Like I can't emphasise enough how yall love to immediately turn a healthy male friendship into a "they're in love" thing, then complain we never get healthy male friendships in media. Same with him and Jessica, like are we forgetting these are MARRIED people, one who literally has a child already and another who is literally pregnant?? I especially don't like how yall immediately turn Miguel into some alpha dom daddy over Peter or a submissive twink for Peter, like it's either one or the other, and it icks me. Idk if some of yall have kinks for brown men domming white twinks (especially in this case where neither are "twinks" and one is happilt married to the love of his life with a daughter, but it's... like, it just irks me. I don't ship Miguel with anyone from the Spiderverse tbh. With a Spidersona, sure, but none of the established characters. There's just no one who seems compatible with him at all atm, and he doesn't seem to be in the right place rn for such a relationship. (Which is why it's fine if ppl ship him with their sonas for me, because at least their relationships would hopefully be healthy and fleshed out, but all the ATSV ships with Miguel seem highly forced, especially since he clearly qouldn't even be with anyone in the SS because of his OWN canon event theory and erasure of dimensions thing blah blah. He clearly would believe that even being with someone from a different dimension would probably mess things up, too.) Like some ppl really ship him with a piece of lego (lmfao nah lowkey that kills me), or even a hologram.

goldenpunk aka pavobie: makes sense as seen in the movie they've known each other for awhile and are pretty good friends. compels me in that they display a natural comfort and playfulness with each other that shows they've established a solid bond that has the potential to transition into romance. they're really cute I like them together ^_^

motomami aka jessrio: on the crux between makes sense but leaning more towards doesn't makes sense solely on the technicality of them being from different dimensions and never meeting one another. BUT do I think they would make sense together excluding these factors? Yes. Them being both confident, caring, and successful women in their line of work. rio seems like she has that typical mom humor and jess would find her jokes so corny but cute. I think they'd have some really nice banter and shade throwing about coworkers and the like with a bit a flirting thrown in. I also see jess being able to let her guard down and find comfort in rio. rio seeming to have that natural patience and compassion (probs why she became a nurse practitioner). they'd also appreciate that both of them ain't no slouch, and if they need to get rowdy when someone comes around with some nonsense, they'll do it. also also, i love me some milf yuri. p.s. y'all like the name motomami? i came up with that myself; cause the spidermoms tag was taken over by rule 63 peter x miguel. SPEAKING OF WHICH...

spiderdads aka petermiguel: hmm, where to begin with this well. also on the crux of makes sense/doesn't make sense; but I lean towards doesn't make sense because i don't see what would attract one to the other. someone one spiderverse twit said that peter and miguel don't even give off the vibes of being friends, rather just coworkers that were bonded by a traumatic event. in scenes that they share together, miguel seems more annoyed with peter's comedic nature than anything. on peter's behalf it seems like he trusts miguel (you wouldn't let somebody you don't trust to hold your baby) and doesn't have any animosity towards him. but i think that's just his usual nature, that peter parker is friendly and wise cracking when he's not he's not depressed and stressed. i know i'm gonna get hate for this but jessica (jess literally being his second in command) has way more romantic potential with miguel than peter does, and the only reason why its not as popular as peter x miguel is because its a m/f ship involving a black woman (in general the spiderverse fandom pay jess dust specifically BECAUSE she is black, i guarantee if they kept jess white in atsv there'd be way more content of them). the dynamic that most spiderdads content has is just flanderized versions of their characters where peter is constantly sexually harassing miguel and miguel is perpetually pissed off at peter (ha, bars). overall spiderdads just seems like a 'yaoi for the sake of yaoi' type ship to me. its popular because everybody loves to see two conventionally attractive men fuck. other than that, it doesn't do anything for me.

Since I'm juggling college, it can sometimes vary and may be up for discussion, but generally I will take up to two weeks to write the first 1k words, and a week per 1k words after that. I will however take twice as long for NSFW fics as I do for SFW fics (I'm asexual and sometimes sex-repulsed, so believe me when I say this is for the quality of the writing more than anything else).

I'll give regular updates, and snippets if you like, of the fic's progress

You'll have to pay half the amount upfront, and then I'll start working on the fic! Currently I only accept PayPal.

I really don’t want to be rude, but what is the point in having a League blog if all you do is reblog ATSV stuff? Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying this to be malicious or anything. I know it’s your blog and you’re allowed to post whatever it is you’d like, and it’s selfish of me to even send something like this in, but genuinely what’s the point? You have a SV sideblog, why not just stick to that one completely for now?

In a previous ask, you spoke about not being interested in the Soul Fighter event & that’s part of your explanation for distancing from League - which is valid because it does suck, but still. Again, I know it’s selfish and it seems like I’m policing your posts and your blog, but it’s genuinely just confusing.

It just sucks, because the number of VikJayce content creators has gone down so much in favor of Spiderdads, which, yeah, that’s just how the Ship Circle of Life goes, but it’s still disappointing to watch happen.

I really, really hope you don’t take this in a negative light, again, I’m not trying to police anything and if it comes off that way, I’m really sorry. It’s 1 in the morning and I’m in my feelings about content for my comfort ship slipping away and being drowned out by a new wave of arc*ne watchers who don’t understand these two characters & keep making OOC content that’s completely unenjoyable

I am reblogging those things because the same people who like my vkjc work may find that they enjoy my different fanwork as well, and that's a win-win situation. I have moved on from interest blogs before without a single nod to my new user and gotten messages from old followers about them missing my stuff, which is why I am actually reblogging now for anyone who wants to keep track of it.

I get that it may be a bummer to see less vkjc art for a while but to anyone reading this ask: You Can Still Make The Art You Want To See. I was pretty much working off fumes and my own individual interest to make fanart here and I'm not special for it, I was just the guy who took initiative. Please make bad art. Make things you're unsatisfied with so long as they speak to your internal interests. Make sort of mid stuff until you start making really good stuff. Don't rely on the whims of anyone else to maybe someday do it for you; that's how good things never come to exist.

I genuinely stopped checking AO3 tags for an entire year+ as soon as fandom trends started bothering me and went to sit on a corner to do my own thing. I did that for so long a bunch of other people ALSO got interested in the game version of these characters! I believe in you. I would really encourage you to distance yourself from the 'ship lifecycle' mindset; vikjayce itself has been around for over 12 years and it still hasn't been nuked off the face of the earth, which should say something about how long niches can last. It does rely on a collective effort to make things happen though, not just one or two guys. You should find the thing you see as most enjoyable and make it happen.

But I'm having fun working on something else at the moment, and that's an equally worthy pursuit!

Spiderverse (Peter/Miguel) and Marvel (Loki/Mobius, some Moon Knight stuff I need to get back to) currently.

I try to! I have a hard time accepting any sort of compliment so I used to avoid it, but once I started doing it again, I realized how rewarding it was to engage with people! (Honestly I think it's just been ages since I was active in any sort of fandom community. VLD ruined me.)

5. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of 😳

6. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope! Not sure if I would. I think I'd only do it if the other person handled the plotting 🙈

7. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Steve/Bucky still has my entire heart and then some—it comes in so many flavors. I'm also loving Spiderdads right now, it embodies one of my favorite tropes: grumpy/sunshine pairs.

8. What are your writing strengths?

Natural dialogue! I think I do a good job of capturing characters' essences. I'm also fond of descriptions and metaphors.

9. What are your writing weaknesses?

P L O T . I'm too indecisive for my own good, and even when I outline things change and I often feel it's not going the way it should and I start to think everyone's gonna hate it. I'm never comfortable writing plots. Can the characters live in a void and just do their silly little things please.

(I might still be in fandoms I failed to mention. Another thing I think is important is that I'm not a multishipper, and it's very rare that I also enjoy a character in a different ship than my main one. I do sometimes ship polya ships though. I do prefer gay or queer ships but they don't stop me from enjoying straight ones as well.)
