OMG this is so cool!!!
I can’t believe I’m finally in outer space and so close to a black hole!
I feel like the space core from portal 2 right now.
Tumblr media
Greetings, April. Are you ready to have a mini-vacation in space? Nardo will open a portal to Xino's space shuttle.
GASP, feel lucky, you'll get to see a black hole! That's where I was last time.
Hi @donniesexceptionalmind
Funny enough I was just about to go bother you in your lab about it. Oh, this is going to be so much fun.
Let’s go!

Double Edged Daredevils
Ses Carny and Crimson Locksley
We’ve seen Ses Carny eat and breathe fire. We’ve seen him hammer a nail into his head. We’ve heard the story of him putting fishhooks in his eyes. (Both those acts have been retired) What more can you say about a guy who can do all of that over and over and keep us coming back for more? The one person we forget to talk about is the person who has the power to change the fundamental DNA of his act. If there is one thing that’s painfully normal about Ses it’s how passionately and unashamedly in love he is with his wife Crimson Locksley. The Daredevils would not be the same without her. So we want to tell you about the artistry it takes to be the human down range of the knives.
A Confidence And Poise We Do Not Possess
Crimson owns the space like she was born there. It’s almost like those are her knives and she allows Ses to use them. She makes the Magic happen with her consent. If she didn’t consent to all this the act would go from side show to jail cell in a heartbeat. She exudes a confidence and poise that we do not possess. And she steps out and bows at the end of each trick like she’s Van Halen after a killer solo. As Ses himself will say he is not a role model. Crimson is the ultimate example of female empowerment and body autonomy. It takes both of them to make this trick work.

Lords Of Adventure
When you first look at these two self-identified identical sword-fighting twins you think “Their mama’s got some explaining to do”. The second thing you notice is that they are wicked funny. They have this manic energy of ten-year-olds that ate all of the sweets at the Faire and chased them down with a gallon of cream soda. Yet they have this wonderful way of converting the “token” stage combat show at the Ren Faire into something that’s laughingly disarming.
A Rollicking Good Time
Framing this show as a friendly duel between two brothers takes away the “hokiness” of stage combat” and turns it into a rollicking good time. Anyone who’s had an Xmas Day sword fight with wrapping paper tubes knows the kind of energy I mean. We all know brothers exactly like this, we all have cousins like this in our family. We all know someone who would get a bit too excited if you handed them a long sword.
Chaotic Doesn’t Translate Into Recklessness
Yet that energy doesn’t translate into recklessness. In fact the whole act felt very safe. You didn’t feel like a sword would come sailing at your head at any moment. Nice and Smooth might have an energy like kids but they have an adult’s awareness of their surroundings and the training to know what’s safe and what’s not. We walked by their stage during the afternoon when it was raining and they were doing a completely different act without swords. They know when to play and know when to put the swords away.
Nick Nice and Randy Smooth

Jacques Ze Whipper
Jack Lepiarz
One of the biggest things we’ve noticed about Jacques is that he is a stand-up comedian holding a whip. Yes, he’s trained and highly skilled but his humor is almost as fast as his whip. The other thing he does is he make himself the straight man in this comic duo of him and the audience. Half the fun is watching the audience catcall and shout from the stands and seeing Jack blush or zing them with a huge comeback. We also noticed that the acts became more Jack-centric and less “Jacques”.
Less Jacques More Jack
Less of the act explains who Jacques is and what whips are. He doesn’t have to introduce people into his little world. TikTok has already done that. So now it’s more showing the audience tricks that exhibit more skill (we think) and less gimmick. Also, there is less French accent. We feel like what we’re seeing now is more well-rounded. It’s more focused and grounded on a personal level. That grounded feeling is not what we’re used to seeing in a circus arts act. Jack’s act has something most solo artists can learn in building a grounded authentic performance.
NJ-11
Connor O’ Carraig
A Leprechaun that does magic tricks. That’s really what Connor O’Carraig is. He walks onstage and starts cracking jokes. He tells the audience he’s going to do three tricks and that will be it. If you’ve seen only five sleight of hand magicians in your life you’ve seen each of these tricks at least twice. Yet Connor goes on to demonstrate the magician’s true artistry, patter, and makes the tricks look brand new again.
Distinct Entrancing Style
You can Google linking rings, coin magic, and rope tricks and find out how these tricks are done. You know that and Connor knows that. The artistry is not in doing the magic moves but in using “patter” (jokes and words) to give us a plot that wraps around the trick. The plot hooks the audience in and brings us over to the magician’s side. We’re not just staring at a coin trick we’re listening to a story or laughing at some really good jokes. Now we don’t even care that we’re watching magic tricks. We’ve actually forgotten that we’re watching tricks. We’re watching a performance, we’re buying into Connor’s character, we’re enjoying ourselves. It’s proof that it’s not the magic trick or the secret moves. It’s the distinct entrancing style of the performer.

Shelli Buttons
When we first met Shelli Buttons it was pouring rain in 2023 and she had to cancel her show. But there she was in a mermaid tail and sliding around in the mud with her duck Winston following her everywhere she went. We knew we had to catch her act this year to see what the heck she was about. This year it was still raining but Shelli was ready to go with two students Jules and Gwen. Winston was there too having a love affair with Gwen’s boot. It was here that we were truly initiated into the chaotic mashup of fire, flair and feathers that is Shelli Buttons.
A Serious Chaotic Energy
You watch Shelli for five seconds and you will get a serious chaotic energy. She asks the audience what tricks they’d like to see, she has to scold the duck for attacking Gwen’s shoes, and even has to borrow a lighter from the audience to light her torches. Yet then she starts juggling torches and knives and walking on wine bottles and you’re like “oh now I get it”. If you’re this heckin talented you get to be a chaos demon. If you juggle three swords while standing on wine bottles in the rain you get to dance like an idiot at the end. What else would you do?
Where Shelli doesn’t mess around is with her students. Jules and Gwen are both young aerialists so you expect some awkwardness in transitions and some lack of grace in spins. But both of these artists were solid and steady in the routines and held their poses with confidence. Shelli’s chaotic energy vanished when she was spotting both of them and making sure they landed safely. When her students were on the Lyra she was all business. That’s what you want to see in an aerial instructor.

Bardy Pardy
Hannah Ward, Stephanie Krause, Chelsea Carlson
When you walk into a Ren Faire there are a handful of songs you just have to hear or it didn’t happen (Rosemary and Thyme is the Faire Free Bird). You have to see something played on a traditional instrument. You expect these things. Yet what you don’t expect is to hear a trio of femme voices singing right harmonies and beautiful songs. You also don’t expect to hear all this while shoving pizza into your face. This is how we met Bardy Pardy.
Not Your Normal Ren Faire Trio
Bardy Pardy just isn’t your normal Ren Faire Trio. From creating funny and engaging characters to singing lilting melodies they were a wonderful and entertaining act. It’s hard to make people care about your art while they are slamming food down. Most of the time as a musician you are just there to create the “ambiance” of the Great Hall. Yet Bardy Pardy had folx singing along and clapping the beat with them. They were also supported by a nice corps of fans. It was nice to see a group that built a community at the Repaste stage.

Note
What’s a good comic that doesn’t involve superheroes?
oh buddy. pal. friendo. I’ll limit myself to books currently running to keep this only a single mile long. Note that depending on how loose your definition of “superhero” is will affect this. I’ve seen people call John McClane a superhero so yeah.
Something is Killing the Children
by James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera (Boom! Studios)
Tumblr media
Kids have been going missing in a sleepy woodland town. A strange woman named Erica arrives, determined to do something about it. She partners with a young boy who claims to have seen the thing stalking the town, and things quickly spiral further out of control. Well-written characters and fantastic art. Easily my favorite book running right now.
The Department of Truth
by James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds (Image)
Tumblr media
Cole Turner is an FBI agent who specializes in conspiracy theories and the deleterious effect it has on the minds of people obsessed with them. Unfortunately for him, he is about to discover that there is more going on under the surface than he realized and belief is far more powerful than he could ever imagine. Tynion is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers, and Simmonds’s art is even better here than it was in Dying Is Easy (which I also recommend). This series has one of the best first issues I’ve ever read, and I was hooked instantly. A definite recommend if you are as interested in conspiracy theories as I am.
Fire Power
by Robert Kirkman and Chris Samnee (Image)
Tumblr media
Owen Johnson is a regular dad in the suburbs. He has a great wife, two kids and a job working at his father-in-law’s antique shop. What sets him apart is that he had spent years of his early life in a Shaolin temple, mastering martial arts, including the legendary Fire Power, the ability to generate fire from his body. He has long since turned his back on his order and the responsibilities they demand, but his former life is not ready to let him go. Written by Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead and with art by the great Chris Samnee, Fire Power is a great martial arts comic, recommended for fans of Street Fighter or anyone who likes seeing monks and ninjas beat each other up. I definitely recommend starting from the “Volume 0″ prequel trade. It’s not ESSENTIAL but I believe the story flows much better with it that way.
Fear Case
by Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins (Dark Horse)
Tumblr media
Two Secret Service agents are investigating the Fear Case, the Service’s oldest open case. All agents are put on the case, but are only given a single year to investigate, as the case has the tendency to ruin the lives of those who get too close. Winters and Mitchum are in the last three weeks before they have to turn the case over, but they are closer than anyone has gotten in the history of the Service to getting their hands on the legendary box. But the closer they get, the more bodies they seem to find, and the duo’s mental and emotional limits are stretched to their breaking point. Everything Matt Kindt writes is worth reading, and this series is no different. Recommended for fans of the X-Files and other supernatural mysteries.
I Breathed a Body
by Zac Thompson and Andy MacDonald (Aftershock)
Tumblr media
Telling too much about this comic would honestly be spoiling it. In the not-too-distant future, the biggest social media influencer in the world posts something horrific and the macabre lengths his PR team go to to handle it. The art is extremely good at showing the body horror involved and while I do recommend the comic, be warned, it is *extremely* fucked up. Excellent horror comic.
Once and Future
by Kieron Gillen and Dan Mora (Boom! Studios)
Tumblr media
Terrorists resurrect King Arthur in a bid for power, but it turns out that the english legend is not what they thought or bargained for. Now, a retired monster hunter and her archeologist grandson must turn back the tide of returning myths before the world is irreversibly plunged into darkness. But their family history has plenty of shadows of their own. Really great book from two of my favorite creators, and really love the way they play with the metatextual nature of the myths and legends involved. Very fun.
Seven Secrets
by Tom Taylor and Daniele Di Nicuolo (Boom! Studios)
Tumblr media
A clandestine order protects seven briefcases which hold seven secrets. However, a betrayal from within threatens to reveal those secrets, and Caspar, the son of two former protectors of the Seven Secrets, must discover the truth before all is lost. Tom Taylor is a fantastic writer that makes everything he writes infectiously fun, and with Di Nicuolo’s great eye for action scenes, this is an adventure book worth checking out.
Stillwater
by Chip Zdarsky and Ramón K. Pérez (Image)
Tumblr media
A promise of a substantial inheritance brings Daniel West and his friend to the quiet town of Stillwater. However, they quickly realize the town’s sinister secret: in Stillwater, nobody dies. And as the marketing for the book says, that’s not just a promise, it’s a threat. Good writing and an intriguing mystery. Highly recommended.
That Texas Blood
by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips (Image)
Tumblr media
The murder of his brother brings an aspiring writer back to the Texas town of his youth, and puts him on a violent road to his own undoing. Fantastic writing. If you’re like me and love dark neo-western and crime stories, then I honestly can’t recommend this book enough. Look elsewhere if you want happy endings.
We Only Find Them When They’re Dead
by Al Ewing and Simone Di Meo (Boom! Studios)
Tumblr media
Captain Malik and his crew pilot an autopsy ship, so named because they harvest meat, metal and other materials from the fresh corpses of dead gods that appear on the edge of space. Malik wants to see a living god, and is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. But the ghosts of his past haunt him, and until he confronts them, making history won’t be easy. Fantastic cosmic sci-fi story with gorgeous art by Di Meo. Recommended for people who love stories set in space, and also for people who love long panels.
American Ronin
by Peter Milligan and ACO (AWA Upshot)
Tumblr media
In a future where supercorporations rule everyone’s lives (I know that may be hard to visualize but try to imagine it), war is fought not by nations, but by enhanced operatives carrying out all manner of assassinations and espionage. But when one unnamed operative breaks his programming and goes on the hunt, the entire sick system is about to be violently brought down. Really interesting protagonist who has a great ability. Hunt down his targets by ingesting their DNA to learn how they think, and then using that empathic ability to get inside their heads. The cat and mouse games are really fun, and I highly recommend for anyone who likes superspy stories or seeing complex plans pay off.
Casual Fling
by Jason Starr and Dalibor Talajić (AWA Upshot)
Tumblr media
Jennifer Ryan is a successful lawyer with a loving family and a great career, but a bad decision (that is, cheating on her stay-at-home husband) made on a whim has disastrous consequences. Saying much more would be spoiling, but there is definitely something sinister going on beneath the surface. Made in the style of erotic thrillers like Fatal Attraction and Eyes Wide Shut, this book features very well-written, realistic characters and importantly (to me anyway) refuses to condemn the protagonist while not shying away from the destructive results of her mistakes. I picked this book up because I liked Jason Starr’s previous book, Red Border, and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Recommended.
Bitter Root
by David F. Walker, Chuck Brown and Sanford Greene (Image)
Tumblr media
In 1920s Harlem, a long-standing family of monster hunters is splintering. Tragedy and conflicting worldviews are tearing them apart, and they’re going to need to stand together if they want to save New York City from the darkness that’s coming. Hate is a powerful thing, but also a cancer, and it’s about to metastasize. Really great worldbuilding and immediately likeable characters. Despite having a lot of themes about hate and prejudice (and utilizing them particularly well, in my opinion), the book is an exceptional action story. David F. Walker is a favorite writer of mine (See: Shaft, Nighthawk, Luke Cage) and Chuck Brown wrote the incredibly fun On the Stump (also highly recommended). The issues also feature essays from black scholars who expand on some of the historical events and themes that are present in the book, if you’re into that sort of thing (which I am). I’m not sure if those are in the trades, though.
Honorable Mentions/Books that I am too tired to give the full treatment to right now: Babyteeth (Aftershock) Chained to the Grave (IDW) Dead Dog’s Bite (Dark Horse) Decorum (Image) Deep Beyond (Image) Dryad (Oni Press) Family Tree (Image) The Goon (Albatross Funnybooks) Killadelphia (Image) Nocterra (Image) Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mythology (Dark Horse) Orcs (Boom! darcy cameron , twenty - two , he / him , scorpio
+ loyal , passionate , strategic , dependable
- standoffish , argumentative , morbid , blunt
╰ ✧ JACOB ELORDI. MUSE TEN. BISEXUAL. ❞ say hello to the s club’s very own DARCY CAMERON! a TWENTY-TWO year old CISMALE that goes by HE/HIM pronouns. i heard they were voted MOST LIKELY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD in high school, which says a lot about them because they’re very ASTUTE and LEVEL-HEADED, but watch out for their STUBBORN and OBSESSIVE side as well. i hope they’re ready to take a break from being a STUDENT and finally get this summer started!
aiiiiGHHHT , let us dive in ! im doin bullet points in lieu of a fancy bio BUT keep ya eyes peeled.
darcy is the only son of a single mother , born in gainesville, florida. she was a a teenaged aspiring singer , his father a gigantic question mark. honestly , he’s never really cared much about the man who provided half his dna. darcy’s mother was the one there for him , & that was enough.
his childhood was a bit of a mess. he & his mother jumped around to wherever she could find a job. a friend in ohio offered her a bedroom & a gig at his club. after a year & a half there , they cruised around michigan spending their nights in dive bars , staying in motels & perfecting their “ dine n’ dash ”.
as a result , he grew up Fast. he had to learn to read situations and make quick decisions. he is the calm eye of the storm , steady in treacherous waters and relatively unflappable. you won’t see darcy lose his temper -- but you might catch a glimmer of impatience , if you’re lucky enough.
it was more of the same until he turned 17 & the duo settled in miami. his mother didn’t necessarily stop providing for him , but darcy saw how tough things were for her and decided to branch out on his own to give her space & freedom to pursue her dream. to this day he still sends her a part of his paycheck. ( big momma’s boy energy )
he won’t admit it , but he’s always craved stability. it’s part of the reason he’s so responsible -- darcy puts roots down wherever he can , even if he has to abandon them soon after. any sense of normalcy brings him comfort.
that , plus his mom’s tendency to be a bit . . . wild ? she never totally grew up , and it forced him to be her foil. she sees adventure , he sees danger.
if we’re being brutally honest : darcy parented himself. he set his own rules , his own boundaries. hell , he would’ve even grounded himself had he been the type to even think about getting in any trouble. his mother has a big heart -- she taught him to love passionately and endlessly , to see the world as a beautiful ocean of opportunities. he may not have had many material things during his childhood , but he had all the love he could ask for. some people just aren’t meant to be parents.
but he’s got this BRAIN. unlike his mom , who dropped out of hs in her senior year , darcy excelled in school. top grades , ap placements , etc. he just never stayed in one place long enough for it to really matter.
( & sooner or later , you just stop trying. )
a lil bit of a know - it - all. starts off every argument w “ i’m not going to argue with you ” nd then rapidly devolves into a passionate debate that only he cares about.
he is Always Right. periodt.
can come off as apathetic & cold , bc he is so logic - based. it’s easier for him to take emotion out of the equation and proceed from there.
but ! he doesn’t lack empathy. he’s always had trouble expressing himself in that way , and it makes him feel like an Other. he wants to understand people , and he does try.
he’s sorta like a big brother : a touch arrogant , bit of a dick , but he’s gonna look out for you , know matter what. darcy is the one you call when it’s 4 am and you need someone to walk you home. he’s got your back.
major Control Freak. will reorganize your room when you’re not looking.
his friends might think of him as a bit of a fuddy - duddy , as he’s always the first to point out the holes in any plan dreamt up by the more adventurous ones around him. he isn’t necessarily law - abiding or even morally above anyone else -- he just doesn’t want to do anything STUPID.
part of him misses his chaotic childhood , while the other part is grateful to have escaped it. consolidating the two is -- at this point -- impossible.
i feel like im missing so much lmao but !!!!! hmu for plotting and we can delve deeper and make each other cry!!!

Info and Junk about my Power Rangers Fanfiction
⛔WARNING: SUPER LONG POST⛔
Like I said in my last post, I've been working on the story for two years and between that time, I've worked on the title, the characters, villains, and everything in between. And without further ado... here's the lore of the story:
The official title of the story:
Power Rangers Wing Commanders
The Plot:
Coming from another dimension, Dark Sparrow and his army of space pirates are planning to conquer earth and enslave everyone that lives on it. Now, it's up to a new team of heroes to take to the sky and save the day. They are, Power Rangers Wing Commanders.
The Setting:
The story takes place in the city of Finn Hill. A massive city in Southern California where humans and anthro animals co-exist with one another (and no, there's no beastiality). The city is also known for its landmarks and it's famous Mayor, Pheobe Tsubaki.
Tumblr media
Locations (so far):
Finn Hill High School: The main high school where Jeremy, Roy, Adrian, Kayla, and Lucy go to when they're not out saving the world from intergalactic villains and monsters. Like every other high school-they got tons of classes to go to, piles of homework to do, and dealing with annoying school bullies; all five of them almost have the same classes together and during lunch or study hall, they would always discuss strategies on how to take down one of Dark Sparrow's monsters.
W.C.O Headquarters: The Rangers' main HQ and home base of the Wing Commander Organization (or W.C.O for short). The base itself is a massive helicarrier that hovers over the entire city 24/7 and monitors for any monster attacks or unusual activity; the Rangers' zords and wing-cycles are held in the cargo bay. Once they've been activated (either by the rangers or by Professor Foxworth), they get transported to the launch bay and prepare to launch.
The Finn Hill Mall: A huge mall that is located in the downtown area of the city and is the main hangout spot for Jeremy and the others to chill and relax after a long day of being superheroes. Inside the mall, there's a local music shop that goes by the name of "Music Fever" which is owned by Kayla's father and uncle, along with that, there's also a smoothie shop that is called "Green Paw Smoothies" in which, is owned by Adrian's family.
Dark Terrarium: This is Dark Sparrow's massive spaceship and his base of operations. Inside this ship, Sparrow and his minions hatch up ideas and plans on how to destroy the power rangers, how to conquer earth, and what monsters to create. Also, the ship itself is packed to the brim with state-of-the-art weaponry and a deadly laser beam that can decimate planets.
Side Characters (So far):
Nelson Skuller/Billy Blake/Mira Thompson: A trio of school bullies that pick on the Rangers on a daily basis and just for the fun of it. But whenever they get confronted by a monster or by a couple of Nexors...they usually turn tail and run away, or even attempt to fight the odd creatures (and fail miserably). And whenever they try to pull a prank or a stunt, it always backfires on them.
Principle Bernstein: The head principal of Finn Hill High School. Due to being a brown bear, some of the students and other teachers tend to find Mr. Berenstain both "intimidating or scary". But in reality, he's a pretty kind and gentle mammal-but if he catches you causing trouble or skipping class...his mood will automatically change and he'll end up giving you either a good scolding, two weeks detention, or a possible school suspension.
Kelsey Hudson: A 16-year-old border collie who is an old childhood friend of Adrian's and a huge fan of the power rangers. When she found out Adrian was a ranger, she completely lost it and was happy for her friend (she even has a blog dedicated to the heroes); but whenever she sees Adrian or the others get hurt during a battle, she gets super anxious and worries about them a lot. After the monster is defeated and everything, she gets reassuring comfort from the rangers to let her know that they're okay and both her and the city is saved once again.
Episodes (So Far):
1. Wings of Change Pt 1:
An intergalactic space pirate named Dark Sparrow and his alien armada have arrived on earth and are on the verge of taking it over. Until an unlikely team of heroes comes together to stop them.
2. Wings of Change Pt 2:
As the Rangers get the hang of their new powers, they will need to combine them to take down Dark Sparrow’s army and the gecko monster.
3. Jurassic Terror:
When Jeremy and his class go on a field trip to the Finn Hill Natural History Museum, things turn for the worst, when Rag-Zar takes the DNA of a T-Rex fossil and creates a prehistoric monster.
4. Ranger Photoshoot:
When a magazine company interviews the rangers for a special article, Dark Sparrow hatches up a plan to make the ranger’s interview their last.
5. Cool as Blue:
A new girl has arrived at Finn Hill and Roy has a major crush on her. While he's trying to ask her out, the other rangers have their hands full dealing with the thunder-beetle monster.
6. Adventures in Rangersitting:
When Adrian gets stuck babysitting his little cousins, things get a little wild when they get snatched up by the King Owl Monster.
7. Arctic Showdown:
When a monster named Blizzardhound attempts to turn the city into the next ice age, the Rangers fly to the rescue.
8. Collide:
When Roy and Kalya’s constant bickering gets out of hand, they are forced to work together when Jeremy and the others get captured by Rag-Zar.
9. Color Switch:
After being attacked by the Wizard Dragon monster, Lucy and Adrian end up switching bodies and soon started seeing things from a different perspective.
10. Bad Monster Day:
When Dark Sparrow’s newest monster refuses to attack the city, he attempts to aid the rangers on taking down his former master.
11. Cats Vs Dogs:
When the monster feline duo, Calico, and Calica, put Adrian in a mind-control spell, they use him to destroy the other rangers.
12. The Ranger and the Bully:
When a trio of school bullies steal Lucy and Kayla's morphers, they run into trouble when they're hunted down by Rag-Zar, Zerrick, and the Mighty-Mirror monster.
13. Crying Crabs: As the Rangers enjoy their day off at the beach, things get bad when the queen crab monster creates a massive tidal wave to wash away Finn Hill. Meanwhile, Professor Foxworth and the rest of the scientists are working on a new fleet of zords.
14. Return of the Claws: When Calico returns more strong and powerful, she seeks revenge on the rangers for destroying Calica.
15. Cyber Racer: It's the annual Finn Hill Grand Prix and everyone including the rangers is excited about it. Until a mysterious racer joins the race and turns everything upside down.
16. The Golden Fox Pt 1: When Professor Foxworth's nephew, Ashton, comes to Finn Hill, strange occurrences started to happen and a new threat was on the horizon.
17. The Golden Fox Pt 2: After Ashton learns that Jeremy and the others are power rangers, he wants to aid them in protecting the city and stopping Dark Sparrow. However, the professor has mix feelings about this.
18. The Golden Fox Pt 3: When Professor Foxworth and the Rangers get captured by General Bladehog, it'll be up to Ashton to save them.
19. Dog Gone Wedding: When Adrian's eldest brother is planning to get married, the rangers set up preparations for the wedding. Meanwhile, a mysterious monster is attacking the city.
20. Pink with Envy: When Lucy's having a bad day, everything turns for the worst when Sheira and Zerrick terrorize the city.
21. Virus Swarm: When Professor Foxworth updates the W.C.O's computer system, it gets corrupted by Dark Sparrow's nanobots.
22. Air Battle: When Dark Sparrow unleashes his shadow fleet upon the city, the Rangers take to the sky in an arial showdown.
23. Star Blitz: The Rangers race against the clock to stop Sheira and Zerrick from creating a shooting star shower that could destroy the city.
24. Carnival Mayhem Pt 1: When a mysterious carnival comes to Finn Hill, the Rangers decided to check it out. But they don't realize that they're running into a trap.
25. Carnival Mayhem Pt 2: With the remaining rangers under Jackal the Clown's control, it's up to Roy to conquer his fear of clowns and save the day.
26. The Younger Years: While fighting the time clock monster-Jeremy, Lucy, and Adrian got turned into kids. Now it's up to Roy, Kayla, and Ashton to change them back.
That’s all I have for right now. I’ll make a separate post for the main core team of rangers, the main villains, and other main characters. When I get the time, I’ll add more info and whatnot to this post. So until next time, have a good day/night, stay awesome, and may the power protect you!

atasha Irons is the daughter of John Henry's brother, Clay, and Clay's wife Blondel. She is introduced in the first issue of Steel's solo series, where she is initially portrayed as being 13. Like the rest of her family, she knew about Steel's secret identity all along. Contrasting sharply with her brother Jemahl, Natasha is shown to be very level headed and practical. By issue #14, she is shown to be working (presumably as an intern) for a U.S. Senator. She appears to have aged forward to be about 16 somehow. Nat is a supporting character throughout Louise Simonson's run on the series. She is kidnapped by Hazard and Steel has to rescue her. She also uses the drug Tar to help fight at her uncle's side briefly. She is later kidnapped by the villain Plasmus and apparently kills him by shattering once Steel froze the villain (although he later turns up alive). Natasha was devastated at the loss of her beloved great-grandmother, Bess Irons, but is the only one of her family who stays with Steel when he moves to Jersey City (see the Steel entry for more details of the Irons family).
With Christopher Priest at the helm of Steel starting with #34, Nat was radically altered. She was transformed into a more stereotypical modern teenager with a flippant attitude. All trace of her previous work for a U.S. Senator was never referenced. During this time she also meets and befriends a teen named Paul, whom she dubs "Boris". Her father also makes a return as the villain Crash. When an assassin named Skorpio poisons Nat, Crash has to turn himself in so that he can give a blood transfusion and save his daughter. He is never seen nor heard from again.
Nat later goes with Steel to Metropolis when he opens up Steelworks there. She becomes his assistant, even reprogramming Superman's Kryptonian robot Kelex to speak hip hop slang. For a time she is dating a local boy, Boris.[2]
The new SteelEdit
Natasha as Steel. Art by Pascual Ferry.
When the Entropy Aegis of Darkseid traps John, Natasha designs a suit of armor that uses the Aegis' power, teleports to Apokolips, and fights Doomsday with the help of Superman, Superboy, Supergirl, and the pre-Crisis Supergirl.[3]
John is too injured to continue operating as Steel. Having intended to pass his legacy as Steel on to Natasha, John made a new, more advanced suit of armor for her to use.
When Natasha hears that Superman has been injured by a ghostly ninja, she dons her armor and becomes the new Steel. She teams up with Cir-El and Girl 13 to stop the ninja. During the adventure, she uses her hammer to fire an electric pulse into Superman's heart to start it again.
As part of the Superman/Batman "Public Enemies" arc, false news of Batman and Superman's capture by the forces of President Lex Luthor is leaked to draw out their various associates into attacking the White House. Cir-El, Natasha, Krypto, Superboy and the Batman Family do exactly that. Natasha is neutralized early in the incident, staying back to try to rescue Cir-El and Superboy from a crushing deathtrap. Instead, Batman saves them.
Natasha is briefly seen in a cameo role during the events of "Infinite Crisis".
StarlightEdit
In 52, Natasha has a violent falling out with her uncle John, over John's disgust over what he feels is the self-absorbed narcissism of the DC Universe's superhero community. When Natasha discovers that the Teen Titans (whose roster was devastated by the events of Infinite Crisis) are holding an open call for new members, John forbids Natasha from going and instead insists she continue the clearing out debris from the battle of Metropolis. When Natasha refuses, John dismantles her armor, and she is left powerless. John also makes it clear that she will have to build her own armor if she wants to be a super-hero.[4]
Natasha as Starlight.
Soon, Natasha attempts to rebuild her armor, with little success. When she learns that John had his DNA rewritten by the exo-gene, Natasha wrongly assumes John chose to have his DNA altered and snaps.[5]
After a fierce argument with her uncle, Natasha applies for Luthor's "Everyman Project" and becomes one of the first official subjects.[6] When John, looking for Natasha, threatens to kill Luthor at a Lexcorp party, Natasha appears, along with a team of super-powered people in Luthor's employ, and beats him severely. From that point, she is estranged from her uncle, who makes numerous attempts to contact her, which she rebuffs. Gifted with new skills, Natasha is given the codename Starlight.[7] While in battle, she witnesses her friend Eliza Harmon (a.k.a. Trajectory) killed by a new Blockbuster. Natasha is finally contacted by John on New Year's Eve, who forces her to rethink everything that Luthor has told her. After the "Rain of the Supermen," in which Lex Luthor deactivates the powers of each Everyman hero outside of Infinity, Inc. (causing many to plummet from the sky; this forms the basis of the title pun on "The Reign of the Supermen" storyline), Natasha realizes that her uncle was right all along.[8] She then begins working as a double agent within Luthor's organization. However, she is found out and beaten by Luthor, who has acquired superpowers.[9]
Steel and the Teen Titans launch an attack on LexCorp and manage to rescue Natasha. However, Lex stripped her of her Starlight powers.[10] Later, she is seen escorting Luthor into custody, wearing a new set of armour made for her by her uncle.[11] The duo restore Steelworks, and Natasha is later seen, during the World War III assembling a nanotech payload missile to fire over Black Adam, although the missile is stolen by Booster Gold.[12] Natasha survives the battle, and resumes working at Steelworks.
VaporlockEdit
The new Infinity, Inc. series reveals that the Everyman Project has had a lingering effect on its subjects. Natasha now has the ability to dissolve into a cloud of gas, although she has difficulty controlling it.[13] Her uncle suggests she adopt the codename "Vaporlock."[14] In the final issue, of the series all the Infinity Inc members are prisoners in the Dark Side Club.[15] By the end of the Terror Titans miniseries they are released thanks to Miss Martian.[16]
"Jenny" Blake and Project 7734Edit
After being released from the Dark Side Club, the members of Infinity Inc. take new names and infiltrate a government project named Project 7734. The goal of the project is simple: the death of Superman. Towards that end, the government project has placed satellites in space that fire magic lasers, plucked the powerful Atlas from the time stream, release Metallo, and brainwashed people.
Natasha is not sure whom to trust as part of Project: Breach (the brainwashing of Captain Atom). She visits Earth to tell Jimmy Olsen, who has been looking into Project 7734, about Captain Atom and leaves just before Jimmy is found and shot by Codename: Assassin. In the Captain Atom back-up story in Action Comics, Captain Atom remembers who he is, revealing his real name and rank along with the "Codename: Captain Atom". Joining others of Project 7734 (such as Codename: Superwoman and Codename: Metallo), Natasha is part of the team that takes down Captain Atom to brainwash him before they are attacked by the natives of the magical world where Project 7734 is located. The natives want her to help them with Captain Atom.
Following this, Natasha is shown helping Steel rescue civilians during the Reign of Doomsday event. Doomsday attacks Natasha in order to draw Steel's attention, and though she escapes unscathed, Steel is ultimately beaten into submission and captured.[17]
DC RebirthEdit
In the "DC Rebirth," continuity, Natasha is back to using her armor and no longer has any of her Vaporlock abilities.[18] Here she was in a romantic relationship with Traci 13, but they broke up [19] (though it's not confirmed whether she's a lesbian or bisexual). Following the No Justice event, she becomes a member of the new incarnation of the Titans.[20]

Scoob! (2020)
Tumblr media
Directed by Tom Cervone
Rating: 36/100
Tom Cervone’s Scoob! is the first film to arrive from the launch of Warner Animation Group’s nostalgia coup: in the winter the company hopes to profit from the multigenerational appeal of the beloved animated duo, Tom and Jerry, with their first feature film outing since Phil Roman’s less than successful attempt back in 1992. Also scheduled for release next year is the reboot of nineties favorite Space Jam - a reboot which sees NBA Hall of Famer, Michael Jordan, substituted for a more contemporary NBA icon LeBron James (a project which smells so copiously of a corporate cash-grab that one feels slightly embarrassed on behalf of those who will be inevitably duped into the multiplex to watch the live-action fire dump burnish - I say this as someone who will rank amongst that sorry horde). If Scoob! is a harbinger of what is to come, then the horizon for the venture is ominously gloomy.
Everyone’s favorite gluttonous great dane returns to the big-screen in true Scooby Dooby Doo fashion: treadmilling through Venice Beach on top of a giant processed ham. It is not too long before he meets lonesome teenager, Norman, who turns out to be his future sidekick, Shaggy (although this is self-evident by his drab wardrobe, which hasn’t changed much since 1969). The two strike up a friendship, then make friends with some familiar-looking cool kids called Fred, Daphne and Velma, who all then miraculously grow up before our eyes in a ghoulish montage, all as the quintessential theme-tune thumps away in the background. It is from this point where Cervone deviates from the narrative blueprint which has made the series a mainstay across generations of children: that of a group of meddling kids who solve mysteries that on the surface appear spooky, supernatural and inexplicable, but in the end have a logical cause and conclusion. Instead he ditches the show’s DNA, brings in a host of characters from lesser known cartoon shows, such as, Dynomutt, Dog Wonder and Wacky Races, and throws Scooby and the gang into a nutty, kaleidoscopic adventure with knock-off minions, dwarf cavemen, the underworld and a terrifyingly garish incarnation of reality television mogul, Simon Cowell.
Cervone’s “throw everything at the canvas” approach - an approach which has been executed with greater precision and wit by their production company stablemates (the whole of the Lego franchise) - has the effect of laying waste to the inherent identity of Scooby Dooby Doo. This leads to a spooky uncanniness; one starts to realize that you could transplant all of the characters, and the film would still function to a certain degree. Aside from shadily paying lip service to fans by ham-handedly pumping in catchphrases, theme tunes and cartoon sound effects with the cold fluidity of a garden hose with a puncture, Cervone’s film is unable to re-capture the magic or conjure it up. This results in a film which drags by everlastingly in a mindless and colourful splooge. By the third act you find yourself consumed by a burning desire for Dick Dastardly - the film's pencil-stached villain - to live up to his aptronym by mercilessly slashing the Mystery Machine's brakes.

Thought I’d make mockup digiballs based on digivices for the heck of it. (I don’t know what digivice the Cyber Sleuth uses TBH)
Most digiballs come in different colors with many being similar to others so the extra graphics were necessary.
Names and descriptions from left to right:
Proto Ball: An ancient digiball with limited functionality
Jump Ball (alternatively 01 Ball): An ancient obscure digiball that can be used with another Jump/01 Ball to Jogress/DNA Digivolve. Can be used in place of a digidex.
Adventure Ball: A basic digiball. Can be used with crests and are capable of dispelling dark power and creating force fields.
02/D-3 Ball:  An upgraded digiball with additional features, including the capacity for armor evolution and Jogress/DNA Digivolution.
Arc/Tamers/Power Ball: Makes Digimon compatible with modify cards, facilitates matrix and biomerge evolution. Can be used in place of a digidex.
Scanner Ball: Can purify, scan and contain the fractal code of spirits to facilitate spirit evolution and communicate with other Scanner Balls but can not be used to store digimon.
Digiball X: Can only be used to capture X-Virus or X-Antibody digimon.
Cyber Ball: An obscure digiball from a distant land. Can only be used to capture X-Virus or X-Antibody digimon.
Link Digiball: Facilitates DNA/Digisoul Charge-based evolution and also have connectivity with the Digifarm system.
Burst Digiball: An upgraded digiball that facilitates DNA/Digisoul Charge for mega stage digimon, as well as burst mode and the GeoGrey Sword.
Digiball KURATA: A bizarre dark Digiball based on the Link Digiball that is only capable of storing, commanding and evolving Gizumon, Gizumon-AT and Gizumon-XT.
Bio Digiball: A bizarre dark Digiball that doesn’t store anything but DNA/Digisoul and instead facilitates Bio-Hybrid DNA/Digisoul Charge.
Digball Twin: An obscure digiball that resembles two digiballs that are halves of a complete unit.
Fusion/✖ Digiball: Capable of storing multiple digimon at once. Facilitates Digifusion/Digixros, travel between zones and lands and between normal space and digiquartz. Can store code crowns and DigiCards/DigiMemories and can be used to activate DigiCards /DigiMemories.
Darkness Digiball: Functionally identical to a Fusion/✖ Digiball, though it can use the powers of darkness to force a Digixros/Digifuse.
Sleuth Digiball: TBA
Hacker Digiball: TBA
To be added: App Ball, App Duo Ball, Phoneball.
Also just for the hell of it, maybe this one obscure ball shaped Chinese knockoff that Toys n’ Joys used to sell before it closed for good that I don’t remember the name of that you could move around and it would do something. I don’t remember what they were called, only that it was an Asian-sounding word that started with “o”, Onmyoji? Oryuken? Whatever it was, Toywiz never carried them.

Le Guess Who? Festival reveals full 2019 lineup
New additions include the premiere of AEAEA (Patrick Higgins & Nicolas Jaar), Aldous Harding, Deerhoof & Tigue performing Friend Opportunity, Quelle Chris, a special collaboration between William Tyler and Mary Lattimore, and new project ‘Hidden Musics’
Tumblr media
Le Guess Who? has announced the full line-up for the 2019 edition, following the announcement of the curated programs by Fatoumata Diawara, Iris van Herpen & Salvador Breed, Jenny Hval, Moon Duo, Patrick Higgins, and The Bug. Le Guess Who?, taking place in Utrecht on November 7-10, is the Netherlands’ most forward-thinking festival, dedicated to boundary-crossing and genre-defying music from all over the world. Take a look at some of the newly announced artists and the full lineup below... AEAEA AEAEA is the new duo from composers and performers Patrick Higgins and Nicolas Jaar. Utilizing instrumental performance and live digital resampling, the aim of the group is to develop immersive musical environments—sonorous desert islands that both react to, and redevelop against, the live compositions. Both Higgins and Jaar will be using computer processes to resample and reprocess each other’s instruments in real time, unfolding a new vision of modern ritual music and electro-acoustic experimentation. Le Guess Who? is proud to present the premiere of this new project by two of today’s most acclaimed musical visionaries and explorers. The name AEAEA derives from the mythical Greek island of Circe, where Homer’s Odysseus was trapped without time or history.   Hidden Musics In collaboration with producer Ian Brennan and Glitterbeat Records founder Chris Eckman, Le Guess Who? presents the first installment of a new program entitled Hidden Musics. The project aims to present global music traditions that normally don’t reach our shores, often from more remote parts of the world. This is music that has been developed with little to no Western influence, but with a very rich, and often centuries-old, history.   Performing as part of Hidden Musics is the all-female Greek vocal ensemble Isokratisses, who uphold and reinterpret one of the world’s oldest remaining folk music traditions, the polyphonic music of the Epirus region—a force of celebration and hardship for centuries, passed down generation by generation; as well as Pakistan’s Ustad Saami, the last living khayál master, which is a precursor of the ancient, Islamic devotional music of qawwali; and Mexico’s mystical La Bruja de Texcoco (The Witch of Texcoco), who reinvigorate the canon of Latin American folk by creating an astonishing tapestry of traditional Mexican music, baroque, and jazz. Final program additions Other final additions to Le Guess Who? 2019 include the arresting voice of New Zealand songwriter Aldous Harding; Not Waving & Dark Mark, a new collaboration between Italian electronic musician Alessio Natalizia and alt-rock minstrel Mark Lanegan; producer/lyricist/beatsmith Quelle Chris and his singular blend of punk rock, poetry, and experimental hip-hop; veteran avant-garde indie rock band Deerhoof performing their seminal album Friend Opportunity, joined by percussion trio Tigue; Ghanaian duo FOKN Bois, who highlight social and political issues with an infectious mix of satire, shocking sloganeering and performance art; Xylouris White, the alliance between Greek musician Georgios Xylouris and drummer Jim White (Dirty Three); Argentina’s Los Siquicos Litoraleños, whose music is a unique triumph of homegrown rural psychedelia; Russian collective Shortparis, who obscures the boundaries between audiovisual theatre, techno raves and punk rock performance; and the streamlined proto-goth of Holland’s The Sweet Release Of Death. Previously announced for Le Guess Who? 2019 Previously, Le Guess Who? revealed curated programs by the pioneering voice of Mali, Fatoumata Diawara; Dutch fashion radical Iris van Herpen & sound artist Salvador Breed; Norwegian multi-disciplinary artist Jenny Hval; psychedelic/kraut mystics Moon Duo; New York avant-garde composer Patrick Higgins; and shape-shifting electronic producer The Bug. Other artists performing at Le Guess Who? 2019 include Ethio-groove legend Ayalew Mesfin & Debo Band; award-winning jazz vocalist and space disco icon Asha Puthli; Atlanta art-punkers Deerhunter; Holly Herndon presenting her pioneering new album ‘PROTO’ live; Danish pop adventurers Efterklang; Nivhek, the new project of Grouper’s Liz Harris; Swedish prog/psych/counterculture trailblazers Träd, Gräs och Stenar (Träden); juggernaut industrial/metal outfit Godflesh; and many more. The full program for Le Guess Who? 2019 can be found below. Tickets Tickets for Le Guess Who? 2019 are on sale now. Tickets for the Thursday program are €43; tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are €48. 4-Day Festival Passes are available for €148. All prices include service costs.   Le Guess Who? cooperates with The Dutch Council for Refugees for the ‘Grant an Entry’ initiative, which gives visitors the option to buy an additional day ticket for a refugee residing in The Netherlands who would like to visit Le Guess Who? but does not have the financial means to do so.  More info via www.leguesswho.com. Rising star Finn Dobrev came out of nowhere. As in no one has heard of him until recently and he just sort of accidentally became famous. He just unknowingly walked into stardom after being dragged by his friend, celebutante and notorious diva Lauren Pines when the actor playing the love interest quit at the last minute. The director was desperate and needed someone who could tolerate Lauren’s bratty behavior when Lauren called Finn up. The movie was a surprise hit and the rest is history. However when you’re Finn Dobrev, accidental stardom is nothing compared to what happened to him the year before when everything got really weird.
Flashback to a very long time ago, years before the story began, back to Purplewood Forest. There, was three year old Finn completely lost with no memory of his identity other than a beanie with his name on it. For nine years Finn was raised by an alien shapeshifter scientist named Mara and her adopted son, a ghost named Cloud. When Finn was twelve, a disaster struck Island 01010, an epidemic that would claim the lives of over 90% of its inhabitants. In order to save the remaining population, Mara and her team of scientists stopped the mutant virus with cyborg technology. As a result, Finn’s body is a hybrid between human and cyborg with incredible strength and durability while maintaining his consciousness as a human. He was one out of fifty to survive the disaster that eventually led to the island’s abandonment a few years later.
Fast forward to five years after the 01010 disaster to another disaster, this time in Island 02020. Over the years Finn has grown to be quite an adventurer, traveling through time and space helping others out. Not long after his conversion took place, Finn discovered that he had the ability to time travel, a trait he inherited from his father. After winning a battle and obtaining a key that allowed him to travel dimensions, Finn was like a hero in many places. From stopping a comet with a malfunctioning spaceship to solving cases like stolen socks to overthrowing an incompetent group of overpowered jerks, Finn Dobrev and Cloud the ghost were an unstoppable duo. Of course there were times when things went wrong like when they accidentally let a bunch of time criminals, like Finn’s father, free or causing thousands of dollars in property damage at Bubblerum Sea, which happens like once a month. It’s a good thing that Finn and Cloud are friends with everyone there, including their leader Rena. Living on Bubblerum was like a wild adventure.
And then everything changed when Finn, Cloud, and Rena were shipwrecked on the coast of 02020.
Cloud, being the overly curious and mischievous one, accidentally unleashed an evil spirit hidden away in an old arcade. Of course, Rena was furious when she found Finn and Cloud turning the village upside down in an attempt to catch the spirit. When it was clear that the spirit had left Bubblerum, the three went back to the arcade to find clues about where it could have gone. Hidden away in a bookshelf were the files of various people who lived in the Computer Isles, including 01010. In the very back of Island 050505’s records was a doctor named Aimee Ligaya, married to Marius Dobrev, two children: Tala and Finn. On the back were their pictures with a big red stamped marked missing on top of them. According to the date on the papers, the record was typed over fifteen years ago.
Upon finding that discovery, Finn was insistent on visiting 050505 to learn about his past. As he grew older, he began to wonder about a lot of things like his existence, his mortality, and most of all, his ancestry. After meeting with his father, whose answers are left for debate, Finn was left with more questions than ever. It took a lot of begging but Rena and Cloud agreed to help him make the dangerous journey to the ghost town of 050505.
Along the way, the three of them faced many obstacles including a fire breathing serpent that kept trying to put them to sleep, three annoying dragonflies that kept trying to sell them a weird elixir to make them charming, seaweed that makes everything look like weeds, and finally a whirlpool storm. The boat was destroyed and the three of them spent the next two days stranded in the ocean before washing up on the rocky shore of 02020, unaware of what is to come next.
To this day, no one is exactly sure what happened in the month of October that year. After being washed up on the shore, a scientist took the three of them in and started asking a million questions about their motives. Then while doing a DNA scan, Finn’s came up with a match. In shock, the scientist dropped everything and called for a doc bot, who took everyone to a hidden basement. There it was revealed that the scientist was Finn’s sister Tala and the doc bots were controlled by their mother Aimee, who pretty much ran everything through a command booth.
The big moment didn’t exactly go as Finn pictured it, especially with all the confusion going on after spinning around the ocean for two days straight but it went a lot smoother than he thought. Everything would have been good and happy if it wasn’t for that evil spirit Cloud released, which was basically a landmine that resulted in everything else that was about to go down. The spirit, a “wobblewonk” was a powerful force of nature who was responsible for the disasters that took place in 01010 and 05050. In 01010 was the epidemic and in 05050 was a mega earthquake and whirlpool storm that scattered its inhabitants everywhere and tore the island apart. Aimee and Tala landed on 02020 with little to no memory of what happened. By the time their memories returned, four years had passed and there were no signs of Marius and Finn in the Isle Registry. Heartbroken at their apparent demise, Aimee dedicated herself to helping 02020’s inhabitants thrive and prevent another disaster from occurring. Tala, whose life was saved by a team of biochemicalists, joined the DNA taskforce to improve the quality of the islander’s lives and create new lifeforms.
What happened in the month of October resulted in a series of time loops that would reset itself after 02020 was wiped out by the wobblewonk. The first disaster that struck was a lightning storm that struck the control tower and burnt down everything. Before the big fire, Finn and Cloud failed to defeat the wobblewonk, whose purpose was to destroy life. Moments before their demise, Cloud and Finn came up with an idea that could prevent the disaster from happening and save everyone’s lives. By combining Finn’s time travel abilities with Cloud’s ghostly powers, they could create an alternate timeline to fix things. Unfortunately they learned that trying to figure out the laws of time would just bring on more problems.
Hundreds and hundreds of time loops later, things seemed hopeless for Island 02020. The first reset took them to a time when the disaster was a flock of mutant insects that ate everything. Another loop involved a hidden landmine at the core of the island. Some loops repeated but even then Finn and Cloud were still unprepared. And there were times when freedom was within their grasp, only to be taken away by the wobblewonk. Eventually Finn and Cloud’s memories began to blur as they began to loose track of exactly how many times they reset. As time went on, Cloud realized that their powers were weakening when the resets started taking them back later in time.
It wasn’t until the reset began two weeks before the set disaster date when the tables began turning. To Finn’s surprise, Rena, Aimee, and Tala seemed to remember past timelines, which allowed them to avoid previous mistakes. While Cloud grew more weary and resigned, Finn became more determined. He fought hard to change fate by building resources and reaching out to others like Lauren, the Bubblerum council, and other friends from other lands, times, and dimensions. Still, every move he made, he was shooting in the dark. No matter what, something was bound to go wrong but at least if everyone put their heads together, there was a better chance of winning. Finn wouldn’t rest until the day came when the wobblewonk was defeated without any casualties.
The final showdown occurred on October 30 when the wobblewonk was finally defeated. This time, Finn and Cloud had the upper hand as they knew exactly what kind of disaster to prepare for. By putting together a network of allies, they  made extra sure that they were covered. From a powerful pesticide totally harmless to humanoids, gas masks that convert poisonous air to oxygen, storm proof shelters stocked to the brim to survive for centuries underground or above ground, a stock full of medicine and gadgets to deal with the toughest diseases, multiple back up plans, and more, 02020 was more than ready.
Still, there were many close calls but somehow they pulled through, barely. Each obstacle they survived bought on relief and stress. And then there was one final challenge, facing the wobblewonk itself. Unfortunately that was the one battle they were unprepared for. Just when things were about to go south, Cloud had one more trick up his sleeve. By using his remaining power he sacrificed himself to fight the wobblewonk to the death while everyone else retreated to the sky shelter. Following a massive explosion that left 02020 in shambles, the wobblewonk was defeated and fate was finally broken. In the weeks that followed, Finn and Rena along with their friends helped rebuild the island.
A few months later Finn and Rena returned to Bubblerum where the citizens surprised them with a statue dedicated to Cloud. Finn took a break from his travels for a while, contemplating semi-retirement to pursue other things. Things weren’t the same without Cloud by his side but knowing that his brother would want him to be happy, it made things a little easier. He keeps in touch with his mother and sister often and plans to make another visit when the seas are calmer. For the first time Finn enjoyed not having anything to do for weeks at a time.
Then one day Lauren called him, begging for help. With a limited filming schedule for her movie the director needed an actor fast and all the other A listers refused. Finn being a good friend and one of the few people Lauren wasn’t a total butt to, he accepted. Being a love interest wasn’t high up on his list but it was an interesting experience and before he knew it, Finn became a rising movie star. So when Lauren invited him to attend this hip college in Peace Coast Island for rising celebs, mainly so it won’t look like she doesn’t have any friends, Finn figured, why not? As Mara always told Finn and Cloud, there’s always something new worth trying out. Finn is always full of surprises and becoming an actor is just one of them.

Decoding The DNA Of The Guardians Of The Galaxy (Part 1)
From 2008 to 2011 writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning told the tale of the Guardians. But it was more than merely a story about Star-Lord and his team. DnA (Dan and Andy) piloted the last great era for Marvel’s cosmic realms, taking characters created across forty years, picking up long dormant plot threads, and bringing their stories full circle. It’s a love letter to Marvel cosmic. Come with us as we attempt to decode the DnA code of the Guardians of Marvel cosmic.
Decoding the DnA of the Guardians of the Galaxy
It’s no secret that without the 2008 volume of Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot and the rest wouldn’t be what they are today. But the 2008 Guardians book was only one part of a larger cosmic tapestry being woven. While this book saw the Guardians of the Galaxy, as we know them today, coming together for the first time it was also the final chapter in a saga stretching far back in the annals of Marvel history.
Working within such expansive and long enduring universes as Marvel Comics or DC, comic book writers can approach the subject matter in a number of ways. Some writers choose to build upon the works which had come previously, picking up the characters and plot threads where the previous creative teams left them. Some writers choose to disregard everything to have come before, opting for something completely different that stands by itself. Depending on one’s point of view there are positives and negatives to both approaches.
By 2008 readers were already in the middle of a new renaissance for Marvel’s cosmic characters. This new era for Marvel’s outer space heroes and villains can be traced back to the 2003 book Thanos volume 1 by writer/artist Jim Starlin. Jim Starlin is one of the most influential creators for Marvel’s cosmic realm having created such characters as Thanos, Drax, Gamora, and others. Starlin is also responsible for writing and drawing the defining story arcs for Captain Mar-Vell and Adam Warlock. Suffice it to say that the works of Jim Starlin are essential to Marvel’s cosmic universe.

The 2003 volume of Thanos was the third part of a trilogy beginning with the mini series Thanos: Infinity Abyss. The end of the second story in the trilogy, Marvel: The End, left Thanos’ character at a crossroads. The Mad Titan started down a road of redemption which lasted twelve issues, the latter six issues by writer Keith Giffen. After Thanos, Giffen continued with a Drax mini series, Drax’s first ever solo series which rolled directly into the Marvel event Annhilation. And it was within Annihilation that the Marvel cosmos found their DnA.
Writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning didn’t begin their tenure in the cosmic universe with the Guardians of the Galaxy however, but rather with a character just as important if not more so: Nova (Richard Rider). Abnett and Lanning wrote four issues of Nova tying in to the main event of Annihilation. In the aftermath Nova received an ongoing monthly series written by DnA which built to a number of events inlcuding Annihilation Conquest, War of Kings, and The Thanos Imperative. Without the success of the Nova monthly series and Annihilation Conquest the 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy may not have come into being.
Abnett and Lanning completely embraced what Keith Giffen had written and ran with it. It goes without saying that to fully experience the story of the 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy one needs to read the events and stories building up to it as well as the surrounding stories such as Nova and War of Kings. DnA not only forged a new saga with these characters but immersed themselves in Marvel’s cosmic continuity. The writers were so deeply entrenched in Marvel’s rich cosmic history that the story The Thanos Imperative, the culmination of Abnett and Lanning’s work on Nova and the Guardians, also acts as a grand finale to Marvel’s entire cosmic saga spanning the decades.
The writing duo crafted a story that keeps giving. The more you read and research Marvel’s cosmic characters the more DnA’s saga gives you. The various chromosomes embedded in DnA’s saga are aplenty, running deep and far. For the remainder of the article we’re going to attempt to unravel some of these DnA strands.
Ode to Mark Gruenwald
One of the major influences on Abnett and Lanning’s cosmic saga is the work of writer Mark Gruenwald. Gruenwald’s work at Marvel Comics is vast and prolific, having contributed greatly to Captain America’s saga and others. Another character Mark Gruenwald developed and wrote extensively was none other than Wendell Vaughn a.k.a. Quasar. Gruenwald wrote 59 of the 60 issues of Quasar Volume 1 and, like DnA, immersed himself deeply in Marvel’s cosmic continuity. Before that volume Mark Gruenwald also wrote Quasar’s adventures in the pages of Marvel Two-In-One and the Avengers where Quasar’s ultimate nemesis, Maelstrom, was created as well as the character Garthan Saal. Project PEGASUS, a facility based in New York state dedicated to the research of extra-dimensional and extraterrestrial objects, was also a creation of Gruenwald’s.

When Abnett and Lanning began writing Nova, Richard Rider had just received the full power of the Nova Force. Only one character before Richard had ever possessed the full power of the Nova Force and that character was Garthan Saal. The Nova Force was never meant to housed in a single person, resulting in Garthan Saal being driven insane. After the Annihilation Wave destroyed Xandar and the entire Nova Corps, the Nova Force had no other choice but to house itself within the last surviving Nova Centurian, Richard Rider. At the beginning Richard is petrified with fear that he too will be driven insane like Saal was. His motivation at first is to do everything possible not to end up like Saal.
Then Nova encounters Wendell Vaughn. Quasar helps Nova come to grips with the great burden thrust upon him. Quasar sets the example for Richard that an Earth man can carry the weight of the universe on his shoulders. Quasar dies in the events leading up to Annihilation, his powerful Quantum Bands being taken by Annihilus. In the final moments of Annihilation, the Quantum Bands leave the villain, with Phyla-Vell becoming the new Quasar.
After Annihilation, during the Nova ongoing series, Nova returns to Earth where he discovers his brother, Robbie, working at Project PEGASUS. There we meet a number of characters from Marvel continuity and a new character named Dr. Gruenwald (named and designed after Mark Gruenwald). Wendell Vaughn returns too, made of pure quantum energy, and becomes a recurring character in the series. Wendell’s story crosses over into the 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy series. Phyla and Drax descend into the realm of Oblivion in an attempt to rescue Moondragon. There they encounter Wendell Vaughn in his quantum form as well as Wendell’s old enemy, Maelstrom.
Perhaps Gruenwald’s greatest Quasar story is an arc titled Cosmos In Collision where Wendell faces off against Maelstrom. During that story arc Maelstrom cut off both of Wendell’s hands in an attempt to take the Quantum Bands for himself. At the time Maelstrom was acting as the avatar of the cosmic abstract, Oblivion, and became an even greater threat to the universe than even Thanos.

Going back to DnA’s Guardians, when Phyla, Drax, and Wendell are in the realm of Oblivion the quantum bands mysteriously fall off Phyla’s wrists only to be picked up once again by Maelstrom. In a moment of cosmic irony, Maelstrom’s hands are chopped off by Drax and the Quantum Bands return to Wendell.
Wendell, now Quasar once more, continues playing a part in DnA’s cosmic saga. As the story draws closer and closer to The Thanos Imperative Quasar’s role is expanded. By the end of The Thanos Imperative and then into both Annihilators mini series Quasar becomes to the new lead character. The team of the Annihilators is spiritually reminiscent of Gruenwald’s short lived cosmic team book, The Star-Masters. Both the Star Masters and the Annihilators consisted of the members Quasar, Beta Ray Bill, and the Silver Surfer. The Annihilators also had Gladiator of the Shi’Ar as a member and the Star Masters had Gladiator’s cousin, Xenith, as a member. Xenith, also created by Mark Gruenwald, would return for the first time since her days in the Star Masters during DnA’s massive event, War of Kings.
War of Kings pit the Kree Empire, led by the Inhumans, against the Shi’Ar Empire. It isn’t often that the Kree and the Shi’Ar meet. Prior to War of Kings the Kree and the Shi’Ar met in an epic event titled Operation: Galactic Storm. Again Gruenwald was one of the central architects of Operation Galactic Storm. As one might expect, Quasar played a central role in the story along with the Starjammers, Ronan the Accuser, Lilandra, Deathbird, Gladiator and the Imperial Guard. All these characters and more would play significant roles in War of Kings as well. Operation Galactic Storm saw the destruction of the Kree Empire and afterwards occupation by the Shi’Ar. In War of Kings DnA give the Kree their long awaited retribution as the Shi’Ar finally experience defeat.
And that’s only the start of our brief and annotated Guardians of the Galaxy. Join us next month for Part 2.

I had the feeling you’d have everything planned. /lh

Oh, let’s make it look like a ghost from the game destiny or like chopper from Star Wars rebels.

And let’s add a little laser pointer to it so it can be used to play with mayhem and ray.

I have and I greatly enjoyed it. Honestly it has to be my favorite since I loved Rebels and it shows my favorite villain(ish its hard to tell with him) Thrawn in live action.
I love the fact they used his voice actor from the cartoon to play him. Plus my favorite droid in all of star wars is chopper, he is the sassiest droid ever and I love it.
Andor was good too but I guess I prefer Ahsoka since I like that it's mainly taking characters from the cartoon and making them live action.
