Fiddled with gradient maps this time for some additional colors :D I would have colored in the eyes as well, but I didn't have enough energy left when the event hit the 47th hour xD

Also played around with camera movements. Respect to people who do fan edits and other forms of video/ assets editing 'cause keyframes are so 😭

13 hours to draft storyboard this time! Last year I used 16 but with waaay more frames idk how I accomplished that. Probably bc this year I'm drawing more than three(3) characters lmao

Progress Timeline:

I think most of the drawn parts didn't deviate from the initial idea. Mostly timing adjustments and building upon the vibes. The parts that were changed the most was the "And you caused it (×3 combo)".

Went from "vague flashbacks" to "following Etho and co. out of the cave and back to Scott's base while implying who Etho blames with single character focus shots".

The first one is Scott because he suggested the idea. Like, obviously he's to blame. It's not like Etho went along and cemented the deal himself. Scott totally peer-pressured him into it.

The second one is Etho because... well the scene ends up kind of being like. The sight of the Snow Fortress triggering a flashback. (EthosLab the content creator deliberately turned his camera towards the Snow Fortress and holds it there for a second instead of looking at the huge lava pillar right in front of him. What is WRONG with him.)

But also like. Clocks are kind of special to Bdubs right. Whoever gave him a clock basically has his (temporary) loyalty or at the least earned a favor from him. So like. If he hadn't gifted Bdubs the clock, which signifies a closer(?) bond, maybe Bdubs wouldn't be so devoted to him (wrong). Also serves as a call-back/ reference to the "Prayer-Determination" shot ("pray with clock" in the scene planning screenshot). I like to think that Bdubs weighted his options and thought about "if he will kill/ who to kill" a lot while following the other Red Names. And in that scene he's like, convincing/ motivating himself. Remembering who/ what he's doing this for.

(It is also meant to be part of my giftee's other prompt: "an exploration of the doubt one or both of them felt during the heart transfer that didn’t happen after Bdubs killed Lizzie, and the following guilt Etho felt." The Etho section starting from "we're setting fire to our inside for fun" til the end of the animatic is based on that prompt.)

After a brief period of self-blame, it's time to shift it onto someone else! Because you're in denial! If Bdubs hadn't gone red, then Etho wouldn't have to offer the deal. If Bdubs hadn't want to stay as teammates, then he wouldn't agree to the deal. If Bdubs wasn't so devoted to Etho, then he wouldn't have attacked Lizzie and gotten himself killed.

Then the animatic ends with the end of the session :D

Ti's Commissions

I'll be going by Paypal for commissions. Basically to start a commission, if I do NOT know you, you have to put a 15$ deposit. If you make sudden changes or change your mind when I am past the sketching phase, you will NOT receive a refund. The moment I start line art, you're getting what you asked for. If you refuse to pay for the finished product, I will blacklist you and you will be unable to commission me or interact with me period again. If something HAS come up and you have a REASON you cannot pay, it's two strikes and you're out.

I will try almost anything out once. If I tackle a piece and I cannot finish it cuz I bit off more than I can chew? You will get your deposit back. I will NOT be doing fetish art or any of that stuff. However, I will do tasteful nudity. I will do furries and humans, anthro and what not. I am not the BEST with feral and mech, but I will try if I think I can do it.

If a character has many details or looks like a challenge for me to draw, I may charge more. The prices below are the base price. Drawing something simple will not be the same price as drawing a very detailed character. I will DISCUSS pricing first.

For OCs, I NEED a ref, if you give me a face claim I am drawing the face claim. If you want me to design an OC, you have to pay me a WHOLE entire separate payment for it.

How my commissions go. We discuss what you want and how much it will be > You deposit the fee. >I finish a rough sketch and clean it up and I show you it. >Tell me if you want any changes or if it's good to go. >I finish it and get the rest of the payment. >I give you piece once payment goes through.

Under the read more will be my prices and examples for each piece.. For my own comfort, I do not do sketches or lineart. It never looks good to me alone. So I will be doing flat color and shading+highlights.

I will only do up to two characters per commission, they are double the price. I also only do basic backgrounds. I am NOT good with backgrounds.

PATIENCE IS KEY. You may ask about your piece and how it's coming along but please do NOT nag me. I have other art projects I wish to do and have a job.

16. What’s the most daunting part of your process? Ex, planning, sketching, lineart, rendering etc

hmm i feel like most of the time I have a plan laid out in my head or written down in my notes with very intricate detail so thats pretty smooth!! rendering is very relaxing to me and basically just smooth sailing and it’s a rather light on the brain part of the process!! I think it’d be the lineart that’s most challenging every single time since all my sketches are VERY messy and as I’ve said before I tend to make blobs for features and then work the detail in by erasing and drawing in again so making a rather smooth line while having the tendency for messiness is quite challenging!! an example below

Remaking The Animal Crossing Banner for the Subreddit 

The 24th of february I took a little challenge to improve myself: I decided I would draw one hour straight daily until Animal Crossing New Horizons released. I was going to start 50 days before the release but I kept procrastinating (and also having a lot of self doubt). One day tired of life I said to myself "SCREW IT LET'S DO THIS" it was some sort of coincidence that it was such a fitting number like 25 days before. And so I started doodling like you can see in the beggining of the video, then I did lineart, next I started with a new grayschale technique that I had never tried before, I remember being really afraid because it could turn out to look really bad and I woul all have been a waste. Luckly it turned out pretty well! Although, I'm not going to lie there are some illustrations that I didn't quite like, but even so all of them together turned out looking pretty cool! This project started as some sort of way to prove myself that I can make time for anything I want. If I'm able to upload a video everyday and keep up with university, then I can have time for myself and my hobbies despite of being buried in homework. Also as and artist I'm sure I grew a lot. I'm the type of person that doesn't try working on something unless I'm sure it's going to turn out well... So you can guess there are a lot of time I want to make somthing but I don't because I'm afraid of failure. This was a total jump to the void, I went completely out of my comfort zone for a project I didn't even know if it would be able to accomplish it's purpose. Today even if it didn't I'm still glad I did this.

Hello ladies and gentlemen we have finally completed the INKING phase of the EPIC demon slayer POSTER with Gyomei.

His inking wasn't nearly as challenging as drawing him symmetrically (or mostly) so was no stress other than the extra work to cover all the lineart the sesh went okay.

Now we have inked all the characters in the series I'm going to be working on the painting sessions and each one should complete the characters own mini strip poster if you like. Then I shall do one poster that incorporates all the characters with the same background. Hit the sub if your interested in seeing how each one turns out I shall be putting s fair bit of work into these soon to get the series wrapped up both quickly and nicely with a brand new string of slayer posters to criticize and look at and enjoy.

Day 23-31 of Inktober!! That’s the end of it, wow!!

Day 23 was OC, and i have several. Pictured is Licorice, Vanilla, Pear Puree, Paprika and Frog Foam Cookie! i have more but i couldn’t fit more of them on the page, oopsie

Day 24 was Champions League, and uhhh. This was drawn the day before it opened back up again, before i knew that only 2 of the 5 cookies pictured get to run in it, oopsie nr.2 lol

Day 25 was The Witch. I’ve been looking forward to drawing this prompt since the very beginning of inktober.

Day 26 was Favorite Child Cookie, so since we’d just gotten cookie affection and relationships, I had to draw Pancake «helping» Creampuff do magic...

Day 27 was Costume. Janitor band!! Janitor band!!

Day 28 was NPC. the first one i thought of was bat baby, he’s given me so much stuff. what a nice guy.

Day 29 was Cookie Wars, and i swear the lineart looked good before i added all the water. you live and you learn

Day 30 was shipping, soouhh.. family photo.. i wanted to put onion in there too because she’s their family, but it felt weird since the prompt was «shipping» and not «family» or «headcanon».

Finally, day 31 was Trick or Treat, so i drew some happy kids :3 wanted to put more cookies in there but uhhh i’ve been very very busy lately.

I wanna do huevember or some sort of advent drawing challenge to get around to the rest of the cookies, but I’m not totally sure what to do about that yet. We’ll see what I end up with.

1. Favorite drawing from this year

lol so i actually somehow forgot i never posted it on here and only posted it on twitter but there's this BeatNeku fanfic that I really like and i drew something from it, in one chapter Neku had a nightmare and Beat comforts him ;u; The colouring could have been done better but i'm happy with the pose and their expressions here

when i'm done with this ask post i'll make a new separate post for this art and also link the fic for any beatneku enjoyers out there who have not read it yet

2. least favorite drawing from this year

some of the things i drew for the "draw every Neo character from memory" challenge were absolutely awful lmao, but i'm not going to count that, i'll also not count sketches that i never fully finished

so out of all the coloured arts i did this year, i think this Yew one is my least favourite, he was part of a series of 10 drawings i did and out of all of them, his pose is just the most boring and he also got stuck in a job outfit i just don't like as much as the others

3. first drawing from this year

there's absolutely no way this one is actually the first, i'm SURE i must have doodled Byleth at least once in the Jan-Feb time period before Bravely Default 2 released, but i must not have saved any of them to my laptop, so here's a sketch of Seth in the Beastmaster job lol

(in game he says "ya-haar!!" like a pirate a lot so i thought it'd be funny if he said "nya-haar" when wearing the cat hood lmao)

the way i drew Seth's scarf here, for once i actually drew clothes folding in a believable way lol

not sure if this really counts as trying a new style, but i've noticed that when i started drawing more twewy fanart i sometimes end up doing thicker lineart on my drawings lol

aside from that though i don't think i experimented much this year

last year this answer would have been Fire Emblem, but for 2021 only the fandom i drew most is probably Bravely Default, though TWEWY is defo catching up lol

i do still like to draw Byleth Fremblem sometimes tho, even if not as often as i used to

i want to work on expressions more, i think the way i draw faces is cute, but sometimes my drawings lack a certain amount of energy maybe?

despite having just said i need to improve more on it, the head/face is what i draw best, everything below the neck can be a real struggle for me, which is why sometimes i'm only in the mood to draw busts lol

though i have also been told i'm good at drawing armour by some discord friends whenever i show them my Dragoon Seth stuff

i might have twisted his spine a bit too much but i'm still really happy with how the pose looks on this one

i really like this one too, probably the most dynamic pose i've drawn ever lol

24. what do you like most about your art style

it's cute, there's a lot of things i want to improve with my art, but it being cute is one thing that does make me genuinely happy about the style i have

25. best advice youve recieved this year or something new you learned about art

sometimes i'll see a post that gives off a vibe of just not giving a fuck and i actually find those pretty inspirational lol

the ones like this or that are like "post sketches!! who tf cares if you don't finish everything!! post it anyway!!!" or i remember seeing one that was like "i may not be a great artist but i've got hands and a pencil and i WILL make that everyone else's problem" thats the kind of energy i want to have lmao

it can be really disappointing to not get the numbers you wanted on a piece you worked hard on but i try to remind myself in the end that as long as i had fun drawing something it was worth the effort even if it doesn't get much attention

TFT Daily-ish Challenge #1 - Fluffy Owl

we’ve created a new daily-ish* challenge for ourselves - the goal is to do a sketch in 15 minutes, and lines in 15 minutes, and leave colouring alone for now. for this lovely owl friend, we managed to do the sketch in 15 minutes (nearly exactly!), though the lining took a bit longer - somewhere in the realm of 25 minutes, I believe? 

In any case, we’re really happy with how this turned out, and with how the challenge pushed us, but not enough to overwhelm us. 

we are planning on colouring these linearts at some points, but the challenge is specifically about sketching and lining for now! That said, if anyone else would like to colour them, please feel free! We just ask that if you want to post it online, you use the version with our signature, and tag us if it’s on tumblr.

we really thrive on requests for things like this, so we'd love for people to send us asks with simple drawing ideas for us to turn into little cartoons like this!
