i finally saw the new dnd movie and it was really enjoyable! my only real note is that it needed to be queerer b/c it was not at all (and who ever heard of an apparently straight dnd party??! that's like straight vampires...not a thing :3).

also idk if it would have been possible but it would have been neat if they'd figured out a way to work a jeremy irons cameo in somehow (since he's the best part of the 2000s dnd movie and they have a cameo of characters from the cartoon).

but really other than that, it was very solid, fun and i enjoyed all the little lore easter eggs and other silliness a lot.

tangent but we got the free trial of paramount plus to watch it (it's also available to rent/buy on amazon and elsewhere) just to check it out and whew, that service is really empty isn't it? it's got star trek and this movie and not much else (also the "featured" films were kinda red-flagish in a pro "merica" sort of way). we will probably utilize it for the star trek but not continue it past the free trial (it's a month long trial at least). also in the free trial there are lots of ads which sucks (idk if there are ads in the service too? that would be shitty if so)
