so, on monday i saw the new superman movie, fell in love with it, and immediately drafted a snowbaz au. it needs much work but it is at least fully drafted, so there's hope it'll be ready soon—i even already have a banner and all.

"Honestly, I thought most celebrities were monogamous... or in layman's terms, normies who happen to date only one person at a time; in fact, I don't know many famous people who are in open relationships, let alone idols who secretly have more than one romantic partner," she then admits. Why, Vivian could certainly see idols having many secret hookups and flings, sure, but more than one romantic relationship? Honestly, to her, it sounded a little far-fetched.

    "If you ask me, though... I feel like a romantic relationship involving more than two people could only work if all parties involved happen to be some sort of queer," she proceeds to idly point out, because for some reason, polycules involving straight individuals of mixed genders almost always led to disaster. Also, harems rarely worked out in real life, to the point where she was pretty sure Ryuta Watanabe was the only Japanese man who succeeded at maintaining a polyamorous relationship while remaining heterosexual.

    "Of course, by 'queer', I'm referring to those who identify as LGBT," Vivian then adds, because she's aware 'queer' was more so a Western word, to the point where it might not have been adopted into the Japanese lexicon alongside neo-pronouns. Still, she doesn't fault Mizumachi for having the boundaries he does, because if you aren't aromantic or polyamorous, sharing would understandably be quite difficult

    "And that's fair. I mean, we all have different things we look for in a partner. Not to mention, it's way better to be on the same page as another person first before becoming completely blindsided by certain stuff later on," Vivian acknowledges. Naturally, this means if someone knew they absolutely didn't want children, it's important they stressed that to whoever they're interested in, just so problems didn't proceed to crop up months down the line.

That’s basically a celebrity, isn’t it? They sell merch of Ariel too, so she’s basically a celebrity in his books. If Hatsune Miku could be a virtual singer celebrity, why couldn’t Ariel? Didn’t matter though, considering she’s a taken women, huh?

“Uhhh I forget the names, but there’s 7 daughters, 1 for each of the 7 seas.”

That’s a whole 6 other sisters to go for instead! Those are some good chances if he had to say so himself.

“Eh? I think it’s normal to be a bit jealous in a relationship though?”

Otherwise, it meant that you didn’t care about your partner. Of course, it was about moderation too. You couldn’t be too jealous either to the point that you do something crazy.

“Ah? Nahhh, I meant like, I can’t share, yanno? I don’t really like those open relationships. What do ya call it again? 3p? I don’t like that stuff.”

Japan did have a pretty… loose definition of being loyal to your partner, like not seeing going to host clubs as cheating, but he didn’t personally agree with that mentality. It probably stemmed from the fact that he played sports, and sportsmanship was big with him. Integrity and honesty were core qualities that he looked for in a person, and he wouldn’t tolerate anyone cheating on him.

“I think someone super famous means I’d have less time with em and that kinda sucks, yanno? I’m already busy with sports, so a popular person like a celebrity means I’ll never see em. Maybe if I really liked em, I could deal with it.”

Mizumachi could be patient, and he would respect the grind, but distance was hard to get over. Think of him as a dog, who just wanted to be around his loved ones all the time, so having a relationship where you were basically a long distance relationship with how you’d rarely have time to see each other… that was really sad to him as a concept.

okay quick context for this rq- this is an au where it diverges after freaking out- instead of possessing the truck, lewis ends up chasing the gang for a while, maybe a week or two? arthur and vivi don't know why this random ghost they met ages ago keeps going after them, but one things for sure- he really, really wants arthur's head on a spike.

In many ways, I (unfortunately) think the worst possible future from her perspective would be for things to more or less continue as they are now: she keeps being hunted for her special, supernatural-cocaine blood and dealing with increasingly dangerous monsters-of-the-week, and putting people she loves in seemingly increasingly dangerous situations (and also, frankly, even people she doesn't care for that much! she doesn't, for example, like Bobby very much at all at this point, but she still didn't want anything bad to happen to him, like what happened at the auction). She’s not really someone who’s ever been great at long-term thinking. She’s always been more of a get-through-the-next-hour type of person. Even when she was younger, the idea of the future was too abstract to feel anything other than inaccessible at best. Lately, though, it’s started to feel more and more like she can’t afford to think too far ahead, because when she does, she finds herself spiraling. She doesn’t want this to be what her life becomes: this perpetual danger and feeling more and more like this has all been borrowed time more than anything else. She doesn’t say it out loud, rarely even to herself, but the fear that this is it—that her life has already narrowed down to this—sits just under the surface. That she’ll keep doing the work, keep taking the hits, keep surviving, but never find a way out of survival mode. That this fight she never asked for becomes the only shape her life is ever allowed to take. So, no—she’s not taking especially active steps to avoid that future as much as she's just trying not to dwell on it, if only because she's not sure she's going to like the answer as to whether there's a material alternative.

pain: What's the worst pain your OC has ever felt? Do they have a high pain tolerance?

Holland has a pretty high pain tolerance, but there are a couple of standout moments vying for most painful single incident (well. maybe up until having a building collapse on her, I suppose 🤪). The first happened the summer after she turned sixteen, when she got a fish hook stuck in her calf and then had it extracted by a not-totally-sober fellow teenage dummy to avoid anyone's parents finding out. (If you're wondering, no, it was not the result of anyone actually going fishing but rather from yet another teenage moron in the rural Midwest having half the contents of a tackle box unsecured in the backseat of his truck). The second item on the pain leaderboard: The summer after her freshman year of college—the only summer she actually came back to Wayhaven— Holland signed up for the town’s twilight charity 10K. Local officials thought “running at golden hour on half-patched back roads” sounded picturesque; Holland thought it sounded like free cardio and an excuse to outrun small-town ennui. Around mile five, she caught a cracked bit of asphalt, jack-knifed sideways, and felt her knee pop like bubble-wrap—torn ACL. Unfortunately, she erroneously assumed it was just a gnarly sprain since it didn’t hurt so bad she couldn’t walk, so she jog-limped the last mile and change, in pain and pissed about the effect on her finish time lmao. It was another month before she went to a doctor and confirmed that, yeah, she for sure needed surgery and absolutely should stop running around on it yesterday xD

I know logically they don’t appear that often irl but I also know in my heart that it’s happened enough that Taichi, then Kazu and Kumon participated. Now,  the rest of Mankai keeps an eye out for them

Citron: If Vanitas could beat her he wouldn’t have to result to tricks like firing at Ven, which she was already off her A-game then mind you. But honestly, if Vanitas can’t even get close to beating Terra what hope does he have to actually beat Aqua. I can vouch that he can’t beat Terra. I beat the Terra v Xehanort and Vanitas battle by whacking Vanitas around. It was really easy. Vanitas has only beaten Ven in a fair fight. He’s not nearly as strong as Terra and Aqua. It’s demonstrated through their elements, really. Vanitas is fire...

So yeah those are some of my headcanons involving KH and CitoIta (and Banri with minor Mankai mentions.) If anyone wants to do Taichi(who idk could play already, while I haven’t picked any out I know what type of moments would be his faves, I just can’t figure out yet if he prefers characters he relates to or characters he thinks are cool/want to be like) or Kumon (who I’d feel would want to start after seeing them enjoy it, bet Banri and Citron would have him play chronologically by timeline rather than release order “for science”) or any other characters, really, I’d gladly read it. I can see Taichi & Kumon playing KH but I don’t feel like I know them well enough to do this with them lol. I’m not even sure I know Banri well even to this with him but I attempted it lol. If there’s any questions about my decisions I might answer them, some are easier to put into words than others though.

so, I'm working on this new mckirk fic I've been meaning to write for a while and I was planning for each chapter to be around 3k words long so that with 10 chapters I'd end up with around 30k in the end ...

yeah, well, I should have taken into account that it's apparently impossible for me to stick to any kind of word limit because:
