Hebe is the Greek goddess of youth and we (the 4 people that worked on the original list), thought that she'd be perfect for her, because of Airi's repeated theme of youth in her stories and comms <3

Airi passively has the ability to age slower, so at the prime of her life, she will naturally retain beauty for a prolonged period of time. She's also slightly more resilient to wounds: bleeds out less, doesn't get bruises and marks easily etc.

An active ability of hers is reversing wounds, without any training she can easily get rid of minor scratches - personally called it an ability similar to Rapunzel's hair, just without the hair and singing part

Imagine her being Happy Everyday and booping a kid's scraped knee,,,,,,,, and the injury goes away like magic,,,,, ,, *fucking cries*

As for Minori - she's a kid of Fortuna, the Roman goddess of luck

Which she found incredibly out of place when she got claimed at Camp Jupiter, because she "keeps failing" (girlflopping) and generally being unlucky, but that was simply her own fault (unknowingly)

Her power is giving other's her luck, but it's at her own expense - she's so kindhearted towards others, she wishes everyone all good and suffers from it afterwards

after listening to an among us song i was given the drive to reboot this au so ,

originated from a doodle that spiraled , SPREAD THE INFLUENCE is an au where ragatha is the ( unwilling ) host of a parasite called ' the influence ' which is a virus that only wants to spread and survive . she wasn't compliant about it at the beginning which was ' fixed ' with an itty bitty bit of psychological torment !

also yes i know the abbreviation is unfortunate and i do not care it's funny

even though ragatha's still our usual sweet little optimist , there is this persistent feeling of wrongness . too positive . too affectionate . it's like all of her humanity has been scooped out and you're left with the mask she made for others in the circus .

which is how the virus spread in the circus - they preyed on vulnerabilities which was what their host is perfect for . striking when the victim puts their guards down , making them submit under the guise that their problems will be fixed ... unfortunately it's a monkey's paw situation .

of course , that's only for this particular instance of the influencer ! something to note is that the virus takes a lot from the host's personality , so t.i's mellow and passive , only resorting to violence whenever necessary . t.i's not really an opposite ragatha she's more like a Dark , Fucked Up Version of ragatha the amazing digital circus . she cares a lot for everyone she considers a part of her hive , but it took a lot of manipulation and gaslighting for them to get infected .

caine is left uninfected because " i would do that if my goal is to destroy this place ! " t.i's ultimate fear has always been dying . it'll do everything to not die , to the point it's trying to spread out of the circus ( <- honestly take this info with a grain of salt i wrote this before i fully developed the story ) . unfortunately there's this jester who's resisting the virus with pure lesbian rage and is trying to stop her .

now rags would eventually get de-influenced and the circus will no longer be infected , but we will talk about the extremely rocky journey of recovering from knowing you harmed everyone you cared about Later

was this ' the influence ' that amanda ( ragatha's va ) keeps referencing ? sighs ... yeah . ( feels so surreal that i can say i have their seal of approval for this )

why ragatha ? in story , how is she not the perfect host ? metatextually , this is an au of an au - this came from a blog about ragatha getting a virus that is inconveniencing her life . i simply thought of an idea of ' hey what if the virus took over her body ' one day . then this abomination was born . i would reveal the why and how she got infected ... eventually .........

Wip Fic options!

I have some fanfic ideas (some more developed than others) and I want to see if anyone has a preference for what I focus on/write. Here are the options with in depth explanations under the cut because the titles do not say everything:

Explanations here:

1) One of your girls. Bokris

Kris exploring his sexuality and relationship to Bojan by fucking him like "one of his girls". Angsty. Lots of idiots being in love with each other and not admitting it. Possibly a sequel to "not meant to like boys"

2) Maček. Jure focus, possibly JanJure or poly!JO

Jure isn't human. He's instead a cat like creature that can transform himself called a Maček. He's the last of his kind and so decides to send his race out with a bang by living his life to the fullest. Lots of Jure exploring what life has to offer and a bit of angst about his species dying when he does.

3)Bartender/ drag queen AU. Not sure of ships but probably bokris, jance, janjure or poly!jo.

Bojan is a drag queen, Kris is a performer in the house band, nace is the sober barfly, Jure is one bartender and Jan is the new bartender coming into the chaos. Probably something along the lines of them needing to save the club. Maybe Bojan convincing them all to get into drag with him.

4) love fairy AU. Bokris and poly!JO.

Bojan is a love fairy and has to get Kris from a unlovable loser who has no luck with anyone to a sex god so Bojan can earn his summer vacation. Kris has to then sleep with Jure (an easy lay but hard to get to love him), Jan (childhood best friend with a secret crush) and Nace (a true gentleman who has to be wooed before Kris can put his new skills to use). Bojan might also find himself falling for his client.

(Is this a huniepop inspired fic? Yes absolutely but there's more emotions lol)

5) teen pregnancy AU. BokrisJan

Jan is an omega and hates it. He hates it even more when he's accidentally knocked up by his two alpha best friends Kris and Bojan. They don't know the true father and together they have to grow up fast and figure out what they're going to do. This one will be pretty damn long and really explore all their emotions and relationships with each other. I want it to be properly emotional.

6) dark stud dog AU. Bokris, JanceJure.

An alternate version of my Stud Dog AU where jure, nace and Jan are also 'dog'. This would be a breeder AU with Kris and Nace escaping a facility that's basically a puppy farm. Much darker than my original Stud Dog AU and will explore more sensitive themes but will still be enjoyable.

i have a bit of a long answer to this, so i hope you don’t mind me replying as a post, just in case anyone else is curious

the tl;dr is: i'm planning to write a fic for this AU, but i'm happy to read your fic as well with proper credit

first thing is: i’m overjoyed by the positive response to this little AU! it’s definitely been occupying my mind as i’ve been studying (Eclipse is notably the most distracting) so i’m glad there’s an interest in such a simple premise—i was honestly hesitant to call it an AU at first by how simple an idea it is

that being said, i’ve been hinting at it a bit in some of my tags, but i am planning to write a fic for this AU it’s still in the planning and drabble stage, but there is definitely a story that i’m hoping to share. unfortunately, i am currently attempting to speedrun a 2 year program, so my time is short—and my leisure time is split between my other competing ideas and inhaling other people’s creative works to revive me after my daily readings

i will say that the AU has evolved quite a bit since my initial drawings—new designs, more background info, and a healthy dose of lore and trauma for the entire main cast—so there’s a lot i’m excited to share with you all

THAT BEING SAID, i am always eager to encourage other people’s creativity and i am so honoured that my little doodles can inspire people to be creative. so i would absolutely love to see your fic, i just ask that you:

there will be a Y/N, and Y/N has some lore, but other than some key backstory and key areas of development, i try to keep them gender neutral and as ambiguous as possible

New Fic: Broken Wings (2/31)

Onwards with chapter 2, in which Viggo reappears and Orlando grabs his chance.

Chapter 2 is probably a bit early to say this, but feel free to comment or send an ask with angles/points/questions you'd like explored more (backstory, characters - whatever interests you). I'm still very much set on completing the @yearoftheotpevent. At the moment I have five ficlets (of twelve) finished, including the ones I've already posted. They all explore things that didn't really fit into the main arc, because there wasn't really space and opportunity to go down that particular road. I'm still searching for bunnies for the remaining seven ficlets.

2. "Do you think I'm boring?" on AO3 || DW

This is in response to a pseudo ask game where I asked people to send me the name of a song on my master playlist for my LotRO AU and I would say something about why that song was on the playlist.

So the reason why there are two versions of that is kind of a funny story. So, I didn't write Léonys of Rohan in order. There was a progression of going from Part 1 to Part 10 so that everything flowed correctly and there were no blatant contradictions, but if I was writing Part 2 and not really feeling it, I would jump ahead and write future scenes. (This is why there were months-long gaps between the first few chapters and the last three were posted within a week of each other.) As a result, Part 9 was actually written before a lot of the rest of it. It didn't much resemble the final version of Part 9 and took place in Edoras, but most of the dialogue was actually largely unchanged from that first version.

So the first song that I associated with these scene was actually I See the Light, from Tangled. It tied well into Léonys getting everything she ever wanted and then realizing she wanted something else more. I wanted a solo version, though, since the song didn't really apply to Hathellang, and after some poking around I found the Brent Morgan version that actually ended up on the Léonys of Rohan playlist. He actually posted it while I was shopping around. That song initially transplanted the scene to the pier of Minas Tirith. And that was the song that sat on the playlist to represent that scene up until the day I actually sat down to write the scene.

Sort of parallel to all this, I saw How to Train Your Dragon 2 for the first time, and I really liked For the Dancing and the Dreaming. I had actually heard the song before; I really liked Erutan's cover. But I didn't really immediately associate the song with Léonys and Hathellang. I did listen to a whole bunch of different covers of it, though, and crowned the cover by Peter and Evynne Hollens as my favorite. At the end of that video, Peter shouts out the cover by The Hound + The Fox featuring Taylor Davis, who inspired the video he did. This was the first time The Hound + The Fox really came onto my radar. I clicked through and listened to their cover -- the version of the song that would eventually find its way to the Léonys of Rohan playlist -- and I did not like it. My reasons basically boiled down to, "My high school vocal coach wouldn't have liked it." Which was fine. I clicked off it and determined not to watch it again, and went on with my life.

I still didn't associate the song with Léonys and Hathellang. I think the fact that it opened with a mention of sailing kept me from properly making the association. I remember wondering if I could ever write something that would involve Léonys getting on a boat and deciding it was almost certainly not going to happen. :)

And then the day came that I sat down to write Part 9, and I put on I See the Light, and it wasn't doing it for me. I think it might have been because it's a very Léonys-centric song choice, and Hathellang had developed a stronger voice and bigger role in the story than I had intended or expected, so the song wasn't really working with the scene anymore. I tried for several hours to write it anyway, with no luck, and finally had to face the fact that I was listening to the wrong song. Peter and Evynne Hollens' For the Dancing and the Dreaming was in the recommendations for I See the Light, so I clicked on that, and it was a bit better, definitely more what I was looking for, but still not quite it. The way it speeds up at the end didn't quite match the scene I was writing. And then, on a whim, I clicked on The Hound + The Fox's cover. A cover which, I will remind you, I did not like.

But it was what I needed to write the scene, and despite having not liked it when I started, within two hours I loved it. The scene was written and ready to post before lunchtime.

Both versions of the song stayed on the master playlist because I think the Peter & Evynne Hollens version is still my favorite. Maybe there will be some other situation I'll write about later where it will fit better. :)

Maybe he was nice to her in the past; that sort of thing but now my mind is fairly odd parents a new wish; most likely her and trixie are all grown up and living their young adult lives and who even’s knows if they’re still friends or still talk to each other

My fairy Felicity gets to travel to different times and universes as long as she doesn’t muck around with Time and don’t change time because that’s Father Time’s job so anything involving time you have to go through him (she has his number to call him if time is involved; she doesn’t muck around with time and upset Father Time; it is now a rule many a fairy has to follow you gotta check in with Father Time; mucking around with Veronica star would be mucking with time atm and we cannot do that; but what felicity can do is show recordings of the past by making little moving screen show up and play events like a little flash back; heck she’ll even magic up some movie treats and drinks so while you’re watching it you can snack) also I see her wanting to become Timmy’s assistant to help him deal with all the lawyers paperwork he’s most likely gonna need in @jessadamsdraws the deal au *she’s been working on trying to induce herself to him to work as his assistant being as it seems he needs one (( also she soo wants to get out of fairy world and doesn’t feel like she could handle being a god parent without getting some experience of what earth is like now; she was a human child from Australia from a time when England was sending convicts to Australia then got turned into a fairy so only times she gets to be on earth is to help cats find their forever homes and she wishes to see how humans have change from when she once was one long long LONG ago))

Hello Nichya, I hope that you are doing better health wise? I was recently inspired for a Zucest Au idea and wanted to run it by you. Below is an historical context for the idea. Feel free to skip it if you wish.

In Bronze Age History of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Hittite and Egyptian Empires had a titanic clash at the battle of Kadesh in 1274 B.C.E, taking place in Canaan. The battle resulted in the first recorded treaty between two polities in human history. Both sides claimed victory in their state Propaganda.

Older scholarship held to the view that the battle was an Egyptian victory. Though modern scholars believes the battle to either have ended in a stalemate or a potential Hittite victory. Due to the fact that the Hittite’s were able to retain control of Kadesh and regain overlordship of some nearby Canaanite cities. Expanding southward at the expense of the Egyptian Empire of the XIX dynasty. Though only moderately.

After the battle, the Hittes and Egyptians would enjoy cordial relations. With the two imperial states never again going to war. Though that’s more likely because the former polity became defunct during the Bronze Age collapse. Rather than out of genuine desire from either side to uphold the treaty of Kadesh.

After the wars conclusion; the royal families between the two sides became remarkably close. With the monarchs of the two empires (Pharaoh Ramesses II “the great” and king Ḫattušili III respectively) addressing each other as “brother”. Both men had fought against each other at Kadesh.

It was the custom for the time period at the Bronze Age, for monarchs of great states to each other as “brother” in personal correspondence. The Egyptian pharaohs would typically (though not always) adress other monarchs of lesser states as “son”. Which implied Egypts greater prestige and authority. The very fact that the Pharaohs would adress the Hittite kings as “brother”, shows a sense of being equals or at least a high degree of respect. Which is remarkable in and of itself.

In addition, the wife of Ḫattušili III known as Puduḫepa and Nefertari the principal wife of Ramesses the Great would also have personal correspondence with each other as well. The two queens Addressing one another as “sister”. With the two even sending eachother gifts back and forth. Both Puduḫepa and Nefertari were transformative figures in polities With Nefertari aiding her husband in bringing about an Egyptian golden Age. While Puduḫepa did likewise in Hatti. With modern scholars calling her (to paraphrase) as one of the most “authoritative and important figures in the anciet East Mediterranean”.

Apologies for the long winded near essay above, but I wanted to provide a bit of context for an Au that was inspired by this neat period of history. Now onto the Zucest questions!

Say in an alternate ATLA universe, the Fire Nation goes to war with say the earth kingdom.

The Fire Nation is led by its newly appointed Fire Lord Zuko. Who was installed after the mysterious death of his predecessor Ozai. He went to war with the Earth kingdom in order to check their advances. His main opponent was earth king kuei and his Dai Li. Though Zuko’s greatest asset was his younger sister Azula. A powerful if somewhat duplicitous advisor.

The battle itself ends inconclusively and the two heads of state and their advisors meet for a peace deal.

Over the course of these talks, Zuko and Kei become acquaintes and begin a correspondence. With the Zuko’s attraction to Azula being revealed accidentally. For her part, Azula begins writing to perhaps Jin in the earth kingdom court. Where like with before, her attraction to Zuko is accidentally revealed.

In this Au, do Azula and Zuko confess their attraction to one another randomly begin a romantic relationship? Or are they advised to ignore their feelings by their new “pen pals”. Essentially, how do you think the relationship would develop?

so it started when I was younger and I got superrrr inspired but animation memes and animated pilots on youtube! I wanted to do it too so I came up with some characters and a plot. the plot I came up with used the same cast of characters as of now minus one !! her name was jaz/jazmine and she had a superee angsty backstory or whatever but i ended up scrapping her in the story my ocs are in now. Since I didn’t know what to do with her there :/ but originally, my ocs story had a WAYYY different plot. Basically the main character was still cassidy but it was a dual pov between her and jaz. cassidy, cici, quill, kira, pricila, and Anthony all went to this super fancy old high school that wouldn’t let them leave until they graduated, cuz surprise surprise the people running the school are evil and they end up wiping the memories of the kids that went there so they wouldnt tell anyone if the awful treatment for those years. But anyway, in this story, Jaz is a demon that works for satan and her job is to kill as many people since most people are “sinners” and he needs new demons to work for him. So jaz takes the job of wiping out everyone at this school that those 6 go to. And she poses as a student with a human disguise. In the process of trying to kill everyone, she ends up becoming really close friends with Cassidy and her friends and ends up dating cassidy in the end. There’s also another plot revolving Cassidy and her friends discovering all the evil things the school did. But I ended up scrapping the idea since there were too many holes in the plot. (Don’t judge I came up with this idea when I was eleven ;w;) But I reallyyyy liked the characters from that story so I started thinking of some aus for them and I thought of them in an apocalyptic sorta situation and became obsessed with it !! But the plot now is that some of the largest chains of nuclear power plants explode and send america into a nuclear wasteland. because of the radiation there are also monsters and stuff trying to kill them so that’s fun. And there’s a tinge of mystery as of why did the plants blow up? yknow, for the plot lol. I also loved the character development and overall plot in this story !!

Grafted Branches: Fight!

By this point maybe I should make a turtle blog. ANYWAYS

Because GB is a separated au, not all of the sibs grew up with Splinter. So their fighting styles and experiences are quite… mixed.

From oldest to youngest:

Dona has the most formal training, learning aikido and later ninjitsu from Oroku Saki. It was rocky going at first, but once Karai and Casey found out that Dona reacts faster to sounds than movements when fighting, the gang were able to design a system that prompts Dona with audio when fighting (different sounds are connected to different katas, and Don will instinctively do the kata Don has connected to that sound when it’s played). Because of this handicap and Dona’s inherent speed, Don has developed a fighting style that is vicious and fast- but very, very predictable. Don relies on surprise and speed, which does actually make Don a very good ninja!

Rafa was (partially) raised by Splinter and so has a spattering of aikido and ninjitsu training. Mainly, though, he uses kickboxing and wrestling techniques learned from Beebop and Rocksteady any time they weasel their way back into the Red Heart Sanctuary’s good graces. He will also just sit on you, my boy is 6 foot 1 of pure muscle, fat, tail, and shell. He’s definitely a contender on the battle field, but tends to focus on protection and de-escalation unless things get Really Bad, in which case. He has the strongest holding bite of the sibs (Dona might have the fastest and most force, but Don’s jaw is relatively weak and can be held open really easily if you jam it even slightly past Don’s release point).

Michael is a street brawler at heart, my lil terror <3. Sun begged saber training from sun’s uncle and learned keysi from sun’s dad (strictly for self defence! And to keep the terror from trashing the store with sun’s never-ending energy) but has also just picked up everything and anything sun thinks might be useful, which includes a lot of parkour. Michael fights dirty and will lead you on a merry chase around whatever area the fight is taking place in, utilizing the environment to deliver powerful blows from every direction. Anything to Michael is a weapon, and will be used accordingly! Just don’t let sun get close to water, sun is literally too dense to float TwT

Lee is an odd case. He’s extremely analytical and a perfectionist, but this doesn’t translate to “amazing fighter”. Although the way he fights is loose and flexible like Michael, he doesn’t have the same careless gusto to just try out new things. A lot of what he was taught was twofold: learning both how to be flashy and please the crowd while also viciously and discreetly taking the wind from your opponent’s sails. He relies a lot on intimidation and misdirection when fighting, and while his actual fighting skill is good, he doesn’t have the confidence to really push for the win, being a fairly defensive fighter instead. However, Lee is incredible at quickly analyzing the situation and pointing his sibs in the right directions, and often takes over from Dona once the action starts and there’s too much chaos and unpredictability for Don to handle (and if Karai isn’t there).

All in all, each of the sibs has a different way of contributing in fights- and in other types of confrontations. Want to make a business alliance with someone, get an accidentally inspiring speech, or plan an intricate heist? Dona. Wanna calm someone down, gain loyal allies, or fix a refrigerator? Rafa’s got it. Wanna confuse and embarrass the enemy, or maybe need some random super rare information? Send Michael! And for a special treat if you want to ruin someone psychologically, or if you need an on-the-fly plan that will Definitely Work, or if you need someone to become a meat puppet, Lee’s gotchu covered <3

thanks for the ask! <3 and it's really not a problem to cover all of what i've written so far (and upcoming chapters) :] i like to yap about my stories.

in general: if i'm remembering correctly, i conjured this idea around 2020-2021, so when i was a freshman in high school, but i never actually published it until 2023 (junior year). which is kinda crazy, since i obviously wasn't in college then. but i am now, so i can write it (somewhat) more accurately now.

as for how i came up for the concept for "buy me coffee?" itself... i don't really remember. i mean, i knew i liked cafes and wanted to write an au about it, but i forgot where i got the inspiration for the plot itself. i want to say it was from a "plot shop" fic on wattpad but i don't really remember for sure.

chapter 1: you would not BELIEVE the amount of times i ended up rewriting the very first chapter. like, i'm pretty sure i've rewritten it at LEAST 10 times, minimum. still, i liked how it turned out—i consider it my funniest chapter low-key.

chapter 2: i don't necessarily HATE this chapter, but i do think i could've probably written the conversation between kaito and shuichi a bit better because it felt a bit info-dumpy, but whatever.

chapter 3: i think this might've been my favorite chapter to write so far. i just have a soft spot for bowling, hence why it was the main focus of the chapter. and arcades in general. oh, and i really like the WOH, in case you couldn't tell :3 the arcade is going to be brought up again, so look forward to that!

chapter 4: i had a very hard time writing the beginning of this chapter for some reason??? 😭 i still kinda don't like it and i think that contributes to why i consider it my least favorite chapter so far. i did like writing the LGBT club bit tho

chapter 5: this was definitely the most random chapter i've written so far in terms of what was happening, imo, and i kinda didn't like it at first but then a commenter said that they liked the scene where kaito makes shuichi his sidekick, so i have a better opinion of it now :p

chapter 6: goddamn the interactions between kokichi & hiyoko were my favorite thing to write in this chapter (i really need to write more content for them).

chapter 7: this is my second favorite chapter so far; half because of the saimota interaction, and half because i really love cats :D

chapter 8: like i said in the author's note, i had planned for something completely different to happen here, but i've decided to push it back to a later chapter, so i won't spoil that, but i really had to scramble to write something so training time!

upcoming chapters: i actually have a majority of the chapters planned for this fic, i just actually need to write them (curse my mental illness 😡), but for the next chapter some more development between saimota happens. also, kaede, maki, and kokichi make a re-appearance because i miss writing for them! i haven't gotten too far into it, but here's a little snippet of the beginning (subject to change):

You know how you have those times where you don't feel like doing a certain task, so you put it off until later? Yeah, that was the exact predicament Kaito was in the moment. Except, well… he had been putting off a five-page essay that was due in less than two hours. Which was why he was now furiously typing away at his laptop while he sat in the cafe that day, because goddammit, he was not going to let his procrastination get in the way of completing his dare!

but, yeah! :D this is my favorite longfic to write, and i hope i can actually see it through to the end!

I doesn't take much to get me to talk about ideas and WIPs so here you go!

I'm not sure how soon any of this will get done, just because life is very busy right now (which is the reason I've been focusing on short stuff - I prefer medium/long, but short is more achivable right now; and it is a fun challenge to stick to a word limit).

Actively working on:

Zukka HC Sketch + Fic: I have two other Zukka H/C-ish sketches that I need to write stories for. They should be a little less angsty then the last one, in theory, but still have some H/C element. Waiting for inspiration to strike. (1 - 1.5k each goal). I might do more of these, or I might switch to a non-H/C sketch/fic focus. Or I might stop when those two are done. IDK. Whatever's fun.

Iroh and Zuko Post "The Desert" Whump AU: Zuko and Iroh’s escape from "The Desert" is intercepted by an enemy who quickly surmises that the most effective way to torture Iroh is to torture Zuko. With Iroh literally losing his mind, can Zuko (who is not doing well) save his uncle and himself? (currently at 4k; estimated 12 - 16k)

If I can finish the above by the end of the year I'll be pleased.

Ideas that I really want to do and have at least done *some* pre-writing for:

Iroh's Second Spirit World Journey: An Iroh centric story that diverges after "The Earth King." When Zuko never wakes up from his angst coma, Iroh goes literally beyond the ends of the earth to try to save him (aka - Iroh's second spirit world journey). Could have a sequal (or even be a trilogy, potentially), but not required. I really want to write this but I'm not sure if it would have an audience. Estimate: long, over 25k

Escaping the Desert: Another "The Desert" divergence story - Zuko and Iroh are captured by the Rough Rhinoes. Unfortunately, so is Toph. Zuko will do anything to save his uncle, but what about the strange blind girl who was with the avatar? Estimate 15 - 25k. The problem with this one is it would more or less require a trilogy... but if I can keep all the stories to around 10-15k that may be achievable.

Zukka Iron Lung: There is a plague that only effect firebenders. This spurs the invention of the iron lung -- Sokka is one of the lead engineers. When Sokka goes to the Fire Nation to Save the Day, he catches feelings for the Fire Lord. Unfortunately, Zuko then catches the plague. Length TBD.

Zukka Post Series romance: Zuko was injured/disabled before the finale and never took the throne. Sokka hasn't spoke to him since. He has, however, developed PTSD. With his life seemingly falling apart. Sokka decides to run away and go to university at Ba Sing Se. He stops for tea at the Jasmine Dragon, which is now run by, you guessed it, Zuko. Angst and romance ensures. Bonus airbender field trip. Length TBD.

Ice Demon / Waterbender Hospital - This is something I'm not sure anyone would be interested in except me, but I do like medical whump. I've done some light worldbuilding for a waterbender hospital, and have a vague idea of sending Zuko there when he's attacked by an Ice spirit. For some reason. Maybe involving Aang and his quest to master the avatar state? or maybe not, because that would be a lot of story. Lots of more to develop here. Could be gen or Zukka. Season 3 somewhere. Length TBD.

Fire Demon story - I would love to write a longer form season one AU that shamlessly steals the premise of the excellent short fic Fire Walk by Sholio and makes it into a multi-chapter Zuko joins the gang early story. Length TBD.

Ancedotes: This is an idea for a series of short form slice of life/characters backstory fics (3 - 8k, lets say). So far they'd include - "Old Man " a story that answers the question 'how did Sokka learn about physics?' - coming of age/loss of innocence; "Losing at Pai Sho" a story about teen Iroh learning to not be arrogant; and "First Kiss" - the only idea I've ever had for an Azula story, featuring Ty Lee's first kiss and Azula's first... something else. I have an idea for Toph and Zuko, but not committed to them. Katara story has not come to me. I also wanted to pair these with exercises from The 3 A.M. Epiphany because idk the whim struck and the idea is in my head.

Aside form that, I'd like to write a few whumpy Zuko short stories (3 - 10k) that focus on the gaang relationships I haven't written about as much - friendship fics featuring Katara & Zuko, Aang & Zuko, or Toph & Zuko.

If I am ever to become independently wealthy, I'll write my season 3 AU.

And if I ever feel very, very silly - but still slightly angsty - I'll have Iroh commission a symphony in C.

one of my friends in the "aw shucks, hux" server has DA:V and made a rook that looks just like hux, so naturally i was inspired to make a sort-of-angsty DND AU where armitage is a half-elf artificer

his father brendol, a high elf military officer descended from a patriar of baldur's gate, fathers him with one of the women who works in the kitchen on his expansive manor, a human named soairse

saoirse loves baby armitage sooooo much!!! she loves his ginger hair and green eyes, even his cute little ears. when he's a little baby, she carries him in a sling on her back while she works. (baby armitage loves this)

brendol and maratelle, another high elf, begrudgingly allow her to keep him given that brendol and maratelle have tried and failed to have their own children which would leave the hux estate without an heir

then, in order to ensure that any and all of his property remains within the family, he betroths a toddler armitage to the newborn daughter of another noble elven family—another half-elf.

brendol sends him to one of the finest academies in faerûn—reminding him the entire time that he better make the tuition money worth it.

armitage shows amazing prowess at design and mathematics. he can take apart a machine and put it back together again without ever looking at the blueprints. this garners him attention from his father's grand admiral, rae sloane. she takes him under her wing and gets him into specialized artificer apprenticeships, bringing him all the way to the position of chief engineer of the faerûnian military.

along the way, he internalizes brendol and maratelle's prejudice against half elves as well as their low opinion of anyone outside nobility. he overachieves in school, his apprenticeships, and in how tightly he holds to his family's noble traditions, etiquette, and values. it was beaten into him daily, how could he ever forget?

he develops a special kind of loathing for brendol because of it. it isn't just the abuse, but that brendol would keep him from shining brighter just because his son's human ancestry is "shameful" to the hux name. if armitage has a chance to take one step up, brendol pushes him back down. maratelle punishes him in a different way—she abuses his mother instead. maratelle will force her to work through any ceremonies armitage is a part of, or banishes her to the servants' housing for days without reason. he develops a certain ruthlessness, thinking that if he can just go far enough, he'll finally be able to get out from under his father.

rae sees it too. she sees how her junior officer batters his son into high achievement. she sees how she sabotages him. who is this underling to be fucking with the hard work she's put into raising armitage into the man he is? he must be dealt with. and armitage agrees. if he had control of the estate, he wouldn't have to answer to brendol or maratelle anymore. there's no limit to what he could do, not just with the money but with nobody over him waiting to get his neck under their boot.

when armitage is older, roughly in his thirties, he's on the shortlist to be appointed chief engineer of the faerûnian military and one of five top strategists for the flaming fist. rae knows that brendol has plans to sabotage him, so she gets to him first. brendol dies in a military training 'accident' about a month before the appointment. maratelle dies from a 'mysterious illness' a week after.

in the span of a fortnight, armitage inherits the title of chief engineer, strategist, and master of the hux estate. there's just one problem: he needs to be married and he is, currently, very very single.

Creative Differences

Let's start with Late Bloomer, which I was calling "unhinged Omegaverse" basically right up until I published it. This fic was born out of a really lively discussion in January with @duchessdepolignaca03 and @zwiazdziarka that spiraled into omegaverse tropes that do and don't scratch the brain nicely. One trope that we all sort of landed on as not great is the idea that a male omega is automatically hyperfeminized.

So then I decided -- well if there's one character in any fandom who's going to say, "fuck your secondary sex characteristic norms," it's probably Alex Claremont-Diaz. This percolated in my brain for a bit and eventually spawned a sort of reverse ugly duckling fic where Alex presents as an omega well after his peers and, therefore, also after he goes through puberty. Then he finds love in alpha Henry, who's also not the stereotypical brick shithouse alpha.

I knew I needed some sort of conflict because I didn't just want this to be porn (although it got super porny), so I decided the American medical system was just as terrible in the AU as it is in real life, and that America is just as terrible to omegas in this AU as it is to AFAB folks in real life. For example, the heat meds concept was inspired by the various forms of hormonal birth control on the market that are all intended to be taken by AFAB folks.

Moving on to Be Worthy Love, and Love Will Come! This is hands down my favorite thing I've written, and I'm so proud of it. This was originally supposed to be a cute little ficlet which probably would've only included the scene from Henry's early childhood, wherein he wishes for a best friend and finds one in a shrub on the Kensington Palace grounds.

However, Mother Nature had other plans: we got hit by a bomb cyclone on the day I started writing this, and then we lost power for a solid week. For the first couple of days of the power outage, I was charging my iPad with my car, and then we got hold of a generator so I was charging my iPad with that, and it's probably the only reason I remained relatively sane.

Once I got past the scene where Henry is eight and Alex is seven, I found myself adding more interludes as Henry grew up, and knew that Arthur would have to be a large part of it. Henry canonically thinks his dad hung the moon, so I had to make him the best dad ever.

Alex developing a bond with Arthur wasn't something I ever set out to write, but it naturally happened as I continued working on the story. It allowed Alex to understand the depth of Henry's grief and feel it for himself, which made a world of difference in how things ended.

Finally, Single Sad-Sack Seeking Same: this was my "oh shit, Valentine's Day is this week" fic. And, listen. I'm really bad at fluff, generally speaking. I need there to be a depth of emotion in my writing that I can't really access when it's just fluff, so I knew I'd have to make either Henry or Alex go through it.

Which is, of course, why the fic starts with Alex losing his coffee and getting soaked by NYC winter road slush, and then delves into the hardships faced by the clients from the LGBTQ+ youth center with whom both he and Henry work.

Really, my favorite part of this wasn't Henry and Alex themselves, but Pez doing his best Billy Porter and fabulous godmothering these two idiots into love.

4. A story idea you haven't written yet

Oh, I have many (too many, some would say) but I once had an idea where Party Prince Wille gets into big big trouble one night. He gets way too drunk at a club, and even gets photographed leaving with someone. The next morning, his mother shows him images of him leaving with none other than Simon Eriksson, Sweden's Sweetheart, hand fully on his ass in a definitely-not-friendly way. His mother is done with him ruining the image of the monarchy with all his fooling around. In order to straighten out his image, Wille and Simon have to pretend they're actually dating...

I'm not explaining this well but it's fun and messy I promise

I get my inspiration from songs, a good 99% of the time (I stan very lyrical artists and that makes it so so easy)

17. Talk about your writing and editing process

Ooooh okay. Love this question!

Once I have an idea, like when that first flash hits me, I start writing immediately. Doesn't matter where I am; at home or at work or, once, literally walking the streets of New York. Cause once I have that idea, I usually at least have one or two fully fleshed out scenes in my head that I have to get out before I lose them.

After that, I usually let the stories marinate and sit and focus on other projects that are in a further stage of development. It's rare that I immediately write a whole story; editorial au really is the exception to anything really.

After that, I just pick up the story whenever I feel like it, but the beginning of writing is very much snippets in my notes, little random thoughts that hit me throughout the day.

When I sit down to write, depending on how fueled I am, I either write like 5k words in one go or 5. I try not to be too hard to myself during the writing stage; it doens't need to be good then (it really doesn't need to be good ever, but hey) it just needs to be Something. Words on a page. Any thoughts I have about the scene. Any time I get stuck, I write in a bracket what I want to do and move on. If I think about what I'm stuck on for too long I get stuck in writing and lose all motivation. It happens once or twice that I also don't have any ideas on what's supposed to happen after the scene I'm stuck on, but yeah, usually brackets.

I also talk to myself in the comments. If I'm hit with an idea about something I wrote earlier, the most I'll do is put a comment there about that idea, and go back to where I left off.

Sometimes I'll ask friends on opinions; discuss scenes or whether something a character does is actually in character. Talking really helps in working through hurdles, more so than I initially thought it would.

Often times when writing I think of my writing as too flat, but that's okay, because: editing is where I shine.

Now, given my profession this shouldn't have surprised me but I mean it that my best work is done in editing. That's where I get the sentences to flow, the pacing to work. I'll rewrite whole sections, and maybe it can seem like a waste of time, but those rewritings wouldn't be as good if there wasn't something that came before them. I take my time editing, making sure everything works, and then I send it off to my beta reader who reads it, works out those final kinks with me and then it's off to ao3!

(this all means it does take me ages to publish a story so thank you to everyone who's so patient with me lol)
