
“I don’t know where to start,” you admit as the tightness in your chest starts to constrict to a painful degree. The cardiac event monitor on your watch begins to beep erratically, indicating a dangerous rise in your pulse oxygen levels.
“Shhh, it’s okay,” Sylus pulls you close to his chest, resting your head and hand against the steady rhythm of his own heartbeat.
He talks you through the attack, his calming voice like a balm to your ringing ears. After several long moments, you feel like you can breathe again and your watch finally goes quiet.
“Yes, I’m with her right now and she seems to be coming out of it,” Sylus’s voice drifts clearly to your ears once more. His voice tightens irritably at whatever the person on the other end says. “I wouldn’t put her in that kind of danger. I called you as soon as her symptoms began, didn’t I?”
He pauses again to listen to whatever was being said, giving you a reassuring smile though he still looks annoyed.
“I can drop her off at your office tomorrow morning. Or if you’re truly concerned and thinks she needs immediate medical attention, you’re welcome to meet me in the N109 Zone in an hour.”
Pause.
“That’s what I thought. I’ll continue to monitor her and if anything changes, you’ll be the first to know. Have a nice day, doctor.”
Sylus hangs up the phone and tucks the device back into his pocket. Hearing his side of the conversation, you have an idea of who he had been talking to.
“Dr. Zayne wants you to report to his office first thing in the morning. He said he won’t clear you to return to work until you do.”
This news comes as no surprise. Since an event was triggered, you would have to answer to Zayne about the cause, yet another conversation you weren’t ready to have. But he deserves to know Caleb is back. You just didn’t know how to tell him most of all. At least Sylus, Xavier, and Raf were a degree removed from the situation. Zayne would be almost as affected by the news as you, considering that Caleb was his best friend and the odd nature of the relationship the three of you previously shared.
“You could start from the beginning, sweetie,” Sylus murmurs against your hair, lips brushing your head in a loving kiss as he reminds you of what caused your heart rate to spike in the first place.
“I can’t,” your voice croaks. “Not now. Not here. It’s… too much.”
“Okay,” he relents. “But I’m taking you home with me regardless. After spending two weeks worrying about your safety and unable to reach you, I need you with me tonight. Then after a good meal and a lavender bath soak, if you feel like telling me what’s going on, I’ll be all ears.”
The sting returns to your eyes and you grip the back of his leather coat like an anchor. You were so grateful for your dragon and the way he kept you safe, even from yourself. That when you were spiraling down a vortex he would always catch you.
“I love you, Sylus,” you whisper, throat tight with emotion.
“I love you too, kitten.”

I'm gonna speak from my experience and it's probably going to be different than OP's and that's okay
I had super bad social anxiety from about 10th grade through most of university. I straight up believed that if I didn't have anything "worthwhile" to say, it was a burden to say anything at all, because then you'd be subjecting people to a painfully awkward social interaction they didn't want
So basically everything I had to say wasn't "worth it" and I felt like I was failing every social interaction, or cowarding out by hiding myself away when it became too exhausting
I think over the course of those years I had about 4 or 5 therapists?
Each was helpful for different reasons but the one that was the most helpful was a guy who had me write out what I believed about socializing. And we picked them apart until we got to the underlying truth
The one that really stuck out to me was we basically got to a point where he was like "so you believe human beings are inherently judgemental"
That didn't feel right. Like, yeah, we have automatic passing thoughts, but most people don't really care about what's weird with others for more than few seconds. Then they're focused on themselves again
So that stuck out to me as a belief I could revise. Where were examples of when people didn't care about me being awkward or not knowing how to socialize?
We devised a plan to test the new theory
I was in university at the time, and there were scheduled meet ups in our LGBTQA+ centre's on campus. That seemed like a pretty safe place to try things- I had even been there before
So I went. I went a few times. It was still tough sometimes but I started to feel more safe saying things, contributing to set discussion topics, or just being quiet when I didn't have anything to add (and not beating myself up for having nothing to add)
That built a little bit of confidence, then I had a few job experiences that helped too. At first those sucked - I would have panic attacks sometimes. But then around the time I was doing this therapy, I got one where I could tell my managers first thing, hey, I've got anxiety, this is what it might look like if I have a panic attack. And I didn't have a single one that term, or the term after.
I built up confidence just by reinforcing my new beliefs that people really weren't as hyperfocused as I was. I became more social - I had a cubicle of three other students around me, so I joined in on their discussions and even had a good time
Fast forward a few years, I'm now more comfortable and confident in any social situation than ever. I call with friends every week, I go out with my partner and do all sorts of stuff together, I have this huge community of people around me in all kinds of capacities!
I'm not you, and what worked for me isn't gonna be what works for you. Also? It's valid as fuck to not be in a place where you can at all comfortably socialize with any human beings at all, and to be there for so long that you just straight give up. Or maybe it's all you've ever known
That's fucking valid and you don't need to feel ashamed for it. And also, in my personal experience as someone who couldn't socialize without anxiety for several very formative years, people can become social
Doesn't mean you have to, or that one is better than the other. I'm just saying I was in a big doomer place before about my own ability to socialize and if I was talking to my past self, she'd be so fucking relieved to hear that things get better and she doesn't have panic attacks about talking to people anymore. She actually likes it
people are way way too generous in assuming that you can just “learn to be social” and everyone will welcome you with open arms and forgive you forever for all the years you spent not talking to people. sorry no. if you don’t start out social you never get the opportunity to become social. people assume that’s just how you are and treat you accordingly, and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy

I noticed you're a captain marvel fan and was wondering if you could guide me to any comic recs? I tried reading the one from (I think) 2023 and didn't really enjoy it that much but that's mostly because I usually hate whenever the internet or online culture is brought in media I consume
I haven't seen much Captain stuff apart from the comic from earlier, that one short film with superman in it and that comic were superman tells of the wizard for giving a child powers
BABY HOWDY DO I HAVE THE PEOPLE AND COMICS FOR YOU!
Okay so, pure Captain Marvel vibes and the soul of the character? Paul Dini and Alex Ross’s “Shazam: Power of Hope” It gets independent Billy down, shows his strengths and how this life can wear him down but the greatest thing he can do and hold onto is hope. Long as he has that he’s a good hero, plus we love some fatherly Shazam
“Shazam and the Monster Society of Evil” with Jeff Smith is fun and has a Billy that is truly 3 apples tall. I love him
Power of Shazam is the comic run that established him proper in the New Earth timeline and is one of the better long runs for him and the Marvel fam, odd choices here and there but all together a good run and a bunch of fun. He also has some JSA apperances and 52 ones that flesh out and contextualize his brotherly/nemesis relationship with Black Adam that I seriously love. With him you want to read “Black Adam: Black Reign”
And if you really wanna see Billy mess a guy up, check out “Day of Vengeance” as almost every magical person in the universe pools their power and support into Marvel so he can whallop the Spectre and then The Wizard deals the final TKO blow to his pale green cloaked butt
If you wanna talk more and see how crazy we are there also a Tumblr Community full of just about every Shazam fan I’ve found on this site

has your Star Trek series of choice ever left you wanting for more xenobiology? have you ever wanted to get really in-depth on a specific species? do you want to see anatomy charts? fun ads? are you an alien fucker looking to read about the semantics and science of alien sex?
LOOK NO FURTHER THAN ZINE O'BIOLOGY!
Zine O'Biology is a FREE zine all about xenobiology in Star Trek, made up of several contributors- including yours truly! you can find my piece on page 88: "The Study of Ethyr Bel: A Xenobiologist’s Observation of 30 Days of Progress with the Integration of a Trill Symbiont into a Non-Trill Host"
give us a download and give us a read! soooo many talented writers and artists came together for this, for everything from scholarly articles to charts to letters to the editor to fun in-universe ads! and, of course, we had the wonderful people over @zineobiology hosting, organizing, keeping up with deadlines and making all of this come together. please consider giving this zine a shot, and if it isnt your thing, send it to people you know will enjoy it! theres something for every kind of Trekkie in here
on a personal note, I had so much fun with my piece. this was such a fun reason to write about OCs- both Doctor Lonial and Ethyr are OCs of mine who I love very dearly. this piece was so much fun to write to go really in-depth on Trill symbionts and the idea of them Joining with non-Trill hosts, which was the concept behind creating Ethyr in the first place! when I saw this zine open applications, I knew I had to apply for it so that I could have a chance to just go completely hog wild on really thinking about just what that might look like. seriously, I had such a good time writing my piece, and it was VERY difficult to keep myself to the word limit lol I came REAL close to the submission deadline cause of the amount of editing I had to do
thank you to Zine O'Biology for letting me go crazy for 3k! I had a lot of fun doing it, and I hope other people have just as much fun reading it <3

First I want to say that I hope you’re feeling better, I can definitely relate to school taking a toll on my mental health (exams are a bitch). This AU gets my gears turning and I wanted to give some ideas for CITF for you to maybe look at when you are felling better. These are completely random and mostly unrelated to each other and in no particular order. I hope you enjoy!
Humans are only slightly shorter than cybertronians, when humans put the Cybertronians in their little pocket universe they made it so that the Cybertronians were bigger then everybody else, why? Because it’s funny. So when a human visits Cybertron they are the size of an average Cybertronians.
Humans or Y/N view Cybertronians as their children, as well as Primus AND Unicron. So if a scenario where the Lost Light has a human on board and they come across Unicron it’s going to be really weird for the crew because the human liaison is threatening Unicron with time out if he keeps doing what he’s doing (idk eating planets or smth) while Unicron is pouting and whining that he isn’t a kid anymore. While this exchange is happening the crew of the LL is both confused and horrified that this human is telling their version of Satan that they’re going to put them in time out.
The 13 original Primes where the only Cybertronians that knew Humans created them and since the Matrix of Leadership contains the knowledge of the past Primes this mean that Optimus knows that humans created his species.
Cybertronians were created as the next evolution of human robotics. The original 13 Primes were created to see just what they could do with the newly developed technology that was used to make Rung.
Scraplets act like dogs and/or cats around humans.
Every Cybertronian when they see a human and/or Y/N(The creator of their species) they subconsciously recognize them.
the reason why many Cybertronian alt modes have seats, steering wheels, cockpits, etc. is because they were originally made for human use.
I’m in the process of thinking about more stuff especially lore so I wanted to share some of my ideas.
OMG YES YES, THESE ARE AMAZING I LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE SHARE THEIR IDEAS WITH MEWIHDSUSENHEJ-
Im doing better now dw:) and also thank you so much for these lovely brilliant ideas, im stuffing these into the AU no exception!!
I really like the idea of human being the same size as cybertronians in this AU, I've been thinking about for a long time actually. Also if we're the same size, that mean we're practically giants compared to everyone else in the pocket universe (aside cybertronians). Their alt-mode having seats, steering wheels, cockpit, ect also make so much sense as they're originally made for human's use. IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER.
When imagining y/n and Unicron, i thought of that one scene in Adventure Time where Finn ground Ice King, i could see this totally happening lolol. The Lost Light, beside Rung prolly, are flabbergasted.
Scary robot Satan getting put in time out- actually, y/n putting both Primus and Unicron time out whenever they argue. Great, just great.
The 13 Primes being created using the same tech that was used to make Rung/Primus, the only few cybertronians knew of their species roots, those who obtained the Matrix of Leadership will be passed on the knowledge.... humans..humans originally created the Matrix? The Allspark?
Hnggggggggg-Domesticated Scraplets go brrrrrr, they're like tiny dogs/cats. Cybs be looking horrified as we pet those metal-eating pest that destroyed cities. Building an army of Scraplets and commanding them, i have no doubt some of you out there would try it. Shi, it'll be like minions and gru/j.
The bots getting that faint feeling of connection, they can't exactly put their digits onto it but it's there. It scares some and intrigue some, but they're all drawn to it in some way. What is it about these fleshies that feels... different? Yet familiar at the same time? Who are we to them?
Slowly, subconsciously, as if a long buried forgotten instinct surfaces. They started to listen more intently when we talk, when we indirectly or directly ask for something they fetch it for us, ect. It feels... right, like something clicked. It feels so right when we touch them, a small accidental brush, a handshake, or a friendly pat.
Before they knew it they started craving it, they feel like they lost their purpose when we're gone (like a vehicle being abandonded, left to rust and fall apart through time). It's scary and it's as uncanny as how much they yearn for a human's touch-
Im going insane.

Pairing: Carlos Sainz x OC
Summary: In the dizzying world of Formula 1, where speed and competition dominate every second, Carlos Sainz Jr., a young Spanish driver with undeniable talent, struggles to find his place amidst the pressure and expectations. Livia Visconti, heiress to an Italian fashion empire, moves with the same determination in a universe of elegance and power. Two opposing worlds, two strong personalities, an inevitable clash that will ignite a spark between them. But in a world where image and success are everything, can they risk it all for a love that defies the rules of the game?
Warnings: explicit language, agressive behaviour, themes of manipulation...
Tumblr media
Livia Visconti was no stranger to a party. Not at all; throughout her life, many had told her she was born for it. To blend into the crowd, to seduce, to get others to do what she wanted. To be a femme fatale.
And in that Monaco nightclub, she felt right at home, in her element.
The air throbbed with electronic music and the scent of expensive perfume. Livia Visconti, draped in a black dress that clung to her skin like liquid, glided through the crowd at the exclusive Monegasque club like a panther in the night. Her target: Carlos Sainz, the Spanish Ferrari driver, whose attention—and connections—she needed to secure the future of Casa Visconti.
She found him in the VIP area, surrounded by friends and admirers. With a calculated smile and a glass of champagne in hand, she made her way through the crowd until she reached him.
Taking a brief moment, she donned her infallible mask: the businesswoman, the heiress of one of the most exclusive luxury brands on the continent. Then she prepared to do what she had come to do.
“Carlos Sainz, right?” she asked in a seductive voice, placing a hand on his arm.
He looked at her with disinterest, his green eyes reflecting boredom. He brushed her hand off with a subtle but firm gesture.
“Yes, and you are...?”
“Livia Visconti,” she replied, extending a hand he barely touched. “A pleasure.”
“Uh-huh,” he murmured, without taking his eyes off his phone. He knew exactly who she was.
Livia wasn’t intimidated. She sat down beside him, crossing her legs with deliberate provocation.
“You’re even more handsome in person,” she said with a feline smile, her eyes roaming over him from head to toe.
Carlos raised an eyebrow, intrigued in spite of himself by her boldness.
“And you’re even more arrogant than I’d heard,” he replied, finally putting his phone away.
“I just get straight to the point,” she said, leaning in a little closer. “I like you, Carlos. And I think we could have a lot of fun together.”
He studied her with distrust. There was something in her gaze that unsettled him—a mix of ambition and calculation that made him uneasy.
“I’m not interested,” he said coldly.
Livia let out a laugh that sounded slightly forced.
“Don’t be shy, Carlos. I know you like me. Everyone does.”
“Don’t get it twisted,” he said, leaning back on the sofa and creating more distance between them. “I’m not that easy to manipulate. Especially not by someone like you.”
“Manipulate?” she repeated with a feigned pout. “That’s such an ugly word. I just want to get to know you better. To explore that... fire you carry inside.”
“I’m not interested,” he said again, his tone full of disdain. “And I’m especially not interested in exploring anything with you. You’re the kind of woman who’s only looking to climb the social ladder. I bet you don’t even know who won the last Grand Prix.”
Livia straightened up, offended. Her smile disappeared completely.
“The season was won by Max Verstappen—his third Drivers’ Championship and Red Bull’s sixth Constructors’ title. The last race of the season, at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, had Verstappen on the podium, followed by your teammate Charles Leclerc and George Russell in third.” With every word she spoke, Livia watched Carlos’s expression shift. “Idiot. You think you’re above everyone else.”
“And you think everyone else will always dance to your tune,” he shot back, meeting her icy gaze with his own. “You only care about men with money and fame. Gold-digger.”
“Gold-digger?” she let out an ironic laugh. No, she was beginning to lose control of the situation. “At least I know how money is made, unlike you, who just has to drive in circles,” she retorted, venom dripping from her voice.
“And at least I don’t have to sleep with anyone to get what I want,” he replied with a cruel smile.
Livia slapped him. The sound echoed through the silent VIP area, drawing everyone’s attention. Carlos stood up, furious, but she stopped him with a gesture.
“Don’t worry, I’m leaving,” Livia said, standing up abruptly. She had lost the opportunity completely. “A pleasure, Carlos.”

Prompt: With omegas completely removed from society, they needed their own communities and institutions to grow. All your life you had lived and gone to school alongside your fellow omegas, and orphaned alphas. You had managed to keep yourself together, but now at the university level, keeping your secret had grown impossible. You had to face your fears and make friends with an alpha eventually, and now was the time.
Tumblr media
“I don’t like this…”
You had been locked in your bedroom with Felix, anxiously pacing around the room. You couldn’t hear much of anything going on outside and you weren’t sure if that was good or bad. Felix was taking all this better than you, merely on his phone while lying in bed.
“Maybe we should check things out, make sure Ji-”
“No, no, no.” Felix got up and grabbed your hands. “Y/n, the last thing you want to do is go anywhere near Jisung or the alphas. Everything’s going to be just fine.”
“But-”
“The alphas are trained for this, Jisung is in good hands. By staying here we are helping.”
“Trained for this… how does an alpha train to handle an omega in heat… that’s just ridiculous…”
“I mean, we’ll see for ourselves some day.”
“… right…”
Despite Felix’s words of assurance, you couldn’t shake the nerves. You asked him multiple times if he could hear anything, which he said he couldn’t and would rather not try. You didn’t sleep all night, and Felix only dozed off a bit, trying to make sure you didn’t do anything rash. It wasn’t until early morning that you heard someone outside the door, Hyunjin and Jeongin checking in.
“I thought you would have fallen asleep?” Hyunjin questioned.
“I tried.” Felix mumbled. “But you know…”
“Is Jisung okay!?” You jumped to your feet. “Can I see him!? Where is he!?”
“Easy, easy.” Jeongin chuckled. “Jisung is fine, and he’s been moved to an observation room for the time being. You won’t be able to see him for a while.”
“Observation room? What’s that? Why can’t-”
“It’s temporary. Jisung’s in a delicate headspace and needs to be closely monitored, which means no guests. Once he’s better he’ll be back and then you can ask him questions. Okay. I promise he’s fine.”
“When will he be back?”
“It takes a few days, and the timing depends on every omega.”
“… okay…”
Even though you weren’t satisfied with the answers given to you, there wasn’t much else you could do. You had no idea where Jisung was, or what you could do for him. Of course you asked about him everyday, and the answer was always the same. Jisung was fine and doing well, he would return soon. You didn’t want to be an anxious mess, but you hadn’t been away from Jisung in so long. You couldn’t help but worry about him despite what everyone told you. Not to mention this was making it difficult to focus in any of your classes. Instead you started to realize other omegas were absent from class too, and you couldn’t help but wonder if they were in the same predicament as Jisung.
“How can you be so calm?”
“I… well I trust the alphas not to hurt Jisung.” Felix admitted. “And they’re calm, so I’m calm…”
“Ah, right… your senses aren’t numbed up like me…”
You could be a light sleeper at times, and now was one of those moments. Every little sound at night made you think Jisung was back, but that wasn’t the case. The alphas told you that they’d let you know when he returned, but you were still waiting. Even if you didn’t sleep well, you were getting some sleep. It wasn’t enough to ease the alphas though.
“Y/n, can I talk to you.”
While you were trying to do an assignment Changbin knocked on your door. He stayed out in the hall, but he still wanted to talk. He didn’t look upset, and even if you couldn’t pick up on his pheromones you felt like you were in trouble. That was probably written on your face.
“Yeah… what is it?”
“You’re not in trouble for starters.”
“Oh, then what?”
“I need you to calm down.”
“Huh?”
“I know you’re just worried about Jisung, but your anxiousness is rubbing off on Felix. Not to mention you’re not sleeping well either.”
“… sorry…”
“You don’t need to apologize, it’s not your fault.”
“I just want to know what’s going on…”
“When Jisung gets back he can answer all your questions.”
“I know but-”
“You’re gonna make him worry about you, and if you keep this up you’re gonna freak out Felix. You know it’s bad given you’re on suppressants and still affecting him.”
“… oh… right… right… I just…”
“I know the idea isn’t your favorite, but I could help you with my pheromones.”
“No. No, I don’t-”
“Hear me out. I know the last time I did such a thing it wasn’t consensual, but this would be different. You’re on suppressants so to get the desired effect it would take a lot longer than normal, so we can go slow and at your pace.”
“I… I don’t know…”
“You won’t get overwhelmed, but if you don’t want to I am going to need you to at least take sleeping pills. You need rest.”
“Fine… we can try… the pheromones first…”
“Okay.”
You weren’t entirely sure what Changbin had in mind, but he wasn’t going to do anything in your room and mess up your safe space, again. So instead you went to the living room. He turned on the TV and let an old show play, asking you to sit next to him. You had brought your assignment, wanting to work on it, but you only managed a bit before giving up. You sat back on the couch, keeping close to Changbin but not too much. He hadn’t said anything the whole time, creating a calming atmosphere and letting you ease into it. The others were out for the time being, so there wasn’t anything to interrupt.
You focused on the show, getting a bit engrossed in that and unknowingly leaning against Changbin. Even though he had noticed he didn’t draw any attention to it. His intention was for this to be slow and gradual. He carefully moved his arm to wrap it around you, pulling you closer. You were starting to feel a bit tired, leaning against Changbin as you dozed off. Changbin slowly pulled you into his embrace, adjusting his position and letting you rest against his chest. A hand softly pet your head, soothing you and getting you to sleep. This was long overdue for you, and very necessary.
Come morning you woke up in your own bed, actually feeling well rested. It was surprising, but you also didn’t feel as anxious anymore. Still, you weren’t gonna be completely better until Jisung returned. The wait wasn’t long after that night with Changbin, and you felt such relief when you saw Jisung again. He returned to the dorm early one morning, and you immediately rushed to hug him. You were so happy to have him back, and of course you couldn’t help but berate him with questions about what happened and how he was doing. For everyone’s sake, the alphas let you and Felix catch up with Jisung.
“I’m just fine, I promise.”
“But what happened to you!? The alphas said you were in an observation room.”
“Yeah, I was, they just had to keep an eye on me as my memories came back to me.”
“So you really blacked out?” Felix questioned. “After the whole ordeal?”
“I mean… yeah, it was… intense… and the alphas were very nice.”
“Yeah I bet. Did all six of them-”
“No! No, let’s not talk about that.” You interrupted. “What matters is that you’re back, and you’re not gonna disappear again, are you?”
“There’s no reason for me to. I’m sorry I made you worry.”
“It’s not your fault. Something like that is out of your control.”
Things seemed to go back to normal now that Jisung was back, and you were very much at ease. You figured everything would be fine, but what happened with Jisung was only the beginning. One night you were up late doing some reading when you decided to get snacks. The dorm was quiet enough, so you snuck over to the kitchen. There you discovered you weren’t the only one up late, seeing Felix rummaging around the fridge. You chuckled and cautiously approached him, tapping his shoulder.
“You gonna share?”
“Sh! Only with you.”
The two of you giggled and grabbed something to munch on, sitting on the kitchen counter top. You didn’t need to talk, just enjoying the quiet of the night and your snacks. You wanted to get back to your book, but Felix caught you by surprise when he followed you, hugging you from behind. He nuzzled into your neck, tickling you.
“Felix, cut it out.”
“Don’t go, not yet.”
“It’s already late, we shouldn’t be up anyway.”
“But we are.”
You tried to get Felix to let go, but he wouldn’t budge. You figured maybe he was just sleepy and a little delusional so you started moving with him in tow, planning to take him to his bedroom. At one point he stopped and held you in place, whimpering.
“Felix, come on now.”
You tried again to get Felix to release you but his grip only got tighter. You groaned, grabbing at his hands and really forcing him off. You got free, but only for a moment before he pounced on you, pinning you to the ground with his body.
“Don’t be so mean.”
You tried to get Felix off of you and then your hands brushed against his face. You felt this warmth, cupping his cheeks and pressing your palm against his head. He was burning up, but you began to realize this wasn’t just a fever. You immediately began squirming and trying to break free, but Felix wasn’t letting you go.
“Help! Help! Chan! Minho!”
You knew this wasn’t Felix’s fault, but you shouldn’t be anywhere near him in this state. All you could really do was scream for help.
“Changbin! Seungmin! Someone! Help! Hyunjin! Jeongin! Please!”
You didn’t know who it was, but all of a sudden Felix was yanked off of you, another pair of hands pulling you back and getting you to your feet. You heard some scuffling, but didn’t get to see much before you were taken away. Next thing you knew you were in your room, Chan looking you over.
“Are you alright? He didn’t hurt you, did he?”
“… no… no, is Felix okay?”
“He will be, we’ll look after him.”
“… sorry… I didn’t mean to scare you…”
“You did the right thing. Now you stay here, okay?”
“I know… wait, what about-”
Before you could finish your question Hyunjin came in with a sleepy Jisung in tow. You pulled him over, having him lay down in bed.
“You two will be okay, right?” Chan questioned.
“Yeah…”
“Okay. Stay here, like last time. Someone will check in later.”
“I know.”
Even though you had been through this before, you were still worried. You hadn’t seen what Jisung was like before the alphas took him away, but seeing Felix. He didn’t do anything to you but you could only imagine what would happen down the line.
“Y/n, take it easy.” Jisung mumbled, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from his eyes. “Felix is gonna be just fine, he’s in good hands.”
“…”
“I was in his situation before, and now I’m here. You know he’s gonna be alright.”
“Yeah… you came back no problem… but what if-”
“No, no, no, no, none of that.” Jisung went to hug you. “Don’t think like that. This is just a normal part of being an omega, it’s okay.”
For a moment you felt at ease, processing Jisung’s words and then something dawned on you. Jisung was right, this was a normal part of being an omega, and given that Jisung had gone through this not so long ago, it meant you were surely next. You didn’t like that idea at all, holding on to Jisung tighter than before.
“Y/n, what’s wrong?”
“I don’t like this…”
“Maybe it’s just Felix’s lingering pheromones, how about a shower? Then we can get some rest.”
“Sure…”
You washed up with Jisung, the shower actually helping. Even if you were worried about your own future right now, you couldn’t get any answers until later. You focused on the present, deciding to try and sleep while everything else went on. You only managed to doze off here and there, getting some rest. Jisung slept through the night, but he would wake if you disturbed him too much. He kept you wrapped up in his arms, not wanting to lose track of you even while he was sleeping. Come morning there was a knock at the door, and you looked over to see Chan and Seungmin peeking in.
“Couldn’t sleep again?” Seungmin teased.
“I tried…” You mumbled. “And Felix?”
“He’ll be away for a few days.” Chan said. “He’s just fine.”
“Good… uh… I wanted to ask… uh…”
You felt a bit embarrassed to ask, so Chan gestured to talk elsewhere to let Jisung sleep. You carefully slipped out of bed and headed out to the living room. The other alphas weren’t around, but you were still nervous.
“Did something happen?” Seungmin asked. “You can tell us, we won’t be mad.”
“It’s not that… I just… Jisung and Felix… am I… gonna… you know…”
“Ah, you’re cute, but no. You shouldn’t be going into heat anytime soon. You’re on suppressants.”
“So as long as I take them, I’ll be fine?”
“Not necessarily.” Chan continued. “The suppressants will certainly delay your first, but it can’t prevent it. Not forever.”
“… is there anything… I can do…?”
“Omegas have heat cycles, it’s a natural thing. It’s gonna happen eventually, but honestly, I don’t think it will be anytime soon.”
“How do you know?”
“Cause you don’t trust us. You don’t feel completely safe around us and the stress of that means your body won’t put you in such a vulnerable state. You’ll get there in your own time.”
“… okay…”
Jisung stayed close while Felix was gone, feeling a greater imbalance in the dorm for the time being. You mostly stuck to your room, wanting to distract yourself until Felix was back. Also to not think about what Chan had told you. While at your desk doing homework you noticed a random scribble on one of your notebooks, seeing a phone number and name, Gunil. You suddenly remembered that when you got back from the party you had written down Gunil’s number before going to wash up. You had completely forgotten about it until now. The thought of texting him crossed your mind, but you weren’t sure it was a good idea given how much time had passed. Still, curiosity won out, so you send him a message.
“Hi… it’s y/n… sorry I didn’t text sooner.”
There wasn’t a response, and you figured he was probably busy with something. As you were about to put your phone down you felt it buzz.
“Hey, nice to hear from you. How you been?”
“Good, and you?”
“Same old stuff. Just working on this paper.”
“Oh, I don’t mean to interrupt.”
“You’re not. I need a break anyway. What are you up to?”
“Just some reading.”
“I’m kinda jealous you just get to learn and not take exams.”
“It has its perks, but also feels pointless to a degree.”
“Touché. You know, I have some free time later today, wanna meet up?”
“Sure.”
You thought things over for a moment, and you figured it wouldn’t hurt to see Gunil in person. Besides, there were some things you wanted to ask, and only he had the answers. Now the problem was going out. You never did that, so obviously the alphas were gonna ask questions when they saw you heading for the door.
“And where are you going?” Jeongin asked, walking over. “Your classes are done for the day.”
“I know. I’m just going to meet up with a friend…”
“A friend? Who?”
“I knew him back in high school and we recently reconnected… he gave me his number at that party…”
“Is he an alpha?”
“… yes…”
“Since when-”
“Let her go.” Minho cut in. “She wouldn’t be going out to meet with some alpha if she didn’t trust them, and she’s not lying either. You can hear her steady heartbeat.”
“Fine. You won’t be out late, right?”
“No, no, I’ll be back before sundown.”
“Good. Call us if you need anything.”
“Okay…”
You agreed to meet up with Gunil outside the library, wanting to be out in the open. When you arrived you saw him sitting on a bench browsing his phone. As you got closer he looked up, seeing you and smiling, getting up to meet you halfway.
“Hey, it’s good to see you.”
“Hi…”
“I’m glad you agreed to meet me. Why don’t we get something to eat and talk, no interruptions this time, right?”
“Yeah.”
There were a lot of places on campus that you hadn’t been to before. You knew of them, but the idea of going and potentially getting mobbed by alphas frightened you too much. Things were different now with the suppressants, and you weren’t alone. Gunil bought some snacks and drinks, the two of you finding a table to sit at.
“You got my favorite…”
“I was hoping that was still the case. I remember when I used to leave them on your desk with a note. I don’t think I ever saw you eat them.”
“Uh… well… I didn’t…”
“Didn’t want me to see?”
“… didn’t know…”
“Huh?”
“I never found any snacks on my desk…”
“Oh…”
“I would have thanked you… and probably told you it wasn’t necessary…”
“I see… I guess I should have kept a better eye on that.”
“Yeah… I’m sorry…”
“It’s not your fault.”
“I suppose… you know… after everyone switched classes… I didn’t see much of you anymore…”
“Did you miss me?”
“… I’m not sure I can answer that…”
“It’s okay. I know what you mean.” Gunil got silent for a moment. “Even though we weren’t in the same class anymore, I still saw you.”
“You did…?”
“Yeah. Out in the halls, always scurrying off and keeping your head down… I could tell something was different about you. Everything and everyone seemed to frighten you, and you avoided alphas as if they were the plague. You seemed stressed, and I didn’t want to add to that, so I waited. Yet you were always sad, so I kept my distance, for your sake.”
You had always wondered what happened to Gunil. You wouldn’t have been able to face him after the incident, but his sudden absence didn’t go unnoticed. All this time you thought he only paid attention to you cause you were in the same class, and now that you weren’t, he didn’t have time for you. It was a long time ago, but knowing the truth now was comforting.
“… thank you… for your kindness… back then… I really do appreciate it…”
“Y/n… I am sorry for what happened to you.”
“… what? Did you…”
“Only recently.” Gunil explained. “I heard about those that got expelled, the names were familiar, and I remembered what they were like back then… so I just put the pieces together… it was my fault… and I understand if you can’t bring yourself to face me after this but… I would still like to keep in contact, if that’s possible.”
“It’s not your fault. You didn’t do anything wrong.” You took a moment. “I’ve been… healing… slowly getting better… I dorm with some alphas… and they’re all pretty nice… even if they have their secrets…”
“I’m glad to hear that. There was certainly joy and life in your eyes when I saw you at the party, something I hadn’t seen in a long time.”
With the heavier side out in the open, the uncertainty between you two seemed to lessen. You found it easier to talk with him, and just be friends. In a way he helped you look back on your high school days in a more positive light. You had been stuck in one place for so long, and were only now shedding the past and living in the present. You did keep your promise to the others though, excusing yourself before sundown, telling Gunil you’d message him later. He was glad to see you smile, offering you a quick hug before letting you go. When you got back to the dorm you heard a lot of commotion, and a familiar voice.
“Felix!”
You ran to hug Felix tightly, glad to have him back. You didn’t even have to ask as he began to tell you that he was alright.
“It was a nice long vacation, but I’m back now, and I’m perfectly fine.”
“Good.”
“I am sorry about before…”
“I know it wasn’t your fault. It’s just good to have you back.”
You could finally feel at ease with everyone back, knowing there were no more surprises in store. Or at least, no one was gonna spontaneously leave. Although now that you weren’t worried about those two, you could finally sit down with everything else that had happened. You kept texting with Gunil, glad to have a friend, and he helped you see things a bit differently. In reality, he let you see things as they really were. When you were around the dorm you found yourself staring at the alphas. You knew them more than any other alpha. You had seen the good and bad from them, but you knew that at their core they wanted to do good. Jisung and Felix never had any reason to be weary of them and liked them from the start. Perhaps if things had been different you’d feel the same.
You knew more than you should and it changed your view of many things. There were serious consequences for alphas who did not do well, and you didn’t want anyone to suffer in such a way. You wanted to do better, to get better, but you knew that was still a work in progress. As long as you were open to the idea, things should work out. Still, you weren’t quite ready to talk to the alphas, but you still wanted to do good. For the moment you’d just stick to what you did best, knowing you’d get there at your own pace. One day as you were doing some reading you were starting to get frustrated, getting hot. Perhaps you needed a break so you went to take a shower. The cool water felt so refreshing, yet after a moment you realized it wasn’t helping.
“Y/n.”
You jumped a bit when you heard Jisung calling your name, knocking on your door. You didn’t want to see anyone at the moment, so you called out from the shower, saying you were busy. You thought he left but then heard another knock on your bathroom door.
“Y/n, are you okay?”
“I’m fine…”
“Are you sure? You don’t sound-”
“Go away!”
You felt bad for yelling, but you hoped he’d take the message. It had the opposite effect as Jisung entered the bathroom. You screamed when he pulled back the shower curtain, covering yourself. Jisung apologized but still reached over to grab you, pulling you closer and pressing his palm against your head. You shook him off, telling him to leave again, but he didn’t move.
“Y/n… you’re kinda burning up…”
“I’m fine, now get out!”
“You know… you’re likely going into heat…”
“I’m not!”
“The alphas are gonna notice eventually, and you’re gonna get worse.”
“It’s not that, now go!”
Jisung decided to do as you asked this time, leaving you alone, but he put the idea in your head, and now you were starting to panic. You sat down in the tub, hugging your legs to your chest and just telling yourself it wasn’t true. It was probably just some fever or something and you’d be fine. You just needed to get some medicine, but you didn’t feel like moving. You hadn’t felt any better since Jisung called you out, and you were scared if he was right.
“Y/n…” You heard Chan’s voice knocking outside your room. “Are you alright? Jisung-”
“I’m fine! Don’t come in here!”
“I won’t, I promise, but are you-”
“Go away!”
Chan honored your wish, but he wasn’t happy. After talking to you Jisung ran to him, and he could catch your faint scent on him, and he knew what was going on immediately. He knew you wouldn’t just let him in, let him help, but he couldn’t just let you suffer. It wasn’t long before the others realized what was going on, wondering what to do.
“She can’t be alone.” Changbin said. “We need to do something.”
“I know, but this is still a delicate situation.” Chan stated. “We can’t just barge in, even if she’d forgive us in the end. This is an important time for her, we shouldn’t mess it up.”
“Then what are we going to do?” Hyunjin asked. “It’s only gonna get worse the longer she keeps to herself.”
“Which is why she won’t be.”
“She won’t…? Wait, are you suggesting Jisung and Felix help her?”
“Yes.”
“Are you nuts?” Seungmin snapped. “Her pheromones are gonna trigger them, then we’re gonna have three omegas in heat.”
“It will help her though.” Minho added. “And that’s the priority here. I think we can handle three omegas. Only one of them would be going through their first.”
“It honestly sounds kinda fun.” Jeongin chuckled. “But are we sure we can deal with this? Y/n’s going through her first, she needs the most care and attention. If we have to worry about Jisung and Felix too, things are gonna get complicated.”
“It will help though…” Jisung mumbled, making his and Felix’s presence known, the pair having been eavesdropping. “Right?”
“She needs to feel safe and be in a good state so she accepts our help.” Chan explained. “If you can help her with that, it would be very good for her.”
“We’ll do it.” Felix confirmed. “We can help.”
♥♥♥♥♥
You wanted the cold water to help you feel better, but it wasn’t. You were scared, having no idea what was supposed to happen. Reading books and being told about it was all just theory, and everyone had a different experience. While lost in your own head you heard knocking, looking up in a panic only to see Jisung and Felix. They knelt down by the tub, Jisung reaching for your hands.
“Hey… you can’t stay like this… the water won’t help.”
“Just leave…”
“We’re not gonna do that.” Felix said. “We’re gonna help you.”
The two helped you get out of the tub, shutting off the water and wrapping you in a towel. They dried you up a bit, but without the water you were starting to feel worse. The heat in your body was spreading, making you anxious. This didn’t feel like a normal fever, and it was hard to deny what this really was.
“You two… shouldn’t be here…”
“We know.” Jisung admitted. “But we can’t just leave you alone. The alphas don’t just want to help unless you’re okay with it.”
“I don’t want them to… help…”
“It hurts, doesn’t it?” Felix wondered. “It’s gonna get worse. They can help, trust me they really do, and-”
“No… no, I’ll be fine…”
“You’re gonna change your mind.”
“I… I won’t…”

A classic, old stand by. Mike and El consistently kiss and have romantic moments at night.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And their platonic
Tumblr media
Or negative moments are in the morning
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whereas Mike and Will consistently have positive or romantic moments in the morning
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With their only night ones being either negative for their relationship or goodbyes/something final (knowing or unknowing)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also shoutout to the shed scene which I just realized is done at night despite being romantic because it is their last moment like that before El gets back!
Also makes me wonder about the ily2 scene, which takes place in the morning, and if that is, rather, emphasizing the fact that it's the first scene in the plotline of Mike's inability to say he loves her. That would make sense as, though it's played as romantic, we now know that it is starting a big plotline for the following season.
(If you're confused, mornings = new beginnings, night = endings is one of the oldest tricks in the book. So mornings is what will be their future and nights is what is/needs to come to a close. It's near universal, if not universal)
A great, direct example of this is also simply Mike saying goodbye to El at night and then staying up at the hospital to say hello to Will in the morning in 1x08. Establishes this really clearly for the audience.
Also, of course, can't talk about lighting without bringing up...
Tumblr media
In general, seasons are typically ended in the morning with hints and lead-ins to the future seasons - with Mike, this is consistently El. The one time it ends with El, the season ends at night.

mr spices and mr wines. also mr candles and mr veils.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
have you ever seen that one tumblr post that's like. "i don't ship these characters i just think they belong in couples therapy together". yeah. that's pretty much my stance on most spacebat ships
#the hearts on the veils/candles bingo are broken bc. well. yknow#ask#i do have slightly different outlooks on both of them#spwines is basically just canon to me in a divorced way. like. i dont think they're romantic. but i Do think they're infinitely divorced#the spwines divorce is extremely real#soulmates that will find each other in every universe type shit. except the soulmates is being Exes™ in every universe#their constant bickering is amusing and im delighted everytime they show up together bc without fail they argue. and it's enrichment for me#i just know the scoundrel is involving herself in the spwines divorce war on the side of mr wines#(she really needs better things to do with her time)#fallen london#veils/candles on the other hand i dont really actively ship? i think it's an intriguing prospect#i like seeing interpretations of their dynamic#but i dont think they necessarily ever had a relationship like that. and if they ever did. well. it's a bit fucked up now isnt it#the tragedy of candles is definitely a lot more tragic if you interpret him and veils as being Close. but i think of it as extra spice#on top of an already delicious dish#yknow?#that being said. they're kind of on the same Extreme Divorced wavelength as spwines. albeit obviously in a VERY different way#i think the most karmically fitting fate for veils is being tormented by its sins (particularly towards candles) for all eternity#and like. that's a ship. in a way. of a sort.#veils alone with the corpse it lovingly handcrafted and left to rot at the bottom of a well#it's the classic disney villain ending where the antagonist gets literally dragged away and punished by their victims#which is all to say#that one bag a legend text where veils is speaking to someone you cant see and it's Afraid. that's delicious#i love it being tormented like that and we all should hold candles over its head forever and ever
