Vladimir Putin has lost more of his top commanders in the war in Ukraine than previously reported, according to Japanese and Western intelligence.
The estimate of Russian generals killed increased to 10 this week after former retired Major General Dmitry Ulyanov, 44, reportedly died in a firefight in the Donbas region. A top paratrooper and commander of the elite 98th Guards Airborne Division, Ulyanov's death was the first among Russian generals reported for several months.
Ukrainian sources claimed in July that 14 Russian generals had been killed although some claims have been rebutted. While there have not been reports of Putin losing generals for several months, the scale of losses of such high-ranking officers is rare.
However, Japan estimates that 20 of Putin's generals have been killed in the war, based on intelligence gathered by Tokyo in cooperation with the United States and Europe.
Retired General Kiyofumi Iwata, the former chief of staff of Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force, described the tally as "unbelievably high," while speaking to Nikkei Asia, especially when compared with the U.S. which has seen almost no combat deaths of officers ranked that highly.
"The death of a general weakens troop morale," he said.
The news outlet reported that one theory for such high losses was that Ukraine located commanders by tracking signals from their cell phones, which were used due to communication shortcomings earlier in the war but have since been banned.
Iwata believed that the cyber warfare capabilities of Ukraine's forces enabled Kyiv to find the locations of the generals, who are typically sent into the field.
A Japanese intelligence official told Nikkei that another reason that the generals' whereabouts were known was due to "informants" in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, much of which are controlled by Russia.
Newsweek reached out to the Russian defense ministry for comment.
"What is interesting is not so much that they're losing quality, but what they will be losing is people who are confident because the generals have got that far because they're loyal and are used to bullying people," Glen Grant, a military analyst with the Baltic Security Foundation, told Newsweek.
"What you can't tell is that it might actually have a positive effect for Russia," he said. "You lose these people who've been selected not because of their ability, but because of their loyalty."
"Maybe some of the people who come in behind some of the officers are better and less on the greasy pole," he added.

"Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk" as a time machine in Salzburg.
“Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” as a time machine in Salzburg.
Another first time for discovering new opera in live performance – I have seen Shostakovich’s “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” recorded on Mezzo, while nothing compares to the live experience with excellent orchestra led by legendary conductor and proper cast and staging. This was one excellent evening full of excitement and great musical experiences. Regardless of last-minute sad news that Nina Stemme…

Breaking News! Putin’s Vast Riches Hidden at Costco What if we all woke up one morning and everybody understood the Russian mentality? Just think, instead of listening to fairytales about Russia and Vladimir Putin, the world would be able to swiftly wade through mountains of negative bullshit to see the truth. This is the story of the “other” Vladimir Putin, the one whose meager salary and means were just revealed. The angry pirates that tried to rob Russians of their legacy hate Vladimir Putin. They also hate the Russia Putin and his colleagues are trying to lift up. The Bill Browders, Mikhail Khodorkovskys, George Soros, and even Russian media tycoons like Vladimir Gusinsky are the poster boys for the banking elite’s vendetta against Russia’s leader. Browder got a crooked U.S. Congress to pass the Magnitsky Act, a ludicrous law to punish Russia and Putin for not knuckling under to the supra-capitalists bent on stealing their country’s vast wealth. But the larger plan grows more evident with each passing Washinton Post Russophobia story. The latest wrongful and ignorant rampage against Putin concerns his “alleged” wealth. Hours after the Kremlin released the Russian leader’s salary and net worth statistics, the ravaging liberal order wolves howled in pain about expensive wristwatches Putin owns. This Quartz story is typical. According to the “geniuses” of western economic, Putin is worth in between $70 and $200 billion dollars. He is also the 21st Century version of the Wizard of Oz for his ability to totally hide the vastest horde of wealth ever accumulated by a single person (Sarcasm a must). This mysterious wealth is complete hearsay. From the Washington Post to screwball sites like Wealthy Gorilla, the Russian leader’s bankroll is ???? just because somebody said so. Browder got the Putin wealth fantasy going when he claimed the former KGB officer hoarded $200 billion at about the same time the Hermitage Capital boss was put on Russia’s Most Wanted list. But all the speculation is just that. The propaganda takes advantage of the fact most westerners do not understand the Russians. Putin does not need money. This is the simple reality no Putin expert brings to the forefront. Think about what I am saying here. Every “expert” you read or hear discussing Vladimir Putin leaves off the simple person behind the fantasy. I’ve discussed Putin’s past and his rise to power many times, and nowhere in his character is there a glimmer of oligarch selfishness. Forget the fact that no one can find this imaginary treasure horde. Leave off all outward appearances of the Russian leader’s life. To know Putin is to study his devotion to family, to service, and to the larger plan for Russia. What if all those watches were gifted to Putin? Can you imagine Vladimir Putin having to whip out his credit card anytime he goes to dinner? What about transportation? Housing? A boat ride along the Volga? Do you think Vladimir Putin will EVER need a single rouble for the rest of his life? The man saved Russian businessmen, Russian soldiers, Russian doctors and lawyers and fishermen from the biggest robbery in human history – and the “experts” wonder from the capitalist billionaire mentality. Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that Putin does want to see the return of the U.S.S.R. Did Stalin maintain vast coffers of coins to fund his vacations? When Nikita Khrushchev died did they discover Italian villas and Swiss bank accounts? How about Leonid Brezhnev? Please take the time to read this declassified CIA report on Brezhnev to gain insight into the Russian mentality. Maybe Lenin’s great-grandchildren live lifestyles like Paris Hilton or Donald Trump’s kids? No, the last relative of Lenin is Dmitry Ulyanov, an Orthodox priest in the western Russian city of Ivanovo. Lenin’s niece Olga Ulyanova, a writer, passed away back in 2011 leaving no fortune. Before you accept the Vladimir Putin his vast army of adversaries claim he is, try using common objectivity in the absence of truth. Why would 10,000 newspapers, a horde of think tanks, western intelligence agencies, the globalist elites, and even Hollywood stars accuse Vladimir Putin without a shred of proof? The answer grows more evident with current events such as the incarceration of journalist and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. The “proof” of all wrongdoing does not reside in the Putin camp. Western technocrats, oligarchs, hedge funders, and elite bankers stink to high heavens and we can prove their brand of larceny – but Putin is still the criminal? It’s gotten to the point where villainizing Putin is a kind of crucifixion. I just hope Russia’s savior is not suffering for no good reason. Finally, when you get the time to research a bit, try to figure out how media like Business Insider put their retail shopping reporters on the case of Vladimir Putin. A story entitled “9 Vladimir Putin quotes that offer terrifying insights into his mind,” by Aine Cain, who usually covers Walmart, Target, and Costco, reveals the idiocy intelligent people are asked to believe. Cain’s story entitled was republished by The Independent in the UK without so much as a glance into the author’s experience. You get it, right? Even the Walmart experts have been assigned to do the criminal profile of the world’s richest man. Here, you can read about how Costco looked when it first opened back in 1983. Maybe that retail store is where Putin’s vast riches are hidden! Vladimir Putin has no need of vast fortunes. His name is all he wants or needs. I rest my “expert” case.

Don Carlo at the Bavarian State Opera
Music Direction Daniele Rustioni Producer Jürgen Rose Don Carlo Charles Castronovo Elisabeth of Valois Maria Agresta Filippo II John Relyea Rodrigo, Marquis of Posa Boris Pinkhasovich Princess Eboli Clémentine Margaine The Grand Inquisitor Dmitry Ulyanov | 28.07.2023
The grey and gloomy weather did not hinder the enthusiasm of the audience at the Bavarian State Opera, where they gathered to witness Jürgen Rose's masterful production of Don Carlo. I only managed to secure a standing place for this sold-out production. Nevertheless, it turned out to be an excellent location at a very reasonable price. My view remained mostly unobstructed, making it a better experience than the more expensive seat I had in Zürich.
The staging was simple, kept minimal for most of the time. The first scene started in the dark Fontainebleau forest, with a giant crucifix serving as the centerpiece and a constant reminder to the omnipotence of the catholic church in the storyline.
The best part of the staging was the auto-da-fé scene. The condemned heretics were tied up on a woodpile as the crowd sang the chorus. A red carpet was rolled out, welcoming the royal procession, followed by a parade depicting the Via Dolorosa, and ending with the presentation of La Pietà. The final scene of Act 3 peaked with the burning of the heretics (with REAL fire), which is often cowardly omitted by other productions. As the curtain dropped, it was greeted by a rapturous ovation from the audience (including me!).
It was a powerhouse presentation by the cast, but, in my opinion, the best performance award would go to Relyea as Filippo II. His commanding presence and emotive singing dominated every scene he was in. While Don Carlo is the title character, Filippo gets the best moments in the opera, from his iconic soliloquy to the duets with the other characters. This version also featured Lacrymosa, giving another opportunity for Relyea's Filippo to shine. I spoke to a young audience member during the intermission (we were probably the only ones who were still under 30). This was his third time seeing Don Carlo, and he said Relyea performed even better in München than in Covent Garden.

Castronovo and Agresta were solid as Carlo and Elisabeth, respectively. During the Fontainebleau duet, they constantly moved around the stage as if it was a rehearsed dance choreography, but it never looked unnatural.

As much as I was disappointed by Tézier's withdrawal, Pinkhasovich was still a top-class replacement. The audience went wild at the end of his bromance duet with Castronovo's Carlo. Ulyanov delivered exquisite vocalism as the Grand Inquisitor, although he sounded younger than Relyea's Filippo. I don't want to label Margaine as the weakest link here, but I wish she had put more subtlety in her attempt at hitting those high notes. Nevertheless, she was dramatically excellent in the role of Eboli.
TL;DR: I would stand up for 4,5 hours all over again for this production and THIS cast!

Now on Propagandaworld.org Statue of lenin with his nephew Victor walking. Made of metal, heavy, and in very good condition. Viktor Ulyanov was the son of Dmitry Ilyich Ulyanov, who was one of the 2 brothers of Lenin. Viktor’s father died in 1943. Victor was born in 1917 in the same year of the October Revolution. In his later life Viktor was trained as an aircraft engineer in the late 1930’s, and associated with an unidentified research and development agency in the defense industry. He went to work for the agency in World War II. Because of his relationship to Lenin,  Viktor Ulyanov retired with a ”personal pension of central government rank,” a honor normally reserved for high officials.

俄羅斯電視台稱即將播出自己的《切爾諾貝利》劇集
Tumblr media
