Note
Do you know if jada did this kind of things when Kate and Caitlin were at Iowa? I don't understand, she fully knows how many eyes are on them now and she simply doesn't care.
I honestly don’t know, I became a fan this year during the time cait and kate got drafted to the WNBA but with what jada did I’m incredibly disappointed and upset with her
But I honestly don’t understand why people are blaming cait and kate when they weren’t even there this is jada’s problem not the girls and it just makes me so upset that they’re bringing both of the girls into it you know?

Chapter 12: Poetry
Masterlist
<- Chapter 11
It had been a mere two days since Lancelot had departed when Jada grew bored.
While she was grateful her new position as Royal Bard consisted of conveniently short hours, she soon found herself all but twiddling her thumbs whenever her services were not called upon. There were only so many hours she could spend practising the lute, or trying her best to read some of the old tomes she’d borrowed form Gaius’ library, and since Lancelot had gone she hadn’t the faintest idea how to go about practising with her sword, either. Everyone she’d met so far in Camelot worked full-time, so she couldn’t even go and bother them with her boredom. She’d have to seek a solution elsewhere, she decided.
And so, when the next morning dawned with a clear sky and bright sunshine, Jada seized the opportunity to go exploring in the city itself.
She found the markets first, though that hadn’t taken too much effort. They were the centre of life in the city, after all, where it seemed that people of every class gathered to mill about and chat to their friends while perusing the various stalls. Jada still had very little money—and what she did have, she owed to Merlin—so she merely wandered through the stalls, admiring the trinkets on one or grimacing at the ‘medicinal’ remedies on another. She was happy enough just to be out of her room, amongst the people bustling energetically about.
Down one street she discovered a travelling musician, stamping his foot along with the tune from his whistle as several young children in plain tunics and skirts danced and skipped about him. On another there was a storyteller recounting some dramatic tale of nobility and chivalry to the small crowd gathered around. At a crossroads she found a preacher atop a wooden box, his hands raised to the heavens as he called the people to repent their mistakes and dedicate their lives to the worship of whatever deity he stood in the name of. Jada didn’t spend too long listening to him, her curiosity flat-lining as he praised Uther for purging all those who remained unrepentant with ‘glorious flames’. With clenched fists, she turned quickly back towards the castle.
She had almost reached the courtyard when she heard a loud clatter from the direction of the stables, followed by a familiar yet clearly exasperated voice demanding, “Now, was that really necessary?”
Smiling, Jada followed the sound into the barn, soon finding Merlin in one of the stalls. He was stood with his back to her, his hands on his hips like a parent scolding a child, and facing down a large grey horse which looked neither intimidated nor repentant over the overturned wheelbarrow that lay between them. If anything, Jada thought the horse looked pleased with itself.
“Having fun?” she asked, leaning with both arms atop the gate.
Merlin jumped, his hands dropping as he turned towards her, before a smile lit his face. “Jada. What are you doing here?” He stepped over the horse’s carnage to walk closer to her, but threw a scowl back over his shoulder as he did so. “This isn’t over,” he warned the horse.
It flicked its ears at him, sneezed, and turned to nibble lazily at its hay.
Jada giggled, and Merlin grinned too.
“I came to see what all the noise was about. Actually, I wanted to give you this, too, while I remembered.” She plonked her coin-purse down on the top of the gate. “I don’t know how much those dresses were, so you’ll have to just take however much I owe you.”
            “Jada, you don’t have to-”
“Just take it. I owe you.”
She shook the purse at him, the few coins inside making a dull clinking sound, and finally Merlin gave in. “Fine. I’ll take what you owe me, and then we’re even, all right?”
He tugged the pouch open, counting out the coins carefully before pulling the string tight again and handing it back to her.
“Sorted,” she grinned. “Now we’re even.”
Merlin gave her a smile back, but as he bent to pick up the wheelbarrow his face seemed to drop.
“Are you all right?” Jada asked. “You look a bit worn out.”
“I’m fine” he replied, “Just a busy day, really. Arthur’s had me running round all day after him trying to get all the new recruits in gear.”
            “New recruits?”
“Yeah, after the griffin attacked it thinned the army down a bit. They’ve got some new people to fill the spaces, but it takes a while for them to settle in properly, apparently. And then I had to walk his dogs. I hate his dogs; they just refuse to listen to any kind of reason. And I was almost finished mucking out until this donkey here…”—He cast an accusatory glance back at the horse, which seemed now to be ignoring him—“Decided to flip the wheelbarrow. Now I have to clean it all up again, and I still have to polish all Arthur’s armour before he starts training them all again tomorrow.”
He sighed, turning to fork the muck back into the wheelbarrow again. “Sorry, you probably don’t really care. It’s just been a long day.”
“No, I don’t mind,” Jada said. “Is there anything I can help with? I could help you with the armour, if you want? I’m sure I could handle some polishing.”
“Really? You don’t have to, I’m sure you have better things to do.”
Jada laughed. “Please don’t make me go and play the lute again. I think my fingers are going to bleed if I practise any more. I’d be grateful for the change, honestly.”
The corner of Merlin’s lip quirked upwards. “All right. Well, I’m nearly done here, and then we can go and collect it all from the armoury, if that’s all right?”
“That’s fine,” she replied. “I don’t mind waiting.”
As soon as Merlin was finished, the two of them headed to the royal armoury. Jada had never been down to this part of the castle before, but Merlin seemed to know the way with perfect ease, so she had no concerns about getting lost.
Once Merlin had counted up all the various pieces, they divided the load evenly between them, carrying it back to his chambers with a quick ‘Hullo’ to Gaius on the way past. Before long, Arthur’s armour was sprawled across Merlin’s floor with the two of them sat amongst the mess, vigorously polishing.
“So, go on then,” Jada began. “How exactly did you manage to end up as the royal babysitter to the great Prince Arthur?”
Merlin chuckled at her sarcasm, before giving a slight shrug. “I saved his life.”
“Really?” she asked. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Is there anybody in Camelot whose life you haven’t saved?”
Merlin laughed again, but cast his eyes humbly back to his work.
“Did Arthur know about this one, at least?”
He nodded. “Some sorceress threw a knife at him; she wanted to get revenge on Uther for executing her son.”
            “And you stopped her?”
“Only just. I managed to pull Arthur out of the way just in time.”
Jada regarded the boy before her. He was still scrubbing at the metal in his hands, his knuckles red and rough and flecked with dirt. His boots were muddy, his clothes frayed at the edges and worn at the knees, and she was astounded with just how unassuming he seemed from the outside when the inside held something so awe-strikingly great.
“So, what?” she said, trying for a joke. “Now you get to save his royal ass for the rest of eternity?”
Merlin gave a soft laugh. “Apparently. It’s my destiny.”
            “Who told you that?”
He glanced up at her, brows furrowed slightly, before he shrugged. “Everyone. Ever since I came to Camelot, people having been telling me that’s what I’m supposed to do.”
“Is that what you want?” She was trying to understand him, trying to figure out the person behind all the legends and the destinies. She couldn’t imagine how it must feel to have so much responsibility thrust on him for the rest of his life.
“What do you mean?” he asked.
“Well, when you first came to Camelot you must have had some idea of what you wanted to do, right? If you’d have been given the choice, would you have been happy to pick this?”
He stopped polishing, his forehead wrinkling as he thought it over. “I… I don’t know. I’m happy now, it’s just… I don’t know, it’s not like I have a choice anyway, so it doesn’t matter.”
            “I think it does.”
Merlin looked at her, then fell back into his own thoughts as silence crept in between them.
“I think you’re very brave, you know,” Jada said at length.
Merlin looked surprised, his laugh tinted with disbelief. “Me?”
Jada couldn’t help but smile. “Yes, you. I’m really not sure how you manage it all.”
She thought for a moment, before setting the helmet she’d been polishing down into her lap and looking Merlin straight in the eye. “If you ever need help with anything, you know I’m here, right? I might not be very useful here in Camelot; I can’t use a sword very well and I don’t have magic, but if there’s ever anything you need, anything at all”—She paused, her smile softening—“I want you to know that I’m here to help. You don’t have to do it all by yourself.”
Merlin was quiet for a moment, just looking at her. “Thank you, Jada,” he said at last, before a warm smile spread across his face. “It’s good to know I can count on you.”
Jada grinned in return, scrubbing at the helmet again. “Any time.” She flashed him a mischievous glance. “As long as you don’t try and get me to muck out Arthur’s horses for you.”
Merlin laughed. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”
She thought again for a moment. “Do you ever get any time off?”
“Depends,” he replied. “Arthur usually lets me go once I’ve done all my chores, if there’s nothing special going on. Why?”
She shrugged. “It’s just… we could do something, if you wanted? I don’t know, you just seem like you could use a break from time to time.”
Merlin glanced at her, seeming surprised but interested. “Did you have anything in mind?”
“Maybe we could get out of the city for a bit? I used to go out into the garden to read back at home; being out in the sun always seems to help me relax a little. Not that we’d have to read, or anything.”
“No, that sounds nice. You can read if you want; I should really practise some more of the spells Gaius gave me, so being away from Camelot would give me the perfect opportunity.”
Jada chuckled. “All right, but remember the point is to relax. We could take some food, make it a picnic sort of thing.”
“Sounds good. I know just the cook to steal from.”
“Merlin!” Jada nudged him with her foot, giggling. “Just don’t get in trouble.”
“I won’t,” he grinned. “If you meet me in the courtyard tomorrow afternoon, I think I know a place we can go.”
            “Secret sorcerer’s club?” she teased.
Merlin laughed, but shook his head. “I can’t let you in there yet, I’m afraid. You have to have at least three recommendations from other members.”
“Ah, right. I guess your other place will have to do, then.”
He smiled, warm and bright. “I guess so.”
It was mid-way through the following morning when Jada left the castle, wooden sword in hand. She wanted to train, to keep practising her sword craft, but with Lancelot gone she found that she didn’t really have the faintest idea on how she should be improving.
Nevertheless, she tried her best to hack and slash at imaginary monsters, hoping that if she ever did end up facing one, the universe would be kind enough to give her a small, dumb beast rather than something as terrifying as the griffin had been. Maybe Camelot would have a nasty infestation of particularly large snails. She could probably manage that.
            “New at this?”
The voice came from behind her, soft and velvety but still tinted with amusement. Jada turned to find herself facing a girl who looked to be in her late teens, her dark hair plaited back and one delicate eyebrow raised.
“Lady Morgana?” she realised with a jolt.
She had hardly recognised the lady without her flowing gown, as now she wore a loose-fitting shirt and breeches and bore her own—much deadlier-looking—sword.
“That’s correct,” she replied. “You’re Uther’s new bard, no?”
“That’s me. Uh, Jada,” she offered her hand to the lady, who glanced at it quizzically before clasping it with her own. She seemed strangely pleased when Jada shook it, her expression smoothing out.
“So, what exactly is a royal bard doing swinging a wooden sword about by herself?” Morgana asked, with no small amount of amusement.
“Uh,” Jada laughed sheepishly, fiddling with the end of her sleeve. “I was trying to practise. Sir Lancelot was teaching me, but then he left, and…”
            “Sir Lancelot?”
            “Um…”
“I can see he’s tried to cover the basics,” Morgana noted, moving swiftly on. “Here. Stand more sideways. It makes you a smaller target, which makes you harder to hit.” She demonstrated it herself, and Jada did her best to copy her positioning. “There you go. But why would a bard want to know how to fight, anyway?”
“I, uh…” Jada hesitated, wondering whether to tell her the full truth or not. “I ran into the griffin in the forest, before it started to attack Camelot. I didn’t like how helpless it made me feel, how there was nothing I could do to protect…”—She glanced up suddenly, before continuing—“To protect myself. It doesn’t matter whether I’m a soldier or not, I can still be killed just the same.”
A curious expression passed over Morgana’s face as she regarded Jada, almost as though she were impressed.
“But what about you? Why did you come here alone and armed with your own sword?”
Morgana smiled. “It appears that we have something in common. I, too, refuse to be helpless in the face of danger. I was coming here to practise myself.” She thought for a moment, her brows furrowing slightly. “Perhaps we should train together. After all, you’re never going to learn anything if you keep swinging like that,” she added with a mischievous smirk.
Jada laughed at her teasing. “I’d appreciate it, thanks. I clearly have a lot to learn.”
“Certainly. But, first we need to find you a proper sword.”
“Sorry I’m late,” Merlin panted, racing down the steps outside the castle. “Arthur had me scrubbing the floors again.”
“No worries,” Jada said. “I’ve not been here long.”
“I wouldn’t mind, but I’ve already scrubbed them once today, but then he went to training and he just has to traipse mud all over the place, doesn’t he?” He shook his head in exasperation. “I really don’t know why I bother, sometimes.”
Jada smiled. “Well, it doesn’t matter now. We’re going to have fun, and you’re going to relax. Got it?”
“Yes, Your Majesty,” Merlin teased, giving an ungainly bow.
“Oi,” Jada laughed, elbowing him in the ribs. “Did you get the food?”
He patted the bag at his hip proudly and nodded. “Ready to go.”
“All right then, lead the way.”
Jada followed Merlin through the winding streets of the city and out the gate, into the jade-green light of the forest underneath the leafy canopy above. They didn’t walk too far, travelling just until they were a safe distance away from the roads, where the birds were in full song and the brush around them seemed to be teeming with unseen life.
“It’s just here,” Merlin said, heading down a slight incline. His features already seemed to Jada less tired in the afternoon sun, the golden light that peeked through the leaves highlighting the angles of his face and smoothing out the stressed creases.
She followed him down until the ground evened out again, where they came upon a small brook that danced over a bed of pebbles. The trees had thinned here, enough that Jada could see the pale sky above them, which was unexpectedly clear for a September afternoon.
“Here.” Merlin halted, turning to face her with a smile. “Is this all right?”
“This is lovely,” Jada replied, taking in their surroundings with awe.
“I’m glad you like it.” He beamed, sitting himself down on the ground and beginning to dig through his bag.
Jada sat beside him, drawing her knees up to lean the book that she had brought against them.
“I wasn’t sure what kind of food you liked, so I just tried to get a mix.” He pulled out a white cloth, and spread it out to reveal an assortment of bread, cheese, and fruits.
“That looks pretty good to me,” Jada said, reaching over to pop a blackberry into her mouth. “Thanks.”
She opened her book, flicking through the first few pages. Merlin stretched out on his stomach, setting his own book out in front of him as he munched on one of the pieces of bread.
They read in comfortable silence for a while, every now and then reaching for a piece of food off of the cloth absently. Occasionally, Merlin would murmur a spell, his voice soft as it shaped the foreign words. Whether his magic answered him or not now seemed to be mostly up to chance, as Jada saw it, but she imagined that with practise it became easier—like learning to play a melody from memory.
His eyes glowed suddenly, the brilliant gold flaring up as a gust of wind breezed across the brook and over the two of them, ruffling clothes and hair as it passed. Merlin grinned, clearly proud of himself, and glanced over to Jada, who suddenly became aware that she’d been watching him for quite some time.
She gave a sheepish laugh, fixing her windblown hair, before returning his grin. “Well done.”
“Thanks,” Merlin replied. His expression changed to curiosity as his gaze fell on her book, and he twisted round a little to get a better look at it. “What are you reading?”
“Hm? Oh, um…” Jada had almost forgotten about the book in her lap. “It’s a book of poetry. I found it on Gaius’ shelf and wanted to have a look, y’know, being a bard and all now. The only problem is that I can’t understand half the poems that are in here.”
Merlin chuckled. “They can’t be that bad. Read me one of them.”
Jada made a face. “All right, but I warned you:
As she finished stumbling over the verse, her tongue clumsy and her voice broken, she heard Merlin give a soft chuckle.
“Bytuene Mershe and Averil
When spray beginneth to springe,
The lutel foul hath hire wyl
On hyre lud to synge:
Ich libbe in love-longinge
For semlokest of alle thynge,
He may me blisse bringe,
Ich am in hire baundoun.”
“Let me see.” He sat up, moving closer to her to peer at the page she was holding until his chest brushed her shoulder. “Ah, no, see, like this:
            “Baundoun?” Jada frowned.
“Between March and April
When spray—that’s kind of like a branch—beginneth to spring,
The little fowl hath her will
In her tune to sing:
I live in love-longing
For semlokest—I think that means ‘most beautiful’—of all things,
She may me bliss bring,
I am in her baundoun.”
“Power,” Merlin explained. “Thraldom. It’s sort of like saying, ‘I am bound by her.’”
“Ah,” Jada nodded. “How do you know all that?”
He grinned, holding up his spell book for her to see. On the pages, Jada saw not a single word of English—or modern English, at any rate—and she felt her eyes widen. “You can understand all that?”
He was still grinning as he flicked through the pages, not answering her for a moment. Then, he looked back up at her, eyes glinting. “Monegum léoht.”
Out of nowhere, dozens of tiny glowing orbs appeared in the air around them, swirling and spiralling in the breeze as they twinkled. Jada gasped, awestruck, and just managed to turn back in time to see the starlight in his eyes fade back to a cool blue. “That’s amazing.”
He let out a laugh, dropping his gaze for a moment.
“Do you like this?” Jada asked suddenly.
Merlin’s brow creased slightly. “What do you mean?”
“This.” She gestured at their surroundings, before laughing at her own vagueness. “Showing me. Sharing your secret.”
His expression cleared, his lips parting for a second. “It’s…” He hesitated, before licking his lips and letting out a nervous laugh. “It terrified me at first. I suppose it still does, a little. I think I must get a weird thrill from it, or something.” Another shaky laugh. “But I like it. I like having someone who knows, who sees the real me, and…”
Jada tilted her head slightly. “And?”
He gave another chuckle, though she noticed his glances were darting. “Well, you always seem so… impressed. It’s not really a reaction I tend to get a lot.”
He’d pulled his knees up to his chest, wrapping his arms around them, but he seemed to want to push himself to continue speaking, so Jada waited. “I like having someone who sees me for who I really am, and who… who likes that.”
Without thinking, Jada wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into a hug. He seemed surprised at first, but after a moment he relaxed, dropping his knees and hugging her back.
“I do like you,” she agreed, wanting to soothe the hammering of his heart that she could feel against her own chest. “All of you. You’re right.” She wanted to hug all the worry out of his lanky body, to give him a place where he felt safe and valued and wanted. “I’m glad you feel comfortable being yourself with me.”
“I’m glad you haven’t turned me in,” he joked, most of his nerves seeming calmer now. He sat back, pulling out of the hug, but his mouth wore a soft smile.
“Do you think we could do this again sometime?” she asked. “I’ve really enjoyed it.”
“Me too,” Merlin replied. “I’d love to do this more often.”
“Just let me know the next time you need a break, then,” Jada said, absently nudging his knee with her fist. “I’ll be there.”
His eyes still held the tumult of emotion of the past few minutes, but his smile grew warmer as he regarded her. “I have no doubt.”

Pairings: Roman Reigns x black! oc
Warnings: flashback of threatening assault, smut, oral (female receiving), slight (a little more than slight) daddy kink, fluff
Summary: Jada thinks she’s just going to visit her man while he’s doing his time in jail for assaulting this man who wouldn't leave her alone. Little does she know, he has a surprise when she gets there…
Word Count: 1.9k words
A/N: Hey my baes! This is my first story/one shot so please take it easy on me lmao. I’m sure as I keep writing, it’ll get better. I am so open to constructive criticism though. Yall PLEASE go easy on me abeg. okay enjoy!! please comment if you like it :))
As Jada drove down the road that seemed to never end, she could hardly contain the nerves and butterflies that were erupting in her stomach. Before leaving her apartment, she decided to put on her pink Skims Long Slip Dress, paired with a baby pink bolero, and a pair of platform UGGs.
Every day Jada wishes that it was the day Roman was coming home. She would always tell him that he needed to go to anger management counseling or something, but he constantly shrugged her off. Then one day at the grocery store, this creepy older white man kept hitting on Jada, so Roman stepped in.
“Aye man. Who are you?” Roman firmly asked the older man, and looking down at him as he was much shorter.
The man confidently looked up at Roman and even puffed his chest out a bit. Before he could even get a word out, Roman grabbed him by his shirt collar with both hands and roughed him up a little.
The older man’s eyes widened, now in fear of this huge Samoan man.
“She’s my woman. Now, I heard her tell you ‘bout three times that she wasn’t interested. Are you hard of hearing?” Roman was getting more irritated by the second, as Jada could tell by him scrunching his face.
“Sir, I- I didn’t know.” The man pleaded to Roman.
Roman pulled the man closer to his face and tightened his grip on his shirt. “Oh you didn’t know? You really wanna get yo’ ass beat huh?”
As Jada looked away, a bit embarrassed, she saw two police officers looking at them. This included Roman clearly threatening this old man. “Umm, Roman?” She gently tapped his shoulder.
“What baby?” He asked, still staring daggers into his victim.
Jada just pointed at the officers and her silence prompted Roman to follow her line of vision. A sudden realization hits Roman and he smacks his teeth and drops the creepy pervert.
Long story short, the man pressed charges and Roman was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Thinking about the whole process that happened, Jada zoned out and arrived at the jail quicker than she realized. She quickly found a parking spot in the visitors lot and made sure to only grab her keychain that held her car/house keys and a little card holder, leaving her purse and phone under the passenger seat.
She stepped out of her car and made her way to the building to get searched and to check in for the visit.
Jada was actually nervous to see Roman. They usually talk on the phone more than physically seeing each other in person. In a lot of ways, hearing his voice made her miss him even more.
“Ms. Williams, you’re up next to visit inmate Reigns. Follow me.” A guard’s voice rang throughout the waiting room. Jada quickly got up and walked up to him, expecting to go the same route as usual.
The guard seemed to be going a different way than usual. She didn’t want to be rude, so she politely asked him if they were going the right way. It felt shady.
“Um, officer? Is this the way to visitation?” She asked from behind his moving figure. The officer led them to a part of the jail that seemed deserted.
“Oh yeah.” He said matter-of-factly. They finally came upon a silver steel door with no window and the officer knocked three times before opening the door for Jada. She was so confused that she didn’t even recognize the 6’3” man with tribal tattoos in a khaki uniform sitting with his back to her.
“Roman?” She softly said. The sound of her voice made him perk up and he stood up to physically take her in.
“Jada…” He breathed out her name in awe, walking up to her. He quickly dapped up the guard who helped him get the private, “conjugal” visit. “Thanks, man. I appreciate it.”
“No problem. You only got 1 hour though.” The guard said, then left and closed the door before locking it.
Roman focused his attention back on the beauty in front of him. He picked her up in a hug and spun her around before giving her a deep and slow kiss.
Roman slipped his tongue into Jada’s vulnerable mouth and walked them both over to the bunk bed in the corner of the room, laying her down on it.
When he pulled away from her soft lips, Jada slapped his arm. “Roman, how in the world did you set this up? Can’t you get in troub-”
“Shhh. Don’t worry about that, baby. I’m good with that officer.” He tucked some of her curly hair behind her ear. The gesture made her smile. She missed his touch so much.
Jada’s hand went to Roman’s face, caressing it, and he smiled, showing his dimples and beautiful smile. “Roman, I miss you so much.” He grabbed her hand and brought it to his mouth and laid a kiss there.
“I miss you too princess. I think about you every day. Listen…when I get out of here, I’mma go to that anger management class. And I want you to be there with me.” He gently says to her.
Hearing Roman finally say that he would try to get help made Jada’s heart swell. Even though he was never violent towards her, she wanted to help him with controlling his anger towards other things and people.
“Babe…of course I’ll be there with you…” Jada says lovingly. Roman leans in for another kiss, their lips moving in sync. The kiss soon turned heated and sloppy. Roman’s lips left Jada’s and trailed to her jaw, then to her neck.
As Roman kissed her neck, his large hand went to her waist, feeling the curves he missed so much. He sucked on her neck, knowing there would be hickeys later.
Jada’s hands came to rest on his shoulder blades and tugged on his khaki shirt. He took this silent signal to take it off, leaving his white wife beater on, which seemed to amplify his tribal tattoo that ran up his arm and covered half of his chest.
She noticed that he seemed…bigger. She squeezed his arms, even more turned on and bit her lip. “Babe. Oh my-you’re so sexy.”
This made Roman chuckle. “Yeah? You want more?” His deep voice dropped an octave as he took off his wife beater, now completely bare up top. Jada ran her fingers over his well-defined abs that seemed to glisten even under the fluorescent lights.
His hands went to her feet and slid off her UGGs, placing them on the floor. Then he pressed kisses on her feet and saw that she had perfectly manicured white toenails. His hands went under her dress, sliding against her thighs, and scrunched her dress up to rest on her waist.
Jada spread her legs for him, feeling herself get more wet. Roman kissed up her thighs after placing each one to rest over his broad shoulders. He didn’t even take her panties off, just moved them to the side before licking a slow stripe up her wet pussy.
He sloppily made out with her pussy, mixing his spit with her juices. Jada was moaning, but Roman could tell she was holding back. He moved his mouth away from her core. “No, baby let it out. Lemme hear how good it feels.”
He placed his tongue back directly on her clit, flicking it tender and slow, then in long circles.
“Mmm…fuck Ro,” Jada moans out, louder this time as usual. Hearing her moans made his dick harder than steel. As he kept eating her out, he tugged the neckline of her dress down to expose her tits and kneaded them in his hands, rolling her hard nipples between his fingers.
She was so wet, it was seeping down her crack and onto the bed. Roman felt her legs start shaking a little. “Fuck, baby. Nut on my tongue, come on.” He told her then went right back to stimulating her clit, faster this time.
Jada chased her orgasm, feeling that knot about to burst in her lower abdomen. Her back arched and she sucked on her own fingers as she came undone on Roman’s tongue. He let her come down from her high, her juices all in his thick beard.
He kissed her, letting her taste herself from his mouth. Roman pulled his pants down just enough to free his throbbing, thick cock. One of his large hands went to it, slowly stroking himself as he looked at the love of his life.
“You gonna cum like that again on this dick?” His husky voice asked her. She wanted it so bad that it hurt.
“Yes Daddy..” She slyly said then giggled. Roman laughed and then rubbed the head of his dick up and down her pussy, and then forced out a long trail of spit that landed just in the right spot.
He slowly pushed into her tight, wet pussy, feeling her walls squeeze the life out of him damn near.
After Jada adjusted to his size again, there was no stopping them now.
She was now on all fours, back arched and her ass in the air. “Ooh Daddy, you fuck me so good!” She said in between moans.
Roman’s grunts didn’t go unnoticed. “Yeah? Tell me how good that dick feels in you baby.” He said and slapped her ass.
“Yesss! Fuck, it feels so good. It’s in my stomach,” Jada tells him, not ever wanting it to end. He changed the angle he was hitting it and found her G spot, stroking against it over and over with powerful thrusts.
Roman looked down at her ass that moved with each of his thrusts and saw her creaming on his girthy dick, and dripping down her thighs. “Damn. Yeah, cream on me just like that.” He threw his head back in never ending pleasure, trying not to bust too quick.
Jada started fucking him back, meeting his hips with her own, making her ass clap and the sound resonate through the empty room. There was an even bigger knot forming in her abdomen and she chased it again.
“Cum on Daddy’s dick, princess. Show me you want that nut.” Roman coaxed her and not even 2 seconds later, Jada’s legs were shaking, and she pressed her face into the bed.
That’s what Roman loved about Jada coming on his dick. She didn’t need a break. After her orgasm she was right back to taking his slow, meaningful thrusts.
“Mmm, Daddy please cum in me.” She looked at Roman over her shoulder. She silently applauded herself for taking her birth control before she drove here.
His hands tightened on her waist and ass while he focused on his pleasure. “That pussy gripping me so tight baby...” His moans got louder, and his thrusts got sloppy.
“Oh fuck, I’m ‘bout to cum,” Jada feels his hot load inside of her and he moans in her ear. When he comes down, he slowly pulls out of her and flips Jada on her back. They were both glistening because of sweat. He gives her a tender kiss.
“I love you with all my heart, Jada.” He says, still trying to catch his breath.
“I love you, Roman.” She tells him and they cuddle, trying to enjoy what little time they have left before the guard comes knocking on the door to get them.

Pairing: Caitlin Clark x Reader
Summary: You are an advocate for Caitlin's W transition (based on THIS request)
Warnings: fluff
Word Count: 5.1k
Sweetban Masterlist
AN: The request was very specific and I am going to be honest, I did not follow it to a T but I hope you enjoy!
"Hey CC, you better hurry up the game is starting," Jada yells from the couch. Caitlin taps the microwave in hopes that will speed up the popcorn. It doesn't.
Cait hurridly puts the chocolate chip cookies on a plate, cursing as she keeps burning her hand on the cookie sheet that she just pulled from the oven. She places the last cookie on the plate, grabs the popcorn bag, and scurries to the living room with the other girls.
The team had just finished a summer training session and booked it back to Caitlin's place to watch the game. It was one they all had been talking about for weeks.
"You know one of you could have helped me," Caitlin says passing the popcorn to Jada and placing the plate of cookies on the table. A swarm of hands comes to grab them, leaving 2 on the plate.
"You didn't ask," Jada says like it was a fact, and Caitlin rolls her eyes.
"Sorry, we'll help next time," Kate says as she finishes her cookie.
"Yeah, whatever," Caitlin says as the game tips off.
"CC, my popcorn is burnt," Jada whines as she tries to pick through the burnt pieces.
Caitlin doesn't respond, her eyes glued to the screen as you make your first appearance in 11 months.
You were the first pick in the 2021 draft, there was no question about it. You had led your team to two championships, back to back. There wasn't much left you felt you needed to do at a college level and declared for the draft. The NY Liberty getting first overall pick made the decision a no-brainer.
When you were drafted, you were in the best physical shape of your life. Tired, yes, but more ready than you have ever been for the jump to the W. Getting to NY and starting in training camp confirmed even more that this was the right decision for you. When games started, you realized that the transition was way more than you had expected. The physicality yes, but the mental transition was even harder. You went from a near-perfect season your senior year to losing what felt like every other game.
You were only 7 games into the season when the worst happened. It was during an away game in Minnesota when you went down and you went down hard. The pop in your left knee was something you were trying hard to ignore but the scream you let out was anything but ignorable. When it happened the whole arena went silent as you made your way off the court - only accepting help when you got to the tunnel. After a few scans, you learned you had torn your ACL, officially taking you out of your rookie season.
Caitlin remembers watching the game when it happened. If Cait were honest, she had been watching your game since you entered college. She watched your freshman year as your game immediately translated into a college setting. She watched as they built a team around you your sophomore year, already anticipating playing you when she becomes a Hawkeye. Then your senior year, her freshman year, when your team knocked out hers in the Sweet Sixteen.
It was in Caitlin's freshman year when you had been posted up against her - playing elite defense and causing Cait to have the single worst game in her college career thus far. She went back and reviewed the tape multiple times to see what had caused her to become so shaken. As she watches it, she realizes several things.
First off, you put your head down and do the work. She rarely sees you arguing with the refs when a call doesn't go your way. She actually finds it comical how your teammates go up questioning the ref or trying to explain how what her team did was a foul and you just jogged to the other end of the court.
Second, she noticed how calm you were while playing. You handled the ball like you were playing a pick-up game with some friends. It was mesmerizing to Caitlin. So often she felt like she played all over the place, and if she were to watch herself it was obvious, but when she watched you - you never once seemed jarred.
Third, your vision is similar to hers. She can only assume you see what she sees. Your vision on the court and IQ for the game is one that she hopes to continue working at. As Cait watches you scout out the floor, you don't always go with what she would expect or do herself. It was almost like a game of chess to you. If you saw the defense react a certain way, you would adjust and get them thinking you were going one way when really you would get everyone to shift, waiting until the last second to show your hand. That is what got under Caitlin's skin during the game. It was almost as if you were baiting her and were playing a head game with her. It was most obvious when you were on defense and were able to pick apart her offensive strategy. It was almost like you knew what Caitlin was going to do before she knew it.
The last thing she noticed had nothing to do with the game, and she almost missed it the first four times she watched the tape, but it was the way she caught herself looking at you. Caitlin throughout the whole game was stealing glances of you. She thinks back to the game and feels herself start to blush. She remembers how your cheeks would tint red and how you stood there with your hands on your hips when something was taking too long. She remembers how your team would gravitate to you because she also wanted to. She remembers how after playing a whole game, when you were giving high-fives, you looked over and smiled at her - your eyes looking directly into hers until she finally broke the contact. She realized that not only was she swayed by your game but she took a particularly deep liking to you.
As Caitlin sits with her team watching your first game back, yes she is watching you because it is your comeback game but also because since she has realized she has taken a particular liking to you, she wants to watch you nonstop.
You take the court and isn't the game you want as your first one back but you are back. You are still figuring out how to move on the court with the adjustment of a weaker knee but know that will come with time. To anyone watching, you looking good as new but you know your game is different - so does Caitlin.
You end the game going 12/4/8 with 2 steals and a block. You aren't super happy but you know you are your biggest critic. You also have to remember this is the first game of the season. After the game, you check your phone to see messages from a handful of people congratulating you, responding to them all with some sort of reaction you open Instagram and scroll. Any time you see anything about you, you scroll right past it.
You stop on a post about the winner of the Dawn Staley Award winner. You see it went, for the second time, to Caitlin Clark - a guard out of Iowa. You wrack your brain and remember playing her in college, she is a solid player. It is tough that she has won the award back to back her freshman and sophomore years. You post the achievement to your story with the caption '1-of-1'. You then click on her profile and give her a follow before locking your phone and heading to the post-presser.
Caitlin gets a notification and immediately stands up. When the game ended, the girls didn't move and kept snacking on whatever was in front of them. Cait is the first one to move.
"Woah, are you okay there?" Kate asks grabbing Caitlin's calf. Kate's sitting right next to Caitlin and lost balance when the girl decided to stand up without any sort of notice.
Caitlin didn't know what to say as she just stared at the notification of you following her. She shows Kate.
"Holy shit, there is no way," Kate says looking at her phone. "That is sick."
The other girls are asking what happened and Kate tells them that you followed Caitlin. Cait sits back down and taps on your story only to see a photo of her. She sits there with a stupid smile on her face. You know who she is. You know who Caitlin is. You posted about her winning an award right after you just took the first dub of the season.
Caitlin tries not to let it get to get head considering you are a pro and she still had two (possibly three) more years in college but that is hard to do when the player she is crushing on now knows who she is.
Time flies when you are having fun. At least that is what Caitlin tells herself as she has just played in her last college game. What a time it has been for her. She brought her team to the championship game twice but fell short both times, never being named with a title. She is now headed to the WNBA draft and will likely go first, making her way to Indiana.
The transition is fast and before she knows it, she is moving in to an apartment in Indianapolis and preparing for training camp. When games begin, she feels like she hasn't received a break in what feels like a year. In reality, it has only been six months but the amount of play she has had both in her senior year and entering the W is overwhelming.
The thing is - Caitlin would never outright say she is overwhelmed, rather just swallow it and keep going. She may not say anything but her body language and eyes tell the story.
You on the other hand have started the season out on fire. Your mindset for this year was redemption. Over the last two years, your game wasn't where you had wanted it to be coming out of college and coming back from a major injury but where you are now is a much better place than you were before. The year you came back from injury, your game was anything but great. You had the worst season you had ever had playing, including the very first year you started with the sport. It was downright embarrassing but that is what drove you to be where you are now. It may have taken longer than anyone had expected but you have arrived.
It is a few games in when you are asked about the rookie guard.
"What are your thoughts on Caitlin Clark? She has been struggling in her transition and many people have been comparing it to your start in the W," one reporter asks. You smile and let out a little chuckle.
"You all love to pick apart a player when they're down, don't you," you begin and your media manager is in the back corner giving you a death stare. When it comes to the media, you have never had a problem calling them out. Unlike you on the court where you just put your head down and play, when it comes to how the media depicts players - well that is something you don't stand for.
"You need to give the girl some space to breathe. I feel like every time I open Twitter it is a huge rookie feast and it's not cool. It is like the world has forgotten they just got done playing their asses off in March and now you expect them to come into a league, freshly adapted to a different game," you say and continue before anyone can cut you off. "It was just a few days ago when I saw something circulating about how these rookies are facing a rude awakening and I laughed. I laugh because people are not looking at the whole picture. Looking at her box score is not a fair assessment of her game. I've been able to catch a few of the Fever games and yes, they have room to grow but all of our teams do. Do you all see the way she is running the floor? Have you looked into how many times she touches the ball? Like, come on, her vision of the game is the same as it was in college - she is now, alongside a team, are both learning how to adapt to play with her. You all may not say she is coming in and dominating but just watch - she will have you all stunned by the Olympic break - use that a headline."
You glance back at your media manager and they have they are rubbing their eyes as their head shakes back and forth. You personally don't think you have said anything out of line but you know you'll get an earful for something. And you do but not as badly as you thought you would.
On the other side of things, Caitlin gets out of a game where she went 8/5/9. She got in her head and stayed there. She gets out of her own post-presser to see a link from Jada.
When Caitlin opens it, she sees you with the headline '[Clark] will have everyone stunned by Olympic break'. Caitlin quickly opens the link and watches you talk. A smile can't help but make its way to her face as you call the media out and speak praises about her.
'Just wait until you see this game, if you see this game', Caitlin thinks as she flinches again at the thought of her efficiency this last game. The link is followed by Jada being Jada.
[Jadaaa: Your girl's got your back, think you can work up the nerve to talk to her when you face off in a few weeks?]
Caitlin knows the younger girl is joking but the feeling that swells in the pit of her stomach thinking about talking to you has her feeling sick.
As much as Caitlin doesn't want to think about you, she does. She can't help it. The last time she faced up against you, you handed her the single worst game she has ever played and in her mind, she wants to show you what she's got.
Little to her knowledge, you were also looking forward to your match-up against the rookie. It has been years since you played against her and look forward to seeing how she has grown. Also, to see how you two match up in the W.
The game finally comes, too slowly in Caitlin's eyes but finally here.
You are the first one on the court. It's not unusual for anyone who knows you but when Caitlin walks out, she stops dead in her tracks. She should have known you would be on the court already but she was so used to being the first one out that it never occurred to her that there would be someone else out there with her.
Caitlin makes her way out and begins to warm up herself. She wants to go over and talk to you but chooses to keep stealing glances. Soon enough, the whole team is out doing a shoot around and the opportunity has passed.
The game is about to begin as the teams take the floor. You go over and hug one of Cait's teammates and high-five the others. When you make your way to Caitlin, everything moves in slow motion for the younger girl.
You come up to her, wrapping one of your arms around her waist. You lean in and whisper something only she can hear.
"Have fun today, it's just you and me on the court - forget about everyone else, and let's have some fun." You tell her.
Caitlin smiles and nods as her cheeks heat up from your closeness. You pat her lower back and get positioned.
The game is a battle.
You play like you have been since the beginning of the season. You hit your double-double in the third quarter and are working towards a triple-double, which would be the second one of the season if you get there.
Cait is also playing better than she has yet and you can even see a little smile come out every now and again.
It is in the fourth when the two of you are standing next to each other during one of your team's free throws.
"Having fun?" You ask.
"Actually, I am," she says, surprising herself with her answer.
"It will get more fun, just wait and see. You're getting there C," you say and she smiles.
"I actually want to tha-" Caitlin begins but is cut short when your teammate knocks down both free throws and the ball is back in the Fever's possession.
The fourth quarter finishes and your team had come out on top by just 2 points. The closest game of the season thus far. It was probably the most fun you had in a game since you got to the W.
In the post-presser, you are asked about the rookie guard again.
"Now that you have faced Caitlin firsthand, what are some challenges you see in her game?" a male reporter asks.
You flat-out laugh at the question.
"You're kidding me, right?" You say and you already see your media manager waving her hands in the air to stop whatever it is you are about to say.
"I am tired of you guys hounding her into the ground. She played a tremendous game today - what was it, another double-double for the rookie? What more does she have to do to show you all she is already dominating in the W? This is midway through her first season playing the sport professionally. She is already doing the damn thing. What you all should be asking is how much more capable is she? If she is doing this in her first year, what will she be doing next year? In 2 years? 5? Like come on, she is already playing better than any of you could so I don't know why we are still talking about what she can't do," you say and stand, tired of their stupid questions.
You are on your way out when you add one last thing.
"Caitlin Clark is a force of nature. She is one of one, I said it about her in college and I will say it again with her in the W. She is unlike anyone we have seen before and you should all be more concerned with how high her ceiling is versus how low to the ground she stands."
You walk out and wait for your media manager to rip you another new one. You don't care and just take it.
When you get back to your hotel, you ignore all the things you are tagged in and open Caitlin's profile.
[You: Hey, this may seem out of the blue but I wanted to let you know I am on team Caitlin. You know the media spins things but keep your head down and play your game and they will see. I've been where you are, I know the media is a circus. Feel free to call or text if you need anything]
You follow your first message with a second that contains your number. It was a little bold and your motives are pure, mostly.
No one asked but if they did, you would tell them that you remember playing Caitlin in college. You remember how your one and only match-up was one of the toughest of your college career. You would speak to how you have followed her ever since, catching every game you could when she played. You were just as mesmerized as she was and neither of you had a clue.
Cait gets back to her apartment and falls on her bed. She unlocks her phone for the first time since the game, a rare occasion but she doesn't want anything to do with what the media was saying about her after that game.
Similarly to when you first followed her, she shoots up to a sitting position on her bed. She scans the message a thousand times.
Caitlin, who was just tired is now wide awake and smiling. She cannot believe her favorite player (and crush) has just given her phone number.
Her phone begins to go crazy in an old team group chat.
[Jadaaa: CAITLIN FREAKIN CLARK]
Jada then sends a link to another post-game presser.
[KMoney: Bro, it is your game to lose now. She's pro-Clark]
[Stulke: I'll start planning the wedding!]
[Caitlin: I bet you can't guess who just got her number 🫣]
[Jadaaa: SHUT UP]
[Stulke: Yep, wedding planning in progress]
[KMoney: I call dibs on making a speech]
[Jadaaa: Get in line Kate, I am getting first speech]
[Caitlin: Shut up]
Caitlin debated sending you a message but decided to wait until the morning. When Caitlin wakes up, she shoots you a text.
[C: Hi...I want to say thank you for always defending me. You really don't have to but I appreciate it]
[C: It's Caitlin btw]
[C: Caitlin Clark if that wasn't clear]
Caitlin feels like an idiot after she texts three times in a row. She locks her phone and throws her head into her pillow with a groan when she hears a 'ding'. She pulls her phone up to her face.
[You: I thought you weren't going to message]
[You: It's cute that you felt the need to put your first and last name]
[C: Didn't want to get mixed up with someone else]
[C: I don't know how often you hand out your number]
[You: Not often]
[You: So...who is Caitlin Clark?]
The two of you messaged pretty consistently. Messages turned to phone calls, phone calls turned to Facetimes then before you knew it you both were talking about anything and everything.
Caitlin's season has gotten better as the Fever as a team has grown, winning more games in a stretch than losing.
It is a few games later after a win that Caitlin is sitting in a post-presser with Aliyah. An interviewer asks if Caitlin has seen the clips of you talking about her in her post-pressers.
Caitlin blushes and looks down, trying to hide her rosy cheeks. Aliyah chuckles and nudges the girl who is now covering her uncontrolled smile with a towel.
"Ya...I've seen them," she says as she removes the towel to show her smile. "I think it is pretty cool how she stands up for me. I have been watching her for years now and love her game so it means a lot when she speaks of me with such grace."
"Ya, I've caught CC watching that presser probably five times now," Aliyah says throwing Caitlin to the wolves. Someone's got to do it right?
Caitlin playfully pushes Aliyah.
"Way to out me," Caitlin says and hides her face again.
There aren't many more questions asked and Caitlin feels like she is in the clear. That is until she gets a call from you.
"Hi," she says with a smile. She doesn't know it but you can tell by her tone when she is smiling.
"Five times, five times is a lot C," you tease her.
She is glad you aren't standing in front of her because the blush that had subsided from the presser is fully back. The truth is that she watched it 15+ times now.
"What can I say? I like watching people praise me," she says trying to speak with confidence.
"Isn't that cute," you say.
"And you are the one who is calling me right after I get out of a presser and you are calling me obsessed?" Caitlin asks.
"That's fair, I won't call next time," you say and Caitlin immediately says 'no'. You laugh and she is thankful you can't see how fast her face turned red.
The conversation is light and flirty before she has to go.
"I'll see you at All-Star weekend," you say, and are looking forward to seeing the rookie. It would be another fun match-up with you being on the Olympic team and her being an All-Star.
"I look forward to kicking your ass," she says, the confidence in her voice dominating over the phone.
You laugh and give her some nonsense response. You've learned she wouldn't talk a big game to the public but when it was just the two of you, that's a completely different story. To you, she talks a big game and you let her. You know she has the game to back it up but you also know you have the ability to slow her down and that is exactly what the plan is for your next meeting.
The weekend arrives and the fun begins. You are included in the starting lineup for the Olympic team while Caitlin is in the starting lineup for the All-Stars.
Your eyes meet hers and you smile. She returns it as you walk up to her. You greet her.
"You ready?" You ask as you pinch at her hip. She swats your hand and shakes her head but your hands are persistent.
"Oh I am more than ready," she says trying to hide her smile.
"Why don't we put a little skin in the game," you say as you lean into her.
"I win, I get to take you out," you say and Caitlin feels a heat rise in her.
"And what do I get if I win?" She chokes out.
"Whatever. You. Want," you say. Caitlin smirks.
"You're on," she says as the two of you shake on it.
The two of you go head-to-head in the game. Caitlin plays one of the best games she has in the W so far. You take note of how hard the girl is working but you also put in the work, having quite the game yourself.
In the final minutes, the score is tied. Your teams switch off points as the seconds wind down.
You have control of the ball, trying to set up the play. Caitlin is guarding you - poking her hand in to try to get the ball away from your hands. You turn and use the screen that Stewie sets up for you, stepping back you put up the three. As you come down, Cait gives you a little push causing you to fall to the ground but you just catch sight of the ball bouncing on and then out of the rim.
Caitlin then proceeds to stand over you, in the heat of the moment, showing you and the crowd that she is tough.
You get to your feet and bump her chest - exchanging a few words.
Someone comes and pushes you back from Cait while they grab Caitlin's arm but you don't back down, bumping Caitlin again.
By now both of your teams have gotten involved and the refs are trying to separate the two of you. As you feel yourself being pulled back you blow Caitlin a kiss.
You both receive techs.
In the final few seconds, all you have to do is not foul and play solid defense which you do, making Caitlin pass it for the final shot that doesn't fall. Team USA taking the victory.
As you celebrate with the team on the court, you also go and hug your opponents from the night making a conscious decision to end with Cait.
When you go in to hug her, you can tell she is moody.
"I'm picking you up at 10 tonight, be ready," you say and wink at her.
As much as Caitlin wanted to win, she couldn't help but be excited.
Once everyone clears out and makes their way back to the hotel, you quickly shower and head to pick Cait up.
When you get to her door and knock, she answers within seconds.
"Someone is a little eager," you joke and she blushes.
"Well it's 10:20 so technically you're late," she says.
You laugh.
"Okay C, come on," you say and lead her on a walk. The two of you talk and she opens up about her experience so far, asking you questions left and right. You answer every single one of them.
"Where are you taking me?" She asks, half expecting the two of you to just stay in her room.
"Patience, we are almost there," you say as you make a turn and Caitlin sees it.
You have brought her to an outdoor court. It is dimly lit and there is a single basketball laying on one side.
You jog to pick up the ball and she walks over to you.
"I just had the best game of my career so far and you want me to play more?" She asks trying to sound annoyed but she isn't annoyed at all.
"Thought we could play a little one-on-one," you say bouncing the ball between your legs before passing it to her. You can tell she is a little skeptical but goes along with it. She begins to bounce the ball and your hand immediately finds her hip, giving it a squeeze like you did before the last game. The same blush as before rose in her cheeks. She works her way around you but your arms wrap around her waist not letting her go anywhere.
"Foul," she yells as you pick her up with her still holding the ball.
"This isn't a normal game babe," you say and she gets the hint. You put her down, still standing right behind her with your hands on her hips. "Take a shot," you whisper in her ear as your lips graze her neck.
Caitlin swallows and puts up the shot missing it.
"That's not fair," she says turning around.
"Better luck next time," you say bringing your hand to graze her cheek. Your eyes go from her eyes down to her lips as you lean in painfully slow.
Caitlin grabs your shirt and anticipates your lips on hers. When they never come, she pouts.
You run to grab the ball and pass it to her again.
"No bucket, no kiss," you say and you can see her demeanor change.
Caitlin locks in.
"Oh it's on," she says as she is ready for the one-on-one action.
AN: Here you go! Let me know what you think! And as always, thank you for your love and support 🤍

calling my boyfriend my husband to see his reaction: lando norris x black fem social media influencer! reader
authors note: lets all pretend this trend isn't old now :) also feedback is highly appreciated and encouraged 🫶🏽
tw// anxiety mention, internet translated spanish
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you looked into the lens of your vlogging camera and sighed deeply in frustration, bringing your hands to your head and smoothing your palms over your slicked back hair. nearly a year ago you'd made reservations to visit the Canary Islands with your best friend as a girls trip. when the two of you were younger you'd learned about the islands during a geography class and promised one another that you'd visit when you all were older. the reality of being an adult in your young 20s hit harder than a freight train and the two of you nearly gave up on the trip as a whole because it was so costly. however, when your social media career took off and the brand endorsements, monetization, partnerships, and other deals rolled in the ability to take the trip became a reality.
now, you were only a week away from flying into Gran Canaria and of course a problem came up with the reservation for your first hotel. you explained in a whisper to the camera in front of you, "so i've been trying to fix this problem with our reservations. basically, they've cancelled one of the rooms and i've been emailing back and forth for two days and it's not getting anywhere so i'm gonna go call on the phone and see if that works better." you held your phone in one hand and paced around your hotel room, adding and taking things out of your suitcase nervously.
you muted yourself and picked up your camera to move to another room instead. peeking from behind the door your spoke quietly, "well, while we wait for someone to answer i've been wanting to do this tiktok trend and lando isn't doing anything...oddly enough so i'm taking my chance." a smile crept onto your face as your rounded the corner and saw your boyfriend sitting on the sofa typing away on his laptop. you placed your vlogging camera down on the table in the middle of the room so it still showed you in the frame. then, you moved and sat on the other end of the sofa and stretched your legs out so your feet were just touching the side of his thigh. he lightly flicked your socked foot with one of his fingers and wrinkled his nose, "your feet stink." the eye roll you made made him laugh and you shot back, "you're just smelling your upper lip." he pulled one of the throw pillows from behind his back and tossed it lightly at your face, "no that's your feet, you muppet." you burst into a fit of laughter and pulled the pillow into your chest, squeezing it when you heard the hold music stop on your phone.
an older man on the other line answered, "hello miss?" you unmuted yourself and responded, "yes?" he quickly informed you, "all of our english speaking representatives are busy right now please continue to hold." before you could even respond he put you back on hold making you clench your fist and raise it to the phone. your boyfriend asked you, "what's going on?" you swallowed back your frustration and explained, "the reservations jada and I have for our first hotel were cancelled or something because they're not showing up in my email or anything and i've been trying to sort it out for two days over email and nothing worked so now i'm calling and they don't have any representatives available. i told them i can use a spanish speaker but they cut me off and i just don't have time for this. i'm freaking out because we get back to monaco in two days and the guest room isn't ready and jada is flying in right after we get back. and on top of it i didn't remember to book a hair appointment while we were here so i'm gonna have to go on vacation with my natural hair- i'm gonna have to wear a swim cap in the ocean-" the minute that last realization dawned on you tears began to well in your eyes. you felt your stomach drop and your chest tighten as you were reminded of the many things you had to get done in a short time span. a heavy feeling of panic coursed through your veins in the most nauseating and unsettling way possible.
before you could even spiral further into a full blown anxiety attack lando cut you off, "hey hey take a deep breath. relax for me okay? don't get yourself worked up, we can fix this, yeah?" he held one of your socked feet in his hand, his thumb and pointer finger pressing into a specific spot on your foot out of routine habit. he asked you, "do you remember i had to put two of the reservations under my name?" when your brows furrowed he reminded you, "they were telling you that there weren't any rooms available so we called back later and they found a room for you and under my name." suddenly you did in fact remember that small detail from a year ago that slipped your mind the minute after it was handled. a soft, "oh....y'know after you said that it's now starting to ring some bells." an awkward laugh fell past your lips and you wiped the tear that only made it halfway down your cheek.
lando let his thumb rub circular motions into the pressure point on your foot as he continued, "baby, don't worry about your hair, we can find a stylist to do it before we leave even if you have to stay an extra day and fly back without me. when we get home i'll help you pack your bags so it can get done faster, okay? the guest room is ready because i set it up before we left because i knew you'd worry. everything will be fine, angel." you sniffled and mumbled through a pout, "thank you..." you slowed your breathing, thanking the gods above that your boyfriend was literally perfect.
right as you were about to thank lando, the representative on the phone ended the hold music. quickly you picked up the phone and rushed out, "hello? hola?" a woman now spoke on the other line, "buenos días señora. me dijeron que creías que una de sus reservas había sido cancelada sin su aprobación, ¿es correcto?" you immediately switched from english and answered, "sí, me equivoqué. mi esposo colocó la reserva a su nombre en lugar del mío cuando hicimos la reserva el año pasado. " "Good morning ma'am. They told me that you believed one of their bookings had been cancelled without their approval, is that correct?" // "Yes, I was wrong. My husband placed the reservation in his name instead of mine when we made the reservation last year."
lando's head shot up from his laptop when he heard the word "esposo". although his spanish vocabulary was extremely limited, he recognized a few words, and he knew for a fact that you just called him your husband. you pretended not to notice him staring at you as the representative responded, "entiendo que esto sucede muy a menudo con nuestros huéspedes y sus cónyuges." you lightly chuckled and replied, "sí, ¡especialmente cuando la reserva se hizo hace tanto tiempo! pero, antes de colgar. ¿podrían confirmar la reserva si les digo el nombre de mi esposo?" I understand that this happens very often with our guests and their spouses. // yes, especially when the reservation was made so long ago! but, before hanging up. could you confirm the booking if I tell you my husband's name?
your boyfriend watched mesmerized as the foreign language fell effortlessly past your lips. studying in both high school and university left you with a high level of understanding to the point where you could speak well if you chose to...much to his dismay, you often refused because you were convinced you didn't "speak it right". in the back of your head you knew he'd remind you of this as a way to hear you speak spanish more often, even if he didn't understand much of it.
the representative asked in english, "what is the name?" you tried to hide the smug tone and grin as you responded clearly, "my husband's name is lando norris." your eyes remained glued on the pillow between your arms until you slowly dragged your gaze to meet his. that same look that made his whole body heat up with one simple stare, and if you hadn't lifted your head and smiled brightly things would have turned out much differently in that moment. the representative snapped him out of his thoughts when he happily confirmed that the reservation still stood before you hung up.
not even a second after your phone was off lando looked at you expectantly making you laugh. pretending not to notice anything you stood up and said, "i'm going to go call jada and tell her everything is fine." as you shuffled away lando stood up and looped his thumb gently through the strands of beads that sat between your waist and hips. you turned to face him and felt his warm hands against the small of your back, toying with the glass beads until he felt the one he claimed as his. you shyly asked, "why are you staring at me like that?"
your boyfriend asked, "your husband? you want to marry me?" you turned your head away to dodge his kisses and said playfully, "no i just said that so the guy would give me the information i wanted. it was a name drop and a tiktok trend, nothing more." lando slipped his hands from beneath your shirt and squeezed your side suddenly making you jump in surprise, "stop it that tickles!" he pushed you gently back to the sofa, not letting up and saying, "not until you admit that you actually love me." you tapped out on his back and caved not even ten seconds later, "fine! i love you now stop it i can't breathe!" instantly his hands were off of your stomach and grinned cheekily, "i love you too."

Summary: Kate goes on live saying the famous beauty influencer N/n L/n is her celebrity crush
posted: July 25, 2024
Tumblr media
The question that started it all:
Jada was live and Kate was seen in the background listening and scrolling on her phone. Jada was looking through the comments trying to find something to respond to.
katemartinsgf: who’s yall celebrity crush??
“My celebrity crush is my boyfriend. What about you Kate?” She looked up. “What?”
“Who’s your celebrity crush?” She got up with a smile super excited to talk about you.
“It’s that one girl, she goes to umich and she does like day in the life and like get ready with me’s. I forgot her name!”
The comments immediately knew who she was talking about.
user1: OMG N/N L/N
user2: ITS N/N L/N
user3: OMG N/N L/N I LOVE HER SHES SO FUNNY
user4: N/N L/N
“Everyone’s saying N/n L/n.”
“Yes, that’s her! She’s so pretty oh my god.” Kate talked about you the whole live.
That one clip went viral, but you never seen it.
______
You were scrolling on TikTok, and your notifications went crazy. People kept tagging you in this video, but you never checked it and just silenced mentions.
Thank God your friend asked if you wanted to go to the basketball game next week.
How N/n and Kate met:
“Hey guys! So today we are going to a basketball game. A girls basketball game because women sports are better and more entertaining.” You were vlogging your time before, during, and after the game and you were with your friend in the wolverine colors.
“Who’s playing?” You ask your friend.
“I think Iowa and I heard that they’re good so this will be fun.” They responded.
_____
“So we’re getting some snacks from the vending machine because the food that they sell is-.” Your friend cut you off.
“Fucking terrible! Omg did I tell you when I literally got food poisoning from it? Almost died for real.” You were shocked because they never told you that. They laughed at your reaction.
______
While you guys were getting snacks the Iowa team were coming into the locker room. While they were walking Kate saw you at the vending machine and freaked out.
“Jada! Jada! Look who’s at the vending machine!” She looked and started going crazy with Kate. Gabbie saw this and just had to ask. “Why are yall freaking out?” They just pointed to the vending machine.
“Oh my god! Is that N/n L/n?!” They nodded out of excitement.
“Kate get her number!” Jada exclaimed. Kate looked at her with wide eyes. “What! No!”
“Why not? Just go!” She pushed Kate and you saw her, and it looked like she tripped so you went up to her.
“Oh my god! Are you okay?” She looked up and widened her eyes. “Yea yea I’m fine thanks for asking.” You looked at her and your jaw actually dropped. Her height alone was very attractive and her eyes oh my. "Oh ok, wait are you on Iowa?"
"Uh yea I was just going to the locker room."
"Oh well I'm Y/n or N/n whatever you feel comfortable with."
"I'm Kate." She smiled and turned to Jada; Jada mouthed "get her number now!" She turned back to you. "Do you think I can get your number?" You raised your eyebrows, and you looked shocked. "If you're not into girls its fine I'll just go-."
"No, it's fine and yea you can get my number." You gave it to her and went back to your friend who was recording the whole thing. Jada was jumping up and down out of excitement when Kate came back.
After the game you started editing your video and left in your interaction with Kate and the comments went crazy.
user5: I just know Kate is happy asf 💀
user6: AHHHH IT HAPPENED
user7: our dream came true guys
user8: they better get together istg
user9: this cured my depression
First facetime:
You and Kate have been texting back and forth with each other even if you guys live a few states apart it never stopped you guys from liking each other. Then you suggested that you guys should facetime more, and Kate freaked out.
_____
"She wants to facetime! Do I look okay?" Kate asked Jada as she was trying to fix her hair. "Yes, Kate you look fine."
Then you called. "Oh my god she's calling!"
"Then answer it, Kate."
_____
"Hey N/n"
"Hey Kate. Wait I feel like you should have a nickname too." She smiles. "Oh yea? What should it be?" You shrugged. "I don't know like martin the martian or something." She busted out laughing. "Extra points for creativity N/n." You smile. "Thanks! Really thought about it."
You guys fell asleep on the phone together.
When Kate and Y/n finally became girlfriend and girlfriend:
Kate was planning to fly to Michigan to visit you and you were very happy. Her plane just landed, and you are almost on your way to pick her up.
_____
You saw her come out and got out of the car to hug her. You jumped in her arms, and she dropped her bag.
"Hey N/n."
"Hey martin the martian." You guys got in the car and drove to your apartment.
_____
You guys are watching a movie, and you guys were on the part where the guy asks the girl to be his girlfriend. "That is so cute. So simple but so cute." You said and Kate looked at you. "So, you don't want anything extravagant?" You shook your head. "I feel like something private between two people is better than something public."
"So do you want to be my girlfriend?" You look at her in shock. "Are you serious?!" She nodded. "Yea I'll be your girlfriend." You smiled.
When Y/n surprised Kate:
You and Kate haven't seen each other in three months. Since it was winter it was very hard to find a flight that wasn't getting delayed or cancelled but luckily you found one and are on your way to Iowa now.
You told Kate that there was a big snowstorm coming and you couldn't come until next week. That was obviously a lie. You were informed by Caitlin that there was a team dinner tonight and you should surprise her there. Right now, you are vlogging your trip to Iowa and now in a hotel room with Caitlin. "Alright guys I'm in Iowa right now with Cait." "Hey everybody!" She yelled. "But we are getting ready for the team dinner and surprise Kate. So, this will cut to when we're ready."
______
"Hey guys so Y/n is still not ready so I will be occupying you guys." Cait said while setting up the camera. Before she can you came in. "Oh my god she's here guys."
"I did not take that long!" Cait just rolled her eyes. You picked up the camera. "Ok so we are going to show our outfits even though they're basic black dresses." You flipped the camera to show Cait and she started posing dramatically. Then took the camera to show you and you did the same thing you both laughed, and it cut to you hiding in the bathroom of the restaurant.
______
"Right now, I'm hiding in the bathroom waiting for my signal." You said while whispering. "Jada is going to knock on the stall and Ima come out. We are doing it after dinner so I'm going to be here for about an hour but it's fine because I'm playing episode, and this story is so good oh my." After an hour passed Jada knocked on the stall and you rushed out and Jada was holding your camera. "Is it recording?" You shook your head and turned it on. "She was literally talking about you the whole dinner." You laughed. "No really, she was like 'I miss N/n' 'I'm seeing her next week, but I wanted to see her today.' You took the camera from Jada.
"Yall heard that? My bae loves me."
"No, she actually does guys." You and Jada laughed.
______
The team was getting ready to leave when Coach said they're going to take a picture. Lisa was in on it, and she saw you and asked to take a picture. "Hey, can you take a picture of us?" She says smiling. "Yea of course." Kate recognized your voice but didn't turn around because you're not here anyway. You took her phone to take the picture and Kate's jaw dropped and her eyes widened. You took the picture. "We should retake it because Kate's face ruins the photo." You said laughing. She ran up to hug you. "What about the snowstorm?"
"Babe there was no snowstorm."
______
When you guys got home you went to edit the video after spending time with Kate and the team. "What are you titling it?"
'Surprising my Iowa bae'
She laughed and you posted it.
user10: this is so cute omg
user11: I LOVE THEM OMG
user12: THIS IS HOW I FOUND OUT????
N/nreplied: girl where you been 🧍‍♀️
Random N/n and Kate video:
You and Kate were going to eat dinner together. They got Culvers when Kate had an idea for a video. They were going to eat while answering questions.
"Hello everyone, today we are going to be answering questions that you guys have. I was going to do something like this, but Kate wanted to do a video so bad."
"Not true." You just looked at her. "Okay before she starts lying even more, we are going to start."
_____
"Alright them what you got babe." Kate started showing her food. I got the cod fish burger withe extra tartar sauce with fries and a lemonade."
"She has to be healthy because she's an athlete or whatever, But I got a double butter burger with a large fry and a large Dr. Pepper. Also, some vanilla custard." She looked at you. "You're so big."
"Shut up! Ok let's eat and answer your questions!"
What's one thing you guys like about each other? And one thing you hate?
"I like Kate's smile and I hate when she makes a joke and she like looks around to make sure you laughed, and she always looks a dad waiting for his kids to laugh with like a huge smile on her face." She was laughing. "No, I don't!"
"Yes, you do!"
"My favorite thing about N/n is her humor and one thing I hate is how she makes fun of me." That made you burst out laughing. "I don't make fun of you." She looked at the camera with her jaw dropped. "Shes lying to you."
Favorite memory of each other?
They both were silent, trying to think of their favorite memory. "I don't really have one." Kate said and you nodded. "We only been dating for like six months-."
"Seven." Kate corrected. "Sorry seven months and we only spent like four of those together, so we don't really have that much." You shrugged.
First impression of each other?
"When I first saw N/n for the first time I freaked out you can ask Jada. I freaked out."
"Was that the first time you saw me in person?" She nodded.
"My first impression of Kate was I thought she was clumsy because I thought she tripped and then seeing her up close I was very attracted to her."
"Awwww you love me!" You rolled your eyes at her statement.
_____
After a few more questions, you ended the video and posted it without editing.
user13: them arguing is hilarious
user14: N/n and Kate world domination
user15: KATE CALLING N/N BIG BYEEEE
user16: i love their relationship like when is it my turn :(
The WNBA draft:
"Good morning! Today is the WNBA draft and Kate is getting drafted-."
"We don't know that for sure!"
"Shut up!" You wanted to vlog Kate drafted because you know it's going to happen. "Kate doesn't think she's getting drafted, but I believe that my bae is getting drafted."
______
"Ok guys were getting ready and looks who's here!" You pan the camera to Jada and Gabbie, and they cheered. "So, I know some people here, but I never really watched college sports since I met Kate soo and from the people I had seen so far. By far the most attractive women I ever seen." Everyone laughed. "So yall know the drill we are going to be ready after this cut."
______
"Look at us!' Kate exclaimed. "We are on our way to the draft guys. I'm so excited!" You said.
______
"So, we are in our seats, and I don't know if I'm allowed to film so you guys are in my lap." You whispered. "We are almost done on the first round of picks and Kate will be chosen the second round."
"You don't know that." She whispered back and you just ignored her.
"She will be picked."
______
On the 17th pick you are starting to get nervous because Kate didn't get chosen yet. They are about to announce the 18th pick for the Las Vegas Aces.
"For the 18th pick of the 2024 WNBA draft the Las Vegas Aces select.... Kate Martin." You screamed out of joy and jumped up causing your camera to fall. You hugged and kissed her with a huge smile on your face. You picked up your camera real fast so you can film Kate holding the jersey.
______
"My Martin the Martian is a Las Vegas Ace!!!" You screamed in the camera with an Aces hat on. "Guys didn't I say she was going to get picked? Yea and guess what happened? She got picked!"
Since you were so happy you completely forgot that Kate will be all the way in Las Vegas.
user17: YESSSSSS SHES AN ACE
user18: I love how supportive N/n is 😍
user19: THE CAMERA BYEEEE

Character: mob!Loki Laufeyson
Sister series to mob!Thor
Summary: you make a new friend, but that’s not all. (short reader)
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. I’m happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging ❤️
Tumblr media
The cafe is not very busy. You’re relieved. It’s been a strange morning. Jada offered to make you coffee. After last night, her kindness is even more suspicious. It’s not like her to do anything without a motive.
You sit and mull her sudden change in attitude. There’s only one thing’s that changed that makes any sense. This is about Thor! She knows you went berry picking with him and then you went to his house. She recognised him before you did and even now, you don’t really know too much about what makes him so famous.
Jada always said she hated having you as her hanger-on. That she couldn’t wait to be rid of you. She’s only jealous because you made a friend better than any of hers. That has to be it. Mystery solved!
You’re not stupid enough to tell her off to her face. If anything, your sister is spiteful. Maybe, just for now, you’ll accept her little favours. After all, for as mean as she’s been, you deserve a bit of peace. And she’ll deserve the tiny taste of vengeance when you don’t let her use you to get close to Thor.
You stare out the window, one hand on your mug, a cinnamon latte dolloped in cream, and your other under your chin. It’s not a bad day out. Sunny. It takes you back to the gazebo and the birds. You wonder what Queenie’s doing. Should you message her? You don’t want to smother her.
“Pardon, is this seat taken?” The silky timbre brings you upright in your chair.
A smile breaks across your face, “Loki! What are you doing here?”
His cheek ticks, “may I sit?”
“Oh, of course,” you pull your mug closer.
He lowers himself into the seat across from you. He has a paper cup in hand, black coffee darkening the interior. He sniffs and looks down his nose at your drink.
“What is that monstrosity?”
“Cinnamon bun latte!” You explain. “It’s delicious.”
“Full of sugar,” he girds.
“I don’t like bitter coffee,” you grimace.
“Then you don’t like coffee,” he rebukes.
“Not really. I’m aware of my caffeine addiction,” you shrug. “I’m so happy to see you. What are the odds?”
His green eyes flick dulcetly to your face, “it is not by chance. My brother’s... companion requires company.”
“Queenie?” You brighten up. He nods and hums. “Oh, I was just thinking of her.”
“How convenient,” he slithers.
Silence swells between you. You sip your latte to stave of the tension as he watches. His gaze is intense, it makes you want to melt. You know he’s judging you.
You touch your nose, “do I have cream?”
One corner of his mouth curves, “no cream.”
“Mm, okay,” you pout.
“You don’t happen to be hiding from your sister? Did she cause you more trouble?” He wonders as his eyes narrow.
“Jada? No, she’s been... weird.”
“Hm,” he nods. “Would you prefer to stay and finish or shall we be on our way?”
“Oh, uh, if you’d rather go now, sure,” you stand and knock the table. The latte tips and splashes your shirt and pants.
You pick it up but too late. Most of it is gone and you’re soaked. Loki moves so quick, you think he’s running away in humiliation. He simply swipes up a handful of napkins from the counter and returns to you. You thank him as you take a few and dab at your clothing.
“I can be so clumsy,” you mope. “Sorry.”
“Are you burned?” He leans over you as he watches you sop up the mess.
“No, I’m okay. There was so much sugary cream that it wasn’t very hot,” you look up at him with a grin. His brows draw together at your joke.
“Mm, you are clever when you want to be. Would you like a replacement before we’re off?”
“No, it’s fine. I think maybe the universe agrees with you. I don’t need it.” You take more napkins and press them to the fabric until you’re mostly dry.
“I could drive you to your home if you require a change.”
“That’s a lot of back and forth. I’ll survive a bit of damp clothing.”
“It will stain, won’t it?”
You look down at the floral fabric and the matching purple pants. It might but you’ll just be with Queenie. She won’t mind.
“Just clothes,” you shrug.
He clucks, “very well, I suppose.”
He brushes by you and wipes off the table top. The smell of cinnamon stirs with your efforts. A barista approaches with a roll of paper towel.
“Here,” she smiles, “we’re making you a new drink.”
“What? You don’t have to,” you take the roll. “Thank you.”
“Of course. You’re here all the time.” She says, “don’t worry too much, we have a mop. We can get the rest.”
“Oh, uh, thanks, again,” you babble.
She goes back to the counter and you turn back to Loki as he watches her goes. He wears a pensive expression. “You make rather a lot of friends wherever you go.”
“Friends? She’s just being nice,” you say. “Like me. I try to, anyway.”
He says nothing and bunches up the wet napkin. He opens his hand to take yours and you give them over. He takes them to the bin and dumps them. You gather up your purse and empty cup and follow. You drop it in as they call your name at the counter.
You go over and take your new drink, “thank you so so much.”
“Have a good day,” the barista trills.
You grin and turn to Loki as he takes his cup from the table and meets you at the door. He opens it for you and you thank him. You bop toward your house and he huffs.
“Wrong way,” he reproaches.
You stop and turn back to him, “oops. Habit. Oh, I see your car.” You point past him and scurry over. “Did I tell you how much I love that colour? Green is such a... regal colour, don’t you think?”
“Regal?” He echoes.
“Oh sure; jade, forest, emerald, even citrine has a certain vibe.”
“Vibe...” he drawls.
“Oop, I’m sorry, I’m rambling again. I know you prefer silence.” You touch your mouth apologetically. “I’ll zip it.” You pretend to turn a key and put it in your pocket.
You peek over at his slightly less agitated expression. Jada is sometimes mean for no reason but she is right that you talk a bit too much. You smile and he turns his attention to the path ahead.
“I don’t mind conversation,” he says. “So long as it isn’t inane.”

“Baby hold on, there are other people in the apartment right now.” I say as Kate tries to take off my shorts. “It’s fine, you just have to be quiet and-“
“Me and you both know I cannot be quiet if I tried” I say. “Cmon baby I missed you so much since I was on the road, and I want to make up for lost time.” Says Kate as she looks up at me while kissing the inside of my thighs which makes my insides warm. “I swear this is the only time you’re ever going to convince me to do this.” She smirks proudly and bunches my panties and shorts together to pull them down. As soon as they come off my legs automatically spread.
“You’re so wet for me beautiful, I love it.” Kate says admiring my cunt. “Of course I am.” My breath picks up, anticipating the pleasure. “Just be quiet for me, I promise it’ll be worth it.” She takes a long lick, following up with a kiss to my bundle of nerves. “You taste so good my love, I wish I could eat you forever.” “I wish you would shut up and get to it before I change my mind.” “That’s how it is? Bet”
Kate immediately swirls her tongue around my clit, pushing two of her fingers into my cunt hastily, as I cry out.
“Fuckk, baby wait.” I plead; she laughs into my cunt, the vibrations intensifying the feeling. Kate smacks my thigh “You were talking all that shit can’t take it? Shut up before someone hears you.” “I’m sorry.” I choke out.
I close my eyes trying to focus on not alarming the people outside of her room. Fingers pumping in out my cunt, while her thumb rubs my clit skillfully. I feel a hand wrap around my throat feverishly. I pop open my eyes to see Kate giving me a warning glare. “You better keep your eyes open while I fuck you baby.”
I whimper, as tears start to fall from my face. “Pleaseee sss-loww down.” She smirks pausing her movement. “Whatever you want sweetheart.” Kate starts kissing my stomach slowly, runching my shirt up and taking it off of me. “I could never get tired of this view.” I blush hard, as I turn into the pillow next to me. “Let me see you beautiful.” Hovering over me, she turns my head to her and kisses me like she hasn’t seen me in months. I rub up and down her toned stomach, trying to tug her sweats down. She stops my hand. “I want this to be about you first love.” I mutter an “ok” letting my hand slip into her hair.
Kate bends down sucking on my neck, leaving a mark I know that’s going to be there for days. She kisses her way down to my breasts and swirls her tongue around my nipple needily, going back and forth between my breasts ensuring both get attention.
“Omggg Kate, that feels sooo good”
“Say my name again.” She whispers into my ear.
“Kateeee-“ A knock sounds at the door.
My whole body freezes but Kate is unbothered as she stuffs a finger into my cunt.
“Kate can I have my computer charger back, my MacBooks dying.” Jade says, wrestling with the door knob. “Why is the door locked?” She questions.
“Hold on give me a minute.” Kate shouts at the door, while removing her finger from inside me.
She opens her top drawer taking out a vibrator, setting it on my clit. I smack a hand over my mouth as waves of pleasure hit me fast.
“I’ll be back baby, be quiet” she says kissing my cheek.
Kate gets off the bed bending down to unplug Jades charger from the socket, rolling it up neatly. She walks over to the door, unlocking it and cracking it slightly so my whole body wasn’t visible, only my foot.
“Here you go” she says handing Jade her charger.
“Thanks but why was the door locked?”
Kate looks back at me smirking, “No reason.”
“Oh hell no, are you guys fucking in there.” Shouts Jade.
Kate laughs locking the door again, then walking back to me.
“Good girl, you didn’t make any noise, you deserve a reward.” She takes the vibrator off my clit and starts eating me out like she’s been starving.

Hard Messages From Love
Tumblr media
Hi, Hexlings!
This pick-a-card reading is all about messages from love itself. If you were looking for a sign from any kind of delusions...this is it. Hopefully this isn't too harsh.
This is a general reading, remember to take what resonates and leave what does not. This reading does not supplement your need to seek professional help. Tarot should be used as entertainment and not a for sure answer to your problems but as a guide, a sense of hope, and amusement.
Take your time when choosing your pile. Ask yourself the question and choose the picture that you can’t stop looking at. Listen to your intuition.

Pile l:
Messages from love? Tarot: 2 of Swords, 9 of Pentacles (reversed), 9 of Swords, The World, The Chariot (reversed), 10 of Pentacles.
Things that may surround your mind about love? Give me a sign if things should end or if I am being paranoid. I can't eat or sleep about a decision. I feel suffocated by this person and I don't want to feel this way or leave them. I need to follow my heart but what if my heart is wrong? I deserve someone who shows and gives me the world. This person deserves the world and more than what I can give them.
Pop Culture Reference: Pride and Prejudice Move (2005)
Message: Someone here has been on your mind for quite some time. For some of you, this is a decision that you need to make regarding breaking up and for others of you this is regarding following your heart. Following your heart can go two ways: 1) breaking up or 2) giving someone you have "friend-zoned" a chance at dating you. Either way, your overall message is to follow your heart. Make the tough decision that needs to be made and stop second-guessing everything. If you haven't been happy in a long time in your relationship then it's time to leave. If you know dating someone would bring you great joy it's either you date them or be upfront and honest by telling them you are either scared or just don't want to be with them. Either way, you need to let that person be free to date someone who actually wants to be with them or has the guts to go after what they want. There is no long-term benefit of stringing someone along. This pile is also about the required action that needs to be taken place. There are so many things in this pile that are impossible to mention, but you deep down know what this required action is. It's the action that will give you freedom from the torment of your mind. This group reminds me of the scene in Pride and Prejudice where Mr. Darcy says "Miss Elizabeth. I have struggled in vain and I can bear it no longer. These past few months have been a torment. I came to Rosings with the single object of seeing you. I had to see you. I have fought against my better judgment, my family's expectations, the inferiority of your birth, my rank, and circumstances. All these things I am willing to put aside and ask you to end my agony." (Yes, I had to put the entire iconic quote in this reading). Do the thing that needs to be done. Have the courage to either go after what you want or end what needs to be ended. No one can make or do these decisions for you. Just do it.
Tumblr media
Pile ll:
Messages from love? Tarot: The Sun, Strength, The Tower (reversed), The Wheel, 2 of Swords (reversed), Death
Things that may surround your mind about love? Is this ever going to end? But I can't give them up. They will be back. They always come back. I want to be happy with only them. I need them. Ride or Die. Bad Marriage/relationship for life.
Pop Culture Reference: Round and Round by Selena Gomez, Will and Jada Smith's marriage
Message:
"We're going 'round and 'round, We're never gonna stop going 'Round and 'round, We'll never get where we're going, Round and 'round, Well, you're gonna miss me, 'cause I'm getting dizzy, Going 'round and 'round and 'round" - Selena Gomez. This pile somewhat was attracted to some degree to pile l. This pile is all about prolonging the inevitable when regarding a person. The tower card is in reverse and the death card is also here. There is a change that needs to happen between you and whoever this pile is about. The rain may fall today and tomorrow but eventually, you're going to have to give way and make room for the sun that desperately wants to clear some of the toxic patterns and unfulfilled desires that have plagued you for some time now. Just because someone keeps coming back into your life doesn't mean they are for you. Just because you have been with someone for a while does not mean you have to keep dealing with them because of history. History is great but also lessons are never learned there and you are not learning your lesson from the past history of this person or anyone else you have dealt with that is similar to them that you seem to not being able to escape. It's time to end the cycles you keep repeating. There is nothing romantic about struggling and settling. There is nothing cute about being a "ride or die" especially when that ride or die would watch you die. It's time to pull yourself by the bootstraps and end the cycles. You can't keep wondering why life gives you the same people with different bodies when all you do is continue to go after them or allow them to entertain you. Love wants you to know a change is coming and you're not going to like it. You may be left heartbroken to the point you may be turned off from love or people in general but you forced love's hand to do something you were not willing to.
Tumblr media
Pile lll:
Messages from love? Tarot: The Emperor (reversed), 8 of Swords, Knight of Swords, 3 of Cups, Strength.
Things that may surround your mind about love? Speak no evil. See no evil. Hear no evil. Ignorance is bliss. I can fix him/her/them. Misunderstood. Little Red RIding Hood.
Pop Culture Reference: DW from Arthur "This sign can't stop me because I can't read." Link "This is your man. That's mine and I'm going to stick beside him." Link In My Head by Ariana Grande / Papa Don't Preach by Madonna
Message:
This pile might be attracted to pile ll but not all that much. This pile is for those who know someone isn't good for them but keep hanging around them. Your friends and family have told you this person isn't who you think they are or aren't how you keep trying to paint them. It's as if you keep trying to gaslight yourself into staying with this person because of the potential or the made-up version you have of them in your head. "My imagination's too creative, They see demon, I see angel, angel, angel, Without a halo, wingless angel" - Ariana Grande. You have the blindfolds on in this connection or about this person and you refused to take the blindfolds off all because what might either be of three reasons: 1) FOMO, the fear you might miss out on if this person does change or does something spectacular like get a record deal or win the lottery. 2) You have some sort of spiritual tie to this person through sex. For those who don't know yes, you can have an energetic pull or tie to someone through sex. If you find yourself in a dead-end relationship where you can't truly give substantial reasons as to why you aren't leaving even though you know the relationship has resulted in nothing but sex and history....soul tie. Or for most people it can be a codependency. 3) They suckered you into their web of victim mentality where they told you everybody has left them and basically uses the same techniques as an abuser to hook people into them to not leave. You remind me of the story of Little Red Riding Hood where it's quite obvious the wolf is a wolf and not her grandma but Little Red kept ignoring the signs of being in danger of the wolf. It's okay to lose out on someone. It's okay to want to be someone's cheerleader and see the potential in someone. What is not okay is when the person doesn't change or show these potentials that you know are somewhere in them. There is a saying that people change who they want to change for and unfortunately that person might not be you and that's okay because there is better out there who will or can match the person you want in your head and you have to stop to forcing those who don't want to be that person into that box.
Tumblr media
Pile lV:
Messages from love? Tarot: 9 of Swords, Hange MAn, 5 of Wands, 5 of Swords, Queen of Wands, 9 of Pentacles (reversed).
Things that may surround your mind about love? They've changed. This time is different. Nobody is perfect. The heart wants what it wants.
Pop Culture Reference: Hanging on by Kim Wilde. Heart Wants What it Wants by Selena Gomez. 27 Dresses Movie.
Message:
It seems every pile might have two piles they may have been attracted to and pile lV you are no exception. You may have also been attracted to pile lll. Instead of having a blindfold on like pile lll when it comes to others or connections, you don't see your worth when it comes to matters of the heart. You constantly allow others to play you and you keep allowing them to because of the kind heart you have thinking that people change and maybe this time is different. It's wild how you would go to bat for people who treat you horribly but they won't do the same for you and for some of you you're okay with that because you feel you don't deserve healthy love or connections. Others of you, you secretly crave wanting someone to show you the same kind of love that you show others but low self-esteem as well as possibly history from dating people who don't speak positively to you have made you to believe you don't deserve that kind of love. You remind me of those who feel that they will always be the bridesmaid but never the bride, similar to 27 dresses. The main character was after a man who didn't even know she existed outside of her job (she loves her boss) and was always there for other people even when they were selfish and weren't there for her. You have such a big heart to give to others, but it's time to give your heart to those who deserve it. Stop allowing those who don't see your worth to treat you any kind of way. See a spade as a spade and not an Ace (again similar to pile lll). I don't know you pile lV but I wish I did so I can give you a big hug because you deserve all the greatness and beauty of this world. You shouldn't have to fight for a spot in anyone's life nor fight to have the love you deserve from others. It's time to pour that love you give to others back into yourself and attract healthy and loving relationships and people into your life.
Thank you for liking and reblogging my readings. I always appreciate you guys on here and on Patreon.

The plane ride to Albany was a little tense. You wanted to go in support of the team because this was a game on neutral ground. You guys had made it to the elite eight and that was something you all wanted but had to fight like hell to get. You were only an assistant trainer, theoretically, you didn't have to be here, but you wanted to be here for Kate and the girls. Your best friends. The girls managed to make sweet sixteen and won, and now it was time for the elite eight.
You and Kate haven't talked about the night in your living room. You guys just seemed to pick back up where it was to begin with. Jada thought it was great but was also concerned about the will of self-control you two had to have.
Caitlin eventually found out, pressing Kate about why she had been a ray of sunshine for the last month. She had become the biggest shipper and supporter of you both. Her, Jada, and now Gabbie had known and it felt okay. No hard feelings or bitterness.
"What room are you staying in tonight?" Kate whispered as she tried to put her face in the small gap between your seat and the side of the plane, you both having window seats in stacked rows.
"Uh, might have to delete this from the vlog, Kate." You give her a small pointed look as you turn your body, pointing to the small camera you had been using to record a vlog for an Athletic Trainers day in the life.
"Oh shit, I'm sorry." Kate laughed, knowing how that might have sounded.
"No, it's fine. But I'm technically under staff, not a student, so I'm staying on the same floor as Lisa, the assistant coaches, and other staff. Why?" She had a small frown after she realized you guys weren't on the same floor tonight.
"Because I want to sleep close to you."  You were quite confused as she had never had this issue before. It was okay on past travel games because she had Caitlin or Jada, but she was sort of attached to your hip since that night, but you didn't think it was going to be a problem.
You looked around, seeing AJ and Molly asleep right next to you, before looking back into the crack between your seats. "Isn't that against the whole, not starting a relationship thing, Kate?" You gave her a soft smile, finding it cute and endearing that she wanted to be close to you.
"I never said we had to share the same bed, I just said I wanted to be close to you. You know, like the apartment?" Your guys' rooms were right next to each other's in the apartment back home.
"I promise you'll be okay Kate. You can call me in the morning and I'll go to your room to get ready if you want me to?” You suggested, turning your camera completely off after you stopped recording. You set it down inside the bag at your feet before sliding on your headphones.
You had Chappel Roan playing, the irony in the song that was blasting through your beats, ‘Good Luck Babe!’, and your arm resting on the armrest where you had previously had your face talking to Kate when you felt a hand tap your forearm. You lifted your head from resting on your fist and looked down. Her hand extended palm to you. You frowned softly, appreciating the small acts of affection Kate was always willing to give you.
You got up on your knees, and looked over the seat, spotting Kate's head resting against the back of your seat, looking down on her phone, sacrificing better posture just to simply be close with you. You sat back down normally, sparing your exposure to spying on Kate, and placed your hand in hers. You two interlocked your fingers and held hands.
You both knew this wasn't out of the ordinary. But something felt so different about it this time. Knowing the connection you two share and the love you two have for one another is something that hangs a thick fog of tension and uncertainty about what to do with all the emotions. You took a picture of your hands, wanting to capture the small moments of intimacy.
You truly loved this girl with your whole heart and you were so willing to give it all to her if she wanted it.
A free day in Albany was granted before getting back to work the next day. So the staff, including you, and the team were free to explore together or separately. It was a lot of the girls' first time in New York so everyone wanted to go sightseeing. You had been looking for an outfit to wear, not much to throw together since you packed a lot of lounging clothes and your Hawkeye gear for the games, when there was a knock at your door. You assumed it was Jada having talked to her on the phone not that long ago talking about getting ready, letting her know what room you were in. "Coming, Jada!" You shouted from the edge of your bed, throwing your clothes back in your suitcase.
"Not Jada." Kate smiled when you opened the door for her and let her in. You laughed and told her it was because you were also expecting Jada.
"Kate, I cannot find an outfit." You looked too stressed for a small team exploration outing. You sighed as you proceeded to dig through the suitcase some more.
"Relax, you'll find something. Let me see what you have." Kate walked over, standing impossibly close next to you while she helped neatly pick out clothes and placed them on the bed still neatly folded. She picked what seemed to be your black flare leggings and your all-black long-sleeve. "That's cute. What shoes did you bring?"
You looked at her, jaw dropped. There was no way the most plain, midwestern masc, was dressing you in something cute. You pointed to the black and yellow dunks that the Iowa staff gifted you this season. "Okay, wear those shoes with your Iowa puffer vest? Basic but still you." Kate shrugged, mumbling a small 'I don't know though.'
"I love it. Thank you, Kate." You smiled softly, disappearing into the bathroom. She nodded softly, before sitting down on the edge of the bed, placing some clothes back into your suitcase, before sipping on the water she had in her hands. Your phone pinged.
Notification from Jada, texting she was on the way up to the room. "Jada's on her way," Kate said, pausing after seeing your lock screen. The picture of you and Kate holding hands. Her cheeks turned red, sudden butterflies in her belly and her palms growing clammy, it didn't help you came out of the bathroom, fully dressed. You looked so beautiful…she was in deep.
"How do I look?" You asked, posing with hands on your hips. You saw how red her face was, and the way she just slowly dragged her eyes up your body. It made you shuffle of nervousness, suddenly so nervous under her gaze.
"So gorgeous, sunshine." The nickname gave you butterflies, not having heard in a while. Not since before you confessed your feelings to her. Suddenly that name felt like you were carrying a new title to her.
"You think? Looks like you know to dress after all." You teased, and she stood up before taking your hand and spinning you.
"Oh, yup! This fit is so cute!" She needed to act normal, especially before Jada came in and noticed the tension between the two of you. It's like you both just wanted to hurry up time and get to the good part. You wanted each other so bad but you two made a deal. After the tourney, you could be together. You were almost there.
You spun back around to face her, immediately wanting to kiss her. You two stood so close, your self-control wearing thin as you saw her eyes dart from each of your eyes, down to your lips, and doing it all over again. One hand of hers now ghosting your hip, wanting to pull you in closer.
"We can't, remember?" You don't know why you said it. You should've let it happen. You could've but Kate said you two should wait, so you needed to say something.
"Why not?" Her whisper sounded desperate.
"Because you said so."
"When do you ever listen to me anyways, gorgeous?" Her lips were so impossibly close to yours, you damn near almost fell to your knees. Her other hand found your waist, her slowly inching your chest against hers when a knock on the door was heard.
She dropped her hands from you, your body already missing the feeling of her and the sensation she forced through your whole body. Catching your breath, you walked to the door and opened it for Jada who was accompanied by Gabbie and Caitlin.
"You guys ready to sightsee!" Caitlin's enthusiasm through the roof as always, made you laugh as you walked away from the door to grab your shoes next to your bed. You didn't miss the way Kate watched you saunter through the room. Neither did everyone else.
"Yes, I just need my shoes, and I'm good to go." You slid your shoes on, grabbed your purse, and ready to walk out the door. The three girls walked out, you following. You felt a hand grab yours, pulling you back slightly.
In turn, a piece of hair fell into your face, Kate wasted no time in moving it back to the side of your face before handing you your phone and room key. "Left it charging, and this right next to it."
"Oh, thank you." You both were blushing. You two always seemed to be whenever you were around each other. Something about the other just made your body have a reaction, instantly feeling warm and welcomed in the other's presence. You two truly couldn't describe it, but you both knew it was real.
You five spent the whole day walking into local coffee shops, and boutiques and just enjoying the scenery that Albany had to offer.  You guys ended the night in front of billboards of Caitlin, taking pictures of her and her success and the impact she's had on the game. You all took pictures of each other and with each other. One of your favorites was you on Caitlin's back, kissing her cheek, while she did her signature hands out in front of her billboard where she's shooting her record-breaking logo three.
You guys even got strangers to take pictures of all of you lined up with each other. You guys were having so much fun. Missing days where basketball wasn’t the main focus for once.
"Hey, we're going to go to that place real fast, Gabbie wants lemonade and I want a soda." Jada told you before she and Gabbie walked off. You looked to check on Caitlin, who was taking pictures with fans, making sure she was alright. Some fans were acting crazy earlier that day.
You and Kate kept pointing at places you could see from where you were standing. "Oh my god, are you Kate Martin?" A girl walked up to Kate, she couldn't have been older than twelve and she looked so amazed at the six-foot blonde next to you.
"Yeah! What's your name?" Kate was beaming, she loved kids. There weren't many in her family aside from little cousins but she didn't see them often, just Carson, but he wasn't old enough to talk yet.
"I'm Audrey. But I'm a huge fan. Everyone likes Caitlin, and I do too, but I think you're pretty cool too." Audrey was nervous.
"Oh, my. Thank you, so much! I bet you're pretty cool, too." Kate bent down, trying her best to stay at eye level for the girl so she didn't have to look up.
Two adults approached you guys, who you assumed to be Audrey's parents, and smiled as their daughter beamed at meeting her favorite player. "Sorry, she spotted you and took off. I hope she's not bothering you, guys." The parents apologized, not wanting their daughter to invade your guy's space, especially Kate's.
"No, not at all! She's so sweet." You said, smiling at the girl.
"Can I get a picture?" Audrey asked.
'Of course you can!" Kate was excited that people noticed her too. She’s used to be in the shadow of Caitlin, and she was happy there. But to know that people loved her as much as you and the team did was another level of belonging she loved to feel. The parents pulled out their phones and took a picture of their daughter. A smile on all of your faces.
"I can take a picture of all of you if you want it?" You offered, wanting the parents to have the memory like their daughter, and the evidence to go with it. They thanked you as you took a picture of the family with Kate.
You could tell this was a good experience for Kate. You loved to see her being recognized for the skills she also brings to Iowa women's basketball. It was cool to see it outside of Iowa too. Kate and the girl said goodbye, but not before signing the girl's white Converse. She wasn't going to leave without it. I wouldn’t either fr…
That's when Caitlin came back, sighing after all the photo ops she just partook in. "Cait, I know you're tired but lets get a pic with us three?" You asked softly, a warm smile hoping to convince the girl.
"Oh my god. Let me take a picture of you guys. I can't be in another picture…if I am I don't know if I can do it without wanting to smash my own head with the phone." You laughed out loud, Kate hunched over laughing next to you. Your cheeks are now red, from the breeze and the laughter, Kate with her beautiful wide smile you adored, smiled for the picture. Caitlin said something else behind the camera, you didn't catch it but the look on her face made you giggle, so you turned your head when she took the picture.
"Aw, man! Take another one, I moved." You pouted before moving closer to Kate's side, smiling wide. After the pictures were taken, you looked at them while you three waited for Jada and Gabbie to get back so you could start heading to the hotel. You scrolled to the first one, butterflies in your stomach when you saw your head tucked in close to Kate, her smiling big into the camera. It was so cute, you didn't have the heart to trash it, the next one was normal, and the last one was you smiling at the camera and Kate looking down at you.
This was definitely your new favorite picture. You sent the pictures to her, listening to her phone ding as they came through. A soft smile on her face as she looked at them. You sent her the last one, with a small text.
sunshine ☀️💕
"You look like you're in love with me, Martin."
bear <3
"Kinda hard not to be."
Neither of you couldn't stop smiling the rest of the night.

i wanna get on the pazzi train so bad but paige moves so weird that i want better for azzi. flirting with someone on live, entertaining tiktoks of people thirsting over you, idk it's just mad weird and it makes me think there's no way they're together and if they are then azzi's putting up with a lot of shit and i don't like that.
Stay off the train 🙏🏾😑
You know I was gonna ignore all this Jada-Paige commotion (beyond how it related to my Kazzi agenda) because I found the whole thing kinda funny (Jada's hella real for her reaction to Paige) and I'm not in the mood to get into discourse these days but then I got like three asks similar to this and so now, I needa rant because y'all piss me off
Genuinely, genuinely do y'all like either of these girls? Because this narrative is so ridiculous and disrespectful to both of them.
Paige, is literally a sweetheart. Like that girl is a golden retriever of a human being and values trust and loyalty so much. Y'all she would not hurt a fly, let alone Azzi of all people. How is her joining someone's live or liking a couple of tiktoks equal to her "moving weird?" And quite frankly if "do you guys have a shake shack in Iowa" and endless basketball schedule talk is what y'all consider flirting, then bestie I'm so sorry but I don't think you've ever had someone flirt with you before. Paige has never given anyone any reason to think that she'd ever step out on anyone and it's so unfair that people make their own assumptions based off of the literal most mundane things.
And then we get to Azzi. In what world does Azzi fucking Fudd, strong independent gorgeous successful queen, give you the impression that she'd put up with that kind of disrespect if it existed? She might be horrendously down bad enough for that girl that she'd begrudgingly take 3562 photos of her, but stay with her if she was cheating/"moving weird"? Absolutely not. She does not need your protecting or your so-called sympathy, because a) Paige isn't doing anything wrong and b) Azzi is not a fucking doormat who's "putting up with a lot shit".
I'm not going to get into it but there is implicit racism in this narrative. It happens with a lot of ir/fictional interracial couples where people think the white person in the relationship must be cheating or whatever because they can't possibly just be happy with their bipoc partner and that said partner will just put up with it because they don't know their worth.
If you don't think Pazzi are real, that's perfectly fine. I've never been one to say you have to believe in them but please, for the love of god, just use the most obvious reason which is that neither of them have outwardly confirmed a relationship. Please stop villainizing Paige and please stop infantilizing Azzi.

Love on the brain
Ch.1
Series Master List
CW: Domestic Abuse. MDNI. Check the master list for full content warning.
Jabari had sprinted across the lawn as fast as his feet could carry him. He didn't understand much in life, but he did know that this was bad. His mom and dad were arguing again, this time about something other than money. At ten years old, he was almost certain that his life couldn't get much worse. He had hastily locked his seven year old sisters in his room and barricaded the door with his bed and dresser. Gave both girls a sweet smile and tried to explain for them to stay in the closet and not to come out no matter what, unless it was him or mom or the police.
His heart was racing the second he slipped out of the window. The screams of his mom shouting for his trifling dad to just please leave. Pleading for him to just please leave and to not touch her. He scrambled over the fence into the neighbor's backyard. He'd only seen them a few times since he and his family moved in a few months ago. It was four men, all of them huge and varying degrees of scary. He scrambled up the back steps and began to bang on the back door.
Blood was rushing into his ears as he prayed for someone to be home. The light behind the door turned on, and it opened. Jabari held his breath for a moment as a guy with a strange beard was shocked to see this little boy in the dead of night.
The man looked at him and then around for a moment. “It's late kiddo, what has you waking the dead?” There was concern in his voice.
Jabari let out a sob, “Please, I'm sorry for bothering you,” He devolved into tears and quite possibly the ugliest crying ever. “I need to use your phone to call the police, I'm afraid he might kill her!”
By now, another man had come to the backdoor curious about the commotion. Jabari looked up at them both and thought that the mohawk was cool, but right now, he needed to get on the phone.
Weird facial hair frowned and gently pulled him in the house. “Johnny, go grab Simon and you both meet me next door. Tell Kyle to phone the police.” He looked back down to Jabari and gave him a reassuring smile, “it's gonna be okay.”
There was blood dripping down your temple from the cut that your husband gave you. Your throat was raw from all of the screaming and yelling that you and this demon had done. When the test results came back that you did have chlamydia, against your better judgment, you confronted the man. What was supposed to be just you telling him that he needed to get treated turned into him accusing you of being a whore. It was laughable, down right hilarious and absurd. To accuse you of stepping out when you had walked in on him with women in your home.
In the start, you cared about his serial cheating. You cared about loving your husband, Kenny. He took care of you, he was smart, owned his own business, something to do with computers. Kenny, in the beginning, was not a bad man, even if he called soccer, football, and preferred rugby over actual football. Things got bad when you married him and became worse when Jabari was born and then abysmal when the twins Jada and Jayla were born. You asked for a divorce multiple times, but when Kenny cornered you, after you dragged yourself back together, he begged for another chance. He told you that things could be better, would be better. The five of you just needed a new change of scenery. He begged for you and the kids to move back with him to England and let the kids grow up in the countryside, America was not where he wanted his kids to grow up.
So please understand, getting burned by him below the waist again, after giving up and sacrificing everything was your last straw. You could handle a lot of things, but this was the straw in the camel's back. Seeing the panic on Jabari's face as he tried to get between you and his father before being shoved out of the way broke your heart. You sent him and your girls to their room and then pleaded for Kenny to just leave for the night and to cool down. A promise that in the morning, when the kids were at school, you'd both try again. You'd lay down, despite knowing about the std. You'd spread your legs and then ask in the afterglow of sex if you both could go to the clinic and get things taken care of. Then when the kids come home to a clean and rebuilt house, you'd order pizza and Kenny would drop money on a new TV (he broke this one in his fit of rage) and those toys and game consoles the kids had been asking for.
It was going to be the same song and dance. Right up until there was banging on the door that stopped him from striking you again. You both freeze, your eyes wide and his narrows. He backs away from you with a growl for you to wait there, and he'll get the door. He stalks to the front door, wrenching it open.
“Good evenin’” came a man's voice, “We heard some commotion and wanted to come over and check on you.”
You quietly sneak closer to the front door. This may be your only chance at help for the night. The phone cord had been ripped from the wall earlier in the fight.
Kenny is smiling but you know he is tense. You can see it in his shoulders and hear it under the false pleasantries in his voice, “Thanks for checking in, but we're all good here.” He wisely doesn't offer whoever is at the door anything else.
There is a beat for a second as you quietly stand just in view of the front door. You know you look a sorry mess, shirt torn, blood on the face, and hair a rat's nest. The man, a nice-looking man with neatly trimmed muttonchops and wearing a dark beanie, makes eye contact with you briefly. He's careful not to tip off Kenny, but you know he is watching you. A silent ask if you're okay.
You shake your head no.
“Well, that's nice and all, but I think we're gonna stick around until the police get here.” He says, his voice having a commanding authority to it.
“Look,” Kenny sighs, “everything is good here mate, and I very much would like it if you got off my front porch, we don't-” but Kenny stops dead in his little spiel. “What the fuck!?” He must have seen something.
“Now listen, you're gonna step outside and wait on the porch with my two friends here.” The man says, “or we can drag you out. Either way, we ain't leaving until the police show up, and the Missus says she feels safe.”
The front door swings open even wider, and Kenny takes a tentative step outside, and from your view, you see him plop down on the front steps. The man is standing in the doorway, his blue eyes alert and sharp as he steps into the threshold of your home. You see behind him, a hulking shadow just out of reach, a hood pulled over someone's head. The light from inside your home hits him, and you see that he's wearing a skull mask, but that's it. He lords his size over Kenny, and your husband rightfully sits still like a statue. Off by the mailbox is another person, probably waiting for the police to show.
“Ma'am, your son is at my house. He's fine, came and got us and we called the authorities for you.” He steps in front of you so you don't see your husband.
“Jabari went and got you?” You whispered, “oh god!” You hurry back down the hallway. Of course, your son would run and get help. You tried to open his bedroom door, and it would barely budge. But after a few rough shoves, you managed to get it open and squeeze into the room. “Girls?”
The closet door opens, and Jada and Jayla rush to you. Gripping onto you tightly while crying, you do your best to soothe them.
Back in the front room, John looks around at the damage. He doesn't dare go farther into the house where he hears you consoling your children. Instead he takes stock of the mess that the front room is. The broken TV that glitches, the turned over furniture, glass on floor and the phone cord ripped clean out of the wall. It disgusts him really, he never had patience for men that were aggressive towards women. Found that type of man to be scum.
He didn't know you, but from what he had seen of you just over the fence, you were a dedicated mother and home maker. John had seen you puttering about the back yard in your garden. He heard the sound of your voice scolding your children for running through your flower beds and plucking the blooms. Sometimes he would watch you sunbathe and help your daughters make flower crowns, while your son read comics next to you. He often wished that what he saw over the fence was what he and his boys had the privilege and luck to come home to.
It was, for him at least, a sight that made him incredibly envious of the bastard. To have a family, a Missus to make a house a home was a dream come true. To beat and abuse that Missus was sacrilegious and went against the natural order of things.
“Cap'n, they're here.” Soap is standing in the doorway. The chatter of voices of the radios could be heard. An officer steps around Soap and enters the house. He asks for the second owner of the house, and John directs them to the bedroom down the hallway.
“A right mess.” Soap whistles, “ya ken if ta lass woul’ want the help?”
“We'll come back in the morning and ask her. I'm sure when this is all squared away she won't want us in her home to help with anything tonight.” John says, “go and let Kyle know, Jabari can come back.”
Soap nods his head and leaves. John watches as you talk to the police, still in tears.

Chapter Five
Sorai and Jada were having a girls night until the boys show up again to ‘babysit’.
“What do you mean you never finish?” Jada asked in almost disbelief and Sorai shrugged her shoulders.
“I just don’t think it’s possible.”
“Oh bitch, it’s very possible. I could confirm that myself. So he’s never made you have an orgasm?”
Sorai shook her head, and she was kind of embarrassed to admit that. “I give it to myself from time to time so I know what it feels like. But Cameron…. I don’t know. Like he’s super excited about it and then he’s going at it and at first it feels good.”
“Okay so when does it stop feeling good?”
“After a while. I don’t know what he does but… and sometimes he sucks too hard so it hurts.” Sorai continued, stopping when she heard Jada scoff.
“Is that why you guys broke up?”
Sorai rolled her eyes. “No. He keeps complaining about the Fatu brothers. Especially about Sefa, he thinks there’s something going on between us.”
Now admittedly, there is some tension between the two of them but they had agreed after the house party they attended two years ago that they would not cross those lines with each other again.
After he took her home, he had kissed her again ‘just one last time’ he had claimed and then agreed to never cross those lines with her again.
But damn was it hard, especially when Sefa started working out for football Junior year. She already didn’t like Monica, but was starting to not to like her even more. She was finding herself more envious of the girl.
Sorai pushed those feelings to the side though because Cameron decided to actively pursue her. So for two years, she’s kept her attention on Cameron.
Her and Cameron were very compatible, he really liked Sorai and loved spending time with her; but whenever he had a chance to really get her alone, her ‘brothers’ were quick to snatch her up. Especially Sefa.
She doesn’t blame Cameron for feeling the way that he does… she felt the tension her damn self. But he was a friend who was almost family. How could she even cross those lines anyways?
Jada rolled her eyes this time, “I thought he said he wasn’t insecure about him? They let everyone know they’re your brothers and he knew that two years ago, why is he acting up like that now?”
“Said things were different from when we were sixteen… I dont know Jada. Every other week he complaining about something.” Sorai shrugged. They’d be back together before she knew it so she wasn’t really stressing it.
“Bitch you better than me, I would’ve broke up with him for the bad head alone. Is the sex even worth it?”
“He almost makes me cum when we have sex; just not when he gives me head. But Cameron said most girls don’t even cum and that it’s normal.”
“Bullshit.” Another person voiced out, causing both girls to snap their heads towards the door. When the fuck did he even get here?
“Do you ever knock?” Sorai asked, squinting her eyes at him.
He shrugged. “Y’all knew I was coming over. And don’t think you slick either, I heard what you said.”
“Ugh, Joseph give it a rest. We’re grown now you know?” Jada responded to defend her friend.
“So grown that I still have to come and watch over you guys when Sorai’s parents leave for the weekend?” He asked sarcastically with a raised eyebrow.
“First of all, my dad asked the twins to pass by and CHECK UP on me. Not babysit. So you’re actually here for no reason.”
“Twins were busy so they sent me. All for me to hear about how Cameron can’t even do his job right.”
Jada couldn’t help but laugh cause she agreed with him. Cameron was misleading her inexperienced friend into thinking those kinds of performances were acceptable and it was not.
Sorai rolled her eyes at her friends, how fuckin mature. “Ha Ha Ha.” She dryly replied before continuing, “I don’t understand what the big deal is anyways, it doesn’t even feel that good”
“Yes it really does. I’m talking about toe curling, body shaking, eyes crossing. Girl it’s literally so good. Do not let that boy lie to you cause he sucks.” Jada scoffed shaking her head. “I could hook you up with somebody who could give you the experience of a lifetime and you can see what you missing.”
“I wish the fuck you would. Piss me off if you want to Jada.” Sefa replied, glaring at her.
“What!? I know a guy who could -“
“No.” He dismissed which caused Sorai to raise her eyebrows at him.
“And since when do you make decisions for me?”
He shrugged, “I don’t. But one word to Joe and it’ll be all of us jumping yo lil friend. Cameron barely got out scott free, he still got one waiting on him too.”
“Sefa that’s not fair, you get to rotate between Monica and whoever else but I can’t get new experience from someone else? Mind you, I’m grown.”
“Mind you, I don’t care. Yo momma left like $20 downstairs so what we getting, pizza or Chinese?”
He had to change the subject, and he didn’t care how obvious it seemed to either of them. Sorai was not linking up with no fuckin random. The thought of it almost pissed him off, he wish Jada would just shut the hell up.
Sorai didn’t need no new experience from nobody. She just needed to sit her lil ass down somewhere before she get somebody else fucked up for no reason.
Sorai rolled her eyes. There was no winning with Sefa, so she let it go.
“I’m sick of pizza, get Chinese.” Jada replied, and Sorai nodded in agreement.
“Orange chicken and white rice with some egg rolls.”
Joseph nodded his head and left her room to go make the order.
Jada was the first one to speak up, smacking her teeth and hitting Sorai on the arm. “You need to tell Joseph that he can’t keep you sheltered forever. Sneaking off all the time gets tired after awhile don’t you think?”
“Even if Sefa wasn’t a problem, the other three would literally kill me. Joe almost took Cameron’s head off for bringing me home late one time.” Sorai explained with a shrug, “They’re the big brothers remember? They just want to look out. I just wish Sefa wouldn’t be so hard on me. We’re literally the same age.”
“Then tell him that!” And Sorai gave her friend a tired sigh in response. They both knew no matter what Sorai told Joseph, he was not going to listen to her. If he didn’t want her doing something, he went out of his way to make sure it didn’t happen.
She thought of it as his way of looking out for her and even though she hates it, it’s nice to know that he cares so much.
But in reality it wasn’t because he cared so much; Its more so the fact that he was selfish. He didn’t know how long he could play pretend with her anymore and he almost didn’t care who knew it.
Joseph barely let her out with Cameron as is and the times that she was with him for longer than he liked; it was because Monica was occupying his time.
And he really hated that damn brother bullshit his brothers had instilled to the whole world. The idea was nice and all but he was not her fucking brother and he did his best to show her that; especially two years ago at Britney’s party.
Sometimes, he swore she would look at him in a different kind of light but then she’d be right back in that stupid boys arms and he’d disregard the thought completely.
Joseph shook his head to focus on what he came downstairs for in the first place.
Meanwhile upstairs, the girls - really it was Jada - tried to come up with a plan on expanding Sorai’s horizons while she was currently single.
"We could see if Matthew got some fine ass homeboys." Jada suggested which made Sorai roll her eyes.
"Just cause they’re fine doesn’t mean they know what they’re doing. We need somebody who got good reviews."
Jada busted out laughing out of nowhere before jokingly stating, "To bad we can’t go to Joseph, do you hear how Monica be bragging? He would’ve been perfect."
Sorai laughed with her friend, shaking her head to make it seem like she was disgusted with the suggestion, but her body littered with goosebumps as she really thought about it. She remembered exactly everything Monica has ever said about Sefa when it came to that. Was he really that good? Curiosity really got the best of her.
Unknowing of the dilemma Jada just sent her best friend through, she continues to suggest another boy with good reviews. "We could hit up TJ, I heard he was really good. Actually, Rose said they hooked up at some party over the summer and he gave her a time to remember."
That piqued Sorai’s interest just a little bit, "How good of a time?"
"Aye man, what the fuck did I just say?" Sefa states as soon as he enters the room.
Jada rolled her eyes, "Joseph, please grow up. Rai grown just like you. You not the only one who wanna have cake and eat it too."
And to be honest, Sorai completely agrees. She was old enough to make her own decisions and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out just who she wanted to cross those lines with. But for now, she decides to change the subject for the sake of both of her friends.
“Can we just forget it and just watch white chicks?”
Jada smacked her lips, glaring at the annoying Samoan, “Look at what you did, you happy now?”
“Jada, can you be serious for even one day in your fucking life?” He retorted back to her.
Sorai rolled her eyes again, “Can y’all not? Let’s just watch a movie and forget about it.”
“ She saved you this time but the next time you work my nerves, me and Rai, jumping you.” Jada threatened which caused Joseph to roll his eyes and ignore her. He didn’t come here to argue, plus it didn’t matter.
He said what he said, and nothing was changing that. So, after putting the DVD into the slot, the group of friends found themselves comfortable in Sarai’s room; the girls on the bed and Joseph on the air mattress until the Chinese food finally came.
“Sefa, go get the food.”
“Why I got to go get the food? It’s your house.” he only argued to be annoying. It didn’t stop Sarai from pouting at the thought of getting out of bed, which caused him to smack his teeth and get up wordlessly.
"Oh shit, tell him to grab the drinks from the kitchen." Jada reminded, which caused Sorai to groan. She forgot about that.
"You think he’ll go back downstairs and get them?" She asked which caused Jada to snort.
Joseph would not make the second trip and they both knew that. Sorai through her head back to let out a loud groan and threw the covers off her body to slide out of the bed. "We have Coke instead of Pepsi, that fine for you?"
Jada nodded her head as a response and snuggled under the covers while Sorai left to go downstairs. A small giggle leaving her lips when she caught Sefa going through the food to ensure everything they ordered was there.
"They forget your eggrolls one time and now look at you." She teased.
"I’m not gonna take that from someone who cried when McDonald’s gave her the wrong meal."
Sorai’s eyes opened wide as a gasp escaped her lips, "I was on my period Sefa; that don’t count." She defends which caused him to laugh and turn around to face her.
"According to you, a lot of things don’t count." he stated with air quotation marks and she knew exactly what he was talking about.
"Don’t do that Sefa, that’s not fair."
"I’m just saying." He replied with a shrug, and Sorai knew it wasn’t fair to dismiss what happened between them at the party two years ago; but the two of them made a promise.
"How was I supposed to tell anybody that-"
"You don’t have to tell nobody nothing but at least when it’s just us, we could be honest with each other. I mean, do you regret it?" he meekly asked, and Sorai couldn’t help but feel guilty, she didn’t think dismissing the event would make him think she regretted it.
"No Sefa, I don’t regret it." She assured to him softly and he flashed her a smile at her honesty.
"If you want me to be honest when it’s just us… I think about it sometimes." She confessed and there it was again.
That thick tension between the two that could barely be cut by a knife. The admission causing butterflies to swarm in her stomach and the conversation she had with Jada reemerged in her head.
"Just sometimes?" He questioned and Sorai shrugged in response.
"Do you think about it?" She meekly asked, and her shyness caused him to chuckle.
"Don’t be nervous Rai."
"I’m not! And answer the question Sefa."
He grabbed her arm to pull her flush against him before he answered quietly, "I always think about it Rai."
Goosebumps littered her skin at his admission, and she searched his eyes to see if she was being dishonest with her. But she couldn’t find anything that gave away that he was being deceitful.
"…sometimes, I want to do it again." and that made Sorai bite her lips.
She thought it was just her who felt like that. She wanted to test the theory of what would happen if she let him know that the feeling was mutual.
"Me too." She whispered out to him and with the same boldness from last time, his arms wounded around her waist and pulled her even closer to press against him. This time, though Sorai was ready.
Sliding her hands up his arms until they both wrapped around his neck and they both leaned in. Unlike last time, he grazed his lips against her to prepare her, but that was all they could do because Jada’s "WHERE THE HELL Y’ALL AT?" from upstairs caused them to break apart.
It reminded them where they were at, and even though in the moment they wanted to succumb to their weakness, they decided to press into those kinds of matters later. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The walk to the locker room was shorter than Sorai really wanted it to be and Jada held her hand the entire way.
“Listen, it’ll be okay. Fake it till you make it okay? And soon as you’re done we can race out of there.” Jada promised and Sorai nodded her head at her best friend. She liked that plan, and it was the only one they could come up with given the last minute heads up.
“Hey, look at me.” Jada softly asked, causing Sorai to turn and look at her. The state of panic did not leave her eyes and albeit Jada had no clue what she was walking into, she refused to let the girl she seen as a sister walk in there like that.
“…Tell me your okay and we can walk in there.”
Sorai shook her head because she wasn’t okay and she is so grateful for Jada being here for her; being so patient with her and letting her collect herself first. She didn’t know what she did to deserve her but God, was she thankful for her.
“It’ll be a big opportunity.” Jada pushes one more time, to maybe steer her mind away from the people at hand and instead to focus on her job. It works.
“If Paul sees this and he likes it then I could get another chance to Interview the main event on Raw instead of smackdown.” Sorai replies, nodding her head at the goal she just placed in her head. Jada kept her eyes on her, watching Sorai calm herself down and steady her breathing.
Sorai squeezed Jada’s hand before whispering out, “I’m okay.”
Then she knocked on the door.
Eddie opened the door, flashing both girls a smile and widening the door to let them in. “Alright, good luck ladies.” The producer stated before locking the door and walking out of the room.
What the fuck just happened? The girls thought to themselves as they took in the setting of the room. There were no cameras, no microphones, just the boys in the room, waiting for her. They just set her up.
“Sorai-“ Joe started but she was quick to cut him off.
“Is my job a joke to you, Roman?” Sorai asked, furrowing her eyebrows at him. The blood in her body starting to boil as she thought about them really setting her up.
But Joe took a step back when the name,‘Roman’ came out of her mouth. She’s calling them their stage names as if he was a stranger and he didn’t know how to feel about that, but he was determined to find out today.
“No Sorai, your job isn’t a joke to us. But you’ve been avoiding us so we didn’t know what else to do.” He answers honesty. They had to go to the extreme for this and even if they didn’t get what they were looking for, Joe made sure that she would have done at least three interviews for the next couple of shows.
“So instead, you have me come here under false circumstances. Instead of pushing myself to get more interviews, I’m here…wasting my time.”
“Baby sis we just want-“ He tried again but Sorai was quick. She had already turned her back to leave, Jada’s hand still linked with hers. Only to stop in her tracks when she finds the twins standing in front of the door.
“No more running Rai, we need to talk.” Joshua stated this time. Sorai’s demeanor was almost breaking and she didn’t want to break down in front of them. They didn’t deserve it.
“Let me out or I’ll scream.” She threatened.
“You can scream but we already warned security if they heard anything coming from this room to ignore it until the show starts.” Jon speaks up with a shrug. “It’s been two months Rai, you’ve had your space.”
Jada, who knew first hand that this could go on forever raised her hand to silence the room. “Okay, listen. Guys do you really think this is necessary?”
“Rai is family and everything can be handle within the family. Kinda hard to do when she keeps running from said family.” Joe speaks up again.
Sorai shook her head, trying to keep her thoughts from making her spiral. “What do you want from me?” She finally asked.
“What happened when we left Rai?” Josh asked, the twins has moved away from the door and walking in front of Sorai so that they could have this conversation properly.
“Nothing happen.” She dismissed with a shrug. “Is that all?”
“No. Rai, please.” Jon pleaded, taking a small step toward her, “we just want to fix it sis.”
“Did someone break your heart?” Joe asked and damn was that question, the stone to make her walls crumble.
Her lips quivered and she shrugged again. “It doesn’t matter.” She croaked out and she could see their shoulders sink in relief.
As if this wasn’t something they did per se.
“Who broke your heart sis?” Jon asked, and the tears she fought so hard to keep back spilled over.
Her eyes scanned the room one more time, making sure to make eye contact with all of them, her eyes on Sefa’s the longest before turning to face Jon again. “You did.” She whispered.
The surprise look on their faces was one to die for. Of course they don’t remember.
“Us?” Joe questioned, eyebrows furrowed in thought. “What did we do?”
“Joe, I don’t want to talk. Please.” Sorai begged, the tears still silently flowing from her eyes. “I know that you want to talk but I’m not ready. If I’m still so important to you, can you respect that?”
“Well, what are we supposed to do Rai? Just sit and let what you said just slide?” Josh spoke up this time.
Sefa couldn’t take it anymore. “Rai.” He called out, bringing the attention to him.
Her heart ached in her chest at the sound of his voice. She turned and faced him, “Sefa, please; I can’t.” She begged and his heart broke but he wanted answers too.
“Rai-“
“You promised Sefa, please.” She cried out and he sighed.
“Let her go.” He told his brothers who immediately began to disagree with him.
“No.” Josh stated
“Man what hell is you talking about?” Jon questioned
But Sefa stood his ground, even if it didn’t make sense to him either. He did it for her.
“She don’t wanna talk; just let her leave. We can’t force her to talk, that ain’t right.”
Jada seemed to agree, grabbing onto Sorai’s hand again to pull her out of the locker room.
If there’s one thing they all knew, it was that Sefa’s save was only temporary. Eventually they were going to seek the truth from her, no matter what it took.

Down Low - KM
Tumblr media
Pairing: Kate Martin x Reader
Summary: After figuring out what you have is real, you and Kate navigate keeping your relationship on the down low (based on THIS request)
Warnings: very mildly suggestive, fluff
Word Count: 1.4k
Sweetbans Masterlist
AN: Here is another cute KM fic!
"So how are we going to do this?" You ask the girl sitting on your bed. She is wrapped in one of your sweatshirts and holding Stuffy, the teddy bear you refuse to sleep without.
She shrugs. Neither of you really know what to say.
"We take it one day at a time and if it gets weird or hurts the team we stop," Kate says, looking down at the arms of the teddy bear she is playing with.
You nod. Neither of you really want to stop what you are doing.
You and Kate are heading into your fourth year at Iowa while Kate is entering her fifth. The two of you have been doing this little dance around your feelings for the past three years. That is until the two of you both decided to stay around during the summer. Summer was really only about 6 weeks but it was enough for you and her to start exploring the unspoken feelings each of you has been harboring. And boy were the two of you glad you did.
The two of you spent the past six weeks exploring the city and each other. It could not have been better. But now that summer is over and the team is getting back to start pre-season workouts the two of you are faced with reality.
"Mmmhmmm, one day at a time," you repeat what she says but can't hide the disappointment in your tone.
Kate stands up and comes to wrap herself around you. You turn to face her and nuzzle your way into her neck, breathing her in.
"When I say one day at a time, I don't mean my feelings for you. Baby, those are sure but one day at a time with the team, okay?" She explains, trying to reassure you.
You nod into her and know that is what she meant, but you can't help but want this little world the two of you have created to continue forever. Forever in your little bubble was unrealistic.
You let your hands that are wrapped around the taller girl sneak underneath the sweatshirt and allow your fingertips to dance across the skin of her back.
"Why can't we stay like this forever?" You ask, knowing reality is knocking at the door.
"I wish we could, I really wish we could," she says.
The team gets back and you and Kate go back to being 'just friends'. At least, friends in the eyes of the world. But the two of you are still very much figuring out what the two of you look like with everyone else around. As time passed and the two of you established this wasn't just a summer fling, you got so used to keeping your relationship between the two of you that neither of you felt the need to change anything up.
A few months pass and you couldn't be happier. The season is in full swing as games are beginning.
It is a full-team practice day before a big game coming up.
You are intently watching your team run a defensive rotation when Kate comes flying through, getting the block on one of the practice guys.
The team goes crazy as the team on the floor goes to chest bump and gives Kate her flowers.
"FREAKING MOTHER," Jada yells as the team celebrates Kate. The cheers are loud.
"Ha, more like daddy," you mutter out loud before you can catch yourself. You look around to see if anyone caught you little slip and it doesn't look like they had.
To be fair, you and Kate have been pretty active in the bedroom which may or may not be consuming your mind more often than not. It had been a newfound nickname for your girl that was up until this moment only used in the confines of your home.
When you think you are in the clear, you pat Kate's back and head to set up in your zone when you hear it.
"Oh shit," Caitlin says. "OH SHIT!"
Caitlin turns to you and puts her hands on your shoulders.
"Did you just say what I think you said?" Caitlin asks, squeezing your shoulders.
"I don't know what you are talking about," you say trying to cover up your slip.
Caitlin stares you down.
"I know you better than you know yourself, you would not go around calling just anyone that nickname," Caitlin says trying to pull your eye contact which you are actively avoiding.
"Fine, don't say anything but something is going on," Cait says letting you go. You finally let out the breath you have been holding and look over at your girl.
Your eyes meet Kate's and she immediately knows something's off. You wave her off but to your misfortune, Caitlin is out there calling Kate daddy on the next play.
Both Kate and your face are bright red when you hear the name escape Caitlin's lips and it causes the whole team to come to a halt.
"What did you just call Kate?" Jada asks.
"Daddy," Caitlin says. The whole team looks at her like she is crazy. "I am just repeating what I heard."
Caitlin then had the audacity to point at you, the bright red tomato that you are, as ever single eye in the gym gravitates towards you.
You hide your face and groan when you feel arms come around you. Kate covers you from the eyes of the team and practice squad.
"So if Kate is daddy...does that make you mother?" Jada asks pinching at your sides.
"I can't believe you didn't tell me, how long have we known each other? How long have I been saying you two would be a cute ass couple? Do I even know you at all?" Caitlin says barreling into you.
"8 months," Kate says pushing your intruder away from you.
"EIGHT MONTHS," Caitlin yells. "And you really think you know someone. I will be taking applications for a new best friend since BOTH of mine have betrayed me."
"CC, it has nothing to do with you," you say a smile finally making its way on you as you push the girl. "We liked the simplicity and your loud mouth couldn't keep a secret to save your life."
"Hey!" Caitlin combats but all of you know it's true.
You are all laughing and there is a shared sense of relief in both you and Kate. You didn't know how the team would react but it is better than either of you would have expected. Not as a lack of their understanding but more so to your fear.
"As long as I get to be in the wedding, I'm good," Caitlin says.
"Yeah - as my best woman," Kate says at the same exact time as you say, "Of course - as my maid of honor."
Your head whips to look at Kate who is already staring you down.
"She can't be your maid of honor if she is my best woman," Kate says like it's a known thing, Caitlin being on her side instead of yours.
"In your dreams Martin, she has been my best friend since high school - there is no question she is standing by my side," you say.
"She could always officiate..." Jada decides to pitch in her two cents.
Kate and your heads turn to her and simultaneously say, "No."
The whole team laughs as you and Kate continue to bicker. The coaches call for practice to continue.
Any time you were standing next to Kate, the two of you could be seen in the same little argument about who gets Caitlin. It even follows you back to your apartment when Caitlin is sick of hearing it.
"Okay that's enough," Caitlin says, rubbing her head. "I will be neither of your best woman or maid of honor."
You and Kate come to your senses and turn to the girl who just made the statement, now arguing with her as to how crazy it would be to not have her in the wedding party.
It didn't stop the arguing, but it did turn the tables so you and Kate were on the same side.
If you were honest, you would give Kate anything she wanted on your big day and she would do the same. At the end of the day, you both knew what was coming and had no problems with it. It was all a part of the plan. The plan the two of you drew up that first week of summer. The plan to spend the rest of your lives arguing about stupid things with each other because neither of you could imagine arguing with anyone else.
The plan of Kate and you against the world.
AN: A short but cute one in my opinion. Let me know what you think! And as always, thank you for the love and support 💛

Enjoy,
“I understand what you’re saying Ms.L/n, truly.” My sister's principal started, giving me a look of pure pity as I just spilled my life to her like it was truly her problem that we couldn’t afford such a prestigious school. “However, we can’t keep her here. She is disruptive and abusive to our students and staff here. She has to leave.” Just fucking great, Jada. You had to be an argument brat all the damn time.
“Do you know our other options?” I ask quietly. When Mrs.Langsy looked down at her computer, I made sure to send Jada a death stare. I was tired of switching schools because she couldn't keep herself together. And this time, I didn’t know how I was going to send her to school when the last option was a school for snotty rich kids that I definitely couldn’t afford the tuition for. “Public schools preferably?”
Mrs.Langsy sighed and finally stopped typing on her computer, giving me and Jada a sorry look. So, that was a no.
“Jada has been banned from every public school in this part of the city. The other option would be to move or go to private school..” Mrs.Langsy whispered to me. I could feel my left eye twitching in anger She just had to do this now. “This is the brochure for the private school closest, Jularod, I send my own daughter there it is an amazing school.” I took the brochure and flipped though it before stopping and abruptly closing it when I saw the tuition price; 20 thousand a year? Was I paying for her college or was I paying for her to attend middle school?
“Thank you, Ms. Langsy. Have a good day.” I smiled to the principal even though I clearly have an attitude. I dragged jada out of the office before laying into her.
“How did you get suspended again? I thought we said no fighting?”
“She fucked around and found out! I don’t know what you want me to do.” Jada argued back as we walked to the car. “Just take me out of school, I’ll teach myself.” Jada was always stubborn, just like dad was. This however, was not the time to have an attitude.
“Watch your mouth, Jada. You’ll learn when you're older than fighting wont just get you suspended but next time, It’ll get you in Jail.” I argue back. I sound like my mom. She would’ve been yelling at me for skipping class or something just as rebellious as Jada was doing years ago when I was her age. Years ago when she was alive.
“Jada please, I work hard to make sure we have a roof and food. I just need you to behave for once. Can you do that?” My voice cracked at the end, I was trying my best to not cry while driving and crashing the car. If she had a better role model than me…maybe she would’ve been better behaved.
Jada turned to me, worry coating her beautiful babydoll eyes. “I’ll do better, Y/n.”
That was all I needed.
Some type of Closure that she would be trying to end her nasty streak of fighting and being sneaky. I would do all that I could to trust that she would make the right decision. I just had to sit and trust her for once.
“Let’s go out to dinner this time.”
“Yeah!”
                              —
Jada and I walked side by side, Ice cream in hand staying in sight of the huge tv located in the main part of (insert city in japan later). The broadcast of Ready, Set, Love, was starting to play; announcing all 100 contestants in a very slow, very painful manner.
I had never been interested in shows like these, Reality tv mixed with dating and finding the true love of your life. Jada was though.
In our house she had ran her allowance almost dry buying various merch from the many ads the boys had to advertise them
for them for the new season. My ears almost bled with how much she would tell me about these men she barely knew. And every night, without a doubt she’d be in one of their lives watching these men talk about their lives for no apparent reason.
They were handsome, I couldn’t lie. But Couldn’t imagine being one of the girls to be on that show competing for a man. Had we really lost all decorum as women that we were so eager to be married that we’d do competitions for the chance to have one we wanted?
“I hope you win.” Jada mumbled from beside me. I turned to her, confusion written all over my face.
“I didn’t enter, why would I win?”
“I entered you.” She confessed. My face was more confused than ever now.
It was nothing new that Jada was one of the sneakiest people I knew. If she wanted to hide something  and lie about something, she was going to do it. Gracefully, might I add. “Why would you do that? You know I don't like these stupid shows.” I ask her, finishing my ice cream with my mouth full of the dessert. “Its like a 0.1 chance that I’ll be picked out of 1 million girls.”
Jada turns to me, her face more serious than I had ever seen it. “I want to see you married, Y/n. I don’t want you to sit around and put your life to the side even when you deserve to live your life.” Tears filled her eyes as she took hold of my hand. Her palms were sweaty, she was nervous.
My mouth opened so I could say something, something that would attempt to convince her that she was not a burden to me no matter what. I was cut off by the rather loud announcement of my full name coming from the direction of one of the screens that hung from the side of the building. As if on its own, my head flips back towards the tv seeing a horrible picture plastered on the screen, directly next to my name in big green letters. My mouth falls in shock. There  was absolutely no way I actually won. I didn’t even want to win but somehow out of millions of girls I was one of the starting 100? My head flips back to Jada who looked at me with a huge smile gaping her face.
“You won! You actually won” She shouts, voice like a kid in a candy store would be.
Yeah, I won. Holy shit.
