Just. Thinking about that bit in season one where Ms. Casey looks straight at Mark S. and says "I forgive you". Just. Just thinking about it. and neither of them recognize each other. and. just. just. can you imagine. can you imagine. how do you think that felt for mark? it's impossible that no part of him, that his hidden memory, that his body, would have no reaction to Ms. Casey's, Gemma's, voice. and to be told "i forgive you" by the voice of your dead loved one, after two years of abject mourning— and you don't remember it, you don't remember the guilt, you don't remember the pain, but you feel it every single day without knowing what it is, and then you hear that, and it just— just. thinking about it.

“I love my life”
You kept repeating that sentence over and over again, standing before the bathroom mirror, hands resting on the sink, head hung low. Trying to ease your shaky breath, trying to stop the tears that threaded to spill from your closed lids.
“I love my life, I love my life, I love my life”
With a deep breath you looked up to your reflection, your face reflecting anything but exhaustion and sadness, your mascara ruined from the tears that escaped.
“I fucking love my life”
And you did… right? You had to.
You had everything you have ever wanted, everything you dreamt of when you were a kid. A good and stable job, a beautiful home to enjoy and take care of and… you had a husband. A perfect, nice, handsome husband.
Then why the fuck did you feel this way? So empty, like you were falling down a pit of darkness, like you had this hollow hole in your heart, every day getting bigger, keeping you from doing normal life things. You had to pull every strength from you just to get up from bed in the morning and go to work. You been feeling like this for years now, but lately… after seeing her on the news again…
Seeing her on tv, being interviewed for her new book, one that you had at home, hidden in the closet, ready to be read. One that she sent you directly with a personal autograph for some fucking sick reason.
No, no, this wasn’t because of her, it couldn’t be, it’s been… what? Twelve years? This was not because of her, no way.
You stared at your left hand, slightly shaking, you inspected your wedding ring, your beautiful, shiny, wedding ring, it should bring you joy, make you feel free, happy. But it only made you nauseous, feeling like you were tied down for life.
Only if you… could… slowly you brought your right hand to the ring, pulling it up from your finger, your mind screaming at you, telling you what a terrible idea this was, your breath hitched, suddenly feeling lighter when it fully came off, like all your burden disappeared in that moment. You wiggled your fingers little bit, bringing your hand up in front of the mirror, you could see the tan mark from the metal, you haven’t taken it off in the whole ten years you’ve been married, and it felt… good.
You felt fucking good without it.
“No” you whispered, shaking those thoughts from your head and deciding to put the ring back on, but when you were lifting your right hand the ring fell from your hold “fuck!” You hissed trying to catch it as it bounced in the sink “fuck, no, come here” you whined as it slipped again, going directly into the drain “no, shit!” You smashed the marble, cursing your fucking office for not having a proper working sink “what the fuck!?” You groaned, hiding you face in your hands in frustration.
Why the hell did you even have to take it off? It was stupid! Why did you take. it. off?!
“Ok… it’s ok, calm down” you whispered to yourself, taking a deep breath before splashing some water in your face and redoing your make up “it’s alright, he won’t notice, and you’ll go buy a new, exact one, before he does” you tried to calm yourself down, and you were sure if anyone came near the bathroom door and heard you they’d think you have gone crazy, and maybe you have.
And just like that you continued with your day, putting on a good face and getting through your schedule. Going to meetings, getting some paperwork done and going for a drink after with your best friend, and Steve wasn’t going to be home for at least a few more days, so that gave you advantage to get a new ring.
When you finished at work you bid your goodbyes to your coworkers and almost flew to your car in the parking lot, you needed those drinks with Wanda so fucking bad.
As soon as you parked your car you made your way to the bar. You waved at the waitress as you entered before turning around to see Wanda standing up from her seat “oh my god, hi” you instantly sighed in relief as you hugged her, giving her a big squeeze before pulling away and sitting in your usual booth.
“Rough day, huh?” She chuckled at your tired face.
“Week” you corrected her with a huff, hearing her chuckle again. She knew something was off when you called her for an urgent girls night.
You ordered your usual drink, Wanda and you catching up from the two weeks you’ve been apart, when she suddenly saw you naked hand when you went to tuck your hair behind your ear.
“Sweetheart?” She asked, her demeanor getting serious now, her head tilting in her famous way.
“Hm?”
“Where is your ring?”
Well, fuck.
You let out a heavy sigh and rested your hand on the table, glancing it for a second before your head turned up to your friend, her face in a worried expression “did something happed with Steve?”
“No, non of that” you shook your head, you marriage was still the same old boring story.
Your face cringed for a moment “but I might have dropped the ring in the damn sink this morning” you winced at the memory, your eyes closing, not wanting to see the disappointed face in the redhead’s face.
But all you heard was laugher, furrowing your eyebrows you looked up at her, watching as she clutched her stomach from laughing “it’s not funny! It fell so fucking dramatically for some reason, I had a really stressful moment there!” You scoffed incredulously at her, the woman laughing even harder at your words.
You started chuckling with her, your hand going to your mouth, actually feeling bad about the whole situation, but it was hilarious really.
“Oh my god” Wanda said breathless, trying to calm down as she wiped her tears away “please tell me if was an accident” she said before taking a deep breath and looking at you.
“Of course it was! What do you take me for?”
Was it?
“Well… I know things with Steve have been a little tense after he saw the book, so I don’t know, just making sure”
You sighed and took a sip from your drink, contemplating if telling Wanda the truth was a good idea, you knew she wouldn’t judge you, but you didn’t want to bring anymore attention to the topic, and you didn’t want to feel more confused than you were feeling already. So you kept silent.
“By the way… have you read her book, already?”
“Oh no, and I don’t plan on reading it, honestly”
Wanda cleared there throat, getting visibly uncomfortable all of the sudden “what?” you asked her, sensing her nerves flooding around her.
“You should read it” she sighed, and the pity look she gave you… you didn’t like that look at all.
“Why?” Your voice sounded rough, your eyes glaring at the woman.
“It’s just- I don’t- just read it, alright? You really should…”
Ok now you were the one who was nervous, what the fuck did that woman write about? I mean, the note she left on your book…
This one is for you… good luck, babe.
Those words haunted you at night.
“Wanda…” you were starting to get a really uneasy feeling here “did Agatha write about me?”
Wanda instantly held your hands in hers “I’m so sorry” she said squeezing your hands, but you quickly retreated them, flinching from it like her hold was fire. You stared at her, shock all over your features.
She wouldn’t be capable, right? She did not write about you, maybe Wanda mistook it, maybe the book was about someone else. Agatha wasn’t that cruel to write about you. After all these years, you thought she even forgot about you, your past together. But you did hurt her. You broke her heart. Fuck.
“I-I’m sorry Wands, I have to go”
Without another word you left the bar, not even hearing your friend begging you to stay behind you. Your heart and mind raced, every memory, every feeling, every bit of your past with Agatha starting to flood out. How could she write about such thing? Knowing you had a husband, a life, a reputation. What if people found out it was about you? It could ruin your whole life!
Not noticing how or when, you found yourself parked outside of your place, rushing out of your car you made your way inside, running upstairs, into your bedroom. Flicking the light on, you entered your walk in closet, bringing the chair you had in the corner to the shelves. After taking your heels off you got on it, searching for the book in the back of your closet, whining when you didn’t find it “where the fuck are you?” You got on the arm of the chair, throwing all your purses off the shelve when you saw it pressed against the wall “there you are, fucker” you said under your breath, grabbing the book and getting off the chair.
You instantly sat on it with a huff, not even bothering to take off your suit. You took a deep breath and opened the book, scoffing as you saw the autograph again.
The hours passed and you still were reading the book, your eyebrows formed in a deep frown as you did, not believing your own eyes. And when you flipped the last page, you stared at the last words, suddenly feeling how hard it was to breathe, unbuttoning your blouse at the top.
You felt like you were suffocating, having just read you entire fucking college life in a book. Your hands trembled, tears running down your cheeks as you got up, the book still in your hand. You stared at it for a minute, trying to process everything you just read, did she really see you this way? So selfish, so heartless, so cruel.
You were not that way, you had to leave her, for your own good, for your future. You could not be that way, you could not be like her, you just couldn’t, your parents… they would have disowned you, hated you even, she knew that. Why the fuck did she write you this way? Like you were the fucking villain?
Anger filled your body and mind in a second, letting out a broken scream as you threw the book across the room, and then a rush of sadness waved into you, your knees gave out on you, collapsing in the floor, sobbing heavily into your hands as you tried to grasp everything around your head.
How could she do this to you?
She exposed your whole life just like that, like you were nothing but a mere inspiration to get money and fame. And she had the balls to send you a personal copy, like she was making fun of you in the process.
After you got out every emotion from your system you got up and went to wash your face and change into your sleeping clothes. You went to bed, but not before taking some sleeping pills, you knew there was no other way you could rest if it wasn’t with them, as much as you hated them.
“Hey there, doll”
You heard a familiar voice behind you, and without even turning around you chuckled, still a little dizzy from the drinks you’ve taken “hi Aggie”
The brunette girl sat by your side at the stairs, comfortable silence grew between the two of you, the only sound coming from inside of the house, the frat party in it’s peak. You both contemplated the starts on the dark sky for a while, until you broke the silence “it’s beautiful tonight” you whispered without taking your eyes off the atmosphere.
“It is” Agatha agreed with you, but she had her eyes on your side profile, admiring your soft features, how your lips curled into a smile and your eyes glowed before you turned your head to her “come with me” she said standing up from the stairs, her hands reaching for you to take.
“Where to?”
“Don’t you trust me?” She winked at you, causing you to giggle and grab her hand, of course you trusted her, always.
She guided you through the backyard into a forest you didn’t even know there was “Aggs, where are we going?” You asked her nervously, you weren’t a big fan of being in a forest in the middle of the night, so you glued yourself to the slightly taller girl, your arm grabbing hers a little too tight, but she didn’t mind at all.
“It’s ok, we’re not far” she hummed as she kissed your temple and held you close to her in a protective way.
Not even a minute after you arrived into a large plain land, only a big tree in the middle “wow” you looked around, it looked gorgeous, seeing different types of flowers around the area “how did you find this?”
“I come here for my witchery rituals”
You scoffed and turned to her, finding her with a teasing smile and a raised eyebrow “yeah, great joke” you rolled your eyes at her.
“You know I like to take walks, one day I kind of got lost and ended here somehow” Agatha chuckled at the memory, taking your hand in hers again and guiding you to the big tree.
She sat under it, tapping her lap you sat down next to her and laid you head on her lap. You sighed and closed your eyes as she began to stroke your hair, you always felt at peace when she was around. Everyone said she was mean and too sarcastic but you never thought that was true, she wasn’t like that with you at least. And you liked her sarcasm.
“Can I ask you something, pet?” Agatha asked you interrupting your thoughts, you looked up at her and nodded, waiting for her to continue “What will happen to us after finishing college?”
Not this again… you sighed and sat up from her lap, not noticing the pained features from your… friend as you did so “Agatha we talked about this”
“I know but… this is real, what we have, what I feel for you it’s very real” she felt like she was begging for you, and she fucking hated that, she has never, ever, had to beg for anyone.
“Agatha…” you huffed and stood up from the grass, your hands rubbing your face in frustration “since the beginning I told you this was only a fling ok? And you agreed. If my-“ you winced at the thought “if my parents find out… it would be the end of me, they expect me to get married to the perfect man-“
“Steve” it was Agatha’s turn to huff in frustration, the name leaving her lips in a despite tone. She stood up and turned you around, her hands resting on your cheeks “you really think he’s gonna make you happy?”
You didn’t answer her right away, both of you knowing too well what the truth was “that doesn’t matter” you whispered and took her hands off your face.
“It does! It does matter” she grabbed your face again in determination, her forehead resting against yours “the only thing that matters is you here, not them, not whatever they want for you, only what you want”
You looked into her eyes, trying to keep the tears at bay from your own, your breath hitching as you felt hers lips ghost over yours “Aggie…” your voice sounded pained, but before you could say anything else she smashed her lips against yours.
The kiss was harsh at first, Agatha took all her frustration into it, her tongue intruding you mouth, making you moan in surprise at her demeanor. One of her hands snook itself on your waist, pulling your body flush against her. Your hands caressing the back of her neck made her pull away “I’m sorry” she whispered before kissing you again, softer this time.
She knew this was probably going to be the last time she had you like this, and she wanted to savor it, she wanted to make you never forget about it, about her.
Because she was never going to forget about you.
Your tongues swirled together, her hand on your waist gripping you tightly, afraid you were going to pull away at any time, she could feel your tears damping her cheeks, your hearts heavily beating against your ribcages.
And when you pulled away to breath you saw the pain in Agatha’s gaze. You took a step back, putting some distance between you, knowing you would fall for it if she tried to kiss you again.
“I’m so sorry, I’m not-“
“You are not what, huh?”
The blue eyed girl looked at you, her expression changing completely, clenching her jaw as she started at you in challenge.
“I’m not like this… I’m not like you”
“Bullshit! You’re only lying to yourself here”
You shook your head, more tears running down your cheeks “please don’t do this” you let out a broken sob.
“Don’t do what!? Are you kidding me? After being your fucking little secret for two years you have the balls to tell me you’re not like me? What the fuck am I, huh?” You could hear the hurt in her voice, the betrayal, and it only made you sob harder into your hands, this was the last thing you wanted to happen “I hate you”
You woke up with a gasp, immediately sitting up on the bed, your hands going to your heavily beating chest. You tried to ease your breath, wiping a tear that escaped from your eye “it’s alright, it was just a dream” you said to yourself, taking deep breaths as you walked to the bathroom. But it was not just a dream. It was exactly what happened the last time you spoke to Agatha.
You got into the shower, the warm water calming you down instantly. Replaying the scene in your head you slid yourself down the shower wall, hiding your head between your knees. You did her so dirty, you betrayed her, you played with her. You really didn’t mean to, you were a young girl, you wanted to have fun, to feel free before being tied down into the life you were living now.
But you fell deeply for her.
And you didn’t think of the consequences, you were selfish. And god… you were like her, you are and you will always be. You’ve never liked boys, every time Steve touched you it was like fire, you wanted to get away from it as far as possible. His kisses… it were nothing like Agatha’s, her lips here so soft, she tasted so sweet, and her touch, she was so careful with you, so fucking soft, and Steve… he was so rough, so cold doing it, and his beard, the way it scratched your face, you fucking hated it.
“Fuck” you sobbed heavily, your arms hugging your legs to your chest. You fucked up, and only because you wanted to make your parents proud of you, they had your life planned since you were a baby, and you didn’t want to let them down.
But you let yourself down in the process.
You lost yourself.
Maybe you could get your happiness back. You were so tired of living this miserable life, next to a man you didn’t love, in this house you barely could call home, you felt so out of place. But it wasn’t late to redo your story. To make things right, for you.
You could start by talking with Steve, asking for a divorce. And… talk to Agatha, apologize to her.
And you did that, you talked to Steve that very night he arrived home from his trip. It wasn’t easy, and you didn’t tell him the Agatha part of course. You knew he suspected something, but he understood without asking too much and you ended things peacefully.
The next day you saw Agatha was having a book signing event, so you decided to pay her a visit.
You decided to wear something casual but elegant, unconsciously wanting to impress the woman. You threw on some black pants and a purple knit sweater off the shoulder, finishing it with a basic black heels. Looking at the mirror you took a deep breath and straightened your top “ok, you got this”
As you entered the bookstore the anxiety increased inside of you, clutching the book to your chest for some support. You walked around the place searching for her, and then you saw her, stopping on your tracks, your heart skipping a beat as you watched her seated at a table, signing a book while she talked to the overly excited woman before her.
Fuck, she looked even better than on the tv, she looked fucking gorgeous, her brunette hair in it’s wavy and chaotic nature. Your fingers flinched around the book, remembering how soft it felt around them, how she loved when you caressed it while you both laid on the bed, studying or talking about some random thing.
Jesus, focus.
You didn’t even know if she was still single, probably not, and it was ok. You only came here to talk to her and apologize… right?
After 10 minutes of waiting in line it was finally your turn, feeling your heart in your throat you took a step toward her, laying the book in front of her with your shaky hands, her eyes busy reading a paper next to her “do you want some personal-“ she froze mid sentence, shocked when she saw the autograph in your book.
She slowly looked up at you, and when your eyes met it was like the world stopped in the act, only the two of you existed. Agatha stood up from the chair, rounding the table while she never took her eyes off you. When she stood before you her hand tried to reach your cheek but she hesitantly retreated it to her side “is it really you?” She asked you, her eyes scanning your face for reassurance.
“In flesh and blood”
Agatha suddenly grabbed your hand, she whispered something to a woman next to the table before she guided you somewhere to the back of the bookstore. When she pulled you into a room she locked it before she turned to you “I never thought I’d see you again” she said in disbelief, taking a step towards you.
You didn’t hesitate for a second, needing to feel her against you after all this time, your arms wrapped around her “I’m so sorry Agatha” you whispered against her shoulder.
Agatha immediately accepted your hug, sighing into your hair as she squeezed your frame softly. You felt so good, you still smelt so sweetly, so addicting. She relaxed into your arms, feeling your hands rubbing her spine.
She missed you so much.
But… you hurt her. She pulled away, her eyebrows curling into frown “what are you doing here?” Her voice cold all of the sudden, like she was shielding herself from you.
“Agatha…” you tried to get closer again but she took a step back, her features turning in a warning “I came here to apologize. I read your book and… even though it really hurt me I realized how bad I hurt you too in the past” You never left her eyes, trying to tell her with your own you were being sincere “I’m sorry…”
The woman stared at you for a minute, studying you, before she briefly nodded “it’s ok, I apologize too for the things I said in the book”
“You treated me like a villain”
“Well you treated me like trash, so I think we’re even”
You pursed your lips, nodding your head as you started to pace around the room, only realizing it was an office “I know, I was a fool, a stupid girl who only wanted the approbation of my parents. I only wanted wanted to make their dreams come true, not even realizing my dream was… you” the last word escaped your lips in a whisper, the shock of your own confession rooting you on the spot.
Agatha’s mouth fell agape, sucking in a sharp breath, the last thing she expected today was this. To finally see and hear you opening your heart to her, and to yourself.
You turned around to her, seeing her hands clutch her chest, her soft lips slowly curling into a small smile “I know you didn’t expect me to come here, and tell you this, but I needed to, and I wanted to tell you that I’m getting my life back. I’m going to take the reins of my life and be true to myself. And I know that you probably are not interested in me anymore, or still hate me, and I won’t judge you. Maybe you’re in a relationship and I don’t want to confuse y- mphh!”
Agatha, tired of hearing your rambling, grabbed you by the waist and smashed her lips against yours. Just like the last time you kissed, but this time she knew this was the first of many.
Your hands flew to her shoulders to steady yourself, shocked for a moment. But when Agatha’s tongue stroked your lips for entrance you let her, humming into her mouth as your hands travelled to her cheeks.
“Fuck, I missed you, pet” she whispered against your lips, making you smile at the pet name before kissing her again. Her soft lips danced against yours while she slowly backed you up against the office desk, her hands sneaking into your sweater, goosebumps erupting your skin as she stroked your bare back.
Then suddenly a knock startled you both, making her pull away from you “Miss. Harkness, the five minute break is up”
Agatha groaned in frustration, and you hid your laugh behind your hand “wait outside for me, ok? I’ll go in a minute” she sighed before kissing your cheek.
“But what about all that people?” You asked her. Referring to all the fans waiting for her to sign their books.
“Whatever, I’m tired to signing books that will be resold in some random web for way too much money” Agatha said with disdain, rolling her eyes and waving her hands dramatically.
You watched her leave the room after sending you a wink, still chuckling at her antics.
Oh, how you’ve missed her.
Without bringing too much attention, you left the book shop and waited the woman on the parking lot, leaning against your car and hugging your arms tightly at the chilly air.
After a few minutes you saw her walk towards you, her arms opening for you, making you smile and instantly falling into her welcoming embrace. You stayed like that for a while, your face hiding into her neck as you took in her scent, her fresh, floral scent that always made you dizzy.
“So… no more Steve?” Agatha asked you, pushing you away softly as she tuck your hair behind your ear, taking in your features.
“No more Steve” you said to her, chuckling.
Agatha sighed in relief. She asked you to go to her place with her, and you of course accepted.
As soon as you arrived to her house, Agatha was all over you, pulling you against her frame, her kisses becoming needy as she guided you down the hallway to the stairs.
“Agatha, we should talk” you told her, your breath trying to ease while she trailed her kisses down your jaw.
“I know” her voice hushed between kisses you almost didn’t hear her.
“Then stop” you let out a giggle, trying not to trip over the stairs as she guided you up.
When you arrived to the second floor the woman pushed you back against the corridor wall softly, her nose rubbing against yours as she looked into your eyes “do you really want me to?” She hummed, leaving little pecks all around your face.
No, you really didn’t. It’s been so long since you felt this way, twelve years to be exact, the way she ran her hands all over your body even with the barrier of your clothes, the way she kissed you so sweetly, so desperate.
“No” you whispered to her, pulling her into another kiss. You could talk later, anyway.
Agatha chuckled against your lips, pulling you into her bedroom. She kicked the door with her foot and dragged you towards the bed, her hands pushing the sweater over your chest, you helped her take it off, giggling as she took in your barely covered chest, her fingers caressing the lace fabric of your bra.
Your hands worked on unbuttoning her shirt as Agatha continued to explore your skin with her fingertips, an when they reached your waist she suddenly shoved you on the mattress, earning a surprised yelp from you “you don’t know how many times I’ve dreamt of this very moment”
Agatha discarded her shirt while her eyes burned into yours “countless nights with so many women, and only being able to think about you, trying to imagine they were you”
You breath hitched at her words, the thought of her with other women, but with you in her mind made your insides burn in desire “they were never like you, no one can compare to you”
“Aggie” you whined her name needy, watching as she crawled on the bed after she took off her pants, a smirk in her lips as she ghosted them over your skin on your stomach and chest.
“Tell me…” she hummed softly, her hands working on pulling you out of your pants “did Steve make you come like I did?” Her eyebrow raised at you, seeing how you only shook your head “you know I like words, pet”
“No” you huffed at her, feeling her hand travel to your back, unclasping your bra with too much ease “he never-“ a gasp interrupted you, Agatha’s mouth closing around your nipple.
“He never what? Mh?” She fucking knew what she was doing, her knee pressing up against your center, making you go mad under her touch, torturing you.
She watched you struggle to let any word out, breathing heavily while she toyed with your breasts, nipping and sucking one and pinching the other. She could feel the wet spot on your panties against her knee, your hips rolling on it trying to get some friction, loving how desperate you were for her already.
“Come on… you can say it, beautiful” she said pouting her lips at you, almost as if she was mocking you, and she was. It made you huff at her, a scoff appearing on your features “oh no, none that” she grabbed your jaw, her tone in a warning “behave, alright?”
You nodded making the woman hum in satisfaction “he never has made me come” you whispered out the words, redness creeping up your neck and cheeks, feeling embarrassed at the fact that, in ten years, only you’ve been able to satisfy yourself.
“Aw, my poor thing” Agatha kissed your cheek, she actually felt bad for you. She couldn’t imagine to be stuck with a man for ten years, having to satisfy him almost every night. But she was going to make it up for you “must have been pretty frustrating, mh?”
“Yes” you whined as she started nipping at your neck, your hand going into her wavy hair, your hips rolling into hers unconsciously “Aggie?” You called for her, causing the woman to look at you, pecking your lips in a soft way.
“What do you want, pet?” She already knew, of course she knew, but she wanted to hear you say it, she needed to hear it from you.
“Touch me, please” your eyes stared into her blue ones “make me feel good” she smiled at you, letting out a chuckle before she kissed you.
Her tongue explored your mouth while she helped you taking off your lace panties, leaving you completely bare before her. You immediately wrapped your leg round her hip, feeling her fingers dancing down your belly painfully slow. When she reached your mound, slipping her index finger in your clit you both moaned.
She trailed her lips down your chest, her fingers rubbing your wetness all over your lips and clit “you’re soaking wet, and I barely touched you” she breathed out, leaving kisses and bites all over your figure. Your back arched to wards her, only being able to let out low moans as she kept playing with your clit, you hips moving against her hand “stay still” she kissed your hip, her free hand pushing them down as she made herself comfortable between your legs.
Fuck. The sight of her kissing your thighs, her eyes never leaving yours, it made you clench around nothing. Just realizing how much you have really missed having her like this, making you heavenly desperate for her. Not being able to think properly, only with her clouding your mind.
And when you felt her tongue lick between your lips back to your clit you whole mind and body crumbled. Your head snapping back into the pillow as you let out a loud gasp, hearing Agatha moan into you “fuck, I missed how good you tasted, doll”
She became feral in that moment, eating you up like a mad woman, sucking and nipping at your clit. Loving every sound she pulled from you, how your hands clutched her sheets tightly, trying not to move your hips, obeying to her.
Her name came from your lips in a cry, two fingers pushing inside of you without a warning. She chuckled against your clit at your state, making your body shiver from the vibrations.
You looked so cute, your mouth parted as you tried to control your breathing, eyes closed shut and eyebrows turned into a little frown. Your hand interlocked into her hair, pulling her closer into you, she would have slapped it away in any other situation. But you looked so fucked out already, she let it be, absolutely loving how tight you were clenching around her.
Her fingers in a slow pace, making you whine “if you want anything, you just have to ask for it” she hummed, leaving a kiss over your mound.
“P-please-“ you let out a broken gasp, her teeth biting at your clit “f-fuck, harder, please” you managed you breathe out, damning the woman for making you feel this way.
“Good girl” she hummed proudly, her fingers pumping harder into you, hearing your loud moans as she curled them. Her tongue licking patterns on your clit, a six letter word, Agatha, marking you as hers with the action.
You left the knot on your lower stomach tighten, your hips giving out on you and riding against the woman “fuck, I’m so close Aggie” you whined out, your legs starting to tremble around her.
When you felt her pace fasten, her sucking your clit it drove you to the edge, your orgasm exploding in powerful waves, your body stiffen against her, letting out her name in a broken moan. Agatha guided you through your high, her fingers continuing their slow pace, her lips kissing all over your thigh as she praised you “did so good for me”, “that’s it, good girl”
You weakly pulled her hand away when it became too much, hissing at the loss of contact. She kissed her way up your body, stopping face to face, admiring your flushed state, your breath trying to ease as you opened your eyes slowly to look at her, a faint smile appearing in your lips “hi” you giggled softly.
“Hello beautiful” she chuckled with you, kissing all over your face. You hummed before pulling her into a kiss, moaning when you tasted yourself on her tongue.
She laid by your side, pulling you close to her while she kept kissing you. You interlocked your leg with hers, pulling away from her to breathe. And the two of you stayed like that, your thumb stroking her cheek while her fingers draw the same six letter pattern of before on your waist.
“you’re not running away again, right?”
You could hear the fear in her voice, and it made your heart ache “I won’t, I promise I’m not going anywhere”
Agatha believed you, a smile curling in her lips as she pulled you incredibly close to her, her head sneaking in your neck “good, because I don’t want to write a whole other book about it to make you come back” she mumbled playfully into your skin, feeling your shoulders shake against her as you laughed.
And she laughed with you, both of you feeling like those twenty year old girls in college again.
Two idiots in love with each other.

☆ till the light leaves my eyes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
angst to fluff (?) gn! reader
Jason realized that he can’t let you go. part 1
Lately, Jason had found himself grappling with a host of unsettling thoughts. He couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if he returned your affections, if he could feel the same way about you that you felt about him.
He knew that you brought joy and light into his life, and he couldn’t understand why he was unable to offer you the same. The question of why he couldn’t simply reciprocate your feelings weighed heavily on his mind.
The two of you were currently sitting in a cozy burger shop, surrounded by the warmth and commotion of a Saturday night. The aroma of sizzling burgers and crispy fries filled the air, a familiar and comforting scent. The clinking of silverware against plates and the buzz of chatter from other patrons filled the background, creating a soothing white noise.
You were intently focused on your phone, your expression a mixture of concentration and frustration. Your eyebrow was furrowed, and you were biting your lower lip as you navigated whatever was on the screen.
Jason casually glanced over at you, his eyes tracing your every move. He noticed the frustrated expression on your face and your furrowed brows. “Everythin’ okay over there?” he asked.
You briefly looked up from the screen, giving him a small smile. “Yeah, just frustrated,” you replied, putting your phone down on the table. “My friends are trying to set me up.”
Jason's heart sank a little as he heard your words, but he quickly masked the pain. "Oh, really?" he said, trying to keep his voice casual. "Who's the lucky guy?"
He could see the flush in your face as you scoffed, “Not you too..” you groaned, darting your eyes.
Jason raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing at the edges of his lips. "What? Can't I be curious?” he teased. “Is it someone I know?” You rolled your eyes, a small grin on your face. “You're just as bad as my friends,” you replied, shaking your head. “It's no one you know, trust me.”
He didn't want you to know how much the idea of you dating someone else bothered him, but he knew that he couldn't stand in your way. “You should go for it,” he said, forcing a smile. “You never know unless you try, right?”
Your eyes widened in surprise, could he let go so easily? “You think so?” you blinked.
“Yeah, why not? It could be fun y’know.” He tried to sound encouraging, but the words felt like sandpaper on his tongue. Your eyes dart to your best friend then to your phone. Then you sighed, picking up your phone again “I’ll do it.”
Jason swallowed the lump in his throat as he watched you text back your friends. The idea of you going on a date with someone else made him feel nauseous.
Jason couldn't understand why the prospect of you dating someone else was bothering him so much. He shouldn't be concerned - it was your life, after all. So why did it feel like someone was physically squeezing his heart?
When you started dating someone else, Jason felt an aching emptiness within his heart. Despite the fact that the two of you continued to spend time together, he couldn't shake the pain and heartache of knowing that you now belonged to someone else.
He longed for the days when it was just the two of you, when the bond between you was uncomplicated and unbroken. It was as if a piece of him had been torn away, leaving a gaping hole that he struggled to fill.
As time went on, Jason noticed a gradual drifting apart between the two of you. Maybe it was because he had allowed you to spend more time with someone else, he thought.
He couldn't help but wonder if his inability to fully be with you, to reciprocate your feelings, had led to this gradual separation. The realization filled him with a sense of regret and melancholy, and he found himself grappling with the loss of the closeness once shared.
Jason couldn't help but feel that he had brought this upon himself. He believed that you deserved happiness and love, and he knew that he was unable to give you that. This realization only deepened his sense of guilt and self-blame, as he thought that he had driven you into the arms of another with his emotional unavailability.
The only moments you and Jason spent together now were during your joint patrol duties. The once frequent hangouts and relaxed times spent together had been replaced by moments of necessity and obligation.
Jason noticed that there was something different about your behavior during your patrol one evening. Once the patrol was finished, he decided to head over to your house, his concern growing with each step he took. He cautiously approached your window, giving it a gentle knock, hoping to catch your attention.
When you pulled back the curtains and saw Jason standing there in his full vigilante garb, your eyes widened in surprise. It wasn’t every day that he paid you a visit in this fashion, and the sight was unexpected, to say the least.
You immediately slide open the window “Hi, is there anything you need?”
Jason stood there awkwardly for a moment before clearing his throat “Can I come in?” he asked.
You nodded and stepped aside to allow him to climb through the window and into your room. He looked around, taking in your surroundings before focusing his attention back on you.
You sheepishly smiled “It’s a bit of a mess, I’m sorry.” you scratched your head. Jason's gaze roamed over the room, taking in the mess and disarray. He shrugged, "It's fine," he reassured you. "I've seen worse."
You couldn't help but notice that Jason hadn't addressed you by his usual nickname. It struck you as odd and out of character for him. You fidgeted nervously, your fingers tracing random patterns on the surface of your bed.
He wasn't particularly skilled with words, and he struggled to find the right thing to say. Jason asked, "Are you okay?"
You swallowed hard, your throat feeling tight and constricted. Words failed you for a moment before you managed to force out a response. "I'm..." you trailed off, your voice caught in the emotions you were trying to suppress.
Jason could see the turmoil in your eyes, picking up on the subtle signs of distress. He took a step closer, his expression one of deep concern. "You don't have to hide anything from me," he said gently.
You swallowed again, trying to push down the tightness in your throat. "It's just...been a tough few weeks," you finally managed to get out. “We broke up.”
Jason's expression shifted to one of shock as you revealed that you had just gone through a breakup. His eyes widened, and a mix of surprise and confusion registered on his face. He hadn't been expecting this revelation, and it seemed to hit him unexpectedly.
You had been dealing with the aftermath of a difficult breakup, and seeing Jason again after everything that had happened between you only added to the turmoil inside you. You were grateful for his presence, but the pain and confusion lingered, creating a tangled web of emotions.
Amidst the pain and heartache, there was one singular thought that echoed in your mind — the realization that the person you truly wanted was standing before you. All you longed for was Jason.
Your knuckles turned white as you clenched your fist tightly, the pain and frustration of the breakup. Your gaze flickered downward, finding it hard to meet Jason's gaze. "We just...couldn't make it work," you whispered, your voice shaky.
He hated seeing you like this, suffering and clearly hurting from the aftermath of a failed relationship. The urge to reach out and take away your pain was strong, but he knew he couldn't simply fix it with a few words or a simple gesture.
Instead, he took your clenched hand in his, gently prying your fingers open and intertwining them with his own. "I'm here for you," he said quietly, his voice steady and sincere. "You don't have to go through this alone."
Your eyes stung with tears as you pulled him into a tight embrace. The floodgates opened, and your emotions poured out in that single, desperate gesture. Jason's arms instinctively wrapped around you, holding you close, holding you together.
“I missed you.” your confession was soft, a mere whisper against his chest, but it echoed loudly in his ears. Jason's heart squeezed, a mix of emotions flooding his mind at your words. He pulled you closer, his grip tightening ever so slightly.
"Missed you too, doll." he replied, his voice thick with an unspoken weight. "So much."
“Days without you was so agonizing.” you whispered. He ran his hand gently over your back, a comforting gesture meant to soothe your heart. "I'm here now," he whispered, his voice gentle and firm. "I'm right here… and I'm not going anywhere."
“I can’t love anyone else Jason. I only love you.” Your grip on him tightened, your voice shaking as you confessed your enduring love for him. Jason's heart ached at the pain and vulnerability in your words, and his own grip on you involuntarily tightened as well.
He was tired of resisting his feelings, of denying the truth that he had been fighting against for so long. He couldn't bear the thought of losing you again, of watching you slip through his fingers once more.
Jason's heart ached as he finally let go of his stubborn resistance, acknowledging the love he had for you that he had been trying to ignore. With a surge of determination, he cupped your face in his hands, forcing you to look up at him. He needed you to understand the sincerity of his words.
"Doll," he said, his voice filled with a mixture of tenderness and urgency, "it's always been you. Ever since the beginning, it's only been you."
He pulled you closer, his eyes searching your face as if looking for confirmation that you were hearing the weight of his words.
"Please, believe me," he murmured, his voice ragged with emotion. "I'm done pretending. I can't keep denying what I feel for you." Your breath hitched, you gazed at his eyes. You were absolutely stunned, you had no idea what to say. “What.. what you feel?”
"What I feel for you," he repeated, his tone gentle but firm. "I..." he paused, the words catching in his throat for a moment. "I love you, doll."
Jason’s thumbs gently caressing your cheeks. "I realized it too late, but I can't deny it anymore. I love you. I always have. I always will."
“Jason..” your voice trembles in a small whisper. He leaned in, meeting your lips in a kiss. His arms encircled your waist, pulling you closer to him as he melted in the taste and feel of you.
Your hands clenched the fabric of his jacket, a silent plea for him to stay close, to never let go.
He broke the kiss, his breathing wqs ragged. He rested his forehead against yours, his gaze still filled with intensity. "I know I've been an idiot," he murmured, his voice rough. "But I want to make it right. I want to be with you, doll. If you'll let me."
“I’ll love you till the day that I die.” you responded.

PROMISE — F. READER x GOJO SATORU
You felt sick watching your husband fighting for his life, but your unborn daughter seemed to sleep just fine despite your complete distress. Little that you know, Satoru made some promises to her.
cw: manga spoilers!!! (chapters 223-235 with not much of specific details, but it’s resolved around the events), reader is pregnant — 0,8k words
a/n: this piece has TWO alternative endings — FLUFFY & SWEET & ANGSTY & DEPRESSING — choose your fighter, I guess
Tumblr media
Sick. You felt sick, sitting in the room full of people, most of which you didn’t even recognize. You felt sick watching the screens that showcased live what was happening in the middle of Shinjuku. You felt dizzy and nauseous, and so overwhelmingly sick when you heard people betting money, trying to make profit of something that was so painful for you to watch.
“You think he’s gonna win that?” “Nah, he’s dead.” Some men were talking, chuckling like it was entertainment of the highest level for them. And maybe it was, maybe some sorcerers could benefit from the outcome that you considered the worst one, but you felt like the world was crumbling down in real time. Your world was fighting for his life right in front of your eyes.
You sat there paralyzed, unable to move as all of the voices around you slowly became distant. Yuji’s rambling, Kusakabe’s comments and Yuta’s notes all blurred into one, incoherent noise in the background and you wondered what happened, what went so wrong to lead to all of this. Why it felt like you’ll never see Megumi again? You raised that boy, you talked down his teachers in middle school from expelling him when he beat the hell out of other students, you encouraged him to train harder when he felt down, overwhelmed by the comparison to Gojo’s strength. Why now it felt, like you’ll never get to force another hug out of him, like you’ll never see his grumpy face again? You’ve already lost Tsumiki, the tears from that still felt fresh on your face and now you had to watch your husband on the battlefield, being wounded time after time by a cursed spirit that should have been dead thousand years ago.
You felt your insides turning and twisting into a very tight knot, every time Satoru got hit by Sukuna’s attack, every time you saw blood staining his light skin, you felt a little closer to heart attack. It was a sight you could never familiarize yourself with, Gojo never bled. He never was cut, not even punched and now, all of his body was covered in slits. Just once in your life you saw him in a puddle of blood, decade ago while still in high school and after that, never again. Until today.
You were scared. Petrified with the thought that he might not come back, that you might never feel his warmth again. The idea of going further in your life without him spread out in your mind in the colors of the worst kind of nightmare, your throat clenched, tears rolled down your cheeks as you watched his domain shatter. Infinite void fell down in pieces and the reds and blues were not effective either. It’s worse than nightmare. It was torture.
You felt the pain, deep in your heart, spreading in waves to every cell of your body. You wanted to go there, to jump in and help him, to shield him from the attack even if it would cost you your own life. You wanted to go there and slap Sukuna out of Megumi, to hold the boy to your heart and tell him that it wasn’t his fault, that everything’s gonna be alright. But you couldn’t do either of those things. You knew you’d only be an obstacle, a limiting factor to your husband’s abilities. You knew your tears wouldn’t bring Fushiguro back. You were strong on your own, but now, you were helpless just as everyone else. And you had a life to protect.
And so, you sat there, rubbing soft circles into the bump of your stomach that held the little girl that was yet to come to this world, wondering if she’ll get to know her father. She will, you knew that, deep down underneath all of the layers of fear and worry, you knew that Satoru will win, because he has to win. He has to be there with you, he has to know if his daughter has the same blue eyes as him and the same cute nose as you, because he bet on that. He has to be there to take all of those goofy selfies with the newborn, he has to be there to showoff the miracle that he’s created with you, to be able to put new title to his name – the best dad.
The baby seemed to be sleeping, calm in your stomach despite the utter distress that consumed you. She probably knew better than you not to worry about Satoru. She probably knew that her daddy will never leave her. He promised that to her, when before leaving to the Shinjuku district he pressed his lips to the curve of your bump, whispering things you barely heard.
He made a promise so he had to keep it.

uhmmmm little thing i wrote for practice...... spare me ive been taking creative writing for approximately two weeks . its about color being gifted his camera
-
September 16th. Color hadn’t known (remembered) when their birthday was until earlier that month. They and Ink were chatting it up about Color’s AU when Ink had mentioned the creation date.
“Since all Sanses were technically born on April 1st, most just consider their birthdays to be the day their universes were created–so: happy early birthday!” They had exclaimed.
Color couldn’t remember the last time they had celebrated such a thing. There was no time in the void, they nor Gaster could have ever guessed when any holidays were, not even their birthdays. They could only scratch lines into the crumbling pillars of Judgement Hall when a day might have passed–which meant little in the void.
The idea of their birthday coming up scared them a little. They didn’t want to have a party, a dinner, or any big event that surrounded them. It had only been a few months, many hospital visits and psychiatric appointments, as well as way too much meeting new people since they had arrived at the Omega Timeline. Delta was the only person they truly called a friend, and even he could be too much sometimes. They ultimately decided not to tell anybody about their upcoming birthday, but fate had other plans.
Delta had knocked on their bedroom door, leaving it open a pinch after Color hesitantly allowed him in. But Color could only stare awkwardly and mumble a simple “thanks” as the words “happy birthday” came out of his mouth.
“A little birdie told me,” He mused, winking. Ink, of course, that blabbermouth. Delta moved to plop down on the edge of the bed, looking at Color for permission first. He was holding a medium-sized box in his gauntlets. “I know we haven’t known each other for that long, and this is gonna sound cheesy, but I value our friendship.”
Color silently nodded. Kindness urged them to say something nice in return, but they couldn’t find the words. Get to the point already, they thought, practically hearing Patience shake her head.
“Me and Epic put our money together to get you something. I know you don't like a lot of company, so I didn’t invite him, but he says happy birthday too.” He grinned enthusiastically at Color, who smiled weakly in return.
“You didn’t have to do that,” Color’s flames danced in a green blob, teal teetering at the edges. “You already do enough, really, you don’t have to spend more money on me.”
“I know, it’s just…” Delta continued, rubbing the vertebrae on the back of his neck. “It’s your first birthday here, and I wanted to do something. Here.”
Delta passed the box over to Color. It was heavy. Not too big, though. A cute shade of pink wrapped neatly in a white ribbon. Just looking at it made Color nauseous. Doubtful, they looked up at Delta, who nodded in encouragement.
Delicately, Color unraveled the ribbon, slipping off the top of the box and putting it to the side. They felt Delta’s eyes on them as they took out the paper fill, phalanges stopping in their path as Color stared down at the object. The shiny reflection of glass stared back at them, a lens attached to a little gadget of buttons and adjustment settings.
“A camera?” The quiet words slipped out of their teeth as they stared down at it. “Why?”
“I…see you looking at that photo a lot.” Color turned their head back towards Delta, confusion evident in their expression.
“What?”
“The photo on your nightstand. Your younger siblings, right?” He gestured to the framed photo that stood on its own under the lamplight. The symbol of everything Color had lost. “It's the only thing you put up in here. Everything else was donated.”
Color glanced at the photo, then Delta, then back at the camera they held gingerly in their hands. They hadn’t realized how much that said about them. To think Delta could read them so easily–it was scary. But there was a warmth in every soul inside of Color that started to burn as they listened to Delta speak.
“I lost people I cared about, just like you, and made it my life mission to help people I couldn’t in the past. But even with my newfound purpose, I still find myself back there, stuck in the past.” He looked at Color. “I see it in you when you look at that photo. Like you’re sucked in, back there with your family, no longer in the present with me. Like I could look back to you and find nothing there.”
“I guess what I'm trying to say is…you seem to value that picture more than you value anything else. It almost traps you. And I was wondering if the idea of taking more pictures like it could benefit you. Give you new things to cherish, to hold dear to your heart like your family.”
“But if I’ve learned one thing in this god-dammed multiverse, it’d be that family doesn’t have to be formed by blood. It doesn’t have to be found in old memories of lost loved ones. And you can find it in the strangest of places.” He chuckled. “You’ve met Epic. He’s weird and crazy, but…he means a lot to me. You mean a lot to me. All of the memories I’ve made here are what keep me going. And those are the memories that matter–not the ones in the back of your skull that make you all depressed. Are you picking up what I'm putting down?”
Color was already hugging him. They were burying their face into Delta's shoulder, squeezing their eye shut. Their voice cracked pathetically as they spoke. “Did you have a long talk with Dream?”
“Hah. I wish. You got me all sappy.” He exhaled, wrapping his arm around Color to rub their back. “You need a tissue?”
“You know I can’t shed tears.”
“Right. Flamehead.”
Silence. But for once it was a comfortable silence.
“Thanks...For the camera. It was thoughtful.” Color finally said, retreating to their spot. They looked back at the camera in the box. “I think I’ll keep it forever.”

I’m Not Your F*cking Maid
Chapter 11
By the time I’d passed the security check, introduced myself to the two other girls currently on shift and found my dressing room, the nerves were starting to dissipate. Through each step and each new room I’d entered I was making countless mental notes on every security camera and exit I could see. It wasn’t hard to tell that everyone except the bar and wait staff and the dancers were all vampires - their noses twitching and eyes widening whenever I’d walked past. I was clearly fresh meat - perhaps not in the immediate future, but I’m guessing that as soon as I’d served my purpose in luring unknowing human men to their untimely demise, I’d be next. Or at least kept as a blood bag, and I didn’t know which was worse.
A sharp knock on the door brought me back to reality, the vamp on the other side not even waiting for a reply as he barged in.
“You’re sure taking your time sweet cheeks, everything ok?” His sharp gaze twinkled as he looked at me, as if searching for any sort of vulnerability. I huffed out a final deep breath of nerves before standing straight and forcing a smile, shimmying out of my thick overcoat and throwing it over the back of the chair I was just leaning on. On the revelation of my figure and my outfit he let out a long, low whistle.
“Well don’t you just look good enough to eat?”
I swallowed despite my mouth being dry, trying my best to bring my confidence to the forefront and to ignore what he is.
“Well you wouldn’t be the first to say so,” I almost felt nauseous from having to sound so sweet. “Why don’t you lead the way and show me where I’m supposed to be?”
He didn’t take any convincing as he led me out the room and down a short corridor that was lined with what I’m assuming are other dressing rooms.
“What’s in there?” I asked, my gaze snagging on a metal door that didn’t look like the rest. It looked more like a vault, with an intricate lock system that seemed to need both keys and fingerprints.
“Errrrr, just the boss's office. Nothing to worry your pretty little head about,” he placed his hand on my hair, making me shudder.
“Oh ok… will I ever get to meet the boss?” I asked, tilting my head to the side. Keeping up with this cutie-pie act was going to be more draining than I thought. He stayed quiet for a moment before speaking up, an unsettling look on his face.
“Of course doll face! When the time is right.”
*
About two hours had passed since I arrived at the club and a steady stream of men (occasionally women) was filtering in. I was currently up on a podium and trying not to think too hard about how I should be dancing whilst keeping my eyes peeled on the crowd, every now and then making eye contact with the patrons and blowing them a sickening kiss with a sultry wink. Every time I slipped away for a ‘toilet break’ I'd unlock as many windows and doors as I could find whilst turning security cameras towards the wall. I'd counted around fifteen vampires milling around as I snuck about, and there were definitely more behind that metal door. This place was about as prepared as possible for Sam and Dean to sneak in, so I sent Charlie a text with all the details I had knowing full well she could no longer see me through the cameras she'd hacked into.
I'd been back on my podium for about ten minutes, moving my body to the loud bass of the blaring music under the erotic lighting which glowed all manner of pinks and reds, when the front door opened again to let another patron in. Except this wasn't a patron.
It was Dean.
I cursed under my breath, frowning at him across the dance floor despite the fact he hadn't seen me yet. What the actual fuck was he doing coming in through the front door? I didn't play mission impossible and find countless ways for him to break in just so that he could waltz in, bold as brass and blow our cover. I watched him as he stopped in the centre of the room, illuminated by the lights that cast angular shadows over his rugged face. He was alert, jaw clenched and eyes scouring the crowd until his gaze eventually landed on me. With my arms above my head and gripping the pole behind me he was able to get a good look at what was hiding underneath my overcoat when he last saw me. Eyes glazing over and Adam's apple bobbing, he was instantly ensnared. I focused entirely on him; sinking to my knees and crawling my hands forwards, beckoning him with a single finger to which he eagerly obliged. The older Winchester stood before me, eyes almost sparkling from the lustful lighting as he gaped up at me. His evergreen eyes shone in adoration as they bore into mine, almost completely disregarding the lasciviousness of the rest of my body. It was almost…
Romantic.
I leant forwards, my painted lips brushing against his ear and pulling a shiver from his spine. I could have been mistaken, but I’m sure I heard a groan.
“What the FUCK are you doing here, Dean?”
He blinked, suddenly remembering he was on earth.
“What?”
“The plan! What happened to the plan? You were supposed to go around the back - I made it easy for you to sneak in! This place is well guarded Dean.”
“Yeah well, I wanted to make sure you were- hang on- are you a MAID?” He stepped back to take a better look at me as I sat up, trying not to draw attention to myself for staying still for too long. My eyes rolled on their own accord.
“Dean now really isn’t the tim-”
“Holy crap you’re a maid. You’re a MAID. So there is a God,” he dramatically put his hands together as though in prayer and mouthed ‘thank you’ to the disco ball on the ceiling.
“Dean-”
“Nuh-uh, I’m not letting anyone ruin this for me - not even you. Carry on, pretend I’m not Dean and there aren’t any vamps to kill; just for two minutes,” he settled into one of the chairs in front of my podium, flagging a waitress down for a whiskey in the process. There was no arguing with Dean Winchester, especially when he was ticking something off his bucket list. Grasping the pole behind me I pulled myself to my feet, hooking my leg around it and spinning slowly.
“So, NOT-Dean, where’s not-Sam?”
He took a long sip from his liquor before licking his lips, his eyes transfixed on my thighs.
“He's uhhh…. He's sneaking in through some window round the back.”
“Oh, so like you should be?”
He smirked over the top of his glass, spreading his legs a little wider as he settled further into his chair, his other hand resting in his lap.
“Don't deny a man his pleasures sweetheart.”
A half hearted scoff left my lips before I climbed higher on the pole, leaning back so I was almost upside down, granting Dean the perfect view of my lingerie as my micro-skirt flipped over my belly. Spinning slightly, I caught him adjusting himself in his jeans right as I pulled myself back upright.
“You seem pretty at home in a strip club,” my voice came out more breathy than intended as I moved my body in time with the music.
“I can say the same about you,” he quipped back, dark eyes burning into my exposed skin. Licking the last drop of whiskey from his bottom lip, he placed his glass back on the table before standing; taking long, slow steps towards my podium, the toes of his boots touching the metal. I got down on my knees, bringing myself to his eye level before taking his chin between my thumb and index finger and drawing his bewitched face nearer. We ignored the shouts from security telling Dean he wasn’t allowed to touch as I ghosted my lips over his. I could feel his chest rising and falling in anticipation for a simple kiss, his mouth agape and eyes darting about my features - trying to take all of me in. His restraint snapped and he leant forward, pressing his mouth to mine - hot and needy. A large hand reached up and long fingers wrapped around my wrist, rough skin tickling at my pulse as he guided my hand from his chin to his hair, urging me to grip it. Just as I grasped at its softness he was forced away from me, two of the vamps shoving aggressively at his shoulders and putting some distance between us.
“Keep your hands off the girls! You know the rules,” one of them practically spat out his words to Dean, who in return had a feral look in his eye as I caught his hand inching closer and closer to the blade concealed within his jacket.
“Sorry it was my fault!” I blurted, all eyes now burning into me. “It's my first shift and I forgot I shouldn't let it get that far. Don't blame him, it was me who was too…. encouraging.” I flashed sickly-sweet doe eyes at the vamp sizing up Dean, biting my lip in apprehension before he sighed and let go, shaking his head.
“I’ll let you off this time as you’re the newbie, but don’t let it happen again.”
“Yes’sir!” I tapped my fingers to my forehead in a pretend salute, hearing the fanged ones curse under their breath before walking away, throwing one last warning look at Dean - who looked like the cat that got the cream - before returning to their posts. When I knew that they were definitely out of earshot, I snapped at Dean.
“You could’ve totally blown everything!”
Shrug.
“But I didn’t.”
“Dean, you need to go. Sam is going to be wondering where you are. Find him before you get caught.”
“And what about you?” He chewed his lip, unable to stop his eyes from wandering.
“I’m going to stay here and stick to the plan. I’ll run at the first sign of trouble, so please don’t worry about me,” I sighed, looking down at his puppy-dog eyes.
“(Y/n) I’m always gonna worry about you.”
*
It must have been about twenty minutes since Dean left to find Sam and my heart was pounding in my chest knowing how close they were and the possible danger they were in. I didn’t know what doors they were behind, or how many vamps they’d taken out, and I certainly didn’t know if they were unharmed. My palms felt sweaty on the pole as I danced, making it hard for me to grip and put on a good show. Now was as good a time as any to have a toilet break and grab some coffee. I hopped down from my podium as the song ended and hurried to the back of the club, darting through a ‘staff only’ door to the break room. I poured myself a small cup of coffee, adding an obscene amount of sugar to stop my knees from trembling. I’d barely swallowed my first mouthful when I heard shouts and crashing from down the hall, my fingers instantly loosening from the mug as my high-heeled feet carried me to the door where I peaked out, desperate to know what was going on yet mindful not to be seen. There was no one in the corridor that I could see, yet I checked left and right to make sure I wasn’t being watched before I slipped out, teetering on my platforms as I tiptoed to where I was sure the noise had come from.
It was the metal door.
I poked my head down the corridor where it was located and was grateful to see it unlocked and sitting ajar. Inching closer I could hear a scuffle from within and the sound of heavy bodies dropping like lead to the floor, followed by Sam and Deans unintelligible murmuring. A sigh of relief left my lips when I heard them, knowing it wasn’t their bodies hitting the cold tiles below. That relief froze in my veins however when I heard a third voice speak up. A voice that was smooth like butter. A voice that drew you in with a silky southern accent.
A voice that I knew to be dead.
Hesitation and reasoning left in the dust, I barged forwards and into the room, shoving the metal door wide and startling the Winchester brothers, their eyes widening at my sudden appearance. Before they even had the chance to open their mouths, slow clapping echoed through the ‘old money’ style office, emanating from behind a large mahogany desk.
“And there she is! The star of my show. It’s about time you showed up darlin’,” that southern voice dripped with charisma as a handsome man, around my age, sat in a crisp stone-coloured, three piece suit.
“Hey! Don’t you talk to her, you’re dealing with us,” Dean was quick to bite. The stranger threw him a sharp glare before rising to his feet, his cold gaze landed on me again and burned me through to my very soul.
“Y-y-you’re de-” I started before being immediately cut off.
“I bet you never thought you’d see me again, hm? Especially not like this,” he gestured to himself.
“(Y/n),” Sam’s cautious eyes landed on mine, “how do you know him? He’s a vampire.”
I opened my mouth to reply, but yet again I was interrupted before a sound passed my lips.
“Oh (Y/n) and I go waaaaaaaay back, don’t we darlin’?”
I could see Dean inching closer to me out of the corner of my eye, trying not to draw attention to himself in the process. I opened my mouth to speak again, my lips and tongue feeling dry and numb, like they didn’t want to utter the word about to be spoken.
“Daniel I-”
“BINGO!” He clapped loudly, “she DOES remember her old sweetheart.”
“WHAT!?” Both Sam and Dean spun to look at me with dumbfounded expressions, a whole array of emotions flitting across their features.
“(Y/n) you dated a vamp?” Sam asked, those big eyes of his glistening with concern.
“He wasn’t a vamp when I knew him; he’s supposed to be dead!” I turned from Sam to Daniel, the confusion clearly evident on my face, “you’re supposed to be dead - I watched you die - how are you here?”
A harsh laugh rippled from his chest.
“Paramedic was a vampire sweet-cheeks. He turned me on the way to the morgue after he pronounced me dead at the scene - stroke of genius really. Although,” he paused, walking around the desk to step towards me, the boys reaching for every weapon on their person to have at the ready, “what’s even more genius is that ad we put out for a dancer.”
“What?”
He scoffed.
“You think it’s a stroke of good luck that you just happen to look exactly like the description we posted? Honey I knew from the moment I turned what you and your uncle did for living - the dots seemed to connect all on their own. And I knew that one day - whether now or in a few years - that you or some other hunter you might know would pass through my nest and see it. I knew it would bring you back to me.”
“Whoa whoa whoa, hang on their sparkles; she’s not going anywhere with you,” Dean had pushed his way in between me and Daniel, the eldest Winchester standing a few inches taller than him as they went nose-to-nose.
Daniel grimaced, fangs threatening to show.
“Why is her scent all over you? Don’t tell me you two are involved?”
Dean smirked before I shoved him out the way, his thick fingers protectively wrapping around my wrist as a safety line.
“Daniel I-,” I took a deep breath, “I loved you once. A long, long time ago. But to me, in my world; you died. And I grieved you. God I grieved you for years, and then one day I woke up and my heart didn’t hurt as much anymore. I carried on with my life, the heartache easing a little everyday. Until there was no more heartache - no more pain. I was whole again. Daniel - you’re still dead in my world. Nothing is going to change.”
He reached for my hand but Dean put an arm between us, stopping him in his tracks.
“(Y/n), darlin’, I put that ad out because I still love you. We can still be together - forever. Just let me turn you-”
“Aannnd that’s it loverboy, times up,” Dean pushed me behind him and brandished the hunting blade he’d use to slice my underwear from my body about a week ago on our first hunt together. Right as Daniel bared his fangs and lunged for Dean, I felt another hand grab my arm. I spun and came toe-to-toe with Sam who was quietly beckoning for me to follow him whilst the vampire was distracted. We left the room quietly, running down corridors, twisting and turning and falling through one of the side doors I had unlocked earlier in the night and out into the fresh air. I took a few deep breaths, not realising how much the metallic scent of blood had filled my nostrils.
“Sam what about Dean?! We can't just leave him behind he-”
Sam laughed softly.
“If you want a vamp dead, Dean will always come out on top. He'll be just fine.”
Sam helped me to my feet, looking down at me, his gaze turning from reassuring to questionable. I sighed, weariness starting to settle into my bones.
“I know, I know. I can explain it all later,” I said, starting to shuffle back to the impala, seeking the comfort of its plush leather seats.
“What? No, (Y/n) you don’t owe me an explanation if you don’t want to. I just want to know if you’re ok?”
I stopped and looked up at him, and something about the kindness of his voice and the concern in his eyes had me falling to my knees, my body heaving out a sob. Then another. And another. Until I couldn’t stop for air and hot tears washed my makeup down my face and my hair stuck to the streaks they left behind. Sam simply crouched down and pulled me into him, rubbing my back and telling me softly that everything will be ok. It was a comfort to feel his chin on my head and his heartbeat beneath my fingertips, the steady thrum eventually soothing away my anguish.
I have no idea how long we were sat there for, but he eventually coaxed me to my feet and led me to the car where Charlie was waiting with a pained expression. She would have seen, or at least heard everything that went down through the security cameras linked to her tablet - she was one of the few people in this life that had met my ex.
I was gently manoeuvred into the back seat, my head resting on Charlie's lap as she played with my hair. Sam had waited outside the impala for a few minutes before climbing into the passenger seat, slamming the door closed. Not five minutes had passed when the door slammed again as Dean clambered in, the stench of blood thick on his clothes, however the comforting scent of his cologne still managed to waft through. He turned to face me, those mossy green eyes piercing into mine as he said with the gentlest tone he could muster:
“It’s done, sweetheart.”

"LSW - EPILOGUE"
TRANSLATION: NARU-KUN
"Hey, Yata, did you know? Scepter 4 members live in dormitories."
That happened when he was eating with Totsuka at the bar counter. Totsuka suddenly said something as if he had always had an idea.
"What is this all of a sudden? I know... that guy told me."
Yata replied with a loud pout.
One day, half of the luggage suddenly disappeared from the room the two had been living in since the end of high school, and then moved into the Scepter 4 dorm, a statement that made him question his sanity. Was this the trick of the cat ears and earthworms?! He thought afterward as he stomped his feet.
Soon after, Yata also left that room. Every time he went to bed, he would notice the emptiness above his head and couldn’t help but feel nauseous.
"So, since it’s a dorm, does it have a dining room or something?"
"Eh? I don't know..."
"I wonder if he's eating enough food. You know, Fushimi is a picky eater, so I don't think there's much proper set menu in the cafeteria. What do you think, Yata?"
"I don't know! Why do I have to worry about the traitor's food?!"
When Totsuka continued to talk insensitively, Yata got angry and slammed his fist on the counter. The plate bounced off and the cup fell over, flooding the counter with water. Fortunately, Kusanagi wasn't there, so he was saved from punishment.
Totsuka looked surprised and took a step back. Feeling awkward, Yata looked down and pulled both fists, including the spoon in his right hand, out from under the counter.
He kicked the empty loft from below dozens of times above his head and fell headfirst onto his bed, clutching his legs and saying, "It hurts!" He yelled at himself... He just couldn't control his anger. He went crazy for a while, venting his anger outside of himself, but when he felt empty and stopped, something suddenly rose up in his throat and he felt an incomprehensible feeling of regret. Although he said he was sorry, he didn't know exactly what he was sorry for. However, for Yata, it was nothing more than a feeling of regret.
He regretted it. He grabbed a pillow and pressed it hard against his face, gritting his teeth so hard that his mouth cut and regretting it no matter what.
"Ah, if that guy changes his mind and apologizes, and says he wants to go back, we'll bow to Mikoto-san together. He's not the type to bow to anyone, so I'll bow to him, and if Mikoto-san doesn't feel satisfied unless he hit Saruhiko, then he'll hit me along with him."
"Well, if King really hits you, will Yata die?! Are you okay?!"
Totsuka was surprised at how over the top he was, so he flinched and said, "Ugh!" For Yata, coming into contact with Suoh's suspicions is scarier than any ghost story or horror movie.
"I... Still, I'm ready. I won't let Saruhiko get beaten up alone."
His voice was hoarse. However, he clenched his fist tighter, stared at the counter, and finished his sentence.
"Yeah, well, I think it's manly to be prepared for that, but isn't it a little one-sided? I wonder if that's what Fushimi wants."
"...? What do you mean? Don't say things like you already know them..."
He felt strangely angry and glared at him. Totsuka had a calm smile on his face as always.
"This is what King and the Blue King look like."
Then, he suddenly started talking again.
"It's not like they're just fighting each other like you think, Yata. Well, it seems like there's a lot going on in Fushimi's position, and it would be nice if we could talk someday... Even... If I say this now, Yata, you still don't get it, right?"
When he laughed at Yata, who asked indignantly, "Are you making fun of me?" Totsuka raised his hands in surrender and said, "Sorry, sorry."
"Well, remember what I said someday, somewhere. Even if I'm not there at that time."
"Hey, please don't say things like you're going to die someday. That brings bad luck."
When he said that in a particularly grumpy manner, Totsuka simply smiled.
++++++++++
No Blood, No Bone, No Ash!
No Blood, No Bone, No Ash!
No Blood, No Bone, No Ash!
As he excitedly waved his fists in the air, stamped his foot, and raised his voice, his surroundings became warm. Yata looked left and right with teary eyes.
He didn't know where they came from, but before he knew it, sparks were dancing all over the area.
It wasn't that... there was light. All around him, his friends were shaking their fists and chanting the same words in unison, and from each of their bodies light was born, like little lives separating. As if calling out to one another, the light gathered, dyeing the white landscape red as it rose into the sky covered in snow clouds.
"Ah..."
When he looked at his chest, he saw that the mark on his body was also exuding a soft red light.
Another light was born from within him and he let himself be carried away by the light of his companions.
He felt that Suoh's flame still resided deep within the mark that remained on his body. The flame filled his body with a gentle warmth. It was as if the fierce anger that Suoh had held within him as a wild king was dissipating and beginning to crumble.
"Mikoto-san..."
Following the light, Yata raised his tear-soaked face.
"No Blood, No Bone, No Ash! No Blood, No Bone, No Ash...!!"
He held the spot tightly and let out a loud voice as if to let go of the emotions welling up within him.
Looking up from there, he saw a line of armored vehicles with blue markings stopping on the railing of the bridge that connects Gakuenjima and the mainland. He saw a light gently floating above the bridge, moving away from the group of lights of his companions.
Fushimi was holding the same place as Yata with his hand, looking up at the sky with a strange expression on his face, as if he had lost some of his poison.
(Oh, shit...)
Yata cursed in his heart.
Why is he remembering that now? Totsuka-san, did he know he would leave one day? Was he talking about this moment?
Now that he can't do that again, he realized that he should have taken the plunge and asked Suoh what the Blue King meant to him.
He wanted to ask Totsuka what he really meant when he suddenly said something like that and said that Yata still didn't understand, but now that he can't do that again, he realized.
It's annoying for Yata to admit that, but if there's something that can help him, it's...
He's alive. They can still meet as many times as they want, express their doubts and anger, and try to talk.
"No Blood, No Bone, No Ash! No Blood, No... Idiot Monkey! No Ash!"
He doesn't know if he heard the insults mixed with his anger, but Fushimi glared at him.
The two exchanged glances on and off the bridge.
As everyone continued to chant in unison, Yata glared at Fushimi without taking his eyes off. He raised his voice even louder, intending to smash him into the bridge. He kept screaming even when his voice was hoarse, he pounded the ground even when he couldn't feel his legs anymore, and he kept swinging his fists even when he couldn't lift his arms.

Eddie was dealing with a lot of firsts today.
The biggest one being the first time he was getting married. Though, Eddie really hoped it wouldn’t be the last. If his fantasies about this day came true he was going to have to insist on a vow renewal somewhere down the line. Fuck it, if even a quarter of what he wanted came through he’d still insist on it. He was never not going to like showing Steve off, and this was the most ostentatious way he could get away with.
Next, and most distressing, this was the first time Eddie had ever felt the lethal mixture of being incredibly happy and horrifyingly nauseous. He had no idea that a person could feel both things at once, and Eddie was starting to think the ability was just a flaw of the human condition.
And last, he is a 100 percent sure he had never been this damn nervous in his entire life. Especially when the source of it was entirely self-made. It was an uncomfortable reminder of how he used to feel with Steve, back when he decided to be a fucking crazy person.
But this was so much worse.
“You really need to relax,” Chrissy said for the hundredth time, watching as Eddie fiddled in front of the mirror, “That anti-perspirant can only go so far.”
“I know,” Eddie sighed. He was on one today, he knew that. But knowing it wasn’t stopping any of his anxiety. Eddie was trying to fix his hair in the mirror, suddenly unpleased with how it was styled but unwilling to go bother the stylist that did it. She was busy enough with everyone else, let alone the fact that he didn’t even know why he didn’t like it. If anything he was just making it worse. But then again, Steve always said he liked his hair wild, right?
“Hon, I’m serious,” Chrissy sighed, grabbing for his hand to drag him away, “You are driving yourself crazy for nothing. Everything is going to be okay. He’s going to be there. Are you forgetting that it was Steve who asked you to marry him?”
Eddie couldn’t help but smile at the memory, even now. The little shit had beaten him to the punch by a matter of days, completely ruining Eddie’s elaborate proposal plans. No, instead Steve decided to do it in the dead of night, getting down on one knee in the middle of their living room after getting destroyed at an impromptu game of scrabble.
Eddie should have seen it coming, he really should have. But he had been so caught up trying to plan his own proposal he had completely missed the signs. Like how Steve kept picking movies that involved proposals and weddings, and how he was always very interested in what Eddie thought of them. Eddie just hadn’t realized how many notes he’d been taking around his innocuous comments. Not until Steve showed him the scrawled out list he had made down the line:
Not public, he said he wouldn’t want to cry in front of a bunch of strangers. Not again (whoops, sorry babe but at least this one would have been happy tears?)
Close to a bed or a bed-like surface for “celebrating” (I should have seen that one coming)
Diamonds are apparently ~stupid~ so look at colored stones instead (maybe emerald for his birthstone? Stick with sliver tones.)
No where cold so he can focus on the moment instead of freezing
Make it a surprise (But not outside? I don’t want to wait till summer though. Maybe I can do it randomly? Like when his back is turned?)
Write. A. Speech.
Eddie had to give it to him, his notes weren’t in vain. It had been amazing. Tailor-made to him in a way he didn’t even fully get until it was over. Because he had started crying, right in the middle of their living room with no one but Steve to see him. And it had felt so fucking safe. There was no embarrassment, no worrying over someone he didn’t know taking their moment to share with more strangers, none of it. It was just them.
He had fucking loved the ring, the colors, the style, all of it fit him perfectly. The only thing he loved more had been dragging Steve straight to their bedroom spoil him rotten for hours. The speech had been beautiful, for what he had managed to hear through his own excitement and tears. He had ended up asking Steve to write it down for him considering how he couldn’t trust his own memory. Now it sat on a cute index card he kept in his wallet, right alongside his cute scrawled out list, a constant reminder that Steve Harrington wanted him.
It had been perfect. Almost too perfect. Perfect enough for Eddie to be where he was right now, the doubt of how he ended up with Mr. Perfect.

ANTON 01. 🐇﹕ꕤ﹔ FALLING BEHIND
Growing up rather shy, Anton found himself falling behind in the love department. Perhaps all it would take was joining the Glee Club for him to finally make progress in his love life.
Tumblr media
⌇#GENRE ◠﹒glee au + fluff + angst + love at first sight + anton is down bad LMAO#PAIRING ◠﹒anton lee x fem! reader #WARNINGS ◠﹒none?
Tumblr media
Anton stared at the white heart imprinted onto his latte. His face was emotionless but if you looked close enough, perhaps you could see the intrigue swirling in his eyes.
Some people would say it’s just a random design. But to Anton, it sort of felt like more than that. It felt like a sign from the universe that love would slap him in the face soon enough.
But how silly was that? He knew it was stupid, but he couldn’t help but hope. After all 18 years of his life with no romantic interactions whatsoever, he felt that he was falling behind. To him, it was upsetting. All his friends had partners at least once in their lives before, so what was wrong with him? What was it about Anton that was so undesirable that he couldn’t get a girlfriend for the life of him?
As Anton stirred the ivory tint of the drink, he frowned. Perhaps he was never meant to be loved. Perhaps his shyness was an indicator that he would never find love.
The more that he thought about it the white foam swirled around the cup until it became to unrecognizable and blended into one large mess.
He then looked up to the man in front of him with a judging expression, and scoffed.
“You want me to what?”
“Join the Glee Club, Anton.” Mr. Jeon pleaded the boy. “We need more guys, and you have a really nice voice.”
The idea made him laugh a bit. Anton? Apart of the Glee Club? Mr. Jeon wanted him to do show choir? He was the quarterback of the football team. If he joined a club that no one respected, especially for guys like him, he would have even lower a chance of getting a girlfriend. He would probably even be shunned by his own teammates.
Besides, performing was a little too much for him. Of course he enjoyed singing, that’s why Mr. Jeon found out he could sing in the first place (he had overheard Anton singing to himself in the shower after football practice). But he could never see himself performing on stage for people to see. Being on the football team gave him some unwanted spotlight, but most of the time he was wearing his football gear so people couldn’t exactly see his face most of the time. If he were to be performing, he would have to dress up and have bright lights shining down on him.
It made him too nauseous to think about.
“I’m sorry Mr. Jeon, but I don’t think I would be able to…” Anton started. “With football and everything.”
Mr. Jeon handed him a piece of paper. “Don’t worry, I took the liberty of making sure rehearsals didn’t clash with your football practices. I also asked your coach if it was alright that I scouted you, and he gave me the green light.”
The man was right. Every rehearsal from then until the end of the year was perfectly planned so that he would have enough time to do both. It was quite scary, actually. Perhaps Mr. Jeon was scarier than he had let on.
“I don’t want to force you to do it if you really don’t want to,” Mr Jeon continued. “But please think about it. We have a lot of fun in rehearsals and I think you would get along with everyone! I know you love singing, and I think Glee would really help you showcase your abilities.”
“With all due respect, I don’t think people would see me the same way if I joined a club like Glee.” Anton wasn’t one to lie, and he wasn’t sure if the teacher was aware of how the general student population viewed Glee.
Mr. Jeon chuckled at what he said. “I know that Glee isn’t generally seen in a positive light to you guys, but I don’t think that should matter.”
“What do you mean?” Anton asked, curious to what he was talking about.
“Why don’t you come to our next rehearsal?” Mr Jeon said. “When you see these kids sing, I think you’ll change your mind.”
Anton didn’t doubt that they were talented, but he wasn’t sure how seeing them sing could make him change his mind. “What’s in it for me?”
“I’ll give you detention if you don’t.”
What Anton forgot was that at the end of the day, Mr. Jeon still had a position of power over him.
Tumblr media
Room 201.
Anton stared at the instructions that Mr. Jeon had sent to him, and sighed. He really didn’t want to watch Glee practice. However, his need to not get detention was much higher. It would put a stain on his perfect record, and he didn’t need that.
Begrudgingly, he begun to make his way towards the room. The time read 3:25 which gave him 5 minutes to get to the room before he was late.
Anton discreetly walked over to Room 201 while avoiding the stares of his teammates, as he knew they wouldn’t let him hear the end of it. Perhaps he cared a little too much of what the people around him thought.
But with his shy persona, he really didn’t want to be shunned from his friends. He didn’t want girls to judge him. He had enough time talking to people as it was, he didn’t need that extra judgement.
Anton didn’t care about being popular or having a lot of friends. He just wanted to have people by his side.
As he neared the Glee room, he contemplated on just turning back and taking the detention. After all, one infraction on his record couldn’t be too bad right? Especially after so long of getting perfect grades and perfect attendance, as well as his status of the quarterback. Colleges would be able to look past one measly detention.
He really didn’t want to go there.
“Kiss today, goodbye. The sweetness and the sorrow.”
What was that voice?
Who was it?
“Wish me luck the same to you.”
Once Anton was by the door, he could hear the voice more clearly.
“But I won’t regret, what I did for love. What I did for love.”
He peered through the glass to see just who was singing, and his jaw dropped.
“Look my eyes are dry”
Y/N L/N.
He had always heard that name uttered throughout the hallways and ridiculed by his football teammates. Oftentimes, people would describe her as annoying, stuck up, and ugly. Girls would laugh at her put together appearance and guys would make fun of her body shape. Although Anton never saw anything inherently wrong with the girl, the entire student body was under the impression was that she was the devil.
“The gift was ours to borrow.”
One thing that everyone knew about Y/N, and was a fact even she would agree upon, was that the girl was a born performer. She made it abundantly clear that her dreams were to become a Broadway performer, and that she would stop at nothing to reach that goal.
There was one occasion during French class that he shared with her that Y/N got into an argument with the teacher because she wanted to leave for an audition, and the teacher didn’t let her. In the end, Y/N ended up storming out of the classroom anyways.
At the time, Anton thought it amusing.
“Oh it’s as if we always knew, and I won’t forget.”
Anton had read once on Y/N’s blog that she was immediately trained to sing from the moment she was born and put into acting classes. So he knew that she had talent.
“What I did for love, what I did for love.”
But as Anton stared at Y/N, who stood alone practicing in the empty rehearsal room, he felt something ignite inside him.
Despite knowing that the girl had the talent, he never actually saw her singing. She wasn’t just good at singing in the way that people were usually good at singing.
Y/N’s voice could only be described as one dipped in honey. It was too sweet to be real, and Anton even pinched himself to make sure he wasn’t dreaming.
“Gone, love is never gone.”
It was weird. Before that point, Y/N was never someone he would think about. In fact, she only ever crossed his mind if she was forced there. Even if she had passed by him in the hallways, he would barely give her a second glance.
Seeing her in such a state, with the light perfectly reflecting off of the windows and casting an angelic aura onto her face, he couldn’t bring himself to look away.
“As we travel on, love’s what we’ll remember.”
Something that Anton was sure of, once seeing Y/N in her true element, was that Y/N L/N wasn’t just a born performer.
She was born to be a star.
He couldn’t help but wonder, maybe one day he could have that same level of confidence that Y/N had.
The way she carried herself with such grace and assertiveness attracted him. Anton was the complete opposite. He was shy, lanky, and often slouched down on himself.
But Y/N wasn’t like that. She knew her worth, and didn’t back down from anything.
Anton continued to listen to Y/N sing her song, with stars in his eyes and his mouth left slightly agape.
He wasn’t sure of the feeling that he felt in his heart, but he did know one thing.
Anton wanted to be apart of Y/N’s life. He wanted to hear her angelic voice, and see her beautiful face everyday. He wanted to be apart of her world because he found it quite wonderful.
A girl shunned by the entire school, often discredited and regarded as undesirable, who was made to be apart of something more.
Anton wanted to know more about her.
“Great job, Y/N! I didn’t want to interrupt so I waited outside the room.” Mr. Jeon had walked into the room from the door on the opposite end of where Anton was. “You sound amazing, as always. I definitely chose right when I chose to give you the solo.”
Anton could see Y/N get smirk at the compliment. “I knew you would come to your senses. This song is perfect for my voice, after all.”
To most, she would come off as cocky and unbearable. And to most she was.
But for Anton, he saw it in a different way. Most people were just too insecure about themselves to be able to admit when they’re good at something. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. However, Y/N knew that she was talented enough to become something. There was nothing wrong in vocalizing that.
And Anton admired that aspect of Y/N.
“The others should be coming soon. I assume they’re all getting a quick snack since I moved the rehearsal time.”
So that’s why Y/N was practicing alone. Anton wondered why no one was there despite it being well past 3:30.
That face made Anton more attracted to her. Y/N already knew she was good enough to get any part, yet she still took time to herself to practice. And she practiced well.
A burning desire filled Anton’s heart as he pushed open the door.
“Oh, Anton! You’re a bit early. I for-“
“I want to join Glee.” Anton rushed his words, before he could chicken out. And suddenly, he turned his head and made eye contact with Y/N. He could feel all his confidence drain in that moment, as she kept her stare on him as if she were judging him. Anton forgot his tendency to be shy. “I-If the offer is still standing, I mean.”
Mr. Jeon clapped his hands once. “That’s great news! What made you change your mind?”
Anton kept his eyes on Y/N, who was also waiting for his answer.
There were multiple reasons he could think of, but one reason stood out amongst the others.
“I saw an angel.” Was all Anton could admit.
He sounded crazy, and neither Y/N nor Mr. Jeon could figure out what he was talking about, but that didn’t matter. Both were just glad there would be another guy in Glee.
“Well, we need another male lead for one of our performances so you and Y/N can lead ‘No Air’ together.” Mr. Jeon instructed. “Does that work for you?”
Y/N slowly made her way to Anton, and he felt the air in his lungs phase out.
“I don’t know, will you be able to keep up with me? I’m kind of difficult.” She challenged.
Anton mustered up what little confidence he had left in his body, and leaned in closer to Y/N.
“I like difficult.”
Anton was falling behind in the love department, and he needed to catch up. Maybe the latte design from the day before was a sign that he would fall in love. It had seemed to coincidental to not be true.
After crossing Y/N’s path in such a way, he knew that he would have to pursue her as much as he could. He had never fallen for someone so strongly before. But he knew that Y/N was the one he had been waiting for.
In a way, they were sort of one in the same. Both seemingly too undesirable to get into relationships. That idea comforted him.
Anton was falling behind, but for Y/N he would put all of his effort to catch up. Even if it meant disregarding his social status or mockery from his friends.
Y/N was worth the effort.

Closed Doors (Part 2)
Soonyoung had made peace with his station in life. A younger son of a little-known family, he was not set to inherit a fortune and had nothing to recommend him but his bright personality. Nobody expected Soonyoung to make the match of the season. But when you- a woman with ties to the royal family and riches beyond his imagination, a Duchess in your own right- seeks Soonyoung's hand in marriage, his life begins to spiral entirely out of his control.
Genre: Hoshi x female!reader. Regency!AU. Your title is the Duchess of Graham but your first name is not mentioned.
Warnings: Wedding night so mentions of sex but nothing explicit is described, it fades to black. Not even remotely historically accurate. Much like Bridgerton, this is all about the aesthetic.

"I've known the Duchess for most of my life," Viscount Hong explained as the carriage rattled along the cobblestone streets. "Our late fathers were close friends. My sister and I spent a few summers at the Graham's duchy in our childhood; although my sister was probably too young to remember much of that."
Soonyoung tried to focus on the Viscount's words, but it was difficult to hear them over the sound of his own pounding heartbeat. The two gentlemen were on their way to your manor now. Soonyoung had asked to speak with you himself, though as the manor looked closer, he was beginning to regret his decision.
What was he going to say to you? What did one even say to a Duchess who had proposed marriage after a single conversation? Thank you?
Soonyoung cleared his throat and tried to focus on the conversation. He needed to understand as much as he could from the Viscount before he faced you.
"Did you never think of marrying her yourself?" Soonyoung asked.
Viscount Hong looked surprised. "Oh- erm… not with any real seriousness. I will admit our late fathers may have preferred it. The Duchess is a good person, but I am not sure we were ever compatible in that way."
"So you were not compatible with her," Soonyoung replied in mild disbelief as he looked at the handsome, rich and otherwise impeccable Viscount in front of him, "but somehow you think I am compatible with the Duchess? Me? The second son of the Kwon family who doesn't have a single useful talent or penny to his name, me?"
The Viscount Hong sighed.
"Soonyoung, think about this rationally. The Duchess is a young woman who has no surviving family and has been burdened with a title, fortune, and dukedom that nobody in the ton thinks she should have. She did not even have a chance to properly mourn her father; the moment he died, there were petitions submitted to the Queen by noblemen protesting her title and seeking to take her lands from her. She is fighting a battle against some of the most powerful men in the country, all alone. What do you think she wants in a husband?"
Soonyoung stared at the Viscount blankly.
"I haven't the slightest idea," he admitted.
The Viscount pressed his fingers to his temples. "She wants someone she can trust, Soonyoung. She came to me for help. I will not lie to you. I did introduce her to other eligible gentlemen. For some reason, she turned them all down. The Duchess only expressed an interest in you."
Soonyoung felt nauseous. "But we only talked about cakes."
"What?"
"At the ball. During our dance. I was nervous and she asked me why her ball exceeded the usual London ones, so I told her she had a better selection of cakes. That is all we talked about during the dance, Viscount Hong. Cakes," Soonyoung admitted worriedly. "I just can't understand why she would…"
The Viscount smiled.
"You had better ask her yourself, then. We have arrived."
—----------------------------------------------
The Duchess' manor was as intimidating and magnificent as Soonyoung remembered it. He still felt unworthy to walk these grand halls. He followed Viscount Hong anxiously as a servant led the two gentlemen towards one of the many drawing rooms that Soonyoung had never set foot in before.
"Viscount Hong and Mr. Kwon are here, Your Grace," the servant announced their arrival.
You were seated near the window, but rose gracefully to greet the gentlemen. Soonyoung was struck once again by your beauty. In the absence of the sparkling lights of the ball and the heavy jewellery, even in the simple pale morning sunlight, you were still the most beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes on.
"Thank you for coming," you said to them both in your soft, lilting voice. Your smile- the beautiful one that Soonyoung noticed still did not quite reach your sad eyes- made him almost forget to greet you with the proper decorum.
"Your Grace," he choked out quickly, bowing his head.
The Viscount glanced between the two of you with an amused smile. "Well, far be it from me to intrude upon your conversation any longer than necessary. I have brought a book that I am quite keen to read. I will employ myself accordingly. I only ask that if your conversation takes too long, I might be served some tea."
"I have sent for some tea already," you promised the Viscount, who retreated to the far corner of the room. He made a show of seating himself as far away as possible, facing in the opposite direction from you both and burying his head in his book.
You turned to Soonyoung.
"Mr. Kwon; please, have a seat."
Soonyoung walked with shaky legs towards the small table near the window. There were two ornate chairs on either side-  he sat across from you and took a deep breath. His hands felt clammy.
"Thank you for coming," you repeated to him softly. Your hands were folded politely on your lap. "I must apologise for not approaching you directly on this matter, Mr. Kwon. Considering how brief our acquaintance has been, I thought that if you were not inclined to matrimony or wished to reject my proposition,  you may  have been more comfortable expressing your response to Viscount Hong. I am very glad you asked to meet me.”
Soonyoung stared up at you with wide eyes.
“That is… very considerate of you, Your Grace,” he said politely. The mere thought of hearing your proposal directly from you instead of from Viscount Hong made his palms sweat. Soonyong was certain that his current position was far preferable.
You smiled at him gently. “You must be… surprised.”
“I will not pretend that I anticipated any of this.”
“Allow me to explain,” you began carefully. “I am sure the Viscount has given you an indication of my situation. I lost my father- the late Duke, a few months ago and have inherited his title. I have no surviving family and the reception from the ton and other titled noblemen to inheritance of the lands and title has not been… entirely positive,” you explained. Soonyoung watched you, captivated. You spoke calmly, and a faint strain in your voice towards the end of your sentence was the only indication of any loss of composure.
Soonyoung cleared his throat. “I-I am sorry to hear that.”
“Thank you,” you replied simply. “While I am relieved that my family’s legacy is not lost, I must admit that the role of a Duchess is not one which was designed to be played by a lady alone, particularly not an unmarried one. In addition to the friction from the other noblemen, my position makes it difficult for me to do justice to my duchy. It is also important that I secure the future lineage of my family so that my father’s efforts are not in vain. I am explaining these things to you, Mr. Kwon, so that you are better able to understand my reasons for needing to marry soon.”
Soonyoung nodded. “Yes-yes, of course, Your Grace, I understand.”
A servant entered the room with some tea and biscuits. You paused and waited for her to pour you each a cup, and directed the servant to send one over to Viscount Hong in the corner of the room. Then you turned back to Soonyoung and watched him put two sugars in his cup.
“I see you have a sweet tooth,” you remarked with a small smile.
Soonyoung’s ears turned pink and he froze halfway through stirring his tea. “I-I, erm. Yes, yes, I am partial to a little more sugar than most,” he admitted self-consciously. “I apologise. I should perhaps try not to consume so much of it…”
Your expression was gentle as you looked up at him. “I do not think a habit of excessively sweetening one’s tea is the worst vice a gentleman can have, Mr. Kwon. Viscount Hong speaks very highly of you.”
Soonyoung’s ears reddened further and he coughed. “I-I did not realise you spoke to Viscount Hong about me, Your Grace.”
Your eyes dropped down to your tea and Soonyoung saw a flash of that familiar sadness in them for a moment before you spoke. “I have been finding it… difficult to trust people of late. Some of my father’s closest allies signed a petition to have my title revoked. Others have made underhanded attempts to orchestrate a match with their sons and usurp my duchy. Viscount Hong is the only nobleman I can still trust. That is why I sought his aid to find a suitable husband. I considered his judgement to be more impartial and reliable than anyone else I knew.”
Soonyoung nodded in understanding. It was becoming increasingly clear to him now- this was a very delicate situation that extended beyond frivolous gossip and societal opinions. This was about politics and land and power. The Viscount had been doing you a favour by being vague  at the ball a few nights ago. It would not be appropriate for the entire ton to know that the Duchess of Graham had turned down most of the offers made to her by noblemen and was seeking a husband elsewhere.
Soonyoung bit your lip. “I am sorry that you are in this position, Your Grace,” he said carefully. “But I must commend you for placing your faith in Viscount Hong. I doubt I could name anyone with more integrity or honesty than the Viscount.”
You bit back a smile. “I am glad you think so. Because the Viscount led me to you.”
Soonyoung cleared his throat. “Yes. Yes, he led me to you. I…”
You set your tea down and took a deep breath before lifting your eyes to meet Soonyoung. He was stunned into silence by the power of their gaze. There was a deep, deep sadness in your eyes but he also saw strength and gentleness.
“I apologise for putting you in this situation,” you told him honestly. There was a hint of regret in your soft words. “This is hardly the most romantic way in which to propose marriage and I am sure it cannot be flattering to you to be put in this position. I assure you, Mr. Kwon, I will not blame you if you cannot find it in yourself to enter into this… marriage of convenience.”
There was a long silence.
It only occurred to Soonyoung much later that there were other things he should have carefully considered about the match- the possibility of gaining a fortune, a title, and lands, of going from a penniless second son to a Duke in one move. There were so many reasons to accept your proposal. None of the other gentlemen of the ton (least of all Mr, Kim and Mr. Lee) would believe Soonyoung when he said that none of those things had been on his mind at that moment.
Instead, he had only one thought on his mind.
You needed help. And while Soonyoung could not pretend that he fully understood you (there was still so much hidden behind that beautiful smile and deep eyes of yours), there was one thing that he was fairly confident about.
He wanted to be the one to help you.
“It would be an honour, Your Grace,” Soonyoung said slowly and carefully, “to be your husband.”
-----------------------------------------------------------
Soonyoung felt like he was in a dream as he exited your manor that afternoon with Viscount Hong. His mind and body seemed to be  floating in the clouds, and it was difficult to concentrate on what the Viscount was saying to him.
“... cannot tell anybody about the engagement, yet, you understand, not until the Queen has granted her approval for the marriage. Perhaps in two days the announcement can be made in the papers. I assume the Duchess will handle making an appointment with the Queen, but-”
Soonyoung was suddenly and violently jerked out of his reverie.
“Sorry- did you just say the Queen?” he demanded.
Viscount Hong gestured for the carriage driver to begin and then turned back to his companion. “Yes, the Queen. The Duchess is one of the Queen’s ladies-in-waiting. She is part of her court. Naturally you will both need to approach the Queen for her blessing before you can announce the engagement publicly. You risk offending Her Majesty if you do not approach her before a public announcement.”
Soonyoung swallowed. He suddenly felt faint. “Yes, but surely the Duchess will handle that…”
“The Queen will naturally want to see you in order to grant you her blessing to the couple.”
“O-oh.”
Viscount Hong bit his lip as he looked at the startled young man sitting across from him in the carriage. He took a deep breath and sighed. “Soonyoung.”
“Yes?”
“Have you fully thought about this? Really thought about it? Being a Duke is not easy and there is an incredible amount of responsibility involved. The Duchess is entangled in the middle of a political tussle and I am sorry to say that she is on the weaker side. She needs someone who can be strong and support her through this ordeal. I know you are capable of doing so, I would not have recommended you otherwise. But I need you to step up to the task. The Duchess needs you to step up to the task.”
Soonyoung looked up at the Viscount sharply. There was a newfound determination in his eyes.
“I will do whatever is necessary,” he said firmly.
The Viscount relaxed. “Good. I will let you know once an appointment has been made to meet the Queen.”
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Lee Seokmin was quite drunk.
“I cannot go to the navy alone!” he cried, his glass of whisky sloshing all over the expensive carpet. Fortunately for Seokmin, Mingyu was far too entertained by the scene before him to be concerned by the damage Seokmin was doing to his drawing room rug. “We were supposed to go together! We were going to capture pirates together, Soonyoung!”
Mr. Lee Jihoon raised an eyebrow at his younger brother. “It is quite unlikely that you would both have been stationed on the same ship.”
Seokmin paused. “We could have met at the naval base.”
“Yes, because the royal naval base is simply full of pirates ripe for your picking.”
Soonyoung was currently on his fourth glass of whisky and Kim Mingyu’s drawing room was beginning to appear hazy to his intoxicated gaze. The gentleman’s club was the preferred haunt for the group of bachelors gathered, but it was too public for the present celebration. Since the announcement would not be made in the papers for a few days, it was important to keep the news of Soonyoung’s engagement under wraps. They had gathered in Mingyu’s drawing room instead.
Jihoon, the most sober gentleman in the room by far, leaned closer to Soonyoung.
“Seokmin is merely inebriated,” Jihoon told him gently, misreading the worried expression on his friend’s face. “I hope you do not blame yourself for destroying his dreams of capturing pirates- my sister and I would never have consented to him joining the Navy in any case.”
Soonyoung blinked. “Oh.”
“Congratulations on your engagement, Soonyoung.”
“Thank you.”
Someone passed Soonyoung a cigar and he lifted it to his lips, taking a deep drag before leaning his head back against the armchair. He did not smoke often- he did not even drink often but the consequences and ramifications of the decision he had made earlier today were rapidly descending upon him. In order to distract himself from the sinking thought that he had perhaps made a rash decision that would impact the rest of his life and your life, he allowed Jihoon to refill his glass.
“I would like to raise a toast,” Mingyu announced loudly, rising to his feet and lifting his glass. “To Kwon Soonyoung, the man who refused to chase the dowry so the dowry came chasing him!”
Everyone chuckled. Soonyoung clumsily tossed back the whisky. He was beginning to feel nauseous.
“For heaven's sake, that painting is an eyesore,” Jihoon complained loudly as he gestured to one of the obnoxiously large paintings of a tastefully nude woman that Mingyu had displayed above the fireplace. “Is there nowhere else to hang that? What do you do when there are ladies present?”
Mingyu chuckled. “Do not fret, Mr. Lee, I will be shifting that painting to my art gallery once it is opened. As for the ladies, I entertain them in the breakfast parlour. It has paintings of kittens.”
Jihoon was still unimpressed. “I pity the women you court.”
“May I remind you that you are the one who cannot seem to stop staring at the painting?”
“You little-”
“I need some fresh air,” Soonyoung announced. He was barely audible over the sound of Mingyu and Jihoon debating the inappropriateness of nude paintings in a drawing room. Setting his glass down and finding his unsteady legs, Soonyoung walked towards one of the large balconies and stepped out into the night air. The cool summer breeze swept through his hair. He leaned against the railing for a few minutes- eyes closed, and thinking about the whirlwind of events that had led to him being engaged to a Duchess in a few days.
“Soonyoung?”
Seokmin had followed him onto the balcony. The younger Lee rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly as he joined Soonyoung near the balcony railing.
“Seokmin.”
“Jihoon thought I might be upsetting you by going on about the Navy. You know that I don’t actually resent you for backing out? I was merely joking. You’re about to be married, I couldn’t be happier for you,” Seokmin said honestly. He had a smile on his face. “You’re about to become a Duke.”
Soonyoung swallowed. “A Duke. Yes.”
“Why do you look worried?”
“Because I am worried,” Soonyoung confessed. His knuckles were white as he clasped the railing of the balcony and the words spilled out of his mouth rapidly. “The Viscount is right. I don’t have the faintest idea what the responsibilities of a Duke are. Having a title like that and a duchy is no joke, it is about politics; something I have no knowledge of. It is not merely my own life on the line. Everything I say and do will impact the Duchess. She is… she is not merely asking to marry me, she is trusting me with her property and family legacy and reputation. I-I don’t know if I am capable of this.”
Seokmin stared at his friend for a long moment.
“Soonyoung. You underestimate yourself.”
Soonyoung bit his lip, hard. “Do I?”
“Do you know what any other young man in your position would do?” Seokmin asked knowingly. “He would celebrate that some woman had handed him a fortune and a title on a golden platter. The fact that you are seriously considering the responsibilities involved with the dukedom proves that the Duchess was not wrong to choose you.”
“I don’t know why she chose me,” Soonyoung admitted with a sigh.
“Did you not ask her?”
“I should have asked, perhaps- it just… I did not get the opportunity and she called it a marriage of convenience, so clearly the answer cannot have been anything very flattering,” Soonyoung mumbled. He took a deep breath and looked up at the moonlight sky. “I wish I could celebrate with you, but all I can think of is how I am suddenly deeply terrified of disappointing the young lady that has misplaced her trust in me.”
“Soonyoung,” Seokmin said firmly. He placed a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “You are overthinking this.”
“Do you really think so?”
“You were prepared to go out into the open sea and fight pirates and enemy ships. I never once saw you show fear at the thought of joining the Navy. Why do you suddenly think you will not be able to handle the simple task of being a good husband?”
Soonyoung sighed. “I trained to be a sailor. I attended the Royal Naval Academy for years. Nobody has ever prepared me to be a Duke, Seokmin.”
“Then start preparing now. It is not too late.”
Soonyoung took a deep breath. Yes, Seokmin was right, He did not need to blindly blunder into this situation. He could prepare. He would prepare and would  prove to you that you had not made a mistake by choosing him.
Kwon Soonyoung would learn to become a Duke.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Soonyoung fidgeted in his brand new coat as he waited for your carriage to arrive. The coat was not uncomfortable in the least. On the contrary, it was perfectly tailored to fit Soonyoung, as opposed to the hastily mended hand-me-downs from his brother that he often wore. The Viscountess Hong was an angel; upon hearing of Soonyoung's engagement, she had promptly sent for a tailor to customise a new suit for Soonyoung to wear to his meeting with the Queen.
His meeting with the Queen.
A phrase that Soonyoung had never imagined he would say with any seriousness, and yet here he was. Standing near the entrance of the royal palace and waiting for the Duchess of Graham to meet him for a private audience with the Queen.
Your carriage approached and Soonyoung took a deep breath as he hurried forward. The footman was mildly surprised when Soonyoung stepped up to the carriage door himself and offered you a hand to help you descend.
You gave him one of your soft smiles and accepted his hand.
“Thank you, Mr. Kwon,” you told him. Your deep eyes glanced at him in an almost approving manner. “Is that a new suit? You look very handsome.”
Soonyoung could not prevent his ears from turning red at the compliment and he struggled with what to say in return. You looked radiant in a beautiful green dress that emphasised your glowing skin, and he opened his mouth to return the compliment… but nothing seemed sufficient to encapsulate how beautiful he thought you were. He waited too long; the moment passed.
“The Queen was pleased to grant us an audience even at such short notice,” you informed Soonyoung in a hushed tone as you both entered the royal palace and followed a pair of servants to the audience chambers. Soonyoung tried to focus on your words and not on the gentle pressure of your hand resting near the crook of his elbow. “I am sure she will be perfectly pleased to grant us her permission to marry, but I must warn you- Her Majesty is under the impression that this is a love match.”
Soonyoung cleared his throat nervously. “A love match?”
You blinked  up at him apologetically. “I have already rejected offers from the sons of a few other Dukes that attempted to have my title revoked. The politics here are complicated; I found the easiest way to justify marrying someone outside of the commonly expected options, was to tell the Queen I was in love.”
“I see,” Soonyoung swallowed. “In love-yes, yes, I suppose we may say that.”
You seemed worried. “I apologise if this is sudden-”
“Not at all, Your Grace,” Soonyoung told you firmly. He took a deep breath and straightened his shoulders. This was his first test and he was not about to let himself be thrown by a small change in circumstances. He could handle this. He would not disappoint you. “It is not an issue at all. I will be sure to confirm the Queen’s understanding that this is a love match.”
You seemed relieved. “Thank you, Mr. Kwon.”
You both arrived at the audience chambers and waited in the hallway for a few moments until the Queen was ready to see you. Soonyoung’s heart was beating at an unnatural rate and he resisted the urge to fidget with his sleeves and cough. Your gloved hand resting lightly near his elbow somehow worked to keep him grounded. He focused on your gentle touch and kept his composure as the doors to the audience chamber opened and a guard came out.
“Her Highness has granted you an audience. Please enter.”
The Queen was seated at the head of the room. Soonyoung did not dare lift his head to look her in the eye. He did not even dare to look properly around the audience chamber for fear that the grandness and magnificence of the royal palace would cause him to lose composure. He simply allowed your gentle hand to guide him where he needed to go and followed you into a deep bow before the Queen.
“Ah, the Duchess of Graham,” the Queen greeted you loftily. “I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when you requested an audience, The word among the ton is that you have rejected so many eligible suitors that I had quite despaired of your ever marrying. I am relieved to see that is not the case.”
You responded quickly- your voice was soft and deferential. “Your Majesty. You have bestowed my family with the most precious gift of all by allowing my lineage to continue to hold the dukedom. We are forever indebted to you for your kindness and naturally, the decision of who should be the next Duke of Graham was not one that I could take lightly.”
This seemed to please the Queen.
“And you have finally made your choice? Mr. Kwon, I hear?”
Soonyoung bowed his head. "Yes, your Majesty."
The Queen observed him slowly and critically. "You are a handsome young man; I can certainly see why the Duchess prefers you. But the question remains- can you be a Duke?"
Soonyoung swallowed. "I will do my best, your Majesty."
The Queen huffed. "I suppose that is all one can ask for, really- my dear Duchess, have you quite set your heart on this man?"
You bowed. "Yes, Your Majesty."
"Then far be it from me to stand in the way of your love. You have my blessing. You may marry- and Mr. Kwon may be granted the title of a Duke," the Queen said dismissively.
"Thank you, Your Majesty-"
"Yes, yes. Be on your way and prepare for your wedding. And my dear Duchess- now that you shall have a husband to handle the matters of your estate, I expect you to attend to the royal court far more often. You will need to join me and the other court ladies for tea at least once a fortnight."
"Of course, Your Majesty."
Your grasp on Soonyoung's arm relaxed noticeably and Soonyoung was relieved when you began to leave the room and he could follow you. The moment you both left the audience chambers, he released the breath he had been holding and looked up at you with a sheepish smile.
"That was… not as difficult as I expected," he admitted with a grin.
You smiled back at him softly. "Did you think it was going to be difficult? I did tell you that Her Majesty would be pleased to grant her permission."
Soonyoung flushed. "Yes, but- I mean… I have never met the Queen, so…"
"Of course. I can understand. I thought, perhaps we should discuss, before we part… when we might have the wedding?" you began. There was a sudden shyness in your gaze that Soonyoung was surprised to note.
He blinked. "Whenever you see fit, Your Grace."
"Our engagement will be announced in the papers tomorrow," you told him as you both walked back to your carriage. "Since we have the Queen's permission to marry, I do not believe a lengthy betrothal is necessary. Unless you had any objection- perhaps next Monday?"
Soonyoung froze in his path. "For the wedding?"
You noticed his hesitancy. "Was there any reason you wished to wait longer?"
Soonyoung opened his mouth to speak. It was all happening so quickly. He almost wanted more time to prepare, to comprehend the life he was getting into. But he saw the anxiety in your eyes. You wanted to be married soon and he could understand- the pressures you were facing were not light.
It was not the time for Soonyoung to be selfish.
"No. No, next Monday is perfect, Your Grace," Soonyoung said quickly. Your carriage was waiting outside the palace and your footman rushed to open the door for you.
"Then I will have the arrangements made," you told him gently.
"E-excellent."
Soonyoung held out his hand to help you into the carriage but he was interrupted by your butler, who suddenly approached with an armful of books. "Mr. Kwon!" the butler greeted him politely. "I had these brought over from the Graham library, as per your request. Was this what you were looking for?"
You paused and frowned at the books. "What are these?"
Soonyoung's ears turned pink. He had expected the butler to give them to him privately- not in front of you. He took the books and smiled at you awkwardly.
"I-I realised that I knew very little about the Graham duchy so I asked your butler if he could find some books that would teach me about your family lineage and the history of your lands," Soonyoung admitted shyly. He noticed the shock in your deep eyes which slowly melted into something much, much softer and affectionate as your eyes dropped to the heavy genealogy book at the top of the pile.
"Mr. Kwon…" you said softly. "You really don't need to do that."
Soonyoung cleared his throat. "I would like to."
You stared at him for a long moment. Soonyoung felt almost exposed under your lingering gaze. He could not read what was behind your piercing eyes and he was about to apologise for overstepping when you finally spoke again, a small but noticeable crack in your voice.
“Thank you,” you said quietly. “We will see each other soon, Mr. Kwon.”
“Of course. Goodbye, Your Grace.”
—---------------------------------------------------------
The week before the wedding went by in a flash. The announcement of the Duchess of Graham's engagement in the papers had predictably thrown the entire ton into an uproar. Kwon Soonyoung went from being an obscure, little-known gentleman to the name on everyone's lips in the span of a single morning.
He was overwhelmed with invitations; to tea at the Baron's house, to dine with the Carter family and many more. It seemed that every single noble family suddenly wished to make Soonyoung's acquaintance and pretend that they had been very familiar with him all along. Soonyoung honestly thought that he may have gone mad if it had not been for Seokmin and Mingyu by his side.
"This happened to my family as soon as my sister's engagement to the Viscount was published in the papers," Seokmin said as he rifled through the invitations. "The entire month was spent having dinner with different families."
Soonyoung's head was buried in a weighty tome about the genealogy of the Graham dukedom and he looked up with a sigh. "I barely have time with wedding preparations to attend half of these invitations. Not to mention the reading I hoped to do. What should I do?"
Mingyu, sitting in the corner of the room with a pipe in his mouth, chuckled. "Ignore them."
Soonyoung frowned. "What if some of them are from important families of the ton, they may take offence-"
Mingyu laughed as he took the stack of invitations from Seokmin's hands and smoothly tore them in half. "Important families? Oh my poor dear Soonyoung. I am not sure you understand what is happening to you. You are about to be a Duke. You are now the important family that everyone fears offending. You don’t need to worry about them!"
Soonyoung blinked. "Was it necessary to tear them?"
"I would tear that book in your hands as well, if I thought I could manage it. What are you doing, Mr. Kwon? These are your last few days as a bachelor- are you really going to spend them reading? Something you never even did in your short time at Oxford?"
Soonyoung bit his lip. "This book is rather dry."
"That's the spirit-"
"Do you have any books on agriculture I might borrow? The duchy consists largely of agricultural land and I was hoping to understand more about how the agrarian community pays its taxes."
Mingyu looked aghast.
"None of that. Stop that immediately and come have a drink."
While it was difficult to get the notorious rake to discuss anything seriously, Soonyoung did manage to extract some advice from Mingyu on managing an estate once he was sufficiently drunk, and Seokmin was a welcome presence that served to keep Soonyoung's spirits high.
The day of the wedding finally arrived. It was a smaller celebration than customary for a Duke's wedding and there were many members of the ton that openly lamented not receiving an invitation. Despite the short guest list, Soonyoung was still anxious as he stood up at the altar and stared at the sea of people watching from the pews.
"I still don't understand how you seduced the Duchess," Soonyoung's elder brother grumbled from behind him as he adjusted his cuffs. It had taken no small effort to keep the elder Kwon sober and presentable for the wedding; Soonyoung would forever owe Jihoon a debt of gratitude for undertaking that unpleasant responsibility and executing it without complaint.
But he did not have the opportunity to respond to his brother. You suddenly appeared at the end of the aisle and Soonyoung felt as though the entire room had fallen away and you were the only person standing before him.
You looked exquisite, in a simple white dress and with a gentle smile on your face. Soonyoung watched, almost in a trance, as you walked gracefully down the aisle in a slow, practised gait. You looked divine and Soonyoung was suddenly reminded of how in over his head he felt, how he was marrying a woman so far, far above his station that this had to be some sort of a dream or joke, it could not possibly be real that you were about to become his wife.
You reached the altar and looked up at him quietly through your eyelashes with a small smile.
Soonyoung's heart pounded as you both turned to face the minister. The man read out some pre-written drivel about holy matrimony and Soonyoung tried to concentrate but all he could focus on was the sound of your soft breathing beside him and his own pounding heartbeat. He barely remembered saying his own vows.
"Mr. Kwon," you said softly. "The ring."
Your voice snapped Soonyoung out of his reverie. Somebody was presenting him with a ring and he swallowed nervously before reaching for it. It was a delicate little thing; Soonyoung fumbled with the ring for a moment, but to his relief it did not fall from his grasp. He reached for your hand- your soft, gentle hand- and placed the ring on your finger.
It was done.
You were married.
The rest of the morning felt like a blur. Soonyoung received congratulations from dozens of people he had never met in his entire life. He found himself thrown from conversation to conversation like a child's ball until finally your hand on his elbow tightened and you whispered softly in his ear.
"Our carriage is waiting outside," you said. "We can leave."
"Yes, let's."
It was a number of goodbyes before Soonyoung could finally reach the carriage and help you inside. Soonyoung climbed in as well and once the door was closed behind him, he took a deep breath and looked across the carriage at you.
"I think that went rather well, Your Grace," he said to you lightly.
You smiled back at him. "I thought having fewer guests would make the ceremony quicker but I am afraid we were still detained much longer than expected. Would you object if we went directly to the estate for the night? It is not very far- a few hours' ride."
Soonyoung nodded. "Of course."
—----------------------------------------------------------
You fell asleep during the carriage ride to the Graham estate. Soonyoung was torn between watching the magnificent views of the countryside and the sight of your head drowsily leaning against the carriage wall as you tried to fight sleep. Soonyoung couldn't help but smile at the sight of your eyelashes repeatedly fluttering closed and then fluttering back open in protest.
It appeared even the Duchess of Graham got sleepy during carriage rides.
It was late evening when you both arrived at the Graham estate and although Soonyoung was now much more prepared than before, he was still struck with awe at the sheer size and grandeur of the estate. There were vast gardens at the entrance and the manor itself loomed over the carriage. He could hear the sound of a creek nearby.
"Welcome to the Graham manor, Your Grace," you told him.
Soonyoung descended the carriage slowly, taking it all in. Was this to be his home? Was he really going to live here? Did all this really belong to him now?
"I am afraid we don't have enough time for a tour of the estate this evening," you told him as the servants hurried to open the front doors for you. "I sent word ahead to have supper ready. Perhaps tomorrow, I can show you around the manor and the gardens?"
Soonyoung swallowed and nodded silently.
"Shall we dine?"
"Y-yes."
The dining room was magnificent and there was a lavish spread for supper. Soonyoung decided that he was too far gone to exhibit any shame; he had not eaten all day due to the anxiety from the wedding, and was in no position to refuse the delicacies served at the table. Even the knowledge that you were watching him eat quietly with a small smile on your face did not deter him from filling his cheeks with food.
"Mr. Jones, will you show the Duke upstairs?" you asked once supper had been cleared away. Soonyoung was surprised when one of the butlers quickly ushered him upstairs through various lengthy hallways and foyers to an enormous bedchamber before he could ask any further questions.
A warm bath had been prepared for him in an adjoining bathroom and Soonyoung was surprised to see that all his belongings had already been brought and neatly unpacked in the bedchamber. He undressed and relaxed in the bath for a few moments before the fog from the excellent supper cleared from his mind and he remembered.
This was his wedding night.
You would have to consummate the marriage.
Soonyoung jerked upright and the water sloshed out of the side of his bath. He finished the bath quickly and dressed in a fresh night-suit that had been placed on the bed for him. Then he paced the room and regretted not asking someone about this sooner.
How did this work? Would you come to him? Did he go to you- but no, the manor was enormous and he did not have the slightest idea where you had gone after dinner. He could not wander the hallways searching for your. Should he ask a servant? The sheer mortification from the thought of doing so made Soonyoung shiver.
Would you even want to consummate the marriage? You had said in your own words that this was a marriage of convenience and not a love match. But even marriages of convenience were consummated! You had mentioned carrying on the lineage and to have children it would be necessary to consummate, so surely it would be done?
But perhaps you did not intend to do it tonight. You had fallen asleep in the carriage and you were probably tired from the journey. Perhaps the assumption was that you would consummate at a later time?
There was a soft knock on the door to the bedchamber.
"Come in!" Soonyoung called.
You peeked your head around the door and Soonyoung jumped to his feet. "Your Grace!"he greeted you.
"May I come in?"
"O-of course!"
You entered the bedchamber slowly; you were wearing a soft satin nightgown that revealed your silhouette and Soonyoung felt his blood rush to all the wrong places. Your cheeks were flushed and you were biting your soft lips nervously.
Soonyoung took a deep breath.
Well. It appeared that this would be happening tonight after all.
"I thought- we never got a chance to taste our own wedding cake, so I had them bring a few slices back for us," you explained softly. Soonyoung  noticed that there was a covered tray in your hands. He rushed forward to take it from you, and placed it on the bedside table.
"Our wedding cake?" Soonyoung repeated anxiously.
You nodded and lifted the cover off the tray. There were two small slices of a pink strawberry cake covered in white frosting on the tray, as well as a bottle of wine and a pair of wine glasses. Soonyoung stared at the tray and then looked back at you.
"Oh," he said. "Cake. I see."
"The wine was a gift from Viscountess Hong," you continued to explain. Your voice was growing quieter, and Soonyoung noticed that you looked rather flushed. "She thought it might.. help. I must admit that I already had a glass earlier. But perhaps we could share another one?"
That explained why you looked flushed and the way your deep eyes boldly darted up to his and then turned away shyly. Soonyoung took a deep breath to calm himself and sat on the bed.
"Wine and cake," Soonyoung said with a smile. "Two of my favourite things."
"I thought you would regret missing the wedding cake. It's strawberry- made from fresh berries from the strawberry fields on the estate and the cook says she improved the recipe since the ball," you said. You were speaking more quickly than you normally did and Soonyoung noticed the slight tremble in your hand as you poured out two glasses of wine.
"Have you already tasted the cake as well?"
You shook your head.
Soonyoung was not sure where his sudden burst of confidence came from. He certainly never imagined that he would ever have the strength to make a move on any woman, much less a Duchess. But you were nervous. He could see it in your anxious eyes, in the soft lips that you kept biting, and the way your hands trembled slightly as you grasped your wine glass.
He took a small piece of cake on the spoon and held it out to you.
"Taste it first."
You stared at him for a long moment before leaning forward and taking the bite that he offered. You swallowed it and nodded.
"I think it's rather well made," you said softly.
Soonyoung chuckled- he had no doubt that it was well-made, it even smelled delicious. He took a huge bite out of the cake and delighted in the sweet strawberry taste that exploded in his mouth.
"That," he said firmly, "is the most delicious strawberry cake I have ever tasted."
You giggled. "Soonyoung, the cream is all over your face. Here…"
You leaned closer to him and used a napkin to wipe away the cream that had stuck to the corner of his lips. Soonyoung was suddenly flooded with your scent; the familiar fragrance of lilacs and an intoxicating scent that was you, so uniquely you. His dark eyes darted up and met your heavy, lidded gaze.
You kissed him first.
It was not a surprise- Soonyoung had been leaning forward but your lips found him much sooner than he expected, and he had to grasp the edge of the bed to steady himself. You were clumsy in your movements- perhaps it was the wine- and Soonyoung soon found himself wrapping his arms around you to steady you both in a deep, passionate kiss. Soonyoung's fingers grasped fistfuls of your satin nightgown and pulled you closer to him.
You gasped when his lips met your neck. Soonyoung was gentle but his touch was firm and your warm bodies melted together as you both explored each other with your hands and lips. Your hands grasped fistfuls of Soonyoung's dark hair, and you let out a squeal when Soonyoung grasped your waist tightly and turned so that you were lying underneath him on the bed.
He looked down at you for a moment. Your hair splayed out on the pillow and your lidded eyes looked up at him nervously. He could see the excitement and the anticipation, but also a hint of fear in your eyes.
"Soonyoung…" you whispered his name hesitantly. "I… I've never…."
Soonyoung decided that he would never give you a reason to look at him with fear again. He leaned down and pressed a soft, gentle kiss to your lips and waited until he felt you relax against his lips.
"Tell me if it hurts," he whispered gently, "and we can stop."
You looked up at him and nodded.
"A-allright."

HIII CONGRATS ON 2k!!!
Your writing is amazing and you totally deserve all these followers <3
Could you maybe write a scenario modern scenario where you and Zoro go to the same gym, and eventually he starts to notice you and crush on you a little :0
Tysm<33333
A/N: Modern AU is new for me so I hope I did it justice :)
Characters: gn reader x Zoro Total word count: 750
Gym Routine
Zoro tried to mind his own business in the gym. He threw on his headphones and had his own routine. He never made small talk with people while waiting for a machine, he never bothered anyone and he didn’t want to be bothered. He didn’t really care about the other people who were in the gym with him.
But this was the fifth day he had seen you, and he couldn’t help but notice the two of you had almost the exact same routine. Which led to you both waiting for each other a lot.
He didn’t necessarily care, but you seemed to always watch the person on the machine while you waited. You almost went through the motions with them, as if you were perfecting your form along with them.
Which didn’t make any sense. You had perfect form. He had been watching you out of the corner of his eye.
And you were doing it now, watching the guy on the rowing machine as you waited your turn. Zoro would’ve been intimidated, if he hadn’t found you so amusing.
“You can go,” the man said. He had gotten in line first, but only by a few seconds. And he didn’t want to have you watching him while he did his sets.
“Oh!” you exclaimed, looking back and forth between the green-haired man and the machine. “No, go ahead. You were here first.”
“It’s fine. Go.”
You hesitated for a moment, but decided to take him up on his offer. It was your last set before you got to go home, and you were eager to lay on the couch and finally relax.
You did your reps and quickly jumped back off, gathering your stuff to head to the locker room.
“Do you come on the weekends?” the man asked you.
“Huh?” You turned back to look at him. “Oh, no. I just come in after work. I take a break on the weekends.”
The man nodded. “Me too. Name’s Zoro. See you Monday.”
You gave him a polite smile. “See you Monday.”
He wasn’t sure why his heart was beating so hard. Fridays were his easy days, and yet he felt a little nauseous from his routine.
On Monday, he found himself equally nervous and excited about going to the gym. Once he got there, he was a little less focused on his workout and a little more focused on his surroundings.
“Zoro!” you called, waving to him. “I’ve been thinking about this all weekend. It has been haunting me!” You held your hand out. “I’m Y/N.”
He had also realized over the weekend that he didn’t know your name. Though, he only realized it because he was going to try and find your social media and see what kind of a person you were. Not for any reason in particular. He was just…curious.
He took your hand and gave it a firm shake. “Do you mind spotting me on this?”
You smiled back. “Not at all.”
By the end of the week, the two of you had become gym buddies. You all didn’t talk much, but you had exchanged phone numbers and gym routines so that you could sync up with each other every day and be each other’s spotters when needed.
Zoro shouldered his bag, the two of you getting ready to walk out the door together. “I was thinking-”
You crinkled your nose. “That’s dangerous.”
He rolled his eyes and groaned. “Shut up.”
You snickered at his reaction, but quickly pulled yourself back together. “Okay, okay. You were thinking?”
He gave a hard swallow, trying to muster up his confidence again. “Dinner?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Me and you?”
Zoro shrugged, as if the idea was just now occurring to him. “There’s this nice restaurant, if you want to go.”
You looked down at your attire. You were in baggy shorts and a tank top, and you probably reeked of sweat. “This doesn’t exactly scream nice restaurant.”
“Not right now!” He slapped his hand against his forehead, and you resisted the urge to laugh again. You certainly weren’t making this easy for him.
“Pick me up at seven?” you asked, your eyes lighting up. “I’ll text you my address.”
Zoro finally gave a small smile of relief and nodded. “I look forward to it.”
“Me too.”
You practically danced the whole way home.

Danger in the forest Pt. 1 - Chimeras
~Original story~
Previous
CW: Magic exhaustion, fainting, captured, bound and gagged.
Elafi watched the vines beginning to climb one of the wooden columns of the fence surrounding the orchard. They were thin green threads with a few budding leaves. Elafi observed them closely, as if they were the only thing that existed in the world.
"Grow."
The small vine stretched, winding itself further up the column, clinging tightly to the wood. Elafi kept watching, holding the persistent command in his mind. The vine kept climbing. Its stem thickened, and multiple leaves sprouted. The wood creaked.
Suddenly, Elafi felt his vision blur, and a ringing sound pierced his ears. He didn’t know when he lost his balance, and he would have fallen to the ground if someone hadn’t caught him and helped him sit carefully on the grass.
"Elafi, are you okay?" Fidi’s worried voice reached his dizzy mind. "You look like you’re about to faint, and your nose is bleeding."
Elafi blinked several times, trying to clear the spots from his vision and stop his head from throbbing. Something wet slid over his upper lip. He felt nauseous.
"I'm... f-fine..." he said, but his weak voice betrayed him.
"Come on, I’ll help you inside."
Fidi helped Elafi to his feet and guided him back into the cabin. The deer boy shuffled to the couch, where he let himself collapse. He felt extremely exhausted. A deep fatigue was the main consequence of using his nature powers. It was as if the earth drained his own life or energy to give it to the plants he forced to grow. Or at least, that was the theory he had developed after days of practice, giving different commands—or "requests," as he preferred to call them—to the trees and other plants around him.
"You need to be more careful," the snake girl told him, handing him a napkin to wipe the blood from his nose. "If Warrick were here, he’d scold you for being reckless."
Elafi knew that, and that was why he felt guilty. Even though he knew he had to practice controlling his powers, he sometimes failed to measure the consequences that overexertion had on his health. After all, they were dealing with magic—something that no one except Lupita truly understood.
"I-I'll keep that in mind," he said, leaning back against the couch. He closed his eyes for a while, trying to calm his nausea. When he opened them again after a few minutes, he saw Fidi still sitting next to him on the couch, her brow furrowed and her gaze fixed on the scales on the backs of her hands. She seemed a bit agitated. "Are you okay?"
Fidi flinched, as if she had just been caught doing something illegal.
"Ah, yeah, I’m fine, I was just thinking… For the past few days, I’ve felt like my teeth are itching. It sounds weird, I know, but I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s weird… But let’s talk about something else! Are you hungry? Let’s eat something."
The truth was that Elafi was starting to feel a little hungry—it was almost noon. They ate some tuna pasta and then went for a walk in the forest. Warrick wouldn’t return until later, and they had already finished their assigned chores in the cabin, so they had nothing else to do.
They wandered deep into the trail, heading toward the mountain. However, upon reaching a clearing not far from the camping area, they spotted a campsite. It consisted of a large, closed tent and a portable toilet. A double-cab pickup truck was parked beside it. There was also a pile of firewood and stones stacked in front, as if someone was planning to build a fire soon.
"Do you think they’re birdwatchers?" Elafi asked, stepping closer, driven by curiosity.
"I don’t think it’s a good idea to find out," the girl said, getting a bad feeling, but the deer boy ignored her and continued forward.
Soon, they discovered that the seemingly empty campsite wasn’t entirely unoccupied: on the ground, with its legs tied, was a fawn. The poor creature barely struggled, and a piece of rope around its muzzle prevented it from calling for help. Seeing it, Elafi couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow in his heart, seeing himself reflected in the terrified, large black eyes of the fawn.
"We have to help it!" Elafi exclaimed, trying to untie the nylon ropes immobilizing the small animal.
Fidi simply stood there, watching the scene. Her body language visibly revealed her anxiety.
"Let’s get out of here," she insisted. "What if whoever captured that deer finds us?"
"I don’t want to leave it here alone," Elafi replied. He stood up, took one of the firepit stones—the sharpest one he could find—and used it to cut the rope.
The fawn thrashed, even more frightened. Its chest heaved frantically.
"Easy, we’re here to help, we won’t hurt you," Elafi said, his voice as sweet and calm as he could make it. His words had an immediate effect, as the fawn soon settled, allowing the boy to cut the rope and free it. "There! You can go back to your family now."
The fawn stood on its thin legs—identical to Elafi’s. They observed each other for a moment, communicating solely through their gaze. Then, the fawn took off, leaping into the dense forest until it disappeared.
"Let’s go already," Fidi said, more desperate now. The two chimera children turned to leave, but they hadn’t even taken a step when the tent suddenly opened and two men emerged.
"Look what we have here," said the shorter one with a half-smile. "Looks like we lost our prey but found two new ones."
Elafi felt his stomach knot. They were hunters.
"We don’t want any trouble," Fidi said, stepping in front of the deer boy and slowly backing away.
"Hey, I know you," the taller hunter said, pointing at Elafi. "I saw you in a picture. So you’re the reason old Cazador is dead, huh?"
Hearing that name again made Elafi’s legs tremble, and the memories of that event made his breathing quicken. They were Cazador’s friends—they had to be just as crazy and cruel as him. He felt Fidi squeeze his hand, trying to help him stay calm.
"So there were more beasts like you in this forest after all," one of the men continued. "And who’s this, your girlfriend?"
"Leave us alone," Fidi said, her voice firm and dripping with venom as she flicked out her forked tongue between her fangs.
"Why don’t you just come with us willingly before we have to do this the hard way?" the taller hunter said. He had a rifle slung over his back, which he then brought into his hands.
Elafi’s heart pounded hard against his chest. That’s when he decided to drop to his knees and place both hands on the ground. The earth began to tremble.
"What the hell?!" one of the hunters shouted, looking around.
Suddenly, roots emerged from the ground like snakes, wrapping around the men’s legs, climbing up their torsos, and immobilizing them.
"What kind of witchcraft is this?!"
"What’s happening?!"
Elafi took advantage of the distraction, leaping to his feet and shouting for Fidi to run. The two chimera children bolted into the forest. Behind them, they heard gunshots, but neither dared to look back, too terrified for their lives.
After a few minutes, as the initial adrenaline wore off, Elafi felt his energy drain from using his powers so suddenly. His legs gave out, and he collapsed to the ground, gasping. Fidi was already several meters ahead, disappearing among the trees. Elafi tried to keep moving, stretching his arms and crawling forward. A trickle of blood dripped from his nose. His headache was unbearable, pounding as if someone were hammering his skull.
Then, the sound of snapping branches and heavy footsteps reached his ears. Two tall figures stopped in front of him.
"Tired of running, little deer?"
Elafi barely had the strength to lift his head and observe the faces of his soon-to-be captors. Someone grabbed him by the back of his shirt and yanked him up roughly. The boy couldn’t even stand properly on his two hooves, staggering.
“We lost one fawn, but we got another.”
One of the hunters easily hoisted Elafi onto his shoulder. The teenager didn’t even struggle; all his effort was focused on not losing consciousness.
They took him back to the camp. The roots he had previously summoned to create a distraction and escape had now disappeared, leaving behind only a patch of disturbed earth.
“We’ll take care of you first, and then your little friend,” one of the men said, dropping Elafi onto the waterproof ground inside the tent. It was quite spacious, with a plastic table and chairs in one corner, sleeping bags on the other side, and various scattered objects and tools. In the center stood a tall, somewhat wide metal column that supported the tent’s ceiling.
The hunters sat Elafi on the ground and tied him to the column, his arms pulled behind his back. More rope was wrapped around his torso, and additional bindings secured his ankles together.
“Today really is our lucky day,” one of the hunters said. Someone removed Elafi’s scarf and used it to gag him. The fabric was long enough to wrap around both the boy’s head and the metal column twice before the ends were tied. Elafi felt the thick cloth pulling his skull backward, digging into the corners of his mouth. No matter how hard he tried, he could only move his head slightly from side to side, and the cold metal cylinder pressed uncomfortably against his spine, crushing his tail.
“Now we just have to wait for that little reptile girl to come back for her friend,” one of the men remarked, exchanging a knowing glance with his companion. “We could have some fun with them before selling them.”
“Nggh, phlss!”
A part of Elafi didn’t want Fidi to come back for him. He knew it was a trap. If they caught her because of him, he wouldn’t be able to bear it—or forgive himself. But on the other hand, he was scared. He was afraid of the hunters, of their intentions. He felt just like that little fawn, trapped and unable to call for help, just waiting for someone to come save him. If anyone even would.
To make matters worse, using his powers twice in one day had left him exhausted and weak. At that moment, summoning the power of the plants again was impossible. He didn’t even have enough energy to struggle against his restraints. He felt his eyelids growing heavier, slowly closing. A wave of fear and worry was the last thing he experienced before losing consciousness.

I know you've had to have already touched on it but you ask for Mouthwashing asks and your last post finally made me think of something to say: the one (1) time in the game when Jimmy gets the closest to asking Anya why she's keeping Curly alive. Buddy!! Why are YOU!!! Curly wasn't your Captain anymore the moment he started talking about moving on and leaving you behind; after the crash you realized he was just your little Redemption Barbie now. The first time we open the med cabinet I thought we were going to be able to kill Curly by pouring the disinfectant down his mouth instead of the painkillers. But no, Jimmy goes out of his way to keep him alive. His "why are you keeping him alive" (paraphrasing) felt so accusatory because it *is* an accusation. Everything he does is a self-report. He keeps Curly alive so he can force Curly to be whatever he wanted him to be-- his savior, his junior, his punching bag, his best friend, his mistake, his enemy. Anya escapes from Jimmy the only way she can in the end but by then he didn't give a shit about her anyway because Curly was the easier target.
Him asking that question to Anya could even potentially be a parallel to the pause before he tells Curly he's going to "take care of it" (or "handle it", idr). Curly had the opportunity to rob him of his power-- to stop him from crashing the ship, to assert his authority and step up-- but he didn't. Jimmy asking Anya why she's keeping Curly alive is in a way taunting her with a similar kind of opportunity: she hypothetically has the ability to rob Jimmy of his power over Curly, to use her authority as the medical officer to end Curly's care, but she can't. And Jimmy knows she can't, and she won't stop him from keeping Curly alive to use him, just like he knew Curly wouldn't stop him from crashing the ship. He only gives the chance when he already knows the answer.
I think this is a misconception, Jimmy is the one who brings it up. Anya doesn't even acknowledge the idea verbally outside of saying she feels nauseous, likely due to the pregnancy and the idea of eating him.
He mentions they all agreed to keep him alive and implies the first reason is a back up food source, though, that's likely his first reason and the others just couldn't bring themselves to kill a guy or thought he deserved it to some extent. I like to think of it less as him taunting her power and more him trying to supplement his ideas into her head the same way he would with Curly. It's very reminiscent of the last conversation he had with Curly of doing something dire and not getting any push back, not by way of her agreeing with him but a non answer.
The relationships between Anya, Curly and Jimmy heavily reflect each other specially when it comes to being victimized by him and how he gets in their head. Anya is way more aware than Curly but lacks the position/power to stop it while Curly is less aware/resigned due to how long it has likely been going on despite having the power to shut Jimmy down. Jimmy is dependent on the two to actually solve his problems and do most of the leg work but becomes hostile the moment he feels it undermines his perception of them or himself in relation.
I do agree that Jimmy is aware Anya won't fight back against him like Swansea does or question him like Daisuke will. He is putting her into the same space as Curly but the key difference is he doesn't see her as a person. He is using her to supplement the active role Curly can't be but doesn't have that loyal friend aspect from her as she just fears and resents him. He's projecting on to her a lot but she never really concedes or acknowledges it in the way Curly did. He hates it and the sort of emotional games he plays with her reaches their peak when she locks herself in medical.
It's very interesting to see how he acts in the post crash without Curly as he is 100% worse but you can see how much of that is because he is aware there is no one to actually cover for his sorry ass now.

CW: Language - Guide to content warnings
Glenn headed to the bathroom and Silver felt his heart sink further. If Ophelia had sorted out the delivery of a pregnancy test... that was as good as saying it was real and happening, wasn't it? Or maybe not. She had said to remember to breathe. Maybe it's just a scare and Glenn was nauseous because Silver was pregnant? Sympathetic pregnancy? That would be much better.
Glenn: Do you want to come in while I-
Silver: No.
Glenn: Okay then. Guess I can figure it out
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Glenn went in to the bathroom and opened the box. It didn't look too complicated and the instructions seemed straight forward. How hard could it be? He peed on the stick and sat down to wait. Silver hadn't come in so there was little point going to wait in his room, he clearly didn't want to be here for it.
But why? He and Silver had talked a lot about adopting kids. Silver had made it clear he wanted kids, and Glenn had had to cheer up the werewolf a few times when he was sad they couldn't have biological kids together. Glenn heard the werewolf move from the bed to outside the bathroom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Silver: Does it say...
Glenn: Not yet. I... I feel like you're not happy. Am I wrong?
He could hear Silver sighing and pacing on the other side of the door.
Silver: No. I just... you shouldn't have to go through pregnancy. It does... it does a lot to your body. I should be going through it instead. Werewolves are stronger and I can't die and you... you could die
Glenn: Beefcake I am not going to die. I... I am going to have a baby though
Silver: Shit! You- you can't be-
Glenn heard the panic in Silver's voice and took the test in to the bedroom to show him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Glenn: Positive. Someway, somehow, I'm pregnant
Silver: *sadly* No. Shit. I can't believe I ruined you
Glenn: You haven't ruined anything. We wanted kids right? I guess we can have biological ones after all
Silver: But you'll get round and lose your abs and your humor and Babycakes it'll all be my fault and if you die-
Glenn: No, hey, hey. It's going to be alright
Silver: You don't know that. We've never heard of a male spellcaster being pregnant. What if the kid kills you to survive to term
Glenn: It won't. But look we'll go talk to Phoebus, he's ancient like you. He's bound to have heard of something like this happening. Forget the stuff I might go through and just focus on the fact that we're having a baby together. How do you feel about them?
Tumblr media
Silver: Well I... I want your kids, however they come. I just didn't think-
Glenn: Baby only Beefcake, baby
Silver: I... I guess... if they do exist already, I'll do whatever it takes to keep them. Short of you being hurt
Glenn: So ignoring everything else, you're happy to have made a kid with me?
Silver: Shit, of course I am. I just- there are so many unknowns and I love you and I don't want you hurt but yes, I'm going to love our kid. I promise. It just might take me some time
Glenn gathered Silver up for a hug. He understood Silver's fears, he had them as well. But he wanted to grow a family with this man.
Tumblr media
Glenn: I know you're sad it's not you pregnant
Silver: I mean... I never liked the idea of being pregnant but I like the idea of you being pregnant even less. Like imagine you've got a little wolf in there? They could break your ribs
Glenn: Then I'm lucky I've got a big strong man to protect me right?
Silver: You are a strong man to
Glenn: Then you know I can do this. I'm going to have our kid Silver and it'll be fine. They'll be healthy, I'll be alive, you'll be a far better dad than yours was
Silver: *sighs* I hope you're right
Glenn: Of course Beefcake, I'm always right

Matt Stromboli🤭
-How about in this lifetime?🪻
I smiled down at his text, and went to answer him.
-Hey Matt
-Hey Y/N. How you been?
-I’ve been good. Just been working on myself for these past few months
-I’ve been thinking about you, do you think about me still?
-Of course I do Matt….
-We should see each other again
-I don’t know…that might open some wounds
-Wounds?
-Yeah, I’m not sure I’m ready to see you again
-Why not?
-I’m scared
-lmao scared of what??
-scared that when I see you my feelings will still be there
-that’s not a scary thing
-yeah it is….especially if the feelings aren’t mutual
-but what if they are?
-you don’t know that Matt. You might think you like me, but that’s not always the case
-Come see me please?
-where? And what time?
-tonight, the burger spot on the pier…6:30??
-yeah sure I’ll be there, see ya Matt
-see you later
Later on that day I had gotten ready to see Matt. I wasn’t sure how to feel. I felt like I still had feelings, but I also felt like I just missed him as a whole, as my friend. I wasn’t sure how seeing his face was going to affect me.
I had Ubered to the pier, and I got there at about 6:25, so I walked to the restaurant. My nerves making me nauseous and anxious.
I got to the restaurant, and told them I was meeting someone so I walked until I spotted Matt. My stomach instantly churning. I walked to the booth and sat down
“Hi” I said looking at him
“Hey Y/N” he said smiling at me, that goddamn smile
“It’s been so long,” I said looking at his face. How can someone change so much in four months
“It has. You look great” he said looking at me
“Thank you. You look great too” I said smiling at him
“Thank you..nothings change” he said laughing a little bit
“You just look so different” I said looking at him
“Could be the hair, or the tattoos” he said looking down at his hair
“Yeah it could be” I said nodding at him
We had gotten dinner and barely spoke…this weird tension always in between us….I just didn’t know how to feel at all. Did I like him or did I not?
We walked on the pier and sat down watching the sunset
“I um I’m not sure what to say” Matt said quietly
“I mean you don’t have to say anything” I told him
“No I do. I just don’t like how that day went” he said looking out to the waves
“It’s okay Matt. We’ve grown from it, and I’m okay. It was needed” I said looking over at him
“I just…man I don’t know. As soon as you left I felt this pain in my chest” he said blinking
“Well I left all you guys” I said looking at the water too
“I feel like I made the wrong decision” he said
“I don’t think you did. I think some part of you feels bad for rejecting me, and you’re making yourself like me, but I just think you miss your friend” I said to him
“Do you still like me?” He asked still not looking at me
“I’m not sure Matt. I came here wondering how I’d feel and if all those feelings would come back, but I uh I feel at peace” I said still looking at the waves
“I really like you” he blurted out
“I don’t think you do. You like the idea of me, but you don’t actually like me” I told him
“Stop hurting yourself by denying it. I fucking like you” he said shaking his head
“Matt, we haven't seen each other for four months. How can you just now say you like me” I said defeated
“Because I've always liked you, and I was so dumb to see that….it has always been you” he said
“Matt….” I said looking over at him
“It really has, and I’m such an idiot for taking so long to realize. I checked everyday if you’d be active on social media, if you’d comment on anything, my finger hovered over your contact. I so badly wanted to call you everyday, but I just couldn’t” he said shaking his head
“I’m glad you didn’t call.” I said to him
“What?” He said looking at me
“I feel like if you called me you would’ve kept me on this string of false hope. I needed to be away from you” I told him truthfully
“I was so stupid” he said
“It’s okay.” I said to him
“I want you, and only you” he said looking at me
“Don’t say things you don’t mean” I said looking at him
“I mean it okay! Stop pushing me away” he said getting a little upset
“I don’t want to get hurt again” I said looking down
“I would never do that to you….again” he said
“I don’t know” I said shaking my head
“Please Y/N” he said pleading
“Matt I don’t know that I see myself with you” I told him
“Kiss me, and tell me you don’t feel the same” he said
I looked up at him, looking into his eyes searching for an answer, but I didn’t find one.
I reluctantly leaned in and connected our lips. It was a kiss that made the whole world stop, it made all my problems float away….Its Matt it’s always been him, and I never wanted to pull away. With him I felt safe and loved
We pulled away, and looked at each other
“Tell me you don’t feel the same, and I will walk out of your life for good, and never bother you again” he said looking into my eyes
“Matt it’s you….it will always be you” I said smiling before pulling him in again, crashing our lips together
Kissing Matt felt like stepping outside into an empty field on a warm evening while watching a beautiful sunset overhead. This kid was my sunset….hes mine, he’s my safety net
“I’m never leaving you” he said rubbing my cheek
“I’d hope not” I said leaning into his touch
“Come home with me” he said
“Of course Matt” I whispered before we got up, and headed out to Matt’s car. Getting in and heading to the triplets house.
I guess Matt’s mine in this lifetime, and in another🪻
The End
I want to write another sad imagine, but nothing pertaining to death of the triplets….Im thinking like an actual….yk what let me not explain my ideas I wanna make yall cry 🤞🏽🤭 anywhooo hope you liked this one💋

Revenge alt 3
Read at your own discretion because it’s gonna get messy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Revenge is in motion
Don’t copy my work
Tumblr media
The night was dragging on as the group started to wind down. You watched as everyone acted as their usual selves. It almost made you laugh. They had no idea. The clock was ticking loudly in your ears as if you were alone. You couldn’t help but think was this going to work?
“What should we do tonight?” Emily asks reapplying lipgloss to her already glossy lips.
“Drink.” Josh says in his regular nonchalant tone. Ashley shakes her head at him.
“You always wanna drink.” She informs him but he just shrugs her off. He didn’t care how much he drank it brought a gathering together in his opinion.
“How about we play a game?” Hannah suggested. The group looks up at her.
“What kind of game?” Mike asks cracking open a beer. He sat down next to Josh waiting for Hannah to continue.
“Hide and go seek.” Beth told everyone making them all look at one another.
“Midnight.” Jess sighs falling into the couch. Everyone just looks at her confused why she said a random time. She throws her arms up in irritation. “It’ll be scarier that way!”
The group reluctantly agrees and time ticks before midnight strikes. You, Beth and Hannah waited and waited and waited. Midnight finally hit making you all come together in the living room. You all gather to hear the rules of the hide and seek game.
“Okay first things first don’t cheat.” Chris commands making the group groan.
“That’s kind of the point, Chris.” Sam tells him slight sarcasm in her voice.
“Yeah well… just in case y’know?” The rules went on before finally the game began. Emily was left to count since she already had no desire to play such childish games.
She slowly walks around the lodge with little to no enthusiasm in finding anyone. She thought this was ridiculous, you guys were adults. She looked in cupboards and under tables but still there was no sign of anyone. She was beginning to feel frustration and irritation.
“You guys are so childish!” She yells out into the silent lodge. She scoffs before hearing something shuffling in the kitchen. She sighed in relief, finally she can progress.
She walked in but no one was to be seen. She scanned the area but nothing was there. She walked through the room with no signs of life it was eerily silent. She heard something fall from a near hallway. She moved with haste to the noise. Maybe someone was finding a hiding place there, horribly at that.
“You suck at hiding.” She blandly stated to the person in the dark room. She flicks on a light and sees a dark figure in the corner of the room. She raises an eyebrow at it because it didn’t match the description of anyone in the house.
“You’re funny. Tryna scare me Michael?” She scoffed crossing her arms and pokes out her hip. The figure turned around holding Beth at knife point as she lets out shaky breaths. The color drained from Emily’s face. Her jaw and arms drop to her sides.
Emily was frozen as her chest heaved with anxiety. The figures mask was gorey. It was like someone’s actual face was stapled onto theirs. It made her physically ill. Her knees could buckle under her at any moment. She brung her shaky hands to her mouth ready to belt out a blood curdling scream until the figure pointed the knife in her direction. They waved it slowly before bringing it back to Beth’s neck. The knife tapped her neck three times.
Emily felt nauseous as she swayed backwards. She heard creaking down the hall like someone was walking towards her. She froze her eyes never leaving Beth’s. She looked so disheveled. Her hair was a mess and her face bloody like she tried to fight them off. They would’ve killed her if Emily hadn’t walked in.
“Emily we’re getting restless.” You sing down the hall hoping your friend would hurry up. You were bored of the game after sitting under the sink for too long. Emily’s head snaps towards your voice relief washing over her.
The masked figure points the knife at Emily as if reminding her what’s on the line. Emily always thought she was smarter than most. She did what any rational human would do.
She screamed.
“In here!” She yelled to you in a panic. The figure slowly shakes its head at her.
“What’s taking—“ You froze upon seeing the figure you wanted to scream. What the fuck is going on? In a swift motion you’re sprayed with a liquid across your face. Instinctively you close your eyes. Emily’s ear piercing scream makes your ears ring.
Beth grasps at her throat trying to hold in the blood. It was gushing staining her outfit. Emily cries loudly while your breathing quickens. Your hands were trembling as you crawled towards your best friend. The figure disappears out of the patio but not before tapping his wrist and pointing to you both. Emily screams making everyone come out of their hiding places and follow her voice.
“Beth come on. I got you. I—I got y-you.” Your voice trembles as do your lips. Tears stream down your face uncontrollably. Your nostrils flare as you try to compose yourself. You add pressure to her wound but you see her eyes draining of life.
“Don’t—just stay with me alright?” You panic your breathing uneven making you lightheaded. You turn back at Emily to see her shaking in a corner. It pissed you off.
“What the fuck are you doing?! Get help! Do something!” You cried hysterically but she doesn’t move as everyone piles in.
“Oh my god…” Ashley says hiding her face in Hannah’s shoulder.
“What the fuck happened?!” Josh yells angrily pushing Mike out of his way. You held Beth close to your chest as you mumbled random promises to her. You rocked back and forth the tears never ending. How did the night turn out this way?
“Beth…killer…he killed her.” Emily mumbled using the wall to steady herself. She swallowed thickly holding back the bile in her throat. The iron smell seeping into the room. Josh just stared at you holding Beth’s lifeless body. It was too much. His baby sister was gone. Lifeless right in front of him.
You all needed to get out of here. Josh tears you away from Beth’s body. You all quickly put your coats, mainly Josh dressing you since you were in so much shock, and leaving your belongings and try to make your way down to the cable cars. You were so shaken up the only thing grounding you was Josh holding your hand tightly.
“Hey listen to me.” He grabs your shoulders making you face him. You felt like you were still crying uncontrollably but the harsh winters air dried your tears.
“I’m not going to let anything happen to you. Not Hannah. Not you. Okay?” He firmly shook you a little as you nodded slowly. The walk was silent and long. Occasionally you heard a twig snap or a shaky breath but not much else.
You guys make it to a radio tower. You look up at its tall stature. You were confused why you were all here. Emily said it would be our best shot at getting help since we had no signal up here. Ashley told her it would be best for everyone to go to the cable car. Chris informed Ashley that all of you couldn’t fit and some of you would have to wait for it to come back leaving the rest vulnerable.
“Well then how about we send everyone in groups huh? Two boys two girls, that way everyone’s equally protected.” Mike strategized the plan and it would work if you all listened.
“I’m taking you and my sister down I don’t care who comes with me.” Josh announced as he ushered you both the other way.
“I’ll stay with Ash.” Chris said holding her close. Matt and Emily group with them. Jessica and Mike stick together along with Sam.
“We should group with Josh. He has Hannah and Dove.” Sam suggested making Mike nod. They follow behind him as the other four go up the tower to call for help.
