Linkon University (also called the University of Linkon) is one of many universities in the in-game world. In Rafayel's "Addictive Pain" Anecdote, we learn that he served as a visiting professor for one year while the protaganist was still a student. Though we know the protaganist studied at this university, her major has not been specified in-game.

Campus:

Linkon University's campus is open and accessible to everyone. A tour beyond the school gate would likely showcase its lush greenery, red bricks, and various tree-lined paths. In spring, a lot of people like to visit the campus to admire the peach blossoms there. Over the years, students have developed many campus legends. For example, legend says that if you reach the end of a specific campus path in exactly one hundred steps, you'll have a better relationship.

Buildings & Facilities:

Building No. 3:

When the protaganist gives Xavier a campus tour, she starts by taking him to “Building No. 3”. This building is often used for weekend classes, but is also a popular location for studying.

According to legend, if you fall asleep in the last row (the desk in the farthest corner of the classroom) of Room No. 303, you can predict certain things. For example, the protaganist says that when she had fallen asleep in that spot, she dreamed she failed her test. When she woke up, she actually did fail it.

Chemistry Building:

The chemistry building is described as white building that can be seen from a window in Building No. 3. Its equipped with a laboratory, which is featured in another campus legend. According to this legend, the laboratory is always "cold as ice" because it's haunted. But Xavier deduced that the "ghosts" were little more than a malfunctioning air conditioning system.

Art Center:

The Art Center building is crowned with a glass spire bearing the name of the university. Here, one can find the Art Center Studio and multiple auditoriums/lecture halls. When Rafayel taught there, he held his lectures in the Art Center's largest auditorium.

Campus café:

The café on campus offers various options for refreshment, some of which are coffee and cake. The protaganist mentions a specific shell-shaped cake served here called "Sea Salt Cheese".

Track Field:

Though I don't see a track portrayed, the image below is shown when the protaganist takes Xavier to see the campus track field. It is described as "old, but familiar".

Rumors say a tireless shadow always comes to this track field at midnight, and weird grunts can be heard at 6:06 AM. But the shadow is just a girl who likes to do long distance running at night, and grunts are just a guy from the track and field team practicing his shot put.

I figure in some videos when GG is talking to others he has translators but it does not look like anyone from his staff is around and I was wondering if they were speaking in English or what other languages he might speak. The man he's seen talking with a lot is Diego Della Valle, the CEO of Tod's. GG has a fantastic relationship with him, and he even referred to him as yeye (grandpa) in his Vogue interview from the show.

Last time GG was in Milan Della Valle took GG on a tour of some beautiful sites around Italy - including the Colloseum in Rome -and some sites significant to the brand (the workshop, the flagship store, etc.). GG got to spend a lot of time with him, so they had plenty of opportunity to build a strong relationship.

You can tell just by his entire demeanour around GG that Della Valle adores GG. Which makes absolute sense given how cute, gracious and charming GG is. When GG arrived at the Tod's show this year Della Valle lit up like a Christmas tree.

They sat together last year at the Tod's show as well (those who missed out on last year's trip can check out my 'gg milan fashion week 2023' tag).

Anyway, you weren't asking about Della Valle, you were asking about how GG is able to communicate with him. The simple answer is that GG does have some English!

Many students in China learn English in school, although they sometimes don't get as much opportunity to speak it, so it's probably kind of like my French - I understand quite well to hear, read and write it, but my accent and pronunciation are a bit rough around the edges (that's putting it mildly 😅).

With the international travel he's done and all the elbow-rubbing he's had to do with foreign celebrities and brand stakeholders I think GG has had a lot more opportunity than the average person to exercise his language skills, so I've no doubt he's improving all the time.

He's also a huge music lover and has many times been seen singing English songs from Avril Lavigne, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith and many more. A couple of English performances he's done in the past:

Starts at 3:22 (I'll never get over hockey player GG 🥲).

It also seems clear that GG has a general interest in languages. He knows a fair bit of Korean and he and DD are seen in The Untamed BTS speaking various languages and dialects, including English. This is also a common feature of LRLG rumors.

There are many clips to be found online of GG speaking English for ads, occasionally a few lines for drama roles, throwing in English phrases into interviews, etc. Just based those alone I think one can tell that he's got pretty good English. His pronunciation is quite good.

If you watch some of the vlogs he's posted from the international events, and some of the clips shared by brands and magazines, you can catch moments of GG having English interactions with many people at those events. One of my absolute favorites is when he's replying to a bodyguard in a vlog when he was in Florence last year (starts at 4:08).

The bodyguard is trying to teach him how to roll his r to pronounce Florence in Italian ('Firenze') and GG says, "I can't do it." The way he says it is so damn cute, I almost died when I heard it.

Anyway, so to answer your question, GG speaks in English with Della Valle and others at those events!

I have a couple questions. First, I have a story in mind about four neurodivergent queer teenagers facing their struggles and other conflict (it's very anime inspired and also inspired by Deltarune). 2 kids are autistic and the other 2 have ADHD, although I'm thinking about one of the kids with ADHD is also autistic. One of the characters also has PTSD. I'm mainly wondering if you have any sources about writing neurodivergent characters and writing about PTSD.

Secondly, your blog really helped me learned about autism and ADHD and made more convinced that I'm most likely autistic and that my parents yelled at in past (and present) because of my autistic traits. Do you have any good sources for parents (as well as me) to learn more about autism so that they won't have a stereotypical idea of what autism is like anymore and to convince them to get me diagnosed (since I'm a minor)

Thirdly, I have a question if struggling learning grammar of your mother language can related to autism? Because I kinda suck at grammar and when I try to learn grammar rules I don't really actually learn. ( I guess that my teachers in elementary in school didn't know how to teach). I also really want to write my story and possibly get it published eventually.

Lastly, in your profile it says that you like rocks and fossils, so what's your favorite rock/mineral? Because I also like rocks and fossils.

I think the concept of your story is very interesting (even if I haven’t played Deltarune). And when it comes to PTSD, it can affect both autism and ADHD. Neurodivergent Insights has some great Venn diagrams showing the similarities and differences between the two:

If you want, you can add some of your own traits or your friend’s to the characters, which might help some.

This is difficult to answer, as I don’t know you personally and haven’t seen your home life. But I have found some sources that could possibly help:

Since people learn things at vastly different rates, some may be very good with grammar and English (it was my favorite subject and I got an associate degree in it). While others may struggle. In one study I read, it said:

The first studies on grammar and autism, published in the early 1980s, suggested that syntax isn’t a particularly big problem for children with the disorder. This work found that children with autism learn grammar in the same way that typical children do, but at a slower rate, in line with their overall developmental delay.

Since then, a couple of studies have suggested the linguistic picture is much more nuanced. For example, one study showed that children with autism don’t use correct verb tenses. Another found that they produce less complex sentences than do typical children or those with developmental delays

👀 *coughs* Anywayyys, first things first, I'm curious about the world building of this game, ik there's already alot in it. But now I can't help wondering just how populated humans are in this world? Cause alot of the buildings seem to look worn-down/covered in plants, I can imagine the human race not to be very populated, unless they r and I'm just being dumb lol. But I couldn't help wondering since there used to be dragons, and now their's the fae race, and god knows if there are any other races out there besides those two (which I'm assuming there aren't, but who knows?).

I'm also saying this because the village(?)/town(?)/city(?) that MC, mom, human LI's are in seem to be in a relatively small, secluded town area, unless they aren't(?). Idk, if there even are big 'cities', but just little, scattered, hidden/overgrown towns like MC is in.

Speaking of which, how do children even view this world? I bet their imagination must be top notch cause of humanity's history with dragons and all lol. I can imagine them little gremlins, running around pretending to be dragons lol.

✨ Human Population

so you're right in that the world of alaris isn't densely populated. there was a lot of tragedy and destruction during the great war and so as the years have gone on, nature has kinda taken over (in a healing way) which leads to the look that you see in the game. i'd say most areas in alaris are towns similar to the size of where mc and cast are located!

✨ MCs Dad

there actually is a set backstory for mc's dad. i can't give any details since it's a spoiler but will be covered in the full game! you're totally free to HC your own theory/take on MCs dad but just to be totally transparent, it may end up differing from what is shared in game. as long as you're ok with that, feel free to HC away until the game is released!

✨ Schooling System and Energy

it's all public schools in alaris! homeschooling is actually not an option because the education system helps children hone their Energy. the schooling system teaches kids on the history, giving a lot of importance to the great war, the downfall of technology, and the significance of the dragons sacrifice. and then obviously other material that we would learn irl like math, language, and extracurriculars.

the unique part of the schooling system is, like i said, kids learn how to use their Energy at school. everyone in alaris is born with some kind of Energy. it may not be very strong, but everyone has access to at least a little bit of magic. Energy usually fully manifests by the time kids enter school, which would be around 4-6. once they go to school, they'll learn what kind of Energy they have, it's uses, etc. the schooling on education is pretty heavily monitored so that central can make sure no kids pose a danger to anyone. these cases are Extremely rare though since alaris is set in a very peaceful world!

kids are definitely imaginative, but i wouldn't say Significantly More than in our own world! the main difference is probably that some of their "fantasies" are a little more accessible to them since they actually have magic!

I'd like to actually argue with a personal opinion based on a fact, and some anecdotal hypotheticals

first of all, I'm 17, a year younger than Annie in season one. I know people who are 19, 20 even. the concept of them or myself dating someone who is (not only fully developed in the brain, but) at least ten years older than ourselves-

-is gross, no? if Annie got held back at all, if she didn't drop out, if she and Jeff met in a different way, same age difference and her still in high school, one might say that is a little uncouth, one might even go so far as to say it's gross.

but, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt; make them closer in age, say Jeff is in his 20s instead of his thirties, say 25 (the lowest we can go for him to still be a lawyer). still, Annie's brain wont fully develop until she is 25, meaning Jeff will already be in his thirties by that point, if he dates her any sooner he will be dating what is medically considered an adolescent (10-24) while himself above 30. "but chrissy, chimbo, my love, you're legally an adult at age 18!" if we start bringing the law into this, the post will double in size, to make it simple, just think for a moment why that makes you legally an adult. why is a legal adult not allowed to drink? why would the United States want people who are not fully developed making decisions, and how does that affect their country? food for thought.

another benefit of the doubt! take age out of the question, just look at them as people and their experiences, not by a number! age ain't nothing number, right? like Aaliyah, right? Yeah, did you know R Kelly, the convicted sex offender, wrote that song? Crazy, right? sorry, off topic. Silly me, silly little baby brain. haha. let's look at their dynamic:

Jeff is a man who values the women he dates - rather, sleeps with - very little. "I'll be back with booty!" he sneers. does this seem like the kind of person that would think of women in the long-term? that is Jeff.

Annie on the other hand, as the boy-crazy girlish urchin she is, sees every man that comes her way as Christ incarnate. Annie is obsessive, she enrolled in nearly all of Troy's classes to get some sense that someone, anyone, no matter how bad they treat her, has to rely on her for something she knows. Annie is fresh and inexperienced, she can't say the word 'penis' because it makes her uncomfortable and squirmy. pure, untouched porcelain. so impressionable, don't you think? so untainted, virginal. looking for a father.

describing her like that makes you a bit uncomfortable, doesn't it? feels a little yucky in your tum tum?

that's because if you take away their ages, their experiences speak for themselves. Annie is young, obsessive. Jeff has more experience than her and will discard her quickly in favor of someone younger or better looking. if you're into the 'born sexy yesterday' trope, go ahead. I'm not one to stop you from doing what makes you feel good! We all know what you really want, you don't have to hide it, Humbert- sorry, Jeff. slip of the tongue. scream it loud! scream it on the rooftops, or on the streets: "I want to fuck a teenager!!" see how people look at you!

i'd just like to leave you with a personal opinion.

is the pairing of Jeff and Annie iffy and pretty gross? yes, scroll up, read this post again if you aren't convinced. at the same time, should it be removed from the show entirely because it's problematic and horrible and everyone who supports JeffAnnie is a meth-addicted pedophile who eats babies and fucks sticky flashlights with the mouthless faces of their classmates taped to the rim? while I would prefer that JeffAnnie didn't happen, yes, I just think those of you who are into this are just uneducated and stubborn. some of you, one of you in particular, i'm sure is a sweaty neckbeard with a fedora and a 4chan tripcode. but not all of you, and for that I have hope.

JeffAnnie is legal, yes. JeffAnnie is by far not the worst, too. and we, as mature half-adults, can admit that. I for one believe that you should be able to ship anything that is both legal and non-blood-related. that's the magic of fandom! enemies to lovers is one of the most popular genres! the toxicity of the relationship is not the problem, it is the predatory nature and unsavory implications that are the problem. I think the relationship as a whole is not something to be looked at with positive emotions, but I also don't believe that this type of screen representation is bad. just because something is put to screen does not mean it is acceptable. also, just to cover all my bases, it's just a matter of preference. it makes a lot of us uncomfortable to see relationships like that, especially those of us who are around Annie's age. like, imagine being her: you're fresh out of rehab and ready to start your life. this guy who is more than ten years older than you, who you think is kind of cute maybe, starts to look at you the same way. imagine having the knowledge that every time he looks at a woman he just sees a pair of tits and a vag on legs. imagine what he sees when he looks at you. imagine that guy having a conversation with your dad, they might even be closer in age than you and him. that's uncomfortable, to me at least.

Hey cas i just wanted to rant about this teacher i have lol

Okay so she's my english teacher and she's like really rude and also bad at teaching? Like she called a girl the r word in the middle of class in front of the whole class. (I wasn't there but ik someone who was) and she also like told this guy he was being fucking ridiculous and needed to get his shit together (those exact words, she said fuck and shit). She says we ask stupid questions and act like we're stupid first graders when we get confused or don't know how to answer questions. She went on this rant about how she doesn't have to be nice to us because she doesn't have to be friends with 9th graders? Like that doesn't mean she can be a bitch?

She also expects us to be in class like 3 minutes early, sat down with our notebooks (OPEN god forbid someone doesn't have their notebook open), laptops out but NOT open, pencil, and book. But still doesn't let us even pack up until she says we can leave which is alway after class is over. One time she held us back so long afterclass that multiple people missed the bus and had to take the later bus home.

This one time she asked me a question and i said i don't know (and elaborated why i was confused) and she was like no you can't sat i don't know in my class you have to THINK and then asked me the question again. So i thought for like 30 seconds (genuinely thought) and she was like you need to answer the question when i ask you

Also, this one is really weird. So we're reading this book "the best we could do" by thi bui are you familiar? If you are, you probably know it's a bit weird at times and a bit uncomfortable to talk about in class. There was this one line in it about how her parents had their first child less than 9 months after they married (We were doing partner work, and each had a different panel tell the class about). This guy asked a question about it and she was like "they had SEX before they were married, it's not that hard to understand" very loudly. When he had to present his panel with his partner he offhandedly mentioned the line and she was like no say what that means and tried to get him to say it in front of the entire class like 3 times before saying that they had sex before they were married. Then she was like you need to be comfortable discussing these things i mean i've had sex. It was just weird.

Anyway i always have had weird teachers literally half or my middle school teachers were pervs or pedos d:

Okay like...sometimes I wonder why people go into teaching if they're just gonna act like this.

I think the thing is, most of these things can be like...argued down. Like if reported, the teacher can make excuses for most of them, unfortunately. (Even though she shouldn't).

EXCEPT the r-word. Like...there's no excuse for that? So I would try to get the person who heard it to report her. Yeah, some teachers are annoyingly strict about supplies and timing and keeping you late but using the literal r-word isn't okay no matter what. And the other things about the book and all that...that's weird. I feel like she could make excuses for it but yeah, it's uncalled for.

So yeah, I would have the friend who heard that report her. That's unacceptable.

and it's not that i'm not better at some stuff than i was in my first round of PhD apps, but i've been Out Of It for a while and also i didn't get to DO an MA because of MONEY, my BELOATHED

so i feel out of the academic loop and behind and ashamed of turning in papers i wrote 3 years ago like "i promise i still have ~potential~"

and it's. embarassing? which feels very silly. life doesn't go according to plan! every reasonable person knows that! but it still feels like not being where i want to be is a stain on me and a reflection of my, like, poor planning and misplaced optimism

(and i was mostly just following the advice i was given by my mentors! so! what the fuck!)

i am really so profoundly sad i'm not doing an MA right now and it also feels like i don't have time to be sad, like, i have to get a job and go apply for grad school and that's enough energy already

but i am. really sad. i'm good at the very narrow world of being in classes and reading classical languages and writing papers! i miss that world!! it makes me mentally ill in a way that feels virtuous and worthwhile as opposed to my default state of mentally ill, where i worry about all the same things with no basis and no relief valve

and it would be super cool if applications were a one and done deal but they sure are not, because they all have different timelines on getting back to you and also some of them have Interviews (My Beloathed) and waitlists and, again, separate funding whatever

and waiting to hear if people liked you(r application) is AWFUL, it's like if the worst parts of dating (asking someone out and breaking up) keep happening for MONTHS because your (potential) partner is on the goddamn moon or something

oh and also you're asking a bunch of random adults who vaguely like you to advertise your character and accomplishments for you. as that's going on.

i wish things had worked out for me the way 2/3 recommenders were so confident they would, where i'd just...have gone straight from undergrad to a PhD and then a teaching job and been great at it forever with no problems

and they didn't! and it's not my fault they didn't, but oh boy did i feel like that

and then proceed to never ever address that feeling because. uh. Why Would I Do That

instead, like, almost all of my nuclear family members had health crises at the same time and then i started my first full time job and then i got discriminated against at my job and then my grandparents BOTH got cancer and then i got a lawyer involved and then i quit my job in one of the worst mental states i've ever been in

and then i haunted my own life for a bit. and applied for grad schools, which went fine aside from the funding. and that ate months

and then i gave up on grad school this cycle and got a shitty job and saved money and moved. and here i am! ready to faceplant on the treadmill of wanting things, yet again!

and like. even if i get what i want right now i could still fail out. i could still fuck up. i could find that actually i hate teaching (despite liking it in the contexts i've already done it). my health could fail catastrophically. or, y'know, the job market is garbage and maybe in 4-7 years i'll be applying for jobs everyone thinks i'll get that i do not get, and i have to figure something else out AGAIN because i didn't get what i wanted, again

but if i never try i'll never know.

and there is a chance--a tiny, tiny, absurdly small chance--that in a decade i'll have some nice publications and a dissertation other people liked and a teaching job and more friends and maybe some partners, maybe not, but people and the work i love doing.

and maybe if i believe in myself, if i suck it up and learn with humility and write with respect and passion and dare to be ambitious and kill my anxiety about looking stupid or saying the wrong thing to an Academic Contact and just treat older colleagues like people (more experienced, yes, cool as hell for sure, but just people), i'll get to have that future where things are hard but i'm making meaning and helping other people learn cool stuff too.

so ive mentioned before in an ask that i hc her to be a primary school teacher, specifically for younger years!!

she starts off as a teaching assistant first, considers quitting because of her father's pressure on her to become a dancer, but ends up actively defying her father and stays because of mizzen, who makes her realise the reason she wanted to teach in the first place. to help children and young people.

here are some more headcanons ab teacher!persephone!!

- everybody calls her miss price, but mizzen calls her miss persephone. she has no idea how he found out her first name and tbh she doesn't want to know, but it sticks.

- she becomes a proper teacher after training as a TA for a year, and due to her experience in multiple fields of learning (she did five a-levels, which is very uncommon, most people do 3, in english literature, dance, sociology, psychology and environmental science) she gets the role pretty quickly.

- she goes on all of the school trips for the kids even tho she hates coaches so much.

- she meets pup at her job bc he teaches the older years, and she realises they went to the same secondary school, but never really knew eachother.

- they become friends like instantly, it turns out they both have an interest in teaching english lit.

- theyr definitely staff room gossip buddies.

- pippa makes REALLY good coffee, especially for work, and the teachers always try to get on her good side so she makes them all coffee.

- she allows mizzen to stay in her office when he's feeling overwhelmed, and lets him talk to her if there's anything on his mind.

- one day she brings in her persian cat called hazel and all the students love her.

Swallow ― fun facts

so i made a post like this for Lysander/my Yuu and i since i had a lot of fun writing it, i thought i'll make them for my other OCs as well since it's a nice and low effort way to let you guys learn more about the OCs i don't talk about as much (even tho i really should). so this time: Swallow Reynard aka my Robin Hood OC aka my beloved fox boy who i think about so much yet never post about </3. enjoy!

he's actually an orphan; when his father was coming back from night shift at work, he had found tiny baby Swallow in a bag at a train station and took him home. Swallow treats his adoptive parents as his real family in every sense of the word and has no interest in trying to find his biological parents

his parents are working class people, not especially wealthy, and they live in a more rural area. he had grew up in a house full of people since beside him and his parents, a few other relatives of them live there as well (one of his grandmas, a few of his aunts/uncles, his cousins). his family is also very close with their neighbours; the place they live in is one where everyone knows eachother. it's mostly why Swallow is so community oriented

he doesn't have actual siblings but he basically treats all of his cousins as his siblings. he's the oldest kid at their house and so naturally he was always the "leader" of their little group and would always come up with what games they would play. he's also very protective over them and did get into fights with any kids who would make fun of them

despite coming from the Queendom of Roses, culturally Swallow is the fantasy equivalent of Polish — his parents are immigrants (i mean, what's a fantasy version of the UK without Polish immigrants?). they taught him a lot about the culture and they would usually speak Polish while at home, so Swallow knows the language as well (you can imagine that he says everything with rolled r <3)

also Riddle collared him once for trying to teach the first years Polish swear words LMAO

fox beastmen tend to be on the smaller side (since, you know, foxes generally aren't know for being super big animals) so he's actually the shortest person in his family

has a lot of scars all over his body — when asked about it, he will tell you many fantastic tales about how he got them while doing something cool and heroic but the truth is that they're either a result of extremely stupid accidents that happened while he was playing outside or getting into fights with other kids

he has a septum piercing and a nose percing — both were done at home with the help of his cousins (the fact that he didn't get any infection and they generally healed pretty okay is a miracle)

like Ruggie, he had worked A LOT of odd jobs around the neighbourhood to help out his family

he's actually the only person in his immediate family that has magic — his parents boast to EVERYONE about their mage son who got into a prestigious magic school <3

his signature spell, Merry Thief, allows him to walk without making a sound or casting a shadow and appropriately to the name it had manifested when he was on the run from authorities

story-wise, the Heartshackle gang would first meet him after they got kicked out of the first Unbirthday party; he was sitting outside of the dorm, because he "refused to take part in Riddle’s tyrannical ways" as he'd say it. he doesn't really do much as far as the plot goes but he does provide some exposition on Riddle’s magic and why nobody was able to stop him before (also depending on the Yuu you put in the situation, he may shamelessly flirt with them LMAO)

to the surprise of everyone, he remembers most of the Queen's rules; back in their freshman year he would learn them so he could purposefully break them to prove a point to Riddle (not that it worked in any way but it didn't stop him from trying)
