The client may ask for progress updates every 2-4 days, if not longer, should the commissionee not be in contact.

The art may take longer than the estimated time the artist gives. Should that be an issue or concern, the client must tell the artist.

In commissioning the artist, the client acknowledges that the artist is a student and that this is not the artist’s full time job, and the client should not expect the artist to be able to treat it as such.

IMAGE RIGHTS

The client may not, in any way shape or form, use the art in a commission product for NFTs, no matter how much they offer to pay the artist. Should NFTs be made of the art without consent, the client gives full consent for the artist to take legal action against them.

The client may make minor edits to the completed commission (e.g. cropping, adding text/borders, changing brightness/contrast/hue/saturation…

The client may use/reupload the commission for personal/non-commercial use, but only if proper credit to the artist and a linkback to any of the artist’s social media is provided.

If the commission includes characters that do not belong the client, additional credit to the owner(s)/creator(s) of said characters must be provided when using/reuploading for personal/non-commercial use.

The client may not use the commission for any commercial use unless discussed with the artist beforehand.

^ Should the client use the art for commercial use, provided the artist’s consent, the artist will receive an agreed-upon percentage of the sales profits.

The client MUST credit the artist for any usage of the art on any platform.

The client MUST ask the artist if they want to use their art as a reference, and proceed to credit each time the reference is used. REVISION POLICIES Once the coloring stage begins, the only major revisions permitted are details that the artist may have missed and was specified by the client in the order while the commission was still in the sketching/lineart stage (e.g. a missing tattoo that’s essential to the character’s design).

If the client is unsatisfied with the commission, the artist is willing to discuss and make minor edits as stated prior (e.g. adjusting colors). However, the artist will not redraw the piece and expects full payment, as the client should have specified in the sketch stage changes they wanted to be made.

The client may not hire another artist to adjust the image without the commissionee’s consent.

The artist is willing to edit the image post commission for the commissioner, but may charge a small fee depending on what is being asked of them. Upon commissioning the artist, the client automatically agrees to the terms of service provided, as it is assumed they have read them.

March is the month to celebrate women and all our contributions to history and society!

the "Historic Women"-Sweatshirt

This was i think the original idea: make some historical women in the sims and put the faces on a shirt! I did a tiny mesh edit, to make the sweatshirt a little nicer. You have the names of the women on the shirt in the white banner, and below it says "The Future is Female". Hi there, I’m not trying to be mean when I ask this, but do you have permission to use the fanart you post with your fics? I don’t see artist credits and know many Japanese artists do not like their art to be reposted, especially not without credit.

Hello lovely anon! Thank you so much for asking about art in my fics. I appreciate you starting this conversation, and am very happy to have this reopen again.

When I began my journey of writing fics, I used to use gifs already premade on this site and have them as the title image. As my interest in the characters spread further into characters not in OPLA, I began to seek out art on other platforms.

The art I use, I find on: Reddit, Pinterest, or a good ol' fashioned google search. I have asked creators on this platform for permission to use their art in fics, and have respected their wishes whether permission is given or not. So far, I have been told "no" only one time, and have respected that wish.

If you hover over the little "alt" button, that's where I paste my sources to give credit to the artists, and implore you to seek out their work and look at it for yourself. It's the little box on the left-hand side of the image (or the three dots that come up when you hover your mouse over them). I have used text links in the past to send people to their sites, but I thought the alt text box felt better: like a little watermark to send those looking for their work.

I've responded to an ask like this in the past, but I am very much open to continuing this dialogue. I am constantly learning about how to best be respectful and give credit where credit is due. I never claim this art as my own (if you've seen the art I do on here, it's lackluster to say the least), I use it to inspire the words I create.

Thank you again for opening this dialogue, I appreciate your concern and rallying to the defence of artists and creators on here.

I have been informed that this is not what the alt box is for, and am going through each post I've made with art and added links to where I've found them via collecting them from the alt box and pasting the link for easier access. I honestly thought that was what we were meant to do, and I apologise for my misunderstanding.

Hi, welcome. Commissions won't be open for a long time as I have a lot of personal life stuff to sort out first but if you would like something from me in the future, here's what I offer. Prices TBA.

Finished pieces only, I do not sell (rough) sketches. Do not give my thumbnails to another artist to finish, that's really rude! No refunds also, sorry.

I can do uncolored (black and white with no shading), grayscale (with shading), flat colors, and then flat colors with shading/rendering/etc. Willing to work with client to give them something more in-between. I also do static unanimated (.png) pixel art sometimes but I'm unsure about selling it, you can ask I guess???

Humans, MLP:FiM ponies, low-detail mecha, or anthro furries only. Not great with feral or otherwise quadrupedal characters currently but I want that to change. If you've seen me draw something though feel free to ask about it.

Please have a moodboard, a Picrew, a refsheet, or just some kind of reference for me to look at if you want me to draw an original character or your DID/OSDD alter. I don't sell character designs from scratch.

i wanted to leave this AU on a positive note but anyone who saw my other update post knows already. this is a very passionate response because i and other scene danganronpa fans have been dealing with this for over 3 years, along with general homophob!c harassment. very ironic considering this is danganronpa we’re talking about. for context, i will not be looking up anything under my au tags or anything relating to scene danganronpa again, so i will not see any of your messages or responses.

i am sick and tired of the continuous disrespect of the scene danganronpa community to my and other artists boundaries. you constantly reupload our artwork without permission, steal our designs, and illegal sell our artwork/designs, then spew some of the most vile insults when we point it out. this is an issue MULTIPLE scene DR fans have dealt with. i have absolutely no motivation or want to return to the community if you all continue to disrespect artists.

 seriously, this is the scenekid danganronpa community, why is it so awful??? i just wanted to make funny scenekid edits for fun, now im sad i ever posted my art online, and have seen other artists wish the same. i also dont even like to consider myself a scenekid anymore considering their history of platforming horrible people and just generally being pretty disgusting, but thats a whole can of worms.

thank you to all the people who were respectful. when i was still active in our little community + the scenekid DR community as a whole, it was really cool. i was super into scene fashion at the time and it was fun meeting other scenekids who liked danganronpa, and had similar HCs to mine. it was really awesome whenever i posted a new edit and someone said “hey! ive been waiting for you to do this character :)” and actually made me tear up a few times. realistically its not that big of a deal, it was just cool seeing so many people genuinely appreciate my artwork, even if it was just badly done scenekid edits of danganronpa characters. i really loved seeing people make content /inspired/ by my edits and even say they wanted to cosplay them. while i dont have those feelings anymore, it was fun while it lasted. sorry if this seems really sappy and overly serious, im not sure how to write things casually, HaHa.

1) I have accounts on various platforms (Tumblr, Twitter, Pixiv, DeviantArt, Vkontakte, Instagram, Pinterest, Weibo, Lofter, Tik-tok) so I do not approve reposts/reuploads of my art on these platforms. You can find all links here

In case you are interested in posting my art on some other platforms - DM me.

If you are too shy to DM me (but why? I don't bite) pls give proper credits ( 'credits to author' is not a proper credit :) and provide active links to Twitter or Tumblr.

2) I strongly disapprove of editing/adding filters to my art, as well as cropping them and removing watermarks. Moreover, I should say that such manipulations hurt me much more than posting without asking. Colors, tones, contrast are all parts of my art, I spend hours creating a piece of art I have in my head and when I see my pic edited, I consider it disrespectful handling =(

3) I hope it goes without saying, anywayI do not approve commercial use of my art or any parts of it, as well as mass reprinting and selling prints.

However fell free to print my art for personal non-profit use.

4) You can use my art as profile pics and covers on your social nets. Tag me if possible :)

5) I don't approve of editing my arts into other ships (there was the case of editing my arts into NejiTen, lol) - it doesn't hurt me, but I think it's a childish behavior. If you want an art with your fav ship - look for this ship art or order a commission or donate to an artist that draws your fav ship so that they can draw more. Or at least like/comment on their art to encourage them.

In case you do such a silly thing bc you...I don't know...want to share it with your friends in private chats - keep it private and make sure your 'art' won't leak to the Internet.

6) Fanfic covers: my general position is that I do not approve some tropes in NejiHina fanfiction, such as Neji treating Hinata disrespectfully, romanticizing of verbal and physical abuse, r_pe, excessive violence between Neji and Hinata, so I do not want my art be associated with such things and fanfics.

If you want you use my art for your fanfic cover and your fic DOESN'T include any things mentioned above - DM me. Btw I would be grateful if you share your fic with me, I’m reading NejiHina fics from time to time and I think it is important for creators to support and encourage each other =)

7) Tik-tok videos/AMVs -you can use my art providing proper credits.

8) In case you are reading this years/decades after I wrote it and there are no updates on my accs for years - feel free to repost my art with credits. I was in the fandom in 2006 and I returned to it in 2021 and I see that many creators from the past are not in the fandom anymore for some reasons. But I think it is important to keep their art alive by posting, spreading and not forgetting it. Respectful handling is essential. Art is immortal.

Hey friendo! Got a question for ya!

What's your opinion on Crankgameplays Twitter post where he states that people who make edits using Video or Screenshots of his content can't claim it as their own or ask people to not reupload it because it's just people slapping a filter over it? Jacksepticeye agreed with him as well. (No hate to Jack but he said something similar when he took over Ego Art week and said he wanted to see "Real Art" not digital edits of his content.)

They are saying that if you use a Video/Photo of them as the base to whatever you create you can't claim it!

Spend hour's Photoshoping a picture with custom brushes and effects? Nope! Not real art! Anyone can use it!

Take a few days and create a Video Edit from one of their uploads where you cut and splice scenes together while adding effects to the Audio and Visuals? Yeah no. That's not yours either and you can't tell people they arn't allowed to take it and repost it without credit!

Same with making Meme templates.. No one has to credit you because you are using a Screenshot of their content so it dosen't belong to you!

I think this subject is really tricky. And I've been thinking about it since Ethan tweeted it. I can understand from Ethan's point of view where he is coming from. But I think there is a lot of nuance to it. What point can you say an image has been transformed enough for the editor to also claim it as their own? I do agree that slapping your watermark on an unedited screenshot is ridiculous. And for me, I understand the gifs I make originate from someone else. So I always credit so people know which video I made the gif from. Personally, for me, if I made a simple gif that is low effort then yes, I get what people are saying. But some gifs I make are in my opinion different enough and took way more effort.

Like this one for example:

I had a person on twitter say if I make gifs without a youtuber's permission, I am stealing. First of all, no. Second of all, I make gifs as a way to interact with the community and be a part of it. Then I thought, maybe that's what a lot of people are doing when they slap on a watermark on a screenshot. Even if you wouldn't do something, if it isn't hurting anyone, leave it alone. Who knows, they might be a kid who doesn't know any better. And after awhile, they'll grow out of it. I'm not sure.

I'm afraid after Ethan's tweet, people will go out of their way to harass those who do this. As long as most people understand that the content belongs to the Youtuber. Like I said this is a tricky situation. But personally for me, I'm not going to be making any gifs of Ethan. At least for now. I am not sure if he is okay with it and I am not going to be putting effort into something just for others to say I had no part in making it. His tweet was only mentioning screenshots but I don't want to risk it. Also I'd like to mention, Mark has credited me on a few occasions so that's something!
