a sleepy and sloppy comment on the tiny amount of fandom wank that is wafting about the place:

back in September 2023 the masholes discord server had to kick an individual for bad behaviour. since then, they have been attempting to stir up trouble by way of multiple fake accounts, baity anons, the lot. our policy up until now has been to not feed the troll, but a) they have finally managed to dredge up a slight amount of attention from other people, and b) I have run out of cheeks to turn and fucks to give.

there have been very (very!) few issues in our server, especially relevant to its size, but I am 100% confident in our ability to back up every single action we have taken in response to any of it if needs be. in fact, I would say that the only concern I have about our conduct is that we have occasionally been too lenient. it is a really lovely space and we - that is the mods AND the other members - work hard to keep it that way.

starting with razor youre 100% right. he and his pack sleep in giant nap piles anyway, and you’re already his family. he’s like the worlds best weighted blanket, and you can run your hands through his hair if you’re stressed. 10/10 would nap in a field with again.

i imagine childe’s a touchy guy, for little reason outside of I Said So. always greets his siblings with a hug, and is more than willing to give you one if you’d like. you’re safe in his hugs, whether it’s in the middle of a street or in a private corner of the palace. 10/10

kazuha is also someone very willing to just go lie in the grass for a bit. you don’t have to touch him if you don’t want to, and he’ll keep watch as you rest, arranging flowers in your hair. 11/10 extra point because he’s the love of my life your honor

hu tao isn’t the best at physical affection but always knows just what to say to cheer you up. would offer to go for a walk, so something to get your mind in a better place, anything to make you smile for just a moment. 11/10 extra point for finally being on my blog despite how she’s haunted (pun intended) my mind

both yaoyao and klee do their very best to make you feel better by showing you things that make them happy. klee gives you dodoco and yaoyao shows you some beautiful spots in liyue, both sharing stories in one way or another. when you get to wherever it is you’re going—please guide klee away from lakes—they likely have a bit too much energy to sit with you, but will return to you with every interesting thing they find. yaoyao brings you a flower, klee shows a small rock she found by the river (oh lord are there fish in there?) and names it something silly. 10/10 they stay silly

If you mean this literally and not metaphorically or figuratively, I can say first of all that this is very humbling and surprising to me, that something like my lil Doctor Who fanfic can give you so much motivation to keep going on hard days. Secondly, if you do mean it literally and you have been struggling with thoughts of ending things, I want to take that very seriously. I would urge you, like you said, from one person to another, to find hope not in something material like a story you have loved (mine or otherwise!) but to find hope in something immaterial, something that lasts. Good stories are so great because they mimic truth, and beauty, and goodness, and those qualities are found infallibly in proper hope: Jesus Christ. I'm telling you this from personal experience, because that's where I find my hope on days when I want to quit. thinking about the item description on the dante ring and just... the scope of skyblock. obviously it's bigger than what we see as a player, the hub isnt inhabited by like 12 villagers and the mayor and a handful of street vendors. but HOW big is this place? how many islands are there that we as players just never visit, islets that are much much smaller, massive places much farther off that are important to the npcs but players dont have a use for them so we never hear about them

there was a hidden warehouse somewhere. could have been the hub, could have been somewhere bigger like the crimson isle, could have been somewhere we dont know about yet. could have even been an undocumented island. it's implied that the portals are just connections between point A and point B, not actual dimensional portals

it could have been somewhere you can only get to by flying to make sure it stays off the radar

and who works in these places? how many people live in these areas? for every warehouse there's workers. for every shop there's people who restock, people they sell to, people they come home to. i wanna know more soooooo bad. was it just more of his goons or did he rope other npcs into this? did they know what they were making, who they were supporting? did they care? did he pay well?

I haven’t used my tumblr in four years, and I never thought the reason I’d be back for a bit would be because of something tragic happening. Never thought the first post on the One Direction page in years would be because of this.

I grew up with One Direction, been a fan since X factor and I was only 14. This fandom shaped me, I learnt English, met so many people from all around the world, I’ve woken up early to listen to their singles being released on the radio, I’ve cried, laughed. Made friendships that’ll last me a life time, traveled to see these friends. And I can’t help but feel some of this has been slightly tainted, there’ll always been some sort of sadness connected to this from now on.

I’ve spent my days watching compilations, reading people’s posts, listening to their music, talked to my friends. Crying on and off. It’s such a surreal and bittersweet situation.

I truly thought one day I’d be front from at their reunion tour again.

I’m having such a hard time putting everything into words.
