blind date (part ii) - shigaraki x reader
After endless failed attempts to help Tomura up his game, his friends have settled on their last resort: A blind date. Even before you show up, it's not going well. No quirks AU, female reader.
Part 1
Part 2
“No.”
“Yes,” you say. You look sort of embarrassed. “Eight times.”
“No way.” Tomura studies you across the table. His eyes feel blurry with exhaustion and alcohol, but he’d prop his eyelids open with toothpicks before he’d let you think he was falling asleep. “I don’t buy it. Two, maybe. Not eight.”
“Why would I lie about this?” You take a sip of a drink. It might be yours, or it might be Tomura’s. There are so many mostly-empty glasses on the table between the two of you that Tomura’s forgotten which ones he ordered. “If anything, I’d lie the other way. Being stood up for eight first dates isn’t exactly a good sign.”
Tomura finds another drink, finishes it, and gives his verdict. “It’s a sign you met eight stupid guys.”
“I don’t think that’s it,” you say. “If it was one person, or two – but eight? At that point it’s more likely that I’m the problem.”
Tomura doesn’t think so. Tomura’s been talking to you for a while. Probably hours. He lost track of time at some point, probably around when he lost track of which drinks were his and which were yours, and there’s nothing about you that looks like a problem to him. Except the fact that nobody else is dating you, and that looks more like a crazy stroke of luck for Tomura than anything else.
Tomura might not be good at this shit, but he’s not naïve. He keeps checking in with himself, trying to make sure his interest in you isn’t just because you’re a woman who’s talked to him for longer than five minutes without looking at your phone. He hasn’t seen you take your phone out except once, and that was to put it on silent. Which was – hot isn’t right, but Tomura doesn’t really have a better word, except nice, which isn’t right, either. It’s not just because you’re a woman who talked to him or held his hand or ran to meet him even though you were late. He likes a lot of other things about you, too.
He likes that you showed up looking the way you actually look most of the time, instead of dressing up like Magne told you to. He likes that you don’t try to pretend to be something you’re not. When Tomura started talking about video games, you didn’t act like you knew something about them – just like he didn’t pretend he knew something when you started talking about horror movies or novels or manga. You’re funny, but not on purpose. Or at least that’s what Tomura thought, until he glanced at your face after you’d said something that made him laugh and realized that it was what you’d been hoping to do.
“Sorry,” you say, and Tomura snaps out of it. “Talking about past dates on a first date is kind of a red flag, isn’t it?”
“I asked,” Tomura says, wondering if you called this a first date because you’re hoping for a second one. You shrug. “If you’ve met that many shitty guys, how come you agreed to this? What did Magne tell you about me?”
“What did she tell me.” You finish one of the drinks and grimace slightly. “Um, she said you were my age.”
“Okay.”
“She said you have a job,” you continue, “and friends.”
“Yeah,” Tomura agrees. “We have an apartment. We were friends before we had the apartment. It’s not just because we have an apartment.”
“Magne said you’ve all known each other forever,” you say. You smile slightly. “It sounds nice.”
It’s a good thing Tomura’s known them forever. He hasn’t had a lot of luck making friends as an adult. The closest he’s come to making a friend as an adult is probably Dabi’s stupid fiancé, and that’s only because he never leaves. Toga keeps saying that she thinks he’ll like her girlfriend, but she also never lets her girlfriend within a kilometer of the apartment. One time Tomura asked her why not and Toga gave him the weirdest look he’s ever seen. “You’re all boys,” she said. “You’re gross.”
Maybe that’s true. Tomura’s never been in a woman’s apartment, so he doesn’t really have a way to confirm. How gross could it be, really? He should probably ask Toga for specifics. “Did Magne say anything else?”
“She said online dating and the apps weren’t really working for you,” you say. “You do better in person. I don’t know what you’re like online, but – I feel like she was probably right.”
Tomura’s face flushes. He finishes another drink to cover it up. “Your turn,” you say. “What did Magne tell you about me?”
“Uh,” Tomura starts. He finds another drink, but can’t quite stomach finishing it just yet. He’s already about to screw this up, and it’s going to be worse if he throws up on you afterwards. “Not much. Just that you were a girl and you were my age and that you agreed to it.”
You laugh at that. “That’s the important stuff,” you say. “She did a good job managing your expectations.”
“No,” Tomura says. You blink. “She should have told me more.”
“She doesn’t really know more,” you say. “I only see her at work. She got my number so I could tell her when I’m on shift and my boss is off.”
“What’s your boss’s deal, anyway?” Tomura asks. “Just an all-purpose asshole, or –”
“He’s not great to us. The employees, I mean.” You don’t like talking about this. Tomura can tell. “But he makes things really hard on customers who have certain prescriptions. HRT and stuff like that. He doesn’t do anything they can report him for, but he makes it so miserable for them that they don’t want to come in to pick their meds up.”
Tomura knows that type. Magne runs into that type a lot. If it happens when all of them are out together, Tomura and the others take care of it, but they can’t be there every second. “A few people have my number,” you continue. “I give them a heads-up when their prescriptions are in and he’s out.”
“Why didn’t she tell me that?”
“She did,” you say. Tomura meant before, and says so. “Maybe she thought you’d think I was too nice.”
Tomura snorts. “That guy who tried to cut us in line didn’t think you were too nice.”
If he’d been by himself, Tomura would have let it slide just because he doesn’t care enough, but you blocked the guy’s way with your arms crossed, and when he told you to move, you stared at him until he backed off. “Okay, so not too nice,” you say. You pick up another glass, see it’s empty, and wince. “But if she’d told you more about me, you’d have found a reason not to show up.”
“If she’d told you more about me, you’d have said no.” Tomura feels pretty confident in that, and more so with however many drinks under his belt. “She told you I was bad at app dating.”
“Lots of people are.”
“So bad at it that I’ve never been on a date.” Tomura feels pretty good about one-upping you right up until he sees your eyes widen, but his mouth is way ahead of his brain. “Beat that.”
It’s quiet for a second. Tomura stares at you, feeling his face heat up with embarrassment, while you peer into glass after glass, trying to find one that hasn’t been emptied yet. “I don’t know,” you say. “I think being stood up eight times is worse.”
“No, it isn’t.”
“My record is terrible,” you say. You find one more glass and drain it. “Your record, on the other hand – you’re one for one. I’d say that’s pretty good.”
“One for one on what?” Tomura asks.
“Dates,” you say. “This one’s going well.”
“Yeah?” Tomura’s mouth goes dry. He looks around for a glass with something in it, so that he’ll be able to speak without swallowing his tongue, but he comes up empty. You slide your water glass across the table to him and Tomura gulps half of it. “You think it’s going well?”
You looked pretty calm until he said that. Tomura sees you getting nervous. He slides the glass of water back across the table to you in case you want to drink it, but you leave it alone. “I mean,” you start, “we met up at five-forty-five, and it’s almost last call. Maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t spend eight hours hanging out with somebody if it wasn’t going well.”
“Last call?” Tomura says, like a dumbass, only for the bartender to shout it out to the room at large a few seconds later. “Eight hours? Really?”
You nod. “So either it’s going well,” you say, “or you just didn’t have anything better to do.”
If Tomura doesn’t want to be somewhere, he goes home even if there’s nothing better to do. He’d rather spend hours watching the most boring vintage simulation game streams in history than spend two seconds longer being social than he wants to. Eight hours hanging out with one person is a record, even once Tomura subtracts the bathroom breaks he had to take because he was dumb enough to break the seal four drinks in. Has he ever spent eight hours doing nothing but talking with someone without getting bored? No. Not even close.
“It’s going well,” he says, and you look relieved. Not happy, just relieved. That’s – not good. “They’re kicking us out now.”
“Yeah.” You get to your feet and stagger a little bit. You probably drank at least as much as Tomura did, but you’re shorter than him, and you’re a woman. Are you okay? “I’m going to go pay. We should figure out rides home. The trains don’t run this late.”
Tomura fucked up somehow. He can’t figure out how, but he’s pretty sure he did. But you’re still about to get kicked out, and somebody has to pay the tab – and somebody has to figure out how you two are getting home. He gets to his feet, too. “I’ll get it. It can’t be that much.”
You look back at all the glasses on the table. “I think it’s going to be a lot. We’ll split.”
Even with the split, it’s more than Tomura’s spent on a night out, ever – and the longer he spends upright, the clearer it is that he’s trashed. You’re trashed, too. Maybe less than he is, because you’re still trying to work out how to get home. “It’ll be cheaper if we split a rideshare,” you say, and hold out your phone. “Put in your address.”
Tomura forgets his own address for a second. Then he types it in, and you take your phone back. “Okay. It’ll drop you off first, then me. Let’s go.”
Tomura follows you out, only weaving a little bit, and then the two of you are on the sidewalk again. The air’s still warm and humid, but at least there’s more of a breeze than there was before. You lean against the boardwalk railing and Tomura copies you. He leaves one hand open at his side in case you want to reach for it. You don’t, so Tomura goes for yours instead, and you look up at him. “Tomura?”
“It’s going well,” Tomura says. Your eyes slide away from his, and he asks a question that’s been on his mind since an hour or so in. “Want to do it again?”
“Stay out until two am on a work night and blow five times my hourly rate on drinks?” You shake your head. “Go on another date? Yeah.”
Tomura hears all of that in the right order, except the thing in the middle that he actually asked about. “It’s a work night?”
“For you, too. You said earlier.” Your hand moves in Tomura’s, unfolding your fingers to lace them together with his. “We should have called it quits four hours ago.”
“Yeah, well, I didn’t want to.” Tomura shouldn’t have had this much to drink. He’s saying stuff he probably shouldn’t. Or should he? He doesn’t see the point in lying about shit on a regular basis. Why start now? “I still don’t.”
Next to Tomura, you take a deep breath, then let it go. “Okay. Give me your phone.”
Tomura fishes it out of his pocket with his free hand and passes it to you, then has to take it back to unlock it. He watches as you navigate to his contacts and add yourself to them – your first name, plus the words “blind date”, like Tomura’s going to forget who you are. How many women do you think he has in his phone? You hand it back to him after saving your contact and Tomura waits for you to hand yours over so he can add his number to yours. You don’t. “I need your phone. You need my number.”
“If you text me, then I’ll have it,” you say. “If you don’t, I won’t need it.”
Tomura feels weird about that. “Is this some kind of test?”
“I’ve gotten stood up eight times. I’m done chasing after people who don’t want me.” You loosen your grip on Tomura’s hand, like you’re giving him the chance to let go. “I ran sixteen blocks to meet you. You can send me a text.”
Tomura can see where you’re coming from. Sort of. The rideshare shows up, and the two of you slide into the backseat. Going from standing up to sitting down gives Tomura some kind of drunken headrush, and he slumps sideways against you. “Sorry –”
“It’s fine.” You shift around in your seat until Tomura’s cheek is resting on your shoulder. You’re still holding his hand. “I don’t mind.”
Tomura doesn’t mean to fall asleep, but the next thing he knows, the rideshare’s coming to a stop outside his apartment building and you’re shaking him awake with the hand that was holding his. “We’re here,” you say. “It was nice to meet you, okay? I had a really good night.”
Tomura nods. His mouth tastes like something died in it, and his mind feels foggy, but not so foggy that he can’t figure out how he wants to say goodbye. Maybe you know. “What do we do?”
“How about a hug?”
Sounds good. Tomura’s mouth tastes too bad for kissing, anyway, and his lips are gross enough to make you wish you’d never met him. He reaches out and drags you awkwardly across the backseat and into his arms, and you – fit. Tomura normally hates touching people, and he hates it even more when he’s drunk, but you fit, still and quiet with your head tucked in against his shoulder and your eyelashes brushing the side of his neck when you blink. Tomura could go back to sleep like this, easy. He’s having a hard time keeping his eyes open.
“Hey,” the driver says from the front seat. “Are you staying or going?”
“Are you in a big hurry or something?” Tomura pulls away from you with an effort and gets out of the car. The door shuts behind him, and Tomura turns to say goodbye, but he’s too slow. All he gets is a glimpse of your face through the window as the rideshare drives away.
Tomura should text you right now. The thought occurs to him, but then a mosquito bites him, and he slaps it a second too late. He’ll get inside the stupid building and get to his room, and then he can text you. It’s a good plan. Whether Tomura will remember it by the time he gets to the apartment is an entirely different story.
Tomura and his friends live on the top floor. The entire top floor. It used to be a penthouse, back when both the building and the neighborhood weren’t shit, but now the rent is cheap enough that the seven of them can afford it together. They all get their own rooms, three bathrooms is usually enough for everybody, and usually there’s at least one person who’s willing to cook dinner and let the rest of them mooch. Tomura and his roommates all keep weird hours, but by two-thirty in the morning everybody’s usually in their rooms, even if they’re awake. He’s not going to bother anybody as long as he’s quiet.
Or at least that’s what Tomura thinks. He’s dead wrong, because when the elevator doors open, he finds all the lights on in the living room, and most of the people he lives with sitting in there, wide awake. It looks like they’re waiting for something. It occurs to Tomura with slowly dawning horror that they’re waiting for him.
He makes the first move out of shock more than anything else. “What the fuck?”
“We decided to wait up for you. Since it’s baby’s first date and all,” Dabi says with a smirk. His stupid fiancé is here, too, perched on the arm of the chair Dabi’s in. “So how’d it go?”
Tomura doesn’t want to talk about this when he’s drunk. He wouldn’t want to talk to Dabi about it stone sober. He shakes his head. “Come on,” Twice announces from where he’s sprawled out on the rug next to Toga. “Nobody comes back from a date at three in the morning and gets to shake his head about it. Spill. No, don’t spill! I don’t want any nasty details.”
“I want all the nasty details,” Magne says. “What happened?”
“Perhaps we shouldn’t quiz him,” Sako says from the other chair. “Shigaraki will tell us what he wants to, when he wants to.”
Sako is officially the only person Tomura’s not pissed at right now. “No, he has to tell us now,” Toga says. “We’ve all been working on this for a month. We have to hear how it went!”
“Give us at least a few details,” Dabi’s idiot fiancé says. “We need something to base our wild speculations on.”
“You don’t live here,” Tomura says. Dabi glares at him. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Wait, it was bad?” Spinner runs the opposite way with it. “Why didn’t you just come back? Or you could have called us – we’d come drink with you –”
“It wasn’t bad,” Tomura snaps. “I got her number.”
He was hoping that would shut everybody up. Instead they all trade glances. “That’s it?” Dabi asks, incredulous. “You get back an hour after last call and all you got was her number?”
That’s not all Tomura got. “She said we should go out again. And we held hands.”
“Are you thirteen or something? That’s so lame,” Dabi’s idiot fiancé says. “Was she like, not –”
“She’s not that kind of girl,” Magne says. She reaches over from the couch to punch Dabi in the arm, even though it was the goddamn fiancé who said it. “You think I’d set Shigaraki up with that kind of girl?”
“Yeah, because that’s the kind of girl he’ll be dealing with in Vegas. Did you time-warp back to the fifties when I wasn’t looking?” Dabi grimaces. “You’re supposed to be upping your game. This is a setback.”
Tomura finally gets his feet under him. “No, it isn’t,” he says. “I had fun.”
He feels weird saying it, even though it’s true. He had fun walking around with you trying to find a bar you both wouldn’t hate, because both of you hate when things get too loud. He had fun talking about any of the fifty things the two of you talked about over the course of the eight hours you spent together. He liked seeing you square off with the asshole who tried to cut you both in line and he liked seeing you order the weirdest drink on the menu, even though it was disgusting and neither of you could finish it. He liked that he didn’t notice you trying to make him laugh until it already happened. He liked holding your hand.
Tomura had fun on his date, end sentence. “You guys are assholes. I’m going to bed.”
“We’re not assholes! We want to help,” Twice protests. “You don’t need our help! You’re doing fine.”
“Yeah, I’m with Twice,” Spinner says. Twice starts arguing with him, but Spinner ignores it. “It’s a win if you say it’s a win. Hanging out with somebody who’s not us for that long is definitely a win.”
“It’s not a game,” Toga says. She rolls over on her back and stares up at Tomura. “Are you going to text her?”
Right. Tomura was going to do that. He fumbles his phone out of his pocket. “No,” Dabi and his fucking fiancé say at the same time. Dabi keeps talking. “It hasn’t even been an hour. Are you trying to look desperate?”
“I texted Ochako while I was on the train home from our first date,” Toga says. Toga’s the only one other than Dabi who’s in an actual relationship, rather than a bunch of situationships, friends-with-benefits things, and hookups they block the next day. “I wasn’t desperate.”
“You’re the most desperate person I’ve ever met. But you’re a girl, so it’s cute on you,” Magne says. “It’s not cute on guys. It’s weird.”
“I don’t think it is,” Spinner says. Tomura adds Spinner and Toga to the list of people he doesn’t hate right now. “Sending a dick pic or begging for nudes would be desperate. Just saying something is – nice. I’ve never had a date text me the same night before. I wouldn’t mind.”
“In that case, your date would be a girl,” Magne points out. “Cute when girls do it. Weird when guys do. I’d know.”
Tomura lost the plot a few sentences back. “I wasn’t going to send a dick pic. I don’t even have a dick pic.”
Dabi’s fiancé wheezes. “What?”
“Okay, that’s enough!” Toga pops up off the floor. “Tomura-kun has work tomorrow and so do I – and so does Spinner – so we’re all going to go to bed.”
“We are?” Spinner asks, then yelps as Toga yanks him off the couch. “Hey!”
“That’s right,” Toga sings out. She grabs Tomura’s arm, too, and Tomura barely manages to avoid getting yanked off his feet. He stumbles down the hall after her, colliding with Spinner a few times. It’s all he can do to keep ahold of his phone.
Toga’s bedroom, Spinner’s, and Tomura’s are all along the same hallway, sharing the same bathroom. Once they’re in the hallway, Tomura plants his feet. “Why are you kidnapping me?”
“We’re not kidnapping you. Your room is right there.” Toga points, like there was any way Tomura was going to forget. He’s drunk, but not that drunk. “They were being mean. I’m happy for you. So is Spinner. Right, Spinner?”
“Like I said. A win’s a win.”
“It’s not a game.” Toga elbows him. Then she looks at Tomura. “They’re making it sound complicated and it’s not. If you like her, text her. If you don’t, don’t. Easy. Now go to bed.”
It’s not a puzzle game. It’s a yes or no question. Tomura likes that a lot better than whatever the hell the others wanted him to do. Still – “Do I need a dick pic?”
It’s quiet for at least a minute. “You know what,” Spinner says finally, “we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. I’m with Toga. Go to bed before you get yourself in trouble.”
Tomura’s tempted to tell them both that he’s doing it because he wants to, not because they’re telling him to, but then he decides not to waste the air. The sooner he goes to his room, the sooner he can send you a message without everyone bothering him about it. He shuffles back to his room, flops down on the bed – which he didn’t make this morning, because he’s just going to get back in it later – and pulls out his phone. When he taps the contact icon, the first thing he sees is the contact you set for yourself.
Your name (blind date). Tomura opens a message and gets stuck trying to think of what to say. Short is probably better. His mind is off on some weird paths right now, a lot of which have to do with you and his dick and all of which would be a lot more of a problem if he wasn’t still drunk. And none of which you need to know about. You also don’t need to know about the ambush his friends set up for him when he got home. Or the fact that Tomura’s friends only sent him on this date so he could get better at women before the trip to Vegas in two months.
That might have been why Magne set you and Tomura up, but that’s not why Tomura’s texting you. this is tomura. i want a second date. That gets the point across for sure. If you texted Tomura that he’d count it as a win, so he sends it. But Toga said it’s not a game. Spinner said it would be nice to get a text from a date. What would Tomura want you to say, if he got a text from you?
Tomura overthinks it. He overthinks it so hard that he falls asleep, and only wakes up when he drops his phone on his face. You haven’t texted back yet, but it’s only been fifteen minutes since he sent the message, and you’re probably asleep. What kind of text would Tomura want to see from you when he woke up in the morning? That you liked him. That you had fun. Maybe you’d say something funny, too. Tomura doesn’t do funny. He almost falls back asleep again, then hauls himself up to wakefulness hand over hand, sitting up in the bargain. One more message. It should be easy.
sorry I fell asleep on you is what Tomura says. He barely manages to plug in his phone before he falls asleep for good.
He wakes up to his alarm howling, right on schedule. He can hear Spinner’s alarm doing the same thing from across the hall. Tomura’s mouth tastes like he threw up in it in his sleep. He fumbles for his phone to hit snooze on the alarm, but in the split second before he does, he sees a text notification. Everybody he texts has been asleep for the last – Tomura looks at the time and groans – four hours. So who –
Tomura unlocks his phone at warp speed and taps the message icon. He remembers texting you last night, but he didn’t remember how stupid he sounded. Sorry he fell asleep on you? You’re probably texting him to fuck off. Tomura glances down at your message. His head hurts badly enough that he has to read it five or six times to process it all the way.
You gave his first text a thumbs-up, then asked what he wants to do on the second date. But you replied directly to his stupid second message. it’s okay. next time it’s my turn.
Tomura’s lips split as an uncontrollable grin crosses his face. He got four hours of sleep. He’s got a full day of work and a hangover to go with it, and the instant he sets foot in the living room, his friends are going to start up on him about how he’s handling this all wrong. But Tomura must not be handling it all that badly, because he’s got a second date, and for a few seconds, the hangover and work and everything else doesn’t matter at all.

Stan Says Goodbye
I have never posted to tumblr someone pls tell me if it is abnormal to post a text this long.
Word count: 1764
____________________________________________________________
“Stanford, you can’t keep hiding away in that cabin forever. Ma’s memory is fading and she’s not going to be around for much longer. Don’t you want to say goodbye?”
Shermie had left a million messages on the Shack’s phone. Each one a mirroring plea of the last call, begging Ford to come see their mother before she passed.
But it was Stan listening to these messages, not Ford. He had no right to go see her.
The last time he had seen his ma, he had been hiding behind a curtain and a pillar at his own funeral. He nearly blew his cover when he saw her. Her hair was greying, and she was standing a little less tall than she used to, but it was her nonetheless. Those warm eyes that used to come down to level with him and the smile she would give him when she called him her special boy — all of that was the same.
He didn’t think his mother would show up, not after ten years. He knew she had no way of knowing where he was, but he thought she felt the same way everyone else did. That he was the fuck-up of the family. The no-good son that ruined their one chance of having a better life. Who could think anything else?
And now he had pushed her other son into a portal, forsaking him to some unknown world without knowing if he was alive or not. He couldn’t face her until he brought Ford back.
He had to watch as she cried over his casket and it damn near killed him the way it broke his heart.
But he had promised that day that he would bring Ford back soon and drag him along to ma’s house to show her that he was alive, and Ford was alive, and that they got along… Just like in the old days. They would sit in the kitchen and finally have tea with her — maybe even let her read their tea leaves once they were done. He would have saved Ford’s life and the family would gather again. For the first time in years, he wouldn’t be the fuck-up; he’d be his mother’s free-spirited Stanley.
Things didn’t quite work out that way for Stan. As they usually didn’t.
After 25 years he still hadn’t succeeded in bringing Ford back. After 25 years of sleepless nights and lonely desperation, he had nothing to offer to his ma in reconciliation.
Now he was sitting on his couch pressing through message after message from Shermie begging him to come see her one last time.
“Whaddya want me to do Shermie…” Stan muttered, folding forward to put his head in his hands.
Did he want him to lie to his own mother on her deathbed? Or to tell her that her other son was most likely dead and gone somewhere they’d never even find his body?
Stan wondered if Ford would have even gone to see her. The way he was the last time Stan had seen him, it was like the last thing Ford wanted was to see anybody.
The phone rang again and Stan let it ring. The answering machine beeped and Shermie’s tinny voice came through the speaker.
“Stanford I’ll be away from the city tomorrow to get a few things in order for ma’s funeral… You’ll get a break from my calls at least,” Shermie paused for a long while, and Stan thought that maybe that was the end of this call until he said, “She keeps saying your name, you know. Yours and Stanley’s… She‘s waiting for you,” he sighed. After a beat of silence, Stan heard the click of the phone hanging up.
He couldn’t sleep that night.
Stan watched the shadows of the pine trees dancing across his ceiling. What did his father used to say about the men in the Pines family?
He closed his eyes and listened to the wind outside his window. He could almost hear the sound of gulls and the crashing waves of Glass Shard Beach. He could picture Ford, red from being sat in the sun all day scribbling away the plans for their boat.
That Ford would want him to say goodbye to ma.
In his memory, Ford smiled up at him as he ran over and they raced towards the waves, letting them pull out their little bodies to the water.
Stan finally fell asleep.
The next morning he closed up the shop, and put on his cleanest suit. He wore Ford’s glasses, and found some six-fingered gloves lying around to slip on. Nothing fit quite right. The glasses were a little too loose, and Ford’s jacket was a little snug around the arms.
Looking up in the mirror, he looked like his brother.
When he got in the car he sat there for a long while. Not having the courage to turn on the ignition until the sun came at just the right angle to blind him. He finally began the car and started driving.
What would he say to ma? What would Ford say? Probably something smart, and then he’d invent the machine that would save her life.
That damn know-it-all, showing him up even in his own damn mind. If it weren’t for Ford trying to send him away 25 years ago, maybe they would have made up. Maybe they would have taken ma in when she started feeling unwell.
Maybe Stan wouldn’t have to say goodbye to ma alone.
Damn it. Was he crying?
He wiped at his eyes with his sleeves, steeling his nerves so he could drive straight.
He picked up some flowers at a shop down the street from the home she was in, and he checked into the home using Stanford’s name. Stan stood in front of her door for a long time, listening to see if anyone else was in the room. The silence was almost worse. He had no excuse to turn tail and run. He had to go in there and say goodbye to his mother.
He knocked, a quick three raps.
“Who is it?” His mother’s voice asked, as strong as ever.
Stan smiled and opened the door. “It’s me ma, Stanford!”
“Stanford?” She looked up at him from her spot on the bed, her eyes narrowed like she couldn’t see him quite right. “Sit down over here so I can get a good look atcha.”
Stan set the flowers on her bedside and settled into the seat next to her. She was wrinkled and all grey now, but her brown eyes were still the same.
“How have you been doing, ma? Shermie’s left me a million messages saying you’re on death’s door!”
She smiled. “That Shermie can be even more of a nuisance than you are, Stanley.”
Stan froze for a single second before smiling. “Ma you’ve got the wrong twin. It’s me, Stanford.”
She reached a shaky hand to pat his. “Stanley you think I wouldn’t recognize my own boy?” She smiled. “You must think so little of your old ma.”
He took a deep breath to compose himself. Her memory isn’t right, that’s what Shermie said. She’s just misremembering.
“Ma Stan passed away twenty five years ago, remember?”
It took everything in him not to choke on his words.
“And Stanford didn’t show up at all?” She asked, raising an eyebrow. “You can’t scam your old mother, Stanley, I taught you everything you know. Stanford would show up at your funeral. That boy isn’t as cold as he thinks he is.”
He couldn’t answer.
His mother pat his hand. “Oh, there, there, sweetie.”
It took him a second to realize she was comforting him because his vision had begun to blur. He felt the damp trail of tears on his cheeks as he took in a shaky breath.
She tugged on his hand lightly so he would lean in, and he did. She put her arm around his shoulder as best as she could and gave him a weak squeeze. “Whatever fight you and Stanford have going on now, you’ll figure it out, sweetie. Ya always do...”
Stan tried to stop himself from shaking so hard in his mother’s embrace but he knew he was failing. He held on a little tighter to his mother’s hand.
“My sweet Stanley… You’ll figure it out.”
“Ma what if he doesn’t come back?” Stan asked shakily.
“Your brother is stubborn as a bull, he’ll come back just to prove you wrong.”
Stan laughed at that and pulled away a little, to look into her eyes again.
He missed her. So much.
“Your breath is awful,” she said, grimacing. “Did I not teach you to brush your teeth?”
Stan burst out laughing. “You don’t even have any teeth left, ma.” He didn’t want to tell her that he didn’t either.
“I’m on my death bed, what do I need teeth for?”
A loud knock came at the door and Stan turned away, making sure to wipe his tears dry. He stood when the person entered.
It was Shermie, holding a binder in one arm and a coat in another.
“Stanford!” He said, his eyes widening in surprise. “You came.”
Stan cleared his throat.
“Uh… yeah, I couldn’t not come. It’s just been so… busy.” He tried to keep his voice low, hoping Shermie had forgotten what Ford sounded like at this point.
“Well I’m glad you came,” Shermie looked over at their mother in her bed. “Aren’t you glad Stanford came by?”
“Why would I be glad that this little brat ignored me for years just to say goodbye?” She asked gruffly.
Shermie laughed. “Same as ever, ma.”
Stan took the lighthearted mood as his means of escape. He began walking towards the door but took one last look back at his mother.
She smiled warmly at him, her hands folded neatly in her lap. He wanted to burn this image of her in his mind, sitting tall and confident, reassuring him that things might turn out after all.
When he found Ford, he would tell him about her on this day. How she knew without hesitation, how she made all of his loneliness melt away, and how she gave him the hope to finally bring him back. He would tell Ford that she loved them both until the end, just as much as she did the day she brought them home.
Ford would cry with him
“I’ll be back, ma,” he said with a smile.
She winked at him before saying, “Doncha dare come back!”

He was an asshole for this, but Eris had long since stopped caring. He knew that he had to do some bad things now so that he could overthrow Beron and prevent far worse things from happening later. As for bad things he’d done? This didn’t even make the list.
It wasn’t hard to drug the shadowsinger and drag him away. Eris had already caught him once before, and he hadn’t changed his tactics since. Fool.
When the Inner Circle’s janitor woke up, he began to struggle. Predictable, but Azriel could do nothing against his restraints.
“You,” Azriel growled, trying to throw himself at Eris, chair and all.
“Me,” Eris replied calmly. He took a sip of his wine.
“What, you planning to kill me?” he snarled, rattling the chair with his struggles. Eris rolled his eyes.
“That would be counterproductive, wouldn’t it? Would rather ruin my alliance with your court.” He placed his glass down and steepled his fingers in front of him. “No on the contrary, I’ve taken a special interest in you, Shadowsinger.”
Azriel’s face was filled with a ferocity that promised a slow death to Eris. Eris merely tsked at the expression.
“Anger does not suit you, Azriel,” Eris purred. “You lose all your pretty boy features.”
“SHUT UP!” Azriel roared, shaking the chair again. “I fucking hate you.”
Eris sighed. “Funny that you turn your hatred towards me when it is your companions you ought to despise.”
Azriel’s eyes narrowed on him. “What the fuck do you mean?”
Eris shrugged. “It’s not my fault I was engaged to marry Mor. I was a mere child then, powerless to do anything to stop it. I didn’t want it any more than Mor did, only I didn’t dare disobey my father while Mor disobeyed hers. She got punished for it. Got nails all over her body. But had I brought her over that Autumn court border to heal her…she would’ve suffered a fate worse than death. She would’ve become Beron’s servant. Like me. Forever.”
Azriel said nothing. He knew Eris was right, even though Eris was sure he was loathe to admit it. Eris continued, “But your best friend, that brutish general, slept with Mor while knowing what the costs may be, while knowing that you were in love with her.” He laughed lowly. “Some friend, huh?”
Azriel still said nothing, but Eris could sense the target of his anger shift. He was being convincing then.
“How much do they truly respect you? Forcing you to do their dirty work. Making you torture people because they’re too squeamish to do it themselves, even though Rhysand possesses daemati powers and needn’t resort to torture. Isn’t it triggering, considering the torture you went through in your youth?
At last, Azriel said something. “Yes,” he whispered.
“You are the outsider there,” Eris continued. “Both of them mated to Archerons, yet the third Archeron sister belongs to my brother. Don’t you feel rather left out? Like you’re not truly a part of their group? Who there really understands the anger you keep rooted deep inside?”
Pain and sorrow flickered across Azriel’s face, and Eris stood up, stalking over to him and leaning before him. “But I understand,” Eris murmured. “I understand, because it’s the same anger I shove deep down inside because I am under Beron’s thumb. We are the same, you and I. But if you come with me, if you help me overthrow Beron, you won’t be so powerless anymore. You won’t need to hide the anger inside. We’ll finally be free.”
Azriel swallowed. “What would you have me do?” he asked. Eris smirked, resting his hand on his face, rubbing his thumb against his lips. Azriel’s cheeks turned red at his touch. “Spy on your friends for me. I want to know how much they’ve been keeping from me. And then in a month…you quit and join me.”
Azriel raised a brow in challenge as he stared Eris down. “I still fucking hate you,” Azriel muttered.
Eris chuckled. “You’re a fool if you think I care, shadowsinger.”
But Eris knew Azriel was lying. Azriel didn’t hate Eris. Not really. Not like he hated himself.
Just like Eris.

Fallacy
He loved her laugh, but he couldn’t help but feel jealous whenever someone else drew it out of her, especially when that person happened to be a handsome cop. He knows he had no right to feel this way, that she was his friend and nothing more, but it makes fury he knows she doesn’t deserve burn in his veins.
Aaron gets jealous when a local cop flirts with Emily, and his reaction changes their relationship forever.
-x-
Hi friends,
It's been a little while since I wrote a getting together fic or jealous Aaron, so iI thought I'd combine them together for you <3
As always, please let me know what you think! -x-

He loved her laugh.
It was loud. Bright. Beautiful. Something that never failed to make his day when he heard it, always drawing him out of whatever situation he was in, providing momentary relief before reality kicked back in.
Aaron remembered the first time he’d heard it, how she’d clearly tried to keep it stuck in her chest as she watched Derek and Spencer wage a prank war against each other across their desks. She’d been stuck in the middle of it, still new to the team and unsure of her place in it, ducking down as something flew from Spencer’s desk to Derek’s. It was her laugh that had dragged his attention to what was going on, pulled him out of his seat as he stepped out of his office to see what his team was doing. Her eyes had gone wide as if she’d been caught out misbehaving by a teacher, her laugh dying in her throat as she looked down at her desk.
He still hadn’t trusted her, still unsure what her intentions were, but for a reason he didn’t understand at the time, that moment had been the first chink in his armour. It was the first of many. Emily seemed to wear him down without meaning to, her smile and laugh and her kindness so natural to her that he knew she was not doing it intentionally. He often found himself having to hide the fact she made him smile just by being her. She’d not only destroyed his armour, but crawled under his skin. She made him feel things he knew he shouldn’t - especially back when he’d still been married to Haley.
Somewhere along the way, Emily became his best friend.
She’d helped hold him together after Haley’s death. She’d been there with food most evenings. She’d brought over new clothes for Jack as he grew too fast for Aaron to keep up with. She gave them her time, sat with them and encouraged them to carry on living in the moments when it felt the most impossible. When he looked back on it, he thinks that was when he started to fall in love with her.
At first, he thought it was borne out of proximity. A natural reaction to the kindness she’d shown him and his son, but he quickly learnt it was more than that. He looked for her in every room. Sought her out whenever she was nearby, and he wanted more. He wanted to be with her, to know how it felt to sleep curled up around her in bed. To know how it felt to kiss her, to know if it was even more than he’d built it up to be in his head.
There was one evening, just before Ian Doyle tore through their lives, when he’d been home late from the office. Emily had offered to look after Jack and the little boy and encouraged it, his love of Emily well known. When Aaron got home he heard them laughing together, the sound drawing him towards Jack’s bedroom. He found them curled up on Jack’s bed, the little boy leant against her as she read him his favourite book.
He’d almost asked her out that night, his heart hammering in his chest as she smiled at him and took a glass of wine from him after she’d snuck out of Jack’s room once the little boy was asleep. Aaron couldn’t say why he’d backed out, his nerves getting the better of him, a voice in the back of his head that sounded remarkably like his father telling him that he wasn’t good enough for her. That she could do better.
It was something that only seemed to be confirmed when she started to pull away from him and Jack in the weeks that followed. He now knew it was an attempt to protect him and his son, that she feared more than anything that Ian would figure out how important they’d become to her, but at the time he was sure it was her way of letting him down gently because she’d figured him out.
When she was in Paris he missed her more than he thought he would. He still looked for her in every room. Still sought her out. But she wasn’t there. He missed her laugh, her smile. The way she made him feel. He’d sit by her grave for hours some days even though he knew it was empty, idly hoping that he’d feel close to her. That he’d find some kind of peace he always felt when he visited Haley. He repeatedly told himself that when Emily came back, if not even an option he could consider, he’d ask her out. He’d kiss her and find it in himself to be as brave as she always was.
Then she came back and she was different, a ghost of herself as if she really had died on that cold floor in Boston. He watches as she tries to make everyone else feel better, as she tries to be the person she used to be because that’s what they wanted, and he promises himself he won’t expect that of her too. He’s content to be her friend, to be the person she opens up to after he gently convinces her to start taking therapy seriously, and ultimately he knows he’d just be her friend forever if it meant she was happy.
He tenses as she laughs, the sound travelling across the precinct they were in, and he clenches his teeth as he packs the case files away in his briefcase. He looks up and sees her standing a few paces away from one of the cops who’d been flirting with her since they’d arrived to help with the case they’d just closed. Her arms are crossed over her chest as she laughs, her lips pressed together as she nods at whatever is being said to her.
He loved her laugh, but he couldn’t help but feel jealous whenever someone else drew it out of her, especially when that person happened to be a handsome cop. He knows he had no right to feel this way, that she was his friend and nothing more, but it makes fury he knows she doesn’t deserve burn in his veins, chased by the love he endlessly felt for her. He reminds himself that she is the most important part in all of this, a mantra he repeats to himself as he feels himself calm down, his shoulders loosening slightly as she walks closer to him, the cop still by her side.
Aaron doesn’t think he’s ever been more grateful that it was a local case, wanting nothing more than to simply go home and pretend he hadn’t just watched someone flirt with the woman he loves all day.
“How about it Agent Prentiss?” The police officer says, his eyebrow raised as they come to a stop just a few paces away from him, “If we’re done here, I can take you out to that dinner you still haven’t agreed to.”
Emily chuckles, a quick smile flitting across her face as she clears her throat, and she starts to respond but Aaron cuts her off. The fury he’d barely tampered down returning with a vengeance, bursting out of him before he can stop it.
“If you’re done flirting, Agent Prentiss, it’s time we left,” he says through gritted teeth. He realises he’s shown his hand the second she turns to look at him, the way her eyes briefly widen, a frown painted across her because of how he’s spoken to her, hurt flashing in her eyes. He tenses, his jaw tight as he picks up his briefcase and starts to walk away as if he hadn’t spoken, “I’ll see you back at the office.”
He pretends he doesn’t feel her gaze on his back as he leaves, her concern and confusion burning through his clothes and scraping at his skin.
___
She feels unsettled.
The moment she got back to her apartment she started the routine she’d come up with years ago that helped her decompress after a hard day. She immediately threw her hair into a loose bun and ran a bath, the water so hot she hissed as it touched her skin, the scent of lavender and vanilla in the air as she settled into it. Once she’d climbed out of the bath, baby hairs curling at the top of her neck, she’d changed into her comfiest sweats and she ordered in her favourite comfort food, settling on the couch with it when it arrived. She still feels unsettled even when Sergio joins her, his head butting against her hand the moment she’s finished eating.
Emily sighs and scratches his head, “Men are so stupid sometimes, Serg,” she says, smiling when he settles into her lap, “No offence.”
She was worried about Aaron. It was unlike him to snap at her like he had. It hadn’t happened in years, since he didn’t trust her or her intentions, and she hated it. Hated the reminder of what it felt like before he became one of the most important people in her life.
Before she knew how it felt to be in love with him.
It had happened slowly, sneaking up on her until it pulled her under, a moment of painful clarity when he was missing after Foyet had attacked him. The relief she’d felt when she found him in the hospital was short-lived when he had to send away Jack and Haley. She’d eventually gone home that evening when he asked her to, her heart heavy as she could suddenly name the feeling she’d harboured for him for months. The love she felt suddenly so much a part of her it was suffocating, something she had to get used to breathing around, a part of her chest that she didn’t know was hollow full of him and his little boy.
She did all she could to be there for them after Haley died. She put all of her love into grilled cheese sandwiches and dinosaur-covered t-shirts that saw in the store that made her think of Jack. She loved them from a distance even though they were right there, well aware it was not the right time to love them the way she wanted to. Just as things were starting to look up, just as she thought he was about to ask her out, the look in his eyes undeniable, Ian came out of the shadows.
She thought of Aaron and Jack constantly when she was in Paris, thought of them every time she heard a child laugh or saw a family. She’d close her eyes and think of having them there with her, of showing them the streets she’d fallen in love with when she was a child herself, the memories that were now tainted by the time she’d spent there recovering. When she got home, Aaron was right there. He was next to her, he was her best friend, but she worried that the chance for more had passed them by. That it had become yet another almost in her life, something she’d missed out on as penance for her past decisions.
She kept trying to figure out what happened. How she’d gone from politely nodding and laughing at whatever the cop flirting with her was saying as she tried to sneak glances at Aaron when he wasn’t looking, to him snapping at her. She’d tried to ask him, but he wouldn’t talk to her about it, wouldn’t even look at her as she followed him out of the precinct they’d been working in for a few days.
She blows out a breath and shakes her head, scratching behind Sergio’s ears one more time before she stands up, determined to get a glass of wine. She pauses as she reaches for the fridge door, her eyes fixed on a drawing Jack had done for her, it’s bright, crudely drawn, figures standing out against the general aesthetic of her apartment.  He’d told her that the three people in the middle of the drawing were her, him and Aaron, his smile wide and proud as she took it and said she’d put it on her fridge.
It was like a snapshot of a reality she didn’t have. A taster of a life she could have with them if she actually did something about it. Images of a home they shared scattered with drawings from him and children who were half her and half Aaron, their faces slightly out of focus.
She closes her eyes and looks down at the floor for a moment, weighing up her options. She could stay here, have a glass of wine and snuggle up with Sergio, or she could go check on Aaron. She looks at the picture on the fridge door again and nods, the decision made in an instant as she grabs her phone from the counter and heads towards the front door. As she’s slipping on her shoes she hears Sergio meow, she huffs out a laugh as she stands up straight again, grabbing her keys from the side.
“Sorry, Serg,” she says, bending down as he runs over to scratch his head, smiling softly before she leaves the apartment, her voice soft as she talks to herself, “I’ve got to go check on the other guy in my life.”
___
Aaron groans when he hears the knock on his door.
He shakes his head, his plan for an evening alone gone. He frowns as he looks through the peephole and sees Emily. He pauses for a moment before he opens the door, the guilt he’d been pushing down all evening working its way back up his throat, the way he’d spoken to her making his stomach churn.
“Emily-” he starts as he opens the door but she walks right past him, her arms crossed over her chest as she turns to look at him.
“Are you okay?” She asks, the drive to his having made her a little more antsy than she had been when she left her apartment.
He sighs and closes the door, “I’m fine, Emily,” he says far too quickly and he turns to look at her when she laughs humourlessly, clearly not believing him. It makes irritation lick at his insides, “What are you doing here? Don’t you have a date to get ready for?”
The smile slips from her face and she frowns at the bitterness in his voice, her eyebrows furrowed as she tries to figure out what he’s talking about.
“A date? What are you…” she trails off as it hits her and she scoffs, shaking her head at him, “That cop from today?” She asks, his answer a simple averting of his gaze, his eyes fixed on her floor, “Aaron, I never agreed to go on a date with him.”
He looks up sharply, his eyes meeting hers as the fight drains out of him. He swallows thickly, treacherous hope sparking in his chest, “Wh…what?”
She watches him carefully, her hands on her hips as she looks him up and down, sees a sense of uncertainty wash over him that she’d never seen on him before. He was usually so confident, self-assured in a way that she found endlessly attractive. It takes her a moment for her to realise that she’s the one who’s done this to him, that the thought of her going on a date with someone else had reduced him to this. She chokes out a laugh and shakes her head, stepping closer to him, pushed forward by confidence she knew would be fleeting. It had passed her by so many times before, he had passed her by, and she wasn’t going to let it happen this time.
She feels her resolve snap. A delicate thread that had been fraying for longer than she cared to admit giving way under the weight of everything she felt for him, the love she could no longer ignore.
“God, you’re such an idiot,” she says, closing the gap between them, her lips pressed firmly against his before he can respond.
It takes him a second to respond, one of the longest of her life, but then his hands are on her back, pulling her impossibly closer as he kisses her back just as intensely.
It’s new, unexplored territory as it answers questions they’d both had for years, her tongue licking across the seam of his lips before he opens them, the sigh that passes from her mouth to his reward. It somehow feels like coming home, like what they’d both been walking towards for years, a familiarity about it that feels perfect, as if they’d been made for each other.
He pulls back when the need for air becomes too much, dizzy on her and the lack of oxygen as he rests his forehead against hers, “Emily…”
“If it isn’t clear,” she says, her chest heaving up and down as she looks at him, her hand on his cheek as she holds him in place, “You’re the only person I want to go on a date with.”
He swallows thickly, “You…you never said anything.”
She smiles, cupping the back of his head and stamping her lips against his again, chasing the taste of him, her new addiction she knows she’ll never have enough of, “Neither did you.”
“The timing never felt right,” he says, the words sounding lame even to his ears, and she chuckles at him, “I didn’t…” he clears his throat and rests his forehead against hers, “Never in a million years did I think you’d want me back. You could have anyone you wanted.”
It makes her ache, his self-depreciation something she’ll file away for later, something she’ll prove to him again and again is misplaced until he believes her.
“I want you,” she says, pushing his hair away from his forehead, “I have done for a long time.”
He sighs, all the missed opportunities, the time they’d lost weighing heavily on his shoulders for a moment. He shakes it off, lets himself feel the way she’s pressed up against him, how her breath skips across his face.
“We have a lot to talk about,” he says quietly, skating his hand up and down her back, “You could never be…”
He drifts off, unsure how to say it, how to tell the woman he’s in love with, the woman he’s kissed twice, how he feels about her. She smiles at him, understanding he’d lived most of his life without shining at him as she nods.
“I know,” she says, “You’re very important to me too.”
It’s not what she wants to say, not by a long shot, but it will do for now. He kisses her, the first of many he knows that he’ll initiate, and he pulls her into a hug, his chin on top of her head as she snuggles into his chest.
“Will you stay tonight?” He asks, and she pulls back, her eyebrow raised as he realises how it sounded, “Not like that. I just mean-”
“Of course I’ll stay,” she says, resting her head on his shoulder, sighing as she sinks into his embrace, “But you’ll have to take me on a date first before I put out.”
He laughs and she joins in, both of them hiding their joy in each other, her face against his shoulder and his against her hair, aware of Jack sleeping just down the hall even in the bubble they’d found themselves in.
“Is tomorrow too soon?” He asks, and she tilts her head to look up at him, her cheeks going red at the intensity of his gaze, the words he hadn’t said painted all over his face.
“For what?”
He smiles softly, a mischievous glint in his eyes that makes her stomach flip, “For our date. We could go for dinner?”
She grins widely and pulls him into a searing kiss, her hands still tangled in his hair when it ends. She knows it’s the only answer he needs, but she replies anyway, warm and content in his arms as she nods against him.
“It’s a date.”

Cloud Pillows
DreamXD and Dream get themselves a much needed break. From GeorgeHD's generosity they have a home for the night, yet Dream is still on edge and XD knows how to calm him down.
SURPRISE! Bet you didn't think I had the second story ready! WELL I DO!
Pls Enjoy :) ~
---
The room was more than secure and safe enough for DreamXD and Dream, yet XD could not make himself relax. The first thing he did was get Dream and himself a bath. Easily done in the bath that was nearly as big as the bedroom.
As XD expected (and took a moment to wonder in awe), the dresser in the room held clothes for both himself and Dream that was near perfect to their sizes. Dream was finally in soft, clean clothes of a grey t-shirt and shorts. There was a similar set in XD’s size but he only wore the shorts. Surprisingly the top came with an extra set of sleeves for his lower arms, but the size was just a little off so XD went without.
GeorgeHD was clearly more powerful than XD had been told. They only knew of the God from the accounts and stories that Prime would sometimes let them hear, but his power, not just in strength, was more than XD had ever thought. If they could have redone it again, they would have tried to seek HD out as soon as they and Dream arrived in the Overworld.
“What are these?” Dream’s curious voice poked through the thick cloud of thoughts in XD’s mind. He blinked out of his daze, watching as Dream stood beside the table in the middle of the room. The table held a large water jug and a few glasses. Dream and XD had drank all of it before the bath and when they came back to the bedroom the jug was full again. Beside that was a bowl full of fruit, and Dream had pulled out a bunch of small green ones.
“I think they are grapes.” XD answered unsurely. He had remembered seeing a picture of them in a book he read aeons ago, though the End could never grow any. He trusted whatever HD gave them would be safe to eat.
Dream pulled one of the grapes off the stem. He looked at it carefully before looking to XD again. “Can I have it?”
XD nodded and watched carefully as Dream ate one. He could see Dream ponder on the taste and eventually deciding he liked it, putting another one in his mouth. “It’s good!”
XD’s heart warmed and broke as Dream collected a few grapes and then climbed up onto the bed to join him. The first few days on the Overworld had been fine for food. The trees had plenty of apples and XD could hunt the animals easily. Yet all of that was in a pure survival instinct to keep Dream alive, not because he enjoyed any of the food. And with the burn on his arm, most times XD was feeding Dream while the boy was crying in pain.
The memory of Dream’s burning was wedged forever in XD’s mind.
Ever since Dragon had crawled her way out of the void, XD had kept constant care to know where she always was. After Dream was given to him, it was his top priority to keep him safe and yet just one mistake undone it all.
She had come across them exploring an airship and XD had taken just a split second in deciding whether to fight or flee. A split second too long as Dragon opened her maw and the purple flames engulfed the entire ship. XD shielded Dream as best they could from the fire as they teleported, but the horrible scream told them they weren’t fast enough.
XD had taken them to the main island of the End, and opened the portal to the Overworld. His only thought at that moment was to get Dream to water, and once the pain had lessened only slightly, XD had already made the choice that they couldn’t return to the End.
They survived for four days in the wild, moving from biome to biome. XD could not command anything in the Realm and Dream was too young to craft, so it was days looking for food and nights having Dream sleep while XD kept watch. They eventually came across the cherry biome in their travels, Dream having pointed it out and since he’d smiled for the first time in days over it, XD took him there. Exhaustion and stressed had XD close his eyes for just a second and when he open them and saw Dream so close to other kids, he panicked.
At least the outcome had ended with him and Dream with a room for the night.
“Are you okay?” Dream asked as he pat a hand over XD’s knee.
The memories faded off to the back of XD’s mind and he smiled to Dream. “I’m fine.”
“Do you want some grapes?” Dream offered the fruits up which XD calmly refused. Dream hesitated before speaking again, but XD could read his expressions so easily he already knew what Dream was going to ask. “Can I have your cloak?”
“Of course.” XD pulled his cloak up from the side of the bed. Despite it’s frayed and ripped condition, Dream took the cloak eagerly and wrapped it around himself.
His eyes caught onto a few of the tears at the cloaks edges and he ran his fingers over them. “Can you fix these?” The question came as more curious if XD could do it, and not asking him to actually do it.
XD shook his head. “No, not yet.” He had tried mending the cloak when Dream took his bath, but he was still exhausted and his powers refused to work. “I can fix it after I rest a little.”
“Then you can sleep now.” Dream said so surely, popping the few last grapes into his mouth. “And I can keep watch tonight.”
XD held back his snort of laughter. “No.” He said. “You will be sleeping tonight.”
“No!” Dream quickly snapped, surprising XD. “You can sleep tonight. I’ll keep us safe this time.”
XD’s heart lurched in their chest. It had been a constant struggle to get Dream to sleep for the nights they were in the Overworld. Partly from the pain and another part because he’d always fuss over XD being awake. XD had explained that sleep wasn’t needed for them as it would be for Dream, but they couldn’t deny the tiredness that plagued them. Dream was observant as ever, always trying to push XD to rest while he offered to forage despite the burning flesh on his arm. XD used to feel pride over Dream independence. Now they cursed it.
“You do not need to keep watch.” XD explained softly. “We are safe here. GeorgeHD gave us a room for the night. You can sleep just fine.”
Dream’s face twisted to a troubled expression. He huddled the cloak more around himself and mumbled into the green fabric. “We can’t trust them…”
XD frowned; troubled by Dream’s attitude though he knew he was partly to blame. When he was given Dream, the End was already void of life. Dragon made sure of that. It was just XD and Dream for years until now, and even here XD had kept them far from villages and tried to hide them from any wanderers. XD knew he looked different from mortals, and his anxiety the past few days convinced him they’d see him as a monster. Now that had been passed to Dream.
“They are good people. And HD healed you.” XD pointed out. The newly healed arm under the cloak twitched ever so slightly, almost like Dream was pulling it into himself. “How is your arm?” XD asked.
“S’fine…” Dream mumbled, fighting the urge to pull out the arm to check. XD had noticed Dream touching the healed flesh every once in a while.
“HD has done a great kindness for us. We can both sleep easily tonight.”
Despite his soft words, Dream still looked unsure. He pulled the cloak tighter around himself till he had it wrapped snugly. “No! I’ll keep watch!”
XD sighed. Dream was stubborn and arguing with him about it was no use. XD knew this from experience, and there was only one way to get through to him.
In one swift movement, one of XD’s lower hands quickly grabbed the end of the cloak and quickly flipped it over Dream’s head. When Dream squealed and fell over in a struggle to free himself, XD wrapped the cloak more and more around his brother.
“XD!” Dream shouted through the cloak as XD watched the little lump of his brother squirm under the cloak and try find the way out. “Doooon’t…”
“I’m not doing anything.” XD kept his voice calm while he grinned. “It is not me… It is the cloak!” XD made his voice more dramatic as he crowded around his brother.
“No it’s not!” Dream squeaked, giggles lacing his voice. One of his legs kicked out, not hard though, and XD caught it in his hand. His claws started just lightly scratching on Dream’s soles through the cloak and Dream screamed. “EHEHEX DEHEHE!”
“The cloak has you!”
“Nohohoho ihihit dohohoesen’t!”
Dream’s foot was released and he quickly pulled it back in. He curled himself up tightly, making himself as small as possible. He could only see XD’s shadow above him, unmoving. When he tried to pull a piece of the cloak off himself, it was pulled back up.
“Ehex Dehehehe…” Dream giggled. “Lehet me up!”
“It’s the cloak, Dreamie~” XD cooed. The shadow didn’t move but Dream could hear tapping on the bed beside him. He squealed and rolled on his side, away from the tapping. “You need to ask the cloak to let you go~”
“Nohohoho! No Ihi-EEP!”
XD’s hand came in, clawing at Dream’s side and making him scream with laughter again; flailing in the folds of the cloak. XD’s heart swelled, hearing Dream laugh again. The four days of pain would never leave XD’s mind, but he could make every day after that filled with laughter and love. And tickling would surely help that.
“It sounds like the cloak has got you all trapped, Dreamie.”
“Plehehehehease!”
The claw in Dream’s side was pulled back, and Dream tried rolling away only to be scooped up into XD’s arms. He could barely kick or even tell which way was up or down before the four hands around him were kneading into his sides, clawing into his tummy and skittering on his knees.
“Stohohohop! Plehehease stohohohop!”
“Who are you begging to, Dreamie~?”
The frustrated growl, laced with squirmy giggles, ended with a whine of giving in. “Thehehe clohohohoak!”
“Ohhh… I don’t think the cloak wants to let you go, Dreamie!”
The boy shrieked as two of XD’s hands worked on his tummy, sending him into hysterics.
“You are gonna be trapped in this cloak forever!”
“Nohohohoho!”
“If you don’t want to sleep, you’ll be gobbled up forever!”
“Ihihihi’ll sleeeeehehehep!”
XD grinned. “What was that?” His tickling lessened only slightly to allow Dream to speak easier.
“Ihi’ll slehehep! Juhust stohohop!”
XD did stop, feeling Dream fall limp in his arms. The cloak was slowly unfolded and Dream fell to the bed. His damp hair frazzled again, his cheeks red and a dopey smile on his face. A smile XD had not seen in what felt like forever.
The temptation to scoop Dream back up and tickle him was strong, but XD held back. Instead he settled down, laying by Dream as he pulled his brother up onto the pillows.
“Ready to sleep?” XD tried not to sound teasing, yet Dream still groaned defiantly.
“I’ll sleep...for a bit…” Dream relented. He gave a long yawn, stretching and turning around so when he relaxed, his arms came down and hugged the pillows into himself. They were so fluffy and soft, perfectly shaping around Dream’s face and arms like he was sinking into a cloud.
“Of course.” XD chuckled. He had one of his hands brush Dream’s hair into a somewhat manageable shape while another pulled up the cloak again, laying it over Dream like a blanket again. “I will sleep for a bit too. We will both get some rest.”
Dream wanted to argue, XD could see it in the crease between his eyebrows, but instead he relaxed again, curling up with the blanket over him and sighing. He mumbled something into the pillow and was drifting to sleep.
If time could have froze in this moment, XD would have been happy. His brother was healed and safe. They were given a room, a warm bed, food and drink a plenty. Everything in this moment was perfect and XD almost wanted to fight off the sleep to enjoy it more, but the tugs of exhaustion pulled at him to lay his head down on the soft cloud pillows as well.
XD needed to repay HD back for this somehow. To him and his family. He’d given the End brothers a great kindness that could probably never be given back but XD would make sure, somehow, he did.
For now, XD slept. Both Dream and XD slept soundly for the first time in a long while. They slept all through the day, well into the night, and didn’t wake up until dawn the next day.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You met Calum’s eye from across the small living room of Ashton’s house, giving him a weak smile. You weren’t sure how long he’d been watching you - you just knew that as soon as you looked up, his eyes were already on you.
It was weird. You’d never had that kind of interaction with any of the other boys before, or any boy before.
Do I have something on my face? Is my hair a mess? Maybe he thinks my outfit’s ugly.
You did a quick once over of yourself in the reflection of your glass, and eventually decided that you looked fine. So what was his deal?
Calum stood up, and your eyes met his eyes once again. You gave him a confused look and he just gave you a small smile before he walked out of the room.
The rest of the boys all shared a knowing look.
“What?” You asked them.
“Nothing.” Ashton said. “Nothing at all.”
The smirk on his face was enough to irk you, and you had to look away before you made a snide comment that you didn’t mean.
They all clearly knew something. Did they all think your outfit was ugly? It didn’t look that bad when you checked it over before you left.
Maybe I won’t wear this one again.
“Hey!” Calum called into the phone.
“Hi!” You responded, just as enthusiastic.
“Whatcha up to today, sweets?” He asked. You tried to ignore the flutter in your stomach at his pet name.
“Um, not much. I’ve got to finish cleaning my kitchen but other than that, I don’t think there’s anything else. Why?”
“Nothing. Just wanted to see if you wanted to come over for a bit.” He said. There was something in his voice. Hope?
You thought about it. You loved hanging out with Calum, you really did. It was simply becoming increasingly hard to be in the same room as him.
“I… I’ll think about it, yeah?”
“Alright.” He said. Disappointment? “If you don’t want to drive I can pick you up, no biggie.”
You chuckled.
“I’ll let you know, Cal.” And with that, you hung up.
You placed your phone down on the counter, bringing a hand up to your forehead. It wasn’t out of the ordinary for Calum to ask you to come over, but something about the way he said it this time was different.
Calum put his phone down, glancing up at Luke sitting across from him.
“Dude.” He said.
“I know.” Calum grumbled. “I don’t know what it is. Am I the problem? Is it something with me?”
Luke immediately shook his head. “No. I don’t know what it is either, but I don’t think it’s you.”
Calum nodded, defeated. He hated that he couldn’t just tell you how he felt, always using some other tactic.
Come hang out with me.
Want to get dinner, in a totally platonic way?
Hey, I saw this book at the store and knew you wanted it so I grabbed it for you.
Jesus.
You eventually shot Calum a text, telling him to come pick you up so you could hang out with him. It hadn’t even been a minute when his reply came through.
I’m on my way!!!!!!
You smiled.
He pulled up, walking up the steps to your house and swiftly knocking on your door. You opened it, dressed in a pair of shorts and one of Calum’s t-shirts that he’d left at your house a few weeks ago.
His face began to heat up at the sight of it, and he cleared his throat in an attempt to hide it.
“Hi.” He said.
“Hi.” You answered, walking beside him out to his car.
He opened the door for you, gently placing his hand on your back as you got in.
Your chest constricted at the feeling of his hand on you - the heat of it seeping through the thin t-shirt. Calum walked around the car, getting in and quickly driving away.
When you finally made it back to his house, you were more than a little confused to see a group of cars parked on the street.
“You throwing a party or something?” You asked.
“Nah, just a few friends. Why, you okay?”
“Yeah I’m good, just… thought it was gonna be just us.” You shrugged, opening the door and stepping out of his car.
Calum sighed. He knew it wasn’t a good idea to invite people over, but Michael had all but begged him to have some kind of get together instead of moping around because he wasn’t hanging out with you.
Calum quickly caught up to you, reaching around you to open the door to his house for you, gently guiding you through the doorway.
You smiled and said your hello to the rest of the boys as you walked through the house, but soon realized you didn’t recognize anyone else.
“Cal, I don’t know any of these people.” You mentioned, shrinking into his side as the anxiety of being surrounded by strangers began to set in.
“I know, sweets.” He said, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “I’ll introduce you to some of them, if you want.”
You were about to express how much you didn’t want that when a girl approached you. She was just a few inches taller than you, and she was gorgeous. And she clearly knew Calum.
“Cal Pal!” She called, gathering his attention.
“Cara! I didn’t even realize you were here!” He said, the smile on his face putting shame to the overhead lights.
“I know, I snuck in after you left. I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see you guys!”
“Oh! This is Y/N.” He said, gesturing to you.
“Hi!” She said excitedly. “I’m Cara, but I think you probably figured that out.” She giggled, glancing at Calum as he chuckled.
You nodded, returning her hello before Calum detached himself from your side, wrapping an arm around Cara’s shoulders as they walked away. You were left standing in the middle of the hallway, surrounded on all sides by people you’d never seen before, most of which were either high out of their minds or too drunk to stand.
Wow, you thought, he goes all the way out of his way to bring me here and then introduces me to… her. His girlfriend? No, he would tell you… right?
You were pulled out of your train of thought by Ashton’s voice, “You alright?”
You nodded, finally looking away from the direction Calum had walked in to meet Ashton’s eyes.
“Yeah I’m okay. Is Calum seeing that girl?” You asked, pointing at the two of them on the far side of the living room.
“Who, Cara? I… honestly can’t answer that. They just met a few weeks ago, but I doubt it.”
You nodded, not satisfied with his answer. Hanging out with Calum seemed like a good idea before you knew this was how the night would be spent.
You walked into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water before making your way into the backyard, dropping into one of the chairs away from the group surrounding the bonfire.
Watching everyone interact with each other, watching Calum interact with Cara, it was quickly worsening your mood. Now, you just wanted to go home.
“What’s going on?” Calum asked, walking up to you.
“Hm?”
“Come on, sweets, you look like someone kicked a puppy. What happened?”
You warmed once again at the use of his nickname for you, but quickly moved on as you were reminded of the events of the night.
“Nothing happened, Cal. Why don’t you go back over to Cara? I’m sure she misses you.” You knew it was low, and a little unnecessary, but you couldn’t help it. The man you’d been fawning over brought you to his house and abandoned you for a girl he met a few weeks ago.
“What? Why would Cara miss me? She’s got plenty of company over there.” He responded.
“Yeah, well, no girl wants to be away from her boyfriend for too long.”
Calum froze. Is that what this was? You thought he was dating her?
“You can’t be serious.” He said, watching as you slowly picked your head up to look at him. “After everything… all that I’ve done and said and… and you think I want someone else?” He asked incredulously.
“Cal, what are you…?”
“I love you. Not her, you. You’re the only person I want.”
No. No, no, no, this was not happening. You couldn’t be with him, you’d do nothing but bring him down. He deserved so much better than whatever you had to offer, he had to know that.
“No you don’t.”
“Excuse me?”
“You don’t love me. You can’t. You deserve so much better, you are so much better off without me. I’m sorry, Cal, but it’s true. Whatever it is that you think I have to offer I promise is nothing compared to what someone like Cara could give you.”
“No. That’s where you’re wrong. I don’t want you because I think you have something to offer. I want you because you’re you. I want you because you cry over books, and make your tea with oat milk, and have to smell every candle before buying the same one you always get. I want you because you understand me like no one else ever has, and you know exactly what I need at any given moment.”
You couldn’t even think. Here Calum was, telling you exactly what you’d always wanted to hear, and you didn’t believe a single word. There was no way that Calum of all people could feel that way for you.
A tear slipped down your cheek, leaving a warm trail behind as it eventually dropped off your chin.
“No, sweets, why are you crying?” He asked, reaching a hand up to wipe your tears away. You dodged his hand before it could connect with your skin and quickly walked away, leaving Calum and his confession of love behind.
He was dumbfounded. Clearly it was something that he’d done, offended you in some way, to have you walk away from him like that. He stood outside for a few moments before he realized what had happened, and all but sprinted back inside the house.
“Where is she, where’d she go?” He asked no one in particular.
“Uh, I think Macie just took her home. Why what happened?” Luke said.
It had been 3 weeks. 3 weeks since Calum poured his heart out to you and you walked away. He’d called and texted to no avail, and the boys tried, too. But it was clear that you didn’t plan on answering any of them.
It all caught up to Calum one day. And suddenly, he couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think. He was out his front door in a second, immediately heading for you. Sure, you lived 3 miles away, but he couldn’t be bothered to grab his car keys before leaving, and wholeheartedly decided to walk.
The first time thunder rumbled in the distance, Calum didn’t even realize it, too caught up in his own thoughts. It was only a few minutes later when he felt the first drops of rain that he realized what he was doing.
He was pulled out of his thoughts by the sight of a flower stand, an elderly woman placing out a fresh bouquet of roses.
“Hello, ma’am. How much for the roses?” He asked her.
She looked him up and down, clearly seeing something about him that he couldn’t.
“For you? Free. Have them.” She said, giving him a warm smile.
He returned it as he picked up the bouquet and began walking again. 2 minutes later, it was pouring down, and Calum picked up his pace to a run.
You were sitting on your couch, nursing a cup of tea as you read, listening to the rain bounce off the windows. You were startled out of your cozy atmosphere by frantic knocking on your door.
You quickly made your way over, confused as to who could be at your door at this hour, in this weather. And you opened it to find, “Calum?”
You looked him over. It had been almost 3 weeks since ‘the incident,’ as you had nicknamed it, and you hadn’t seen him since. His clothes were soaked through, and the look of desperation on his face almost distracted you from the beat up bouquet of roses he was holding.
“What are you doing?! It’s pouring!” You said.
“I don’t care. I had to see you. To tell you that I meant it, every single word. That you’re the only person who truly understands me, the only person I want to fall asleep next to and wake up with. The only person who can make me laugh until I can’t breathe and fills my heart with so much love and my life with so much happiness that I don’t have a single clue what I would do without you.” He finished.
Tears were streaming down both of your faces, and you didn’t think before throwing your arms around his neck.
You’re clothes were immediately soaked through as Calum wrapped his arms tightly around your waist, dropping the flowers onto your doorstep.
“God, Calum, I am so sorry. I don’t even know what I was thinking, I just… No one’s ever said anything like that to me before and meant it. I didn’t know what to do so I ran and I can’t even express to you how happy I am that you’re here. That you’re here and you said it again and you still mean it even after I ran away the first time.” You pulled back to look at his face, bringing one of your hands around to wipe a fresh tear off his cheek.
He smiled, pressing his lips to yours like he’d been waiting to do for so long.
“Trust me, sweets,” he mumbled against your lips, “that doesn’t change a single thing.”

Hi!! Can I request how they would behave with a shy s/o that didn't confess yet because of that and doesn't plan to do? They'll need to find out.
For Beckman, Lucci and Crocodile (If you can't do some of them it's fine!)
Thank you!! I love how you portrait OP boys!!
A/N: I can indulge you with Beckman, anon, but I have failed miserably in trying to connect with Lucci and Crocodile. Forgive me!!! Also I need to note that I am only at Wano Country arc. I know all these men show up briefly after Wano but I’m not there yet so maybe I’ll be able to revisit this with a more accurate description after I get caught up on the manga?
Characters: gn reader x Beckman
Cw:  bar scene, alcohol mention, little bit of angst
Total word count: 2k
A Life of Adventure
The Red-haired pirates had been coming to the bar you had worked at for about a month now, and every time Benn Beckman walked in through that door, your heart fluttered a bit. He sauntered over to the seat directly in front of you and sat down.
“The usual?” You asked, already pulling out a glass and filling it with top shelf whiskey.
“You know me so well, and we’ve only just met.” He smirked at you from across the bar. “Are you stalking me?”
It was the same banter you two exchanged every night, and every night it made you blush. The pirates sat scattered throughout the bar, but Beckman always sat in front of wherever you were making drinks.
You all had become quite close with each other in that time. Your eight-hour shifts ended frequently with you and Beckman strolling around the town, stargazing or night fishing. He always had some new adventure to show you, and you never wanted to turn him down. You had to admit, the pirate life seemed nice; you understood why he was a part of it. He managed to find and show you parts of the island you didn’t even know existed, even after living here for your entire life. You couldn’t wait to see what adventure he’d take you on today, tomorrow, and every other day they were here to shake up your life in your tiny island town.
“We’re leaving tomorrow morning,” Beckman said, breaking your thoughts.
“Leaving?” His words shocked you, and the glass in your hand dropped to the ground, shattering on impact. You stared at him with your mouth open, trying to process his words.
He just nodded, swirling the whiskey in his cup and then downing it all in one swig. He slid it back across the bar to you, and you reached out to grab it before it fell to the floor with the other glass.
You quickly filled his glass and set it back down in front of him, and then excused yourself to search for a broom.
As soon as you got to the back room, you could feel the tears starting to form in your eyes, and you blinked them away, fanning your eyes to keep them dry. You took a few deep breaths, trying to steady yourself, and then grabbed a broom and went to clean up the mess.
You weren’t delusional. You knew pirates didn’t stay in one place forever. Being a pirate meant that they were free to go wherever they chose, and Beckman probably wouldn’t even remember your name in three months. They’d move on to another island and he would find another bartender to be friendly with, just like he had with you, and just like he probably had hundreds of times before.
“Y/N?” It was Beckman, and he was peering over the counter to find you. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah Beck, I’m fine. Just a bit clumsy.” You swept up the glass quickly and stood to face him, trying to push down your sadness.
He smiled at you, and you thought for a second you saw some sadness in his eyes, but then he laughed. Whatever emotion you thought you had seen was gone now, most likely a manifestation of your own feelings.
“Think you can get off early tonight? I have a little adventure I want to take you on.”
You wanted to go; you really did. But the bar was packed tonight, and you couldn’t leave your coworkers short staffed. Plus, a small part of you knew if you went, his absence tomorrow would only hurt more.
You shook your head. “Sorry, not tonight. We’re already short-staffed as it is.”
“Not even for my last night?” You tried not to flinch at his words. His eyes watched you carefully, watching you while he took a sip of the whiskey in front of him.
You hesitated, looking around again. The bar was lively now, but it might calm down as the night went on. “Ask me in a few hours, mmkay?”
--
“It’s been a few hours,” the voice sang from your favorite seat in the bar, and you glanced over at the man you had slowly fallen for over the past few weeks as he spoke.
You had to admit, you were a little angry he had given you such short notice on his departure. If you had known it would be his last night, you would’ve taken off, maybe you would’ve been bold and asked him on a date. Something. Anything. You wanted to spend the whole evening with him, hopping fences and jumping streams to find the best view on the island like you had been the past few nights. You wanted one last adventure with him before he left.
But tonight was too busy for even a casual conversation with him. You zipped around the bar, pouring drinks and serving food to patrons who never stopped drinking and eating. You coworkers had tried to pick up a few of your tables when they realized your situation, but it still wasn’t enough for you to take a seat and talk with Beckman, let alone leave the building with him.
You gave him a regretful look and a sad smile and shook your head at him. “Sorry, Beck. We’re just too busy tonight.”
He nodded and turned his gaze down to his drink. He’d wait as long as he needed to have one last fleeting moment with you.
--
Beckman had met many people in his travels with the Red-Haired Pirates, and he had flirted with just about every single one of them. But you were different. You made him want to stay, or at least take you with him.
A strong arm wrapped around his neck, and his captain leaned into him “So, what are you going to do?”
Beckman sighed. “I’m sticking around for a bit longer, but you guys go ahead. I’ll be there tomorrow at first light.”
Shanks laughed loudly, his voice echoing around the bar. Beckman’s eyes glanced to you, but you were preoccupied with another customer.
“That’s not what I mean, Beckman. I mean what are you going to do about that?” Shank’s eyes slid over to you as well, and Beckman felt his stomach knot a little.
“What about it?”
“Don’t worry, I give you my blessing, you know.” Beckman could see Shank’s eyes still on you, and he was grinning mischievously, as if the captain knew something he didn’t.
Beckman was getting irritated by his captain’s riddle. “Give your blessing on what?”
“Whatever you want to do.”
“Captain-”
“Ask them to join. Or offer to stay. Whichever you want.”
Beckman’s face must’ve been a sight to behold, because Shanks began laughing again. This time, you glanced over to see what the ruckus was, and caught Beckman’s eye. You smiled and gave a small wave, and his face began to feel warm again.
“Come on, Beckman,” Shanks voice was now low in his ear as they both watched you. “I can tell you’re head over heels for that one. And Y/N is head over heels for you too. So just ask them to join us. Or stay here.”
Shanks sighed, pulling away from his first mate. “I’d prefer the first one, personally. I’d love to have another crew member, and I definitely don’t want to lose you. But the decision is yours.” And with those final words, the red-haired captain left Beckman alone with his thoughts and the opportunity to keep you close to him for a while longer.
--
He stayed until the bar closed down, and then waited outside for you while you cleaned up.
“Go! We’ll be fine!” Your coworkers called, pushing you out the door. There was still a lot of closing tasks to do, but they were insistent they didn’t need your help. So you gathered your things, and took a deep breath before you opened the door into the cool night.
He was there, leaning against the side of the building, waiting for you like he promised. When he heard the door open, his head tilted up, and that smile you had grown so familiar with appeared on his face.
“I hate that your last night on the island was spent waiting for me to get off,” you apologize to him, but he waves it off.
“It’s no big deal. Come on, I’ve got a place to show you.”
You follow him through back streets and into the forest. You all don’t speak; you preferred the silence of the night while you all moved silently through the trees. After a few minutes of walking, you arrived at a small clearing. There was a lake on the far side, and the stars shone brilliantly overhead.
You had been here before, the two of you had found it on one of the first nights you had gone out exploring, but you hadn’t stopped long to enjoy it. Now though, you’re realizing you passed up an amazing view in search of a better one.
The two of you sat by the lake, and you listen to his stories of his adventures on the Grand Line. You tell him stories too, about your quiet and relatively uneventful life on the island. It’s amazing how you both can exist in the same part of the world and have such different experiences. You envied him, and you wondered if he envied you in any way.
“Are you happy here?” Beckman asks, and the question takes you by surprise. You turn to look at him, but he’s staring at the small fish that are swimming lazily at the lake’s edge.
“As happy as I can be.” That answer feels right to you. It’s not exactly the truth, but it’s not a lie either.
Beckman nods, and it’s silent for a while. You can see the night sky begin to lighten, and you realize the sun is starting to rise.
His voice comes again just as the sun starts to peek over the horizon. “Could you be happier? If you were somewhere else?”
Now is the time for you to tell him. All of the alarms are going off inside your head. Confess to him. Admit how much you long for an adventure. Tell him how exciting your life has been these past few weeks, how you desperately don’t want this to end. Beg him to stay, or ask him to take you with him.
But you can’t bring those words to form in your mouth. “Probably.” You curse yourself for such a simple and vague answer.
You risk a glance over at him, and you can see he’s still focused on the sunrise. Ships always leave at first light. He’s going to be late back to his crew, but he doesn’t appear to be concerned.
“Do you want to come with us?”
“Yes.” The words are out of your mouth before you even realize what he’s asking.
“Really?” He asks, not sure if he heard you correctly. He looks over at you, shocked by your immediate answer, and you blush deeply.
“Yes! Yes, Benn Beckman! Take me with you!”
His lips spread into a grin, and he stands quickly. His hand reaches down to take yours, and as you stand, he doesn’t let go. He pulls you along, back through the woods, through the town, and to the docks, never letting go of your hand until you reach the Red-Hair’s ship.
“Shall we?” He gestures to the plank that leads up to the deck, looking only at you. “Adventure awaits.”

Two Halves
ᴅᴜɴɢᴇᴏɴs ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴀᴅᴅɪᴇs (s𝟸)
ᴛᴡ: ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ, ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ɢᴏʀᴇ, ᴄᴜʀsɪɴɢ, ᴊᴜsᴛ ʟᴏᴛs ᴏғ ᴀɴɢsᴛ
𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 1,759
Henry Oak held his newborn twin boys one cold fall day. He kissed their heads, kissed his wife, and marveled at the life they brought into the world.
“Two halves,” Henry would say. “Two halves of a whole. You boys take care of each other, look out for each other.”
It was always Lark and Sparrow. Not just Lark. Not just Sparrow. Lark and Sparrow.
Sparrow never thought of living without his brother. They went through it all. Preschool and Elementary, defending each other from the bigger, meaner kids. Tag-teaming on the soccer field.
“The ying to his yang,” some would remark.
Sparrow was the soft one. Sweet and playful. He giggled as he splashed in the cold water on warm summer days. He’d grin with glee as he sunk his hands into cool dirt and felt the worms writhe under his palms. He would have flowers and sticks and bugs stuck in his curly blonde hair.
“The sun to his moon,” their mother would chuckle.
Lark was the wild one. Covered in bandaids, bruises scattered on his legs, knees always raw and scraped. He climbed high trees and rocks. He chased birds and caught frogs in the creek. He laughed as he splashed his brother in the cold creek water.
They never imagined living without the other.
They tumbled into the Forgotten Realms together, Sparrow clinging to Lark’s arm. While Sparrow’s head was still spinning with nausea, Lark was fiercely fending off the henchmen that easily captured the two of them.
“Look, it’s two of a kind!” They laughed at the angered boy and whimpering brother.
When they returned to Earth, so changed and yet still the same, Sparrow thought everything would be okay. But then Lark approached him with that seething hate in his eyes. Not for him, no. For Henry. For their father. And Lark begged for his help.
“Just hold him,” he pleaded. “Hug him tight, like you always do. You’ll see, brother. This has to happen. It’s our destiny.”
They tattooed their name onto the other. Lark would never be without Sparrow. Sparrow would never be without Lark.
And now, with blood dripping from his mouth, pooling under his body, Sparrow laughs shallowly.
It was stupid to think they could be together forever.
Lark was still in the heat of battle, blinded by rage. Shooting with wild abandon at the Doodlerized minions. But he had a feeling to look over his shoulder. He wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was just an itching instinct to check for his brother.
When he turned, he saw him. His other half. Sprawled out on the pavement, blood encircling him like a crimson spotlight.
“Sp-Sparrow-! Fuck-! Sparrow, S-.. brother!”
Fighting off the Doodlerized, Lark sprinted to reach Sparrow. He grabbed his shoulders, hissing apologizes through his teeth for how badly this would hurt. Dragging his brother to the closest building. His heels slipped on his blood and left wine-red footprints behind them, and a gruesome drag-trail.
Kicking in the door, Lark pulled Sparrow inside and shut themselves in. Locked and with a shelf shoved against the door, Lark finally turned to look down at the wheezing body at his feet.
Sparrow looked like a ghost of himself. His glasses were askew on his face, his eyes heavy-lidded. His skin was turning a sickly pale. Blood was smeared across his cheek from his mouth. His teeth turned pink as he grit them in pain.
His hand trembled and cupped the wound in his side. His white shirt was turning red and pink around the radius.
Lark felt sick to his stomach as he fell to his knees and started to apply pressure. His heart thumped in his ears as he used one hand to feel his body for any medical supplies. Adrenaline and dread mixed in a nauseating concoction in his veins.
Fuck. Lark wasn’t the medic one. It was never him.
Fuck. Terry would carry the medical supplies. He always said not to rely on magic.
Fuck. Sparrow knew how to heal. But already his eyes started to grow hazy and dim.
“Sparrow, hey, hey, keep with me. Don’t you dare nod off on me!” Lark snapped with venom, with anger and fear like that scared little boy that tried to fight the monsters under their bed.
Sparrow’s chest rose and fell shallowly, and he wheezed with each breath. He hardly responded to his brother’s words. He didn’t chastise him for his harshness like he normally does.
Lark’s brows furrowed to the point of aching as he searched his mind for the next step. His breath began to shake with his hands. His hands were slick with warm blood. It was sticky and viscous like syrup.
“Fuck- fuck fuck fucking fuck! Dammit, Sparrow!” He shouted, pressing firmer on the wound in the hopes of getting a response. Even if Sparrow cussed him out, it would be a welcome alternative to his silence.
“Don’t- don’t do this to me, brother!” Lark sobbed, only now aware of the hot tears that spilled down his face. “You can’t leave me! This isn’t- we’re supposed to do this together!”
As Lark intended, Sparrow stirred with a sudden groan and grimace, the aching pain that blossomed under Lark’s hands doing enough to stir Sparrow’s foggy mind.
Sparrow felt his mind going muddy, like water in a creek that’s stirred up until it’s all brown with sediment. As he breathed in, his chest ached, and he could hear the wet crackle of his lungs. His heart beat fast, only worsening the blood that flowed freely out of his body.
He knew he was dying. He couldn’t save himself— his magic was drained, used up in enchantments like Entangle and Guidance and healing Grant from a particularly nasty attack.
And now there was nothing left for him.
Eyelids fluttering with a weakness, Sparrow lifted one of his hands to clutch Lark’s. He wheezed and coughed, turning his head to look up at his sobbing brother.
“I’m… I’m sorry, Lark. I don’t think… I don’t think I can… I think this is it…”
“No.” Lark’s mouth curled with a stubbornness, his hands squeezing his brothers. Still keeping pressure on his wound. Anything for a few extra seconds. “No. I won’t let you. We- we just have to… just have to wait. Maybe- maybe Normal or Grant’s kid can—”
“L-Lark,” Sparrow rasped, eyes wet with tears. He sobbed, and then coughed up spittle tinged with blood. “I don’t- I don’t think there’s a-a way out of this… the kids… they’re too far a-ahead. And I don’t… I wouldn’t want Normal to s-see me like this…”
Sparrow watched his brother’s features break with grief, with a helplessness that he knew he despised. He stared up at his face that mirrored his own, mirrored his fathers. Sparrow always thought Lark looked more like Henry out of the two of them. Lark hated it.
Hot heavy tears dripped from Lark’s eyes and a sob tore from his throat painfully. Still, he refused to ease his hands off of Sparrow’s wound. Stubbornly hoping against all the odds that maybe he could hold out for just long enough.
“It’s supposed to be us against the world, brother. Us. It- I-… I cant do this w-without you…”
Sparrow squeezed his brother’s hands, eyes brimming with tears that spilled from the corners of his eyes.
“You have to. You- you have to watch our boy for us… you have to look out for N-Normal…”
The thought of leaving Normal brought another sob from Sparrow, grimacing with pain as he cried in the dark of this house. The thought of leaving Normal after what he said… after what Normal feels now…
Sparrow gripped Lark’s wrists with a sudden urgency, enough so that it awoke him from his sorrow. With wet eyes, Lark looked down at his brother expectantly— hoping that Sparrow somehow found a second wind, an iota of magic he could summon for himself.
“L-Lark, please- please tell Normal that I love him. Tell him and Hero that… I love them, and I-I’m so proud of them, please.”
Lark grimaced with anguish, his vision blurred with tears until he blinked and nodded slowly.
“O-Okay… I will… I promise…”
“A-and-” Sparrow coughed and his abdomen spasmed painfully. Lark noticed he was paler than before— nearly grey. “Don’t- don’t forget to tell them that you love them. Tell them, sh-show them… just… I know that you do. J-Just let them know…”
Lark sobbed bitterly, nodding in reluctant acceptance to all Sparrow asked. How could he say no to his brother’s last request, to love his children as his own?
“O-Okay… okay…”
Sparrow smiled weakly up at his brother, even as Lark dropped his head and sobbed over him. Even at the brink of death, Sparrow tried to ease Lark’s hurt and hide his own. He brought a hand up to Lark’s cheek, patting him in weak comfort.
“Hey… it-it’s gonna be alright, brother. I know it will…”
Sparrows words seemed to carve into Lark’s heart with a deep pain. He felt like he was being torn in two, kneeling over his brother’s slowly dying body. He sobbed helplessly, his hands slipping away from his brother’s wound. Giving up. Accepting the inevitable. Hating himself for it.
Sparrow tried to suppress his coughing, wheezing at Lark’s knees. Blood bubbled at the corner of his mouth and was soaked into his clothes.
“H-Hey- hey, Lark…”
Reluctant, Lark lifted his head. Tears still slipped down his cheeks and into his unkempt beard. His blood-stained hands now rested on his lap, curled into tight fists.
“Yeah, Sparrow?”
Gathering his remaining strength, clinging to the last drop of life he had before it slipped away, Sparrow raised his fist to his brother.
“P-Power…”
Lark stared at the offered fist in heartbreak. He choked back a sob, weakly bumping his crimson fist against Sparrow’s.
“Power…”
Sparrow laid down his hand and offered one last smile to his twin. His other half. Skin grey and ghostly, his eyes dim and fading.
Lark held Sparrow’s hand, sobbing bitterly through gritted teeth. Cursing everything under the sun for doing this to him. Taking the one thing he had left. The ying to his yang. The sun to his moon. His balance, the one who softened his harsh edges, reminded him to love instead of hate, to live instead of survive.
He watched his other half die.

GIFS DO NOT BELONG TO ME
SEOKJIN:
Jin was excited about it all, he couldn't wait to be a father and even if it had happened with you by accident he was more than ready to become a father. The boys and management however had been a little less than happy about it and had already begun running tests the moment you told them you were pregnant.
"You don't mind them doing this?" Jin asked as you both waited for one of his managers to come back into the room. When you slept with Jin you had no idea who he was, you'd met, you'd fucked and then called him when you found out you were pregnant.
"If it means you'll believe me," You mumbled, in all honestly you were tired of being called a liar and having to go through tests to prove that the baby was Jin's.
"I believe you," Jin said as he reached his hand out and placed it on top of yours. The two of you had been getting to know each other more since you'd moved in with each other.
"I just wish they did," You glanced over at the glass wall to see all of the members watching you closely. You knew why they didn't believe you since Jin was who he was after all and you knew other people probably tried this in the past.
"You're the father Jin," His manager said as they walked into the room, all of them beginning to apologise to you for the extensive testing and questioning that they'd been grilling you with for months.
"Good, now that that's over I'm taking her to get something to eat." Jin said as he helped you up from the chair, walking with you toward the exit.
"We still need to narrow down baby names," He said while you nodded your head,
"I'm not naming my baby after anything stupid though, we need to think seriously about them." You laughed softly as he nodded his head, writing down ideas in his phone.

YOONGI:
It had been one night between you both, one night that had changed your entire relationship dynamic with Yoongi forever. It was just supposed to be a one night stand between friends, both of you were feeling needy and wanted to deal with your feelings but you never would have imagined this.
"You have to say something," You told Yoongi as you watched him from across the studio. You'd just finished telling him that you were pregnant with his kid and he'd said nothing in response to you. But you knew him well enough to know he was just going over everything inside of his head and trying to make sense of it,
"You're positive you're pregnant?" He asked, his voice cracking through the sentence as he looked at you.
"The twenty tests all said yes," You announced slowly before the room went back into silence, your whole world was going to depend on Yoongi's response. If he was happy about this, or at least okay with it, you felt as though you were going to make it through it all with him by your side. But if he wasn't happy...You didn't know what you were going to do.
"You need to quit your job," He announced casually before nodding his head to himself and starting to write things down on a pad of paper everything he needed to do.
"Excuse me?" You laughed a little wondering what he was talking about,
"Quit, we'll get you a job here so you can work closer to me and have a better paying job. We'll get apartments near one another so I can see them a lot,"
"Yoongi...Rewind, I can't just quit my job and move out. I have a lease," You reminded him of your shitty apartment and he knew it wasn't the right place to raise a kid, it was practically a death trap for you and he didn't want to imagine his child in a place like that. There was no way he was letting you stay there.
"So I'll get you out of it, why can't you quit?" He looked up from his paper and you thought about it for a minute but nothing was coming to mind.
"Well," There wasn't any real reason why you couldn't quit the job that you had, you absolutely hated it but working for Yoongi? Wasn't that going to get complicated?
"You can take up anything here, you know that." He got up from his desk and began to think of everything he could do to help you.
"Yoongi..." You trailed off, trying to gain his attention. You were happy to do whatever he wanted if it meant he wanted to be included in the kid's life but you wanted him to answer something first.
"I'll talk to Bang PD, we'll sort you something out I promise."
"Yoongi." You laughed a little as you noticed him beginning to pace around the space of his studio.
"Yeah?" His eyes were filled with excitement and you couldn't help but smile.
"Are you okay with it? Does it bother you?" Within seconds he was rushing over to you and sitting beside you on the sofa, his hand falling onto your stomach even if there wasn't a bump yet.
"I'm over the moon with this," He whispered before pressing a soft and gentle kiss to your temple, excited to start the next chapter of his life with you.
Tumblr media
HOSEOK:
As soon as Hoseok found out he was there for every appointment, scan, and shopping trip you had planned that involved anything for the baby.
"I'm sure he'll be here, can we just wait an extra minute?" You asked the nurse as you nervously waited for Hoseok to show up. The two of you were finally figuring out the gender of the baby today and you wanted him to be here more than anything in the world.
"We've already been waiting for ten minutes. I have other people to see," You looked at your phone before sighing, he hadn't texted or called to tell you he was going to be late.
"Okay...Can you just write the gender down, I don't want to-"
"I'M HERE! I'M HERE!" You heard the door hit the wall and you glanced over to see Hoseok staring at you and panting heavily,
"I had to leave my car parked like a mile away and-"
"You ran here?" You laughed looking at how badly he was sweating and out of breath ,
"Traffic....bad...needed...to be here," He panted before settling down beside you on the chair, the two of you held hands as you watched the screen. This was something you'd been doing ever since you started coming to the appointments, it wasn't anything more than a platonic hand hold and you both knew that. The one night you'd shared together had been nothing but a way to get some needy feelings out of your system and nothing more.
"Are you sure you want to know the gender?" The nurse asked, your eyes locked with Hoseok and you nodded. The two of you had spoken about this before and as much as you wanted it to be a surprise, you also desperately wanted to know.
"Please," You both said in unison before she began turning the screen around and telling you the gender of your beautiful baby.
Tumblr media
NAMJOON:
"Isn't this a bit too much?" You questioned Namjoon as you walked into the nursery in his place. The two of you had just finished moving in together and he was giving you a tour of the place. Ever since you told him you were pregnant with his kid he'd been working on getting the nursery ready.
"No, I don't think I have enough supplies." He mentioned nodding over at the wardrobe where there were so many boxes of diapers you had no idea if he was expecting one baby or triplets.
"You know, we're just having one right?" You asked as you opened the second wardrobe to see a full wardrobe of baby clothes from an infant to a toddler
"I wanted to have everything we could," He flushed as he looked at you walking over to the rocking chair. The two of you had met one night at a museum and one thing led to another until you were pregnant with his kid and had no idea what to do. Neither of you wanted a relationship with each other but moving in was about convenience and making sure Namjon could have the best relationship with his baby.
"You look relaxed," He said as he sat down in front of the chair, slowly rocking it with his hand as you closed your eyes and held your hand over your bump.
"Beyond relaxed, you didn't have to do all of this for us." Your eyes glanced down at him as he nodded,
"I did. You're my family, I'll do everything I can for my family." He smiled before getting up and going to make you something to eat.
Tumblr media
JIMIN:
"Jimin, I think that's enough." You laughed watching as Jimin scanned every possible item within the store. The two of you were out together for the first time since announcing your pregnancy to the world and he was doing every bit of shopping for your baby that he could.
"We still don't have any of those cute little shoes though, we need them." He warned you as you both began to walk down the aisle toward some cute baby shoes your guards following swiftly behind you. Ever since the announcement, Jimin had doubled the men he had following you both so that you were safe in the streets.
"Jimin," You groaned feeling your little one kick you suddenly, you never quite got used to the feeling of it and you held onto the small trolley tightly.
"Kicking?!" He yelled out, dropping the outfit he was holding and rushing to touch the bump. Every time the baby kicked Jimin was either at work or in the shower, this was the first time he would feel it.
"Oh my god!" He cried out as he felt the small kick of your baby,
"How cute! How long have you been married?" An elderly woman asked before you and Jimin exchanged worried glances,
"We're not-" Jimin started explaining,
"Never," You added,
"Not in a million years." Jimin finished making you both laugh at the idea of it. It had been one drunken night between friends, no feelings between you and just sex.
"But the baby..." The elderly woman mentioned,
"Is mine, we just don't want to be in a relationship," Jimin explained as you smiled warmly at him. Neither of you wanted the other to feel obligated to date because you happened to be pregnant with his kid. All you wanted was happiness for your child and if this was how it was going to be achieved then you were more than okay with that.
Tumblr media
TAEHYUNG:
From the moment that Taehyung had found out about your pregnancy, he had been doing everything he possibly could for you. The two of you had been friends for years before your one night stand so nothing felt awkward or forced.
"Tae..." You trailed off when you walked into your bathroom to find a bathtub run with candles burning and soft music playing in the background. You were in your final trimester and Taehyung had been a little overprotective with everything.
"I ran you a bubble bath, they said it can help induce labour and then I also read that spicy food can help so I ordered the spiciest food that I could from the local take-out place." He explained in one breath making you stare at him and blink. You don't think he'd been getting as much sleep as he was used to, he was far too busy worrying and running around after you even though you told him that you were perfectly fine.
"Tae, this is all really sweet. You know you didn't have to do this, right?" You hated that he was doing this for you. It felt as though you were an obligation he NEEDED to take care of and you didn't want to be a burden on him.
"I wanted to. You're the mother of my child and I am going to make sure you have the best life with me," You smiled warmly before pressing your lips against his, bringing him into a deep kiss as he smiled a little. There were so many unspoken things about your night together, you wanted it to happen again more than anything and the kiss was proof enough that so did Taehyung.
"I-I read that sex can help induce labour," You panted breathlessly as you pulled at Taehyung's shirt, a giant smirk grew on his lips as he began to strip you both from your clothes.
"W-Wait...Wait," You groaned out as when you felt a dull pain in your pelvis followed by wetness dripping down your leg,
"My water just broke," You whimpered as Taehyung snapped back into dad mode, running to grab your "to go" bag before coming to help you get dressed.
Tumblr media
JUNGKOOK:
Jungkook had been terrified from the moment you told him that you were pregnant. He'd been fine with it when the words fell from your lips but then reality crashed into him as he realised he was going to be a father. Then there was telling his boss and the rest of the boys that he'd managed to get someone he'd had a one night stand with pregnant. There, of course, had been countless tests to make sure you weren't lying courtesy of his manager and a paternity test to discover if it was really his or not.
"You doing okay?" You asked Jungkook as you carefully sat down beside him on the sofa of his apartment, he'd just finished building the cot that was going to go in the nursery and nodded at you.
"Tired,"
"You know that's not what I mean..." You trailed off slowly as you looked around the room. This wasn't exactly an ideal situation and you knew that having a baby wasn't exactly what Jungkook had planned for his life.
"I know it's not what you had planned in your life, to have your one night stand moving in with you and taking over your apartment." Jungkook frowned as he heard you speaking this way.
"It'll be hard but we won't get in your way,"
"In my way of what?"
"Your love life and your job." His frown deepened as he rested his hand on top of yours,
"You're my life now, you and the little bundle growing inside of you right now." You smiled weakly, you'd heard one of his managers claiming all of this was going to be to help lessen the blow to his reputation,
"I know you're doing this to help your reputation Jungkook, it's okay. I understand,"
"No...No you don't, I'm not doing this because of my reputation. Sure, when it was first put across to me for that I agreed but this is so I can be with the mother of my child and help her through every stage of her pregnancy and again when our child is born." Your eyes watered a little maybe it was the extra hormones floating around in your body but you found yourself crying against Jungkook's shoulder pretty quickly.
"I want to do everything with you by my side. You'll never get in my way," He whispered as he rubbed your arm softly.

Runaways | R.B
Paring: Regulus Black X Twin!Fem!Reader
Summary: Regulus refuses to lose yet another sibling after Sirius leaves.
Being a Hufflepuff Prefect with a mischievous older Gryffindor brother is a lot of work. Sirius is frequently getting into trouble, and Remus is no help. But honestly? Y/n isn’t either. If anything, she laughs at her brother and her friend's antics. Y/n is the only Black family member still in good shape with all her family.
Sirius was overjoyed when Y/n was into Hufflepuff. His little sister following in his footsteps of no longer being a Slytherin. However, Y/n’s twin brother - Regulus - was sorted into Slytherin. She didn’t let that define their relationship. Y/n was close with her twin and the Marauders. Remus often bumped her shoulder in the halls making her smile. The werewolf often had that effect on her. So did James, and so did Peter.
But no one made a giant smile appear on her face than Sirius and Regulus.
“Oi! Little sis!” His voice, it was calm and bright, something she hadn’t heard in a long time.
Y/n turned, “Hey Siri.”
Sirius’ arm went around her shoulders, “How’s your day been?”
“Good, yours?”
“Oh,” Sirius sighed, dreaming, making her chuckle, “It’s been perfect, dear sister.”
“What did you do now?” Y/n fake scolded, “Everything.” Sirius replied.
A familiar raven-haired boy was making their way towards them, hoping and praying that they wouldn’t notice. His green tie and green robes. The prefect badge on the left side of his chest. The wavy black hair and the beautiful grey eyes. The 5’11 Slytherin walking towards his twin sister and older brother. The people he adored the most in the world but barely talked to within the castle walls. His plan ultimately failed.
Regulus turned to walk by his two siblings only for Y/n to wrap an around his shoulder, “Reggie!”
“Y/n, Sirius.” Regulus greeted with the corners of his lips barely turning up, “How’s your day been?” Sirius asked, turning to look at his younger brother.
“Good until two idiots came along.” He joked with a smile adorning his features.
Y/n put her hand on her heart dramatically, “You wound me!”
Both brothers chuckled, and a Professor came to greet them in the middle of the hallway, seeing their beautiful smiling faces, “All three Black’s in one spot. How brilliant!” Slughorn commented as Sirius faked tipping his hat.
The three Black siblings. The Black trio. One Gryffindor, one Slytherin, and one Hufflepuff. Oh, how Walburga adored them despite the way she treated them. It was never in her heart to treat them the way she does. Orion had such a soft spot for his twins. But alas, both parents knew that if they didn’t raise them correctly - or without abuse - they would only get hurt worse. Walburga knew that if she treated them the way she truly wanted to, they’d be split.
But that never compared to the aching in her heart when she had to cast a spell on her children. The kids she was sworn to protect. Walburga never wanted this life, never wanted to marry Orion, hell, she never even wanted kids, but Merlin, her kids were great. Slughorn and McGonagall would send her letters of how wonderfully they’ve been doing in their studies, how Sirius made another cauldron explode, how Regulus caught the snitch and won the Quidditch Cup, how Y/n made prefect and was top of her class.
It was beautiful, and for once, Walburga was happy. She hid all the letters from Orion. If Orion knew he’d made Walburga send a howler, and she didn’t want that. Godric how she hated the awful red colors the howlers came in. The awful shade of brilliant rose. It brought a grimace to her face just thinking about it. But like everything, the truth comes out, and Sirius eventually got a howler.
Sirius let go of Y/n to begin Transfiguration while the two twins made their way to Herbology. Not before Sirius kissing the tops of their heads like he did when they were kids, “I love you guys!”
“Black, get in here!” McGonagall yelled, and both twins laughed, “We love you too!” They replied in unison.
Regulus and Y/n laughed, their arms around each other's shoulders, “I never want him to leave.” Regulus admitted.
“Me either.”
The day was uneventful. More learning, more foolishness, and more laughter. Professor Sprout couldn’t help but smile at the Black twins in her classroom. Regulus was always ice cold when not around his siblings. They made him shine even if he couldn’t find a reason to. It didn’t matter where they were. The Black trio always brought smiles with them. Whether it was Y/n and Sirius, the twins, or all three, their smiles, their laughs, their happiness was so contagious. Three children from an abusive home, coming together to make each other smile. How is it possible?
Y/n would be the answer. The glue to the Black family. The bond to keep her brothers from drifting apart. But that all changed in the summer of 1976.
It was dark and another day of yelling. Sirius couldn’t take it anymore. He needed to leave. He wanted to go. It was bound to happen. He kept telling himself. But did that excuse leaving his siblings behind? Would he risk their safety for his own pleasure? Sirius didn’t have time to think about it. He packed his trunk and opened the window. One leg out and just about to get the other over until his door opened.
His little sister, “Sirius?”
“Hey, sis…” Sirius hated how his voice shook and almost broke.
“What- Where are you going?”
He couldn’t help it; she needed to know the truth, “Away. Far away from here.”
Y/n crossed her arms slowly, “Without saying goodbye?”
“Goodbye?” Sirius replied with a nervous smile.
She shook her head with a smile, walking toward his window. Sirius expected a smack, a lecture. But she didn’t do that. Y/n cupped both his cheeks and kissed his forehead like he did when she was hurt. Tears filled his grey eyes without permission as he stared at his younger sister's glossed eyes. Gently she ran her hand through his hair, moving it back.
“I suppose you were never good at goodbyes.”
“Not really, no.” Sirius chuckled.
Y/n smiled, “I know you aren’t happy here. You were never happy here.” Sirius interrupted before she could continue, “You could give Remus a run for his money.”
“Listen, Sirius, please.” She pleaded, and Sirius looked at her eyes; he’d miss them, “All I ask, is that you take care of yourself. Regulus and I, we’ll manage. But you should say goodbye to him too….”
“Go get him.”
It took minutes, but Regulus was eventually standing in front of his older brother, one leg out of the window and the other inside his bedroom. Y/n stood behind them, arms crossed with tears streaming down her cheeks silently. Regulus looked like he wanted to cry, but he didn’t. Sirius didn’t care anymore. Silver trails ran down his cheeks, especially when Regulus hugged his older brother with all his strength.
“I'm going to miss you.”
Sirius sniffled, “I’ll miss you a hundred times more.”
“Impossible.” Y/n interjected, smiling.
Regulus and Sirius pulled apart, Regulus now standing beside his twin, “I need you to know,” Sirius began, looking at Regulus, “James isn’t your replacement. He is nothing compared to you. You’re my brother, always.”
“And you,” He turned to Y/n after Regulus nodded, “You’re my baby sister, through and through. Just because I’m leaving doesn’t mean you can give me detention.”
They chuckled, and possibly for the last time, “Always.”
“Forever.”
“Together.”
Sirius gave a watery smile and finished the jump out his window. Wordlessly Y/n shut it behind him. Regulus stood in front of the glass pane until Sirius was out of sight and gave a heavy sigh. Y/n was standing right beside him, leaning her head on his shoulder.
“I knew it was going to happen. I just wish it wasn’t so soon.” Regulus whispered, “I know.” Y/n agreed.
Regulus took her hand, “Forever.”
“Together.” Y/n replied, squeezing his hand.
So many they lost their always, but they still had each other. The next night at dinner was dreadful. Possibly the worst one yet, “Where is he!”
“I- I don’t know.” Y/n answered, cowering away, her hand rubbing her forearm.
Walburga looked at Regulus, and he shook his head, “Where is Sirius?”
“Gone.” Walburga replied to her husband, who gave a mere shrug at the answer, “Our heir is gone, Orion! What are we going to do now.”
“The reasonable thing, Y/n is next in line.”
Walburga scoffed, “Absolutely not.”
Regulus reached for his sister's hand after noticing the tears collecting in her eyes, “She is a disgrace! Just like Sirius!”
Orion put down the daily prophet, looking at his wife across the table, “What would you like me to do about it?”
“Regulus!” The boy stiffened, “You are our next heir.”
“No!” Y/n exclaimed, her rage taking over, “That isn’t how it works! I’m the next in line, disgrace or not. I'm older than Regulus.”
Walburga pulled out her wand, but Y/n didn’t flinch, “With that courage, you should be in Gryffindor.” The older woman seethed.
“You feel no remorse, do you?” Y/n asked, but she did; Godric, Walburga hated herself, “Putting your wand to my neck like I’m some training dummy.”
“How do you think we feel! Our older brother is gone! The one who took care of us because our parents can’t.”
Y/n had tears flowing down her cheeks, “How do you think we feel?”
The girl stood up from the table without being dismissed after letting go of Regulus’ hand, “I saw the tapestry.”
“You burned him from it! What kind of monster are you?! He’s your son regardless of his house. I’ll be your heir, but I will never be your puppet.”
Y/n ran up to her bedroom. Walburga and Orion stared at their son, who sat as stiff as a board. More minutes passed, and Regulus left the table too but not before speaking to his parents, “I’ll- I’ll be your heir. I’ll be your son.”
“Brilliant. Thank you, Regulus.” Walburga smiled.
Regulus lost his brother. He wasn’t losing his sister. But over time, it felt like he was. There was no more laughter in the halls. Only one Black sibling was laughing and smiling - Sirius. There was no more hugging in the halls, no more playing around. Regulus and Y/n were ice. They were cold and in pain. That was the first thing Sirius noticed. His siblings hadn’t stopped by his carriage like usual. It dampened his mood.
“Hey, I’m sure they’re just busy.” James had reassured, but Sirius wasn’t so sure.
It was the first ride to Hogwarts that Sirius was utterly silent. He played with the ribbon in his hand. It was a green ribbon that he carried with him everywhere. The boys never knew what it was or where it came from. They had just discovered that Sirius would fidget with it when he was upset. Remus noticed it first - of course - but James did too, and shortly Peter followed. It was her ribbon, Y/n’s ribbon. A ribbon she wore in her hair when she was seven.
After a bad punishment, Sirius had been given Y/n took care of him. Washed his cuts and plastered them. It was then she learned how much Sirius loved when people did his hair. So she braided it for him and tied it off with her green ribbon. He remembered the way it felt on his fingertips. So perfectly combed and webbed together. It was the reason his hair was long enough to braid. Every Quidditch match, he’d weave it. James asked why once, and Sirius ignored him, but Y/n knew. It was okay to keep secrets sometimes.
Fifth-year for the twins went by smoothly. Sirius’ sixth year was hell. He missed his siblings so much somedays it was hard to get up in the morning. Regardless it was hard to get Sirius out of bed in the morning, but this year was particularly rough. It was like he was in a constant state of Remus after the full moon - tired, fatigued and sad.
He missed Regulus’ smile and Y/n’s laughter. Godric, he missed everything! Sirius cried - sobbed about it at night. His silencing charms weren’t good. It left James and Remus in a tricky spot. It was apparent he didn’t want to talk about it because if he did, he would’ve by now. Remus stopped seeing the twins during prefect rounds and stopped seeing Y/n altogether. It was like she was avoiding them.
The twins did their prefect rounds together, studied together, and only talked to each other. It broke Sirius’ heart. He ruined everything just for his own pleasure. But hadn’t Y/n meant what she said? That she wanted him to be happy? Sirius wasn’t happy. He was far from it.
Regulus had nightmares every night about his parents. About his brother leaving, about everything. So he didn’t sleep most nights, and instead, he threw himself into his studies. Occasionally he’d realized that he had done two essays and then understood that he no longer had to do his brother's homework. Regulus had copies of reports everywhere because it was a habit. A habit he had to lose.
Y/n stopped baking extra cookies. Every Saturday, she’d go to the kitchens to bake a new delicacy the muggle way. Y/n couldn’t help but accidentally bake extra for her Gryffindor brother, only to realize that she wouldn’t give them to him. Instead, she gave them to the house elves to serve after dinner in the Great Hall. They’d appear on the Gryffindor table, and Sirius knew they were a product of her.
During the summer holiday of 1977, Regulus began to notice that Y/n gone often. Walburga would send her away, or Orion would make her run an errand. Regardless Y/n wasn’t around as much. Was she going to run like Sirius? Walburga and Orion sent her to Auror training. Y/n was young, too young for this training. It was Auror training, but they weren’t training her to work for the Ministry. They were preparing for her to become a death eater.
Weeks passed, and Regulus felt saddened by her absence. So one day at dinner, he spoke up, “Why haven’t you been present at home?”
Y/n chuckled, “Are you serious? You haven’t told him?”
“What- What do you mean?” Regulus questions suspiciously.
Walburga coughed, “She’s been put into training.”
“Training?”
“Auror training.”
“But not to be an Auror, to be a death eater.”
Y/n scoffed, “Bullshit, tell him the real reason.”
She looked at both her parents, “They don’t want me anymore. They send me away because it’s easier than disowning me, like Sirius.”
“N- No.” Regulus denied, “Mum, tell me that she’s lying.”
Silence, “Answer me, please.” Regulus pleaded as a water film glossed his grey eyes.
“She’s not lying.” Orion stated, and Regulus let his tears fall down his cheeks, “No! I won’t let you take her from me!”
Regulus stood up, and his chair flipped behind him, “If you disown her, you disown me!”
“Reggie…”
“No! Please no!” Regulus was clawing at his hair, sobbing, “Don’t take her too….” He whimpered.
Y/n began to stand up until Walburga sent a spell her way, throwing her back. It just made Regulus cry more. He couldn’t. He wouldn’t. They were sixteen! This wasn’t fair. So Regulus stood up and held back his tears. Walburga held her wand to his throat, making Y/n nervous. But Regulus was cold, ice cold. Hastily he grabbed his mother's wand and snapped it. Y/n didn’t have time to gape. Regulus ran to her, and they ran.
Through the front door to anywhere else in the dark of the night. Orion was too busy with his wife to realize his children were gone. Y/n was sure they were miles away before they stopped. No magic could be done. They weren’t seventeen yet. They’d have to survive without magic. But then she heard it. A howl. It was a risk, a big one, but they had to take it.
She took her brother's hand and began running towards it, “Y/n, where are we going?”
“To whatever is howling.”
“Are you mental?”
“Maybe.” Y/n shrugged.
Suddenly he saw it. That look Sirius always had. She looked free, happy, and mischievous. Suddenly she wasn’t Y/n Black. She was just Y/n. His twin sister. The girl that would beg her brothers to adventure with her, to trust her blindly. That’s what he was doing now - trusting her blindly. They must’ve been miles away. Regulus didn’t even know how they got that far, but in the forest, the howling got louder.
But at the edge of the forest was a black dog, guarding the entrance to the woods, making sure that no one entered. The stag was taking care of the werewolf. They took turns. One full moon, the dog, was to stand guard, next the stag. Y/n cried upon seeing the animal. She dropped to her knees, and Regulus knelt beside her. The dog looked familiar and gave them both great kisses. They fell asleep together. Y/n, Regulus and the dog.
The following morning, James went back out to the forest after realizing Padfoot was missing. At the entrance of the forest, he saw them. The Black trio. So he left them. Sirius knew the way back; it wasn’t worth ruining their moment. Regulus stirred awake first and woke the dog. The dog left a multitude of kisses on the twins. Y/n woke up shortly after.
Regulus was appalled to see the dog turn into his older brother but happy nonetheless, “Sirius!”
“Reggie.” Sirius replied, holding him close.
They parted, and Sirius kissed his forehead, “How?”
“The howling.”
“How did you leave?”
“I snapped mum’s wand.”
Sirius looked flabbergasted, “Really?”
“She- She was going to separate us. I didn’t- I couldn’t lose another sibling.” Regulus admitted, and Sirius took him into his arms again, “Never again. I promise.”
Y/n chuckled, “Looks like we’re all runaways.”
Sirius grabbed her into the hug, “But we’re doing it together.”

Tumblr media
the loud obnoxious pop music blasting in the crowded bar around kenma made him want to fling himself into the moon at the nearest opportunity.
okay, so that was a little dramatic but the fact still stood.
he was crammed into a tiny booth with kuroo, bokuto, and akaashi, the former brushing up against him with every little movement, making kenma bristle in discomfort.
why the hell did i agree to this, kenma thought while sipping on his cranberry juice. he’d never enjoyed drinking, his true thoughts and feelings coming out way too easily once intoxicated. it was so infuriating being a lightweight, especially when everyone around him was disgustingly drunk.
“are you having fun kenma?” bokuto half yelled, half slurred into his ear from across the table. kenma slouched further into the booth’s stained cushions in response, his lack of answer not bothering bokuto in the slightest.
with the boisterous man’s attention successfully diverted by akaashi, kenma allowed his eyes to wander out over the dance floor but he wasn’t really paying them any mind. instead, his mind was occupied with none other than you.
it shouldn’t have been that surprising considering all the time he’d been spending with you recently. it had been a few months since the hyper house had disbanded and while you were enjoying your time living with your best friends, they had way too much sex. like an abnormal amount.
it had gotten to the point where you were having to abscond from the apartment four times a week because they were just so loud.
at first you had found refuge in the 24 hour cafe a few blocks from your place but falling asleep at a hard wood table only to have to walk home at 2am alone was terrible for your peace of mind (and your back).
you’d started complaining about it at your weekly animal crossing hang outs with kenma and he’d offered the brilliant solution of you coming over to his place when makki and mattsun were otherwise... occupied.
you were shocked at his suggestion and aptly so. it was no news that kenma absolutely hated hosting and having people over, especially since he was one of the few former members that were able to afford their own place straight out the gate.
when you’d expressed this, all he had said was, you’re different.
that wasn’t enough for you, evidenced by your once again nightly stays at the cafe but when you had to run home because someone was following you, you begrudgingly agreed to kenma’s offer and started sleeping at his house multiple times a week.
it was a bit to get used to at first, seeing you first thing in the morning with messy hair and sleep-swollen eyes. you were beautiful jarring. but, as time passed, he got used to your presence, making your drink of choice and sliding him his tea in the morning, sending him a soft smile that had him running to the bathroom to hide his blush.
it was all... strangely domestic.
even now, the thought of you in your threadbare sleep shirt, standing in his kitchen while cooking breakfast sent a wave of heat across his face, spreading up to the tips of his ears.
“what are you thinking about that’s got you so red?” kuroo teased, pulling the glass out of kenma’s hands, laughing at his annoying glare. he hoped he could ignore the question as he so often did, but apparently he wasn’t so lucky.
bokuto cackled in his seat before calling out your name, sending a chill of fear down kenma’s spine. “bet he’s thinkin about her! about how he wants to smooch her and maybe more,” he waggled his eyebrows, “i’m just saying!”
the rest of the table let out good natured laughs but kenma was preoccupied with replaying what bokuto had said.
i mean, sure he thought you were pretty, but anyone with eyes would agree! and yeah, maybe spending time with you was the highlight of his week, but it wasn’t his fault you were so genuinely enjoyable to be around. and of course, sometimes when it was late at night, his mind would wander to you and how it would feel to wake up beside you instead of across the hall from you and—
fuck. he liked you. a lot.
then, as if you somehow knew exactly what was on his mind (a terrifying thought to entertain), his phone buzzed in his hoodie pocket. he pulled it out quickly to check it and he hated how his heart picked up in his chest at the sight of your contact name.
[sussy baka <3]: wya shawty 🤨 u have no food in ur fridge n m hungry seen 13:20
[player ew]: s boys night seen 13:22
[sussy baka <3]: 😐
[sussy baka <3]: are u having fun seen 13:25
[player ew]: ... seen 13:28
[sussy baka <3]: yeah that’s what i thought
[sussy baka <3]: bring home some ramen <3 seen 13:31
home. god, if he didn’t like the sound of that coming from you. it took kenma no time at all to start packing up his things, ignoring the knowing looks on his friends faces as he tossed down a couple of bills for his drink and left to go home, where you were.
after stopping at the convenient store, he headed to his apartment building, shopping bag full of ramen in one hand and heart in the other.
no matter what he did, he couldn’t get bokuto’s annoying voice out of his head, telling him that he liked you. and now that he knew it was true? he was kind of spiraling.
the ding of the elevator managed to somehow shake him out of his thoughts, at least for him to get to his front door, but once it was open, all coherent brain activity immediately dissolved.
you were sitting on his couch in the living room, bundled up in one of his mario blankets and wearing one of his hoodies as you watched some animal documentary raptly, sheer disgust written all over your face.
kenma gulped.
he managed to work up the courage to actually enter his apartment, kicking off his shoes by the door and beelining towards the kitchen, not missing your excited call of his name and wide grin.
biting down any other unchecked feelings, he quickly set to work boiling the water for the ramen and then... stood there. boiling water would take a while and he knew he couldn’t avoid you forever but he really, really didn’t want to go sit by you with all these emotions sitting right on his chest.
“kenma, they’re gonna eat the seal!” you yelled from the couch, waving him over frantically. how was he supposed to say no to brutal animal murder on tv? kenma chuckled dryly at his own joke as he made his way over to where you sat, plopping himself on the side of the couch furthest away from you.
he told himself he just didn’t want to bug you when he had to go check the water but he knew it was a lie. he was running from his feelings, from anything that could ruin this.
you shot him a concerned look which he caught out of the corner of his eye but he kept his head firmly forward, unwilling to look at you if he didn’t have to. “kenma, what’s wrong? was boys night that bad?” you asked gently, and fuck if that didn’t make him feel worse.
kenma just shook his head, still choosing not to face you. you let out a long, arduous sigh before scooting across the couch and pressing yourself to his side, pulling his head down to rest on your chest while taking one of his hands into your own.
what the fuck. what the fuck?!1!?1!!?1!
you were so soft and warm and your arms around him made him feel things which was exactly what he was trying to avoid but then you actually started to speak and oh shit it got worse.
“kenma,” you started, running your hands through his deep brown locks, “you know you can talk to me about anything right?”
of course he knew that because this was you and you were so kind and considerate and badass and cool and that was all precisely why he couldn’t talk to you about everything, especially when it came to his emperor of the cosmos sized feelings for you.
but, instead of saying any of that, he allowed you to continue, his body relaxing into your hold against his will.
“i bother you because i care about you and i worry, you know. i know you’re strong and you can take care of yourself but i can’t help it...” if kenma was really listening, he would’ve heard the shakiness in your voice, the apprehension in your words but he didn’t. “i can’t help it because i like you, kenma.”
you... what?
kenma pushed himself off of you to look you in the face, to find any sign that you’re pranking him or just being cruel but he couldn’t find any.
still, he couldn’t take you at your word, after all who would like someone like him?
“say it again,” his voice comes just under a whisper, his words stilted and unsure but he needs to know, he needs to believe you. he wants to believe you.
“i like you.” you don’t use any big, flowery words, nor do you try and justify why you like him and still, somehow it’s enough. kenma’s eyes filled with tears as they’re trained on you but your eyes were occupied elsewhere.
staring at his lips.
“can i kiss you?” you asked softly, not pressuring or forceful but like that was truly just on your mind and you had to ask it. kenma wasn’t sure how he was supposed to resist when you asked him like that. “please,” was his response, already breathy and absolutely wrecked.
you obliged.
•••smut begin•••
surging forward, you pressed your mouth to his, soft lips meeting chapped ones as you moved them insistently against his own. kenma let out an embarrassing whine at the contact, his hands balling into fists by his sides.
yours, on the other hand, wandered, tracing over the hills and valleys of his chest and back before landing right under the hem of his hoodie. you pulled back, laughing quietly at the way he so eagerly chased your lips while halting him with a hand to his sternum.
“can i take this off?” kenma nodded enthusiastically before he could stop himself and you let out another soft huff as you busied yourself with getting him naked.
he tried to help you where he could, but he was ultimately resigned to bask in your movements, in your control as you manhandled him out of every article of clothing he was wearing until he was as naked as the day he was born.
immediately, the insecurities took hold of him, his mouth opening to stutter out an apology for how he looked. meiko’s voice played in his ears, reminding him he wasn’t what the girls went for being too skinny, too sensitive, too loud.
kenma moved to pick his clothes back up to cover himself before retreating to his room where he could die of shame but your firm hand kept him where he sat.
“you’re beautiful,” you said, like you were saying the sky was blue or the grass was green — as an irrefutable fact. your brows were furrowed at first but the expression melted away to show a softer one, one full of love, admiration, and... lust.
a high-pitched whimper left his lips at your gaze, his cock throbbing against his thigh. you grinned and moved back in to kiss him, your hand moving to his throat to hold him in place, his adam’s apple bobbing against your palm.
your other, unoccupied, hand traveled down his body to rub over a nipple, his back arching into your touch as his breath hitched against your mouth. you let out a hum of approval, continuing your ministrations of pinching and plucking the hard bud before moving further down to take a hold of his cock.
kenma broke away from you, a choked wail erupting from his chest as he bucked up into your grip. “can i make you feel good? can i show you how beautiful you are?” you asked earnestly, your thumb gently caressing his jaw.
“please, please, please,” he begged. under normal circumstances, he would be embarrassed at how easily he’d been folding for you, but it was so much easier to just submit to your capable and willing hands.
“good boy,” you tacked on mindlessly, your blown eyes and kiss-swollen lips only adding to your debauched look. internally, kenma preened at the fact that he was responsible for you looking like that, so feral like you just wanted to eat him up.
which was apparently exactly what you wanted to do, evidenced by you sliding onto your knees in front of him, pressing kisses and sucking marks into his pale thighs.
kenma’s hips stuttered beneath you as he watched you get closer and closer to his throbbing member, the tip already bright red and leaking precum.
suddenly, your eyes shot up to his, pinning him with an intense stare as you slowly, slowly brought him to your mouth, the wet heat enveloping the head before you closed your lips around him and sucked.
holy fucking shit.
his reaction was instantaneous. his eyes rolled back into his head, his hips bucked up into your mouth, and a filthy moan escaped from him as you started to get into a nice rhythm sucking his cock.
kenma could barely keep himself quiet, especially when you began toying with his balls, the feeling adding to the coil tightening in his gut.
you pulled all the way off of him before sucking him down the hilt, his mouth opening in a silent scream as you choked around his length, the pleasure that your throat was bringing while you pulsed around him was otherworldly.
he was going to die, he resigned. he was going to die by the biggest orgasm he’d ever had with his penis in your mouth and he was going to love every second of it.
a sharp tap to his inner thigh brought him back down to earth, this bleary eyes trying to focus on your face and once they did, he was taken aback. your eyes held such fondness, such love that he could hardly take it.
kenma couldn’t hold back his thoughts, especially under the intensity of your gaze, his mouth opening to gasp out, “i love you, shit, i love you.”
you pulled off him with a pop but you didn’t stop stroking him, your hand picking up the pace to the point that his thighs were quivering with the strength of his oncoming orgasm.
“say it again,” you threw his words right back at him and if he’d been in his right mind, he might’ve laughed but since he was drowning in pleasure, he immediately followed your orders, groaning out those three words over and over until he was hoarse.
you seemed to enjoy it, so much so that you took the palm of your hand and toyed with the sensitive tip of his cock, sending him right over the edge.
his vision whited out completely as he came with a loud cry of your name, tears trailing from his lashline from the sheer severity of his orgasm, one hand grasped tightly in yours.
•••smut over•••
as kenma came down from his high, he watched you brush his hair from his face before pressing a kiss to his hairline.
“you know, i love you too,” you stated, pulling him up to rest his spent body against your own. he scoffed while playing with your hand, toying with your bare ring finger in a way that you knew was deliberate.
“i figured, you just sucked my dick.” you protested loudly, smacking him gently on the arm when he snickered at your reaction. after your laughter died down, he rested his head back over your heart, listening to the steady beat thrumming beneath his ear.
your hands tangled back into his hair and he felt himself drifting off into dreamland when a loud meow startled him awake again. kyabia (or caviar) stared up at him with unblinking feline eyes, her tail swishing silently against the floor. “oh god, my cat is seeing me naked,” he gasped in horror, your chest heaving against his ear as you cackled.
kyabia quickly got bored and scampered off to who knows where and by that time, kenma was ready to knock back out. you were still laughing though and since you were his human pillow, that just wouldn’t do.
shoving you down on the couch, he buried his head in your chest and muttered a blunt, “sleep,” ignoring the way your giggle made a smile spread across his cheeks.
obviously, you could tell if your own matching grin was anything to go by but you let it be, instead choosing to wrap your arms around him and hold him tighter to your body, like you were trying to pour all your love into the embrace.
kenma only hoped that you would also “let it be” when you caught him ring shopping on his phone just a few weeks later.
it was only a matter of time. why delay when he loved you and you loved him? he knew he couldn’t wait until he could officially call you his.
after all, kozume yn had a nice ring to it.

warnings: nsfw! eventual smut, slow burn, john being sexy as all hell but also soft
John couldn’t tear his eyes off of you. From the moment you walked into the Garrison, arm loosely linked with Ada’s, clad in a black lace dress that hugged you just right, he couldn’t stop staring. Even Tommy and Arthur had noticed, cracking some joke about him being pussy whipped. The words floated right over his head, his mind on one thing only. The last time he had seen you, you were barely eighteen, cheeks pink as you waved goodbye out the train window to Ada as she sobbed. Ada had always had a flair for the dramatic, but the two of you had practically been attached at the hip your entire lives. So, he consoled her, reminding her that university wasn’t forever, that you would be back soon enough. And back, you were, red-stained lips sipping at a glass of something that Ada had practically shoved in your face. You weren’t a girl anymore, black heels crossed at the ankle as you sat across the room in a booth, laughing as Ada waved her arms, telling some sort of story.
“Just fuckin’ talk to ‘er, John-boy,” Arthur’s voice cut through John’s train of thought like a sharp knife, and he focused his eyes on his two brothers sitting at the booth across from him, clouds of smoke from Tommy’s incessant smoking heavy in the air around them.
“Fuck off,” John returned as he stood, earning a chuckle from Tommy.
“That’s right,” Arthur shouted as John made his way towards the bar, rolling his eyes at his older brothers. “Make sure you show her a real good time, eh?” Arthur’s voice was soon drowned out by the crowd around John, as they parted to let him walk through. He didn’t even see them, his eyes trained on your smile. Fuck, you were pretty.
***
“So, then I fucking kicked him in the balls.” Ada’s eyes sparkled triumphantly as she recalled the time she’d incited a riot, managing to cause great injury to a certain part of a policeman’s body. She did so casually, like it was no big deal. You couldn’t control your laughter as Ada grinned, pleased that she’d been able to make you laugh. “Fuckin’ missed you, Y/N,” she professed, shooting the rest of her gin and gesturing at the bartender to “leave the fuckin’ bottle, already.”
“Missed you too,” you smiled back at her, happy to be back in Birmingham in the company of an old friend. London was beautiful, but lonely. There was something inside you that missed the dirty streets, the crowded pubs bursting with familiar faces.
“Had to come over here myself to make sure it was you,” A deep voice interrupted your reverie and you looked up to see none other than Ada’s older brother John, looking even handsomer than the last time you’d seen him, in a grey-three piece suit, a cigar hanging from his lips. You’d had the hugest crush on him growing up, and the butterflies swimming around in your stomach seemed to confirm that you still found the tallest Shelby brother irresistible.
“Hi, John,” You offered him a shy smile and scooched over as he slid into the booth next to you, leaning in to press a chaste kiss to your cheek. You couldn’t help but drink in the smell of his cologne, the various drinks that Ada had encouraged you to down making you press yourself closer to him.
“M’kay, if you’re going to fuck, at least wait until I’m gone.” Ada’s voice snapped you out of it and you looked away, a pink blush staining your cheeks.
“Says the one who managed to fuck three of my best mates before you left school,” John retorted, causing Ada to roll her eyes, shooting her whiskey and pouring the three of you another glass each.
“I feel like getting drunk, and I’m not doing it alone,” Ada announced, causing both you and John to crack a smile at her forcefulness.
“Good thing we took a cab here,” you returned, before shooting your whiskey. If you were going to have to stare at John all night, you thought, you might as well be drunk doing it. Wasn’t like he was going to be staring back.
***
Ada was shitfaced, dancing in the middle of the pub. Luckily, Isaiah had stepped in as her partner, making sure her stumbling didn’t cause her to trip and fall. Unluckily for you, this left a tipsy you and John alone tucked into a booth in the corner of the room, out of view. The conversation was friendly, and you were trying your best to keep your mind off the way you could see John’s forearms practically bulging out of his suit. It wasn’t fair, you thought to yourself, for him to walk around looking like that. Especially when you knew that he was probably fucking the latest movie star, or something. It was almost impossible for you to keep your head straight, yet you managed to keep it civil. However, you couldn’t help your gaze from drifting to his lips. God, they were so pink and looked so soft, it was unfair. You couldn’t stop yourself from imagining how they’d feel on your mouth, let alone other parts of your body. Jesus, you were fucked.
A third of a bottle of whiskey later, you couldn’t help but let yourself slide closer to him, heart beating fast in your chest as you sat tucked into his side, his arm around you as you laughed at a joke he’d made, something about the stick up Tommy’s ass. Your eyes shone as they met his blue ones, his arm sliding down until his fingers were brushing against your waist, radiating heat into your skin.
“Y’know, I’d tell you how fuckin’ pretty you look tonight, but I think you already know that,” John rumbled into your ear, lips just barely brushing against your neck. Your breath hitched, and he noticed, a small grin spreading across his lips.
“You’re something else, you know that?” You shot back, a small smile threatening to take over your lips.
“M’not just sayin’ that. Couldn’t take my eyes off ‘ya, since you walked in.” John wasn’t kidding. For a second you didn’t know how to reply, staring up at him with a slight look of disbelief. The whiskey, however, had other plans, and had decided to respond for you.
“Can't keep your hands off me now." You smirked, waiting for him to escalate the moment, anticipation and liquor silencing the blaring alarm in your mind. God, you shouldn't want him as badly as you do.
"Can you blame me?" He muttered, dragging his fingers across the lace of your dress, tracing the pattern's loops absentmindedly, watching your jaw tense and lips part to take a gasping breath, your jacket having long vanished into the chaos of the pub. Your arms wound themselves around his neck, fingers twisting into his short hair. "Fucking come 'ere lass."
His strong arms lifted you onto his knee, gripping a thigh to help you balance, the friction of his rough hand against the stiff fabric pushing your dress up slightly. The need for more and the desire to know him completely intoxicated you far more than anything from a bottle; you'd never felt as though you were on fire from your drunk hookups. His fingers found the zip of your dress, tugging it down desperately, gripping the flesh of your exposed shoulder blades. A small groan erupted from your lips as you felt him chuckle below you, pressing a thumb to your lips to quieten you.
"John," you whined, pouting playfully against his thumb.
"I'll sort you out, I swear," He muttered, slipping his thumb between your lips. Instinctively, you sucked, locking eyes with him, his hand straying from your back to roughly grab your jaw, holding your gaze. "But if you're going to scream your 'ead off, we'll get caught."
"You wish you could make me scream, John-lad."
"Come off it, I could ruin you, Y/N." He stated, lifting your jaw, as though memorising the construction of your face, tone brimming with a cocky confidence only John could make attractive. "You want that?"
"More than anything." The words tumbled out of your mouth thoughtlessly, watching how his jaw tightened in response as you attempted to read his expression. He studied you for what must've only been a few seconds, but the moment passed so slowly, you could barely remember what it felt like to not be examined by his dominating blue eyed stare.
His grip guided your face to his, fingers tilting your chin so John's lips could brush against yours, before pulling you into a heated almost aggressive kiss, the straps of your dress barely grazing your shoulders, the hem of your dress bunching around your waist as he reached down your back to grab your bum in a firm squeeze. Your mouth gaped open in a gasp of pleasure, John taking the moment to run his tongue against your lips, gaining access and deepening the kiss. You were so caught up in the thrill of John's seduction that you hadn't noticed his hand suddenly pull away after moving your skimpy underwear to one side. You had instinctively ground your hips against him, he'd broken the kiss to let out a string of curses, complimenting you through his quickening breaths (“Fuckin’ wet for me already, aye?”), gripping your thigh. But as soon as he had pulled the thin silk from your thighs, the atmosphere shifted, his lip curling in frustration as his hands left your skin as though your flesh was suddenly scalding.
"John?" You prompted, resting a hand on his shoulder, noticing the dark shadows under his eyes for the first time.
"It's getting late."
"What?" Your voice sounded high and whiny, you mentally scolded yourself for sounding so needy. It was embarrassing to be rejected by the man you've admired for many years, but even worse to be openly vulnerable and so pathetic in front of your best friend's brother.
Ada.
Oh fuck.
Realisation hit you, it was either that or the unholy quantity of alcohol you'd downed which turned your stomach. You had gone too far this time. It was one thing to flirt with John and desire him from a distance, it was an absolute betrayal to have sex with him, knowing Ada's insecurity about being used to get close to her gangster brothers- sex, power and politics. You had sworn during those tearful walks around the canal that you'd never hurt her. You couldn't do that to her.
Your sudden panic must've been obvious, you tried to stand up from John's lap, stumbling slightly, only regaining balance due to a sudden arm across your back, anchoring you upright.
"No one has to know. It's our secret yeah?" He muttered into your ear, his words comforting.
You nodded silently, the reality of the situation settling in. Your hands are shaking by your sides, John catches them, locking his fingers with yours.
"It's fine, now. Nothing happened yeah?" He stood up in front of you, his muscular physique looming before you, the creases across his torso reminding you that just a few minutes ago his body was under yours, he was breathless, needing your skin against his, desperate and vulnerable. "I'll zip you up. Turn around."
His hands dropped from yours to fumble clumsily with your zip, struggling in the gloom and fog of intoxication, he eventually succeeded, the lace clinging to the curve of your hips, waist, back and chest again. You wished it was him instead that was skimming your figure but you pushed the thought away with a simple, "Thanks."
"I'll walk you home yeah?" He offered, as he straightens your skirt and his tie, allowing you to fix his crumpled shirt collar and the row of shining buttons below his throat which you'd ripped open as he whispered dirty nonsense in your ear, smirking at how you arched your back and swore back at him through your moans.
"Isaiah already said he would, it'd be better for us both that way. You know how people around here talk." You replied, glancing at the mirror on the wall of the booth to quickly smooth your tousled hair. Despite only recently returning to Small Heath, you'd already encountered the rife gossiping and quickly realised your neighbour was incapable of minding his own business. "Nobody has to know, right?"
John nodded, disappointed but appreciating your rationale and quick thinking despite your state, "Right."
"Good night, John," You said politely, ignoring the tension in his tone and the sudden soft sadness of his eyes, turning your back and walking to the door. Back to the sticky dance floor, back to Ada, Isaiah, Finn, Tokyo, back to spilling drinks, ashing cigarettes, back to noise, safety and far from the man who made your morals vanish with the same lines he uses on probably every single one of his conquests. Fuck it. You were going to enjoy it, you sped up your pace in your heels, trying to ignore your shaking legs. You tried to ignore the guilty twang in your gut when Ada screamed your name across the pub and stumbled over, dragging some lad on her arm, pressing drunken kisses to your forehead and cheeks.
You couldn't help but look back to see his shadow sloping away into the darkness of the booths closer to the dance floor, being bullied mercilessly by his brothers you assumed. You watched him fake a smirk, take the knuckles to his brow from Arthur, snap an insult back to Thomas and settle into his rightful seat. You only shifted your gaze to Ada for a moment but when you looked back up, he was staring at you, jaw tense, icy stare burning into yours, arms folded on the table, the gold chains of his sleeve garters barely glinting in the dim light. He looked away but you could see his cheeks were flushed with blood even in the glow of the oil lamps.
Pretending nothing happened was going to be impossible.

Stay with Me pt.3
Summary - You manage to escape from Scaramouche, if only for a moment before you realize there’s no escape. It only takes until you’re sitting back in your regular spot that you know what you need to do.
Pairings - Kitsune!Reader x Yan!Scaramouche
Warnings - Suggestive content, mentions of death, swearing, slight gore / blood
A/N - Its really hard to make this depressing while I’m vibing to Rasputin. Like no joke- I have it on one of the 1 hour playlists :D
Here you’ll find -  pt.1 and pt.2
He’d left a key.
Scaramouche didnt make mistakes, not while he had you captive in the vicinity of his bedroom. He didnt have room for mistakes, not when you were watching his every movement while he was in your line of sight.
Sure, he mightve killed a person or two in front of you, but those were necessary mistakes. There was a sign on the door, it specified not to enter. You’d understand that, right?
Thats what he thought at least, lulling himself into belief after belief that you’d be there waiting for him every time. That you’d welcome him with open arms, even if there were chains ensnaring your wrists. That you’d accept your fate at his hands and submit yourself to him.
The Balladeer was a fool.
He’d kept you there for too long, and while you searched for an easy way to escape, time sent your head spinning. Into a spiral that begged only for the wind against your face, back laying on dirt with the familiar chirping up birds waking you up in the morning.
You wanted to go outside.
And when push comes to shove, you had to risk a little more to make it happen. Lure him into bed with kisses while your hands unbuttoned his vest. But what he believed to be alluring contacts was just your way of finding the keys hidden in the back pocket of his shorts.
It wasnt hard to find the one to your cuffs while he was asleep, cuddled in your chest with both arms around your waist as if to get you to stay put. You took the key, hiding them back in his clothing and hoping he didnt notice.
He didnt say anything the next day.
You werent going to wait any longer.
“Oh for fucks sake, why won't the goddamn door open?”
The room was left in tatters behind you, a little gift for Scaramouche once he got back. Turns out a pair of chains can smash up a lot of things, and rage can be used as a great source of strength when contained for such a long time.
But you’d done more than throw the blankets around, cut up the drawers and smash open the windows. Because your fists had bled red when you punched through the glass, puncturing your skin. Your knuckles were an ugly red, bruising already.
Ah, Scaramouche deserved a much better gift.
Gruesome as it was, you rubbed your knuckles against the pale walls. Till the blood stopped coming, till there was a nice little message for the boy which you held so dearly to your heart.
‘Balladeer.’
The first time you’d found out about him being a harbinger he’d told you not to call him by that name. You weren’t someone he associated with by work, you were a treasure to him. That’s why you continued to call him as he pleased, although the temptation always arose.
You were no longer his.
Shoving the door with your hand again, palm fiddling with the handle and groaning when it hardly budged. “Stupid,” you grumbled when the knob began to loosen. Backing up, you charged with your shoulder to the door, full force as the momentum broke the hinges. The door fell down with you along with it.
It was expected, you’d been stuck in the room for a long time, and thats considering you’d sat on the ground for decades. Your body was slight numb, muscles sore and unused for so long.
“You a-arent supposed to leave your room!”
A young man stood in the hallway along with a woman who looked relatively the same age. The two were wearing uniforms, flinching when you stood up from the debris and off the door. “Excuse me?” You asked, voice unnecessarily icy and stern. But you couldnt care less, you were going to get out of this house, damn anyone who stood in your way.
They both continued to shake when you walked towards them, staggering from side to side. The woman stepped up in front of the man, presenting a brave face. “If you leave the mansion, the harbinger will kill us all!”
“Well then I expect you should be on your way then. Actually…” you gestured to the maze of hallways. “You can lead the way.”
“What…?”
Your hand went limp to your side, an exasperated looking momentarily crossing your face before you sighed. “Im not staying trapped in that room, I’m sorry if that ruins your life, but frankly you're not the one stuck in there are you?” You took an extra step just to intimidate them, eyes wide to make the appearance of crazy. “It would be a great help if you showed me where he hid my vision too.”
“We can show you to the door…” The man began, “But the whereabouts of your vision are unknown, he wouldnt tell us something like that.”
A gift bestowed from the gods, a piece to help me thrive with my ambitions and pursue my goals.
Gone.
You really wished you’d taken to clawing out Scaramouche’s face instead, but you’d take what you got. Right now your main priority was getting out of this place, even if it meant leaving a piece of you behind.
“Door.” Your voice was raspy and there was a terrible feeling that crawled up to your throat, but you didnt have time to be emotional. “Show me where the door is… please.”
The conflict in their eyes dissipates by the time they lead you along, mumbling words between themselves. You didnt bother to try eavesdropping, you were so, so tired. You wanted to go home.
Anywhere. Anywhere but here.
It took a few minutes until you were standing in front of a grand door, almost twice the size of you and just as wide. You then began to notice the decorational plants and furniture that filled the empty space, there wasn't an inch of dust. Even though you could tell none of it was used.
“Hurry,” the man warned when you paused. “I dont know when our master is coming back, but if its soon, we’ll all be screwed.”
You couldnt feel your head as you numbly nodded, hand clenching the knob and flinging the set of doors open. “Thank you,” you merely mumbled, taking your first step out of the house in what felt like forever.
The days after that were a blur, the area around Scaramouche’s house were nothing but void. Empty and filled with forests and vast plains. You knew he didnt like people or socializing in general, but to this extent?
Your only option was to run.
Let your feet take you somewhere, anywhere. It was a constant pattern of running and taking breaks, leaning on a tree and gasping in a few breaths before you were again scurrying through the forest.
And yet you felt better than you’d felt in past months that you’d been stuck with Scaramouche.
Food became any boar you came across, the claws you’d spent so long hiding with Scaramouche coming to unleash a wrath beyond your comprehension. Till the animal was cut to shreds and no meat was left even to eat. You’d slaughtered it, without intention to eat or benefit for it, you’d killed it just to kill.
“I’m sorry,” you’d sobbed into the ground where you’d buried the harmless animal. Forehead pressed into the dirt as you pleaded for forgiveness to whatever archons would accept it. You couldn't even remember what archons you were supposed to pray to. “Forgive me- forgive me…”
But eventually you found your way around to somewhere you knew. Territory of Inazuma where you could find your way back, back home.
Where was home?
You’d been on the run from the vision hunt decree, abandoning your post for the Kitsune Saiguu for such a thing. Even now that you could return without a vision and as no threat under the decree…
You’d sacrificed everything for your vision.
Where were you to go now…?
Rain patted down, the trees providing only a slight cover as stray drops fell into your matted dirty hair. You didnt mind, it hid the tears that slid down your lifeless face, feet taking you into the far meadows of your hometown. Till you plopped down underneath a tree, knees curled to your chest and arms hugging them close. You were crying.
You were home.
____________________
“Awh,” a ginger haired murmured, elbow resting on the cool wood of the tabletop. “Is little Mouchie sad? I heard your kitty cat escaped~”
A death wish, even fatui that idly minded themselves around the bar knew it. Sipping cold drinks and swirling their cups, the soft chatter was nothing but a distraction from the main course of events. That being the smaller Harbinger who sat sulking in his seat, hunched over with a drink in hand. He’d drank far more than what was on the counter, but everytime he finished a glass, he’d smash it on the ground, watching the fragile glass shatter into pieces.
“I dont have a cat,'' was his only response, tone daring Childe to pursue further. To give him a reason to start throwing the glass in his face instead.
And Childe was an idiot when it came to challenging someone.
“No cat?” The rest of the drink in the taller harbinger’s glass was gone when he threw his head back. “Hmmm, I cant think of what else could’ve had you so enraptured in returning home then~!”
Scaramouche didnt respond, uneven bangs shadowing the bags under his eyes. “Stronger,” he said instead, elbow on the counter and hand outstretched for something. When there was no movement from the man managing the wine, the harbinger looked up. “I need something stronger to drink,” he repeated, voice seething.
“Of c-course!”
The glass was nestled in Scaramouche’s palm in no time, fingers curling around the circular form to down it in seconds. The drink merely slid down his throat in one movement, alcohol burning his senses. It didn’t matter, he was numbed by the growing rage inside of him.
Finally, he turned to the ginger haired boy, eyes hazily dancing along the counter till it reached his fingertips. Up his hand and along his arm, till Scaramouche was staring right into Childe’s eyes. “They escaped,” he admitted softly. “But it’s alright, because I sent something that’ll bring them back.”
Childe paused, raising his drink up away from his lips to pose a question. Hesitation danced along his features before he brought the glass back, he’d rather not provoke the shorter male any further. Wasn’t like he could interfere anyway.
____________________
“That… that…”
It was preposterous, having returned to that same spot for a day or two and heading back to the hometown you’d once lived in. The one Scaramouche had lived in. There shouldn’t have been an issue, you were solely gathering supplies for the sake of it, ambition driving you to travel far far away.
Out of Inazuma.
It was your new beginning, convincing yourself that you didn't need a vision. Finding some sort of purpose before Scaramouche shattered the vision and your life along with it. You’d seen how people had reacted when it had been ingrained in the statue, neutralized and broken. They lost hope, purpose and aspirations for anything new.
It’s not like the Raiden Shogun took my vision.
But you’d taken that fact for granted, expecting some sort of new start without Scaramouche. A victory, getting away from him just for a split second and getting out of Inazuma altogether, you’d never see him again.
Until you got his message.
“How the hell…” You crushed the note until it was just crumbled paper in your hand, slowly leaning on the stone wall. “Piece of shit… what kind of person even…”
Not only did he manage to find you, but without making his presence known, he’d tugged at your one weakness with an ease that had you down on your knees.
You threw the paper to the ground, deliberate as you stared past the alleyway. Pensive as you considered your options. Damn, what options did you even have? You’d been an idiot to underestimate Scaramouche, he wasn’t a child, you knew that… but archons he seemed like one when he was with you. Shown you a vulnerability he wanted only you to see. But maybe that had been part of his plan all along, until all you believed was his soft demeanor.
He may act like a child, but he’s a harbinger.
You stared down at the crumbled piece of paper in disgust.
Not only that, but he has no regard for human life.
Either way, you’d lived decades more than him. You could face him, you would present yourself to him just as he expected you to. Even when everything in you rejected the idea, sobbed at the thought of returning to that house, those chains. Being locked up and confined only for the purpose of coddling a small boy, a selfish boy, a cruel boy.
Deep breath in, deep breath out.
You’d figure out a way, and this time you wouldn’t rule out the option of his death.
———————
Oh darling Y/n, how have you been?
I hope this letter reaches you rather soon, we both have much to discuss, no? About me, about you, and much more. You see, I’ve taken up quite a distaste to your little friends. Stone statues in Inazuma as small as Kitsunes truly hold no purpose, what will they do, come back to life? Haha, I should think not. I’ve already arranged to have them demolished, who knows what kind of material they might possess. Ah, and of course I’d show you the finishing product, unless you’re willing to come and have a chat with me once more? Under the Sakura tree like we used to, you’ve waited years, I believe you can wait for me?
I hope this letter reaches you in best interests. I’m always looking out for you after all.
Sincerely, your Balladeer
——————
It was raining.
Beautiful weather as you lay sitting there, feet crossed and tucked in the same you’d often do. After all, there was no need to fear the vision hunt decree or the Raiden Shogun. Let them come, let them take care of you before Scaramouche did.
You werent cold, not when the cold drops dampened your clothing, slipping down the length of your spine and drenching your face. Despite having lived in a luxury residency for such a long time, this was where you were most comfortable, enduring whatever the weather had for you, taking it with a smile. Because you were waiting…
The Kitsune Saiguu was a distant memory.
You were waiting for Scaramouche, the young boy that often bound into the field in lengthy strides, childlike wonder in his eyes. The one who’d cried when the other kids pushed him away, the one that just wanted to be praised. You’d held him in your arms, and now, even knowing the results, you wouldnt have done differently.
He was just a boy.
Just a boy when he joined the fatui, looking for praise that he was given. He created chaos and bellowed orders with a cruelty that was highly looked upon. Told that he was doing well, so he continued to do so.
He’s just a boy.
You wished you’d held him in your arms, if not only for a tad longer. Shield him away from the wrongness of the world, if only for one last time.
Banishing away your hatred for him was hard.
But you found it under the tree, rain soon dimming down to a clouded cold breeze that swept through the meadow. You’d hated him while stuck in the mansion, but you could now see it from a larger point of view. What he did was wrong of course, but you could remember him so vividly now. His small form giggling, tiny arms around your neck.
“Play with me!”
Was it your fault?
For not holding him tighter? For trying to rectify his bad doings and teach him what was wrong and right? Maybe if your grip was firmer, if you’d spoken to him about the warmth he’d given you that day when playing cards...
“Lazy ass.”
Burying down that pile of worry and insecurities, you took a deep breath in to relax. The edge of your lip perked up, only slightly. “Still terrible with your social skills arent you?”
Slowly securing a dry space under the three with you, Scaramouche sat down. His features were the same ones you’d grown accustomed to at his mansion. Rich clothes, sharp eyes, and the baby face that refused to go away. His movements were soft as he pulled out a deck of cards. The two of you didnt speak as he distributed them between you both. It was tense… no, it felt too much like the warmth form long ago to be tense. You only wished the situation to be different.
“I love you.”
But you could only offer a bitter smile to his words. “I love my vision,” you replied. “I love the Kitsune Saiguu, and I love my friends.”
His touch was gentle when his fingers came to gently cradle your cheek. Holding your face dearly as he peered into your eyes, his were soft. Different from the cruelty he held within, the hatred that burned and destruction that seeked to explode.
You saw a little boy.
Your hand came to press his hand further against your cheek, till you slid his palm to your lips. He appeared so calm when you pressed the first kiss, lips tracing the lines along his palm with all the care in the world.
But you needed to change your view, see him as the man he now was. As the man he had become.
“I love you,” he repeated, and you let go of his hand. It fell limp by his side, cards all but forgotten. There was a much more pressing matter at hand, because you truly needed to see him as he was.
It was necessary if you planned to kill him.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
pov. you have a crush on your brother’s best friend
request. Hi! Congrats on 2.4k!!🤩 For the event, may I request an au where reader is Yuuta’s sister? Can be gn/fem reader anything is fine. And they fall in love with Toge? Fluff fluff fluff please
notes. awww i love this request, i have a fat crush on toge so i enjoyed writing this! i made this a modern high school au, by the way!
Tumblr media
You stare disappointedly at the black wrappings of your bento, sighing because your brother took the wrong one again. Waving goodbye to your friend, you made your way to your brother’s classroom, knocking on the door to get his attention. However, it isn’t your brother who’d stopped laughing mid-conversation. Instead, it’s a familiar-looking platinum haired guy, his purple eyes glimmering with mischief as he slapped your brother’s arm.
“Yo, Yuta, I think someone’s looking for you,” you heard him say.
Meanwhile, you just stood there blankly, your throat growing dry because he was cute – like actually handsome boy-next-door cute.
You’ve met lots of cute guys before, but they were all very immature that you found no interest in others. He, on the other hand, was nothing less of polite, shooting up from his seat because your stupid brother was too invested in his video games. The guy flashed you a bright smile, the beauty of his face up close enhanced that you felt your heart squealing.
Not that you’d ever show that, of course, so you just reciprocated with a polite smile to hide your frantic nerves.
“Hi! You here for Yuta-kun?”
“Y-yes.”
Before he could speak, an arm had shoved him aside. Yuta stood before you, his frown apparent while his friend stayed at the side, a smile still playing on his lips. It took all your energy to not stare at him too much in fear he’d easily read through you.
“Hey, what are you doing here?”
“You swapped lunches with me,” you shoved the black bento box to his chest, stepping closer to your brother to whisper in his ear. “Is that a friend of yours?”
“Yeah, he’s Toge. He used to play with us a lot before he moved away, but his family’s back in town. Don’t you remember him?”
“No…”
“Toge, come here!” he called out to his retreating friend, the guy freezing in his tracks before he jogged up to where you were quickly. Oh crap, you kept gushing, he really was cute. He placed an arm around your brother’s shoulder, nodding at you as a greeting. “Remember my sister? You used to play with her a lot when we were kids. You kept stealing her Barbies, remember?”
“I did?” Toge looked shocked, his back bending into a fake bow. “I’m very sorry for that, but don’t worry, I don’t do that anymore.”
“I don’t play with Barbies at this age!” you defended, heat spreading all over your skin when he winked at you. Both of them laughed at your flushed face, and you crossed your arms on your chest, glaring at your brother. Really though, you were just trying to hide the fact you were very attracted to his friend, even more so now that he was actually familiar. “Stupid Yuta-nii.”
“You’re cute,” Toge randomly piped in.
If you were feeling shy before, you couldn’t speak now.
“Dude, don’t talk about my sister like that,” Yuta gagged, slapping his friend on the chest who effortlessly ducked away, his laughter like music in your ears. You stared at him for who knew how long, his happiness absorbed in your body as you found yourself giggling back. Yuta, on the other hand, wasn’t as impressed, rolling his eyes at his friend before turning to you. “You should go back to class. The bell will ring soon.”
“Okay,” you nodded quietly, hesitating for a moment. Surely it wouldn’t be too weird, right? Deciding to heck with it though, you balled your hands into fists, mustering the courage to look him in the eye as you said, “See you, Toge-senpai.”
He simply shrugged his brows up as a farewell, and just like that, you dashed down the hall so fast you put Quicksilver to shame.
Tumblr media
Great. Out of all the days it had to storm, it had to be on the rare moment you forgot your umbrella. Unsurprisingly enough, it was Yuta’s fault for making you forget it. Both of you had slept in too much, but instead of being the responsible older brother, he left you to prepare the meals all by yourself while he spent half an hour fixing his hair. In your haste to arrive on school on time, you’d forgotten to pick up your umbrella, and now the misfortune of it slapped you right on the face.
“Tch, how can I go home?” you glared at no one in particular.
Yuta had to stay behind for baseball practice in the covered court, leaving you all alone to take the bus by yourself. Well, not that it mattered, going home alone was way better than listening to your brother rant about video games and girls he wanted to talk to in class.
Shifting your weight from one foot to another, brows pinched as you mulled on the different ways you could come back home, you came up with two options.
One, run like hell and risk getting sick from this weather, or two, wait for the rain to subside.
But ugh, you wanted to go home already. Before you knew it, you’d unknowingly pouted, arms hugged to yourself while you cursed your stupid brother a hundred times over in your head. Too lost in your own thoughts, you failed to hear humming from behind you, a scream nearly ripping from your lips when someone planted himself beside you.
“Hey, you’re here!”
You gazed up at him wide-eyed, subconsciously stepping away to keep your beating heart at bay. “H-hello, Toge-senpai.”
“Please, just call me Toge,” he offered, opening his umbrella before his eyes landed on you. Probably realizing you were quite helpless, Toge smiled, nudging you to come closer to him. “Hey, I’ll walk you home. You guys still live in the same block?”
“Yeah.”
And so there you were, debating that maybe Yuta’s carelessness wasn’t such a bad thing. After all, if it would lead to your crush taking you home, then you weren’t complaining. Funny how the weather seemed so gloomy, a huge contrast to the sunshine you radiated at the sheer happiness of living out your most romantic fantasies. It was silly, actually, to crush on your brother’s best friend of all people, but Toge was so nice and handsome – it was kind of impossible not to like him.
In the span of two weeks that you’d known him, he’d been nothing but friendly. And no, you weren’t going to admit you started visiting their classroom more often than before, simply because you wanted to get a glimpse of him.
Toge pulled you out of your lovesick trance, his arm landing on your waist before he shifted you beside him. You noticed he was now closer to the road while you were on the safer side of the sidewalk, and god, did he just step closer? He was close enough that your arms brushed with each step, sending a wave of heat that you bit back by tugging your lips with your teeth.
“For warmth,” he explained as if reading your mind, arm raised lazily in a shrug. “Wouldn’t want you to get cold.”
“Thank you,” you muttered, hiding your face under your scarf.
You and Toge were silent the whole time, but it was a silence you adored. Very rarely that you found comfort in silence with others, but with Toge, it felt so easy – so natural. You hadn’t even realized you were already at home, Toge chuckling at your spaced out self. He bid his farewell then, his back facing yours as he walked away when you blurted, “Oh, my parents aren’t home. I think you should stay first to let the rain calm down a bit. You live a little far from school, right?”
Toge looked a little surprised, his eyes shooting up to the sky with a sigh. Inwardly, you were screaming because you just invited him inside, but Toge was already waddling back to you before you could regret it.
“Yeah, thanks for the invitation. I don’t think I should go home in this weather too,” he said, following you across the threshold. He looked around in awe, his shoes left in the front door before he crossed the living room with you, his eyes shining with nostalgia and happiness. “Wow, your place hasn’t changed one bit. I missed being here.”
You flashed him a smile. Turns out it wasn’t that bad – Toge being comfortable made you comfortable. Aside from the nervousness partnered with shyness from having a crush, you applauded yourself for being able to look him in the eye as you asked, “Do you want tea, coffee…?”
“Water is fine. Thanks,” he shrugged off his jacket and placed it behind a chair, chuckling when you nodded too fast. Toge, much to your dismay (or delight?!) trailed behind you in the kitchen, having no business looking that handsome as he leaned against the counter. Him being unaware of his effect on you was even worse, and you bit the inside of your cheeks, trembling as you poured him a glass of water.
From behind you, Toge snickered, “Why are you so jittery? Do I make you nervous?”
“A-a little.”
“Why? Am I intimidating?” he appeared beside you out of nowhere, so close that you could count his lashes. You leaned back with a muffled squeal, eyes wide at the proximity. Toge, as always, seemed completely unaware of it, taking his time to assess your features with a hand on his chin as if all the answers he was looking for was written all over your face. “Yuta told me I was very easy to approach though.”
“No, it’s not that, I just…” you stuttered, giving in with weak knees and turning your head to the side. Your heart, your poor heart! “Crap, I hate myself.”
“You were saying something?”
“I, uhm, it’s just,” you panicked, mind failing to function now of all times. “I think…I have a crush on you?”
The room fell silent.
Realization dawning on you, you flattened your palms together in a begging motion. Toge merely blinked back at you, and you were so close to just kneeling to the gods to rid yourself of this moment forever. “Please forget everything I said, I’m so sorry! Gosh, Yuta’s going to kill me, forget I said anything, I didn’t mean to be weird.”
“Hey, chill, it’s fine!” he laughed, helping you get up just before you fell in exasperation. Then, he smirked at you, wiggling his brows in the process. “I kind of knew that anyway, to be honest.”
“You do?”
“Yeah, I mean, you asked me to marry you when we were kids,” he informed you, but the memory never played back in your mind. It wasn’t a lie though, you really did ask him that when you were kids. Embarrassment taking hold of you, you groaned behind your palms, feeling like your heart was going to explode every now and then.
“Oh my gosh…”
“It’s okay,” Toge peeled your arms away from your face, his grin nothing less of teasing the moment he’s greeted by your shyness. “I did say yes – let’s just wait after high school, yeah?”

can you write a drabble of s/o age regressing after a scary situation and maybe hawks or dabi (whatever you feel) hugging them and just general fluff and comfort? I totally understand if you don't wanna write this so no pressure!!
Yeppers! As someone who experiences something similar to age regression/ little space, this will be based on my own experiences
Tumblr media
Genre: Hurt/comfort
Type: headcanons/drabble
Warnings: Age regression/little space, crying, Manga spoilers for Dabi's backstory, reader being adorable
Other: I'm not %100 sure if I'd call my experience 'little space,' it's something that only showed up in the past year or so. Also, I usually only go into 'little space' when I'm very happy or comfortable or I'm doing something childish, and even after talking to people who actually age regress, I'm not sure what to call my experience.
Fluff Taglist: @smolchildfangirl @combat-wombatus @mandalorian-baby-bird @waffleareniceandfluffy @catcherisvibin @thesubtlewhore @popcatx0
Touya Todoroki/Dabi-
Tumblr media
I feel like he doesn't understand it at first; like mans has never even heard of people who age regress until he met you.
When you first mentioned it to him, he was so confused.
"Okay so- hang on what?"
The first time you actually do it in front of him he literally has no idea what to do, he's so confused and probably more scared than you are.
He has the best intentions, but he did lock you in a room and call Toga for advice when you started to cry.
When you got big again, you were pissed.
And reasonably so.
It took a while, but he eventually got used to your little space and figured out what to do when you did this.
There was a point where he tried to deny how cute he thought it was- you acting like a child and doing childlike things.
He uses it as an opportunity to atone for the things he did as a child to his younger siblings, and as a way to feel like he can actually take care of something.
"Y/n, I'm back!" The door swung shut behind him as he stepped into your apartment, looking around, he couldn't see you. The whole place was a mess, books torn off their shelves and even some broken dishes in the kitchen.
Dabi frowned, he'd seen your apartment like this a couple of times before, usually what happens when you absolutely can't take it anymore.
He peeked inside your room, finding you sprawled on top of the sheets with your clothes still on, fast asleep.
He wished you'd called him, he knew he told you he was on a mission and not to bother him but if you had called he would've dropped anything and everything to appear by your side to comfort you throughout whatever caused this. He crept into your bedroom quietly, pulling the blankets you had kicked onto the ground up and over your body, turning the lights off.
He sighed, grabbing the broom and sweeping up the glass from the broken plate, and throwing it away. He put everything back in its place, even vacuuming the carpet so it was nice and soft when you woke up.
He was just finishing wiping down the counters when he heard you coming out of the bedroom. He turned his head to see you waddling towards him, rubbing your eyes and yawning.
"Touya?" you murmured, looking up at him "What are you doing here?"
"I live here too, y'know, it's only natural I come here in my free time," he explained. He felt your arms wrap around him, face pressing into his back.
"Warm..." your voice was soft, and he had to stop himself from burying his face into his arms to escape from the pure ball of cuteness that was hugging him. "Wanna cuddle."
He glanced over his shoulder at you, finding you staring up at him with a pout on your face, oh yeah you were definitely in 'smol mode' as he sometimes called it.
"Wanna cuddle, hm? Sorry baby you gotta wait until I'm finished cleaning."
"Nooooooo" you whined, slowly sliding down his body until you were clutching his leg. "Want cuddles!"
"Just let me fini-"
"Do that later! Cuddles now!"
Dabi chuckled, pressing a hand to his face.
"I can't- I just can't you're too cute like this." He shook his head, laughing now. "Okay fine, I'll cuddle you ya clingy lil baby~"
"Yayyy!" you were on your feet a moment later, arms in the air, giggling "I wanna wear your coat!" you pointed at his jacket, and he chuckled again, shrugging it off his shoulders and flinging it onto your back, helping your arms into the sleeves that were just a little too big for your body.
He pressed his lips against your forehead, looking down at you, he only saw pure love and admiration staring back up at you.
He had to protect this little bundle of joy in his life, this human that made him feel so happy, he would never let anything bad happen to you. When you were big again, he'd ask you what happened, and he'd make sure you'd call him if you were ever stressed.
But he did like the adorable faces you made when you were little.
Keigo Takami/Hawks-
Tumblr media
He's a pro hero, he's done his research; so he knows what 'little space' is before he meets you.
But I can promise the commission probably made it seem like something gross, but you're his partner, he knows you're not some horrible person, so maybe he understands age regression wrong.
So.
Many.
Questions.
Like constant questions- it almost feels like he's interrogating you, like seriously it's getting old, Keigo
But he's so precious you kind of have to answer his questions.
Like Dabi, he finds you acting little to be the most adorable thing in the world, sometimes he leaves kid's stuff around the house hoping to trigger your little space so he can hold you and play with you.
He thinks of it as practice for when the two of you have children
The one day Keigo has off, to regrow his wings, all he really wants to do it sleep. Just lay in bed, wrapped up in his blankets and just dream and nap and snore and do nothing.
But little ole you had other plans.
"Keigooooooooo!"
The blonde bird boy shot upright in bed upon hearing your distressed call. He sped down the hall into the living room, panicked, only to find you sitting on the carpet with a box of crayons next to you, a coloring book open, page half filled in.
You looked up at Keigo with wide tear-filled eyes, shakily holding up the blue crayon snapped in half. Your lower lip quivered as you whimpered.
"I-it broke!" you cried, "I'm sorry it broke, Kei!" Keigo melted on the spot, slightly annoyed that you woke him up for something so small, but also-
Holy fuck you were just the cutest thing in the world.
He hoped your only stress would forever be broken crayons.
"It's okay, Y/n, things break sometimes, you're not in trouble." he cooed, sitting down next to you and patting your head.
"But- but it broke!" you exclaimed, sniffling
"It still functions though, doesn't it?" He scooched the coloring book closer to you, and you pressed the pointed end of the crayon against the paper, coloring the smiling puppy dog's nose blue.
You lit up, a bright smile spreading across your face, you cheered, bouncing up and down and hugging Keigo.
"It still works! It still works, Kei!" he giggled, holding you close to his body and enjoying the way you laughed.
"That's right! There's nothing that can't be resolved!" He pressed a kiss to your cheek, but couldn't hold himself back from attacking your entire face with little kisses.
"Keiiii noooo that tickles!" you giggled, pushing at him gently.
"One more? Please, baby?" he pleaded, pouting a little.
"Okiii!" you sat up, pressing your lips to his, pulling back with a laugh. "Can I have a juice box?"
"Of course," Keigo's face softened, you were just too precious, too cute, to perfect.
He really did hope the only thing you'd ever worry about was the crayon.

OOOH I love dom!reader with Din mwahahaha this one is hot and takes a nosedive into soft. Your fave @axshadows?
500 follower celebration
Warnings: Male receiving oral, Dom reader
Tumblr media
Din despised you. Whenever he'd be close to catching a bounty you would swoop in and finish the job yourself, stealing his thunder. You didn't do any work yourself. Din tried everything to shake you from his trail. He tried to lay a trap, he tried to split the reward, he even tried to kill you once. Nothing worked. You always slipped through his grasp.
Your conflict was coming to a head as Karga was tired of the constant bickering.
"Work it out you two or no pucks."
"Find someone else to steal from." Din glared up at you from his seat.
"But I like annoying you, Mando." You smirked. "Fine..." You groaned dramatically. "How about a deal? We both go after the same bounty. If you get him first then I'll leave you alone."
"You'll just come and steal it at the last second like you always do." Din shook his head.
"I'll play fair. I'll even give you a head start."
"I don't need a head start." Din leaned forward menacingly only you weren't scared at all. In fact you smiled.
"Let me finish." You held up your hands. "If you win, I leave you alone. If I win, things proceed as usual and you can't complain. Do we have a deal?"
"If I win, you should give me all the credits you stole from me."
"No way. Finders keepers."
Din grit his teeth under his helmet. Your little grin made something inside him ball up tight and sometimes he just wanted to throw you over his lap and-and- he didn't let himself think those things right now.
"I want a better deal." He folded his arms.
"You're not exactly in a position to negotiate. I'm perfectly happy with our current arrangement."
You loved playing with Mando, making him stutter and sigh. It started off as a power trip, making a Mandalorian putty in your hands. He tried to kill you once but he hesitated at the last moment. You realized his hatred for you wasn't pure, it was tangled with need. You knew he would miss you if you just left him by himself and you sure as hell would miss him too.
"How about..." You saunter over to him, perching yourself on the table in front of him. You saw him stiffen immediately, clenching his hands into fists on the seat below. "If you win... you can do whatever you want to me. You could try and kill me again, but something tells me that's not what you really want." You watched as the visor of his helmet turned towards you. You felt your heart pound faster knowing you had him in your grasp. "See... you could shut me up with a bullet in my skull or with your cock in my mouth. Decisions decisions, Mando."
With you left him dumbstruck at the table.
"Karga- We've reached a deal. One puck and we'll make it a race."
"One puck huh?"
"And don't make it an easy one." You hold your hand out. Karga rolls his eyes shoving two pucks into your hands.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was a close one. Both of you were at the same cantina spying on the target. You happened to have more natural assests that drew the targets attention. What an idiot, you smirked ready to drop the sedative into his glass. What you didn't expect was for Din to blast the idiot to hell from across the cantina.
"I win." Din cheered, strolling up to pull the lifeless body off the counter.
"We said bring him in warm!" You glared at Mando.
"We never agreed on that."
"Didn't we?" You frowned.
Mando shook his head. He lugged the body over his shoulder with ease. "Come on, let's get out of here before the imps are on us."
Outside on the street it hit you that Mando won the bet technically. This would maybe be the last time you saw him if what he asked as reward was for you to leave him forever. The warmth in the pit of your stomach hoped that he'd ask for something different.
"You won, Mando." You stopped at the end of the street. He turned, the bounty still on his shoulder. "My ship is that way. Shall I take off never to return?"
The breeze made his cape flutter, but otherwise he was a statue. Conversely it made you squirm where you stood, tugging at your shirt which now felt too tight for some reason.
"No." He said quietly, so quiet you almost missed it.
"Then what do you want?"
"Will you let me put the bounty away before we talk?"
"Fine." You shrugged nonchalantly though you were still nervous. "Lead on."
You had never been on Mando's ship before. It was dirty and breaking down but it softened him. Gave him some personality. He was less intimidating. The clutter and dusty knick knacks made him so human.
"So..." You place your hands on your hips trying to project confidence though you were becoming more and more anxious. "What'll it be, Mando?" Was this the end?
Din was freaking out. He stood on a shaky pedestal he had built to stand up to you. He had only pretended to be arrogant and capable. He played into his appeal towards you but now the game had ended. He was proud of his abilities to catch bounties, track targets, to kill, but his confidence ended there. He had no skills when it came to sex let alone with pretty women like you. You expected so much from him from the way you teased and talked crudely. Din knew he’d never live up to that. He didn’t even know where to start. His desire was bottled up in him with no clear outlet. Just a general direction towards you.
"Mando?" Your gaze softened a little. You realized perhaps he wasn’t going to send you away. You almost smiled as he rocked on his heels. The nervous tick was strangely endearing.
"I'm not going to kill you. I want-" Din struggled to find the words. "What you said in the cantina. You said I could silence you..."
You furrowed your brow in confusion. What did you say? You couldn’t remember-
"When you said I could put my-my cock in your mouth." Din felt his cheeks heat up. He felt himself harden in is pants just at the dirty word.
"Did I say that?" You chuckled. “I guess I did. Is that what you want?"
Din nodded. He waited for you to take charge, tell him what to do, but for some strange reason you were waiting for him.
"You've never done this have you?" You realized, your smile falling off your face. You felt bad for how you treated him this whole time. Maker, you probably made him uncomfortable.
"No." Din looked down in shame. "Fuck-This was dumb. Just go away."
"Mando..." You stepped towards him placing a hand on his arm. The first time you've really touched him. "I'm sorry. I wasn't judging. Most guys don’t like me to be in charge.”
Din cringed further at the mention of your copious previous experience.
“Mando… look at me please-“ and he did feeling some of his dread subside. Your warm reassuring hand felt so good. “I'm happy to show you everything. I want to make you feel good. If that’s what you want.”
“I’m sorry.” He grumbled. He hated feeling so vulnerable. He wanted to explain himself, give excuses for his lack of experience, but the truth was he hadn’t found anyone he was interested in until you.
“There’s nothing to apologize for. Now will you let me do this for you?” He looked at you, searching for honesty. There wasn’t a hint of disgust or doubt on your face.
Din nodded, feeling his stomach lurch in excitement. He felt safe with you which was another completely foreign feeling for him.
“Thank you, good boy.” The word shot through him, making him stand up straighter. You chuckled. “You like that?”
Din nodded shyly.
“Go and sit down.” You pointed at the crate against the wall. Din obeyed looking at you again for acknowledgement. You smiled kneeling down below him. “Good boy. See you’re a pro already.” Din blushed at your praise wanting to continue pleasing you. You slid your hands up his thighs slowly. “You can stop me at any point. Just say stop. My only rule is you have to tell me if I’m making you feel good. I wanna hear you.”
Din nodded his understanding. You raised an eyebrow. “Okay.” He said.
“Good boy. I know you can’t remove your armor which is fine. But can I take your cock out?”
Din nodded biting his lip. His dick was already straining against its confines. He exhaled sharply as you tugged down his waistband just far enough to pull him out. The only piece of skin exposed.
“You’re beautiful, Mando.” You cooed, stroking the warm length gently. You couldn’t wait to feel him in your mouth. A low broken cry cracked the voicecoder. “That’s it… feel good baby?” You stare right into his visor. Din swallowed harshly and nodded rapidly trying to keep from blowing his load.
“Tell me.” You reminded him of the rule.
“Yes!” He huffed. “It feels good. Please more.”
“We’re just getting started.” You promised opening you mouth and letting a dollop of saliva hit the head of his cock.”
“Oh Kriff…” Din pounded his fist against the crate. You continued your slow movements. You didn’t want to push him. He seemed lost in pleasure and you felt yourself warm at his trust in you. You slowly lowered your mouth on him, keeping your suction soft. He whined above you, his thighs flexing under your hands. You flicked your eyes up to him. His head was thrown back. You could see just a small slice of golden neck. He was sucking air between his teeth. The edges of the crate groaned under his grip.
“So-so good.” He mumbled between shallow breaths. You chuckled. He was trying so hard poor thing.
“It’s okay if you cum, Mando. I want you to.”
“But-“ Din’s hips jerked up into your hands. “What about you? I want to- I want-“
“Shh I know baby boy.” You chuckled at his eagerness. Already wanting to jump ahead. “We’ll get there but first you’re going to cum in my mouth.”
And almost on instinct he did, hunching over as ropes and ropes slid into your hot mouth.
“Oh fuck…” He croaked. It was better than anything he had done on his own. Your hot mouth and tongue had brought him so high only to let him plummet into his pleasure with no safety net. He was totally out of control. He didn’t hate it though. He loved it. He wanted more.
He came so much it made your pussy tighten longingly. His groans and sighs were gorgeous. You moaned, getting the last drops.
“Good boy…” You started stroking him back to full mast again. Surging with control and pride.
