@/antodemico is a big inspiration for me so I tried my hand at creating a DnD Paladin subclass. It's only developed up to level 5 because I created it for a oneshot but it was so much fun working on it!

I researched other subclasses to help me level the "power" of the Chanel Divinity and I tried to do something new that fits the subclass. Also I gave it an everpresent malus that is: always dealing non l3thal damage, but I think it's fun and doesn't get too much in the way

I'll admit that if someone asks me about my thought process behind my little subclass I will, infact, start vibrating at unhearable frequencies becuase I'm so excited to discuss this

It’s modded with herobrine and the graveyard mods and others, but it’s an smp my irl friend (random trans woman in bio) set up. We’ve got both Into the Fog and The End of Herobrine installed so we have both a hostile & passive herobrine

But yea I was enlarging a cubby I built in our house I made for a villager so it didn’t escape and I looked over and Herobrine was standing there

Adjust pH spell. In DND terms this would be like a 2nd level transmutation. Adjust a thing's pH level up or down by 1, but casting at higher levels lets you adjust by 1 more per level higher than second

I am not a chemistry buff so I have no idea what this would do or how useful it would be but it's funny I think

Hey Mochi! I'm writing my first smut fic (my dnd party has a romance going on and its consumed my thoughts so drastic actions are being taken). Do you have any tips or tricks? You're writing in coping skills specifically is just so so good in sex scenes and I'm curious if theres anything you've noted helps when writing that sort of thing

MANY TIPS except maybe not actually ive been doing this for so long that a lot of it is second nature and also a LOT of it is just... normal ass writing advice lol

but for ur consideration:

🔥 HOT TIP #1: dont be afraid to use ur characters names. similarly dont be afraid to use the same word for other nouns, like body parts, tools, etc. it is a lot easier to keep things clear and flowing when you, as the writer, arent trying to use a synonym for everything, so that your readers don't have to do math lady meme faces trying to figure out what limb is whose

🔥 HOT TIP #2: this is hard for a lot of people i know that i am a weirdo who basically transcribes video when writing, but the better you can visualize whats going on in ur scene, the more effective your description of movement and interaction will be, ESPECIALLY with stuff in close contact like smut (or fight scenes, or dancing, and so on).

🔥 HOT TIP #2a: if you are in a situation where you can comfortably just.... watch porn, i highly recommend this, not only to help visualize how bodies act and move during sex, but to broaden ur scope of sex acts. i spend an absolutely wild amount of time watching teaser clips of all sorts from indie models on twitter and my ph algo is absolutely *fucked* lmao. same as visual artists should use reference as needed for their art, so should writers, and ur not gonna be able to write *everything* from personal experience

u can also absolutely use other smutty mediums for reference, like comics or illustrations, photographs, or yeah writing, but if you are not a particularly visual thinker, having some sort of specifically visual reference to base stuff off can be very helpful, from what some of my writing bros have shared

🔥 HOT TIP #3: vocab is really *really* important in smut. i have Opinions on words for junk and jizz and all that, but when it comes to writing, the words you use *gotta* match your characters voice. its super subjective, especially in fanfic, and can definitely be fluid depending on the situation, but it has to be consistent with your characterization across the board, with strong internal logic

equally important are the words you *don't* use--if your pov character is stuck up and nervous and a little prudish like the way i tend to write essek, using euphemisms or otherwise talking around the gross specifics can really emphasize that characterization and lead to really vulgar turns of phrase hitting super hard (ie esseks internal monologue going "caleb could spit in esseks mouth and essek would thank him for it" or whatever it was is incredibly striking because so much of esseks desire is not explicitly voiced)

you can legitimately use any kind of dick+ vocab and make it land when its paired with the right character and situation, though the weirder you go the harder it is to make it work

🔥 HOT TIP #4: write what you find hot. if u write shit u specifically are horny for, it will shine thru and people will go nuts for it. follow ur weird lil heart, have fun with it, yes-and with ur dick in hand and ur smut will be fabulous

My dream party for a Watcher DnD podcast:

Steven Lim. This man commits to the bit on a level that I don't think I'll ever be able to comprehend. He is EVERYTHING. The amount of chaotic energy he brings to the Watcher Cinematic Universe is incredible and watching him play DnD again would probably mend every single piece of my little rotten soul.

Ryan Bergara. I know, Ryan would OBVIOUSLY be in the party if they made a show, but WE NEED TO HIGHLIGHT HOW AWESOME HE IS. Again, incredibly chaotic energy, committing to the bit, lots of good vibes, the whole shebang. But what I'd be most excited for would be for Ryan to play in a long term campaign and start going full conspiracy theorist with the lore. It would be incredible.

Katie Leblanc. Just watch her as Quezza in Sdndnd. That's all. She's so wonderful.

Joyce Louis-Jean. JOYCE. IS. EVERYTHING. She's incredibly funny, charming, and would create the most kickass PCs, I can feel it in my BONES. I support Joyce rights and Joyce wrongs, and would be thrilled to see both unfold in a campaign.

Ricky Wang. I think Ricky would be an INCREDIBLE person to have at the table. Sure, he isn't as openly chaotic as Steven / Shane / Ryan, but he brings this subtle, supportive energy to the shows he's on. He has such a wonderful presence, and I feel like he'd be an incredible team player. Plus, he's got a bit of a chaotic streak too. We've seen how excited he got about the potential of committing arson on that one ph episode.

Oh, you silly silly booger, Shane would be the DM! After seeing his storytelling prowess in the hot daga / puppet history / sdndnd, I would be absolutely THRILLED to see a patented Shane Madej™ homebrew world. Can you IMAGINE the lore he'd create??? The NPCs???

Alternatively, if Shane doesn't DM, I think Brennan Lee Mulligan would be a great fit to play with the Watcher crew. However, it would also be cool to see Brennan as a player in the campaign.

A few other people I think would be incredible for the Watcher crew to play with (feel free to add on to the list):

Anyone from the D20 gang (Zac Oyama, Lou Wilson, Emily Axford... etc), any of the Try Guys, Brittany Broski, Matt Mercer (I just think it would be silly), Garrett Watts, Sara Rubin...

So I took a college chemistry course a couple years ago and learned about acids and bases and their relationship with water. This is a post about DnD. Water elementals and Genasi are resistant to acid damage, despite the fact that water is actually drastically and easily affected by most acids and bases. Some summoning spells for elementals require a chunk of that element, so in theory the water elemental would need their water to keep being water and not some extremely basic or acidic substance.

To be clear: acids are substances with too few electrons and will take H2O apart, leaving a bunch of single positive Hydrogen ions with no electrons. Bases are substances with too many electrons and will rip away that electron-less H+ molecule to leave a bunch of negative OH ions. Mixing an acid or a base with water can dilute the acidity/basicness, but that just trades quality for quantity. This could get pretty bad for a Water Genasi covered in water. And it would mean the damage to a water elemental would spread throughout instead of only effecting the impacted surface. Again, if putting out the fire elemental kills it, then chemically altering the water elemental to something other than water should be pretty bad too.

So they should be vulnerable, if anything? Maybe not! While the Conjure Elemental spell requires a “10 foot cube” of the element in question, (rules are probably loose for fire elemental) it does not state that the cube is consumed or transformed into the elemental. In a related note, an Air Genasi is able to hold their breath endlessly, as if their lungs had access to unlimited breathable air.

In other words, elementals and Genasi are not just made of or partially composed of their element: they are constantly producing or simulating the presence of their element. The moment a water elemental’s water is reacted with in any major way it stops being water; thus it stops being the thing that is summoned or manifested, and is replaced by “normal”, unaffected water, most likely with a pH of around 7.

It is possible that in a more technologically advanced world with a more widespread understanding of chemistry this would not be the case, and instead water Genasi and elementals might be vulnerable to acid. But that would require a mixture of the world and the weave of magic recognizing the chemical change as a form this fake water can take while simultaneously seeing sufficiently acidic or basic water as being no longer a medium that could constitute an elemental’s body. If anything, it would be more likely that hitting a water elemental with enough acid would just turn it into an acid elemental.

Even then that would only be natural, non-summoned acid that might stick around. Many spells that deal acid damage are similarly simulated acid that vanishes after a few moments.
