Change God’s funny. Once it gets to the point Sif-n-co are comfortable talking to them, they just go so silly with it. Lots of over the top body language, switching up which party stand-in they’re talking through every sentence. Isabeau’s square mouth opens and Mira’s voice comes out. Everyone’s voices shuffle, really.

Bonnie and Odile’s ‘Change God Modes’ both lack mouths, so whenever they ‘talk’ it’s only really apparent though body language. They love making Odile in particular super animated. They like to make Isabeau do the robot.

Once they first realize it’s the Change God puppeting them, though, Siffrin definitely spends a loop or two hiding somewhere and interrogating Mirabelle about it because they figure she’d be the one with the most know-how on the subject. Mira why is your DEITY playing with all your bodies like DOLLS why are they ROLEPLAYING

Related but I think Siffrin gets a new tear-nightmare after that reveal. Where the family’s faces fall away like masks, leaving gaping empty shadows behind.

And then the nightmare follows them during Clocktower sleep too.

Tokyo Debunker; Ghouls + DnD (Headcanons)

I just wanted to procrastinate in peace, but inspiration struck me like a... inspiration....

Anyways, I bring you Allister's Headcanons for What I Think the Ghouls are like When Playing DnD™

This is mainly just what kind of characters I think they'd build with a little extra here and there.

also! I'm not the most knowledgeable on DnD, I just recently got into it so please bear with me 🙏

Frostheim

Jin Kamurai - He'd definitely play as a drow, but I don't know if he'd choose to be a fighter or sorcerer though. I feel like he'd also do his "tch" thing whenever the DM is setting the scene or adding in flavor text.

Tohma Ishibashi - Tohma would probably play as a warlock . I bet he plays DnD extremely logically too, focusing everything on strategy. He'd get really into trying finding outs in tough situations.

Lucas Errant - Lawful good human fighter. Next question?

Kaito Fuji - Kaito would have a bunch of different characters he switches between, but he always has insanely bad rolls and begs the DM for a reroll. Even if the situation didn't require a skill check, I have a feeling it'd still end in the DM saying "roll for initiative"

Vagastorm

Alan Mido - Alan would play a half-orc barbarian- because it sounds strong. Except he doesn't know how to rage. Or that barbarians do better with lighter armor. Or that he has to roll a dice to do things. Or-

Shohei Haizono - Sho would play as a warlock or cleric, but his patron/deity is literally just Leo /hj .I feel like he'd keep a good track of what items the party has and any little hints the DM throws in.

Leo Kurosagi - chaotic neutral tabaxi rouge...

Jabberwock

Haru Sagara - It'd be criminal if he played anything other than a druid. Though I could also see him playing as a ranger. Haru would try to appeal to the NPCs instead of stealthing, lying, or fighting. He'd also probably insist that he has to drink if his character does cus it's "more realistic"

Towa Otonashi - I would say druid if it wasn't for the fact that wild magic sorcerers are a thing. Towa would destroy everything and anything if he has the spell slots for it. In a small room with a special artifact? Fireball. Fighting an enemy with good loot near a pit? Thunder wave. An NPC welcoming his character to the town? Acid spray.

Ren Shiranami - Ren would be the most experienced out of all the ghouls. He'd probably get annoyed at all the other ghoul's lack of experience. He has the fanciest dice, the highest quality mini figs, and all of the player handbooks. Part of me also feels like he'd DM just because of how much experience he has. He'd be very unforgiving though...

Sinostra

Taiga Hoshibami - Taiga... Taiga is the player that attempts to fight everything. He attempts rolls that don't work for his character too. He'd also be the reason the party gets wiped out.

Romeo Lucci - Romeo would have an extremely charisma-based play style. It doesn't matter what class or race he is, he'll talk his way through any encounter.

Ritsu Shinjo - Ritsu's character would be a lawful good aasamir paladin that he spent 6 hours making a backstory for. And he would definitely try to give the DM suggestions after the session. I could also see him DMing himself and getting really into it with all the reference sheets and notes and such.

Hotarubi

Subaru Kagami - I feel like Subaru would only ever DM. DMing would give him a sense of control that he otherwise wouldn't have if he was a player. He'd put a lot of work into his campaigns and try to make everything as fun as possible for his players.

Haku Kusanagi - Haku would play as a bard, thinking it means he has to do the least amount of fighting. He'd take his chances on bad rolls and would keep himself well-stocked up on items.

Zenji Kotodama - I can't see Zenji playing any class but a bard. And you know he'd insist on playing an instrument every time he casts "bardic inspiration". I think he'd also get really into the roleplay aspect. He'd love doing side quests too.

Obscuary

Edward Hart - Ed would play a character completely different from himself. He'd have a lot of fun with the roleplay too. I could see him making chaotic decisions just to mess with the rest of the party. Like telling a fae his companion's names or making a deal with a devil.

Rui Mizuki - He would definitely play as a Druid, but in the way I do where I just max out my charisma and pray I never need to fight. Fighting would be his last resort in any situation because he's so unprepared in combat. The party could be halfway through a boss fight and he'd still be trying to roll persuasion.

Lyca Colt - Lyca would have a hard time getting a hang of the game and he'd try to follow the rules despite wanting to just go with the flow. He'd base his character off of himself and name them "Lyca 2" or something like that.

Mortkranken

Yuri Isami - Yuri would play as a wizard. He is so absolutely wizard-coded. He'd also max out his intelligence and wisdom with strength as his dump stat.

Jiro Kirisaki - I think Jiro is like Subaru and would only ever DM. I also feel like he'd be surprisingly good at it? The roleplay aspect, the descriptive language, improv when the players do stupid shit. His campaigns wouldn't be very creative, but they'd be super fleshed-out.

(She was nervous about letting me post the gif and required that I clarified that it's a low effort, quick animation she only made to get a laugh out of me, lol. She was correct about making me laugh. I was in tears for, like, an hour.)

These pieces of art are both from an AU of mine that we roleplay a lot.

I'd explain more, but it's built off an alternate timeline/universe of @wutheringmights story "Call them brothers". And I'm not sure what her rules are about fanart or fanfics, mostly because I never asked or looked into it and I never intended to.

I make AUs for the fanfics I read, write fanfics for those fanfics with thousands upon thousands of words in them and then never post them or do anything other than hand them to my sister to read. She does the same with her art.

...Fandoms are messy enough without me accidentally stepping on someone's toes. (I think my sister doesn't post her art because she's too unconfident though.)

That aside, Call them brothers is literally my favorite fic I've ever read. I know we like to throw that phrase around in the fandom a lot, but I have every intention of getting that sucker printed and bound once it's finished. I've been reading Fanfiction for nearly a decade and this is the first one I've wanted to do that for.

If you're a person who enjoys darker stories and want a story line with some actual consequences for the characters, I'd totally recommend it. The last time I was this gut punched over characters and their development was Red Rising by Peirce Brown (My favorite published book series ever), and Wuthering's descriptions of a war ravaged country and all it's horrors is fucking immaculate.

I found Call them brothers through my desire to see a longer fic that had Spirit Tracks Link, and it did. not. disappoint.

Wuthering's takes on what Spirit's abilities, character traits, and game culture/lore are currently my favorite I've seen from anyone in the fandom, and I would doubly recommend the fic just for that.

That said, it's not a story for the faint of heart. It's Dark. With a capital 'd' for a reason. Wuthering doesn't add all those tag warnings for no reason. Also, if you can't stand to see one of the Link bois written as anything other than what the mainstream interpretation for them is, this isn't for you. War isn't out of character, but he's certainly a bold take. A fantastic one, but bold none the less.

Plus there's mild mentions of Links being interested in other character's that aren't their Zeldas or their typical love interests. There is NO shipping of the Jojo's characters amongst each other, but if you're the kind of person who can't stand alluding to characters having crushes that aren't Link x Zelda, it isn't for you.

I know there's some people in the fandom who don't like that kind of thing, so I thought I'd mention it. Also, you've been warned so no being mean to Wutheringmights about it!

If you're okay with the things I've listed, please, please, please give it a read. @wutheringmights deserves all the love for writing something so good.

(Anyway, I could ramble for hours about all the reasons Wutheringmights is my favorite Author in the LOZ fandom, but this was supposed to just be a post about my lil sis's art that got waaaaay away from me.)

Notes about my character design: confessions, how and why Githyanki influences my work, personal experiences, silly ideas, My games, and more I guess

If you don't follow me and just found this I have something to say first: Be welcome, hope this text doest sound pretentious, I'm Vikintor, I made some obscure games (Teocida, Tamashii and Estigma), they're available on Steam and consoles as well.

You might notice that my "original" character designs are being heavily influenced by the Githyanki these days, especially their "classic" designs from Fiend Folio to "Rise of the Githyanki" published in Polyhedron and "Knights of the lich-Queen" in Dungeon Magazine, and of course, mixed a little with what I call "modern" design (I also like how the Githzerai give me Jedi vibes, yes, Jedi from Star Wars). The less human it looks while maintaining some human proportions, the better. And that's why I love the old "classic" alienish designs the most.

Why D&D Gith's?

Confession time; I never really cared that much about Dungeons & Dragons before I discovered the Githyanki, and they're the only race in D&D that I actually care about, especially for the storytelling and roleplay possibilities based on their lore. As someone who favorite character designs ranges from D'vorah from Mortal Kombat, Undyne from Undertale, to Lilith from Diablo, liking the look of the classic Gith was easy for me, and boe they are rad.

Quick context on who they are (you can skip if you know them or don't care):

Githianky are a D&D race know as humanoid creatures (mostly gray, green and yellow skin toned) with a rigid militaristic background. Raised to serve their Lich-Queen and destined to die for her (and by her, but some don't know that part). They were slaves of an illithid empire in the past and after being led to freendom by Gith (A woman named Gith, there's no Gith races before her), their race was splited in two; The Githyanki believes they are the real children of Gith and the Githzerai believes the Githyanki still slaves, not from illithid but the queen. plus: Githianky live in cities build on the corpses of fallen deities (that's metal).

Most of the Githyanki are considered evil, as some go on raid campaigns to steal from another planes (they love precious stones and gold, and they can be seem as pirates, but instead of ships they ride red dragons thanks to a pact made with Tiamat). Their complexity creates a bunch of What-If scenarios that I'm interested in: like; did you know that religion is forbidden to the Githyanki (Only Lich-Queen Clerics are permitted), but many of them secretly worship other gods. And how crime and punishment works on their society (kinda don't works at all, so a lot of them are afraid to look for justice), and how Githyanki monks exists in their society but faces prejudice (Githaynki monks are often seem as Githzerai spies), And you have stories about the Gith rebels that believes the Githyanki and Githzerai can be unified as only "children of Gith", as the same time their leader is way too controvertial and self-centered, and how some of these rebels befriend humans (which is a taboo), or how their society hates every non-Githyanki but are polite and refined among their own kind, which is often confusing and complex as they are known for their aggressive propaganda among themselves and how they kill each other during their insane militaristic raising. They also often do parties, play and write songs and have fun, there's also half-Githyanki/half-dragons superwarriors created in a secret experiment led by the Lich-queen (those don't care about the Githyanki society and aren't friendly to them), and them you still have the Githzerai (neutral Gith monks that despise the Lich-Queen and have their own society and traditions) and the Githvy (rogue Gith's that aren't Githyanki or Githzeray, who often tries to live among other races).

Of course I don't know everything about them and maybe there is some misinterpretation on my part, some of the content was created over the years and unfortunately most of it was never published or translated into my idiom, so I have to translate it myself, but I'm not writing this to convince people to like them as much as I do. I'm sharing this to bring out what and how it inspired me.

So, what this have to do with me?

As someone who likes weird ambiguous characters and enjoys fantasizing with what-if scenarios; discovering that lore on D&D made me realize how much prejudice I had with D&D. If you say to me "This rpg race is totally evil or totally good" I can only answer: "Impossible. Individual characters are more complex than that, I want to explore the exceptions". If all are evil, I want some trying to discover what means to be good, and want some to fail miserable, and want some to learn something from that experience, if they're all serious, I want some to be silly and weird.

I'm far from a real writer (whatever that means), but I like fantasizing about atypical situations and writing about them, which is why I wrote neutral demon-like creatures for Tamashii and Teocida in the first place, even when I still lacked more maturity for that. I'm also interested in these exceptions in rpg lore and improving those aspects as I write about them, which is why D&D Githyanki inspired my current design.

But how it inspired me:

Just like many fantasy stories were created during sessions of tabletop RPG campaigns, I became interested in Gith-exclusive games thanks to discovering content like Fiend Folio and "Rise of the Githyanki" and "Knights of the Lich-Queen" (both Gith centred games focused on Gith players, with few exceptions), which is why I became way more obsessed with them. And damm, a videogame like BG3 having Githianky as a playable race is everything I hoped for (I'm not interested in BG4 if there's not a single playable Gith race. I just want to keep creating weird Gith girl characters and make them break things and form a band named Githgang), but I'm not here to talk about BG3, sorry.

So Gith's was my first inspiration to write my own RPG races with their own language, traditions, dogma, taboos, and designs. I think about how something like this could happen in the universe I've been working on since Tamashii. But I'm not going for something complex, but rather thinking about characters that I would create for my Gith campaigns could be another type of character if I create them in another position, another world with different laws, instead of just roleplaying as Githanky forever.

As I can't write Githyanki characters without it being some sort of fanfic (my fault for not going for something more common like wizards, orcs and gnomes), I still at least being inspired by them.

After reading a bunch to roleplay as Gith characters or just to fantasize about it, their personalities, and how they react to the world still something that is organically created while I'm assuming that character and playing around, this doesn't need to be bound to a specific lore. I'm being redundant at this point, but you get the idea, that's how the brazilian character Ozob was created in the 90's (He was a character created during a Cyberpunk tabletop RPG session, and then became an original character with books and merchandize in Brazil until CD Projekt Red got the rights to put him in the Cyberpunk 2077 for real)

Therefore, I can say that part of what may come in the future is the result of my experiences and inspirations with D&D mixed with all my other inspirations, such as H.R Giger, biomechanical horror, Screaming Mad George's style body horror, esoteric/exoteric references, industrial music and atmospheric, creepypasta, etc. It might be weird, or not, maybe a little silly or edgy as always, but I don't know what to do besides accepting the results, keep moving forward, and have fun in the process.

The first character as an Avatar:

"Astral of Latanael" still a working name for the first character I made inspired by Gith. The draft for her is: She is a Mhold'eze, a zombie-like servant bonded to her preceptor, a necromancer who serves as her mentor. Mhold'ezes inherit part of their master's powers and are often used as an extension of their master's will where they cannot be present, always receiving an important task, or mission as soon as they are born (like Feucirl and Pleroma of Teocida, except that Pleroma is not a necromancer). This is the first draft of the original character that I'm using as an avatar, but I do plan to work more on this silly lady and Latanael (her Necromancer) to include them in my game, or games, or more than that. It depends of what I decided.

Ok, just a quick look on how Astral looks right now, before I made more changes.

Congrats if you read until here, I'm surprised if you really read more than 1500 words of some weird dude talking about why silly D&D "pirates" inspired him to keep creating more silly weird angry girl characters.

I do have OCs but I don’t think I’ve talked about them here 😅 I’m not gonna ramble toooo much but um aside from OCs from my old novella (Qehnaylaht/Nahdeyna/Gaealena/etc), current rp OCs (I love Paulie and Catrina Chester so damn much you guys but I would not stop rambling, as well as Aliana María Alliyma from another rp), a bunch of characters I never got to play, and Clara & Ella (my OCs for Firefly fanfic and now their own original sci-fi world), there’s these three?

Wendell — an NPC I made for D&D that now lives rent free in my head. He’s a warlock who has no clue what his actual patron is, because sometimes things get crazy with trickster deities. He uses a custom wheelchair that has a few little fae spells on it (mostly just to make it so no one else dares to touch it or try to move him) and lives inside a mimic.

Morgan — created her for a pirates roleplay but that ended (I don’t know why but I probably messed up somehow since the other writer blocked me?). Scrappy smart Caribbean girl who sometimes passes as a man and is apprenticed to a doctor.

Char — short for Charcoal (their birth name is Charlotte but no one gets to call them that), Char is a mostly home bound artist who may or may not be from the fae realm. She started as a sort of vent OC I could give some of my problems but ended up in a really fascinating space. Whenever I write her, I make it very unclear whether or not she is actually magical or not. If she is, she is part-djinn and who knows what else and descendent of men and women who traded themselves or were stolen away by the fae—if she isn’t, she grew up in a very limiting environment and developed pretty extreme maladaptive tendencies.

I also have OCs for a lot of universes I would like to roleplay in buttttt no one ever dies cause the fandoms more or less don’t exist (Broken Earth, Invisible Library, etc). Oh, and the characters in the musical im writing! They’re very fun but I’ve typed enough and don’t want to bore you too much 😅

I find it frustrating to have to pick up and try to remember what's going on every day, especially if I like the plot but it's moving too slowly for anything to actually happen. I understand life happens but please let me know if you're going to be unavailable for an extended period of time or if you just don't reply a lot, then don't respond.

Literacy. I dont require a certain amount of paragraphs to be written but I do require basic grammar. Punctuation, quotation marks, new paragraphs for new situations. This is a hobby about writing and I don't want to have to decipher each and every post you make. Spelling errors happen, I do it all the time but as long as I have contextual clues, it's fine!

@frozenambiguity &&. said... Rant time! Now that Ren has the opportunity to trace a new path for himself, does he still have the wish to encounter Ei in order to get closure? Or does he prefer to view his past as a finalized chapter in his story and live his life on his own terms?

it's  honestly  a  really  tricky  subject  for  him  —  because  on  some  level,  there's  a  part  of  ren  that  desperately  wants  to  be  acknowledged  by  ei.  that  has  always,  always  been  an  ongoing  theme  with  him,  regardless  of  which  flavor  of  scrunkly  we're  talking  about.  it's  really  important  to  note  he  has  NEVER  hated  her,  even  after  she  abandoned  him  —  he's  always  directed  that  frustration  he  feels  inward.  she  didn't  want  to  keep  him  because  he  was  too  fragile  —  because  as  a  god,  (  he  assumes  )  strength  was  the  only  thing  that  mattered  to  her.  this  inadvertently  warps  scara's  entire  perception  of  how  gods  are  meant  to  conduct  themselves.  a  lot  of  his  posturing  during  the  sumeru  arc  can  be  attributed  to  him  just  trying  to  follow  this  example  ei  has  unintentionally  set  through  her  actions.  he's  effectively  roleplaying  his  warped  idea  of  a  deity,  and  to  some  extent  it's  kind  of  funny  but  also  very,  very  sad.  (  see:  calling  himself  small  and  ugly.  )

scaramouche  wants  to  become  stronger,  wants  to  fulfill  the  purpose  he  believes  he  was  born  for  so  he  can  show  ei  that  she  was  wrong  to  discard  him.  he  will  resort  to  any  means  necessary  to  FORCE  HER  to  acknowledge  him  —  up  to  and  including  ascending  to  divinity  to  stand  on  equal  footing ... and it still didn't work.

suffice  to  say,  this  places  ren  in  a  very  strange  position.  he  understands  now  that  his  self-destructive  ambitions  were  foolish,  but  there's  still  a  part  of  him  that  continues  to  yearn  desperately  for  CLOSURE.  at  the  same  time,  he's  enough  of  a  realist  to  understand  it  really  isn't  possible.  even  if  they  had  the  opportunity  to  speak  face  to  face,  what  kind  of  words  could  they  possibly  exchange  to  ease  centuries  of  suffering?  he's  carried  this  pain  for  so  long  —  the  wounds  have  been  allowed  to  fester.  there  has  never  been  a  point  in  his  existence  when  he  hasn't  known  the  hurt  of  this  perceived  betrayal.  from  the  moment  he  gained  consciousness,  the  first  thing  ren  heard  was  that  he  wasn't  good  enough  to  perform  the  task  his  creator  expected  of  him.  he  has  grown  and  developed  around  this  knowledge,  this  idea  that  he's  too  fragile  and  inferior  like  an  ivy  vine  entangling  itself  in  a  fence.  at this point, even  if  ei  was  granted  full  knowledge  of  everything  he  had  endured  —  what  would  that  change?  she  could  VALIDATE  his  suffering and his strength,  but  that  would  ultimately do  little  to  ease  his  pain.

he  would  like  to  say  he  wants  nothing  to  do  with  his  mother  because  he's  done  clinging  to  the  past,  but  the  truth  is,  he  knows  it's  pointless.  he  will  never  have  closure.  he  will  ALWAYS  have  to  live  on  with  this  trauma  —  and  perhaps  there  might  come  a  day  where  he'll  be  able  to  make  it  hurt  less,  but  ei  won't  have  anything  to  do  with  it.

all  in  all,  it's  a  really  tragic  situation.  he  still  doesn't  hate  her,  but  he's  also  recognized  there's  no  chance  they'll  ever  be  able  to  establish  any  real  sort  of  bond  —  that  ship  has  sailed,  if  it  even  EXISTED  to  begin  with.

Levi and Eren have lived lifetime after lifetime in a cycle of meeting, falling in love and ultimately losing each other.  Each time they come back, the less of their previous lives they remember.  Someone keeps targeting them and whittling away at their memories.  Why?  Who are they that someone feels threatened by their simple desire to be together?

Hook: They are earthborn deities destined to inherit power and herald in a time of peace, ruling together and taking that power from those that would harm them.

They can be any type of deity or creature.

~Fixated~

Themes: Eldritch Creature, Mutual Obsession, Dark Themes.  Possessive Love.  A Darker Love. 

Levi is an Eldritch God of the Void that has been masquerading as a school janitor while feeding on the students there.  Eren is a new student baffled by all of the rumors surrounding the staff member, even though none of them are anywhere close to the truth.  Levi is bored but Eren wants to know him more.

Hook: They develop a mutual obsession with each other.  Eren is amusing at first but then has the God experiencing love for the first time.  Eren and Levi fall into a dark but all encompassing love.

Themes: Actual BDSM, Kinks, Fetishes, Dynamics and RP borrowing real life experiences from someone in the community.

4: Favourite thing about roleplaying?

My favorite thing is that I get to write with others and learn about so much other stuff! I love writing, and I love the surprising interactions I can get when writing with other people! My favorite things I have written have all stemmed from the crazy crossover shenanigans from Discord or the stuff from previous interactions on here. There is just... so many ideas others can bring to the table and make me think about. Not to mention I've learned about a bunch of new media this way too, stuff I never would have looked at before.

8: What are some similarities between you and your muse/muses?

It all depends on the muses, because some I have more in common than others. Like Patch, for example. I am genderfluid like they are! I also have a love and a spiritual connection with the moon (though I don't have a deity/follower relationship as I am agnostic). I have a lot of pent up anger and general confused emotions like Galacta that I am always trying my best to work through, but an equally as strong love for those close to me (also a similarity with the Squeaks in general).

There are a lot more similarities that I can't delve too much into. Partially because they are a bit personal, but mostly because I'm watching the animated Donkey Kong Country show with my mom and it is actively killing braincells (in the best way).

9: What are some differences between you and your muse/muses?

Well, the nonhuman species for one, magical abilities is another...

As much projection as there may be, they are all very distinct from me. Their experiences that build them as characters are vastly different from mine. And I may never be able to completely portray all those extremes and distinctions simply because I do not have those experiences (and even similarities we have, such as certain mental ticks, are caused by completely different things), nor even voice them properly because it is just beyond my understanding.

This... probably seems like a copout sort of answer, and puts my writing ability into question, but I think it is important for me to admit that, esp if I ever want to improve said ability.

although i don't actually talk about it basically at all, i do actually have a lot of ocs ! one of my favourites as of recent was a throwaway character that i wrote for a roleplay starter than never really got off the ground, but i still fell in love with the character. so here's a little description of him!

prince caerus is the eighteenth heir to the sky kingdom of nimbus, a country that was removed from the earth with no sudden reason and lifted into the sky. the people of nimbus believed it was because whatever deity was out there decided that they were too good for the world below, and in an effort to get them closer to the heavenly principles they knew all too well, they were given a new name and new land to prosper in the sky itself.

the previous name of nimbus was long, long forgotten. and unbeknownst to them, their exposure to the new climate caused all of their biological life to grow in size. from plants to livestock to the people itself, new buildings and settlements were constructed by this unknown deity. their knowledge of humans remains limited, but what they do know is this; humans are filthy, disgusting creatures that don't measure up to a fragment of a nimbus citizen's worth. it is an unspoken rule that contact with the human world is forbidden.

prince caerus, however, is infatuated with humans. an excitable scholar who wishes to learn more about their existence and reason for being, he has dedicated his life to trying to contact humans, yet to no avail. the little knowledge of humans they have is extremely biased and clearly written with the intent to make them seem like a victim of some horrible human's wrath, something the prince has an extremely hard time believing. this is because he believes he has seen a human. just one.

the problem with this was; that human, was tiny. it was why he initially didn't believe that it was human at first. a scared little being that looked just like him and his people, but tens of times smaller and much more fragile. after that, he found little artifacts. a bitesized grandfather clock, a teeny crucible for cooking, and a miniature hairbrush he could barely hold between his fingers. whether it was because of his natural instincts to protect as a future ruler of nimbus, or simply his own infatuation and obsession, he swears to learn more about the humans and their world.

that's a quick little summary of him and his story! caerus is slowly becoming one of my favourite big fellas, albeit i wish i used him more often. any questions about him or his lore, or if you even want to ask him yourself, feel free to send me an ask!

Good lord, I don't even know how to start this whole thing. It's been years since I've last roleplayed, so I'm quite rusty. Guess I'll start it simple.

Hi, name's Ghûl / Tish. I'm also known as Leti. My main blog is @leticris, where I post personal stuff, reblog a lot of things and post my own art. Some of my current favorite fandoms include Twisted Wonderland, Obey Me!, Hades... My tastes vary from time to time. I pretty much know a bit of a few things.

I also happen to play RPG games like D&D, which is where dearest Neophytos was born. There's a RPG system within in my country called Tormenta 20, which has a race called Osteon. They're all skeletons, reborn with necromancy.

However, in my old group's original campaign story, sweet Neophytos was not reborn. He was placed in a skeleton by a deity that was looking for champions so that they could be freed from the dimension they got stuck into, and the champions would then be rewarded with divine ascension.

Neophytos is a creature that belongs to a dimension where all creatures are in constant agony from unexistence. They do not have physical bodies. He was freed by his deity and thus, indebted to them.

Recently, as of January 15th, 2023, my group has disbanded for personal reasons. I did not wish to let Neophytos' existence become negative for me, because I adore him too much to allow such thing to happen. So... He was revamped for RP purposes. And for my own mental health as well.

Doing this as an exercise while I'm struggling to pin down character voices. I'll probably come back to this with other OCs when it comes time to write them. Needless to say, this is going to be full of spoilers for the game.

1: You know I actually don't know? I'm not good at geography that I didn't personally make up, and I'm not that familiar with DnD canon so I hadn't really thought a lot about it. I don't think it's Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate is just where he ended up and got stuck for a while.

2: Honestly not sure. Definitely good *somewhere*. I'm, not super great at alignments either I just roleplay and see where I end up and sort of shrug. I'd guess maybe lawful, because he has a strong set of internal principles that guided him to resist the Urge and later Bhaal.

3: Human, wild magic sorcerer. He's the seventh son of a seventh son several times over, it's a whole family curse that they thought they avoided until the 'daughter' turned out to, not be a daughter after all. Let me have my silly tropes and make them trans ok.

4: Good question, actually. Huh. I'd guess they're probably stuck in their own pod on the nautiloid trying to rewire the bloody thing with magic, and it zaps whoever touches it to try to break them out.

5: Dark Urge, resisting it.

6: Several of them. That moment where Astarion went 'I never realised we were so alike', like he was sad to realise it - even without pursuing him as a romance yeah they are definitely friends and I have PLANS for a post game thing because I WAS CHEATED OF AN ENDING WITH MY FRIEND >:(. Also Karlach because I mean. Karlach. But also - I think she also *gets* having done horrible things, having become someone awful to survive, and now having to become someone different and not having a clue where to start with that. So yeah. They'd be close friends. And I kinda imagine him very much seeing Jaheira as Mum especially with how kind she is about the whole Bhaalspawn mess. And I think after turning down a sexual relationship for Gale's comfort, Hrafn would end up being friends with Halsin in a kind of, peacefully coexist and hold space for eachother way.

7: Gaaaaale. But he totally had a thing for Halsin and was kinda annoyed at how Gale acted about that being brought up like he understands where it came from, he decided to be the bigger person about it but Oh Man That Is Not How Adults Communicate.

8: Shadowheart just *grated* on Hrafn, honestly. And the whole Devoted Service To A Deity thing bugged him before he quite knew why. Now? Eh, he's not really suspicious of any of his companions, they've survived too much bullshit together. Suspicion is reserved for Mystra at this point.

9: I think the *Dark Urge* is from Baldur's Gate. But I think Hrafn was a person before that, and that person is from somewhere else - currently thinking he's from Luskan or the region around it. He woke up and got handed problems to solve and those problems need solving in Baldur's Gate and that's about as much as he cares about the concept of the city, really.

10: Alfira taught him to play the lute, and it has been a meditative practice for him both when he had to fight the Urge every waking moment and now after the game when he has to heal from the scars it has left. He thinks he remembers learning music as a child, but he can't remember specifics.

11: Hrafn is a wild magic sorcerer. He is the weapon. But jokes aside, he likes to make sure whatever staff he uses as a spellcasting focus is also weighted correctly to be good as a melee weapon.

12: In modern terms, Hrafn is a multispec gay man, and I'd guess maybe demi as well but it's a little hard to distinguish what is his sexuality and what is So Much Trauma. In terms of how Hrafn thinks of it, he likes people and no matter who he's with it's always drawn the occasional odd look. The lad's queer.

13: A curse, and now something he wishes desperately to leave in the past. He considered it selfish to ask Orpheus to live on in the form of his worst nightmare and took his life as he was asked to, but swore that that mercy killing would be the last life he ever took. Being forced to go back on that, he would end up in a pretty dark place mentally.

14: Well, we've covered music. Hrafn also likes to paint, and sometimes writing helps him get all the darkness out of his head. I imagine he has a degree of competence in martial arts, the patterns would help him focus. Most of this is coming down to Coping Strategies rather than Hobby though so I'm going to do what I always do and accept that and go well alright maybe that's the point and they have to work on it.

15: I mean, we've covered friends, and he definitely sees Jaheira as a maternal figure though he *probably* hasn't told her that because she's also terrifying. He's got a shameless soft spot for the thieflings and the refugees in general. He's not great on dislike honestly - there's either apathy or VENGEFUL FURY that makes him pretty distressed with the strength of it. Can't really think of anyone specific. Most of his actual enemies are dead so. Yeah.

16: Other than Tara? I think he's like me, if it's cute he loves it what do you mean pick one. Has almost certainly brought a blink dog puppy home, much to Gale and Tara's dismay.

17: No. Adventuring was traumatic and awful and he needs time to heal. He's going to go build himself a nice peaceful sanctuary on his own floor of Gale's tower and not come out for at least a year.

18: I think as the dark urge that's a little complicated. Without being kidnapped, mutilated and infected, there would only be the Dark Urge - the person inside was long dead until waking up on that ship. There isn't really an anything else. Hrafn didn't exist without that.

19: Peacefully. He's lived through so much violence already, he deserves to get to grow old and have the jankiest magical wheelchair that his cat/s totally steal whenever it's unoccupied. And then he'll die of some illness like a normal person who never has to go on stupid adventures with gods ever again.

20: He destroyed it. He already said fuck you to Bhaal he wasn't about to stand around and help his plot on any further.

21: Chaos bolt, closely followed by Nathair's Mischief. It doesn't matter if the caster's magic goes wonky if the spell is meant to be chaotic to begin with.

22: Common. There's little hints of familiarity with other languages but without his memory that's all he's got to work on. I imagine he's set about learning languages for fun, because that can be done from the Books Nest he has inevitably descended into now he doesn't have to adventure anymore.

23: Goes with Gale to Waterdeep. Puts off marriage for at Least a year because everything is too much and the outside is full of people with questions and opinions. Gets to have a normal goddamn life, but at least immediately after the crisis there's a lot of healing required and he deals with shit by enabling Hermit mode. Honestly they both deal with it that way so it probably strains things for a while and Tara and Gale's mum are probably very worried about them without quite knowing how to help.

24: Eeeeh. He's met gods, been bound to one personally, thwarted several others. On a practical level, he *knows* the afterlife to be real. He just doesn't exactly believe there's room in it for him.

25: ohhhhhhh man. See, I'm not great at tarot either. I have a deck but I mostly pick stuff off like, how it vibes to me rather than Knowing The Meanings. So I'm gonna go through my deck and do that now for Hrafn. I can't pick just one, as usual... the Fool, the Lovers, the Hermit, the Hanged Man, the Tower, the Moon... yeah, I can't just pick one. There's a lot of them. And the Dark Urge in particular twigs on a lot of themes. This would be so much easier with a Tav. 26: I think for Hrafn... probably a tiger. Not one of the big majestic ones. One of the slightly scrunkly, incredibly dangerous ones that live in the swamp. I just think they're neat. Simultaneously so, so dangerous and also... it's a cat, it will curl up in the sun and make happy biscuits. That's very much this guy. There's also his new name which is like, raven, omen of Dooooom but like have you seen ravens being goofy. hopping. making fun little sounds. that is very much a thing that i thought about and that amused me when renaming him.

27: Bad. I don't really go in for Inherently Violent as a theme so I kinda have it that, once upon a time, he was a child. He wasn't a normal child exactly, he was still Bhaalspawn and he knew something was wrong with him and it frightened him. And in a world where there are so few Bhaalspawn left I think the cult would've hunted them, and eventually they found Hrafn. And gradually they destroyed every reason he had to fight the darkness until there was nothing left of Hrafn at all and for a while he was dead, until Orin killed what was left in his body and suddenly there was room for an actual person in there again. I think that's why the butler and the Dark Urge want to kill your love interest - now Hrafn has an anchor again, a reason to fight and keep hold of his identity, and they're trying to take it from him.

28: He's the default leader, but he takes guidance from Halsin and Jaheira. He doesn't really consider himself leader material, or hero material, so he looks to the people he sees as the paragons of those things.

29: Oh fuck no. Nuh uh. Something's wrong in his head and he's not about to risk making that worse.

30: I love the thought of this person who was made into something so violent waking up without any memories and just, immediately choosing to do good. And on a personal level I like working with self-loathing and intrusive thoughts and above all *choices* over inherent nature. I love this broken person having to relearn almost everything except violence and starting with learning how to be soft. And how he was so set on saving everybody else when he didn't think he had a chance of the same. I love my hoplelessly altruistic mess of a man and his gentle bookish husband both learning how to People together. I love so many things and I always get like this about my characters dammit. I love that one bit of their romance is always gonna be, elation that Gale's comfortable with his surname again because he wants to share names with him and he didn't have one of his own to offer.
