Did you know that if your insurance provides you a CPAP machine the medical supplier charges monthly payments until the machine is paid off, such that if coverage lapses before the machine is wholly paid off, the customer must make the payments?

"Hey, Coordinated Care Organization, I had a lapse in Medicaid coverage during which I had trouble paying for my CPAP machine. Since Medicaid covers the CPAP machine, can the supplier send you a bill for the back-payments for this service that you cover?"

STOP SHARING THIS TWEET.

This is 99.99% likely to be fake. As someone who works in the anime industry, let me tell you why.

This has been sent to me dozens of times over the past few days, and it's pretty obvious to me that it's fake.

I work in the anime industry. Here's why I don't put any stock in this "official" announcement at all.

1. THE 'SOURCE' IS A TOTAL RANDO

The source is a random Twitter/X account. It isn't a studio or licensor. It's not even one of the "reputable" leakers. It's just some random person making a claim with zero backing and slapping the words "official" and "confirmed" on it.

Accurate leaks have happened, but they're usually accompanied by some kind of source claim (a leaked press release, a leak within the company, etc.) and a claim that an announcement is coming soon. This has nothing. This is just a random person saying shit for clicks.

Every one of their posts has "FOLLOW FORE MORE" in a subtweet. They're just farming for followers. The rest of the account is just random anime edits and posts + promotions for a discord they run.

I could literally write anything in a tweet and slap "OFFICIAL, CONFIRMED" on it, but if you see those words, you need to be asking, "Who confirmed it? What makes this official?" And in this case, it's NOTHING and NOBODY in the world of anime.

Media literacy, folks. It applies to Twitter/X. It ESPECIALLY applies to Twitter/X.

2. THIS 'SOURCE' DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE ANIME INDUSTRY

"Studio has not been announced" is a WILD thing to suggest here, because YYH's rights are LITERALLY OWNED BY AN ANIME STUDIO. Studio Pierrot is still a license-holder for this IP, and it would be weird as hell for them to not handle a remake.

(Also, "studio not announced"... NOTHING has been announced. The wording here is very sneaky, as it implies an announcement was made but the studio was just left out of it. If an announcement had been made, it would be Pierrot/the studio/Shueisha doing it.)

Not only has Pierrot made animated content for the series as recently as the 2018 OVAs, their copyright info is on literally every piece of YYH merch being produced this year (alongside Shueisha and Togashi). They still have some rights. They (in part) hold the IP. They still make art for it. They will be the studio for any remake unless they willingly let go of that license. Considering they're still making money off of it through merch sales and the liveaction adaptation (tho that's another can of licensing worms we could discuss), that's highly, HIGHLY unlikely.

The likelihood of Pierrot letting some other studio handle the remake is very, VERY slim. It's one of their hallmark, legendary series. Why would they ever let that go to a competitor?

The "studio hasn't been confirmed" bit tells me this person doesn't know who actually owns the rights to YYH, and when they don't even know that basic piece of information, it puts everything else they say into question.

3. THE TIMING IS SUSPICIOUS

Anime series are in production long before they air. How long in advance depends on the project. You can't keep a lid on a high profile project for an extended period. For big projects, studios want to start the hype train sooner rather than later. (Obviously there are exceptions to this (see the Fruits Basket remake) but we'll get to that later.)

This tweet claims the project is coming out in 2024. We are at the VERY TAIL END of 2023. It is basically 2024 already. That tweet isn't an official announcement (despite the word "official" on it), which means the studio/license holder would have to announce it even LATER than this tweet did. The latest anime seasonals begin airing in Q4/October/the Fall Simulcast season. That gives Pierrot less than a year of lead-up time to market the anime before its latest possible air date in 2024, and for this particular property, that does not seem realistic OR wise.

Let's examine Pierrot's recent treatment of the latest Bleach installment as evidence. They announced the project in March 2020 via a livestream event. They began airing the project in October 2022, MORE THAN TWO YEARS LATER. That gave them two years to market the series.

YYH, like Bleach, is one of Pierrot's hallmarks. The idea that they'd give it less than a year of marketing is just not realistic. They'd likely give it the same kind of treatment as the new Bleach arc, given it's one of their past tentpole titles getting revived.

(Also note that Pierrot animated the new Bleach installments after years of no new Bleach. They didn't let go of those rights. They held on and made more content later. Now apply that logic to YYH, and arrive again at: To suggest another studio would handle a new series is farfetched.)

If the tweet had said the series was dropping in 2025 or later, it would be much more believable. But the details they gave, again, discredit their claims from the jump.

If a new YYH was coming out in 2024, btw, the series would already be well underway and likely have been in production behind the scenes for quite some time. They probably would've announced it last year if they intended a 2024 release.

4. THE LIVEACTION OF IT ALL

A liveaction adaptation for YYH is about to drop (December 14 on Netflix).

I can already hear the argument of, "Oh, well maybe they'll announce a new anime for 2024 when the liveaction comes out," and while that might be a possibility, I think there's another, far more likely alternative.

If the liveaction does well and the license holders make a fuckton of money on it, or if they at least see a large resurgence in interest in the IP, THEN I think the license holders/anime production committee would start thinking about a new anime adaptation to cash in on that interest. But I do not see them making that decision before the streaming numbers for the liveaction come in, and I do NOT see them working on the anime before the liveaction has even aired.

The anime world moves slowly. The execs and committees behind the scenes like numbers and sales figures. If they see good numbers, balls might start rolling. But it's unlikely they're already in production NOW, let alone far enough into production to support a 2024 release for a remake.

If the Netflix show gets the ball rolling on a new YYH anime, that anime won't come out in 2024. There just isn't time.

And I can now hear some muttering the argument of, "Oh, well they probably just held the news to time it with the liveaction," but see again their habit of announcing projects with lots of lead-up marketing time.

CONCLUSION: THIS SEEMS FAKE.

BUT...

Given the details above and the COMPLETE LACK OF EVIDENCE supplied by the tweet, I do not expect we'll get an ACTUAL "official, confirmed" announcement for a remake anytime soon.

In the event that I'm wrong, what I'd predict is the announcement of a remake (one made by ACTUAL official sources, AKA Pierrot and Shuiesha) sometime in Q1 or Q2 2024. Pierrot would be the studio, and the project would be slated for late 2025, or even more likely, sometime in 2026. (And yes, projects slated for 2026 and later are in the works right now.)

I think the above is a longshot, but it's possible. The timing suggested in the tweet everyone is sharing isn't realistic at all, however.

Long story short:

DO NOT TRUST RANDOM TWITTER ACCOUNTS.

ANYONE CAN SAY "OFFICIAL" or "CONFIRMED"

Life wasn't easy living in the streets of the Snezhnaya, land of the Cryo Archon. From a young age, I remember begging on the streets for money in the frigid winter morning, just enough so I could buy a singular piece of bread. I remember sitting around poor excuses of campfires, trying desperately to keep warm. I know it's futile with the heavy winds and continuous snowstorms, but what else was I to do? Rats littered these alleyways, at least the few that were able to survive the harsh cold. Some were a stable source of food, but chasing them was a tiring pain. My hair grew long and shaggy, making me almost unrecognizable. Dirt stayed frozen to my body even on the warmest days of the year. Her Majesty, the Tsaritsa, hasn't been very kind towards people like me. Years passed by, this life was all I knew. It's all I did...survive. Age does matter, people are less likely to pity a grown adult over a child. It's crazy how ostracized you become the more time goes on. I saw the clubs and brothels hidden in the deepest nooks and crannies of the city. I needed to do something for money. Late nights I spent dancing for others amusement. Mornings I spent begging on the streets. I was paid well, but there were hardly any benefits. From time to time I'd notice a stranger standing in the corner. Dark hair and piercing eyes. His attire screamed "expensive". I paid little mind to it then, but if only I knew then what I know now. There was a man dressed in the finest silks, fingers bedazzled with the finest jewels. His rings alone could cost more than most people's make in a year. It was surely more than I had ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes upon. He was well groomed, smelled quite divine. I remember him dropping some Mora in my jar and giving me a smile.

Whether out of pity or self-righteousness, I'm not sure.

"Sir! W-Wait!" I shouted at the man dressed in dark purples and shining silvers. He paused in his tracks, turning around to look down at me. Me, down on the floor beneath him, subconsciously crawling in his direction.

"Sir, please." I outstretched my cup, the one had just filled with a few Mora. "Please." My voice was shaky, my hand jittery and freezing from the cold, my eyes stinging from the cold and the fresh drops of tears. Slowly, he walked back in my direction, in little hurry, standing before my pitiful position down on the floor. "Are you alone?" He asked, eyes shining behind the frame of his glasses. I nodded in response. He seemed to scan the area a bit, smile drooping for a second, before his gaze focused back on me. "Quite a pity really. Such a young, beautiful person here, rotting away on the streets of Snezhnaya." My eyes only looks down at the snow covered sidewalk, glancing at his shoes, shined to perfection. There was a pause, I could feel his eyes staring at me beneath him, a rapid gust of wind being the only sound between us. "Why don't you come with me, dear?" "What?" I stood up, staring at him in disbelief. "My mansion isn't far, why don't you come and spend the night? Get yourself something to eat and warm up near the fire. A snowstorm is coming into the area soon, surely you'd rather be inside than out here in its wake." "Yes! Yes please!" Immediately I scampered to my corner, attempting to grab together my small amount of possessions and personal items. "That won't be necessary." He said. "You won't be needing that where we're going."

The mansion, grandiose in nature, stood out in the Snezhnayan community. Its presence demanded your attention regardless of social standing and wealth. It was this mansion that became my new home. Maids tended to my every need. Upon arrival, they would run me a hot bath. One would wash my body while another would wash my hair. Finally after years, I was able to have it cut and style to my wishes, a luxury I never once had before. My closet was the size of a master bedroom, filled with outfits of various styles just waiting to be worn. "Thank you." I told the man, Pantalone of the 11 Fatui Harbingers. ~~ (Extension of the unfinished ending) "Why don't you pick something nice for yourself, my dear?" He told me, handing me his personal credit card. "But sir-" "This meeting will take a while. Go ahead and entertain yourself in the meantime. I'll send maids to fetch you once I'm done."

how did you first get into making this stuff? do you enjoy it?

There's a lot of possible answers here.

For a couple years after college, I worked at a laser engraving and cutting shop. Leather was a material we knew we could cut, but nobody ever asked for it, so I looked up some basic info and put together some masks as demo pieces. Then I got fired for unrelated reasons, but decided to keep going with the masks on my own. A decade later, I’m still going.

I've always enjoyed making things. The focused calm of working a craft, the challenge of finding the problems that need solving, followed by the satisfaction of holding in your hands something that hadn't exited before. It���s hard to beat that feeling. If you haven’t done it for a while, I highly recommend making a habit of it.

Sometime in college I realized that if I kept making things just for myself, I would eventually run out of both space in my closet and money in my bank account. So I took the best photos I could of what I had, and started posting it up on Etsy.

In high school ceramics class, I had an idea to try and make a flexible dragon skin out of little bits of clay, all glazed differently. I had no idea how to do this. A friend of mine was like "Yo it sounds like you want to look up how to make chainmail for that." She was right.

I work in architecture by day, and the decision to do that was unrelated but definitely related to my crafting obsession. Designing a kitchen, a café, a house, takes months or years of work, most of which is tedious details like picking tile patterns or looking up exactly what order to layer different sealant tapes to make sure the walls are watertight. Designing a crafting project gives me a creative outlet that is immediate. I can sit down for an afternoon and take an idea from a sketch on trace paper, to a final mask formed up out of leather. There's an excitement to that. A reminder that, yes, I can make cool stuff quickly, without needing to sink two years into a project.

For a while I worked to teach myself to draw. I managed to get pretty decent at sketching from life, with a moderate understanding of anatomy and perspective. I liked art, so I thought I wanted to make art. But I struggled with it. If I was drawing something from my imagination, no matter how well I managed to put the lines down on the paper, I would ultimately look at it and just be sad that it didn't exist in the real world. So eventually I gave up on the drawing part, and focused on the part I seemed to actually care about.

I can't envision a version of myself that doesn't make things. I think on some fundamental level, I measure my worth as a person based on what I put forth into the world. I don't know what else to do.

When you decide to turn a hobby into a business, it of course takes some of the delight away. It's no longer something you do when you want to relax and have some fun. It becomes an obligation, to make and ship orders on time, to pack up your stuff and bring it to craft fairs, to track your expenses and file your taxes, to stay on top of the constantly changing social media landscape. But it also lights a fire under your ass. You can't just keep making the same thing you made three years ago–you have to keep making new stuff, keep improving your techniques, keep reaching for new ideas that have never been made before. You lose some of the joy, but you gain a lot of satisfaction.

All through my childhood I filled my closet with little handicrafts kits, that I got as gifts or that caught my eye when following my dad to the art store. Calligraphy, wood carving, weaving looms, boondoggles, spirographs, knitting, crochet, fancy nautical knots, sculpey, and more that I can't remember. After all those different things, I’m so glad that I found a couple specific crafts that really grabbed me, that take enough work to develop expertise, that have expansive enough applications and possibilities, that I could devote a decade or more of my time to focusing on them.

I’d been interested in the furry fandom ever since little fantasy reading teenager me tried looking for stories where the dragons were the main characters, and I found people online who were doing just that. There’s a powerful do-it-yourself attitude that’s baked into the core of the fandom: The world isn’t giving us the art that we want, so we’re going to make it ourselves. I keep having ideas for things that I want, that don’t exist yet. If I want them to exist, I have to be the one to make them.

My dad was a photographer, and I spent many childhood afternoons with him in his darkroom in the basement, delightedly washing negatives, turning them gently over in their canisters of chemicals, sitting still in the dark as Dad unspooled the sensitive film, squinting in the red light as the projected images magically re-emerged on the clean white paper. What could be more amazing, more normal, more right, than having your own little space to work such magic for yourself.

In about 2008 or 9 I ordered my first batch of metal scales, with the idea of trying to make a dragon tail in time for Halloween. It took probably a couple weeks to figure out how to make it, and within a week I had thought of how to do it better and disassembled the entire thing. By the 3rd or 4th time I'd rebuilt it, I thought that it was probably good enough that I wouldn't feel embarrassed to post it online and see if someone might want to buy it.

Of course I love working on these things I make. But I don't think that's exactly why I make them.

That person Nintendo went after was genuinely a very very bad and exploitative scammer, some reblogs on that post go into it in detail including how taking a portion of wages is a standard way to collect fines that cannot be immediately paid in full. I dont feel bad that he received legal action, but considering the total fine is so large he might have his wages taken from for life, I do feel like Nintendo is overreaching to scare others into not trying the same thing. Which I think is a really dumb and dystopian "we have the money to fuck this one guy up real bad so you better not try the same" situation that makes me think less of the company, a company I already disliked.

Bit of a meaningless ask, sorry, just saw a lot of people thinking he was some innocent modder and Nintendo was big and evil and scary, but really Nintendo just really screwed over one bad guy way more than was necessary and it was a gross misuse of power to scare others into not messing with them. No harm meant by this, just wanted to say this to someone, if you feel differently I'd like to hear about it

First off, yes, the story is more nuanced but Nintendo still comes out the villain with how insanely severe the punishment is. Second off, this isn't a single instance, Nintendo has a long and disgusting history of fucking over fans and creators. They are a built-for-profit corporation which does everything in its power to earn more and more each year, no matter what. It has been repeatedly proven that things like piracy and fan games don't really hurt sales, and for Nintendo to crack down on it again and again shows their disregard for the consumers beyond how much money they can extract from us. This should be taken as a harsh reminder of that if nothing else. The same goes for every other corporation, but Nintendo gets away with it the most because people are blinded by nostalgia goggles and the like.

To go more in-depth, Gary Bowser wasn't a "scammer". He ran a company that made pirating hardware for consoles, including the Nintendo Switch. Their products allowed you to run pirated and homebrew software. There wasn't any scamming there, the products functioned as advertised. The problem was that they contained DRM protection, preventing others from copying the software's code. Using an unofficial cartridge would lead to bricking the console, which is definitely hypocritical. It was also faulty and could, unintentionally trigger even in the original cartridges on rare occasions when you messed with settings too much for example. So yes, that is bad, BUT obviously Nintendo doesn't give a shit about that. All they care about is that someone used a Nintendo product or IP in a fashion which they did not ordain, profit or not, and they once again acted with extreme prejudice. It's highly likely that Gary Bowser will never, ever be able to repay the massive debt to Nintendo before his death, especially considering his poor health and age will make it hard for him on the job market in general. And there is no way Nintendo's lawyers didn't realise this, it isn't to recuperate any supposed losses. It is, as you say, a scare tactic, because Nintendo's higher ups care that much more about their money-making products over a human life which they have, effectively, destroyed. Well I completely disagree with you. While sharing every single full video would be wrong, sharing smth small is literally not a big deal and it’s nobody’s waste of money. If anything it can even invite someone to that website, if they find the clip interesting.

With that being said. Snc whole brand is surrounded by them making money out of everything. Merch, videos, main channel, react channel, website etc etc. it really won’t hurt their wallets or anyone else’s if someone shares a 15 seconds clip from their website. People are anyway still signing for it, moreover the clip can as i said bring some new people (usually people do not like pay money for something blindly, so in a way those people helps them advertise it… and let’s face it… that members is not cheap), nobody will loose their money that they invested in that website, just bc some user4729$3 decided to share a few seconds clip from xplore. I preordered 3 full sets (THH, SDR2, and V3) to collect my favorite characters and will be left with 39 extra characters. Because of that, I put together a box split/sales post in the hopes of getting rid of the extra!

I'm charging $8 USD for each keychain + shipping ($6) and taking payments via PayPal and Venmo. Photo cards will also be available for reservation (keep reading for more info).

Preorders are expected to release/ship out sometime in February 2024. I'll start sorting/packing when they get to me.

I'm located in the US so I'll only be selling/shipping domestically. :0 I don't know how much shipping to other countries would cost and it makes me a bit nervous to deal with that so I'd rather not attempt anything. I'm sorry.

Why are you doing this? (And why should I trust you?)

I think it's a pretty good deal for everyone! You get the exact keychain you want for a decent price, you help me (not really) break even, and I don't have to own 48 keychains. Hunting for merch can be difficult/pricey, plus I've always wanted to organize a box split. I'm pretty much selling these at a loss but I think it's worth it even if just one person gets what they want! If these don't sell here or on Mercari I'm most likely gonna pass them out for free at our local anime convention next year.

As for trusting me - I understand if you don't or are nervous. I really am just some dude on the internet. Okay so you've made it this far -

How does this work?

Well! This is my first time doing this so the main post is mostly based off of how shsl-box-split runs their splits (+ throw a bit of Harpys_ on IG in there too). They're both incredibly wonderful and friendly so I highly suggest checking them out!

I am one person doing this alone so please be patient with me during this process. Basically, it'll go something like this:

Decide on what keychain(s) you want + what photo cards you'd like to try for.

Send me an ask containing which characters you want (I will not post your message, it's just to help me see who claimed what first!) as well as your preferred payment method (Paypal or Venmo). Claims are first come, first served.

I'll DM you to confirm your claims, total, and send either a link to my Paypal or my Venmo username. Please do not claim keychains if you cannot immediately pay for them.

After payment is received, I will update the split post with your username and log down relevant information into a separate spreadsheet. At this time you are free to send me your shipping address (recommended) or wait to send it at a later time.

We time travel wait for the February 2024 release date!

Shortly after the keychains get to me in February, I will begin sorting and packing. Before sending anything out, I will message you one last time to confirm that your claims and address are correct (or ask for your address if you haven't already sent it).

I send off your package using USPS! It arrives at your mailbox! Boom, transaction complete! :D

About photo cards...

Each set comes with one random photo card. Every character will have 3 slots and you are allowed to reserve one photo card for every keychain purchased. Reserving a photo card does not guarantee that you will receive one. Some examples: You buy one 1 keychain and reserve a Hajime photo card - if any of the sets come with Hajime, he's yours! You're the last (third) person to reserve Hajime's photo card. You will only get him if - by some miracle - all three bonus cards are revealed to be Hajime. You claim Hajime, but the photo cards are of Makoto, Kaede, and Shuichi. You will not receive a photo card with your order. Your best bet is to reserve characters that don't already have reservations or to reserve different characters (if purchasing multiple keychains). I don't think there'll be duplicates, but for the sake of covering all bases, 15 slots are available for reserving photo cards.

This split will be open until the sets arrive at my door. If you need to pull out of the split, please, do not contact/start a dispute with Paypal or Venmo. Let me know what's up and I will send back your money. No shame, no judgement.

hi i was reading the post about the book! and i was wondering do you recommend or know any books about divination? or maybe books that are open to male witches?

i honestly only do divination (tarot, oracle cards, pendulums, runes, etc) and some sigils or charms here and there so most of the beginners books have a lot of spells and things that i just dont practice?

and also im trans and sometimes books assume the reader goes by she/her pronouns? and it can be a bit difficult to read through those being constantly misgendered

As for book requests, if you're looking for info on divination but want to avoid books that are filled with spells and such, you have a few options:

Look past the spells, don't feel pressure to do spells just cuz there are spells in your books. Practice your magic however you like <: Btw, if not wanting to spend money on books that you'll only read parts of is the issue then I highly suggest checking out online libraries or popping over to your local library!

Look online. There are dozens of great sources for learning divination online that don't even require reading books. I honestly learned most of my divination from online sources as well as leaning on my intuition.

Book rec: As far as tarot, I love the book Tarot: Connect With Yourself, Develop Your Intuition, Live Mindfully by Tina Gong!

Oracle cards are a bit easier because they come with their own booklet most of the time. If you want to try connecting with your cards and you have the energy to do so, go through your deck and give the oracle cards their meanings based on your personal correspondence.

As for runes and pendulums, I don't practice these so I can't really say. Though I'm sure there are online resources for these as well that are just as good!

I'm also trans (he/him) as are most of my friends who practice witchcraft and almost none of them use she/her pronouns. So basically, I feel you, bro.

Any book written for witches, regardless of the pronouns the author assigns to the reader, should be open to male witches as well. There may be a scant few that are strictly for women but those are likely ones you wanna stay away from anyways (they can be TERFy sometimes).

The best books, in my opinion, don't assign the reader a gender. Those that do are still fine to read, you may just have to push past them and understand that the author is probably using those pronouns as a reflection of themselves; they are the ones writing the book after all. So know that they are not trying to misgender you, they are likely projecting their own experiences onto the reader. Your concern is still valid, obviously, it gets incredibly tiring to always see witchy or magical stuff marketed solely toward women. (,:

This is something the witchy community seems to be working on, though, as the recent books I've read don't add gender into the book or they bounce around with pronouns which is still a step in the right direction!

Probably not actually trafficking but DEFINITELY a scam. Any "job offer" advertisement that doesn't tell you what you'll be doing and/or promises kittens and rainbows and overly generous pay IS A SCAM. They don't all target teens, plenty just target anyone desperate for a job. Many are mlm scams and want you to recruit friends to make money. Some will ask just you for money at some point in the application process (any "job" that does this RUN) and then ghost you.

Outright fake job scams for ID or money theft are incredibly common. Red flags to watch for:

-Work from home for short hours and unusually high pay (if it sounds too good to be true it is)

- Asks you to download a messaging app for the interview, no face to face video interview, hires you on the spot.

- Then they tell you that you have to accept immediately and give them personal information like SS# and banking info. Time pressure is a key scammer tactic.

- Sends you a check before you've done any work, ESPECIALLY if that's an overpayment and they want to you send money back immediately (the check is fake, it will bounce).

-Wants you to accept and re-ship packages as a "shipping" or "logistics" position. These are cons that usually involve stolen goods and you are unlikely to ever be paid.

A few will move you to a city where you're housed someplace shitty with other employees and kept dependent and working for them out of desperation, doing something like door to door sales or house cleaning, all "legal" and highly exploitative.

Before giving any potential employer your banking info or accepting a job, look them up on the internet. Does the company actually exist? Does the person you're interviewing with actually work there? Are they advertising jobs that fit what you're applying for, and does the salary and benefits You've been promised match up? If it seems fishy AT ALL, trust that instinct.

Because unfortunately job scams are incredibly common.

Ok! Character Info Dump Time!!!

I've had these guys rattling around in my brain and marinading in daydreams for a while now so I've decided to officially give them spots in the scrimblo roster.

First three are togther! The first two are actually even closer togther than the third one. Idk I just made them and ended up also giving them dynamics with eachother.

Warhawk <- placeholder name but I might make it a moniker she often is known by by others. I was also thinking Kaylus for her name cuz it means "troublemaker" but I'm still unsure... ) She's a highly intelligent highly skilled indivdual who goes around stirring up conflict between factions, be it by stealing important items, instigating gang wars/fights etc. I haven't decided why exactly she does this yet? But I was thinking she just does it out of bordem, becuase she's some sort of guns for hire, or becuase she just enjoys the rush of adrenilin that she gets from it all. Perhaps it's a mixture of all three. She's very much not a morall person though. Personalitywise, she's very level headed and calm most of the time, at least she is compared to her sole companion who's up next.

Weapons Dealer <- ALSO a placeholder name. Weapons Dealer is much more chaotic than her cooler counterpart. And by chaotic I mean absolutely unhinged. She has a very vibrant and animated personality unlike Warhawk and always has a bright smile and a wild look in her eyes. I've got more of an idea of how she looks unlike Warhawk. Her palletes gonna have a LOT of pink in it cuz idk it just fits her in my head. Like her hairs gonna be all pink. She has a very big passion for weaponry and LOVES designing them. She doesn't care too much about money. All she cares about is her employers lending her the necessary resources to create her massive weapons of mass destruction. She just wants to blow shit up. That's it. This is why she sticks around Warhawk; because, as she puts it, "She lets me do whatever I want"

This is entirely what Warhawk and Weapons Dealer's partnership is based off of. They find eachother equally useful. Weapons Dealer provides Warhawk with very useful and effective weaponry, and Warhawk provides many oppertinities and chances to build and test out her creations on whatever Warhawk's next target is. Easy to say, they are both walking a very fine line between chaotic neutral and chaotic evil. idk man I just wanted to make characters that are agents of chaos with zero morals ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Beastcharmer <- placeholder name~ I was thinking maybe Faunia for a name but idk yet Beastcharmer has the ability to befriend any sort of creature, regardless of how hostile they are. She's just very friendshaped to them I guess. She's also got a pet mimic named Nym who spends a majority of her time coiled around Beastcharmer's neck as a scarf(Nym can only change into inanimate objects). Now THIS is where things get interesting. Unlike the last two, Beastcharmer actually has morals. She's much more gentle than they both are and serves as their temporary moral compass. I say temporary because Beastcharmer is classified as a Heightened in their "world".

(I forget if I've ever talked about "The Inbetween City" <- placed holder name number 4 here before. I'm only gonna talk about the parts that are relevent to these characters in this post though so I guess if anyone is really interested enough about it, they can ask. Other than that, im skimming over this.)

So it's very dangerous to associate with a Heightened in the inbetween city since they are seen as incredibly valuable to a certain powerful party that oversees the city in its entirety. I don't really have a name for them so I call them HQ in the meantime. HQ has no quarrel in harming citizens that get inbetween them and their retrieval of Heighteneds so both Warhawk and Weapons Dealer are fully prepared to ditch Beastcharmer if she were to ever end up on the HQ's radar and become a target. Beastcharmer's abilities are concealable though so she's undetectable at the moment. Warhawk and Weapons Dealer think Beastcharmer doesn't know about this failsafe plan, but she in fact does. Why she continues to follow them regardless of this, she doesn't really know.

That's all I got for now. I've actually got one more character to talk about but I don't wanna make this post too long...

TW for ACTUAL Mentions of animal abuse and the dark reality of pet stores

TW LONG I'm sorry but this is a rant :(

To the people recommend in the discord that chesireJestsire releases the frog and buys a frog from the store:

Petsites by default. Are shit. Most source their animals unethically, either buying wild caught anyways anyways, or buying from and supporting mills. Even the better ones are guilty of this. Adopt not shop people! Both Petco and PetSmart are also known for literally throwing out animals to literally die. Releasing a Toad just to buy one at a company chain store that on record supports abuse and partakes in abuse is kinda a worse decesion.

Not to mention, they literally will encourage their employees to give out blantently false info on animal care, and sell unethical pet cages, "tanks" etc. ESPECIALLY in the small animals (Birds, Fish, Reptiles, Rodents, etc.) department. It Isn't doesn't help that most of the people are shop there either don't care enough to actually fact check their claims, or if they are in the know about how shitty pet stores are in general (yes even the better ones) they always have an UwU savoir complex thinking by buying an animal from them their somehow saving it as if store doestn actually care about them or the animal and just wants the money.

At the end of the day, pet stores are literally companies that sell animal products and see animals as products and not living creatures. They literally even partake in rainbow marketing "pride".

And on top of that it's generally unwise to ship small animals in the mail, their highly at risk and easily prone to getting hurt, as the mail carriers will not give two shits if the mail that's alive dies by the time it gets to the new owner, and that's informing the potential of the animal getting lost in the mail, stolen, etc. It's not a plushie you can just buy, and if it doesn't arrive you can just replace it with another.

Not to mention the reptile scene itself is also generally rife with people who like to unethically breed reptiles just because it gets them money and popularity on TikTok or whatever. Their are TONS of even controversy amongst the reptile and amphibian community because of this, whether over breeding or even owning certain morphs, species, etc. Their is plenty of people who will ignore ethics just to have an rare endangered animal for clicks and views, or will abuse animals for clicks and views.

What did CJ do again? Capture an common, nonendagered local species and ... (checking the discord) Give it a proper size tank, water, actual dirt, moss, and even actual foliage etc. with the only obviously store bought things being that hiding log, water bowl, tank, and maybe that larger stick but most def the moss wrapped around it. Tbh that looks like a really decent set up, looks like they know what their doing- which is also what they literally said, that this isn't their first frog and they've kept Lemon Toads/Common American toads before.

So to those saying you HAVE to be an professional in the discord to capture wild animals to keep as pets... they seem to be one, and if not, they seem to be well versed than most on what their doing. Additional, in several states it's actually legal to keep wild caught frogs, turtles and similar animals as pets, so legally you do NOT have to be a professional, but it's better you actually know what your doing.

So please if any one is gonna keep any animal wild or not. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do you research from as many sources as you can, as some myths as frogs give people warts is still being passed off as true on some sites. If you get from a breeder make sure their not a mill, and if possible try to meet the breeder in person to receive the animal and don't risk the mail services! Also, keep an eye out for the local law on animal species, as some species are infact illegal to keep as pets even if they don't seem like they are or should be. If permits are needed, get them, as well as proper medical documents and approvals.

Though credit is where credit is due: at least you care about an actual potential issue than the people complain about goats with eyelashes. Those guys need to go touch seem grass. Maybe take a hike and nature watch or if they don't have a park nearby watch a nature documentary, YouTube has some good ones for free, just saying. I recommend Ant Canada unless you don't like bugs or specifically ants and cock roaches.

Full disclosure: haven't run or created a zine (it is a future project endeavor), but I have seen enough zines either crash or burn or have blunders that made me lose interest in supporting them.

Like olderthannetfic said: put someone competent + trustworthy in charge of your zine's finances. I've seen enough horror stories of zine mods discovering that the person in charge of finances for their zine was giving them doctored bank statements or had stolen all of the zine finances to spend it on gacha pulls. I'm not the biggest fan of having a finance mod (I believe if you're creating or running a zine, then you should know how to handle finances; if not well it's never too late to learn).

PR. So you're creating a zine? Great! Zines have largely transformed from the "doing this in my living room/basement with printer paper and staplers" projects. Don't get me wrong, they're still around, but with zines increasingly becoming high-production projects, with lots of contributors, extra bonus merch, and bundled tiers among other things. Zines (modern ones) have become akin to something like a pop-up business. Quite frankly, if you're running a zine that is, at any point, exchanging money for goods then it is and should be run just like any other business. And with a business (or any fandom-ish project that requires a level of professionalism and marketing) learning PR skills will save you from massive headaches down the road (how to craft a rejection/acceptance email, how to make statements when something major to the zine happens, etc.). Or at least drawing the ire of the internet and ridicule when neither the rejected contributor or other folks can parse your poorly crafted and worded rejection email (if it takes me multiple times to read it and I still can't get it, it's an issue).

Interpersonal conflict. You might run into this, you might not. But working with contributors for a zine is like being thrown back into the days of working on group projects in high school (or college). People, who might not even like each other, have/had beef in the past with one another, are going to work together. Like I've stated, zines at this point are a professional project. I would expect contributors to at least be able to work and coexist in a discord server with one another and just work on their respective pieces. Inform contributors that all personal disagreements with one another should be left at the door (have mods step in where necessary to squash it if it isn't being squashed).

Learn indesign. I can't stress this point enough, but most zines are made in Adobe Indesign (or Affinity Publisher). If you know one you'll know the other. They're not difficult programs to learn and learning how to create a zine in Indesign is a useful skill to learn and gives your project a professional look. It's also a much better alternative than slapping your zine together in a google doc, with a solid pastel background, and very little formatting, and sending it to your contributors in a hyperlink and a self-congratulatory statement of "wow this zine came out amazing, guys!" (seeing that zine with my own eyes still haunts me to this day). Learn how to make Master Pages! I used them for every single project I've ever made in Indesign and quite frankly it cuts down on time and having to fiddle with the design of every single page. If you plan on having more than an A-master, I would highly suggest color-coordinating them!

Rapid fire tips: Have a carrd with all of your zines information (FAQ, zine timeline, that sort of thing). Having a bunch of info in one place is really helpful for potential contributors and buyers.

Here's a google doc that I've had in my bookmarks for forever that gives a very detailed rundown on creating your own zine, potential materials you might need, and far more information than I could ever cover.

Beyond that, my final tip is to have fun! This is, after all, a passion project you're finally getting to see form and come to fruition.

Sneak edit: because I knew I forgot something! But bank accounts (Paypal needs to be connected to one, or stripe or whatever) can have authorized users added to them. I'd highly recommend creating a separate/joint or even a business bank account when it comes to zine finances.

Some friends and I are thinking of making a fandom zine, and donating the proceeds to a charity (like many before us). I was wondering if you or any of your followers have any ideas/suggestions/guides for first-time zine makers?

Marking

Anyways, so basically uh where should I start-. I'll start off on why my ocs have certain marks on them. So the reason why they actually have those is to determine what family or "domain" ur in. Alpha (or spacey he goes by both) has a star mark ☆ or like a diamond almost. Now there's three ways to get that mark, 1. U make a deal with one of the 7 deadly sins, or Satan himself (idk how to spell his actual name) . 2, you were born into that family and u got the mark when u were born 3, you died but you couldn't pass on so u become a wondering spirit or you become a follower of one of the 7 deadly sins.

Now there's only 4 markings that society knows of the heart ♡ clover ♧ star ☆ and diamond ◇, we don't know the star marking all two well so we'll skip that one for now. The diamond marking ◇ is the most powerful one out of them all (like they control government, money, riches, ect) so mostly people with diamond markings will be rich and classy people it's very rare to see someone who's not rich to have a diamond marking. People with this marking tend to be pure and have innocence. The can be faithful leaders as well! (That's doesn't excuse the fact that they're very very highly dangerous:,) (Diamond: Traditionally seen as a symbol of faithfulness, love, purity, innocence and relationships filled with love)

Next is the heart ♡ , these people who have this marking aren't as powerful as ◇ but are stronger than the other two. These markings can range from people that are rich, middle class, or lower class, not much is known about these people but rumors have said that they're trying to over thrown diamonds 0_o crazy people..anyways! Similar to what the crystal rose quarts can do (It's believed among crystal healers that rose quartz can promote feelings of self-love. “Rose quartz may be used to balance emotional health, release emotional blockages, and balance other chakras,”) but they can as bring pride, lust, and danger to the people around them (if they choose too of course!). Some times when a person doesn't know how to control the powers they can make people go insane with pride. People with the heart marking tend to be more emotional and less uhm logical in some cases, they can also be very wise people :) (Scary-) ( heart: The heart is the locus of physical and spiritual being, and represents the "central wisdom of feeling as opposed to the head-wisdom of reason" It is compassion and understanding, life-giving and complex.)

The clover is the most common one out of all of them. Since it's very common it has the most info about its marking. Mostly doctors, firefighters, first responders, ect will mostly have this marking. ( people say if you have a clover mark and ur not a first responder you get free luck for eternity! ♧) (clover: The leaves of four-leaf clovers are said to stand for faith, hope, love, and luck)

Now the star ☆ marking is the one my oc has, the thing that's different about this one is that people with it can only get it through two ways. Make a deal with saten, or go through a painful ritual performed by followers under saten.(both are rlly painful but making a deal is less painful

People who typically have this are outlasted by the world or people are after them for the marking (some say that it's a Delicacy to eat the marking, gross
