47. DIY: Vasen aus Pappmaché

Material: leere, saubere Flaschen (Plastik oder Glas), Zeitungspapier, Malerkrepp, 1 EL Speisestärke, 500 ml Wasser, Küchenmixer, Schüssel, Sieb, Pinsel, Acrylfarbe

Alter: ab 10 Jahre

Noch keine Idee, was ihr zum Muttertag schenken könntet? Aus alten Flaschen und Zeitungspapier könnt ihr dekorative Vasen selbst herstellen...

1. Vasenform gestalten:

Nehmt euch zuerst eine oder zwei Seiten Zeitungspapier und wickelt sie etwas zusammengeknüllt, um die leere Flasche. Mit Klebeband befestigt ihr die Seiten. So entsteht die spätere Form der Vase.

2. Pulpe herstellen:

Schnappt euch nun mehrere Seiten Zeitungspapier und reißt es in kleine Schnipsel. Diese gebt ihr mit dem Wasser und der darin aufgelösten Speisestärke in den Mixer und mixt das Ganze durch, so dass ein Brei entsteht. Sollte der Brei zu zäh sein, einfach noch etwas mehr Wasser dazugeben. Den fertigen Brei gebt ihr in ein Sieb und presst so viel Feuchtigkeit wie möglich mit den Händen aus, so dass das Wasser in die darunter liegende Schüssel abtropfen kann und der Brei nicht zu nass ist. Nun habt ihr eure Pulpe, aus der ihr eure Vase modellieren könnt.

3. Vase formen:

Nun nehmt ihr etwas Pulpe in die Hände und drückt sie Stück für Stück um die Flasche herum an, bis die ganze Oberfläche damit bedeckt ist. Sollte die Pulpe zu flüssig sein und von der Oberfläche rutschen, dann presst das überschüssige Wasser noch mal mit den Händen aus.

4. Trocknen lassen:

Stell die Vase in dem Sieb mit der Schüssel an einen luftigen und sonnigen Ort (Fensterbrett, Balkon, Terrasse) und lasst sie durchtrocknen. Nach etwa 3 Tagen sollte die Pulpe hart sein.

5. Bemalen oder bekleben:

Nun könnt ihr eure Vase mit Farbe und Pinsel bemalen oder alternativ mit bunten Schnipseln aus Papier bekleben.
